Bravo Italian Kitchen in other cities:
Not a great experience.Happy hour burger was okay, other food had to be sent back as it was very over cooked. Also, $8.50 for a well Rum and Coke… The poor bartender was managing all of the bar tables and making drinks for the whole restaurant. If a restaurant is going to have a bar based happy hour please have more than one bartender/server. That poor guy was just trying to keep his head above water…
Home made pizzas and Flatbread. The decor makes it feel like your fancy. General manager Mariana is understanding and caring. Head Chef Noe makes dishes to perfection. Sometimes their short staffed, but lets be honest, what restaurant isnt nowadays? Great restaurant all the way around!
Went to Bravos on Tuesday. Pretty much empty restaurant. Husband paid extra for a salad with his meal -- the salad was slimey and brown...had to send it back. When our meal came, my lasagna was MUSHY -- mashed potatoes have a stiffer consistency! GROSS. Asked for the manager, and the server was confused. a young (about 17 years old) cook from the back HESITANTLY came out to the table -- completely unprofessional -- giggling when I described the consistency of my meal. Horrible management response. Was not taken seriously. My lasagna was bland, mushy, and had the consistency of canned cat food. If youre going to continue to charge high end prices, your quality should match that price. Complete disappointment! Now I can understand why they were closed all of 2021....**I reached out to the contact on the website, and no one has called or emailed me back. Such a CANNED RESPONSE from management -- you guys just continue to fail on epic proportions
Overall there are much better Italian restaurants in Toledo. Honestly I think nearly all of them are better, including Olive Garden. Food wise I would give it a 1 star the servers were good and the building itself is nice. Bravo seriously needs to revisit their menu and recipes as the food is bland and the pairings like the Chicken Parm with garlic butter sauce is simply off putting.
Came in last night for dinner and had the phenomenal luck of being seated in Robert’s section. Throughout our dinner he was a joy - extremely well timed and one of the few servers who’ve made a meal phenomenal enough to tell people about it.We were seated, ordered drinks and appetizers, served drinks and appetizers, and ordered dinner in about 15 minutes, and dinner was served roughly 10-15 minutes after we had ordered. The drinks, the tomato caprese, the diavolo, and the woozy did not disappoint. We never had to ask for a thing and any delays in food (which would not have been our servers fault anyway) were addressed by Robert before we had even thought about them. He was extremely attentive and anticipated all of our needs, did not over visit our table or make us feel rushed to eat and run. After dinner Robert brought a pair of forks and a pair of spoons with the brûlée and the cheesecake we ordered so we could share dessert if we were so inclined, and also brought cream at the same time he brought coffee (this should be a standard everywhere). The cherry on top of dinner though was definitely the caramel mascarpone cheesecake. That stuff should be illegal.
If I could give a 0 I would we first came in at 720 pm at 728 a young guy asked if our drink order has been taken and we told him that we was just about to leave. He apologized and we placed our order right then. At 745 our drinks and bread came out. The wedding soup was good and so was the salad. Our drinks were empty for 10 minutes we had to stop the server to ask for refills. At 828 our food still has not came out we ask him to check he came back and said it shouldnt be much long 30 minutes later we had our food. It was so dry I didnt even eat it I shouldve just left when we were going to . We will never come back
Arrived on a Sunday. Only 4 other patrons in the restaurant. Hostess was confused where to seat us. Worried about whos section was next , she asked 2 other associates before we finally got to sit down. So , we sat there for 10-15 minutes with our menus . Associates walked by and no one said a word , so we left. We understand everyone needs help hiring right now but the staff was there , they just did not provide the service.
Horrible, will never waste time on this place again. Ordered via door dash because we are sick, received chicken Marsala with just dry chicken no actual sauce to make it Marsala when I called the restaurant to tell them the manager was rude and asked what I’d like them to do about it? and to take it up with DoorDash. Was NOT door dashes screw up. But we did that and door dash refunded us the meal so we went to order it again so I could eat what I actually ordered, AGAIN, they sent the dry chicken with no marsala. Waste of our night and I’m still sitting here hungry. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS RESTAURANT.
We came here on a Friday morning to celebrate the memorial of my aunt. We arrived with 35 people at 10:50am, 10 minutes before they opened. We had the pleasure of Derek and Jessica as our servers, and they absolutely killed it. Super attentive and always made sure we had exactly what we needed. We were all sat, drinks were served, and we all got to enjoy a lobster Bisque soup, or caesar salad. Entrees were next and we had the choices between spaghetti, lasagna, or chicken marsala. I choose the spaghetti and meatballs, my husband got lasagna. The meal, bread, and drinks were absolutely lovely. Always had refills, food was delightful, and the tiramisu was just amazing. Thanks Bravo!!!!! We appreciate all your hard work and efforts today!!!! 🥰❤
Stopped at the gas station down the street for water after leaving, because I was never able to ask for more. Spent 2 and a half hours at this restaurant and saw our waitress 3 times. The restaurant was maybe 25% full, with 3 or 4 servers. Poor choice on my part of the location to eat, but definitely poor service.Their register system had went down while I waited an extra 20 mins for my check, understandable. No ones fault. But when the person came to give me my card and check back(not my waitress), they didnt even give me a pen. I was tired of waiting, went to the front check-in desk for a pen, signed it and left it there for them on the desk.
