Poor management Me and my husband been traveling and went in for dinner they said it be 15 min wait at door so we waited patiently no problem but got seated and sat 15 mins at table until got order done got drinks .Then about another 10 mins waitress told us it would be 30 to 40 min wait and they closed at 8 it was 10 till at that time.Waitress ask if we still wanted to wait which Im glad she gave us options if it would take that long.I told her that we wasnt waiting because we have already waited 35 to 40 mins since we had been there so we are leaving.Waitress said she apologized but a bunch orders just had came in at once and short staffed too. MANAGEMENT !!! Should had said that at door if she just had sat a bunch of tables and we would of left then ! Not wasted 45 mins for nothing thanks Bob Evans
Slow service. Weve been seated at our table for 45 minutes and still dont have our food. Theres only 2 of us! Getting up to leave in 5 minutes. Waited 8 more minutes.for this. And the eggs werent done. Theres simply nonteason for it. And they werent that busy. Honestly, if I had a second stove at home I could served these people better. Simply pathetic.
Not sure what was going on in the kitchen. They werent busy but it took nearly 40 minutes to get our order then food was cooked poorly and came out in waves, most in our group ordered breakfast and all meat came 10 minutes after everything else. Pics are supposed to be scrambled eggs.
Went before the Begals-Packers game. The man who took our orders and brought our food was rude, condescending and lazy. This is not just my opinion, but also that of other tables in his section who couldnt get him to take the time to give each of them a separate check.Worst service Ive ever received in a Bob Evans restaurant and among the top 5 worst of any restaurant Ive ever visited.
BLACK EYE FOR BOB EVANS - This restaurant continues to be mis-managed.Always out of food - not enough employees to operate. DIRTY - Computer system was down this morning and the nutty manager told us we could not leave until her computers were working. STARTED SCREAMING INTO THE PHONE AT BOB EVANS I.T. DEPARTMENT. Waitress apologized for her behavior. DRIVE THRU THEIR LOT AND GO TO CRACKER BARREL!
Bob Evans has really good food. The downside is they are sometimes understaffed but Im a patient person so Im ok with that- but if your not a patient person this is not the place for you. These people try their hardest to give the best service possible so its unfair to them if your not understanding enough to not be rude to them. The managers try to fill in the gaps but they are usually doing the jobs of 5 people and only getting paid for one. I highly recommend this place. Excellent food, fair prices, friendly staff.
I just placed an order for Thanksgiving Day and Eddie the manager there has been amazing and deserves to spend some time with his family We only have one set of family and grandparents and I know how much each is loved and I and I was under the impression that Bob Evans was all about family and if thats so you need to treat your employees as such And your employees would stay with you. Thank you so much for the time you helped me and you helped me and it will always be greatly remembered God-bless
John our server was fantastic. Cook was too slow and not accurate. Took 58 minutes to get our food and was not made to order. The 2 tables beside us. Came in after us, had their food, ate and ready to leave before ours came out. John was excellent on keeping the coffee full. Apologized for the delay. Had a great personality. I would give John 5 stars.
Food was good, but not what we order. Called to report to the manager and got excuse it doesnt come with carrots but the menu on line shows it does. Store manager doesnt know the food they offer. Had to show a picture and listing under it show pot roast should always have carrots.
While the food was good and our waitress was friendly and went above and beyond, the chubby girl working the hostess stand was rude and unpleasant. We asked to sit at a booth and she told us there were none available even though we could clearly see one. Ten minutes later she seated a couple who were clearly her friends at the booth she said wasnt available. She was not a nice person from the moment we walked in and she was more interested in making her friends happy than other customers. We will not be returning ☹
Our server was great but food was poor. The sausage on my bisquit was not crumbled. Just a hard piece...so hard and dry, it wasnt edible. Our food wasnt hot. Also, very long wait time. Is there some reason the employees call everyone honey and sweetheart??? Wont go back
Several items ordered when brought out ended up being incorrect, we decided to just roll with it and get extra sides of items the kids wanted but they took 25-30 minutes to get to the point where the waitress said theyll be out soon. so we decided to cancel that and just be done with the meal for the day. The waitress was pleasant but either hard of hearing or just wasnt paying attention at all, and the kitchen was entirely too backed up for barely having any cars in their lot.
