Bob Evans in other cities:
Very busy on a Saturday morning. We were seated quickly however we waited approximately 10 minutes before the waitress took our drink order. We waited an appropriate amount of time for our breakfast to come out, everything was complete and tasty as expected. The waitress was friendly and had a smile, check back with us a couple times and she was great. Bathrooms were clean. Would we go again? Yes, probably, but we always like to try new things. We consider Bob Evans a Safe breakfast option.
Me and my friends were excited to take a stop after not eating anything the day before, we had a sever named Dilma who did not acknowledge us for approx 15 minutes after being sat. I’m assuming because she has some prejudice agains black people. I have never been treated such a way my entire life. She had an attitude all throughout. After we ordered the person after us received their food before we did. She saw black people and assumed she was not getting tipped but why would we when we were judged the moment we got sat. If you’re a POC and receive Dilma as your server ask for a different one.
A gril that work there didnt wight on us right away she made us Waite 15 minutes and then told use to Waite a ninute for a table and wen rhe other girl came and showed use a table there were 3 other table ready the girl that said that where a thing on her heard that was released of her the server that was ours was very good
Good food. Great service. SANDRA was an excellent waitress. She provided a lot of good information about their new items. I am a burger & fries type of guy but based upon Sandras recommendation I ordered the dipping pot roast. I was not disappointed. It was a good choice. Sandra is 10 stars in my book.
Server was pleasant and efficient, kept coffee full. Pancakes were undercooked and soggy in the middle, Everything Scramble was incredibly greasy, eggs and meats undercooked. Had upset stomachs within an hour. Went to restroom on the way out and it was inexcusably filthy- see attached photo. We will never ever return to this location- spend your time and money elsewhere!
Rare incidences me and my little man get to come eat here and when we do it never disappoints. The waitresses remind me of back home. The hospitality is such a nice flashback to NC. I find it hard to find kind folks up here and this place not only has that but awesome food! Never have any complaints when I eat here, my son even ate quite a bit which is a challenge in itself. If youre in town or need a good breakfast spot just stop by this place. I recommend the country fried steak and gravy, the banana nut bread doesnt disappoint either. Also, I forget my waitresss name unfortunately, but you were awesome! Keep up the great work! I used to be a waitress myself and would try to make everyones day. You made ours! Thank you so much!
Called in an order the day before for pickup at 8am the next day. Got there at 7:55 and was told the gentleman entered the order in for 8pm. No problem. People make mistakes. The problem I have is that while sitting until 8:35 (current time), I have not been addressed by a manager and have seen numerous take-out orders go out. In addition to that, the people coming in to sit down to eat are getting their food while I’m still here waiting.Again, mistakes happen. It’s how you fix them that counts. This location has failed miserably at that. Very disappointed.
Missing side dish. Ordered online on their website, dinners with two sides, but when we got everyone’s dinner home, there was no broccoli for one dinner. Double-checked the receipt - the broccoli was on the receipt but not in the bag. Not a big enough deal to go back, but… Check your order before you leave. Otherwise, the food was good, ready on time for pick-up, and accurate, and at a reasonable price. Online ordering on the Bob Evans website was easy. A good choice when you don’t feel like cooking, and everyone gets what they want.
I just spent $10 for a quart of mashed potatoes and gravy! Crazy price for POTATOES! The gravy was so salty I tossed it. Who charges $10 for potatoes? And, doesnt anybody there know how to season food? Good farm cooking, even in a chain, doesnt require enough salt for a heart attack.and potatoes were full of chunks, no butter,or milk,or cream.gravy is naturally going to have fat and salt, but unedible.potatoes need some money spent on butter, milk or cream.not just throw potatoes in a pot and boil.Still cant get over $1 worth of food for $10, let alone a country cooking spot that cant cook with soul, and flavor, and some dignity.says a lot about pride and management
Worst experience I have had at a restaurant in a long time. Was told 15 min wait they sat everyone down that came before us and after us, waited for over an hr and then went up to ask what was taking so long and why they sat all these people ahead of us and there only response was oh we dont have a table available , and then proceeded to sit another group that just walked in. Had to walk out and will not be getting my business ever again
Hostess was doing everything she could with no help. Sat door, took names, rang out register. But the manager who was just bagging orders for pickup didnt even acknowledge the 5 people waiting for food when he was bringing orders over. A simple call of name on order or a who are you picking up for? I understand being short staffed but having a better example makes people want to try harder.
