Excellent Food, Terrific Staff, Consistent Experience!I must say, it is nice to have a good old classic Bob Evans around. To me, that includes consistently good food, calm quiet atmosphere, and staff that likes to smile.The smiling thing...huge difference.I live in Twinsburg, and drive to this one because I like it a lot better. I also wanted to visit a few times before reviewing, and each visit has been an enjoyable pleasure.Keep it up, people WILL notice. Believe me, we do all talk about it :)~ Worth the trip, Not worth the miss - AL
Food was okay, wasnt quite sure who my waitress was had two different people stopping by my table. Never really asked how everything was, took a while to get our order. Scrambled eggs were not done all the way, when I said something to the cashier response was, I hate when that happens. Other than the eggs everything was good. I would still recommend trying Bob Evans.
The luster of Bob Evans has faded at this location. The food is subpar and bland. The actual restaurant is pretty filthy. It looked like the carpet hasn’t been cleaned in a year and there were chunks of food everywhere. Sticky tabletops, yuck. The staff acted like they were serving in a work release program. They were just doing what they had to do without much concern for the customers. Tons of chatting behind the counters. I was never even asked about a coffee refill on an empty cup pushed out to the edge of the table. I only eat here when I have to.
Do not order their curbside. We have ordered a family breakfast 4 times and every time we have ordered our meal is messed up. We asked for cheese on eggs, no cheese. No syrup for TWELVE pancakes. No banana nut bread. Family size of eggs was literally four eggs total…how does that feed a family of 6?? Was told today they are too understaffed to call us to make sure we wanted the cheese on our eggs?? You kidding me?? I get being understaffed but if you can’t properly take curbside orders then DON’T TAKE THEM. The reason we keep reordering is because their “fix all” is giving us a credit and not just giving a refund. We have had three different credits now and another was issued today. We don’t even want it at this point. GET IT TOGETHER!! This is absolutely ridiculous!
As always, bad take out food from restaurants during the pandemic. Food was okay, but the lamest part is about one teaspoon of gravy on my mashed potatoes. You can barely even tell there was gravy put on the potatoes. About 5-10 times less than when I eat there in person. Great job!
Food is always good, hot and fresh. The staff is usually friendly and helpful. Since covid I mostly order delivery or pick up. My only complaint is when ordering online through doordash or the Bob Evans app is you cant pick to add onions to hashbrowns or home fries. (But you can onions for eggs which is wired) And they wont add it with special instructions because theres a charge associated with it. If yall ever fix this it would be awesome!
Was there on 2/1/20. My wifes fish was not flavorful...but who orders fish at Bob Evans? I got breakfast. I requested eggs with cheese and there was barely any cheese in the eggs but the rest was okay besides the small pieces of bacon. I guess my biggest issue was the service. She was not rude at all I just feel she was not a good server. For the second visit in a row I had to go to the servers who were just standing behind the counter talking to ask for more syrup. The staff just stands in a circle talking. She didnt check until we finished our meal if we needed anything. Our server was Katherine. We searched the area and saw many places we could go to but chose them. Regretfully. When we got rang out the women asked us how was everything. We told her the service was poor. She was on the phone while ringing us out and just told us to have a nice day. Why did you ask then?
Service good, food was excellent EXCEPT the puny bun with the fabulous giant cheeseburger, generous amount of lettuce, & 2 tomatoes. One bite, and it fell apart, never to be able to be eaten whole again. There was a fair amount of grease so my hands were a mess, one napkin & no napkin holders with more on the table. Yes, I couldve asked for more napkins....but in the moment, it was a big mess. Easy fix, upgrade to bigger buns, Bob.
We ordered Thanksgiving dinner and was very disappointed as we ordered one slice of pumpkin pie and one slice of apple pie and we received two slices of apple pies. My dessert for thanksgiving was ruined. The turkey dinner was good although the cole slaw was very watery. This store always makes mistakes.
Staff members are very friendly and helpful. Safety precautions are in place. Face masks are worn by all workers. Booths, tables, chairs, laminated menus are all sanitized as soon as customers leave. Food is good. Although selection of menu items has changed a bit since pandemic began, there is still a variety of items to choose from. I highly recommend the Bainbridge Bob Evans where they DO treat strangers like friends, and friends like family.
We enjoyed our trip. Bob Evans has good home cooking at a most reasonable price. The aurora location has lot of segmentation which adds to the home feeling and decreases the noise carry over between tables. I got The Everything Breakfast and it was more than filling with solid textures and flavors. The coffee was a little disappointing because there were grounds in our cups. Both individuals with a tip can leave a great Sunday breakfast for about 35 dollars or less. We recommend for the Bob Evans name and food but also the speed of service. The downside of the speed of service is that they do not wait for us to ask for the bill. Instead they place it on the table. It was nice to see the manager on the floor as well. The downside, she was only present on the floor for complaints and not for greeting guests.
Waited over 30 minutes for a scheduled pick up for Thanksgiving and then was told they lost my order. When they finally brought it out they were so rude and slammed my car door shut. Worst service I’ve ever had! I’ll definitely be going somewhere else for my once or twice a week dinner. The excuse we were given was that they’re very busy yet they were still taking orders so they were overwhelming themselves.
We have been customers at Bob Evans for more than 20 years. The service, the food, and the prices are perfect for most families. Unfortunately, I can’t rate this organization with 5 stars because of the new dress code. The black tee shirts and blue jeans are not in sync with this family restaurant and may be sending the wrong message. My first thought was the employees were commemorating a deceased friend/employee. Also, these garments appear to be too warm for hard working waitresses and cooks.
Nice and clean. Big bright colorful picturesque new menu. Service was good. Food took a little bit to come on a Sunday breakfast time. It was quite busy time of the day I suppose. Bathroom was clean. We ordered breakfast classic. Two small (perfect size) mult igrain pancake came with it. Asked for some strawberry topping on the side. We werent sure what that was. Cut up strawberry pieces in a bowl of red liquid. Never seen anything like that before. Pancake was very good and rest of the meal too. Coffee was good. Pleasant experience.
Let me start off by saying I love the fact that they brought the chicken salad fruit plate back its one of my all time favorites. With that being sad The amount of chicken salad that you are given shrinks each time I order it and I order it probably twice a week and for 1149 I just feel its not a good deal the consistency of the amount is never the same.
