I really enjoyed my stay. The grounds & building are in good repair. My room was clean, comfortable, & spacious. The staff was super friendly & the woman that checked me in was so helpful & professional! Breakfast selection & quality was very good for these challenging times. The decor in my room was a little dated, but I would definitely stay here again.
The rooms are clean, they have what seems a full breakfast, thats good. The cleaning staff do a great job each day. Its close to shopping, quiet, with big smiles waiting for you at the front desk. And the pool is open if that is what you like. Thank you Best Western for a memorable stay!!
Positive: Location was perfect. Bed & sheets comfortable & nice. A/c worked well. Whirlpool in our room was awesome, but lighting over tub could be dimmer for those romantic occasions. Free breakfast was ok. Negative: Front desk didnt inform us room wouldnt be cleaned daily & needs to communicate better w housekeeping. No outside seating for smokers. Pool cold. Coffee weak. Buses & big trucks should have separate parking. Need 2 elevator @ each end. Smelt like weed.
The staff is exceptional, especially Connie, Laney, Ryan and Carla. Breakfast always has hot, sit-down as well as grab & go options. The pool is pleasant. I stayed in a King suite, and recommend it highly. The proximity of lots of dining and shopping options is excellent, yet you dont feel as if youre in the center of the hubbub. Once they upgrade the internet service, this could be a 5-star experience.
We had a very enjoyable stay for a very affordable price! The room had a king bed, pull out couch and small kitchenette area. We actually could not get over how spacious it was! Everything seemed very clean and they even provided sanitizing wipes for the surfaces which is reassuring during a pandemic. It’s worth noting the halls and lobby also seemed clean and pretty modern as it’s usually a good indication to the cleanliness of the rest of the hotel!Con: We went down for breakfast Saturday morning. Granted we walked in at 9:49-9:50 and breakfast closes at 10 (so we recognize we were pushing our luck) but, the lady working told us that we missed breakfast as she “ran out of everything”. Everything was picked up (besides a few granola bars) but she was pushing a cart into the back with a few packaged items such as boiled eggs, yogurt and other things and never once at least offered that. It seemed more like someone was trying to get out of there early rather than them running out of food. If the hotel did run out of food, then they should probably stock up a little better in advanced. We walked back down on Sunday morning at 7:10 and the same lady told us that she was running a little behind so that’s why nothing was out yet. It is worth mentioning that a different lady on either Thursday or Friday was very attentive! None of it is life altering, just a small frustration.Other than that, the stay was excellent and if we ever travel back to the area we will definitely stay again!
Positive: I walked in to a very clean room. I could tell too that the hotel and rooms had been recently been renovated. I was very pleased, and signed up for the rewards program. The staff was very friendly and professional. Negative: The only complaint I had was with the TV. I wanted to watch the Travel channel. For some reason it listed the channel and show I wanted to watch; however, I was seeing Nickelodeon Jr. I called the front desk about the situation.
Positive: breakfast was decent, some options Negative: hotel is severely understaffed. i tried to check it at 4pm, was told NO clean room, told to go away and they would let me know if/when they got one ready. bit frustrating when you are tired, i planed to arrive after the 3 pm check in but that didnt help
I stayed one night was glad they had rooms available. The room look and felt clean. It was very noticeable that the hotel took time to let you know they took extra cautions for your safety because of COVID-19. Two bad things were the bathroom vanity had some type of sticky contents on it and around the commode look like urine. But this hotel still is one of the best places to stay.
Rooms were clean however; we had a 3 day stay & housekeeping never came by to clean or check for amenities such as towels; I had to go back & forth to front desk for clean towels. Furthermore, I had two rooms, paid with separate credit cards only to travel all the way back to Texas to discover both me & wife were charged for 5 days of stay when we only stayed for 3. I am extremely disappointed and should never have had to endure the confusion of now adjusting our banking accounts because of the mishap of the front desk! Corporate offices will be hearing from me and I expect accountability to be taken on part of the hotel. This is ridiculous!! We were charged for 10 days for a 3 day stay!
Very clean. Highly recommend. Decor is dark and outdated but fresh sheets and pure white towels and fresh smells throughout. Safe location everything you need is in walking distance including walmart, gas station, and starbucks. Indoor pool open until 9pm. I enjoyed a 4-night stay for $75/night. They accept AAA discount too!