Host was no where to be found , had to ask if we seat ourselves. Then service was slow , had too ask twice for drinks. Then to pay standing at the counter and everyone looks at me and doesnt say Hey let me get someone for you. They just walk by or look the other way, Very disappointed in Service all the way around. FOOD WAS GOOD !!!
This restaurant needs to close. They can never get an order correct or can never have it ready on time. So many times have I gotten home and was missing some of the food I ordered. Today I placed an online order and was told 25 mins. I tried to pickup my order at the time I was told and it was not ready. I patiently waited as I was told 5 more minutes 4 different times. I finally told them to cancel my order since it was going on 45 minutes and I couldn’t wait any longer. The manager gave me $20 in gift cards even tho my order was $24. And told me he would check on my food and came back empty handed. I assume they never even made the food to begin with. I will be using the gift cards I pretty much paid for and will never be back. This place is awful.
Absolutely the worst management i’ve ever came across. My family and I we’re trying to enjoy a nice meal but it was interrupted by a manager yelling at his poor employees. Clearly the employees were upset by this behavior. It was not a fine dining experience definitely not coming back...would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. If there was option to leave no stars on this rating I would! The consistent yelling at employees in front of customers was very unprofessional and extremely uncalled for.
Im from NYC and went here with my gfs family who are local. A little wait to get the food, but understandable with only 2 kitchen guys. They are running one station combining takeout/delivery with dine in orders and had a full screen. Our server brought refills without asking and even allowed us to get a variety of bread instead of the usual 1. Food was correct and didnt appeared to be rushed thru just to catch up.#extraranch
Terrible Terrible Had gone there frequently before this pandemic and everything was good. After a long time went inside again for my meal and got a BLT - the fries were cold didnt eat them, the bacon wasnt cooked right was fatty, the lettuce was wilthy and they didnt even slice the sandwich bread thru. What a mess and I left most of it after just a few bites. Complained when leaving but no one cared and didnt suggest taking off the bill. Definitely wont be going back and wasting my money again what used to be a good experience and good meal was now garbage.
Went for breakfastThe server came over got our drink order. We sat and sat.Another table got sat and got their drinks. While we sat there still with nothing20 minutesWhen we went to leave, I let management know the experience we had. This was the only Bob Evans we will go.Not anymore..Too much competition.Bob EVANS IS NOT like they use be..
I always enjoy dining here because of the friendly staff, comforting atmosphere, and good food - there was one time when I had half cooked shredded potatoes here and I was disappointed by it, but since then, I have had no problem. If you need a quick getaway from the stress of work and a restaurant that feels like home, this is the place to go! :-)
Stood and waited to be seated about 10 minutes. Plenty of staff was in the area, just looking at us and the line to be checked out. Not one of the half dozen workers acknowledged any of us, nor did they call someone to help. Just looked and completely ignored. We walked out after the first gentleman waiting to check out started asking reallly loud for help.
Happy mothers day. My wife requested no tomato on her everything breakfast bowl. Surprise tomato. We waited for an hour when we live around the corner. I tried calling 3x no answer. Charged me for a cup of biscuits and gravy. Never got it though. No straws for 3 kids drinks. Great customer service.
Since Bob Evans was bought out, this location has gone down hill however the servers have not changed, they’re still great.Food quality, in particular the steak, is disgusting and I’m not sure how they can call it steak. Ordered a rise and shine to go recently and they put the whole meal in one container stacked on top of sunny side up eggs... doesn’t take a genius to figure out that isn’t right. They have also gotten rid of English muffins, why? They say covid. How can you primarily serve breakfast and not have those?
Food was okay, but the worst part about our visit was the service. Our server was too busy to ask if we wanted refills or anything while we were eating. All she was doing was standing around talking to her coworkers the entire time. Took her forever to get us our food, once she dropped off our food she never returned until it was time for our check. Terrible service. Mind you it was 7 pm so the place wasn’t busy at all, but she was more worried about her friends than her customers.
I ordered a Bowl of gravy with biscuits. Look like more than 3/4 of the cup was strictly dirty grease. When the manager came over he said he would get me another cup of gravy he said that should have never been served so he was friendly about it. I guess depends on the shift but I couldnt tell you which one is is the best thank you.
One of the better chain restaurants. Quality food at a reasonable price. Much better than Cracker Barrel. Good service. Coupons available online or sign up and Bob Evans will send them to you weekly.Update 12-2018 The food and service at Bob Evans has changed for the worse. Breakfast is still good but the other meals are not of the same quality they were before Bob Evans Farms sold the restaurants. This past weekend I tried the new Prime Rib dinner and it was cold. Obviously they are just heating a pre-cooked piece of meet. Or, in my case not heating. The service was terrible.