1st time eating there on Mothers Day for lunch... The server that we had never gave us any attention we had to ask for refills Took 15 minutes to get our drinks when we 1st got there She was not out going nor was she friendly.. She acted as if it was a chore for her to wait on us.. Food was great well be back hope to get a better server next time
Manager mariana was terrible. Lost our reservation as well as the party in front us and then refused to speak to us when asked for the manager. The host was afraid to give us her name stating she would get him in trouble. Terrible terrible terrible experience. Thanks for ruining our graduation dinner Mariana
Bravo has a clean, friendly atmosphere and greeting. Our waitress (Madison) was a delight and courteous. The food was delicious, hot and served in a timely manner. You are served bread with a spiced olive oil dip. We enjoyed an appetizer of artichoke & spinach dip, with pizza crust bread. The entrees that were very tasty and a large portion consisted of, chicken parmigiana & chicken woozie. The portions were large enough for some take home. We also got desert to go of caramel mascarpone cheesecake. Delicious!! A place I will return to and recommend.
The ambiance is pleasant, the food was GREAT, the prices reasonable. However, like all other places, theyre short staffed and there was quite a wait for everything...to be seated, to get your appetizers, your food, and even to get your check. So if youre in no rush, waiting shouldnt be a problem, the food is worth the wait after all. I recommend the shrimp & lobster fettuccine!!
John was a very awesome sous chef, and our server was absolutely wonderful! We ordered chicken Marsala and it was taking about 20 plus minutes for it to come out . He came out and apologized to us because they out of wine sauce . He made everything right ! Amazing service and amazing food ! Recommend !
This is my second time at Bravo, the first time I wasnt very impressed and the experience was mediocre, but this was during covid so I didnt leave a review as ai felt it wouldnt be accurate based off the circumstances. So today I went in for lunch with a few friends and the atmosphere was very relaxing and the staff was accommodating to our needs. The food was amazing out waitress Tori was nice and the manager Dallas came to check in with our meals and gave us drink recommendations which we were all pleased with. Overall it was a great experience and I will definitely be returning.
Coming from 16 years FOH restaurant experience.Went in for brunch around 1:00pm. Our server had a max of 3 tables the entire time we were in her section. It took a over 5 minutes to be greeted (not a big deal). Our bar drink sat on the bar well for over 5 minutes (also not a big deal). Our server fired our entrees at the same time as our salads. Our salads never came out, and our entrees hit the table at about 15 minutes (normal wait time). We let the server know we didnt want the salads anymore, but could use some cheese. She proceeds to drop off boxes to a table, take an order, grab drinks, and stand at the PoS for awhile. We had to reminder her again that we wanted cheese, but we were almost finished. Half way through the meal I ran out of water and put the glass at the end of the table. She walk by atleast 5 times but didnt stop or grab me a refill. My girlfriend wanted another bar drink but was never asked or given the opportunity to ask. We figure since we didnt get salads we might as well each get desert. The server walks by, drops off the check, and tells us she will be right back to pick it up. Apparently we didnt want desert, water, or another bar drink. As we are signing our check her other table next to us was complaining to a food runner that their server forgot a couple things.- Why was there only one person on line cooking for both cold and hot end?- Why did a manager have time to comp our salads but not do a table touch?- Why was service so poor when the server only had three 2 tops?- Why werent we offered more bread, water, bar drinks, or desert? Or atleast given the opportunity to ask for them?- Why wasnt our meal paced out by the server, which would have atleast prevented entrees from dropping before salads?Worst service Ive ever had in a restaurant. I have served tables for 10 years and worked restaurant bars for 6. This server was poorly trained and should not be on her own. Management is doing a poor job with addressing and resolving problems. Kitchen is likely just short staffed, which is understandable. The bar seems on top of things. Hostess stand was great. Food was pretty good. Will not come back.Management, this is a you problem.
Jeff is THE WORST!! He arrived to our table with an attitude, gave a bland hi. I returned the salutation with a bit more of enthusiasm and asked him how he was doing. His response was, Im ooookaaayy as if he had answered that question 4 million times in the last 30mins and to just get on with it. He explained we was, so busy (We were 1 out of 6 tables sitting inside the restaurant, with there clearly being 1 other server and a hostess. Kitchen did seem busy however, Jeff was working the bar where there was 2 ppl sitting and waiting on another 5 top table.) Jeff comes to take our drink order and my friend asks what his recommendations were for a good adult beverage, he shrugs his shoulders and points out on the menu where she can pick a drink. He unenthusiastically takes our order and gives my friend the side eye when she asks to add spinach to her meal by writing it down with a sigh. She then asks Jeff for more bread, his response, Ill get you more after this piece is gone. He doubled down on his response even after my friend informed him it was cold and hard by informing us, we just waste SOO much! Ill getyou more when thats gone. We let Jeff know that wasnt gonna work so he snatched our basket off our table and brought us back 3 pieces of bread. Needless to say we spoke with your MOD Dallas. By the look and response we KNOW this isnt your first complaint about Jeff! Please DO better Bravo! Jeff needs to be behind the scenes or in a position where he does NOT have to interact with people. Food was AMAZING but service was Atrocious!!