Positive: Location is great for us (near family). Parts of hotel that had been finished in the current remodeling looks good. Negative: Room was under construction, baseboard carpeting not installed, bathtub needed caulking, tv did not work from one day to the next (would lose input).
It was alright, room was clean, staff was really nice, breakfast was good, however not a lot of choices. There was a ton of snow, I kept getting stuck or sliding in the parking lot. The king sized bed in the king suite was way to firm. My husband couldnt sleep on it so he had to sleep on the pull out couch they had. Other then that it was great. My boys ages 1 and 3 had fun and so did I. My husband enjoyed his stay as well.
A decent place to stay. Gave it one star bc, although breakfast is included, there was none this morning. The person apparently called off and there was no back up plan or food. Wasnt even offered a voucher to go over to McDonalds for a bite. Seems it shouldve been easy enough for staff to go next door and get egg muffins or something so their customers, who wake up hungry & expecting breakfast, get what they paid for. Either that, or discount my room rate. Nothing was offered but an apology.
Went there and the room smelled musty and bed sheets looked to have dirt all over them. The wallpaper was peeling off and discolored by the floor. I filled the hot tub with bubbles as I do to check the cleanliness and the bubbles turned brown and there was brown stuff looking like dead bugs floating in the water. I left and couldnt reach anyone to get my money returned. I will never stay there again ! Absolutely disgusted. Also when i checked in the discount i was given through my google 1 app was not honored and I was made to pay the rate difference before checking in. Never Again!
Breakfast room is neat and the staff in it are wonderful. Average selections but love the fresh fruit.Rooms are another matter. Mine had no water pressure and they couldnt fix it. Room service was haphazard and tonight when room wasnt made up the front desk said they do it every other day. So room has unmade bed, garbage and old towels in it. At least we got fresh towels after asking for some.Light over bed out, reported to them, not fixed after 5 days. They seem to have towel shortage. Not staying here again.
They were able to handle our group of 47 rooms with great service and a smile. Clean hotel close to the Hall of Fame. Any issues that did arise were handled right away. Pool was great, rooms and lobby were clean. Breakfast was nice with rotating choices. The price was excellent. John handled everything over the phone and email, Whitney took care of everything at the property.
Something is just off about this place. Rooms are in-between renovations, meaning some of the work is done. First BW I have ever stayed in that requires an additional deposit in case we messed up the room. What kind of hotel guests do they have here? Clean enough priced right, but just something off with staff or management that made us decide this will not be a place we will be staying at in the future.
The staff was awesome. They were super friendly and helpful. The room was clean and roomie. It had everything we needed. The only complaint that I have is the bed was hard as a rock, that is in no way a bad reflection on the staff, its the hotel company. The breakfast was very good, good selection on things to eat. I only gave 4 stars because we picked that hotel for the pool and breakfast, but upon our arrival right before check in they closed the pool and got tub down for maintenance, they literally did that as we were walking in the doors. It was to open back up the day of our check out, but I will say that the receptionist when we checked in offers to talk to management to see about opening it. All in all great stay. I would stay there again.
For this type of hotel it was towards the top. We enjoyed the Jacuzzi room so that may have helped. We did find an ashtray with butts in our room and only half the staff was friendly and helpful. But its right there where everything is and has a real nice indoor pool. The room was cozy and we slept great. The breakfast was better than expected with hot and cold food. Well stay there again.
I was so impressed by my stay here. My flight got cancelled and I had to find a hotel close to the airport, fast, and for cheap. The hotel and my room were very clean and well stocked. Jerrica at the front is kind and helpful, and struck up a conversation with me... which makes all the difference after a stressful day. The shuttle driver was also very kind and offered to carry my (HEAVY) equipment bags. They have good amenities: business center, fitness center, pool, laundry, etc. It’s only 5 minutes from the airport with a free shuttle. The bed was comfy and clean, the bathroom was clean and well stocked, the couch and desk were both nice. I really can’t figure out why this place is so cheap! I travel a lot for work and stay in nice hotels and this Best Western was just as nice - if not better - than plenty of my $100+ hotels.
We initially booked a suite that said it had a king bed and a double pull out couch that was supposed to sleep a total of 4 people. We got there and there was a king bed and a pullout couch that was no wider than a reclining chair. The idea was to have my 8 year old and 5 year old share the pullout and they couldnt fit!If a room is advertised to be able to sleep 4 people, it typically means adults. This room could have maybe accommodated 2.5 adults. We ended up moving rooms and the space was better, but it was so loud! There was a ton of noise from the hall and adjacent rooms.Cap all of that off with the fact that staff couldnt keep up with breakfast and theres just no reason to stay there again.
