Fun vibe and atmosphere, especially for an outdoor restaurant. Our server was very friendly and on top of her game for our group of 14 which included children and a dog. Beers were great! The chicken and burgers were over-cooked and dry which is why I rated it a 4- wish I could have rated 4.5 because I recommend this place and would definitely come back!
Thank you Eric !!! Last experience here was not good but Hannah the manager made up for it 10 fold. Eric’s service was spectacular . The food this visit was spot on .. had the veggie appetizer and the cluck Norris chicken sandwich . I will be back with my pup soon . If you are planning a visit here .. please ask for Eric … he’s the best .
I was really looking forward to visiting Brewdog in New Albany. It was a beautiful day out and we reserved a seat on the patio. The atmosphere and interior/exterior was great! Clean and fun. The service and food was not good however. Our server seemed bothered to service us and began telling us how in 2 hours she would be moving to another section. She put pressure on us to hurry and order, eat and drink. She seemed frazzled and annoyed. The wings were disappointing- they were cold, clearly frozen and reheated. The non alcohol drinks for kids are not fountain and are not good with only a few choices. The waitress told us more than once that we would have to pay for the bottles. I wanted to love it more than I did.
Good burger, good salad, good beer, good service, good atmosphere. Came at 12 on Saturday, so was not peak busy. Wouldn’t say it blew me out of the water amazing for the higher food prices they have, but it was all around good. Would rate a 4 which is close to the overall average. Would say the rating is accurate for the place.
Thank you to Brew Dog for hosting a large party of Seniors. Service by Alysa was outstanding and she gave each one of us personal attention. The food was delicious and the manager came over to personally ensure we were enjoying the experience. Thank you again for a wonderful dining experience!
I would love to give this place five stars because I am a big fan of their beer. This is a nice place with a great atmosphere, good design, nice ambience, and I have enjoyed myself at the bar a few times, but on the particular night we were there the service was subpar. Who knows, maybe theyre having staffing troubles like everyone else but our server was not around very much, in fact by the time my wife got a hold of our server to order dessert she informed us that the kitchen was closed, which would not have been the case had she not been absent for a half hour. I always like it when theres a manager walking the floor checking to see how things are going in their restaurant, there was no manager presence in the restaurant this evening and the quality of our service reflected that.
We had Alysa as our server and she was FANTASTIC!! She handled our large group excellently and was attentive to every detail! Long after our group left and a few of us lingered, she continued checking to see if we needed anything even after she cashed us out. Most waitresses dont do that. I would definitely go back and ask for her. She was pleasant, professional, thorough and on point!
Extremely crowded on Saturday night. Luckily we had reservations and were seated quickly. We had two servers for a party of 6 and there was some confusion with orders and delays on beer service. Food was pretty good. Would definitely try again. Cosmic sours were good.
**EDIT**New Review: I changed my review from 1 star to 5 star; I wanted to thank Brooke for taking the time to reach out to me & offer for me to come back & experience Brew Dog again. She was incredibly professional & kind. I understand we are in a short-staffed world, so it meant a lot that she would take the time to reach out. We will definitely give Brew Dog another try. Thank you Brooke for all your helpOG Review: Waited 2 hours for burnt & mediocre food. If a burger costs $20 at a BAR I expect it to not come out burnt. Tacos completely burnt on the bottom & barely anything on it. Dry chicken. Took 3 bites & was done.Server was incredibly amazing & gave us a discount because of the wait - I give him 5 stars & this place is lucky to have him.But the rest of the experience sucked. Will never be back. $50 I’ll never get back. What a joke.
Went with a couple of friends and sat at the bar but the the experience fell short in far too many ways.Positive - the beer is decent, bartender was relatively attentive, and the actual restaurant is cool. The outdoor patio seating looks like it’d be nice when warmer.Negative - ordered the cauliflower wings and patriot burger. The cauliflower wings had a hair in them and the burger was way over cooked to the point of being almost inedible. The burger was also initially missing the side of fries and had to flag down the bartender to bring some out.Overall I would consider going back for beer only if suggested by others but probably won’t be back to eat. For the price of the burger ($17 at the time of writing this) there are plenty of other places nearby that the money would be better spent.
