A wonderful band ( Wish you were here), great atmosphere, great food and venue. Temps got a little chilly later in the evening but a great outing. Hope to attend more events here.
Outdoor concerts are the best around!Food trucks and alcohol.
Show was amazing on Saturday. Alsooooo I lost my car/house keys there. And even though the building wouldn’t be opened up till Tuesday, someone went out of their way to go look and got my keys back to me the next day. I am forever grateful!
We had a very enjoyable experience. First time this year that we was able to attend a concert. We love Rocking on the River. Well be back again!

It’s always very nice. I was disappointed that we were told that you shouldn’t bring in the sleeve that goes with your chair when all these people walked in with them and no one said anything. Also disappointed that we were told we couldnt bring our small dog and there were several dogs. Did not have service dog jackets on them either

I love listening to live music and iam so glad lorain did this feel comfortable there and the young lady who takes care of the restroom does a great job I really appreciate this
Everything was great until the guy with the flashlight on his helmet kept coming by trying to collect our trash. It was dark, we were trying to enjoy the last few songs, and that light was annoying.
More portapottys at concerts would be nice but other then that love it great atmosphere 😂

Great venue , free parking. Not a bad seat anywhere
Great place to see cover bands. Beer is always cold, workers are friendly and food selection has a decent variety. Bring a folding chair and get there early for a good seat. Dont sit too close due to the crowd that will form in front of the stage. Great night out for the $5 to get in (on most nights) Drinks are $5 each or 5 for $20

Price for entry, food, and beverages are very reasonable. Family went to see Mr. Speed and had a great time. Ton of parking, good prices, beautiful area.

Great venue for a concert/ the biggest party of the summer. Yes, RoverFest of course, what else? 25k people can fit in this field with plenty of porta potties, food, beer and other venders. Its basically a big field but theres some walkways that are nice but get trashed by the end of the night.

The Summerfest did not disappoint again this year. Good food choices, great vendors of all kinds & enough room to move about. Much more comfortable than when it was in Avon Lake. Great outing.....you should go!
Went for a rooftop dinner at Ariel Broadway Hotel - afterward watched fireworks in every direction. Food was excellent and owner was engaged and made sure everyone had a wonderful time. Hotel is historic and gorgeous. Very cool area.

Fantastic concert venue! Food trucks galore, plenty of beverage stations and lots of room for free parking. As an outdoor concert experience, it was one of the best I have experienced!
Could use more bathrooms, and take credit cards for beer tickets.

Nice outdoor venue setup. Rocking On The River brings in some great bands too!Its a shame theres no place to stay (hotel) near by. Two local bars are nice for after the shows (as long as the local bums dont panhandle all your money from you).
An absolutely fantastic, and beautiful venue for anything. Located along the banks of the Black River, it’s one of the most pleasant places that the city of Lorain has to offer. It’s also the home to an important historical landmark, and the last stop of the Underground Railroad. This park is a great place to visit and relax, but also a great place for festivals and concerts. Highly recommended.
Loved the concert, was disappointed that the porta potties did not have hand sanitizer. Surprising in these days. Should have at least had a station outside the potties. June 11th.

Went to RoverFest X here. Big open venue with lots of grassy areas. Its set up really well so you can have access to everything. Lots of parking around also. Good place to see a show.

Excellent and scenic concert or festival venue location. I came here for Roverfest and had the time of my life. There were minor electrical issues however it was storming. Other than that it was plenty large enough and accommodating. Highly recommended.
Love it. Its a nice 1hour drive for us into the city. FYI attendees: the color of a persons skin shouldnt dictate the type of music they like. If people could stop coming over to interview us it would make for a better visit. Stop starring at us and enjoy the show you paid for. Then again, we do look good together dont we☺☺☺; THANK YOU!!!!
The venue itself is great! Ive been here for a number of varied events. They should not allow promoters to reconfigure the property, ie: turning handicapped parking into VIP parking for extra $, and moving the handicapped as far from the venue as possible
The Black River Landing is beautiful and is a fantastic way to entertain just about anyone of any age. I love to see so many people in our community gathered to enjoy the beautiful Black River and all of the awesome music events, boat rides, festivals, picnics, and strolls along the water. I truly enjoy being there. I have been to many events there and, over all, people are safe and friendly.
Rockin on the River is always a blast! And Im looking forward to the International Festival this weekend. Great location. Well organized. Ample parking. A great time for guests of all ages!

With most concerts costing $5, great bands energizing the audience , and with the backdrop of the Black River and Lake Erie, you just cant beat Rockin on the River for a go to destination and really good time! And then, as an added bonus, there is the food!
I have fished here many times and enjoyed it this visit the deck was covered in geese droppings. The river was high and mud colour and it was cold, not the fault of the park so I did not fish but I will be back, but Ill bring a garden broom.

Love to go here, they have great talent always playing over the summer, and specific motorcycle parking. The fireworks of 2016 kinda sucked, could hardly see em over the bridge. But the ones we did see, were nice
Lawn is extremely uneven. We kept tripping/falling into holes and twisting our ankles. Not for all ages or fitness levels. And athletic shoes are a must. Definitely not for anyone with a walker, cane, poor eyesight, etc.
Rockin On The River events ROCK!!. Its the greatest outdoors entertainment Lorain has ever put on. When I was a teenager growing up in Lorain, all these events were seen in other cities like Cleveland and Akron, so I never got a chance to be there. But now, although these great groups merely played in small clubs and events, they NOW have a great opportunity to really shine and stretch their wings. Myself as well as others, get a chance to experience their great music and bands first hand without leaving town. The prices of the events are affordable, its fun and entertaining. What a great way to put Lorain in the spotlight, which has been a long time coming.
Very clean and no problems plenty of security and police. The restrooms are very clean with plenty of food and drinks for sale. Free parking and it cost 5 dollars person. Also special parking for the bikes inside of the gates under Pavilions you cant beat it.
Beautiful park tucked along the river. Went for summer concert series. The band and grounds were great. Disappointed that vendors didnt take credit cards but referred me to ATM. Nope, sorry. You just lost business. I havent used an ATM in years. Get with it and get tablet card readers.
Went for the Alzheimers walk. It seems like a good, clean safe place to be. Good walking track, lots of artistic options nearby.Only been here once, so hard to put up a fair judgement.