We booked a double queen room and we got upgraded to a king suite! Breakfast was a great array of options. On the last day of our stay the pool was fixed. We knew that the pool was closed as it was clearly stated on their website. There were NO shady characters outside of the hotel, just smokers going out to have a cigarette. Would definitely stay there again if traveling this way!!
No concerns at all.Location was safe. Staff and general environment of the hotel was clean and Family Friendly.Breakfast was plentiful and well prepared.Although our room was not initially ready... we understand sometimes full capacity puts your housekeeping behind. They were very friendly, apologetic, and accommodating - only set us back about 5 minutes. Also the Filtered Tap in the bathroom is a welcome change to packing our own bottled water.
The hotel was nice and clean. It was a pleasant experience and I would highly recommend it to others who are staying in that area. The room was cleaned properly every day. The breakfast was the typical continental breakfast but was a little better than average. The ladies that took care of the breakfast area were extremely friendly and did an excellent job.If I work in that area again, I will definitely plan to stay there.
Drew is fantastic! Hotel looks absolutely amazing! Housekeeping needs a meeting with management but they at least try hard. Pay attention to detail. Dont be so fragile with long term guests. They love staying there. And they pay the bills in the slow months. Coming from a former hotel manager, I would be happy with this property. If youre in town this place will add $$$ to your wallet and take great care of you. As for the area surrounding is filled with shops and restaurants. Plenty of things within a mile.
This is an amazing hotel and the midnight staff is awesome! 👍 A special thank to the midnight clerk at the front desk that helped me to hide my identity from my Wife, so I could have relax and escape. Only wish they were like other hotels and realize that the chlorine that is in the pool water kills the Coronavirus.
Super Friendly Staff - Great Value - Clean Room - Great BreakfastWill definitely use again if in Canton. My one negative was the biscuits and gravy at breakfast could have been a little bit better seasoned and cooked - but this is a small thing. The staff here - evening and days - is one the most welcoming and friendly staffs I have ever experienced at a hotel - the work hard at it and it shows...
John really worked hard in the weeks leading up to our stay and was great during our stay as well. Whitney was great at the desk. The rooms were clean, the location was very convenient to the big mall across the street. Plenty of dining options. Easy access to Highway. Older hotel that has seen some renovations. They were painting when we were there, not inconvenient, actually a good sign that they kept up on building. Breakfast was hot and varied.
Checked in for the holiday. First thing I do when I check in to ANY hotel is pull back the blankets and sheets to check for bed bugs. We found evidence of bed bugs on the mattress. Went to the front desk and showed the girl on duty picture of bug on mattress and she changed us to another room. Same thing happened in second room. Again went to front desk and showed her pictures of our findings and told her we’d be leaving. We had booked through Sam’s Club so she said we’d have to call their travel agency to try to get reimbursed. No offer of anything from Best Western. We’ve stayed at a lot of Best Westerns, but this will be the last time! (Only gave 1 star rating because it makes you pick at least one to post)
Great location, close to shopping, dining, and the interstate. The hotel itself was clean and maintained, and the full hot breakfast was a nice surprise with a variety of choices that provided good options for everyone. The rooms were quiet and the bathroom was nicely sized with good water pressure.
My I first impression was not very good as the room strongly smelled of cheap perfume, as if they were trying to cover up something. It was probably the strongest smelling room Ive ever been in and Ive been in some doozies. The beds were a bit on the hard side, but I managed to sleep. Other than that, the staff was very professional. Everything was in working order and the shower was one of the easiest to use to get the correct temperature. The breakfast was adequate although the cantaloupe seemed like it was cut a day or two earlier as it was starting to turn.
Was very upset to find someone else’s mask laying on the floor of my room right next to the night stand where my kids were playing. Blankets and sheets were stained on one bed, so I had to sleep on a chair, luckily my kids are young so all four fit on the other clean bed. It served its purpose for the night but I will never stay at another best western solely for such poor standards of cleanliness. Not to mention, while running my toddler to my car to get his cup in the very early morning I had staff trying to interrogate me about taking my own child outside because he was crying, “you’re not taking him outside are you?” as I was trying to hurry to not disturb other guests with my screaming two year old at 5am.