Big nice area, but good luck getting in. A lot of the areas are reserved for other parties, so if you want to go make a reservation. The staff is getting trained up, so I’m sure they’ll be at full capacity soon enough. I’m just not a big fan of their beer or food. Atmosphere is ok, but the back patio is really open and nice. You won’t be watching any sports games here either. Parking is also insufficient, so park across the street if you get into a bind.
Very expensive. Used to be reasonable prices for menu items, but they are way more expensive now - at least at this location. The burger and fries were almost $20. Their food is generally pretty good, but I wont be going back :( Our server was nice enough, but I think she had her hands full and service was definitely affected.
Unfortunately every experience I have had with this location has resulted in horrible/slow service. Today we came in, slow crowd, we were seated quickly, and after 15 minutes we still were not greated or asked for our drink orders. There were waitresses and waiters/bartenders that walked around us and observed that we were sitting there and ready to order but absolutely nothing. This has been our experience before so today we just left and went to mellow mushroom and Hudson 29!
My husband and I had dinner last night. I must say I was very pleasantly surprised as many restaurants are so subpar now, I have lost faith in the industry overall especially since Covid. The wings were fabulous! Great size and very tasty. My husband had the first burger listed, I believe the prairie? He said it was perfectly cooked although it could have been larger for the price of $17-$18. The beer was excellent. We had the one with the 3 flavor combination. Sweet potato fries were outstanding! The only item I wouldn’t not recommend or order again is the brisket taco. I’m not sure who decided $5 for a taco was a good deal, but my taco was flavorless, and I would not order it again. One item I will be addressing today is the location of the handicapped parking spaces. Shame on whomever approved that location at this facility. I have a 100% VA disabled spouse who is on crutches and has an extraordinarily challenging time walking. Currently, there isn’t a ramp and it’s entirely too much of a distance to the front door. There are several spaces right across from the front door with an even surface. Why didn’t the owners have the spaces there? It’s such basic logic! And the current spaces are right in front of what will be an extremely busy space in the warmer weather, the patio area with a good amount of seating. Overall, it was better than I excepted based on current experience considering several different comparable places. Change the handicap parking, have tables for 4 that are handicap accessible as we sat at a table for 10 that we waited 45 minutes for, and improve the tacos or remove them from the menu, and it will be fantastic.
I came and tried to visit BrewDog New Albany on Saturday night with my 8 month pregnant wife. Despite 7 (we counted) open tables on the main patio your host & hostess proceeded to take us all the way across the bar and then allllll the way back across the front of the building to the last 8 top table on the dog patio. When I went back and asked if we could sit on the main patio, I was told it was completely full and there were no tables for us (even though we saw 7 empty on the way in @7:05 PM on a Friday). Do you think they sat us there because my wife is pregnant? Because it felt like they sat us there because my wife is pregnant. We left and wont be returning and thats a shame because weve always been huge fans of BrewDog. Do better.
Was excited to make it out to the New Albany location but left thoroughly disappointed. Went to bar while we waited to be seated only to have several people ignore our existing. Ended up not even getting a beer while we waited. Server was okay. Make sure to order another beer while current beer is full. Then we play a couple games of shuffle board (still can’t get a beer at the bar) and we realize they close at 10 on a Saturday. Had much higher expectations. Looked up hours and they close at 9 through the week. That’s weak for a place with Brew in their name and is suppose to be about beer.
Service disappointing. Ordered a draft and keg was out. Server gave me a canned beer (4oz less than a draft) but charged me the same as the draft. The annoying part... she made it sound like she was doing me a favor. It wasnt so much about the 4oz, but rather her flawed logic. She also sold me a side upgrade (cauliflower wings) for $2... but then came back and said the upgrade was $5. I said fine. I get the bill and now were up to $5.99.Runner brings my food, sets it down, server sees this and immediately asks how is everything. I dont know. You just saw the runner set the plate down a nanosecond ago.You get the picture...
I like the bar, and I love the beers. My first time having dinner here was a mixed bag. Service was quite slow, at one point had to go to the bar and get some drinks because they had been empty for a while. Could have just been a tough night, will be back for another try!
I hate to do this because I absolutely love Brewdogs beer and Canal Winchester location. Not sure whats going on with this New Albany crew but definitely needs attention. Everything looks awesome. Place is really cool. It feels cozy and warm. I really liked being in there. Service was horrible. I understand staffing is an issue for alot of places during these times. This 100% wasnt the issue on this night. 2 people sitting at bar and tables were maybe half full. Plenty of staff hanging out and mingling with each other. 20 minutes until anyone even came to our table. 30 minutes until 1st ordered drink hit the table. They forget my wifes drink. 2nd beer never showed up. Buns on the burgers were terrible. Entire bun crumbled into pieces on the first bite. Both burgers were this way. The normally delicious Cauliflower wings were very hard. Im sorry but just not a great experience with the New Albany Brewdogs.
