Great burger, the house made burger sauce was good. The house cut fries were cooked perfectly and the coleslaw was also spot on.

The restaurant says seat yourself, however there were no seats avaible but there were uncleared tables that stayed unclear for a good while. The hostess did not take any note of us. It took a lot longer than my group wanted it to. The food here is decent for the price. The burgers dont have lettuce, onions or tomatoes which leaves the burgers wanting more. Our waitress was fantastic. She is definitely holding up this review, she was great! The milk shakes are something to get here, they are good! The onion rings are very good too.
Went in for breakfast this morning got served coffee right away sat there for 20 minutes had two cups of coffee three other came in and sat at the counter by me that got asked right away what they was having and there orders where taken not one waitress asked me what I wanted it was like I wasn’t sitting there after 20 minutes I got up went to the cash register and to the waitress I was going to pay for my coffee since no one was going to serve me and they looked at each other and said I thought you took his order really bad but the one that are there friends got served right away bad way to run a business
I and my boys come here for breakfast all the time. I went to school with one of the servers, theyre all super friendly. Great, simple diner food, and pretty cheap as well. My son always leaves after making a friend with someone here.

Great little place! Very neat retro diner. We were there at noon and it was busy, but service was quick and our waitress was attentive. The portions were huge and the hand cut fries were AMAZING! Just like you get at fairs or festivals.
1st visit Food was good , hot. Not overpriced. Diner atmosphere, clean, waitress friendly & checked on us a couple times, drink refills without asking. Next time we went service was poor, waitress didnt know menu or care to explain what was on sandwich when asked. My sandwich turned out to be a combination of a big mac and a whopper all on one burger. Practically needed to eat it in a soup bowl. More concerned with side work than checking on customers. Menu on chalkboard hard to read from staff walking buy rubbing it off. Disappointed.
What a beautiful gem for Brookville. The menu is just right with lots to choose from. The prices are INCREDIBLE. The food is great and the staff is super friendly. We love coming here!
Pulled off of I70 to get some lunch and happened across the Brookville Diner. The food was good standard diner fare. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The prices are modest to say the least.

Food is always hot and amazing. Customer service is over the top and the owners always are an active part of the staff. The homemade ice cream and pies are an added bonus. Beyond fair prices.

Amazing experience. Family loved it. Food had wonderful flavors that made you want to keep eating more after you was stuffed. Fridays all you can eat fish and shrimp was awsome. Every thing was hand made including the ice cream. It had a fifties style cafe feel. The staff was extremely nice, and done a great job. Cant wait to go back!
I live in Alabama now. Brookville is my hometown. We visit my mom and family a couple times a year. We visited this GREAT restaurant while we were here this time. The food is AWESOME. Enjoyed the Steak sandwich and Reuben. The staff was friendly. Gave a small hometown feel. Its a couple miles off the interstate, but well worth the couple minutes to get to them. The restaurant was clean. Very nice appeal. We WILL BE BACK

Great place to eat! Amazing food. The ice cream is homemade and to die for! They have lots to choose from. The 50 decor is cute and they even play music from the time to keep with the feel. Great place to bring the family and have a laid back dinner.

What a great place! We arrived about 30 minutes before closing yet were greeted by smiles and great service. Onion rings were amazing and the homemade ice cream in all flavors. I swear the peanut butter had real fudge in it. Yum! The new owner Justin came over to make sure were happy. Just the kind of place we wanted to visit on vacation! Well be back.

A very nice local find while traveling through. The food was good and the staff were welcoming and friendly. We arrived just 25 minutes before they closed but the owner told us to take our time and enjoy. We even had their home-made ice cream which was a nice treat.

We really enjoy visiting Brookville Grille. Good selection; burgers, hot dogs, and sandwiches. Ive been getting the onion chips and the are great.Good home made icecream for shakes and sundaes.Very casual atmosphere and the staff is great with kids.Highly recommend.
I had the Ruben with Pretzel bun which was very tasty, but maybe a little more meat would be nice. But, the milkshake was the bomb, easily one of the best I have had in a long time. I was told the owner makes the ice cream and it was good, definitely worth stopping here just for the shake by itself. Service was friendly and efficient.