After waiting 10 minutes to be seated when there were clearly open tables, we waited another 20 minutes without any acknowledgement from anyone working there. No coffee, no water, nothing. We finally got up and left. Will never stop there again. A real shame this place is still in business when better places go under in Brunswick...
Ok, so this Bob Evans restaurant was supposedly the best rated one in our area & a few times within the past 5 years or so of us dining here it was pretty good. They recently had a remodel & we were curious so we stopped in for dinner. Not the best choice! Our server was very friendly but I think she was having a bad day. I ordered my favorite dish off the menu (the potroast) & the rest of my family ordered breakfast. My husband, daughter & mother-in-law all ordered the same exact thing (the classic breakfast) but their food came out different. My mother-in-law got eggs and bacon, my daughter got eggs and sausage & my husband got eggs, bacon and homefries (that were COLD). Hmmmm....This happened after we sat there for 10 minutes- ready to order- because our server had to check on another table REAL QUICK! She stood at the counter the whole time! When we called the manager over he said he would fix everything but charged us for my daughters pancakes that she never received and only gave us $7.00 off the total bill! Very disappointing! All this and they changed their potroast recipe on top of it! :*( me sad!So no more Bob Evans for us. At least my son was happy with his food. BTW, we still tipped the waitress. Nice lady- wrong profession!
I ordered from Bob Evans in Brunswick - a turkey sandwich and Farmers Homestead for carry out. It was absolutely horrible!!! The turkey sandwich bread and the fries were completely soggy as if they were soaking in water. The home fries were over cook & the biscuit was hard. Bob Evans replaced it with the chicken tender family meal. I had to drive 15 mins back to Bob Evans to pick up the food. The manager didnt refund me or even give me any discounts. I wont be going back anytime soon.
It was good but expensive. 10.00 farmhouse turkey and cheese sandwich and a 10.00 eggs and two sausage links with toast plate. $5.00 for two biscuits and a small cup of gravy. Almost $3.00 times 2 for something to drink. For me and Mom... Wow!! $44.00. for all of that? Way too expensive for some eggs and a turkey sandwich....Bob Evans, you need to knock yourself down a few notches....your prices are outrageous and you expect me to tip? Which I have 20%... Highway robbery I say! I could have cracked a few eggs at home for that....Once people realize theyre being ripped off they will stay home and cook too.... breakfast for the price of a steak dinner....
This is hard, we have come to this Bob Evans for 19 years. Once the original family sold to a restaurant group the changes became apparent. The menu changed not the thing you came to enjoy. Many of tge waitresses have been here a very long time and they do a fabouls job. Management just recently changed after a long time manager at this location left, very sorry to see him leave, now more change, food quality not near as good and the kitchen is slow. Bring back the old days and Ill give you a 5, for now wait staff gets a 5 kitchen 2 at best.
If I could give 0 stars I would. The bathroom was so nasty. The food was horrendous. I ordered a western omlette, it was basically all the ingredients thrown on top of a cheese omlette, no butter on the toast and very bland, burnt hash browns. The floors were so dirty in the dining room and there was no one cleaning even though there were many workers. The only good thing was the exceptional waitress. The girl running the cash register had a very poor attitude as well. Needless to say, I will never eat here again
Bob Evans in Brunswick, I dont think I can say all the nice things about it that there is. We have been going since my son was a newborn so he has grown up with the staff there and some of the long time customers. Whenever we go out of town for the weekend we try other Bob Evans and none of them compare to Brunswicks especially not in the service department.
Horrible experience, I didnt have the option to not give 0 stars.... Ordered the classic breakfast. The bacon was crispy like I ordered it so that was good, but the eggs were cold ordered medium with sourdough toast and brioche french toast. Toast never came, and french toast was so cold the butter just sat utop of it staring at me....When I brought this to our waitreses attention she huffed and stood by the window to get an order of toast which took 15 minutes. She then said they were making my entire meal over for me just the way I ordered it.25 minutes later my plate of eggs over hard no yolks visible at all came cold and toast cold, french toast partially cooked with soggy bacon and no grits. When I asked her for the grits please before she once again stormed off in a huff I informed her of how everything was and she left. Came back literally slammed the bowl of grits down on my table and stated that the manager was taking care of our bill! She began clearing my nasty food and I held on to the grits and said wait I havent got to eat anything and Im hungry at least can I take these grits in a to go bowl and eat them in the car please she stomped away and got a bowl and lid upon reaching our table as she sat our to go cups of ice tea down on the table she accidentally knocked one over and spilled it.Exclaiming that she was sorry but done, and wished us a good day and walked away.WOW, ok so we didnt have to pay but to have to have a headache 1) because you couldnt eat and 2) because of all of the stress!!!!I can now see why they only have an average of 2.5 stars.Whenever youre looking at a review take to heart exactly what people say.... Before you go I should have noticed it was only 2.5 stars and therefore I would have went somewhere else.P.S. Im still hungry...
