My family has been ordering from blades pizza for about a year, 2-3 times a week and they never disappoint! We ordered 2 large pizzas, 2 philly subs (in my family’s opinion one of the best we’ve ever had) and a couple cheese breads this evening and the entire meal was fast and delicious. You can tell Blades pizza cares about their staff and community. The staff are always very nice every time we come in and that’s something we haven’t found at any other restaurant in town. Met the owner, super sweet girl. You can tell she cares about her employees and the community. That’s a quality very hard to find. Blades is handling the pandemic great with safety procedures and extra cleaning. We love blades and will continue to order from them as long as they’re in ashville!
My husband and I love this place. We are frequent customers. The pizza is so good, the salads are HUGE and just how my husband likes them, lettuce, cheese and pepperoni with really good dressing. We are so glad this place opened up and that the food is so good. The waitresses have always been super attentive every time weve been in there and its always clean!!
Very tasty pizza. The owner seems to be very proud of her business and gives the impression that she truly cares about all aspects from food to experience.I order here at least once a week and have never been disappointed. The chicken wings are delicious..so much better than Triple Plays. They do need to add Teriyaki sauce for the wings to their menu though.Update 3/22....I order from Blades at least once a week. The past two or three weeks I have noticed a decline in the quality. The last time I ordered most of the pizza and garlic bread ended up in the trash. The sauce tastes different than when they first opened, the cheese seems to be different quality. Are they getting into a rut? Are they ordering in inferior ingredients now? Whatever it is, there is a definite difference from when they opened up to now. I really hope that the owner fixes whatever the problem is and the quality goes back to what it was previously.
We use to go to Blades pizza every Friday night until we moved to Lancaster. The pizza was great and service was awesome. We decided as a family we was going to start our tradition back up again. We made a visit there tonight Jan. 24 19. We called ahead as always and we ordered extra sauce on all 3 large pizzas. There was no extra sauce. We asked for the manager. The server said she would be out shortly. Again 20 minutes later she still hadnt came. After another 20 minutes passed still no manager. She never did come to see what we needed. We went to pay and still no manager! Needless to say we are not happy. We paid $41 for terrible pizza and to be treated terrible. We asked to see the manager 3 times! We just wanted what we ordered and we got just the opposite almost no sauce!
We ordered The BOSS pizza tonight and that was the first mistake. They were 20 minutes past the promised time for pickup and it still was not done. I elected not look in the box as I was running really late.I got home, opened the lid and found what looked like a store bought pie.I could not find a mushroom nor a piece of ham on a 12 pie. After feeling taken for paying 17.29 for it, I closed the box and went back for a refund.I asked the manager to find the said items and she had the same problem. She refunded the money and offered me the pie, to which, I gladly declined and told her, I can fix a better frozen pizza!Being new to the area, we have tried them several times and today is the last. The quality of the pie is equal to Pizza Hut or Dominos. So if you like to spend a lot of money for very little, this is the place to go!
This was about an hour after high-school graduation on a Sunday afternoon, and the place filled up quickly. Our group of 10 ordered pizza and bread sticks. Service was reasonably prompt, and the waitress accommodated our desire to rearrange tables for the group. Dining room was clean and well lit. Mens room tidy. Food quality was typical; not bad, not great, but acceptable. A nice little touch was the ice cream machine for people who have made food orders.
My wife and I just stopped in about one hour ago and were surprised by how great the pizza was. The pepperoni was similar to flyers old world pepperoni which I was told it was old world. The sauce on pizza was very generous which is something I dislike about other places. The cheesy garlic bread was great. If you want ice cream its free with food which is awesome for kids and adults too.
Very good food ,prices are reasonable and the dinning room is very nice! I had my sons birthday party there on the party side and we all had a great time, staff is always friendly the owner is super sweet and the food is always fresh hot and very yummy 😋Blades Will always be our favorite 🍕 in TOWN! Katharine is doing an AMAZING JOB😊
Ordered multiple times as carry out, delivery and dine in and have been very happy with the service and food. So far we have tried the pizza, garlic bread and an Italian sub which all have great!5/2/21 update: the first few months after they opened pizza was very good but then our pizza started arriving looking like it needed to be cooked longer. After about the 5th or 6th time in a row this happened, we stopped eating there regularly. Id say about 6 months goes by and we try them again. Same thing, pizza needed to b cooked longer. After awhile we tried them again last night for their subs and decided to try the pizza again. I will say my Italian sub was very good. But again the pizza was undercooked. It wasnt very hot either. I dont know if there using a cheaper kind of cheese or what but so disappointed. The pepperoni wasnt even crispy. We are the kind of people who order pizza atleast 4 times a week for delivery.