I had never been here before. Came out for the Brewfest had a great time. There needs to be more parking and for his many events that are held there permanent bathrooms would be great.
The Black River Landing is a very fun place for families and groups also just to go there to see your favorite bands or one similar to them its also a great place to see different types of stands and they show really good clothing and food that you just dont see and many places.

Every Friday and Saturday they have Great Concerts in the Park. Usually 5.00-15.00 to get in. Great family hangout for the summer. There is food, Beer and stands selling different things inside.
Went to a kiss tribute concert there. It os a very well done area nice speakers and there are serval convienant stands. Also, if youre lucky you can see a few river cargo boats go through its a fun sight to see.
Took the entire family to Mr.Speed (KISS Tribute band) the kids had a blast dancing around. Great food stands and the best music bands around!
We love going there for the summer concerts. They get some really good bands. Plenty of variety. Good selection of food vendors. Take your chairs.

I think this is a great addition to Lorain. With a little bit of transportation planning: Such as where you are going to be parking, and figuring out how you will be exiting the facility, it is an exceptional way to spend your evening.
Black River Landing is a formidable tract of land along the mighty Black River located in Lorain, OH. It’s used throughout the year for special events and is ideal for concerts, festivals, and fair events. It abuts the river and has boat access to the park along the riverbank. It can easily fit over 20,000 people but is often used for small, free concerts throughout the summer. It’s a gem for the city of Lorain and Cleveland could learn a lesson from the benefits of having such a place.
Rockin on the River concerts are great. Nice crowd turnout. Plenty of parking. Food truck options. They just could add another womens bathroom building.
The tour boat was a very cool experience and fun. And the boardwalk has beautiful views. The lighthouse looks like a floating castle from the distance.
It was the first for me. Didnt know what to expect. Parking is good. They have food trucks, beer, bathrooms. Aerosmith cover band. Draw the line didnt disappoint. Opening band My Drunkin Uncle surprised me with the variety of music they played. Really entertaining. Take your own lawn chairsand get their early to get a good spot.
Rover fest here is lit. Never disappointed, ive been to rockin on the river twice. And was cool. Real relaxed and good times. Honestly lorain should look into getting some more bigger names here.
I really enjoy going out there and just relaxing and listen to some good music and run into friends but, I do have a question What about bring in some Spanish ,music for all the Spanish people the reside here in Lorain County? Back when it was being runned by Mary Santiago she brought in alot of Spanish musicians and we had a great time. Maybe the Landing event should be open to it and allowing a variety of music...
So glad we have this beautiful park and venue right on the Black River and behind The East Erie Charles Berry Bridge. Really miss seeing the lights on the bridge though. They said they cost too much to fix them. :(
Great festival style music venue which host nationally recognized cover bands for many 70s and 80s Rock bands. Usually $5 for show, free parking, 12 and under get in free.

Huge venue. All the bands were awesome. The sound could of been better and lost power a few times during the main acts.
First time here last Friday to see Escape, a Journey Tribute band! Had an excellent time. Looking forward to seeing more performances here.

Oh grt they need higher up stage more space on the ground bigger screen and I think they should move the stage in the middle so ppl can b on both sides of it to many ppl n front of it if u was short u wouldnt seen nothing no where to sit if u got bad feet to stand long periods of hrs

Had a great time ! Was there for Rockin on the river . Very well kept . They even had bathroom attendants , they constantly cleaned and kept everything fully stocked .

2022-06-21Great venue to see the best tribute bands in the area. Reasonable food and drink prices. Plenty of room for the crowd. Only suggestion would be to keep folks off the concrete pad in front of the stage for the bands safety and so disabled people whom cannot stand can view the entertainment. All good otherwise.

2022-06-22Knowing nothing about this space, I surprised my husband with tickets for his birthday. LOVED this venue!!! Both bands were excellent, there were plenty of food & beverage options, the setting was beautiful & parking was free & not miles from the stage! We’ll definitely be back!

Wish You Were Here is my absolute favorite band that plays there. I think they should play once during and then be the closing show. Once just isnt enough. If you havent been youre truly missing out.

2022-06-20We had a very good night of music food and beer. I am so very glad to have a place like the Black River Landing and the music show so close to my back yard. We have enjoyed MANY evenings there with great music. I have recommended this place to all my friends, and some others as well. The only reason for the four-star rating is the lack restrooms, with a crowd of six to eight thousand people, the half dozen or so port-a-potties and four brick and mortar bathrooms the wait times were a bit much.

2022-07-09This is an excellent bargain for $7!! The venue is easy to access, has many food options, some clothing stands & things that glow for the kids. The live music was great!! It has some port-o-potties but also has some in door bathrooms at the Port Authority building.

2022-06-21This years show was amazing as always! We got there early and got great seats, the bathrooms were well kept, great variety of food trucks and vendors. Traffic was so smooth while we were leaving. Cannot wait till next year!

2022-06-21I attend Rockin on the River frequently and Black River Landing is such an awesome place to see live music! Great food, great beverages watching the boats on the river, seeing the sunset and listening to amazing rock and roll. My favorite venue !!