I’m disappointed in this place. They advise DOGbrew…. It’s not dog friendly at all… the patio is not secure. Puppies, out of excitement, can easily run out into the street OR run up to outside guests. They just opened their patio, so they didn’t have any servers out there to serve you… (soooo who is suppose to watch your puppy while you go in, wait, and place an order)?!?! AND there were NO trash cans, water for the dogs, or hand sanitizer… And the wings were not good at all. Over cooked and under seasoned. On a positive note, the inside hosts were nice
We had the worst experience there tonight on my sons birthday, I understand every place is short staffed right now but thats not an excuse for extremely poor service. Everything was bad from arriving and having reservations for 10 to be seated at a table without enough chairs and the server to just say I dont think we have anymore for this table and walks away to leave 1 person in our party standing, to not just poor service but more like no service. Ordered a bottle of wine and 30 minutes later after asking twice about where it was it arrives with 2 out of 3 glasses then to have the 3rd glass finally dropped off to the table DIRTY with someones full lipstick still on it!! And still our server was too busy visiting with others to take our order. 45 minutes later and still horrible service, no dinner order even taken. Needless to say we didnt stay or drink our drinks at this point due to being extremely disappointed and frustrated. We paid for our 2 appetizers, undrank wine and beers-. We left, went over to Hudson 29 and received amazing service!!
Chicken sandwiches were more breading and bun than chicken. They were also so over cooked and dry it felt like chewing on jerky. Burgers were put together with all the toppings on one side and already falling apart by the time they got to the table. Disappointed for the price you pay, I would expect quality.
This was my first time at Brewdog in New Albany and was excited to go here after going to the one downtown. After receiving our food, I noticed that my Buffalo Chicken sandwich was relatively raw in the center and extemely chewy. Upon notifying the waiter, they did go and make me a fresh sandwich. The rest of my party ate and were finished well before my meal was brought back to me, about 20 minutes later. Instead of taking the 20 dollar sandwich off the bill, they decided that taking one of our drinks off the bill was comparable. I was disappointed with the meal and the service. I was happy to finally try this Brewdog so close to home but doubt I will ever go back.
Went there for dinner tonight and there was a very long hair in my burger. I informed the waiter, who took it back and told me they were making another one. No problem. But, as I waited 20 minutes for a replacement and my husband and I attempted to console our crying 8 month old, I was given a beer and two boozy popsicles and received a bill for the full amount, less a lousy 10% discount, instead of receiving a complimentary meal due to the inconvenience. I can assure you, Brewdog, I would have much preferred the latter. Unfortunately, I’m not sure I’ll be back.
Food was delicious and the selection of beer is expansive and on point. I enjoyed the Neapolitan Milk Stout (I think from Saugatuck Brewing- this was perfect pre-dinner and during dinner) and Midnight Toffee Stout (Untitled Art- this is sweet and you can definitely smell and taste the toffee and was perfect after dinner). I would get both beers again, though my preference was the Neapolitan.
Service is just awful and management doesnt care. When they first opened it was understandable but it has gotten no better. Slow. Incorrect orders. Poor servers dont know what to do. The food you get is good and when you eventually get your drinks they are good. But make sure you come with infinite patience.
First time BrewDog-er’s and LAST TIME!!! Service staff needs more training. Took 15 minutes to get a soda and water for two ppl. Clearly was not that busy. When placing my taco order I asked our server if it was per taco, her reply was you can get up to 3 tacos. Took forever to get my cold tacos and my hubby’s salad. Tacos were not how I ordered them! I finally asked to see the manager, took her 15 minutes to come to our table. Isn’t it MGR 101 when you know you have a guest with an issue you take care of the issue ASAP. When she finally came to our table, she said she would have the tacos remade “to go” and take them off our bill. Our bill came with 3 tacos on for $18 and never got a to go order.BREWDOG…… GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER! Pay to have MGR’s with experience and train your ppl!!!Gave it one star because the sweet potato fries were good.