This is the first time we’ve been back to Bravo! since they reopened after closing amidst COVID-19, and the service and quality has definitely improved dramatically (even though it wasn’t bad before). The hostess, the manager, our server Julia and the bus staff were all very attentive and friendly. Everyone treated us nicely. The food was incredible and our plates and trash were always removed from the table immediately when we were done with them! We will definitely be back!
Our server seemed like she really didnt want to be there and was going through the motions. Perhaps she just had a long day. The good wasnt what i expected.i got the lobster bisque and was greatly disappointed. I didnt even finish it. The bartender was AWESOME. For what I went there for (to connect with family) it served its purpose but I dont be going back
We had reservations so they knew in advance we were coming for my nieces graduation celebration dinner. The guest of honor and her family arrived and were seated, no one acknowledged them and they had to get their own drinks from the bar. When the rest of the party all arrived we asked for our server, no one came or acknowledged us. The rest of us got our own drinks and the bartender said the servers were arguing over who was taking our table...SERIOUSLY???? It took over 45 minutes and our party getting ready to walk out before someone came over. The food was awful, way too much garlic and the drinks were not as described on the menu...they left all the fruit out. Worst place ever, the under new management/ownership needs to close it back down. What a waste of our time and money. Don’t take reservations if you can’t accommodate your patrons. This restaurant used to be amazing! That ship has definitely sailed!
It was wonderful. Started out with the lobster bisque, and it was superb. None of that Imitation lobster stuff. A very hearty flavor. Our dinners did not disappoint either. The service was great as well. Cudos to our waitress Amber who was very attentive. And this being our first time to the restaurant, offered us a desert on the house. We were so full we couldn’t eat it, so she suggested we take it home. Next time we visit the mall, this will be our dinner destination!
Our server was very kind, but the bread we received was rock hard and the salads were room temperature and wilted. It also took 45 minutes to receive our salads, and there are only 4 other tables in the restaurant. I rated 3 stars because I truly felt that our server was doing her best, but we will not be back.
I read the bad reviews, but wanted to give them a try anyways. Have eaten at bravo pre-covid and was always good. $20 chicken parmigiana was horrible. I could tell it was microwaved. Rubbery chicken, old tough slimy noodles, and two squirts of marinara sauce. The hostess even told me the kitchen had to recook my chicken because it was too pink. But the new chicken was rubbery and cold. My kid eats better at the school cafeteria. Bravo should be ashamed of what they are putting out. Obviously workers have no pride in the food quality there. But hey at least they got a 20% tip. Right?
We had gotten take out for the family.. lasagna was 2 layers of noodles with meat and cheese sauce in the middle.. my kids didnt like it. I had the parmesan veal, it was ok. The wife had chicken marsala and said it was bland. We use to like this restaurant, but unfortunately like many restaurants they have lost their touch. Guessing we are going to need to skip the eating out and take outs as our meals taste better homemade and we could charge a similar price if we were selling them. Sorry.
Located at the Franklin Park mall it has the potential to be great. It is one of their higher end restaurants and it has a decent menu. I will say their chicken carbonera was good but had a strong wine taste and it was pretty pricey. They are currently VERY understaffed so their service is lacking.
The atmosphere is very nice. The server was wonderful and very helpful. The food that I ordered was the shrimp fettuccine Alfredo. The fettuccine was chewy and the sauce very bland. I had to ask for salt and Parmesan cheese to make it even edible. There was very little Alfredo sauce and I had to ask for a side of sauce. I was also disappointed with the small portion size for the price. I left still hungry and had to grab a burger on the way home. This was my first time eating here and I likely will not return to this location. I have two stars but the one star was for the server.
Came a few weeks ago and it took.forever just to get my drink and then my entree was wrong and then tried to charge me for the wring entree and the right one and then they charged my friends meal to my card and mine to hers. And it took literally 30 min to do the billing process and we were so over it we didnt care to fix the last wrong card wrong bill issue.Today I tried to.do to go and I went inside when my order was due and it took 15 min for any staff to even acknowledge the group of people waiting and my simple one appetizer order took well beyond the time I was told.
It was sooo good!!! It wasnt busy inside. We were seated immediately. I went to the bathroom and it was spotless. The bread, drinks and food was so fresh and impressive that it has become a favorite of myself and my husband. Even to take to go...I will remember this place. The lasagna though!!!!!!!
