Want a place to sleep and nothing else? Check into this hotel! While the website advertises a beautiful pool and fitness center, this is NOT what is available. In fact, there is a padlock on the door leading to this area because it has been closed for a long time. The tv takes about 10 minutes to simply turn on because of its age and there are other issues with the rooms. We enjoyed a good sleep but this is all this hotel is good for.
Convenience was key for us. The beds were very comfortable and hotel staff were pleasant. Unfortunately the hotel is needing a lot of work. Carpet in room had many stains, pool and fitness area had been closed for “maintenance” for over a year we learned. Ice machines were not working on many of the floors. Wallpaper and paint issues. The worst was the cockroach crawling across the bathroom floor as we were leaving!!
Very disappointed. Stayed for one night and was so excited about going to the pool. Website and room directory both say pool is open 9am to 10pm, but then the sign on the door said pool closes at 7pm. Oh well, figure I’ll go for a swim in the morning before check out.Got woken up by housekeeping coming into the room because apparently they were told our room was vacant!Went down to the pool the next morning to find it locked up. Then front desk told me it won’t be open until 4… after I check out… I’ll be staying somewhere else next time for sure
Positive: Clean rooms, newer decor and comfortable beds & bedding. I like the price and location most. It is often $---/night! Yet a higher end option than a 2 star hotel/motel. Location is perfect near lots of restaurants, shopping and CLE airport.

My girl Sheryl at the front desk, is the absolute best!! Just a very pleasant demeanor, and kind soul. Seems very genuine and happy to help. If you sing to her, she even sings back, lol. Thats so...i awesome rather then just look at you like some whack job out of his mind. Highly recommend them, if not just only for her! All in all they rocked it!!
Positive: Our room was updated, modern, and clean. Plenty furniture and space. The elevator ended up breaking so we had to walk a little farther to another one but the front desk staff was super polite and we enjoyed our stay so it wasnt a big deal.
Positive: I stay here all the time as its off I-80 which I travel for business often. Although its changed from a Holiday Inn to a Best Western, the staff is friendly, kind and helpful. Rooms are immaculate and they accommodate your room needs and preferences. Negative: Wish the restaurant or bar was open, but thats just Covid. I believe they still have room service and a limited menu.
First of all the front desk person messed up and gave me the wrong room, and when I went to the front desk to get it changed they act as if I booked it wrong but I know what my reservation confirmation says. Second the room was small and connected to another room. Third the bathroom toilet was running all night long didn’t sleep too good. Thank God I was only staying one night. I will never book there again. To top it off they charged me more for their mistake of my room. Stay away from that hotel in Strongsville!!
Will never go back. First went in and checked in and got a room on the fifth floor. Here to find out the elevator was broken. Before walking the stairs I asked the front desk when the pool closes they said 9. So we went all the way up the stairs changed and took my daughter down to swim to find out the pool was closed. (Keep in mind we called before booking and before checking in that they had an open pool cause we promised our daughter.) even after that we took my daughter back up the stairs and gave her a bath. And went to lay down and she started freaking out and said there was a bug that came off the pillow and went in her hair. Here to find out it was a tick! So we had it at that point it was 11pm and I went down and told them we were not staying there. The same front desk person showed no empathy. I even brought the tick down in a baggy. And I tried calling the corporate office and they refused a refund. This has got to be hands down the worst experience ever for a hotel. Clearly or I wouldn’t of went out of the way to write this! If your planning to travel in this area do yourself a favor and find somewhere else.
Booked there for the pool for my kid’s birthday and the pool was closed the whole time. The ice machine wasn’t working. The freezer in the mini fridge wasn’t working. The tv was extremely lagging and there was no channel guide. And only one of three elevators was operating. Big bummer!
Such welcoming staff. I had a wonderful overnight stay; out of Southern Indiana for work. Warm shower, TV and comfortable bed goes a long way. Special thanks to John and Greg for answering questions and helping along my stay. Highly recommend 🛏 📺 🚿👍🏻 👍🏻
Positive: The rooms are always immaculate, the staff courteously helps give you the room in which you would be most comfortable. Quiet at night! Quick jump off I-80. Staff also is friendly and helpful, always a good morning by the cleaning staff or front desk. Negative: Wish the restaurant within the hotel was open. Once you drive a 9 hour day and check in, the last thing you want to do is get back on the road to find dinner.
Positive: The guy and girl who work the front are amazing. The always remember us and make sure we are all together. Negative: The hot water is always a hit or miss. Sometimes its super hot and sometimes it just doesnt get hot at all.
Positive: The hotel is right off the freeway. Lots of shopping and restaurants near by. Negative: Bath tub doesn¿t have a clog. Heater is super loud. Tv takes forever for channels to change. The lighting is awful. It¿s so gloomy in the rooms and hotel. Mattress is worn and sinks in the middle. Awful to sleep on.
Positive: Ready check in/out, friendly staff, very modern/clean community spaces Negative: The rooms have a half-updated feel. The flooring is nice, but the shower had cracked caulking and pink mold growing on the wall, there mirror was broke, the bathroom light flickered, etc. For the price, its mostly what I expected.
Positive: I suppose the best thing that I liked about booking at this Best Western whats the price at $--- a night. What t Negative: The most disturbing part about this Best Western was the water supply of hot water it actually took 7 minutes before hot water came through the shower supply line! 7 minutes? Somethings not right in Dodge town in Strongsville on Route 82.
So the pool isn’t open. Was the only reason we chose this one. They said maybe this weekend but probably not. Told me to go to the rec center which closes at 4pm. Check in is 3pm. I would prob give more stars, so glad I didn’t pay full price.

