I am an Ohio native who moved to Texas in 2019. The closest Bob Evans where I live is 2 hours away. So imagine my excitement when I went to Bob Evans this morning while visiting family in Northeast Ohio? The service was great and our food made me miss Ohio even more! Bob Evans is a staple of Ohio and today was a clear reminder. There are a lot of things BIGGER in Texas, but not necessarily BETTER!
Decor is nice, prices are ok. Food is edible but nothing to write home about. I believe, they, like everyone else, are short staffed, but the waitress was very friendly despite being overworked. I dont mean to say that the food is always mediocre, just that it was today.
Family went for early dinner on 6/4/22. We waited almost 30 minutes for a table . After seating us our server came to the table and basically rushed us to order. After ordering from the mediocre menu we waited another 20 minutes for our food. When the food arrived it was the most pathetic site I have ever seen. There was hardly anyone in the place first of all for the long wait but the food was ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE!!! Who ever the cook is , he needs to be let go!! Waste of time and money. Bob Evans atleast this one has gone WAY DOWN HlLL!!!!!
Quickly seated and was waited on just as quick. Had coffee and juice in a matter of minutes. My server took my food order when she brought the drinks. Food was out in a reasonably quick amount of time a day was hot and fresh. Everything was cooked perfectly and coffee refills were timely.I had the Biscuits & Gravy with a side of bacon.Good meal.
I got takeout today. Service was great a little expensive. But when I got home my order was correct but not up to speciation. My crispy homefries were barely done and I really dont want to speak on how limp that my bacon was. Im gonna have to take away a star from Bob Evans today 🙁
I DO NOT like the way they got rid of their trademark red color! Instead they substitute for some lifeless gray that makes Bob Evans look like a morgue. The food and service is good, even robust at Macedonia, but presentation is everything. And the gray outside kills my food libido!
My sister placed an order for Doordash, so I picked up. The only issue I had was that there wasnt a name or phone number on the receipt. I had to try and remember what our order was to make sure it was the right one. The food was pretty good, except the biscuits were pretty hard. I just put some butter on them and put them in the microwave for less than a minute, which softened them up again.
Terrible place to go. They were busy but there was no excuse for us waiting for as long as we did. A table of five came in after us and ordered after us and got their food before us. We ordered pot roast something that was cooked in advance. When we decided to pay for our drinks and leave we found out they hadnt even made our plates at that point. Just terrible service from the waitress to the cooks
Absolutely the worst service ever it took 32 minutes to prepare 2 sides of broccoli and one side of carrots in which the manager had admitted to me that they were microwaved I called other Bob Evans and they admitted to me that they do not microwave any food or vegetable. So this location exclusively uses microwaves which destroys the nutrients in foods just thought you should know
Excellent place for breakfast. We stopped here before our day long drive because it was next to our hotel. The decor is refreshed and new looking. The people are friendly and efficient. The food was excellent. The oatmeal I had was just as I expected and the eggs, hash browns and biscuit my wife had was also very good. Our waitress Jessica was excellent. The menu looked refreshed and appetizing. I would go again.
Ordered almost $70.00 worth of food this evening for curbside pickup. They forgot to put the entire order in the bag. My husbands sausage and cubed potatoes were completely burned. The salad wasMushy and not worth the 10.99. Very disappointed in Macedonia Bob Evans. Sad part at 515pm they were not even that busy.
Bob Evans is one of the best restaurant chains. We typically go to the Macedonia location. They have a wonderful staff, great service and great food. Sometimes we eat in and sometimes we get take out. Food and service is ALWAYS great. Good variety of menu items. We have been to other Bob Evans but this is our #1 go to. The other Bob Evans are also wonderful. This is one of the only chain restaurants that is consistently great no matter which one you choose. We have tried Bob Evans in other states and cities and always a good experience. If youre near Macedonia, you have to try them - if youre not close just try a different location. Great management!