Staff was friendly, very helpful and more than accommodating. My son left his hat in our room and an employee ran down to catch us before we left to give it to him. Hotel was clean and well maintained. Could not have been happier with my stay! This was my first time staying at a Best Western and it will now be my go to choice when needing a hotel!
We stayed a week and loved it. We are local, only live about 20 mins away but it was our anniversary when we first got together so we spent the week here. I loved the staff. The first room we were in was absolutely amazing it had a jacuzzi in the room with a TV in the same area so we didnt miss our shows, which over looked the pool and spa area!!!! We decided to stay in another room for the rest of our days. That room was clean and nice too. We went down 1 time for breakfast it wasnt too bad. The sausage patties are fake like jail patties but eggs and biscuits and gravy were pretty good. They have alot to choose from tho. The staff were great there was one girl who really went above and beyond to make sure we had the best experience possible. She was amazing. The beds were so comfortable that u couldnt sit on them without falling asleep. The pools and spa area were both clean. My experience with this place was also a blessing we went over to the giant eagle in the area to get some groceries while we were in there we got 2 scratch offs a 5 dollar one an a 2 dollar one. I won 500 dollars on the 5 dollar one. This was a dang good week. Thank u BW plus!!!!! We will be coming back for sure.
As far as Im concerned, there were no issues with this hotel. Easy check in. Girls at the desk are nice, polite and know what they are doing. The room was nice, clean, and the bed was just right. I didnt get a chance to use the pool as it was a quick stay. The breakfast was nice too.
Stayed here the weekend of Country Fest. Was a very nice Motel. Only complaint I really had was the room could have been vaccumed a little better especially around the edges of the room and around the beds (there were hairs on the floor around the beds) The bathroom was VERY clean VERY nice job there. Awesome water pressure. Loved the breakfast especially the sausage gravy....yummy.....Staff was Very nice.....was kept stocked with towels all 3 days we were there. Very comfortable beds. Looking forward to next year. Will definatally recommend this motel to others
The whole crew was amazing. I never felt such a homely feel at any of the Hotels I stayed in US. Nice little town with such down to earth and amazing caring people right from receptionist who checked us in and the other person who checked us out (I forgot her name - But anyone can recognize with her nice different hairstyle.) she went out of the way. The other person who took care of breakfast counter, she was really lovely, even during breakfast closure time, and treated us nice when she asked what else we need for breakfast (not like the ones in other hotels where they will be keen to close the breakfast)
Wonderful stay, great, helpful staff. Indoor heated pool and hot tub are just what I wanted during a freezing January day. The airport was ready and waiting for me when I arrived in the lobby, the driver was courteous and took care of my luggage. Brought me right to American Airlines desk and took my luggage in for me. Breakfast had various items - you should be able to find something you like, from fruit and cereal to hot eggs and sausage, oatmeal and Danish. There was even a waffle iron. Staff was polite and made sure I had everything I needed. They arranged for me 2 wake-up calls so I wouldnt miss my early flight and had a breakfast to-go bag waiting for me - an orange, apple and breakfast bar. Will be staying again and planning on a trip to the Football Hall of Fame.
Very clean and appointed hotel. Staff is a 5* and are constantly out and about to see to any problems, or helping for any questions . The room was very nice and linens exceptional. I was there for a funeral and everyone asked each time I saw them if they could do anything to.help.. Loved it!
Definitely my go to place to stay when I come to visit family.Affordable, safe and comfortable.Only issue I had was the workout room was so dirty my last visit there. 😕. I walked in around 5 am and almost gagged because of the smell. The water cooler was empty and the equipment was full of dried sweat spots everywhere. ( just all around smelly and gross). It was probably 30 degrees outside (end of March 2018) so I opted for a few walks around the building to get the rest of my workout completed. Over all the rooms are always clean and very limited noise from the other rooms, which is a huge plus! Will be back this December. 😊
Fabulous place to stay especially if you are flying out of Akron-Canton airport early in the morning. Great price; friendly staff; nice, clean rooms; above average breakfast; close to stores and restaurants; and free shuttle to/from the airport. Didnt use the pool/fitness facilities. We will be back.
Best value for one of the nicest Best Westerns I’ve been at in a long while. Great breakfast with lots of options, nicely updated rooms. Appreciate the pool but wifi needs an upgrade. A little odd to get into because of city street routes and busy traffic but well worth it! Not far from Pro Football Hall of Fame. Great recognition for my Rewards level. Very clean property, very quiet room, and friendly, helpful staff. I highly recommend it!