Consistent with every other Bob Evans Ive been to.Update - one year later:Horrible. Has been constantly going down hill in quality. Food took over 30 minutes to get out, when it did, my eggs were over cooked (I ordered steak and eggs), my steak was tough and my toast was burnt (see pics). My wifes baked potato was just gross, it was a bad potato and overcooked (see pics). My son ordered a grilled chicken sandwich, came out fried. Lastn2 times my daughter came here they messed up her order and took forever to seat her. We wont be back.
Banana bread was my winner when I frequently went to Bob Evans in North Carolina 2007 to 2009 ... Then I moved to Las Vegas 4 years, California 1 year and Texas 6 years and accidentally found this Bob Evans and they are still doing great although far too many calories in everything, but I did enjoy the banana bread. Back home in the UK nearly all meals are under 600 calories and people live to 90 / 100 years old.... USA restaurants are generally the unhealthiest in the world and nearly everything starts at 1000 calories so I have completely stopped reading out in the USA 11 years ago... I only ate here because of familiar with the past and of course the banana bread and because I was on a road trip moving from terrible Texas to Massachusetts.
The absolute worst when it comes to ordering through door dash or any delivery service. Never has the order correct or the typical common sense condiments needed for your meal. Called up to speak to manager bc the order was wrong and missing things and they stated that maybe the doordash driver ate the food. Seriously!? What great customer service. Tried one last time today and didnt have the correct meal in it again.
B.E. should take eggs benedict off the menu. Their cooks do not know how to prepare it. The eggs were ordered over easy, one was cooked hard. There wasnt more than 2 teaspoons of hollandaise sauce on the plate. Service was very slow despite many empty tables in the room. They appeared to be short staffed. Well choose another restaurant for our next breakfast out.
My cob salad was missing a couple ingredients plus I had to ask for salad dressing 2 times not enough in those little white cups for a dinner salad. My friend ordered a dinner salad with cranberries and pecans and they said they no longer had the vinaigrette. I was going to buy the Colonial dressing to go but was told it was out and they thought they wouldnt have it anymore or it was going to be seasonal but they didnt really know.
I dont know if it was a fluke but half hour wait to find out there are empty tables once you sit down is aggravating. But could have been understaffed with servers or one called off but, they are friendly servers and food is good. Not sure they are the best breakfast in town anymore.
Was here between 7:30 and 7:50 p.m on 5/11/2019 and ordered a farmers original meal. The only thing I ever get from Bob Evans. I always stress to the server to tell the cook all the food must be well done yeah even the French toast/pancakes and not served in a flood of grease. 15 minutes later I get super wet undercooked scrambled eggs that are flat and saturated in grease, ok home fries and sausage links French toast that looked good but was wet soggy egg soaked in the middle. It was all drowned in grease and I asked for new food. They just took the plate the meat, potatoes and eggs were on, gave it to a manager and he put the eggs back on the range. I go to the rest room really quick. When I return within 2 minutes I see that yes, He only cooked them a little dryer and then gave me back the same plate of food with a pool of grease still under all the food. Disgusted by this lack of integrity and effort I left hungry and extremely dissatisfied. BY THE WAY CLEAN YOUR DAMN RESTROOM IT EAS FILTHY WITH PUDDLES OF PISS UNDER THR URINALS AND AROUND THE TOILET. SCRAPS OF TOILET PAPER AND HAND TOWELS LITTERED THE FLOOR AS WELL. DIRTY MIRROR. Was here one other time with the same exact conditions and the same exact thing happened although this time I wrote a highly accurate review of my experience for wasting my time twice in a row.
Given that it was Valentines day I guess it was a little busy... wen arrived way before any rush (about 5:25-5:30) and waited over 35 minutes for me and my 3 sons meals...Others around us, and when I got up to pay the bill, people that were waiting for carry out meals, had been waiting quite a while as well...Again, given that it was Valentines day, the manager came out and began making excuses and giving discounts saying well, its Valentines day, well get to you as he snickered and laughed....I work hard for my money and wanted to have a good relaxing dinner with my kids...this was far from...Our server was kind and apologetic...Im not one to complain . Id rather just pay and leave...This trip...Im not impressed...