Terrible terrible just terrible! I ordered through Door Dash and waited what seems like an eternity. Since you can track your driver, I knew it was not him that caused the delay (he was waiting for my order at the restaurant). When it finally arrived, the Chicken Parm was burnt to a crisp and there was absolutely NO SAUCE to be found anywhere in, around or on the entire dish! It was totally inedible. The calamari was bad too...stone cold and no flavor whatsoever I called the restaurant and the manager I spoke with is supposed to fix it. Well see....should have stayed closed apparently. -0- stars for me.
We went on a bad day. It just reopened since the shut down and you can tell the staff was stressed and short staffed. They were out of a lot of food. The atmosphere seemed like it would be nice.. It was my first time going and Ive been here at least 10 years. The server was so nice and apologetic! The menu is very light for an Italian restaurant.. It needs an update. My and my husbands noodles were under cooked. May try again in a few months.
The food and our server was fair for the most part. We were the last people to leave the restaurant due to our server leaving without letting us know she needed to leave before checking us out/closing the check with us (Saturday, February 20, 2021). So she informed her associate waitress next to her section were we were seated to close our check out. We gave her two forms of payment to cash us out which was to use our gift card first; then for the remaining balance use my debit card. Didnt get her name of the associated waitress she came back with the receipt but didnt have the gift card amount applied to lowering our balance of what we were charged. So she stated that it was applied but no additional and/or new receipt was printed. So we signed the receipt and left a cash tip and preceded to leave because the restaurant was closing. I checked my bank account transactions this morning to see that I was charged the full amount instead of a lower balance for our check if the gift card amount was supposedly applied as stated by the waitress. So called 2 hours before open of the restaurant to speak a manager, but no one was available to talk to until 10:15/10:20 am. Once I was able to talk to a manager I explained what happened and was told that the one manager will investigate the issue with the other managers. Then will get back to me soon. Well several hours passed and still no call back from a manager regarding my issue. So my fiance and I decided to drive up to the restaurant and talk to a manager in person since we called again, but was put on hold. Before hearing hold music we heard the hostess staff talking and being unprofessional so we hung up the phone. Then proceed to head to the restaurant. Once arrived at the restaurant asked to speak to the manager in charge, but had to while for 10 minutes before he came out to listen to my issue because I didnt receive a call in a timely manner as promised. So he asked if I wanted a full refund or a gift card in the amount that was supposed to be applied. I stated I wanted a full refund like he promised on the phone, but was only given partial refund payment. I stated I will keep tabs on my bank account to make sure I receive my refund. We will not go back to the Bravo! in Toledo, OH on Monroe St. outside the Franklin Park Mall.
Very very slow service. Four tables seated when we got here. Took forever to get drinks Ive been sitting without a drink for 15 mins and waiter hasnt even came back to our table. We have been here for 45 minutes and still no food or any wait staff has been back to our table to check on us. Wont be backOk minus being very slow. The food was very good.Guessing the amount of carry our orders going out is what was slowing the kitchen up.
The place was very nice. The staff friendly and not overbearing. The food was good, but I have difficulty with the idea of dipping bread in oil; even though it is seasoned n fancy. The meal was good but the salad was extra. Considering the price, I would think it would come with at least a small salad. We had a large group, n every one enjoyed their food.
Overall the experience was great. The food was excellent, the atmosphere was inviting, and the interactions with our young son seemed genuine. The service was slow in both replenishing drinks and even in preparing and delivering our entres. We dined on a slow Tuesday evening (15-20% capacity). However the food was certainly worth it and the employees did make the wait almost unnoticeable. We would recommend to any and everyone!
Dining in experience. Was very nice, great wait staff, lovely atmosphere and the food was delicious. I got the salmon and shrimp risotto, it arrived quickly, good portions sizes, was piping hot, and cooked to perfection. Bread they left on the table beforehand with the small plate of oil and herbs was also very good. Also got to have a bowl of their lobster bisque, VERY good, not sweet like many other places prepare it. It’s a bit pricey but well worth it, perfect place for a nice date.
We reserved a table for eight oclock, I figured thatd be plenty of time for the dinner crowd to have emptied out, we arrived about twenty minutes before our reservation, we checked in and were told wed be seated closer to our reservation time, which was fine. Eight oclock came and went, no call to be seated. Ten after eight, no call. Fifteen minutes, no call to be seated. Several large parties have cleared out in the meantime. Twenty after eight, I go to the host who looked bothered by my presence, I ask if well be seated anytime soon and he explains that while there ARE tables available he cant seat me until he has a server available. A couple minutes pass and were finally seated.I dont know if it was our servers first big weekend but she was overwhelmed to say the least. So, I was willing to cut some slack, busy weekend; Valentines day, winter formals, etc. But she didnt suggest ANYTHING she didnt suggest appetizers, drinks, nothing. She also had the habit of only looking at my husband when speaking to us.With the price of the meals, one would think theres be some sides or something, but no. So we ordered our side salads ($6) it was probably the best thing I ate. The dishes were pretty but not tasty, pretty bland.Needless to say, we wont be back.