Pizza had very good crust. Didnt experiment much with toppings. Just had pepperoni and mushroom and it wasnt anything to lose it over. The French fries I ordered were very generic and bland, but the cheesy garlic bread was fantastic. The best part though is their free soft serve ice cream with any purchase. It was sweet and creamy and truly soft. Overall good experience, and fairly priced.
My family stopped in last night to try the pizza, we were excited that there was a new place in town where we could sit down to eat. We ordered a Pepperoni pizza but they didnt give us very many pepperoni , they were very spaced out. We were also very disappointed in our service while we were there. Our waitress seemed more interested in talking to other waitresses then checking in on us. We asked for a box but she never brought it. We wish we had better things to say, it was a Friday night but the waitresses should have been more kind.
New to Ashville and wanted to try blades Pizza. We ordered a large boss pizza, BBQ wings and an Italian sub. Picked it up and took it home less than two blocks away, when we picked up our food it was still cooking. Took it home less than 5 minutes and the wings were ice cold. The pizza had a lot of flavor but not enough sauce. A little disappointed because the flavors are there but the execution was lacking.
My boyfriend and I have been ordering Blades for a very long time. Everytime we have ordered the food has been really great and we loved it. We ordered tonight and got a very different experience! We ordered 2 subs and pizza. The pizza had barely any toppings and had some weird after taste. The subs which were philly cheesesteak subs were extremely disappointing! I have ordered them alot in the past yrs but tonight they were absolutely terrible. There was barely anything on them. They changed there steak which you can buy that cheap stuff in philly packs to make at home. There was barely any vegetables and the cheese was definitely different because about half way through eating it the cheese got really hard. Also there was this weird red stuff on it. It was really disappointing to have such a bad experience with a place that had so much potential. I know alot places are being affected by whats going on in this world but cutting corners will only destroy places. I hope they fix the issues soon. We probably wont order from them for awhile. Which sucks because we used to order from them every week.
Running low on hours of service drive time I had to stop at a nearby rest area. This turned out to be the silver lining in my cloudy cloudy day. I ordered the Philly Cheese steak and fries and I am so glad I did. Not only were staff members friendly but the food was delivered hot, fresh, and oh so tantalizing!! I mean my Philly had SO much flavor it was unreal. It actually moved me into a state of joy after such a miserable day. Thank you Blades for the perfect finish to a hectic day!!
Ive never ate here before so I called and ordered a pizza for pick up. The lady was really nice. I went and picked up my pizza a d garlic bread. There was a man there he was nice and social we had small talk and he showed me the pizza and it was great got home and ate it and I have no complaints. I like this place more than dominos.
Ordered pizza, cheesy garlic bread, mozzarella sticks, and crispy chicken salad for my family. Everything was far beyond excellent! I plan to be a repeat customer. My entire family LOVED it, including my picky like sister!!! The salad is so large and glorious that 2 dressings simply arent enough.. be sure to ask for a little extra dressing.. itll be worth it. Also, excellent customer service skills over the phone, as well as in person!
I had to aleast hit 1 star before it would let me postI was NOT giving ANY STAR(S)I WAS PUT ON HOLD FOR 20 MINUTES THEN WAS DISCONNECTED I CALLED BACK NO ONE ANSWERED I WAS JUST PUT STRAIGHT ON HOLD FOR ANOTHER 14 MINUTES WAS HUNG UP ON I CALLED BACKON DONT BELIEVE I WAS S RECORDINGIT WAS A MALE VOICE STATED WERE NOT TALKING ORDER AT THIS TIME!!WOW....