Me and my family all got food poisoning from this place. Ate here with my family on way to Great Wolf. Was feeling great beforehand. I ran two miles that morning. Ate here at about 12:30. Got to Great Wolf Lodge at 3, by 4:30 went back to hotel room because I wasnt feeling well. I was throwing up everything by 6:30. My wife started throwing up around 7:30. My two young boys also threw up. We spent all night on and off the toilet. Felt like I was hot by a Mac truck. I love Bob Evans, but can never eat there again after this experience. We were going to Great Wolf for my 5 year olds birthday, and it completely ruined this trip that he had been looking forward to for a long time.
Everything was very good. They were busy yet we were seated immediately, our waitress greeted us right away and was quick to take our order. She came back several times to top off my coffee, she came over when someone else brought our food out to make sure it was all there and correct and we couldnt have asked for a better experience.
Server was nice and friendly if not seriously incompetent. Did not bring our water on one of the hottest days of the year until way after she took our food order. The food was up to the regular Bob Evans standards. We had to ask our server for more water as she did not check on us during our meal. Then at the end she brought us the wrong check which was over twice the amount of our order. We will stick with Bob Evans from Indiana next time.
Food was average and servings were not very big. Weve been there a couple of times and the floor under the tables has always been dirty. Service was pretty good. Our server noticed that my baked potato had been setting under a heat lamp for a while and the sour cream looked iffy, so she brought out a new one.
2/10/19 1:00pm Lunch time.1.ordered chicken dinner - came out and said they just turned the fryer on it would be 35 min2 ordered country fried steak dinner mashed potatoes, macaroni. - macaroni came out coldWhile putting macaroni in.microwave Started on mashed potatoes/cold as well. Sent mashed potatoes and steak back. They microwave it and steak was so hot I burnt My tongue and mashed potatoes where still cold.She said she’d just get Me new mashed potatoesDidn’t come and didn’t come. When she came by I just told her to take my meal off. -ApologizedNo butter served had to ask. Ask for more cream for coffee - never got that. Wow, I’d say a really bad day for our waitress and the kitchen. Manager did take off my meal but never apologized. Good part was my husband had a nice hot pot pie and I watched him enjoy it. Never again for us.
Usually very good. Not today very disappointed. We asked for scrambled eggs well done and they were running all over the plate. Manager took them back twice said he cooked them himself. Still real runny. He took one plate off bill should of took both since we didnt eat them. Ask us how we would of cooked them. Explained well done should b lightly brown not runny. I wish I would of thought to tale a picture of them.
I guess to preface this, we went to the Cracker Barrel originally and this wasnt our first choice, but we were hungry so we went for it.The place was pretty busy considering it was a Sunday morning but it was still painfully slow. It took almost 10 minutes just to get somebody to bring us drinks.I sat watching the all the different orders come out and just sat on the heat lamps. It just seemed the food runners (or people directing the runner) were totally inefficient. Food would sit at the lamps for 10 minutes at a time, which is unacceptable. So it didnt seem like the kitchen was slow, but the process of food to table was dragging. Plus you had the guy who seemed like the manager just lazily walking around and not really helping. The whole thing was just kind of bizarre to watch.Overall the food was fine once I got it. I didnt love it but I didnt hate it. I just dont think any breakfast meal should take 45 minutes to get, but thats just me.I dont necessarily blame Bob Evans, this franchise might just be an isolated case of inefficiency. With that Ill probably return to a Bobs at some point, but Id skip this location.
This is the third time in a row that they have been out of what my husband ordered. It was about 10 mins after we ordered that we were told they were out of what he ordered. He walked out and went elsewhere for dinner. My potato was overcooked and tasted funny. I got 4 pieces of broccoli, one of which was bad. This location seems to be going downhill food wise, but the service is always friendly.
Sadly just average. Loved this location when it first opened. Since then isnt as good... food quality isnt what it should be. Got carryout and part of order didnt make it in bag. They will be giving me a credit at my next visit but its still annoying. Husband said his baked potato tasted weird and his boneless chicken breast was just okay. There was a pineapple in his side salad which looked small considering the upcharge.
Stopped in mid afternoon for breakfast. We were greeted and seated quickly. Our waitress was very nice and checked on us often. Our breakfast was just ok, not the usual Bob Evans experience. Every place has an off day and maybe we just hit at the wrong time. I still like Bob Evans but this restaurant needs to up its game.