In a word AWFUL. In the past the food and service were really good. When we arrived for lunch, just 2 of us, we were told it would be a 10 minute wait. Plenty of empty tables (on valentines day). After the wait had to ask about being seated. Two few wait staff, but on the other hand they werent busy. Finally got a waitress and menus. Slow service, the food small portions and not particularly good. I think they ration the mozzarella. Never return.
Also got to have a bowl of their lobster bisque, VERY good,
Atmosphere was wonderful. Real comfortable and relaxed. Pricing was about what youd expect for a somewhat upscale Italian restaurant. However, the server was not attentive whatsoever. Drinks left empty for almost a half hour. Seldomly checked up on. And a 28 dollar 16 oz New York strip steak ordered medium coming out completely rare (the manager insisted it was slightly toward medium rare despite the steak being dark red) is not a huge advantage. The rest of the meals ordered (chicken, pork, etc) were delicious and worth every penny. Overall, I wouldnt say its the best Italian restaurant in the area, but it does contend.
Downhill slide... I feel like this place used to be a lot better. we went on a slow Sunday night and there was hardly anyone in the place and it still took us well over 40 minutes to get our food. The plates and glasses always are dirty and grimy. Even when I asked for a new plate, the replacement was not fully clean. The pasta was not seasoned well and just overcooked. This place used to be really good but its almost like they stopped trying. The only reason it doesnt get one star instead of two is because the inside is quiet lovely with its decor.
This place is a joke brought me out a berry lemonade tht was all water no lemon in it period..i order some chicken breast these ppl came out with 2 pieces of chicken breast as thin as paper uncooked mushrooms and some watery sauce tht lool like gravy and wanted 30.00....i walked outta there confused and hungry it was already empty so everyone must know how terrible the food is here...u need new cooks and a new menu...your selection sucks
Took the family out for dinner and the restaurant was not very busy without a wraith which was a plus. Server came immediately and took our drink order and took at least 10 minutes just to bring us water and to take our appetizer order. Fried calamari were actually really good and I honestly have no complaints about the appetizers. My wife and I plus our two kids all ordered salads before our entrees. Salads were VERY small for the additional price but I guess served their purpose. Entrees came out before we were even a quarter of the way through the salads with EXTREMELY hot plates which they proceeded to sit in front of all of us including a 4 and 10 year old. Both adult pasta meals were very bland and very dry. Childrens chicken parm was the best of all. Crispy chicken with a flavorful sauce. Will definitely be getting that next time. As far as service goes, I spent the majority of my meal with an empty water glass and had to repeatedly flag down my server for a refill. Dont think I will be planning a trip back here in the future.
I ate at Bravos last night with 8 women. We celebrated one of our birthdays. The restaurant gave us a beautiful room towards the back and served us with great food. We had a very competent and sweet waitress. It was a wonderful time and recommend this restaurant for your next celebration.
Nothing worse than trying to have a nice lunch with a friend and having cinversatiion our waiter brings us the bill and continued to hound us to pay our bill. Never have I been so rushed and felt all this guy wanted was his tip. Where is the courtesy? Im a paying customer and wanted to have a nice lunch with a friend and felt I was driven out by this employee. I will not be back anytime soon ....Im very sorry. Not impressed at all.
I have been here twice and the only reason it gets 2 stars is because it has sentimental meaning for my wife and I.The first time we visited was the night that I proposed to my wife. I remember it being nice, but not impressive. Honestly I was so excited and nervous to propose I dont remember the trip that well, but we will just say it was adequate. The second time I visited was recently, over a year later, for our 1st wedding anniversary. I am not giving Bravo a poor review because I was expecting something spectacular. I am giving Bravo a poor review because the service we received was not even average, it was bad. Our food took over 35 minutes to come out, for 2 entrees. When it finally came out my order was wrong (they gave me the wrong steak). I was so irritated with the wait that I didnt want to complain and subsequently have to wait another 35 minutes for my food. I should also probably mention that this was not a busy night by any means, our waitress was only serving 3-4 tables including us. During the course of the meal I ordered a drink from the bar, apparently the ordering system for drinks got messed up (pen and paper) and yet again I was waiting. This time I waited 15 minutes for my drink. The waitress was kind and apologetic but not helpful. In conclusion, I probably will not return, and would not suggest to anyone celebrating their first year of marriage.
Great atmosphere, the waiters and waitresses are nice. You can see what goes on in the kitchen. Good prices for what you get. You get bread just as you would at Olive Garden. I ordered a New York Strip well done and it came back medium well done. Overall the place is okay and that is why I have rated it only 4 stars.
Went for a late lunch. Still lots of activity and filled tables. Popular place with couples and business people. Food was good, salad-based dishes served in a large bowl with a moderate-sized salad, not huge or overwhelming. Salmon was awesome. Nice atmosphere, alcohol available, $12-$17 for most lunch entrees, not including appetizers, dessert, beverage, alcohol, tip.
