I would recommend working with Dustin to anyone looking for a boat. He took the time and had the patience to find us the perfect pontoon. He made the process easy and was accommodating on all visits to BoatMasters. We got everything we wanted and more!
Great experience all the way around! Noah our salesperson was amazing. Went the extra mile and made it all happen for us. Todd the owner made sure the team got us scheduled for a quick turn around on our motor to get us in the water on a Saturday. Introduction to the boat and delivery was handled by Steve who you couldn’t find a more knowledgeable person as we had a lot of questions for as first time boat owner. He spent 2 hours with us. Overall. Couldn’t be more happy with Boat Masters.
We worked with Noah to find a new watercraft after making the decision to move away from a vintage speedboat. Noah is a delight to interact with. He recognizes the importance of building and maintaining a meaningful customer relationship and has gone above and beyond for us even well after the sale was closed. He is responsive, follows up well, and he is informative without being pushy. While I did not work as much with him, I also found Mike to be just as attentive and service oriented. Overall a great purchase experience. We expect to have the same quality service experience as we head into the maintenance and storage season and will update this review once we have crossed that bridge.
I purchased a 2021 Chapparal SSI in middle of the pandemic and Dustin was a huge help in picking out the right boat, color scheme, trailer, etc... from the start. He stayed in touch throughout the process and has remained in touch after delivery. Good people make good companies and Dustin and his team have been top notch.
Dustin and the rest of the crew at Boat Masters did a great job in helping us with our new boat purchase. We drove a little over 4 hours and they had us back on the road in an hour and twenty minutes. This included a careful review of everything in the boat. We wouldn’t hesitate to buy from them again. We love our Robalo boat!
Transparency to customers is key. The whole process was lacking informing the customer of several steps. I could explain our whole process and each and every fault but no one has time for that. When arriving to boat masters you immediately feel as if your pulling into a pontoon junkyard, Do yourself a favor before you purchase, check out buckeye sports center in cuyahoga falls- you won’t be disappointed.
Purchased a used boat here with expectations of getting on the water right away. We ran into a problem with the engine and Dustin stepped up to expedite the parts and squeeze us into their busy schedule. Can’t say enough about how well they treat their customers. If you’re looking to buy a boat go check out Boat Masters and ask for Dustin. You won’t be disappointed!
The Sales team did an awesome job explaining everything on the pontoon boat, and I feel like we got a good deal and they took care of license and title, and are doing free delivery, and will show us how to navigate the boat. Would definitely recommend!

We just purchased a boat from Boat Masters Marine. Joe Hunt was amazing! We are in Arizona, and were unable to see the boat in person. Joe was kind enough to take videos of the boat inside and out, along with pictures. They even ran the engine for us, and video taped that as well. We couldnt have bought the boat without him! Joe Hunt was great, never felt pressured to purchase a boat, and answered all my questions. I received everything that was promised plus some. John in the service department was also very helpful as well.

I am from the Pittsburgh area and Boat Masters in Akron is the closest Bennington Pontoon dealership to me. I have had to call them twice to transfer my pontoon warranty into my name. The first time I spoke with Julie and second time Teresa, both were VERY FRIENDLY, Professional and helpful. With this type of help on a phone call makes me believe they have a extremely successful business.
I cant speak on the Sales side at BMM (I bought my boat used in 2014 from a private seller), but as far as the technicians and customer service go... theyre excellent!I get my boat winterized every October (with an oil change every two to three years), and a spring commissioning every May to make sure there are no wiring issues, corrosion, or leaks over the winter.As far as price - yes, I could probably save quite a bit doing my own service(s), but Id much rather spend a couple hundred twice a year - than ruin a $20,000 boat trying to do it myself! 🤷♂️ Its your call, but for the money... I think its a no brainer!
We went to Boat Masters to look at their selection of used boats and ended up buying a brand new, latest model pontoon boat. Our sales rep, Dustin Rohler, was awesome! Dustin was very friendly, he did not try to pressure us in any way. He was very knowledgeable and took the time to find out what boat would best meet our needs. I felt that the pricing was transparent and the whole team at Boat Masters was helpful and professional. Trish in financing was awesome too! Went into the dealership to just look at boats and ended up buying one! Great experience. Dustin spent time with us during the sales process and helped me get my everything I need to start boating— without overselling. He was available for calls and questions. Steve dropped our boat off at the lake and spent an hour with me going over all the features and do’s and dont’s. Then another hour on the water teaching me what I need to know to enjoy my boating experience. He left me his number and I called him a few times after we started using it. He was always very helpful. Great boat, great experience. I’d highly recommend