I was so excited when I first heard BrewDog was coming to New Albany; however, that excitement was short-lived. 75% of the time, my order was messed up. The price point on many items are $2-$3 higher than BrewDog branch in Franklinton. Additionally, the cauliflower wings portion reduced drastically couple months after opening. Though Im 2 mins from this location, I now visit the Franklinton branch. They also have a rooftop bar which is very cool. Dont get me wrong, I like the people at the new Albany branch. Just not sure why the price is higher and the portions are smaller compared to their other branches.
BrewDog has redefined dining in New Albany. It is a relaxing spot for adults in the middle of all the activities of the school. You can always count on something new with the unique beer selection while catching up with friends and family. The hamburgers are fantastic. They have a seseme bun, the beef has a charred crust that is paired with all the fixings you could want.
I was really excited about this place and both times we’ve been have been extremely disappointing. The management is beyond ridiculous. We came in around 6ish tonight and were rudely greeted by what we thought was a host telling us “The kitchen is 2 and a half hours behind, you can try to find a table but servers won’t come to you and you can try to get a drink at the bar but they’re really backed up.” We proceeded to walk in and find a seat on the patio (I would say the restaurant was about 60% full so we were confused why he made it seem like we wouldn’t find a table). We ordered drinks and food from the bar and the bartender told us food should be about 15 minutes. We kind of laughed because everything was happening a lot easier than the host made it seem like it would.About an hour later, the family that ordered right before us got there food so we thought we’d be next but we waited an additional 35 minutes before I checked on our order. The bartender had forgotten to put it in and when we finally got our food 15 minutes later it came out wrong and one plate at a time. The food runner was amazing and we appreciated her so much and she apologized profusely when it was not her fault at all… we asked for boxes and she told us a manager would be comping our meal but I had to find him to ask. The best part of the whole night…. 4 managers were standing right outside the patio having a smoke break while they rest of their staff worked and bussed tables. I had to awkwardly ask the manager to stop smoking right next to us so I could get our bill. He was also the SAME GUY who greeted us at the beginning of the night by essentially telling us not to come into the restaurant. It was beyond frustrating and the only one truly working hard was the girl running everyone’s food to the tables and apologizing for things that were not her fault while management watched and smoked. It was awful to witness and super disappointing. I saw other reviews about the management here so I wanted to add mine so hopefully something can be fixed as they haven’t even been open 8 months I think?
This location is a pleasant location. Very spacious - can host a variety of party sizes and a great staff to make it all better. The chicken sandwiches and wings are a hit. Always our groups go to. Nice and crispy and any sauce is a win. Honestly you can’t lose choosing any option on the menu!
Wide open and very spacious in the expansive and lively restaurant/ brewery atmosphere. Great beer and wine opens but a limited bar outside of that. Food was very good, our table had a variety of apps and sandwiches. Staff are great and super friendly though they are busy so I suggest placing your order as soon as some offers to take it!
Me an my girls went out to this establishment not knowing what to expect, and my god were we blown away ! First, what a lovely atmosphere to be in! The staff were so friendly an quick to accommodate our every needs. The food, spectacular. I had the jackfruit tacos and asparagus and green beans, so good! We’ve lived in New Albany for quite some time, and let me tell you, this is exactly what we needed! Thank you brew dog for coming to our little town! Fantastic beer and cider as well!
We visited Brew Dog for the first time this Saturday evening after the OSU-Maryland game. The front staff and our server were quite pleasant. We were appropriately informed of a 45-60 minute wait on the kitchen, after being seated promptly. We received beverages with 15 minutes. We ordered burgers, and added a warm pretzel, with the suggestion that it might come out to us more quickly. At about one hour and fifteen minutes we asked our waiter to check on our order. We did not see him again. At one hour and thirty minutes, we left $10 on the table for the two bottled ice tea drinks and left. So I really cant comment on the food! I understand the current staffing issues, as we are presently dealing with this same issue at my medical office. We might return sometime in the future to try the food.
We gave BrewDog a try for dinner last Saturday evening. I had made a reservation 4 weeks in advance as all of the prior dates were booked. We were seated at a back table by the kitchen. After a long wait, a very kind server came by and stated that our server was “missing, as in walked out” and that he’d be taking care of us. He was lovely, but that was incredibly odd.The overall experience ended up being a huge disappointment as the place was infested with fruit flies. We spent the entire meal trying to swat gnats away from our food (note that this was inside the restaurant). It was enough to make you lose your appetite. So, needless to say, with average overpriced food (two burgers, two appetizers, and a g&t were more than $100), and the need to battle insects while trying to eat, we were completely unimpressed. It’s not what one would expect from an establishment with a one month wait for a reservation.