Sausage was very burnt. Eggs were over cooked and the home fries were hard, dry, and tasteless. I cant believe the cook would send it out that way and the server would serve it. When I was younger, I worked at the Bob Evans homestead restaurant and their original Steak House. He never would have allowed a meal like that be served. Bob Evans restaurants used to be great.
I always enjoy going to this Bob Evans! The food is super tasty and even if they are super busy (like they were the other night... The server had been harried by other customers but was still able to joke with us and never forgot to check on us) the staff is great. In the end, good food + good staff = a good experience.
2 things: 1. I am a senior and want to order 1 piece grilled chicken meal, I can not eat two pieces. Go back to old menu so I can eat this at all Bob Evans.2. Because the grills have been changedAll grilled foods (chicken, flounder, burgers ) are burnt no matter how many times they are sent back!We have been eating here for 40 + years . Unless there is a change we can no longer eat at your store!
While checking out, we watched a waitress drop salad tongs on the floor while preparing a salad, pick up the tongs and then use them to finish preparing the salad.. then she put the tongs in with the salad greens for all the other diners food. EEEW. Told a manager, but yuck.
Was left waiting 10 minutes, flagged a girl down, she didnt know what was up finely Tina came to us and said she would take us while the rest still didnt know who was up. Thanks to waitresses with experience and to Tina a long time waitress. Dont know if I will be back anytime soon
Staff is young and very inattentive to table/guests. Expect long waits to order, get refills, and any other server interactions. Server overcharged us for our order and manger was very rude and disrespectful about the situation and refused to fix the bill. Will not be returning to this establishment, I suggest others try a different location.
We have been going to the Bob Evans in Brunswick for years. My wife and I usually have one of their breakfast meals which they offer from morning to close. My favorite during the summer is the Farmers Choice breakfast with eggs, home fries, bacon, and a strawberry creap.

2022-02-16We tried two other restaurants before going to Bob Evans and were so happy the others had long wait times. The food was great and they sat 11 of us within 15 minutes! The hostess was super friendly, attentive, and apologetic when she had to relay they ran out of Pepsi and the lemonade drinks. Most of the table ordered these so we were bummed but the alternatives were fine. Definitely not the servers fault. We ordered a variety of foods from burgers, salads, and breakfast meals (couldnt do that at the other places!) and all of them were great. The southwest chicken salad was amazing but Ill ask for the dressing on the side next time; there was a little too much and got soupy towards the bottom. Wed definitely go back. Averaged about $13/person including drinks.

2022-01-22Delicious food, excellent service - our waitress Vicky was wonderful. Very clean and well decorated space. Cinnamon biscuits taste like a carnival treat (in a great way), southwest avocado omelet was perfection, french toast was a dream. We cant wait to come back.

2022-03-11Service excellent. French fries so greasy that they glistened, so did the plate under them. Hot. Extra greasy. Fish also extra greasy. Hot. Grease limit exceeded. Cole slaw good. Rolls cold. Coffee good. Better $15 meals I have had.

2022-05-08First off I don’t know why they offer curbside when they clearly cannot support the traffic coming into the location. I ordered a small breakfast for one person at 10am showed it would be ready for pick up at 11:45am so I get there and they said it will be a small wait they are slightly behind. Giving them the grace it is Mother’s Day and it might be busier than usual I waited…an hour to find out my order had been sitting inside for who knows how long. Overall from all of my previous experiences here it’s on a downward spiral as I wasn’t the only one waiting for curbside pick up and there was 5-7 other orders waiting on the shelf.

2022-05-18We go to this Bob Evans occasionally. The service is fast and friendly. The food is usually very good and the prices are very reasonable We recommend the Pot Roast. They have seasonal specials so we also recommend the Summer Berry Salad. They have a new Southwest Chicken Avocado Dinner which is very good too. The restaurant is clean and the bathrooms are clean. This restaurant is conveniently located on Center Rd (RT 303), right off I71. We will return.

2022-03-02This restaurant is good for two people dining. your bill will be a bit less expensive than if you were to be in a party of 5 or more. The only reason why is that you could dine 🍽 in a more upscale style. The restaurant was clean your service is standard, though another place is unfortunately tainting the service industry and OVERUSING my pleasure .One can really only hear that once or twice, it makes the conversion process uncomfortable because it starts to sound weird 🤔.Otherwise its just Bob Evans and your down on the farm.

2022-06-05I love the family-friendly atmosphere. Its like eating at grandmas table. The staff are courteous; and the food is delicious.