I bought my first Bennington pontoon boat in June 2019 and we love it. To the point that in October 2019 we went ahead and upgrade to a SX23 premium Tritoon this time. Joe Hunt one of the Salesmen was awesome answered all the question when asked. It is just a great place. They seem to really care for their customers whether in Management, Sales, Parts, Service and even the Techs in the Back. Would recommend to everyone!!!!!
I bought my first boat from them in 2009. My second which was a new one in 2013. We moved to North Carlina in 2015. We paid them to have Mike in service tow it down here for us. Now I bought my third new one but here in North Carolina, only because we wanted a bigger one. The sales and service from the place we used down here pale in comparison to Boatmasters! Miss you guys! I know youre keeping up the good work!**EDIT** We still wear our Boat Masters t-shirts with pride!! 😍
They will gladly sell you a boat but service is an issue. We have tried for two years to have an issue addressed and it is still not resolved. We’ve requested the owner Todd to please call us and he has failed to also follow up.
I dealt with them 10 years ago and the customer service was amazing. It was a 5 star company all the way. I recently had interaction with them and customer service was lacking to say the least. The most helpful person was one of the mechanics who explained the new 4.5 engines to me.
Weve dealt with these folks for years. We have been super grateful for their wonderful customer service. Even when we hit a bad patch in our life, they helped us with kindness. Recommended without hesitation.Loved the boat we got here, the way they maintained it, everything.
Have not dealt with this marina much. Definitely convenient very close to the new state park boat ramp. When I was there they were very friendly and helpful. Prices are fair. Also seen them at Cleveland boat show. Very nice at the show as well. Not my go to marina but will definitely use them when Im at portage lakes in need of a part or something quick! Definitely go to these guys. STAY AWAY FROM SANDY BEACH MARINA!
Teresa at Boat Masters is very helpful even when she has to step outside her department. Her willingness to learn other departments at Boat Masters shows shes a real team player.
Last fall I took my pontoon into Boat Master Marine for shrink wrap and winter storage. This was my first time dealing with this establishment however it was not my first time at a marina. I quickly was able to see that this was not like other places I had been. I acknowledged it as a professional place and felt comfortable trusting them with my boat. I spoke with Meg and Josh at the counter and they gave me several different options and packages catered to what fit my needs best. Being that they were going to have my boat all winter I inquired about redecking. The rough estimate they shot me was comparable to that of another marina that treated me as if I was a tire kicker wasting their time. Josh did the exact opposite. He took the time to help me pick the materials that best went with my boat. I agreed to have the new flooring installed. Josh later contacted me with a detailed estimate to which I agreed. Weeks later I stopped in to check the progress and met the technician Steve that was servicing my boat. My boat was in a large, beautiful, well lit, new building. It had been completely dismantled and on its way back together. Steve took the time to go over every last detail with me. He explained how he had replaced any questionable component from sub-par wire connections to old fuel lines. Steve is clearly passionate about boats and adressed mine as if it was his own. I left that day after seeing my boat spread out in dozens of pieces with confidence knowing that I didn’t need to check it’s progress again and that the next time I saw it, it would be perfect. Long before the season was ready to begin Meg contacted me to let me know my boat was completed. I had found one minor discrepancy in the final bill she had presented to me. She quickly made it right without confrontation. It was an honest mistake and she handled it professionally. Yesterday I picked up my boat and was astonished how great it turned out. The new modern flooring material and Steve’s attention to detail transformed my boat to the next level. It was my 15 year old boat but it was like a brand new boat. I will be using this facility again in the fall for winter storage and would suggest them to anyone who seeks professional work and peace of mind. Thanks to the entire staff at Boat Masters Marine as I’m sure there were others who I have not met that were involved in this project. If ya’ll could just provide your customers with warmer spring weather than you’d be the ultimate marina. Thank you.
We have dealt with 2 times now 1st time on a purchase and 2nd time on a service The first time they went above and beyond to earn our business and so far the service experience has been outstanding they are communicating throughout the process . They understand what customer service is still about unlike most marinas we have dealt with in the last 10 years!!!!! They will keep our business even though they are about hour and half from us and there are other marinas closer We wont take our boat any where else!