Was my first time at this particular Bob Evans and unfortunately it will be my last. The 2 star rating is only because the prices were reasonable but when you think about my order as it was received I would say that was too much. I was so disappointed I even called to complain to the restaurant and their response was basically it was sorry next time ask for what you want. There wont be a next time
I love this restaurant. Eat breakfast there five mornings a week before work. Great staff from the top on down. Great food.Their only detriment is their corporate office policies that make it difficult for the staff and watch dollars instead of what customers want. They are Bean counters and only care about the bottom line.
Place was packed. Waited 15 minutes to get a table. Gave our drink order almost immediately. Ordered when our drinks arrived. Food came out just as we ordered it. Par for the course. Wait staff were friendly without being pushy. Always a pleasure to go there. Visit about twice a week. Keep up the good work!
Ordered meatlovers breakfast, the shredded potatoes were almost completely raw, so much so that they were crunchy (uncooked). The blueberry topping for the pancakes was not given, which I paid extra for. They center of the pancakes also were raw in the center. Please fix these issues, I havent had an big issue here before, nor do I expect one. Usually very good service.
Service was terrible. I ordered the two piece dark chicken dinner with two sides. The chicken came out overcooked and dry. I had to wait another 15 minutes for chicken to be re-cooked. My peach (sweet tea) was very unsweetened and bitter. Our server wasnt interested in trying to fix the awful tea that she served me. My husband complained about our experience, and the manager gave us a credit on our bill. We dont plan on returning in the future.
Very friendly staff and prompt service. ..loss of stars is due to food ..the rolls were very overly yeast tasting (Im not sure if this is normal since it was my first time there ) and lacked salt . I had turkey and the turkey itself was fine but the stuffing had what seemed like croutons (and they were not soft , they were hard like croutons youd get in a salad).
Food was good, service was great, only compliant was it took forever for our food to arrive. Some came out all together, a few items trickled out slower and a couple times we had to ask/remind that we were still waiting. We had a party of 11 so they did accommodate as best they could, I guess
The chicken was cold and rubbery, and taste like wood.My wife ordered the meatloaf and did not eat it, she stated it was not edibleMy daughter order a kids meal burger and Frys she also didnt eat the meat was hard as a rock and the bread too.We will not be returning there.
The food was good. The customer service provided by our waitress was great until she thought it was important for her to remind someone in our party that she asked her 3x whether she wanted hashbrowns or homefries. Needless to say, she ordered hasbrowns thinking she was getting homefries. The waitress attitude was very unprofessional when she deemed it her responsibility to place blame when we asked for the homefries instead of the hashbrowns. 👎 It seemed as if she had to go cook the food and was upset. Terrible service. No wonder Bob Evans are closing their doors.
I got the pot roast meal. It was great. I dont care for carrots asked waitress if I could have green beans instead. Very sharply she said no. I barely finished my sentence, we cant do that. Ive done this before, just said ok. Thats the only reason I didnt give them a five.
We ordered take out on the online system which worked great. When we arrived at our pick up time our food wasnt ready. They said they were down a cook, but this turned into a disaster. 45 minutes later we had our food. When got home some items were cold, we were missing all of our rolls, and one of the orders was wrong. We wont be ordering take out there any more.
Traditional family friendly place. Decent service and food but 4th star for always being reliable and friendly. Not to mention the coat being middle of the road which is nice.Side note: be careful if you need to turn left into the restaurant, rush hour times can be tricky.
Bob Evans is always better in Ohio. The one in Jamestown NY almost made me to never eat at Bobs again. This one had great food, Great staff and did something I rarely see any more. The waitress gave us a complimentary cup of coffee. Went that extra step and won me over again. Thank you
Food & service were supperb. Would highly recommend for dinner meetings or get togethers. As usual the service & food were above expectations. Even though the parking lot was full, we recd our meals surprisely quick. We thought it would be a while, but we got our foods just a few min after ordering. We look forward to dining here again soon.Would highly recommend this place. As always, I was pleased with my meal, as I returned & tried something new & Id recommend others do the same. This eatery will always be my favorite, since they serve breakfast all day.
