I have been renting here for almost 3 years now. We absolutely love our apartment, it was large enough to grow into for two people. Any time we put in a work order for a small issue, someone is in to fix it within a day or so. One time we had an emergency situation, and the maintenance man showed up immediately. I recommend them to friends and family looking for a rental in the area.
This is my first time moving into an apartment all by myself, and as a 19 year old, of course I don’t have a complete grasp on the entire application process. Staff answered all of my questions happily, and never made me feel pressured to sign anything or agree to anything. Meeting with staff to see the apartment and turn in paperwork was also less of a chore with how polite and sociable the staff are. The apartments are clean, reasonably priced, and in a nice low crime, quiet area. Perfect apartments for anyone looking for their first place or a permanent home.
Apartment was basic, price goes up after a year. Management is extremely unprofessional and rude. There was mold in the air conditioner in my daughters room, thankfully I noticed in time. Not sure how they didn’t when they installed it. Moved out in June and continuing to be charged rent. Would never recommend this place to anyone.
This company Is the worst company I have ever rented from. They do not care for the renters at all. We’ve lived here for 8 months now, paid on time every time. They didn’t give us an ac unit until June and the ac units did not work. We called and complained and they didnt do anything until august. And even then they still gave us a ac in bad shape. Every time we called maintenance they never showed up on time. They would show up maybe a week or two weeks after you called and you’d never know when someone would be walking in your home. We recently watched a friends cat while they’re on a vacation and the landlord charged us 340 the very next day. During COVID. Demanded 340 the very next day. I have never lived in an apartment where the landlord was that bad. I would never recommend Borchers to anyone. They’re a horrible company and trust me I’d rather spend more money in another apartment then ever rent there again
Borchers Rentals one of the most accomodating rental agencies Ive worked with. Due to travel issues, we rented the apartment after seeing many pics and multiple conversations. The staff (Renee) was kind and friendly and reassured me of the safety of the area and the cleanliness of the apartment. We were pleased the apartment is spacious, efficient and very clean. Did I mention very clean? Hands down, first class act.
Ive lived here over a year. The rent is reasonable, the apartment quiet and in a good neighborhood. Any time Ive had a maintenance issue, its been handled quickly. I would certainly recommend the apartment duplex. Having a garage is certainly nice.
Management is rarely on the same page. When you call to talk to them, they talk in circles and will deny what they have told you in prior conversations.Houses and apartments are fixed to the bare minimum before you move in. Walls, screens, floor boards, pipes, and carpeting are not fixed or replaced unless you call the emergency maintenance line. If you have the option I DO NOT recommend renting for this company, they do not know how to take care of the customers.
Uncaring Management (especially a secretary named Amy Romine) I pay rent on time every month and still get treated like an outsider. I do NOT recommend them. There are other places that wont bug you for the small stuff and assist in the upkeep of repairs needed. Makes me think it may be a race thing?? Stay away if at all possible. Not worth the headache
I’ve been renting my apartment from Borchers Rentals for about 6 mouths now. This is the first time I’ve lived by myself, so naturally I had no idea what to expect with applications, but they were so patient with me and very helpful. As far as the actual apartment, I honestly love it. It’s nothing more than I need and nothing less. I was blessed to live on the ground floor so I have a small patio that I just absolutely love! The only thing I would say is the kitchen is very small, but as long as you aren’t cooking for a lot of people, it’s just fine. Over all, I love living here and they’re great people to rent from!
In my year + of renting an apartment, their staff has provided exceptional customer service. They have been very easy to communicate with and responsive with maintenance requests. I highly recommend Borchers Rentals!
We called Borchers home for five years. While we were residents, we received great care! Timely maintenance repairs, great service in the office (I forgot my online login many times- Thank you Amy and Renee!), and well maintained landscaping and property. Only reason we no longer call this home is that we purchased our first home!Thank you to Sean and his amazing staff!
Just moved out of one of their doubles. The apartment was pretty basic but they fixed any issues that we had withing a reasonable amount if time. The staff is okay, I mainly dealt with Renee.
Dont let the new management fool you nothing in this place has changed. They are still putting in sub par materials and following a patch it up process for everything. The only time they will do anything the right was is when they legally have to. If I hadnt known what black mold looked like they would have just patched over the rotted stinking drywall in my shower.Dont bother complaining to the office about anything either, they will go out of their way to argue with you over every little thing. The only option they will give you with anything is Give your 30 days notice. Horrible attitudes are the standard with Borchers rentals.This place does not care at all about the tenants it has, they only care about squeezing out every dime they can. If you care about your family do NOT rent from Borchers rentals.
Great & friendly staff. Very helpful and quick with maintenance issues. I have no complaints. Id still be renting from them but they had no vacancies that fit what I was looking for. Id highly recommend them to anyone looking.
Serious lack of communication from office personnel. My husband and I went and looked at a unit that was listed for $660 and after I done the application found out the rent was $690. Anna did not give any details about the unit (like rent). After I paid the $30 fee was told too bad you were told the application fee was non refundable. Luckily we hadnt paid my husbands fee yet.
My apartment and workshop look out on the park across the street making it cozy as I work. Its fun when it rains and I can throw open the garage door, wave to my neighbors and watch the world go by.The staff has been good to me these past eight years, too!
The staff is very rude... me and my friend got chased out of the pool simply because she didnt sign the guest list while we were the only ones there. They even try to charge $200 for spots on the wall. At the end I got screwed over for paying a full month of rent for nothing because I didnt give a 30 day notice so they can find my replacement !!!
Dont rent here. They have a pool but they have a NO GUEST RULE UNLESS YOU ARE OB THE LEASE! SOOOO, I cant even take my grandkids! TownE hones in troy, carriage hill in Sidney and ALL SURROUNDING AREAS with pools allow 4 guest. Im SINGLE AND LiVE ALONE, But POOL RuLES are that you CANT SWIM ALONE, yet, they wont let you bring anyone either so basically I CANT USE THE POOL. THEY CHARGE EXTRA 25 BUCKS A YEAR TO USE IT, so its NOT included in your rent and they dont allow floatees.THE WORST is that I have a window a/c that isnt large enough to cool my entire apt! I have to live in my bedroom during the summer. The maintainance ppl say it WORKS FINE. YRA, IT WORKS FINE FOR ONE ROOM, NOT MY WHOLE APT.Its been on 62 for 3 days and a Reese cup melted on my kitchen counter today!!! Yea, IT REALLY WORKS.ALSO THE POOL CLOSES at 630!!!! What a JOKE I HATE THIS PLACE