This was one of the worst dining experience I have had. We went there yesterday to celebrate our sons birthday. Right from the get go it was bad. Waited too long for the waitress to even come to our table to ask if we wanted something to drink. After she took the drink orders, we wondered if she got lost, because it took a long time to get the drinks. Got our food order placed, and got the salads and soup in a fair amount of time, but then it all went further downhill from there. One hour and fifteen minutes later, we where still waiting for out food, without anyone ever coming by to give any explanation why it was taking so long. We also noticed that people that came in well after we did where getting their food. Even these people were complaining, and they had finished eating while we were still waiting for our food. I heard the waitress apologize to them afterwards that it had taken so long, while we were still waiting for our food without any apology or update on our food. I finally waved down the waitress and asked her if somehow we had gotten lost. Now she apologizes and says the food should be up soon. I then pointed out that there where several tables that came in well after us, and not only had they already gotten their food, but some had already finished eating. Well even after that we continued to wait. Finally, the manager came over and said that the food should be coming right up. I told her that I had heard that before, but that waiting well over an hour was ridiculous. Finally after one hour and fifteen minutes our food arrived. After we ate, the waitress finally came back to our table and we asked if they offered any kind of free desert for someone celebrating a birthday, which our son was at the time. The waitress then said that they would like to offer any us a free dessert for our troubles. Four out of seven of us had driven over an hour to get here and it was getting late, so we passed on the dessert, but asked if our son and wife could get something to go because they lived close by and the baby needed to get home. They each ordered a dessert and after another wait, the manager finally arrived at our table to inform them that they had run out of one of the desserts. Finally feed up, we asked them to just bring us the check. As the manager started to walk away, I asked her for her name, which is Nicole. At that point I think she realized that I was probably going to file a complaint, so she ended up comping the dinner. A number of others at the table were also upset and voiced their displeasure as well. Even my 81 year old mother-in-law who owns a restaurant herself was so upset that she also voiced her displeasure to the manager. We wanted our son to have an enjoyable birthday, but instead he will have a memory of a very disappointing birthday celebration. I would like to say, that even with all that went bad, the food turned out to be very enjoyable.
The food here is fabulous. My friends and I go for their happy hour, order half off appetizers and share. Their food is delicious and the staff is very professional. Ive rented the small private room which seats about 20 for my daughters graduation party. Perfect for a smaller group.
Ate at this restaurant for a group event. We were presented with a group menu that included no prices. The food choices were limited. I ordered the chicken parmigiana which was comparable to a frozen dinner. The wait staff seemed stressed. There were a few pieces of bread on the table which were quickly eaten, definitely not enough bread to go around to everyone. When we asked for more bread we were told it was in the oven. We never saw another bit of bread the rest of the night and many in the group went without bread. The worst part was when the bill came. $63.00 for two dinners! Definitely way overpriced for the quality of food and the service. Marine our shock when the bill came since we weren’t aware of the astronomical price beforehand. The facilities were just ok. Our group was stuffed into an irregularly shaped area with very little room around the table. I didn’t see any other parts of the restaurant so I cannot comment on that.Based on this experience, we won’t be returning. Bad food, cramped seating and lacking service at a price that was way too high.
Decent food excellent service. Not the best and mildly pricy for what it is. Lobster bisque is average. Never been bad never been great just kinda meh. On par with the Olive garden for more money. Kinda like getting dressed up, same stuff underneath with a little more class on the outside.
Most of my reviews are Five Star reviews as I generally choose to comment on my good experiences only. The quality of the dinners served to our foursome last evening started Bravo off at five stars, but the value proposition and the inconsistent service cost them a star each leaving us with a three star visit.Dinner prices at Bravo include a hefty premium for the fine decor and high Franklin Park Mall rent. However a $10 house cab, a $15 vegetarian alfredo (with no accompanying salad) and another $5 to get that house salad makes for a $20 meal with an ingredient cost less than $4. A value in Chicago, pricey in Toledo.Service was a puzzle to us. Getting our initial drinks took at least 15 minutes and what was really unique was the two glasses of wine arrived well before the two iced teas. The server actually stopped to take our dinner order before the drinks arrived. The server had a fair amount of difficulty identifying salads and entrees when they were served and some plate swapping went on in our group after the server departed. We do recognize that all restaurants face severe staffing issues these days and often the staff we interact with does not have the training and experience you would like them to have when they are thrown on the floor to take care of guests.Back to the drinks. The bar area if far removed from the dining area. I wonder, I am not saying this happened last night, but the symptoms were there. I wonder if the bartender was so wrapped up in tending to the bartenders guests that perhaps the servers needs for their dining room guests were not getting prompt attention. It was a Monday night visit. The dining room was at most 30% filled. There was plenty of staff and also a manager visible and active. Still three stars. If invited to join a couple at Bravo we will happily join but if we are choosing an Italian outing we likely will end up elsewhere.
Their food is really good and they have friendly waitstaff. My order came out in a reasonable amount of time and my order was accurate. I have had consistantly good experiences each time that I visit this location. I prefer to go here instead of the nearby olive garden.