Positive: I was so impressed! Everyone was so nice!!! The sheets were so nice! I wasn¿t afraid to sleep in the bed! I slept peacefully and customer service was amazing! I will always stay at this hotel when I¿m on n town! Negative: The buffet food was cold by the time we got to it.
Positive: My room was clean, great location to where I had to go , staff was friendly and some were very helpful Negative: The snowplows came in the parking lot and barricaded my car in could not go backwards or forward, told girl at front desk , she said just back out it¿s a light snow and there¿s shovel at the front door I can use.

Negative: The heater sounded like it was going to die all night, water faucet in shower was temperamental, tv remote control would not turn tv on; had to turn it on by tv, requested extra coffee and it was never brought up $ elevator 6th flr worked intermittently.
Positive: Elevator would not let me off at the correct floor. Staff changed my room to another floor. Staff was very helpful throughout my stay. Restaurant was only open limited hours and very little was available for purchase.

Disgusting. Bug found crawling on sheet. Trash in room that was suppose to be clean. Stained towels in room, stained curtains, stained pillows, mildew smelling room, bathroom mirror crooked, gym had no working AC. Do yourself a favor stay away from this hotel.
Positive: Staff at the front desk were all friendly and polite. Would have been nicer if there was a complimentary breakfast as most hotels provide. Negative: I had to request to have room cleaned and even when I did the 2nd time all that was done was the trash removed and towels brought in. I had to go back and request to have used wet towels picked up and new wash cloths and refill of toilet paper.
The whole reason we stayed at this hotel was to use the pool (its shown as the main pictures in literally all of their listings on all of the websites) yet when we got there we were told it was closing at 7 (even though the sign by the pool says regular pool hours are 7am - 11pm.Cant really mention any of the good stuff about the hotel since the fact we cant use the pool knocked this review down to a 1 star. Extremely disappointed.
I would definitely recommend this place 0 stars if I could my coworker worked here as a hired private security guard for the night & when I went to pick him up the front desk was very rude to me & said they had no security there at all but he lied & when my coworker came to me in the lobby the front desk was already trying to throw me out of the hotel because I wasnt rich enough for their taste & what he told me that the whole staff treated him like he had leprosy or something because they were pretty much rude to him they would not go near him always mean mugging him and everything else I highly recommend you stay somewhere else then this place if I could give it 0 Stars I would like I said before...
Everything is in ruff condition, card reader to the room was barely connected to the door the cards wouldnt work, the elevator was straight out of a horror film, just missing a set of twins. At least the bed was nice
Let me start by saying the staff were very friendly and helpful, and the room seemed clean and the bed was comfy. There were some issues though. The hotel has definitely seen better days. You can tell they try and keep up with repairs, but it’s overall a little dingy and run down. Wall paper is peeling, they’re a random stains on the carpet that you can tell just won’t come out, the caulking in the showers is a little moldy. Like I said, they’re cleaning, but it’s an old building. My biggest issue was that all of the amenities they advertise having aren’t working or available. There’s no working pool or workout center, the guest laundry was broken, and the buffet just wasn’t happening while we’re here (even though there was a printed out schedule of holiday hours, which is when we were staying). Because of all of these issues, I don’t think it’s a good value for the money and I would not stay here again.
Positive: the mattress and the pillows were especially nice. Negative: The porcelain around the bathtub drain had deteriorated and the fix was a bit shoddy.
Positive: Close to the interstate and the beds were very comfortable. Negative: You could hear the person in the next room blowing their nose! Definitely not very sound proof. The bathroom light is funky. I couldn¿t see very well to put makeup on.
Beds and pillows were comfy. Nice staff. TV was very annoying. Took 10 seconds to switch the channel and the channels didnt match the guide. Elevator and surrounding area seemed a bit dirty but the room was nice and clean. Breakfast was a little spendy - $12. Most hotels offer something for free, i would have appreciated them being a bit more generous in that department. They did have a bar with a full kitchen that had great prices for food in the evening, so that was nice. I was happy with the experience especially - it did the job and I felt safe, clean and comfortable which is what mattered most.
I read a few of the reviews that were pretty harsh. This was a decent hotel -- way better than those one star reviews make it sound. They got all new mattresses, and I slept really well. The workers were really nice -- the guy making breakfast even put together a box of breakfast snacks to-go for my sons hockey team because we had to head out to a morning game before breakfast started (our hockey tournaments negotiated rate included breakfast although typically breakfast is not included here and costs $12 each for the buffet). The hotel also knocked $12 off our negotiated rate since the pool was not usable (which brought the per night cost down to $110 per night).