Enjoyed my stay, mostly because of the super friendly staff. Starting with Desmond the driver who picked me up at the airport. Very nice young man. Friendly, accommodating and helpful. And finishing off with the rest of the staff led by Whitney. Every single person was friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again.
Very nice stay @ Best Western Plus ,North Canton, Ohio. Have stayed here previous years. In town from Fla to visit all our family. Was given a room that had cigar smoker living there for many years. They transferred us the same night per our request. We were upgraded to suite, and given a discount on stay. Room on 3rd floor. Quiet ,clean, fresh smell. Linen change offered every day. Staff very friendly. Breakfast plenty and fresh and staff member Michelle is a darling. Housekeeping staff very polite.Dron at front desk made reservations for me,for later dates this year, for a family wedding. Plan to use this hotel continually.
Ive been to super expensive hotel rooms in disney world and universal studios, the only differences were so minimal and not really noticeable. For example I had to pay an extra few bucks for a room with a tub/shower instead of just a shower but the tub was so big and totally worth it (since im 35 weeks pregnant lol). The whole place including the rooms were super clean, super spacious, so well decorated, and the hallways were almost totally quiet! The suites are just as beautiful as those expensive hotels, not sure about the regular rooms. The pool was salt water which i love, and could use a heater, but wasnt cold! The breakfast has scrambled eggs, eggs for breakfast sandwiches, bagels, toast, muffins, french toast, yogurt, fruit, sausage, bacon, freshly cooked waffles, 3 kinds of cereal, almond milk, half and half, 2 types of milk, whipped cream, grits, gravy, biscuits, orange juice, apple juice, guava juice, coffee, and EVERY condiment or topping you could even imagine lol. The food was totally amazing and it was one of the reasons we picked this place. I have no complaints, the wifi (even ALL THE WAY in the back of the building) was so freaking fast, the beds are SO COMFY and i have a $2000 double pillow top mattress at home, the sheets were so soft, the towels were so clean and soft, the towels for the pool area were just as great, and they even have a DVD player for the TV! It did suck that since we had a suite we got a keureig instead of a regular coffee maker, but the regular rooms have regular coffee makers and if i knew i could have requested one in advance. I love that checkout time is noon and the pool is open till 11pm! everything was just amazing and I cant think of anything they could improve on, cant wait to come back!!
Clean, well-maintained. The only problem we had is we checked in at 5, was given our room cards, but the room hadnt been cleaned. Cigarette butts littered the floor (in a non-smoking room), but there front desk attendant got us another room quickly. Wonderful breakfast.
The redeeming quality was that the bed was comfortable. Unfortunately the carpets were sticky so we didnt dare go barefoot while in the room. Im unsure if the cleaning was that thorough as there was some questionable body hair plastered to the shower wall. Our room was directly across from the ice machine which seems to be where they get the ice for the breakfast buffet. I know this since I was awoke to the sound of the ice machine being used at an ungodly hour for a long time. My last complaint is by no means the fault of the proprietor but the builder. The walls and doors are incredibly thin and this means we could hear the banshee wails of children racing up and down the hall at 11:30 PM. The price was why we chose this hotel rather than our normal choice when staying in the area. Ill simply pay more to go elsewhere next time.
Clean rooms, great location, a very friendly and helpful staff. A special thanks to Tricia! I stayed at the hotel for the week, every day they served sausage but I like bacon. I casually mentioned I was disappointed that they didn’t have bacon all week and Tricia offered to make me bacon. That is going above and beyond! Thank you for the bacon Tricia! Hot tub was not working while I was there. Said they might get rid of it. I hope they don’t it is one of the reason I keep coming back.
Never even stayed. Requested a refund because there was NO hot tub as advertised!!! Ruined the whole birthday evening and by the time I went to check in and found out the disappointing news all the hotels with hot tubs were booked! Very upset about the rudeness after telling me the hotub was no longer available. Also put my reason for canceling my reservations was for a no show. I called to speak to a manager and he said he was the one taking care of me. Nothing was made of all this. Never go back.