Bravo is a very elegant Italian restaurant. I tried the spaghettini and meatballs which were delicious. My companion had the grilled chicken with spaghetti which was also very tasty. The one drawback is they offer salad or soup for $4.99 with your entree. We thought that was a bit steep for that accompaniment. Service was friendly and efficient. This place would be very nice for a special occasion.
Went for Mothers Day brunch. The stuffed french toast was delicious but everything else was very bland. One family member asked for her bacon to be cooked more and the waitress brought back burnt bacon before she replaced it for the second time. Two family members asked for marinara on the side but they still ended up with it in their omelet. Overall, it was just mediocre.
It was actually pretty bad, bartenders didnt really want to wait on us. She got our gluten free order wrong, the chicken on the other was basically leather. They didnt check on us soooooo probably not going back there. Wont be surprised if theyre closed in a year. The service has gotten so bad.
After what seems a decade of loyal patronage, my husband and I will not go back to this restaurant. Waiter lost one of two fifty dollar bills we submitted toward our bill. We were out $50 and forced to use a credit card to pay.In the last 6 months, it seems all their staff have left and the food quality has diminished. No apologies. We are through.
Awesome restaurant with an amazing selection of Italian food. However in a rather large group they had two servers taking orders and I was sitting pretty much in the center of the group and the servers totally skipped over me. Never took my order so I didnt eat but its ok It was mothers day and I was basically just there as a formality because family expects my presence at this sort of thing. Oh well. I dont think others would be as understanding as me and unwilling to make a scene so I hope they fix it.
Super disappointed with the service we did not receive. Not only did it start with the rude lady who sat us like we just ruined her day, but we literally sat in our booth for a little over five minutes with not a single waiter/waitress stoping to even give us some water needless to say we will never go back.Recommendation hire employees who love their job.
The food was OK but that was not the issue me and my husband experienced. The General Manager was so Obese she clearly could not do her job properly, it took her more than 10 minutes to come to our table and she was completely out of breath when she arrived and on top of that was unhelpful and unprofessional we will never return and support a company that puts disrespectful and rude individuals in a position of authority.
Had dinner here the Sunday evening before New Years Eve. When we got there they said it was a 20 minute wait and there were maybe 5-6 people waiting. We got seated an hour later. We werent happy. But the food was good, one of the managers waited on us and so the service was good.
The service was absolutely awful. Hostess walked away from stand as soon as we walked in and didnt come back for 5+ minutes. Were told 15-20 minute wait, and we instead waited over 40. There were open tables EVERYWHERE. When we finally got seated, we were asked what we wanted to drink. Over 15 minutes for a drink from the bar. Didnt return for our food order for a long time (thankfully someone brought us bread while we waited). Between waiting to be seated, 2 drinks and just DESSERT, we were here for OVER 2hours. The servers were all arguing loudly behind us, obviously unable to keep composure around guests. I will NEVER return here. I had a gift card to use, thankfully didnt spend my own money!
My husband and I visited Bravo tonight , 4/18 Thursday , was seated immediately ... yet we waited for almost 10 minutes for a waiter to come take our drink order etc. , someone other than our waiter came over to give us water and bread, waited another 10-12 minutes for our order to actually be taken. Ok cool ... finally. Nope sorry , waited 28 minutes for our food, while I watched another couple who arrived after us , eat, plus got food boxed to go. FINALLY... our food arrived, granted I had a salad. Our waiter knew our frustration, and apologized , asked if we’d like to speak to manager. Of course we did, but we had to wait while he spoke to other patrons ...I’m sorry to go on about our service, but the disappointment was beyond frustrating!!!!
Food was great, lovely and cosy atmosphere, when you reserve a table you find it ready on time,on valentine day Alexandria setup the table in a way that my wife was so surprised and happy with, and our waitress Geneva was so lovely and friendly, thank you.it will be always my fav place to eat relax and have a friendly time
My boyfriend and I went to Bravo for dinner last night. We were not impressed. The service was awful. Our waitress was not pleasant. She had an attitude every time she spoke with us. The food was just okay, nothing special. There was a divider/ledge next to our table. More than once other peopless dirty plates were sat on that ledge, right in our faces, which really grosses me out. Theres probably better places to sit dirty plates (not in someones face). Overall, it wasnt a great experience and I dont plan on going back.
Whitney is a fast and efficient server. She anticipates our needs especially the needs of the baby. We have had many other servers and now we will only dine here when Whitney is working. Otherwise, the service is poor. Michelle is an effective bar tender. She is knowledgeable and efficient. She always remembers what I usually order. The food is always excellent. We enjoy the brunch menu and the desserts as well.