Positive: The second (acceptable) room was a very small room but it was clean, the fixtures worked, and I could get the door open. No dogs barked incessantly. Negative: 1st room: rm door wouldnt unlock, squirrelcage on rm heater going out/squeaking, toilet wouldnt stop running, nextdoor dog barked & barked. No restaurant after 6 pm--but had a bar. Told no handicap rooms. Front desk staff rude/unhelpful. $12 Breakfast.
Positive: I chose it for the high rating in cleanliness and I was pleased. It¿s a tie between that and the friendly staff. Negative: Probably a bigger fridge for the drinks but otherwise, nothing.

Positive: The beds were comfortable and the room itself appeared clean. Bathroom not so much. Negative: No drapes that closed-only sheers-bright in am and little privacy at night. The water in the shower wouldnt drain,toilet would not flush unless the handle was jiggled, bath ceiling was all bubbled, there was no fan and only one light, no towels.
About what youd expect from a cheap hotel. Comfortable bed, hot shower, not so clean room and a 10+ year old TV. Got what I paid for, cant complain.

Negative: We called sat.morning for clean towels (not enough were given for Friday). We never had anyone reply to our request. So same towels were for use the second and 3rd day. No one answered phone, always justrang. TV didnt. Only 1 wastebasket. Pool closed
DANGER!! The main elevator broke 3 times in 3 days, which means theyre not actually bothering to fix it... That alone should scare the heck out of you... But theres more... when I was waiting in line at the front desk, another guest complained that someone else was given a key to his room... A stranger just walked right in while he was watching TV!! The worst part was, the girl at the front desk acted like it happened all the time... Unbelievable... And finally, they claim to have an airport shuttle, but they dont have someone to actually drive it... I has to spend $50 Ubering back and forth to the airport... STAY AWAY from this hotel until they get rid of the incompetent people who run this place.
Go and stay for a convention that takes place there twice a year and have never had a problem with anything. The staff is always very nice, friendly and helpful, plus the rooms are always clean.
Nice hotel. Bathroom looked like it could use a little TLC but the room was nice. We did have keycard issues that happened multiple times, but the front desk always helped us out.
Their web page falsely advertises an indoor pool and rec. Ctr. In reality, both are closed. They have a business center but both computers are broken. Usually Best Western includes breakfast. Not here! Its $12. The faucet in the shower is broken, and finally, the security door leading into the hotel, closest to our room, did not work. Onsite management needs classes in how to manage and customer service. Just go elsewhere!
Positive: Perfect place to stop to break up a long road trip. Location was great, neat enough to restaurants and shops. Negative: Hotel room was fine. Beds clean & comfortable. The floors were a little dirty, but again we just stayed one night to rest.
Hotel smelled like weed, they split our team up instead of keeping us all together, charged more then the rooms were worth didnt include breakfast or even let us have a room for our team to eat pizza together had to hang out in the lobby hall, pool was closed, they didnt shovel or salt the sidewalks it was very icy and no carpets so from the shoe on your boots you would slide coming thru front door almost fell a couple of times and no wet floor sign would be a nice lawsuit