Its been really inconsistent lately. Idk whats going on with it. Ill order and say I dont want heavy sauce but I do want sauce. When I get it theres barely enough on it to even see but when I dont say anything about sauce it will be so heavy its dripping off. Its a 50/ 50 shoot on whether or not the crust is going to be done. If you order well done(dark brown) it is burnt I mean really black burnt. The amount of pepperoni is way less than what they used to give. It really pains me to not give a good review because we used to order here at least 1 or 2 times a week. Makes me wonder if theyve changed management or had a big turnover in the kitchen within the last few months.
This pizza shop is owned by one of my friends i went to school with!!! Im very picky when it comes to pizza and i tried it for the first and let me tell youIt definitely wont be my last. Not bad pricing and very good service! Will be getting some more soon! Definitely recommend this pizza shop!!!
I have been here probably two dozen times and the food/service has been fine. Today, however was not the case. We dined in at lunch time and were the only people there. It took 40 minutes to get our food! This is uncharacteristic of them and hopefully a one-time issue.
Server was very good. Pizza was average at best. Very nice facilities, clean and well maintained. If you want pizza and beer this isnt the spot for you. Ive never been to a sit down pizza place playing Sunday football that doesnt serve beer. Bill was $50, wife and two kids. No alcohol. Way to expensive for Ashville.
Was in the process of moving into Ashville, and got on Google looking for places that delivered. My wife and I were too exhausted to leave the house, haha. Found blades, placed an order, and shortly after received a pleasant surprise. The food is PHENOM! It is our go-to now every other Friday or Saturday night. Pizza is great, subs are great and dont let me get started on the Killa Kev wings! Some of the best wings Ive eaten and Im a wing connoisseur. Just enough HEAT but great FLAVOR too!
I liked blades until the last time we got food from here. Its nothing to do with the quality of the food its self its the people who work here. The manager the night we ordered was so unbelievably rude to us I was appalled to be honest. I wouldnt step foot in this place if I had too. Telling me she was right I was wrong. She didnt care what I wanted to do about the problem but she was getting off the phone. Then when my husband went in to just give the pizza back because it was wrong which one of the employees that was working agreed that it was not what it was suppose to be, she stayed in the back of the restaurant for 10 mins. She had another employee come out and tell my husband that she was very busy she he might as well leave?!?! Who does that. What type of manager doesnt try and fix the problem. All I wanted was for the item that was missing on my pizza to be put on my pizza. I tried very hard to keep calm and be respectful. I totally understand things happen and trust me Im.not one to complain but this was THE WORST service I have ever received in my 27 years of life. If you want to treated like a decent human being DO NOT GO TO BLADES IN ASHVILLE OHIO!
I really want to give Blades 5 stars because the service and atmosphere are outstanding. My server was extremely attentive.2 things kept it from 5 stars:-COLD pizza sauce for my cheesy garlic bread (colder than the ranch dressing)Being charged $1.79 extra for HALF sausage and HALF pepperoni. So...1 complete single topping pie for the price of 2 full toppings. Not cool.
Totally enjoy the whole experience when we dine-in at Blades Pizza in Ashville. We are weekly customers as I take my granddaughter to lunch before she goes to her afternoon preschool. I call ahead and our order, drinks, place settings and food are waiting for us at our favorite table when we arrive. They even have her favorites channel selected on the Television. Very clean, fast friendly new restaurant. So happy there is a sit down family pizza option in Ashville.Whether you dine in, carry out or have your order delivered, it will be good food with a smile. Check out their menu! Not to mention that if you dine in, you get free soft serve ice cream.
Really looked forward to a new pizza place. Stopped in to order take out pizza. Was told it would be an hour, should have walked but ordered anyway. Went home came back an hour later and NO PIZZA. I was told they didnt have an order in our name. Girl taking the order seemed distracted and I had to repeat everything a couple times. Should have known then.
We were driving thru from Richmknd VA and decided to pop in for some lunch. One in our party has a gluten allergy and it was refreshing to find somewhere in a small town that would offer a GF pizza. GF pizza and the regular pizza were both very good and the service was perfect. Highly recommended.