Great place the best are so comfortable very clean respectful people smiling an talking an breakfast at 6 am to 9 am didnt make tho but did get juice an milk an coffee taste great very clean that had eggs an bacon an sausage an toast an muffins an donuts saw they lay out of food look so great best place to sleep an swimming swimming is from 3 to 9 pm very clean an water is very warm nice place really enjoyed my whole day an night there was awesome 😎 cant complain at all thanks again for great service
DONT DO IT ITS A TRAP!! Came here to spend the $100 worth of gift cards I earned as a platinum rewards member earlier this year.. Had 2 charges on my bank statement for $146.10, and $57.50 in addition to the $100 worth of gift cards.. Making the cost of one night a total of $308.60 for 2 queen beds!?! This left me with $4 to my name, and no way to get either home or to my previously planned destination... This is insanity, and something I feel should have been mentioned before or during the initial transaction at the front desk...
Best hotel experience ever! The staff was incredibly accommodating and helped turn a terrible day of travel into a pleasant experience. The people here were amazing, and the customer experience was world class. Rooms were very nice, clean, and high end. They literally went above and beyond.
The hotel has a nice modern charm to it; I enjoyed my stay. I am a traveling businessman, and this hotel was very clean and welcoming.☆☆☆☆☆1st. The hotel was very nice welcoming and has a warm lobby; in the morning the lobby has a nice well-stocked breakfast with eggs, sausage, biscuits plus gravy, pancakes, waffles, and some extra goodies too. The lobby has the luxury of a simple continental breakfast too. The front desk staff members are very inviting and friendly to service your needs.☆☆☆☆☆2nd. The pool room is very clean has a really nice pool and a hot tub; the pool goes to 5 for easy for swimming or a light cardio workout for a quick swim. The pool room has well-stocked towels, cleaned floors and, bonus friendly people just willing to take a dip in the pool.☆☆☆☆☆3rd The fitness center is small with a TV, well-stocked water, and towels. The equipment is in working condition and is modern. To help you burn all those calories after eating all the delicious food the hotel has to offer for breakfast.☆☆☆☆☆4th The hotel has plenty of options for snacks and drinks with working vending machines and it has laundry room; a little pricey but its worth it to do your laundry with the hotels washing machine and dryer.☆☆☆☆☆5th. The room you will be staying in is a modern well lit room with a nice cozy feel. The room has a nice little business center for you to work on documents or projects. The bed is very comfy; the staff does their job correctly, and willing to go the extra mile if you hang your clothes or the towel wrong; the kitchen has a K cup brewer for tea or coffee, refrigerator, and microwave for cooking food and a place to store your clothing plus the bathroom is very nice and clean.☆☆☆☆☆6th. The hotel staff shuttle service made my day; the shuttle car needs cleaning but other than that the staff did a fantastic job.I get homesick easily when Im away from family. The staff and the service members have made my stay excellent. 5 stars I recommend staying at this hotel any time plus a good price too. I wish I wasnt leaving soon; I definitely feel like I was treated like a guest at my friends house plus the staff saved my road show from the neighboring hotel down the street. THANK YOU to the staff of the Best Western Inn North Canton. :)
Very nice Hotel, nice staff. Good breakfast. Good value. Just ask if your room oversees pool. Could get noisey. Even room numbers may be adjacent to pool. Otherwise we will stay here again. Cracker Barrel right down the street. Gas station close too, very convenient if you dont like to drive all over town!
Love this hotel, nice rooms, nice pool, nice staff, nice breakfast and nice area! I come twice a year for the last 3years to Canton Ohio from Cincinnati Ohio! This last time I came, at check out this worker....walkie talkie for room service to check my room for smoke!! I was mad!! Because I hate the smell of smoke....and for him to have me waiting for something I DONT DO! when they never did that before this time! I was hot, definitely when I didnt see him do that to the two guest before me...but overall my stay was NICE
Pool was closed and I was told not due to open until February 14th 2020. Found feces on comforter and white stuff on decorative pillows (see photos). I was supposed to stay for 4 nights and booked a separate room for family coming in but checked out after an hour. I still have not been reimbursed. Still waiting to hear back from management. I was in the Canton/ Akron area planning my fathers funeral. I had to pay for a different hotel and therefore I couldnt do the luncheon following my dads funeral. Called corporate and this is a franchise so they couldnt help. I was disgusted. I have always liked Best Westerns until this experience and now will probably never stay at one again.
Nice place but they hit my credit card. I reserved through Priceline. Nothing to pay at the hotel. They asked for a credit card for incidentals, then charged my card twice and took a week to refund my money. The charges were nearly $100 dollars. Thankfully I didnt give them my debit card, could have overdrafted my account.
We didnt have reservations but were able to get a very nice room that was clean and served our needs well. The breakfast was very good with both hot and cold items and staff being very helpful and keeping things clean and filled--1 staff member made the waffles for us.