Attended the OCA Extravaganza in November and the place was quite good. I had trouble with the door key card but was able to get in and out with some persistent intense effort. Food at the hotel bar was not all that great, but it was better than starving. I enjoyed my visit. Will come back again.
Positive: The waiters and bartenders were amazing, considering that no tips were being added to the room charges. Negative: Arrived afternoon and called for the shuttle. We were told we needed 24 hours notice to get the shuttle by a very rude front desk. Had a 7:00am flight out on Sunday. No shuttle until 8:00am. No soap. It was backordered! People stuck in elevator.

Positive: The location was awesome! Close to plenty of restaurants, shopping, and easy access to downtown. Easy to get around and plenty to do less than a mile from the hotel. Very convenient place to stay. Negative: The hotel was dated, staff were very slow and no one was manning the front desk at 3pm check out time. The chair was stained in our room and the toilet and bathtub were worn out.
Positive: The price was reasonable. The room was clean, staff was as helpful as they could be. Negative: 2 washers and dryers but only 1 of each worked. Quarters needed to operate but hotel didn¿t supply change. Shower had broken temperature adjustment. So only 2 settings. Cold and scalding Air/heat did not work so I slept in a stagnant room But chea

Positive: It was a nice hotel, close to restaurants and freeway. Negative: We continuously had issues with our room key and being able to open the hotel room door. We had to call for maintenance about 3 to 4 times for an overnight stay. I would have much rather been switched to another room for the inconvenience.

Negative: For a 3.5 star hotel, I expected more. The bathtub faucet was old and needed repair. The when showering, the tub filled up with water above my ankles. Gross.
I get the place is short staffed. But not being able to check into my until 9 is a problem. Having wet sheets is a problem. The bad service is a problem.

This hotel is absolutely the worst hotel Ive ever stayed in..no coffee in the lobby, $12 dollars for a breakfast that has the same food you get for free at all other hotels...front desk was no help in getting fresh coffee.. staff in general is rude.. online and reservation said the pool was open, its not open.

I have asthma and am sensitive to smoke so this made walking past the front desk and being in the elevator with unmasked individuals uncomfortable.

Negative: Needs updated, room had a musky smell. Door between adjoining room was not sufficient as we could hear the child in that room as he screamed and cried for hours. We did not request adjoining rooms, just happened to placed in one.

Positive: The people working the front desk was very helpful and nice. Negative: The room was dirty there was crumbs on the carpet and food or something in the crease around the mattress.The shower wasnt very clean.and the bathroom floor was dirty also.

Negative: This was another hotel that Holiday Inn purchased. Elevators are placed at the one side of building. However, what really got me was that I was told that the front desk person had to check my rate to see if we would be able to get a bagged breakfast.
Positive: Everything was great but the staff being so kind was the best part. Negative: The only thing I would change is getting locked out while in the court yard. I was told the key thing is temperamental and doesn¿t work sometimes.
Negative: Hotel wasnt a 3.5 star.. I would rate it a 2.5... hotel also charged me for a charge that I didnt know about. It also didnt refund me the $100. Deposit, I had to contact the manager for the refund and about the $16 plus charge.. Manager was very nice.
Positive: The room was very nice and the hotel was very quiet. Negative: The man at the front desk was extremely rude. I interacted with him twice and both times he was not welcoming.

Positive: Very near the highway. Easy access to Strongville locations. Negative: Dust on headboard, mildew in shower, blinking LED lights around bathroom mirror, stained ceiling tiles, elevators not working, floor 2 light not working in elevator.
Positive: Location Negative: Shower nozzle was loose. Water varied from warm to cool. Ice maker in hall making a noise all night. Cracker left in the sheet on one of the beds.
Positive: Cost was $---/night for 7 days Negative: Shower faucet was broken that needed fixed and th pool was broken, so there was no pool. The restaurant was closed except for preorder breakfast and take out dinner.