I pulled up a couple of minutes before close only to them lock the door in front of me. I then called because all I wanted was a to go order of mashed potatoes and gravy for my mom who was in the hospital with stomach cancer. All she could eat was soft food and she loved their mashed potatoes and chicken gravy. The manger was rude to me and told me they had no mashed potatoes and gravy. When I tried to explain my situation the manager continued to be rude to me telling me they were closed. I will never forget that. I will NEVER set foot in a bob evans again. I will never purchase their products at the grocery store again. You have completely lost me and my family as customers forever.
Everything was just ok, waitress seemed very uninterested in us. Was gonna leave a 10 dollar tip but there was no tip line on credit card. Also I never got my sausage gravy, and could tell she forgot to ring it in, she didnt appologize. I am a restaurant manager and I am always working. Little of a let down
I dont usually eat fried chi Ken. When they brought out my wifes, it was dark like it was sitting underneath a heat lamp. I drink a lot of water when I eat out. My water was refilled once near the end of the meal. All the finished plates were left until after we left. My wife asked for peach tea. In the menu it says it is made with sweet tea but the waitress said she doesnt do that because it makes it too sweet. She never offered to remake it. Saving graces, they did offer to remake the chicken and the manager cut some off our bill.
We had a very disappointing and bad experience. Any individuals with special dietary restrictions, they(BE)didnt put too much effort to accommodate and/or fill the needs of meals requested, even though it was written on their menus. Plus they changed a standard item ( loaded baked potato, and added Salt ? ( Sea salt???) Baked into the item) and no notification was made, either orally or written on any of the menus. They then charged me for the baked potato and replacement item. Diet restrictions and allergies were mentioned to the server prior to the order. Manager provided a new bill where all said items were conviently put in one charge which was more than the said items ordered. I attempted to demonstrate to the manager the break down cost of individual items vs. his combo price he did acknowledge there was a variance and proceeded to tell me he would charge me what was on the original bill. I said no because the original bill still had the overcharge with the baked potato.Do NOT patronize the Northfield Bob Evans store. I did call a couple other locations and they acknowledged the unfortunate event that occurred.
I totally ordered out, mistakingly thinking they had a curbside service. I, at the time had my husbands slippers on because of my feet being so swollen and painful, couldnt go in. I called in and explained to the girl who answered. She told me that they didnt do curbside, but she would bring it out. I felt so bad. Then there was a small problem, which she quickly corrected. While I dont know her name, if she ever sees this and claims it, please let her know how appreciated her helpfulness was. On another note, because my husband and I both have current health issues and cant come in to get our order, we will not be able to use your take out services. My mistake was thinking we had just Bob Evans or Applebees.
Ordered a western omlet. There wasnt much in the omlet other than cheese and a few pieces of ham on top. The home fries that came with the meal were over cooked, borderline burnt. Lady came around with coffee seen my empty cup on edge of table, and because I wasnt her table didnt get a refill. Not once, but twice she did this. Looking directly at the cup and seen it was empty, but still ignored. Only thing good about my experience was the young girl serving us was really polite.
Carry out order was not correct, some food was cold/sitting out for awhile when we picked it up, called and the manager who was very nice, apologetic AND made new food for what they forgot, plus made new food for what was cold. It was really good and Im extremely satisfied with how the manager handled it. Definitely will go back!
Chicken fried steak was no good green beans were great mashed potatoes were okay my wifes chicken pot pie was good the roles tasted like they werent completely baked through the soup was cold and it must have been that they were wanting to close because we were one of the last people in the store I would not stop again this was not up to Bob Evans standard
I loved loved this Bob Evans.. Every one here was so kind, polite and not one time made us feel like running for the Door... This one should show how its done to the one in Mount Laurel NJ.. Mount Laurel NJ makes a customer feel dumb and belittled along with some pistol whipping. Thank you to this Bob Evans reminding me what real good home cooking is suppose to be and served along with great hospitality. Bottle it and sell it to East coast.. theyre rude here
I normally like my Bob Evans experiences but not at this location.I was served coffee in a cup that looked like they had just found it behind the dishwasher. After drinking enough of the coffee to see the inside of the cup I almost there up. I could and did literally wipe off the dirt and grime with my finger.I asked to speak to the manager and all he said was that the coffee would be compd.....I am going to try to not let this one bad Bob Evans store ruin my like of Bob Evans. I dont know if I can but I will try because Bob Evans has always been a favorite of mine....