Being a resident of ashville, we were extremely excited to hear about blades pizza opening! I came in on a weekday evening. Was not very crowded, at all. We ordered two side salads, a garlic cheese bread and a large pep pizza . After taking our order the waitress told us our order would be up in 20 mins. We ended up waiting 45 mins just to get our salad. No garlic bread or pizza yet. After an hour I decided to go upfront and wanted our pizza to go. We wasn’t a fan of the service or the food, disappointing considering there aren’t many places to sit down and eat in ashville.
Help yourself. Its FREE!When was the last time you heard any business giving away something worthy for free? I was blown away. I know its just ice cream, but it screams family business taking care of families.A co-worker mentioned this spot. We finally found a page on Facebook with a menu. Ordering was easy, and finding the building was even easier. A dozen or more parking spaces right out front. Inside was a big space of tables and some TVs. Video games are in many corners to entertain all the ages. A self serve counter holds a Pepsi fountain machine (see pic), condiments, plates, silverware, and a soft serve ICE CREAM machine (see pic). 2 liter soda or gallons of tea (see pic) are available for carryout or dine in. Open certain days for lunch and delivery. We chose specialty pizzas and a sub. The staff was super friendly, and eager to answer all my questions. They easily split up our orders for separate payments.Thats when they clued me in, all guests can enjoy a cup, or cone of ice cream (see pic). Vanilla, chocolate or twist. Also carryout guests. So worth going to go pick up an order.I enjoyed the thin crust size (see pic), but found its taste very good, but not yet the best. I was surprised to see the commercial upright mixer in the kitchen for dough making. Very happy they dont have sweet sauce. It was mild, not full of flavor. I wish they would offer Old World Pepperoni. No complaints on the abundance of toppings (see pic). They fully admit online that they use canned mushrooms. My co-worker said the Italian sub(see pic) was okay, but everyone wants so much more extra filling. We were all surprised to find the mini salad(see pic) came in a styrofoam sandwich box. We expected $1.75 might get us less.**UPDATE** Now over a dozen visits later and things have changed. The first being the customer incentives. As if ice cream wasnt enough. They added Perka points reward system through the Clover app. Points for purchase add up to discounts quick. Social media promoting specials, and new items. Emails of discounts. A new modified menu for 2019 (see pic) with a generous lunch special section. Full meals for a great price.I wish their small business good luck. Theyre listening to the customers needs.Prices are very fair. Stop in and grab some grub and a cone.
Very good good service was great staff was very friendly just an all around great experience but the pizza is lacking has a really funny taste in the dough but I would recommend trying the cheese bread the wings are a little fatty too but the price is cheaper so you get what you pay for I guess.
Ordered take out tonight 3 pizzas and some wings, one was supposed to be cheese only for my kids and they all had pepperoni and sausage...called in and the same lady that took my order and repeated it to me said it was her fault and she didnt hear me I dont know how you get pepperoni and sausage out of cheese only but pizza wasnt bad kids werent happy and if we ever order again will definitely check before leaving with our food

2021-02-01Pizza is decent but service could use improvement... especially their call in ordering. Was placed on hold on an early Monday afternoon and drove from Circleville to Blades and still no one picks up.When I arrived, the parking lot was empty and no customers inside. When I went to the counter, I asked if they were busy and they said not really.. now I am wondering why they didnt answer the phone. I placed my order while I was still on hold and then just hung up.Not good business practice to an avid Google reviewer and to someone new to Ashville.I gave 2 stars for the pizza being mediocre and the cleanliness of the restaurant despite one table that hadnt been cleaned.Additionally, the customers that came in wore masks which is mandated.. but NO EMPLOYEES other than one had one on.Good way to have the business eyed by the health department.Guess Ill be trying other establishments in the area in hopes of finding one that works.

2021-11-13Stopped in Circleville to run an errand and stopped by Blades Pizza. Food was good and staff was friendly. A good place to take the family for lunch or dinner. Classic arcade games for the kids and free soft serve with dine-in purchases. Boneless wings couldve had a little more sauce but chicken was good.

2021-08-15Personal pizza are extremely small. Salads are very nice and generous. prices not bad.. Did take out order and the inside was very clean and tidy. Has video games and such inside like a small arcade. Staff was friendly and polite.