Harrisons Bob Evans rating is zero.Dirty floors dirty restaurant in general, poor management, sloppy dressed all 3 of them put together couldnt make one good one. Sammy our waitress was fairly good but lacked proper training. No one listened . We waited 30 minutes for our meal that was not how we ordered it. No one came back to give refills on our drinks. I had to go to the kitchen to get the crackers I had asked for.we will never go back. Paid $25.00 a big disappointment. We gave this restaurant 4 tryouts and it was the same every time.How sad... 😢😤😡🤬
Food mediocre at best. Took 3 cups of coffee to get one you could remotely term hot....for the meal, I had country fried steak, mashed potoes/gravy and carrots...my friend had pot roast....the only thing on either plate that was hot was my meat. Everything else was lukewarm. Totally did NOT come up to the old Bob Evans standards...not by far!!!
The ice tea smelled and tasted like cigarette butts. The table behind us said the same thing. Food was great. Server very good. When we were leaving Im guessing off duty employees came in sat at counter. They got up made there own soup and reached in the container and put shredded cheese on his soup. Didnt wash hands before doing so. Just thought that was so gross. And probably explains why ice tea was so bad.
Food was good, service was great. But it seemed the woman at the register didnt want to be there. She reached out to take my money with no greeting, no How was everything? Nothing. She told told me the amount of my change but no ,Thanks for coming in. Nothing. Just surly. That is not superior customer service.
This looked like a new restaurant. It was clean and bright. The food was good. I normally only have breakfast at Bob Evans. I wish they would put coffee on the the table so you could pour your own coffee when your cup is empty; otherwise you have to wait too long for somebody to come by to refill your coffee cup. If I have an omelet I always ask for it to be made with fresh shelled eggs because on one has ever been able to tell me if they add any pancake batter to their egg mix. Im need to eat gluten free because Im celiac.
Place was full of H.S. kids standing around...food came barely warm because our waitresses conversation was more important than our hot breakfast....WONT GO BACK...should have listened to my thoughts and went to one of the local mom and pops restaurants... this visit just reaffirmed that I will never set foot in this place again....LIVE AND LEARN
It is Mothers day so we expected it to busy, so no surprise that it took 40 minutes to be seated and another 15 minutes for the waiter to show his face. I guess its the fact that we repeatedly had to ask for things from our waiter (refill on coffee, lemon for our water) and when our food finally came, it was cold and disgusting (over cooked/burnt) that realy upset me. I also placed a TO-GO order and the waiter appeared to write it down. I reminded him about it about 10 minutes before we were ready to leave. When I asked for the check I noticed that it was wrong. When we first placed our orders we told our waiter that there would be 3 people on one check and 3 people on my check and he had us all together on one. I also noticed that he added the to go order on my check and it wasnt correct either! By this time I was fed up and planned on asking for a manager. When I got to the register it was manned by the General Manager. I told him that we had The worst service ever and before I could explain why he replied, Well, we are slammed today and we simply are not equipped to handle that amount of people. (Um, isnt this Bob Evens? Is this the first time youve ever been busy? Whose fault is it that you werent equipped to handle that volume load? Didnt you schedule the staff appropriately, Mr. Manager?) There was no apology. There was no, Let me make that right for you. Instead, there was only an inappropriate excuse from a general manager and he ended up charging me tax on my to go order. Needless to say, we will not be returning to the Harrison Bob Evens restaurant!
We decided to go to the Harrison, Ohio Bob Evans for Mothers Day. This was a huge mistake. The entire staff looked as if no one was in charge, and the saddest part was that the General Manager was present during this ordeal. We were seated in an area that was totally filthy. The floor was just destroyed and hadnt been swept in what looked like days. Our service lacked every aspect of your motto. The young man acted like he had a hard time remembering anything we asked for. Three times we asked for certain items and he kept acting as though it was a chore to bring us things like lemon wedges for our water, not bringing condiments we asked for,and disappearing into the kitchen;(which was in our line of site the whole time.) We saw him just standing there with other service employees playing around on there phones and really blatantly ignoring us,THE PAYING CUSTOMERS!!!!!!The food was another issue, but that is simply p#@$ poor management. We had to sit there and ask for our bill several times to get it right. We wanted a separate bill for half of our party of 6. It is as if the young man wasnt even trying to provide us with any Hospitality what so ever. Here is the kicker though, upon checking out we spoke to the GM. We expressed our issues about the services at his restaurant, and we were told, We have been slammed and we arent equipped to handle such a volume of people. 🤯🤯 It was the most sorry excuse attempt we have ever heard. When the Mgr and GM are having to bus tables and run food out to waiting customers while the wait staff are lolligagging around, it was pitiful. Yes it was a very busy day and every other restaurant s are slammed to. They managed at least to perform in a courteous, prompt way without making excuses. We are going to await a response to our complaints before we never go to your establishment again.