It was the quality of Bennington product, and the excellent product knowledge and customer service Michael Johnston had and delivered that lead us to ultimately purchase a Bennington pontoon boat. Please please please do not buy from them. They play games and will sell a boat right from underneath you ! The integrity of this pace is the worst I have ever seen ! If I could give negative stars I would!
Went to pick up our boat and it was not fixed properly. Pulled up cover and 3 snaps came off with it. Wet sand areas were not polished out, compound and wet sand debris all over my trailer (spare tire was basically white! ). Anchor cover looked very bad.The hired help who lives on site wanted to drop ship ship snaps to me. I told them I was paying them to fix the boat not me.Went back 4 days later to get the boat. They had mowed the area around my boat and threw grass all over trailer and boat. Anchor hatch had not been fixed. When I complained the hired help tole me to take it up with the owner and went into his house. After a 15 minute wait I took my boat and left as I had an appointment. Intended to call back work it out and pay over phone with credit card. Hired help man ran me down and blocked the road (Mcever Rd)putting many people in danger. Accused me of stealing my own boat Finally got Sheriff involved ( he thought they were idiots as well) got my boat but they did a bad job. DO NOT USE THIS COMAPNY. YOU WILL NOT BE SATISFUED.

Now that kiefers marina has closed and their dock spaces are gone. Boatmasters is completely gouging their current customers forcing them to spend almost double to keep their dock spaces. Horrible business practice taking advantage of people. Just thought you should know how the company really is.....id look elsewhere
The service department had my boat fixed and back in less than a week including the time it took to order the part. Very helpful went above and beyond to fix the problem my original dealer should have caught.
Justin was great to work with when selling us a new pontoon and Dave was awesome with delivery and the inaugural voyage to make sure we knew everything about the boat!

2022-05-26Dustin was amazing to work with. He was incredibly patient (we were tough first time buyers). He walked us through all the various aspects we should be thinking about as we described our intended usage. He even worked really hard to help us out when our chosen boat/motor combo wasn’t available, knowing we were looking to get out on the water soon. He knows the lakes in the area, and is experienced himself, so that helped a lot as well. We didn’t get any “sales” speak. Only the truth, and when asked for his opinion because we couldn’t decide, he simply shared his experiences on his boat to help us out.Couldn’t ask for a better experience. Shout out to Dave who did our walk through as well, and made sure we had enough fenders and extra dock lines before heading out. I used them brother! 😉Stop in, say hi to the pooches, and give them a chance. I’ll be seeing them soon for my 20hr maintenance. Day 1 in the rain and crazy wind and we got 4hrs into break in…. 😀-jack

2020-09-20If I could give them a 10 I would. The sales process was very easy, Noah Timberlake was enjoyable to deal with and answered all our questions. This is our first boat and we traveled over 2 hours one way to get here. I was not disappointed in any way. being our first boat, we had a lot of questions. We bought and did all the paperwork on a Thursday and the boat was to be delivered on the following day.We were very excited and the boat arrived on time and I figured they would do a walk around, put it in the water, sign the paperwork and leave. Oh was I so wrong....Steve Norton went out of his way to make sure we knew everything about this boat, he went over what seemed like every nut and bolt making sure we were comfortable. He explained the break in procedure, the steering, the seat configuration, etc etc etc...I mean there was not a thing he did not go over. Then he went out on the water with us to make sure we knew what we were doing and help us with any additional questions we had. Boatmasters, you need more Steve Nortons on staff. We will recommend you to everyone we can. Thanks again, Noah, Chase, Megan and of course Steve...

2021-06-30Dustin provided a pleasant buying process of a used outboard engine. Met before showroom hours, had all of the paperwork ready to go and had us out the door within a few minutes. Also did an awesome job securing the engine in the pickup for transporting. Would definitely reach out again for any boating needs. Excellent customer service!

2021-05-04I worked with Joe Hunt who was beyond accommodating. This was my first boat purchase, I had 1000 questions, wanted to see everything and would not stop texting him with many inquiries. Joe was so patient with me, he went above and beyond to show me boats that i would like and in my price range. Often times, buying a boat or car, you can feel pressure from the sales person and Joe was completely opposite. I will continue to do my business with Joe Hunt and Boat Masters.
