The rooms are a little small but they are awesome. The staff is great and very friendly and helpful. The restaurant has a very nice menu which I am happy since I didn’t have to drive anywhere the day closed confit egg rolls were good. And I enjoyed the Unami salmon. The only bad thing is that service was too fast and rushed. Would like to see them to slow down. My main course came out about 5 minutes after I got my egg rolls. The hotel room is very nice bed is very comfortable

I didnt even get to stay here because its their policy that the owner of the card used has to be present when checking in. My boyfriend bought me a room while Im here alone for an AA conference. Not only was this extremely inconvenient (had to cancel his reservation/lots of other hotels completely booked), the manager lady who I dealt with was very rude and unprofessional. She was rude to the employee there that was clearly brand new, and rude to me. Room was overpriced anyways. Guess Ill never get the experience!

Finally! A nice, modern hotel in downtown! No more staying out in Fairlawn/Montrose among all the strip malls. Way overdue in downtown Akron. The hotel is clean, comfortable, and designed well while incorporating the history of the landmark building. Staff were also great - typical of the Marriott experience.

Perfect choice, in town for one night and this place was such gorgeous. Congratulations to reopening after the pandemic. It’s refreshing to see how much you all care. Best wishes for the rest of the year.

Wow! My husband and I had a corner room on the 6th floor. It was extremely clean and comfortable. We had trouble getting to the hotel using GPS because of a road closure so I called the hotel and the desk clerk explained how to get to the parking garage which was very appreciated. The hotel has a restaurant with drinks and a limited menu but very friendly knowledgeable staff. There are several restaurants and bars within walking distance as well. I can’t think of anything negative to say! We enjoyed our stay and hope to go back.

I stayed on a Monday night in January and had one of the best experiences I have ever had at a hotel.Andrew was bar tending that night and was extremely knowledgeable with the beer and drink selections. Some of the best attention to detail and friendly service anywhere in Akron!I also met the Food and Beverage Manager (Baxter) that evening and he took the time to go over the menu and recommend the perfect entree. I was very impressed with Both Andrew and Baxters Skill level with creating mixed drinks.Everything from check in to check out was perfect. The Blu-Tique Hotel is a definite must try for a great nights stay, dinner, drinks, inviting atmosphere and excellent customer service!

My wife and I stayed at this hotel during its soft opening and all in all, it was very good. It’s located on a corner of Main Street and E. Market and was a former office building. You can tell from the hallways which have this ‘50s noir-ish look. I got the feeling it was the kind of place you might go to hire a private eye in the old days. But back to the current day. We opted for one of the suites (706) on the 7th floor and it was great, especially for $169 a night! Very spacious, corner room with a bath and a half, large table, desk etc. The bed was very comfortable and so were the pillows.Denette at the front desk was very accommodating and was always ready to help. We ate one night at the bar and, again, the staff was friendly and the food and drinks were good. Here and there I could tell it was not quite ready for full time guests but that was a minor concern. Overall, I would definitely stay here again. The continental breakfast comes with the price of the room and it’s average but, on the other hand, Americans overeat so if you want a quick bite, it’s fine.

This hotel is not even close to being ready for open. The only reason I give it 2 stars is for its kind but truly incompetent staff.Checkin was a mess and included them moving me into multiple rooms that were either not ready (everything from no curtains to no sheets to no locking door) or did not have two beds. They apologized that their system was new and they were still learning. Almost every time they had to reswipe my credit card.Later in the week there was a serious issue for which the hotel refunded our stay to that point. However just two nights later a painter came into our room around 1AM waking us and scaring us to death! Why the hotel would give a painter a master key in the middle of the night is beyond me but is just one example of management incompetence and gross negligence. No other compensation was extended for the remainder of our stay. There were many other smaller issues from elevator doors sticking mostly closed to clueless breakfast attendants but they were just part of the larger mosaic of the mess that is this cute hotel with so much potential. Save yourself an unbelievable story and stay at the Courtyard down the road instead. It’s not worth it.

A beautifully restored & updated gem in a prime downtown Akron location! We enjoyed the Presidential Suite - a huge corner suite on the top floor. Dinner & drinks in The 1 (hotel restaurant & bar off the lobby) were superb. Hand-crafted cocktails, gorgeous & tasty entrees (we had ahi tuna skewers & seared scallops with creme brûlée as a shared dessert). Baxter, director of The 1, is welcoming, charming & helpful. Overall, we can’t wait to go back!