Positive: Only positive about the hotel is the location, do no recommend this hotel you¿re better off sleeping in your vehicle than staying at this hotel. Negative: The hotel was definitely a 0 star hotel, the room was dirty, no clean towels, when they finally gave us towel they were old pool towels and rough hand towels from Walmart.
Nasty hotel dirty towels left hanging over the shower, hair everywhere. Cable did not work and none of the channels that did match their channel listing.
Negative: Staff was not friendly. Free breakfast has been extorted to $12 for a bag breakfast. The laundry doesnt work on either floor. One employee said maintenance would get on it at 8AM when they arrived while another indicated no intention to fix.

Negative: So many things were broken. The pool has been closed over a year for maintenance, the exercise room closed, ice machine on our floor broken, the one on floor below us broken, the elevator button to go down broken and the list goes on.

Booked this hotel for pool and workout room and the doors were locked for both saying out of order

2022-06-14I have been to this hotel on more than one occasion. The rooms have consistently been clean and functioning well. Cleanliness is super super big for me. The staff is very friendly- from the front desk to the housekeepers that wish you a good morning and genuinely smile as you walk by. The breakfast buffet is good too- eggs, sausage, bacon, potatoes, bread, etc. The restaurant is not the gourmet type but the prices are reasonable if you want something simple to snack on. They have a full bar :). There’s a mall and places to eat and shop in the area. It’s a pet friendly hotel and I’ve seen the dogs being lead in and out. I don’t know how they do it logistically but I’ve never entered a room or area of the hotel that smells like a dog has been there. Indoor pool is a nice size. I will continue choosing this hotel when traveling to Ohio.

2022-06-1215 minute drive from airport. Driver was very friendly and courteous. Breakfast was decent but no wow factor. Room was clean and comfy but got locked out after checkout as I was entered improperly for 2 night stay. TV in room was buggy, had to unplug and reply to get working. TV remote had to enter two clicks most times. Ventilation fan in bathroom was constantly running even though switch was off. Staff were the winner here, great service.

2022-06-12The front desk and housekeeping staff were awesome, they were super friendly and accommodating!! The room was clean and the air conditioning worked really well. The only thing that I can see would be a good change is updated television, it took awhile to boot up at each channel. I have stayed here twice now and I would stay here again.

2022-06-19The staff was friendly. The room AC works great, bed comfy. The hotel is old, pool closes early. The breakfast is terrible. There was a huge party downstairs, it moved to the room next to us, we ended up leaving at 1:00 AM due to noise. Front desk didnt seem to care when we complained.Not worth the money.

2022-04-19Positive: The hotel had great location and I will stay there again. The staff at the front desk were great as well. The room was decent and served its purpose. There are lots of things around as well. Negative: The AC/Heater was outdated and would run sporadically. It would not respond to usual changes as...so that is a downside, but otherwise...it is not as bad as it appeared based on online reviews prior to my stay.

2022-07-03We arrived after traveling 13 hours. Our first room, yes we had to try twice, was flat out dirty. Glitter and crumbs on the floor. There was blood, REAL BLOOD, on the bath tub. They decided to move us. In the second room the floors were clean and no crime scene in the bathroom. However, there was a bra hanging on the bathroom door, it had sweat stains.So bad, worst hotel stay I have had in a while. But memories were made.

2022-05-24Went there for an event ....floors were dirty and air conditioning was out. But they brought out fans. Very accommodating! Visited the restaurant and bar afterwards. The food was surprisingly good and inexpensive. The double burger with cheese was tasty. Everyone else had great food too.

2022-04-25Room was clean, bed was comfy, staff was pleasant. The pool was closed for maintenance which seems like an ongoing issue, and the TV took a while to boot up, but those are relatively minor. Lots of things to do in the area, good shopping complexes directly across the freeway.

2022-04-01Positive: Located close to the highway. Restaurant/bar in house was very reasonable price. Negative: No free breakfast. No enough towels in the room for two people but was able to get them at the front desk easy enough. Music in the bar was way too loud, made it difficult to even to hear anything at check in, and worse to eat dinner there.

2022-06-27The website is misleading. This was a former Holiday Inn that was supposedly refurbished. Cannot say if it was or not but the first room I had was not, the bathroom ceiling was coming off due to leaking in the room above. My second room was very nice, and appeared refurbished.No housekeeping unless you request it even though the Guest Directory states there is daily service. By day 5, I went to the desk and requested to have the garbage picked up and clean towels.Unfortunately, its the closest hotel to my family.