Date nite. We were walking at the mall but before we entered we encountered Bravo. We decided to have a late dinner and waited about 15 minutes for a table. Not bad, since we didnt have reservations.Lots of parties were there. The place smelled amazing! When we were seated we were greeted for our drinks. They do serve alcohol but we chose non-alcoholic beverages. Soon or bread came and she took our order. My ensalada della Bravo was wonderful! My husband had the lobster bisque which he loved, said it was his second favorite. Our food came quickly and huge servings my husband had ravioli I forgot what it was called but it had spinach and sausage. He loved it the sauce was delicious I tried that. I had chicken marsala I substituted mashed potatoes with angel hair pasta it was wonderful the chicken was perfect and tender the sauce was amazing. We ordered dessert to share and we had creme brulee which was cold but warm on top. I didnt care for the sugar it tasted burnt to me but the rest of it was heavenly. All in all service was great food was delicious and we had a nice time.Check was as expected.
New menu and things have changed. I ordered the Spaghetti bolognese and asked if I could have Meatballs too and was told I could . The beef is now natural and organic I guess thats why it was over $16.00 and one meatball. It wasnt very flavorful either. Now the Eggplant parmigiana combo was good and came with a very nice salad. The Shrimp diavalo, one in our group ordered did not taste the same as it used to and had less Shrimp in it and cost more than it used to. Not sure Ill go back soon.
One star rating bc I cant give a negative 10 star. Waited there for over an hour for our table that would take no more than 30 minutes. The kid up front was very sarcastic and non apologetic when I reminded him the time was up twice over. There were servers standing around and many, many tables without people at them. I really dont see why they couldnt have seated us or the families ahead of us. Happy fathers day to all the hungry dads out there

2022-04-14Nice restaurant.Great place to have a mini celebration with family and friends. The customer service is exquisite. The waiter asked if my friends were enjoying their meal and they said no. To my surprise she asked them to order another one and it was changed for free.I would recommend it anytime!

2021-10-02First time at this location. Arrived around 4:30pm. It was happy hour. We requested to sit outside in the patio area. The tables were dirty with left over food stains. About 20 minutes later. Someone arrived to take our drink orders. Sometime later we were able to order food. It took 60 minutes for our order to arrive.During this period of time i got up three times to request silverware, water, bread etc. My happy hour burger arrived plain and i was informed that garnish would be an additional charge Huh. 20 min later a small plate arrive with garnish. My burger is now coldMy wife never got her soup. After 2 hours of this we had enough. I had to go inside to ask the bill. Wouldnt go back

2022-04-01The service wasnt the greatest cause my pasta was dry. I feel like attitudes were in the air with the serving staff. It took our server forever to grab things that we needed. If something wasnt right she made us feel like it was a inconvenience for her so nobody wanted to complain about things that werent right. Kitchen was short staffed and you could tell because of how our service was.

2022-06-12The atmosphere is nice and the service was good. I really like the bread and oil accompaniment. The food is good, but my pasta woozy had virtually no chicken in it. For the price I would expect half a breast at least and I had nowhere near that. I counted 6 small pieces total. On the other hand, the pasta and sauce were very tasty.

2022-04-25First time in my life I have eaten here, have been wanting to try it for about 2 weeks now and today was the day. We came for lunch on Monday around 11:30am, which is 30 minutes after they open. The bartender, Daphane, was our server there was no host and there was one other table already eating when we arrived. She sat us and took care of us throughout the meal she was very nice and helpful. We sat down orderd wine and then Daphane gave us extra time to order as we have never been here before. We got the lunch combos which came with soup or salad which we ate then our meals came out about 10 minutes after which was perfect. My only issue but you wouldnt think of a big deal but when you spend 50 plus dollars on lunch, you expect it to be perfect. We were promised bread about four times during our meal oh, its in the oven then the cook forgot to put it in the oven then it will be out shortly I finished my meal and the bread was brought to the table. The server collected our plates as the bread came out mind you we had been in the restaurant for about 40 minutes at this point. I have a hard time justifying coming back and spending another 50 for lunch or 75 for dinner for 2 if its not a perfect experience oh, there are too many options choices and to spend that amount of money on lunch and it not be a great experience. I wanted the cheesecake for dessert but since I had bread for dessert we did not buy the cheesecake.

2022-04-06Great service, was seated rather quickly. The staff was very friendly, and always had a glass full of water. It was my first time there and definitely better than Olive Garden.

2021-12-14We were a table of 10 celebrating birthdays and the holidays. Tory’s service was excellent. She kept up with all of our wine orders, lunches, more this or that…and took a great photo of us. Rob, another server, came to our table and sang Happy Birthday in three languages. Delightful! Could not have had a better time anywhere. Highly recommend ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I had the salmon salad which was delicious. Everyone loved their food!

2021-10-21Um.. Yeah this does not look like the pictures at all. Not even a little. Just thought Id try this place for the first time and fresh basil sounded good..but yeah as you can see, not much of that going on there and the calamari is literally rubber bands. Ive never seen anything this bad in my life, its like a whole new low. The pizza is like basically just bread that isnt cooked all the way and theres not even sauce on it to redeem it having tomatoes sliced thinner than Ive ever seen in my life, a couple small pieces of cheese and a few withered strings of basil.Never again for this place, this is not even edible and its not cheap either!