Service was excellent! No doubt about that. Food was also EXCELLENT! the only recommendation I have is hopefully they will get a much larger selection of take home beers. Other than that, our first experience at this BrewDog was FANTASTIC and we will certainly be back!
Amazing ambience and perfect location! We had the lamb burger, avocado salad, and smore dessert. Everything was so delicious! The restaurant and bar are perfect for a bite with the family or going for a drink. Staffing is a bit short so we had to wait but everyone was extremely welcoming and friendly. Cant wait to go back!
Visited here on Thursday night with a group of girlfriends. Didn’t think we would get a table but the manager that night found an awesome table for us. I think his name was chad? Whatever his name was he rocks! Service was quick, drinks were great, the loaded fries were bomb. Will definitely be back soon!
We met friends here for dinner last night and we were all disappointed and agree we will never go back. Very limited and overpriced menu. Four choices are burgers, tacos, and “wings”. 4 beers, one appetizer and ten wings= $65. Seriously? The so-called world famous chicken wings were actually fried chicken wings and the batter was so thick we had to peel it off to find the chicken. The beers were “ok”, but not great. Our waiter was really good. Nice venue. No TVs anywhere. No need to go back. We live in New Albany and we’re excited to have a brewery here….. disappointed.
When I read everyone else’s reviews I’m confused to why everyone is so mad about reservations . They are a brand new company , it makes perfect sense .I had a great time when I went Friday ! I made my reservation a week in advance and got in just fine. The food was fantastic . I spoke to a few servers that sat down an hung out with me and my group, they all were super friendly, my dog loved all the extra attention and the doggie treats servers were feeding her .I will most definitely be back again . I’m sure once people get off I unemployment that they will be able to open full capacity cause then they will have more people to hire . Until then every business is struggling having a full staff .
For a Brewery they have an awful selection of beers. Its October and not a single German/Octoberfest choice. Also extremely expensive, a burger and 1 drink should not cost $46 without a tip. The service was so poor I wonder if I was charged incorrectly. The food runners have no idea what they are doing. Once you get your food it will be good, very good!
Party of three arrived with reservations for 12:30 pm last Sunday. We were promptly seated. We had loaded fries, roasted brussel sprouts and street tacos which were all very delicious. Waitress was very nice and the food arrived in a timely manner. The restaurant appeared to be at 25% capacity so I was confused why people were being turned away. When I asked the waitress she advised the empty tables were reserved. However, they remained empty the entire time we were there. Im thinking the restaurant is just trying to promote social distancing which, if so, should have been communicated on the reservations site. Most people would understand and respect this effort. The reservations site by the way was horrible - it does not show open slots for dine-in. It tells you the time slot is not available only AFTER you attempt to reserve but the he Drink-only option does. This makes the reservation process very frustrating.
I had an overall pretty good experience. The reviews are pretty bad here but living in new Albany I was really happy to see this location open and Really excited for them and hoping the negative reviews help them in a positive way!I went on a Friday at 2pm so my experience was a lot different than during a busy time. There was no wait, a ton of tables open and i sat at the bar.The flight of beer was alright, but wasn’t labeled and bartender wasn’t super helpful regarding it. however she was really nice whenever she did come around. I definitely won’t be trying the sour beers again but they have a huge menu of beer so I’m sure there’s a lot of great ones. The food was really good, took awhile to get a side of ranch and despite being a pretty empty place at the time it seemed like I was the least of their priority since I was just a party of two which is the reason for a 4 star.I’m sure as time goes on and staff gets more trained It will be 5 stars every time!