Property management is horrible, they talk to their renters like trash. Penny is very nasty they way she treats and talks to people and when she cant over talk you she gets angry and hangs up on you.
Love this place. Landlord found me the perfect apartment for myself and my son. Management is very on top of maintaining the place as well
Very unfair I was and an employee and I also live there I was terminated because I lost my license for an hour and 28 minutes therefore they also caused me to lose my home they tried to force me to move out 4 days before Christmas with a 7 day notice then they gave me an option to pay $1,500 in rent for 2 months but I still had to get out March 1st and they did not allow me to rent one of the other 500 + units they have they said I had to get out and Im a single father they do not care about ones livelihood
Buy beware! Terrible customer service and maintenance. Often times had to call multiple times to get something done. Office staff is very rude and unprofessional. NOT RECOMMENDED

2021-12-20The apartment in this lovely quiet and friendly town was perfect for my daughter while she was going to school at the Hobart Institute of Welding and Technology. The staff in the leasing office were wonderful, always helpful. The maintenance staff was very responsive and quick to take care of anything needed. The attached garage was a big plus! I would certainly recommend using Borschers Rentals!

We felt overwhelmed by the whole rental process since not renting a place in 20+ years and coming from another state.Renee walked us through every step of the process and made it a breeze to get though. Renee is the kind of person you pray is going to answer the phone when you call.The apartment was the perfect size, clean and reasonably priced in a nice neighborhood, awesome for our son’s first apartment while he is attending welding school.Everything he could possibly need is nearby.

2021-08-13I just moved out of my Borchers apartment after living there for two and a half years. I was honestly a little sad to leave. Renee Sweitzer and her team were great to interact with. The few times that I had maintenance issues, they were quick to send someone over to take care of it. Though winters could sometimes get a little cold with baseboard heating, and summers could get a little warm with only a wall unit AC, the apartment was overall pretty comfortable and affordable. I had a great couple of years there. I would recommend Borchers to anyone young whos looking to move to the Troy/Tipp City area.

2020-07-21I just moved from NJ to Ohio last week (July 12). The office staff was absolutely amazing!! Through long distance, I dealt the most with Renee and she was fabulous- above and beyond caring and meticulous! When I got to Tipp City, Amy was just as friendly and amazing. I put in a maintenance request late one night and the very efficient and friendly maintenance man was on my doorstep the next morning at 9:30! I adore my apartment and I adore the staff here! I can’t say enough good things about them all!

2018-07-14My husband and I have been renting from Borchers Rentals for over a year. The rent is affordable. The location is great. The office staff is very polite and competent. There have been some maintenance issues (to be expected from older buildings) but the maintenance staff work hard until the issue is properly fixed. The manager is great. He has rolled up his sleeves and dove right in with the maintenance team to help tackle tough jobs. The neighborhood is peaceful and quiet. I have no complaints.

I never had to make any maintenance requests. I fulfilled my lease and moved out of state. They made sure everything went smooth for me. 2017-08-10I lived at Borchers in Tipp city for a year and 8 months and I can truly say that it was my most pleasant apartment style living experience yet. The neighborhood was not only quite but safe for my kids. I have packages delivered often and never had one stolen or touched(Even over night) . Another part of living there I really enjoyed was the staff. The office staff always greeted me respectfully and politely always addressed any problems in a timely professional manner. Maintenance workers was polite and always there within a day to correctly fix any issues I had. I would highly recommend this community will always remember it.

2018-07-13Ive lived here for a little over a year and I havent had any complaints. Rental process was fairly easy and the staff was pleasant and friendly. The room was clean and even renovated! My neighborhood has kids but they arent too loud and Im very comfortable leaving packages at my door if need be. Maintenance personal is always fast and efficient whenever I need something fixed. Overall, I would definitely recommend them to anyone needing a place.