When I have a bad day going at work, I crave breakfast. When I worked in Solon, this was the place I went to smooth over a bad day. Cheap, reliable, consistently good basic american breakfasts. It helps that the Bob Evans sausage is genuinely pretty darned good stuff.
We have tried this location three times in the past 60 days. Each time was horrible!. We had to wait for almost an hour each time to get our food. The orders were always missing something or not cooked well and the wait staff is the pits! Our last waitress stood at the end of our 7 person table, announced that the plates were very hot and proceeded to have us pass the plates down to each other instead of walking along side the table and passing out the food properly... i will not be going back
Went for breakfast, Friday morning ordered my favorite pan cakes!! Oh may God what happened to them? they use to be my favorite, thick and fluffy! not any more, they are horrible taste just like they came out of the box theyre very thin and have no taste and theyre very mushy, will never order them agin! But service was good!
Very poor service from the time we stepped in the door. The waitress was not knowledgeable about the menu, bringing out drinks that is spilling over the cup, didn’t offer refills, made assumptions about what we wanted although we were very specific about our orders... we spoke to the manager and she was very apologetic and took care of our bill. She was very nice and helpful
Bob Evans is usually a good place to eat, but not this one. Ive waited to review it, tried time and time again, but its always a fiasco. The wait time is terribly long and the service is medicore at best.Last time I dined in with the wife and three kids:Tried to order milk; but they ran out. Tried to order chicken tenders; but they were out. Asked for some kind of signature hot sauce, you guessed it; they were out. Couldnt help myself and made a snarky comment at this point and immediatly regretted it (realizing this staff may very well tamper with my food).Last time I ordered online:Very used to them not having the order ready in a timely manner, so I showed up 30 minutes after the website said itd be ready. It wasnt ready, but I didnt have to wait as long as usual. When I got my order in the car, I immediately realized the soggy melted looking wad of eggs and cheese was not the pot roast hash I ordered. Went back in and spoke to the manager (didnt ask for her, she was running the register). She made things right and personally whipped me up two (2) pot roast hashs and gave them to me in under 5 minutes. Apologized profusely and said that their cook had called off and she was doing the cooking herself. Found it odd that she could run register and cook at the same time. Also found it odd that food can be cooked so quickly, yet the wait time is always so long at this location.
Service was terrible. Our food took a while to come out even though all I ordered was a salad. We never got a refill for our drinks. The waiter has not been to our table in 30 minutes. It has been 10 minutes since we finished our food and the waiter hasn’t given us our check. Not returning to this place.
I had a craving for Bob Evans Sunday 2-19-2017 at 5:40 pm. I placed an online order at the Aurora Rd. Solon, OH location since I was in the area shopping. I ordered the Pot Roast Hash breakfast with biscuits. Well... I picked up my order & was kind of shocked that at almost 10.00 the whole breakfast was in a small container that a sandwich should come in. I also added the fruit cup for almost 3.00 & that cup was even more tiny. But even so, I wasnt totally dismayed UNTIL I started to eat my mini breakfast (& since that particular breakfast is layered) I realized from the taste that my potatoes were BLACK! I dont mean a little dark, not just overcooked, actually BLACK... Whoever cooked my meal HAD to see that they were charcoal black. That type of food prep is inexcusable. Period. The cook should be terminated for having the audacity to actually plate something of that quality to a paying customer. I wont be back.
The manger Jessica and waitress taelor she very rude at my mom on Mothers Day. We order food and then the cookers who made the food where done ✅ and taelor did not grab the food and bring it to us it was cold! She never brought the soup until she brought the cold food! Then rolled her eyes and was saying mean things to my mom! The manager came over and did not even offer us anything or apologize on Mothers Day!! Very horrible experience all around when there were maybe 2 tables in the whole restaurant!! They were talking behind the counter and didnt want to be bothered!! I made a complaint in detail with corporate headquarters! Totally unacceptable!!
My family and I attempted to go here for lunch today. From the time we walked in the door, they seemed reluctant to serve us. When the young lady walked over, she led us to a dirty table. My wife asked and to be sat at another table and was denied. The young lady wiped the table off with a towel that was soaking wet and smelled dirty, and put the placemats down on the wet table. My wife then asked if the table could be dried off, and the lady slammed the menus on the table. At that point it was best for us to just leave. I will never return here, nor will I suggest this particular Bob Evans to anyone else.
There food is getting more expensive and not very good anymore. I had turkey dinner and the turkey was old and terrible. When I git home I thought I was going to be sick. Nit going back.Too expensive for what u get.Ruby Tuesday is right across the road, excellent food.
This is not that good of a Bob Evans. The floor was sticky through most of the restaurant. Our table was sticky and had ants crawling on it. The waiter never refilled any drinks. My carrots looked grey instead of orange. I am basically only giving two stars because I actually feel bad for this place. Otherwise it would be 1.
Visited on a Sunday afternoon. We had a party of four, the place was not particularly busy and there appeared to be plenty of staff milling around. Our server was inattentive and it took over an hour to receive our meals after ordering. The server never came by to apologize for the wait of see if there was anything that they could bring while we waited. It was a very disappointing experience overall.
Worst Bob Evans experience ever! First off they dont wear gloves! Are you kidding me? I couldnt even tell you our servers name, she barely greeted the table and just asked us what we wanted to drink. I normally never write these seeing as Im a server and I know how it can be, but she had one table other than ours, drinks were never checked or filled or offered a refill, she gave her one other table their check while they were still eating. She forgot to put in part of my order, yes she didnt charge me but she never informed me of the mistake, hey I know it happens but you must always inform the table of the delay. All in all we both were very dissatisfied with this experience!
Good food, nice servers,HOWEVERI take exception to their policy that diners must pay at the register only--- it would be more beneficial and CONSIDERATE to allow other options (i.e. PAY SERVER AT TABLE) at least for patrons such as those who have disabilities which make it difficult for them to stand/wait at register to check out after their meal.