My party was seated by a server at a patio table. After ordering both food and drinks we were told that our table was reserved and we’d have to move to a smaller table (which was fine, as we were a small party). After sitting at the smaller table and getting our food, we were told that the second table was also reserved, with no offer to move to us to another table. We took our food to go at this point, and weren’t given a part of the meal we had ordered when we got to-go boxes.RE: The response from the owner belowI think the implication is that I was either told something wrong by the hostess, or misunderstood something she said. Neither was the case. As I walked up to the patio to survey who I needed to talk to to be seated, a server came by and told me to sit down. I think the server was just trying to err on the side of being accommodating, which seems reasonable if you have a job in the service industry. Not thinking I should assume I knew more about the byzantine seating system than the server working at the restaurant, I accepted their invitation and sat at one of the many open patio tables.I should stress here that I think the staff here was probably undertrained and working within a system that was set up to fail. Im sure they have suffered more than any individual customer as they try to cover for the shortcomings of the opening of the restaurant. I dont blame any of our servers, as they were all very nice and apologetic. This seemed to be purely the outcome of a restaurant opening before it was ready and doing a disservice to both their customers and staff.
Brew Dog fan here, and the new location did not disappoint. Reserved a table online a few days in advance to be safe. It was raining, so wasnt able to sit outside, but the patio looks awesome (will check it out another time). Food, beer and service were great, as usual.
Very disappointed in the service. It was 45 minutes from being seated to recieving our first drink. The server told us how horrible it was in there. I wanted a bun for my burger that wasnt slathered in sesame seeds and was told they didnt have anything else. We saw plain buns going out of the kitchen later. I know everyone is short of help but you need to teach the menu and appropriate customer service to the help you have. Its worth while to give your business to small, local owned breweries instead.
The bugs (gnats, mosquitos and flies) were very annoying. They pestered us and tried tasting our beers all night long. We sat at the bar and had 2 different servers. The one wasn’t very attentive at all. The second one was super nice and very attentive. The beer menu is on a marquee sign that has the old school individual letters. The problem is that they had an employee fixing the board half the time we were there which made it extremely difficult to read the menu. An electric version or even fixing it during the non-busy hours would have been better. The food was good.
So happy to finally have a brewery in New Albany! The food, drinks, and staff were great. But the fire pits need to go…it wasn’t even that windy while my family was there, yet we had ashes landing in our food, and our clothes and hair smelled terribly (the smoke filled up the inside of the restaurant as well).
I went today with my husband. The first thing they asked us was: do you have a reservation which we said no and the hostess said okay I can only offer bar seats right now and we were fine with that. Most of the restaurant kept empty the 1 1/2 that we spent there. So it was interesting to see that only bar seats were available. Next, we order our food which as clearly overcooked and took forever to get to us. A couple that was near us also said that their food was dry and it was not good. I just gave this place two stars because of the drinks as it took also forever to get our check. Clearly $60 for two burgers and some drinks plus the forever wait for our food, overcooked food, and again the forever wait for our check are not a great combination. I don’t think we will come back…….
Hardly any same day reservations and just walking in is a nightmare. Hardly any parking. After finally getting a reservation, we still didnt receive food, including our appetizer, for 2-hours. I am fine with a slow kitchen if you tell me ahead of time, but a slow waitstaff too? We saw our waiter 3 times over 2.5 hours, and one of the waitresses stole our water vase to give to another table, saying she would bring one back but never did. Food was sub-par and the wait staff was just constantly fight with each other out in public. I wouldnt recommend going
Solid choices for both veggies, vegan, and gluten abstainers. The honey adobo cauliflower wings are always a treat!Kind, friendly staff. I hope that the accountability processes BrewDog has been implementing means their staff feels protected and cared for. (Disclosure: I am in investor in BrewDog)
Came all the way from Johnstown to hear what the all ruckus was about from my neighbors. Went on a Tuesday afternoon and got in just fine. I believed I ordered what was a peach hazy Jane, a little different from my usual Budweiser but hey pretty tasty, I only had 2 an had quite a buzz. Burger was cooked just right and I loved whatever oil they cooked their fries in. Overall, very satisfied with the experience. Will be coming back.
We tried to go after dinner on Saturday, for a drink but they wouldnt let us sit outside, in spite of the many empty tables. We tried to explain we didnt want to eat, just get a beer and sit outside to drink it. Nope, they wouldnt let us.Our only option would have been to sit inside, in a crowded place and we didnt feel comfortable.Went to the other place in town, got seated in a heartbeat on their patio.Cheers to healthy New Albany!