We went while at lunch from a day of meetings and were able to get a table immediately. We were greeted and had our drink order promptly taken - all unsweetened iced tea. Mine was subpar, I would choose something else next time. We ordered our sandwiches which came out after a normal amount of time. My sandwich was fantastic! I got a club and the thin fries and both were great. Both my coworkers got the swirly steak fries and they loved them! Will definitely return in the future.
I love how friendly the staff is. The owner took a moment to talk to me personally and ask how everything was. The food is delightful, my favorite dish? Definitely the Corned Beef Hash. I havent had the pleasure to try lunch or dinner, but ill be back!
Brought a friend for lunch awhile back. Got tenderloin platter. Great! She had to take some home. I,on the hand ate it all! It s Huge. Service was great. Sadly they re closed now so guess I ll have to wait for nex t week to get another one.🙂

I have never had a bad experience here. The owners are so wonderful and friendly. Service is very quick and the food is amazing. Its always cool to go in and see the vintage signs and calendars on the wall, amazing dinner experience!
I was really pleased, I stopped at this place to do a little computer work and get a root beer and I found they have pie and I got a piece of peanut butter pie which I havent had for a long time and it was towards the end of the day. The pie was extremely fresh and very good I will serve with a smile and a nice little restaurant and looking over there menu I found they had a number of dinner dishes which look very good and I am intending to try at whichever time Im available to get in there and do that. The place was clean and I asked waitress if she might had me taking up my ukulele and harmonica and playing a few things while someone would video me for a video and she said to talk to the manager oh, he was very busy and I didnt get a chance to ask him and none, the less, had to get on with my things so, no video, but a very nice place, clean, and friendly management and waitresses and what looks to be very good food Im likely to try it again for sure.

If you’re thinking of stopping, go anywhere else! Total waste of time and money tonight. The fried mushrooms were rancid tasting, our salads were nothing but some lettuce with a couple pieces of carrot, and I waited 20 minutes for my entree while my wife ate hers. They ran out of their special which was chili spaghetti, and instead of my waitress letting me know, let told me when my wife’s food came out and not mine. The chili was bland with zero taste. Will not be back.

Like an Oldie but Goodie? Very clean restaurant in Brookside Plaza in Brookville OH. Good service, good prices, friendly waitresses, played 50-60s music, much to pick from off menu, daily specials.

The outside looks plain, but inside is a nice clean family friendly diner. Simply put our food was both delicious and reasonably priced, we are looking for excuses to go back! There are the expected burgers, but there are some surprising and tasty options as well.We stopped here on a whim before a hike, and were very pleased! I had the bratwurst sandwich on pretzel bun with steak fries. Ive recently had my gallbladder removed, and had no issues from this meal, which is quite a big deal if you know what I mean. My wife had the pulled pork, and kettle chips, with huge chunks of pork and awesome smoked flavor.We shall definitely be return customers.

Had to give 1 star. The doors opened goinin and out. After sitting 10 minutes with daughter, her boyfriend and grand baby, not as much as a hello. Not busy. 2 servers. There was 2 guys at counter and 4 used tables. 2 tables came after us and got immediate service. Thanks a lot. Thursday walked in at 5:50 walked out at 6:03

2021-11-24We were spending the night in Brookville and happened on Google search for restaurants near me and this place was very close and had good reviews. We were not disappointed. It reminded us of an old American diner type atmosphere and menu. Their menu and prices were awesome. They make their own ice cream and pies. We had burgers, coconut cream and candy bar pie. Would absolutely say to pay this place a visit if you get the opportunity. The staff was also awesome and the owner cooked our burgers.

2022-02-18Brookville Grille is a wonderful family restaurant. They have fast, accommodating service and their servers are amazing very helpful and make sure you have everything you need. They have great steak. The garbage burger is truly perfect and their home made ice cream is to die for. This 50’s style diner really makes you feel like you went back and time and after al these years of service still continues to impress the community and visitors as well!

2021-03-23The fried pickles, fried mushrooms, sweet potato fries were excellent. The shake is one of the best strawberry shakes I have had. I wasnt really impressed with the fish. The man behind me said the meatloaf was fantastic. Friendly place to eat.

2021-10-13Brookville Grille is a super delicious mom and pop type of restaurant. Smaller dining area but well worth the wait, if it is packed out! Daily specials with good prices. Cooked to order foods. You wont get a frozen hamburger patty that was cooked hours ago! My absolute favorite is their meatloaf dinner! While I feel like my mothers is the best (who doesnt think mommas cooking is better than anything?!), they are my next favorite!!

2022-04-20We love this place! Local workers and patrons. Food is really good and very reasonably priced! Place is always very busy and yet they keep up. Never have to wait long. Lots of folks that go there regularly. That says ALOT! And we notice they do alot of take out business also. Always a couple daily specials besides a large menu. Has become one of regular go to spots!

2022-05-16Service was ok. Food was sub par portions was not anything for price. Asked if it was real mayo or miracle whip they said it was miracle whip I asked if they had real mayo was told yes and they still put miracle whip on my sandwich like I wouldnt know the difference. I hate miracle whip.

2020-06-19Love the classic retro look and ambiance of the place! Service was great, very friendly and accommodating crew. We dropped by for a small meal - had some jalapeno poppers, cod sandwich and a belgian waffle. They were good and next time we come well try their ice creams and shake. :)