The wife and I decided to go here for breakfast. And, once we got our menus, we were very excited to see that Bob Evans had finally brought back one of our old favorites, their Fried Chicken! However, it was explained to us that the fried Chicken was actually the Broasted Chicken that they drop in a fryer for a few minutes to get it crispy.Im not sure who taught them to do that. But, where Im from, that is NOT how you fry chicken! So, we passed on that option and went with our old stand-bys.The food was good. And the service was too. But, the Executives at Bob Evans should NOT be trying to pass off broasted as fried. At the risk of stating the obvious, its called broasting because its a different cooking technique. It doesnt even taste the same! What they call juicy, translates to my tongue as greasy. Ive had it before, when they first brought it out. And I decided then that it wasnt for me.So, needless to say, I was just a little upset to find Bob Evans offering of their New Fried Chicken, to in reality be a re-branding of what theyve been selling for years now. Broasted is NOT fried! They really need to change that!
First I’ll start by saying Bob Evans is a favorite place of mine to eat. But NOT this location. Two weekends in a row recently the food was bad and the staff unfriendly. The eggs were were stiff and they obviously microwaved it with the cheese on top. So disappointed. When I mentioned my disappointment with the woman at checkout she merely said “Oh sorry, please come back again.” NOPE I will not . I will travel to Fairlawn or Independence but NEVER Macedonia. Just drive past folks.
Was a little busy but walked right in an sat down waitress very polite she took care of us right away about drinks .there was 4 of us she came back in few.took are order didnt wait long as I expected would have to for amount of people there.food was hot an cook to what we ordered...

2022-06-26My waitress was Patricia. She had a pleasant attitude considering how busy they were. It took some time to get our food but once it came it was good. A little more seasonings would have been nice but overall it was a decent breakfast date with my hubby.

2021-09-10Food was ok my burger was cooked well but my fries were a little over done. The chicken sandwich was perfectly done and no complaints there. As far as the service goes the waitress was friendly but during a time where covid is still spreading and spreading very quickly it is discerning that the patrons are seated so very closely to the next table, especially when the dining room has the space for it. I’m giving them 2 stars because guest safety is obviously not a priority for this location.

2022-02-28We go to this Bob Evans regularly. At our most recent visit we had the pleasure of having Trish as our server. She is one of the most bubbly, and friendliest people I know. She always gets our order right, she knows what we want before we even ask for it. Shes very attentive and treats her customers like family. I wish that all of the places we go to eat would have someone like Trish working there. Shes one of shes one of the reasons we keep coming back!

2021-07-03The food was good and so was the service. Today, I did not pick up the banana bread. After a tasty breakfast, I just needed to relax and enjoy the day.

2021-03-26We’ve ordered takeout from this location twice and both orders have been quite lackluster. The first time the food was very cold. The second time they couldn’t even be bothered to peel the fresh fruit or take the grapes off the stem. The assistant manager at the location on 3/26/21 at 4:55 pm (Stacey is what she said her name was), informed me in a VERY perfunctory and, frankly rude, way that this is all they had to offer in terms of fresh fruit.

2021-12-04Ordered the Thanksgiving holiday meals for the holiday. The turkey meal was absolutely delicious. The portion size was excellent with tender and juicy slices. The traditional sides of stuffing, mashed potatoes and corn was as close as homemade as possible. Pumpkin pie spice made it a complete tasty holiday feast. Highly Recommend.