How does this place expand in Central Ohio when they treat the customer so poorly?Let us count the ways:Website doesnt depict items in USD. It also showed this location as closed, but it wasnt. There isnt an online ordering system, but the Website doesnt indicate that. The pdf of the menu flummoxed the person I spoke with to take the order. The ambient noise during the call was incredibly loud, however there is technology to mitigate that. Invest in this.Rolling up to the place and lo and behold no parking, however no signs on where overflow parking might be located. I managed.I spoke with someone from management? on my concerns let alone a myriad of complaints online about this new opening once I got inside, but having this person say thanks for being so comfortable to open up and point out the stupidity is not the solution.Overall, the food was decent, however the stupidity of everything else makes us hesitate. We love the fact that they are dog friendly, however, the rest is just so stupid. In our opinion we hope this place dies due to customer service, but Ohioans love their beer.
Told us a two hour wait and it was 3+ hrs and still never got sat. Hostess continued to lie to us. I get being short staffed but to not treat you fair is not right. Asked if we could sit at a bar table told us it was taken, but heard him tell the people behind us it was open. Christopher has a a careless attitude about customers, glad he’s the manager. Great food terrible service.
I’m so happy this location finally opened !My friends and I had so much fun , I was worried about not liking there beers cause the funky names but they actually were so good ! I had the tropical slim cider . Finally a place that has a lot of vegetarian options. We are all coming back ! A HUGE plus I could bring my dog!
Their kitchen was very behind. The server looked exhausted and even told us she was. They brought us the wrong appetizer (they let us keep it and brought the correct one). I got a chicken sandwich - the chicken was still raw and rubbery. I’ve been to two other brew dog locations and never had any issues.Update- I emailed Brooke and never heard a response back.
This experience is not to the Brewdog standard I’m used to. Very disappointed- this location better step up its game or you’ll be out of business in no time. Not a great look for your ‘grand opening’ that apparently no one is allowed to participate in…. No same day reservations, place at 25% capacity, rude and I mean rude ‘greeting’ from the guy at the host stand. Said they were way under staffed (poor planning and even worse management), and I’m understanding, but you don’t have to be rude to strangers. After we convinced them to let us get a drink with the promise not to eat or sit at a table, we watched person after person get turned away. Good luck with this location, cause you need it.
It should be called brewReservation. You will be asked rudely if you have a reservation. You will be judged when you don’t. Even if you just want a drink you will be turned away. I made a reservation for 3 weeks out maybe then I can get a beer.Update: finally made a reservation the day before. They called me 30 minutes prior and cancelled!! Due to “staff shortages.” This place really needs to get their act together. None of your employees showed up for work… yikes.
Nice chill place to go and have a couple beers with friends. They dont have any tvs so its not a place to watch sports. They also dont have all of the beers that are made by brewdog which was frustrating for one of the girls in my group that wanted the tangerine beer they make and had to find an alternative.
To start… please don’t go here. They are not ready for customers. Brandon tried but… failed. He says he works in double time but we waited for food forever and half our meal didn’t come until the other half was finished. If you like ketchup with your fries bring some ketchup packets with you because they are not equipped with such condiments. We brought our parents here from out of town and now we refer to this place as “$hit Dog”
I came here because I’d heard good things, but the whole experience felt mediocre. The food was overpriced for what it was, and the service was slow. They’re understaffed and they only seat half the restaurant. I just can’t justify the price for the experience right now; maybe if they expand the menu or change the prices I’d adjust my view. Overall just average.
I have been 3 times since opening and here’s how the conversation with the same hostess…“So technically we only take reservations but I am going to go ahead and seat you, just know your food won’t come quickly” (we were totally ok with this! But shouldn’t you advertise reservation only?)“Did you make a reservation?” “No we were just hoping to grab a drink and weren’t planning on eating” “ohhhhhhh well we’re at capacity” - mind you they were only 25% full.“Hi do you have room for 2?” “Not unless you have a reservation, we are fully at capacity” -again, only 25% full. She cited ticket times but to be honest, we absolutely would’ve sat and waited an hour for food. That’s the point of Brewdog, to hang out, drink, play games, etc. no one goes here to grab a fast bite.If they ever can seat past 25% capacity maybe we will be back, but when over half the tables are open and you aren’t seating patrons, it screams poor management.
We walked over here from our house on a Saturday at 3pm and we were told we couldn’t order drinks from the bar and play at their shuffleboard tables since we didn’t have a reservation. They were at most 25% full when we stopped by. For placing a giant sign up stating their “grand” opening they don’t really seem to want customers to come in.