2022-07-17I don’t visit bob evans often and my date and i came here, i was just in the passenger seat. you can tell who all the regulars are which isn’t bad because i didn’t feel treated differently. my only complaint was that my food wasn’t hot and the potatoes wasn’t done, they were hard. my drink was delicious though, i had a drink that had orange juice with strawberry puree…tasty😋 i’ll probably just come back for dinner…big maybe.

2022-03-10Food was good, but the experience was soured by my waitress—I noticed that she was a lot less polite to me compared to every other customer. She was available while I waited to be seated, but did not seat me—I had to wait until a different employee was finished checking someone else out. She also did not greet me, and was very short with me when I ordered and asked for a box. She avoided eye contact with me completely, and did not check in with me during my meal—though she checked in with other customers in the restaurant several times during their meals with a much friendlier tone. I’m not sure why this employee seemed so against serving me, but it really downgraded the whole experience. This is not what I’ve come to expect from the Aurora Bob Evans, but I’m not sure I’ll be back.

2022-03-13Me and two other guest that was with me waited for almost 30 minutes for a table for 3 people and a party of 5 white women walked in 20 mins after us and was seated before us. Will never eat here again. They seat people based on color and age! So if you white and old you will be seated first! 👍

2022-07-07Went back for breakfast on a Sunday. Better service and still good food. Asked if they are open later then 4pm for dinner. Said yes but call ahead to make sure they have staff to serve you. Ok on that.

2022-05-17Horrible managers. Had various problems with my food and they wouldn’t fix them. I even herd them talking $hit about me from the grill. If you like burnt overcooked meals with gross silverware then this is a place for you. Waitress and hosts were nice however.

2022-06-18Wasnt the greatest. Our waitress was rude. Shoved the receipt past our food. Just wasnt a good time. Was with my boyfriend. I ordered blueberry pancakes. The pancakes had a ridiculous amount of blueberries in one spot. Boyfriend didnt seem to enjoy his food at all. Wont be coming back.

2021-12-21When planning a Holiday breakfast for the team I work with, I called the Aurora Bob Evans and talked to Meghan the manager. She was most helpful in taking my order. I ordered for two shifts and had pick ups at two different times. I can not be happier with the service provided. All the orders were individual with the names printed on each bag. ALL of the orders were correct! I know that this restaurant is under staffed and yet was able to take care of this order with care. Thank you Megan and your team!!!!!
