Look on their social media for my full reviewEdit : I told the owner I didn’t want the dog anymore because of many unprofessional reasons including them lying and saying he was good with cats when they actually didn’t know. I got a dog from another place . I have no idea why she responded that way. I’m not sorry that I didn’t want the dog anymore.
I adopted a dog from here. The staff is wonderful. I also boarded my dog here while I was away on a business trip. The staff once again took great care of my dog. I would highly recommend them!!!Update: Have brought my dog back to be groomed and boarded when i had a business trip they do an amazing job. Also started bringing her in for training and Jen has been absolutely awesome! Not only would I recommend them for adoption but also the other services they provide. They are truly exceptional!!!
WE LOVE BUCKEYE! We adopted our Gussy from Buckeyes and we recently took him back to stay while we were away on vacation. I was so worried he was going to be sad or think that we abandoned him, but I was reassured by all of the videos and photos they posted on their Facebook page everyday. Our Gussy had the time of his life with all of his puppy friends and they have kept in close contact with us since the day we adopted him. We unfortunately live an hour away or we would be taking him and our other dog here for daycare on days when were not home! Every employee weve come across has been courteous and friendly, the facilities are clean, and the pups have a giant space to run around at. 10/10, will always recommend.
I recently was interested in a dog at the location. I had tried to ask the person I was emailing for any type of phone number I could reach them at to ask some more in-depth questions but was more so brushed aside and told there was not even a good time to reach them at. I then explained the story as best I could over email and was told that a appointment was unlikely. I then told them alittle about my background and what we were looking for in a dog. During the whole encounter it seemed very stand-offish and not very welcoming. At the end of the conversation I was told that I would not be a good fit after no real contact and a handful of emails.
This rescue is a work in progress. Surviving on donations, they are continuing to make improvements to the facility. Staff seems knowledgeable especially handling the breeds & types of dogs making it to this rescue. They routinely handle pit bull and pit mixes and larger dog breeds. The trainer & staff(some volunteers) work very hard to rehabilitate dogs coming from bad situations. The place is clean & dogs are well cared for and have plenty of room to run & play. They also board & groom some local dogs. If you are looking to volunteer your time of donate to the cause, please contact them.
Its hard when you have a pit/mix. A lot of places are not very welcoming to these kind of dogs. HOWEVER, Buckeye Mission accepted my dog. He LOVES this place. I dont know how but my dog knows when Saturday comes he goes here. He is waking me up at 7am all excited so he can go get spoiled and play all day. LOVE THIS PLACE. The staff is amazing too!!
We had no choice but to board our dog for a week while we were out of town. It was a very hard decision for us. Buckeyes mission made us feel much better about the whole experience. Our dog doesnt do well with other animals and is old. They made her feel calm and relaxed while keeping her safe from other animals. They also played with her which always helps our dogs anxiety. The staff is friendly and the place was very affordable! This was a five star experience and would reccomend this place to anyone who needs to board their four legged family!
Super homophobia going on and micro aggressions! I ended up not wanting the dog because I just couldn’t give my business to a place like that. I ended up just not responding to them anymore. I decided to go through another place and got a different dog and I’m so happy with him. Please look elsewhere.
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE BUCKEYE Daycare!! They have taken in my little guy Zeus so often and he has made so many fur friends..this place is top notch when you’re looking for someone to watch your fur son or daughter... they are so loving with the animals and how they have their own spaces to run instead of being boarded up in a tiny cage.. Especially when you fur son is 175lbs...
Not understanding, can be rough with the dogs, doesnt take responsibly I worked here I would know they have poor staff that doesnt treat you well didnt help me when i asked for It said theyd make me a list because I have disabilties never did then fired me IN FRONT of people not only that but lied on the firing thing without even warning me I would never In a million years leave my puppy here

2022-02-17I have adopted 2 dogs from here. Everything that is posted about the dog that your interested in is absolutely 💯 true and correct. The first dog sounded too good to be true to me and I was wondering if this place was just trying to get rid of their dogs. I met the dog Pitter but he wound up with the name Harley later. Harley was explained both on line and in person 100 percent honesty to me. The owner and staff want to make sure the pet your interested in will be a good fit in your home and your home is a good fit for the dog. Be prepared for the time it takes to make sure youre approved to be a good owner. They do check on that but almost everyone gets approved but it does take longer than I expected. I highly recommend this rescue to anyone looking for a forever fur baby!

2022-03-31My dog is a rescue from Buckeyes. I got him from the sanctuary about 3 years ago after receiving a really hard health diagnosis and I desired a companion - what I received was so much more than that. He was scheduled to be euthanized and Connie, the owner of Buckeyes rescued him. Chester is the most incredible, loving dog I could ask for. He has his flaws and I fully understand why he was at the shelter for 6 months, but she saw something in him worth saving and I will forever be grateful to Connie that she took a chance and gave him a life that other people felt he didnt deserve. Thats one of over a hundred stories that the rescued dogs she has rehomed would share if they could speak .I am involved as a unpaid volunteer at the facility and can personally say that there isnt a facility out that where the owner puts more of her personal money and efforts into the dogs. She truly loves the dogs. The outdoor grounds are huge and as she makes upgrades, the facility is unmatched in terms of the dogs getting exercise and having an area to enjoy outside of the concrete floor most facilities offer. She works hard to make it a safe, fun place for the pups to play.If youre considering rescuing a dog, boarding your dog, or maybe just volunteering/donating to help make the sanctuary even better, I encourage you to check out Buckeyes Missions and Sanctuary.

2022-03-30Buckeyes Missions and Sanctuary operated under a false and misleading pretense. They claim to be a non-profit and ask for donations both monetary and for goods. The owner not only takes most of these donations into the 2 for profit LLCs but also charges the non-profit rescue organization for services provided by the for profit businesses. This can be verified by looking up the non-profits public tax records. So even the donations that are taken by the non-profit, are then able to be funneled back into her pocket.Meanwhile the property is in shambles, putting all the animals at risk. Broken fences, falling trees, non-operational lawnmowers, and potholes, are frequent sights at Buckeyes Missions and Sanctuary. All while the owner just collects the money she claims to be for a charity.

2022-01-16If you want a fur baby or you want your fur baby to be sure to have a good home , this is the place ! I believe in them fully and I rescue animals as well as a behaviorist and trainer and they are the only ones I will even think to work with !! They are amazing 🤩 they make sure the fur babies are all cared for and they pay attention to the smallest details ! So much staff and professionals for these babies ! Please volunteer or donate ! Anything to help this rescue thrive !!! It’s the best one I have seen in all my years of interacting with shelters and rescues . words can’t describe the privilege it is to have them out here saving lives !!

2021-09-10Adopted two dogs from Buckeyes. They were very helpful in matching our family with the perfect pup. We also use the boarding facility a few times a year. Staff does a great job taking care of our Lucy with back issues that we do not stress while we are gone. Dogs always come home tired. They get lots of play time. Thank you Buckeyes!

2021-04-26Price keeps going up for grooms yet the qthality isnt. Im done with their groomer. Uneven cuts and the attitude is as if youre inconveniening him. This is the 1st cut but as time as went on the cuts have gotten shabby and the price changes EVERY single time. If the quality was there I could see it or if I had a hyper pup but neither match the price hikes every time. Im done with them.