2022-05-28Great place to meet up with friends plus... Its dog friendly. They seriously love dogs and the fur children love the staff. The food was delicious and if you enjoy a ice cold beer. They have different kinds on tap, I enjoyed the dead & berried berry hard cider plus its gluten free. The general manager Brooke Walton, was extremely helpful and definitely a sweet lady. The staff was really helpful and made sure we had everything we needed with our meals.I highly recommend this location plus they are getting ready to open more locations in the near future. So make sure you check them out and tell your friends/ family.Fur child/children approved 🐾🐾❤️

2022-01-23This is a cool restaurant...The environment is really neat. I love the design of the interior. The food was good but not great. We had the big pretzel which could have used a bigger helping of beer cheese. I had a burger which was good. Wifie had the buffalo chicken burger which she enjoyed. It is worth stopped in and having a beer and dinner.

2022-05-15Had a great time! Walked in at 5:40 on a Saturday night and got seated for our group of 9 on the patio right away. We ordered some appetizers and drinks; everything came our quickly. I enjoyed a cider and a seltzer on tap (both were delicious). I ordered the Cheeseburger Hoppy Meal with fries. Everything looked so good, but I went with a classic for my first visit. Our server was attentive even though she was busy. Will definitely return!

2022-01-22Horrible horrible experience as I took family in from out of town to enjoy lunch. Bartender accused a family member of being disgruntled when we ask why our drinks were taking over 40 minutes to get. Manager came over and was very nasty and mean to our entire table and showed no remorse for the experience. Manager went also on to explain why the chicken breast was bright brown and could not chew it. Disgusting don’t waste your time or money. Picture of sandwich was supposed to be a salami sandwich and we were told they’re premade in the morning the slice of salami was that of a $.50 piece.

2021-09-06I always enjoy BrewDog bars, and their new location in New Albany is no exception. It is another very cool spot with great spaces to hang out both inside and outside. My wife had a burger and I had the wings - both were very good. And of course the beer selection is excellent.

2022-04-07Best wings I’ve had in Columbus by far. The sauce selection is extremely limited (only 3 flavors), but the flavors were still good and the wings themselves were high quality. My wife got the chicken taco I think and said it was phenomenal. Our friend had cauliflower wings and I tried one and it was also probably the best cauliflower wing I’ve had in Columbus.Very very pricey for essentially bar food (bill was 65 for 2), and I don’t know if the all you can eat wings is really a steal unless you plan to eat like 20+ wings. But really good food and beer selection and I am excited to try their other menu items.

2022-03-27Came in on mid afternoon on a Sunday. Our server, Cody, did a great job. We were only really here for drinks but ordered truffle fries. Portion was huge (plenty for two to share) and at $10, I thought was a fair deal. Beers are solid, as always. Particularly enjoyed the peach Hazy Jane (please make permanent?).Overall space is fantastic and looks like itll be amazing when it warms up. Love the bar games and stuff. Couches and casual seating makes for a welcoming space.Love that they are carbon negative. Lead the way!Im sure this place has hits and misses on days but we had a good time.

2022-07-03The open atmosphere here was amazing! The BrewDog beers were amazing! However, the feed was adequate and overpriced. If Im going to pay 20 dollars for a burger, it feels like it should probably turn out better than something I cooked myself at home. My wife and I both had fried chicken sandwiches, and both had tough, dried out portions of meat in it. The giant soft pretzel we had as an appetizer was good, but we both came away from the experience feeling like I could have made better food at home.

2022-01-23I love the other locations. I understand there have been staffing issues during the pandemic. Honestly, that hasn’t been the issue at this location any of the times we have gone. The first time there was an hour wait, which was fine, we left and came back. We never got a text/call after leaving our number. The host told us it would be quicker to sit at the bar. He seemed bothered that we interrupted his social time. We were ignored for about 15 minutes after being seated. When the bartender finally came over she said she thought someone had already taken care of us even though there were sitting there with no drinks or anything. She offered to get us an app on them so we got fries, they came out cold. The second time they came out over fried but barely warm. After that the food was actually done right. We emailed to let them know about our experience and never heard anything back.Tonight, the same host from the last time told us he “didn’t think he could seat us.” There was a private party, and we didn’t have a reservation. That’s perfectly fine. I don’t expect to be seated when they are booked full. He just seemed reluctant to see if there was a wait or anything.