I enjoyed the food at this Bob Evans location... But trying to check out was a huge fiasco! As a manager of many years, when someone approaches your register to pay, you ask the person on the phone to hold on please or to call back when it isnt as busy. You never leave a line of coustomers who bothered to come into your establishment standing in line to exit while you take numerous phone calls...
This cook in there was horrible! How as a cook can you serve under cooked grits & over cooked eggs. My party was not happy with our Sunday visit at all!!!!! But our Saturday visit was very nice and I would like to give that Bob Evans we visited then 4 stars. It was a different one that day from Sunday.
I only put on star so I could write a review this is the worst bob Evans location to eat, the food it okay the service is TERRIBLE!!! I have tried to eat here 3 times in the last couple of months, our first visit took forever to sit down even though there was clearly tables available, server took forever to get our drinks then disappeared again before we could order so more time went by before we even placed our order. Meanwhile ther servers and the cooks are throwing plates of food at each other and dropping the F bomb and many other fowl words, and there was many girls that were obviously high on something the sad part was one of them was pregnant & forget trying to get anyone’s attention they all ignore you/ don’t care. I will never return the managers are terrible, employees are terrible. I will definitely be going to Cracker Barrel from now on !!! Save your time and money, don’t go to this bob Evans!!
I cant say much for their dining in service, maybe its good, but their carryout service is pretty bad! They forgot all flat wear, butter and jellies for our bread, which stinks but isnt enough for a low review. My husband ordered their new potato chip nachos, which are advertised w/ tomatoes, jalapeños, cilantro and chopped red onion, w/ a creamy cheese sauce. Well that is NOT what we got! What we got were thick cut potato chips smothered in MACARONI AND CHEESE! Nothing else...just chips covered in Mac and cheese. Yikes!
I got the surf turf and when they brought it out, the steak was so small and it was just a very small order of mashed potatoes in gravy and 3 pieces of shrimp. I was very let down. It wasnt even a real piece of steak. I have gotten this before, but they said they changed it.I told them, well, they need to change it back because I will never come back there and get it again. Absolutely horrible.
It was the worst place we ate at. The food not so good. The server was terrible. She really had a hard time getting the order out. There was no refills on the drinks. The other servers came over to help. They werent good at all and the sad part was it wasnt even busy. Would never go back there.
Extremely bad service, took forever to get our order. Once we receives our order half of it was missing, it took even longer to get the other half that was missing. The manager was not at all polite. It is bad when the customers warn you on the way in that he isnt very nice. Will not return to this location.

2022-03-04Its Fish Fry Friday season and I stopped by and ordered a Fried Cod dinner. It came with 2 good sized pieces of Cod, 2 sides and a choice of bread. I chose broccoli and green beans as the sides and biscuits as the bread. It was nice. The cod was batter dipped, flakey and crisp. The sides were normal for this type of restaurant and the biscuits were soft and cooked perfectly. It came with tartar sauce as well. The lady whom took my order was very knowledgeable of the menu and was quick to enter it and made side and upsell suggestions that I would expect to be offered. I had a great take out experience there. I will return.

2022-04-17We waited only 20 minutes to be seated on Easter. Staff were helpful and friendly. The food is good but not fantastic. Hash browns were overdone. Cold coffee and cream was great! The cinnamon-biscuits were a little crunchy. I would return.

2022-07-09I took my son to breakfast today while out running errands. We checked in with a 30 minute maximum wait. We sat outside on their waiting benches for an hour, and noticed everyone going in after us didnt come back out to wait. Upon inquiring, we noticed everyone that went in after us were seated and the inside waiting area was empty. Weve been waiting for food for another hour. This was not a good choice today.

2022-04-10We (my partner and I) waited almost half an hour to be seated and once seated we were forgotten about; we waited almost another 10 minutes and no one came by. Ultimately decided to leave because it was ridiculous. On our way out, another couple who was seated AFTER us already had their drinks and were ordering their food. We didnt even have the opportunity to order drinks. We wont be back.

2022-04-28Fruit was amazingly fresh. Burger and veggies were absolutely flawless. The only problem was (and this haPpens with each 3rd party delivery service-today was doordash) that the food is cold by the time it reaches us. Im literally in the same parking lot as your restaraunt. When businesses start caring Bout the quality of their food reaching their customers, they will work with doorxash to use thermal bags to keep ut warm up to the door like pizza companies do