I travel to North Canton for business on occasion, Selena the front desk associate at nights is always very professional, courtesies, and ;polite. Selena provides exceptional world class customer service. Thank you Selena for making my stay feel at home away from home.
The room was very nice and beautiful. However I did find a little bit of what looked like blood on the curtain. The staff was curtious and helpful. It would have been nice however if the food would cater to food allergies such as dairy. The food that I could have was great. There is a catch with a temporary 50 dollar deposit though. The location is great however it is difficult to get on the freeway. Have to do a few turn arounds due to one ways and no left turns. I would stay here again if around the area if these recommendations would be improved.
I couldnt have imagined a better experience if I had tried. The customer service at this hotel was absolutely amazing! We arrived late and were very tired, but the staff greeted us with a smile and were helpful in every way possible. I forgot a few items and they even reminded me that there was a Walmart close by. The hotel is in close vicinity to plenty of shopping and restaurants, which was really nice! The room was very clean and felt like home away from home. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the area.
Your average hotel. Overall seemed clean, bed was comfy. Continental breakfast is alwsys a plus. We had a poolside room. Our window looked right to the indoor pool, which was ok but the A/C pulled in air right from the hot tub, room smelled like a pool and the curtains definitely had mold on them.
Surprised by the large variety of breakfast with tasty eggs, appreciated the helpful attitude of the staff who followed up when help was needed. The dining area suited our group well who gathered there in the evening. Room was pleasant and comfortable. My son enjoyed the work out area
Clean modern rooms. I was extremely impressed when I received a call hours before checking in. The receptionist inquired if there was anything they could do upon my arrival to make my stay better. If this isnt Best Western policy it should be. It made me feel welcome long before I had arrived. When Im in town next time this is the only place Ill stay.
My mother had to have a place to stay in transition to Assisted Living. I can not say enough good things about the ENTIRE staff! From the front desk, breakfast organizers, Housekeepers, even the van driver. I cant thank you all enough for what you have done for mom and the extra time and care youve spent. Hopefully this gets to Corporate, but often times the staff doesnt get enough credit. Best Western North Canton is at the top in Stark County.
This hotel is tucked away by the strip. Its located near a gas station and McDonalds. I stay here quite often and the rooms are always impeccable. Theyve been recently renovated and make it look much more upscale for a cheap price. The continental breakfast is delicious and has a wide variety. Theyve also got a pool, hot tub and a gym. An elevator that is handicapped accessible. Dont forget to sign up for Best Western rewards, Ive earned quite a bit from this rewards program.
I stayed there for 1 night. BED BUGS!! Had to move rooms 3 times! Yuck!!Breakfast is microwaved and awful. Jakuzzi was shut down for maintenance. When I asked someone named Whitney?? She said it would never reopen, very rude person. Do yourself a favor...save 79 plus tax and sleep in your car. You can thank me later. Gross gross gross
Where to begin! We decided to stay here because priceline listed as a last minute deal, but we booked directly through the hotel website. Upon checking in at roughly 6pm the lady Yolanda at the front desk was nice and checked us in promptly. Walking back to our room (at the back of the hotel because we got a suite) the hall way smelled of musty pool water and dirty feet. We got to our room changed and went to enjoy the pool, our reason for staying. There were dirty bandaids and hair all over the pool area and no towels. I let Yolanda know and she told me they were washing more and theyd be out shortly. My guess is they were understaffed. We ended up having to leave the pool because there was so much chlorine it flared up my daughters asthma and she needed her inhaler. We decided to watch a movie in the bed but the bed had hair and what Im guessing was eyelashes all over the sheets. The walls were filthy as shown in the pictures, and we even found a pill! Not sure what kind it was but either way the room was not cleaned. We went back to the front desk and she apologized and switched our room and said shed let house keeping know. The room we where moved to was atleast clean. In the morning we went down for breakfast and my son was excited for waffles because thats his favorite part about staying at hotels besides the swimming. There was no waffle maker out but a nice guest let us know, as he was finishing his, the food attendant has to make them in the back. When I asked her she told me shes not making waffles shes too busy. My son was crushed :( so my husband asked her about them and she told him no Im too busy Im not doin waffles. He asked her to do her job and she got rude with him. So he went to the front desk and asked and the lady (didnt catch her name) came out and asked her to make them. You could hear her in the back room throwing a fit and she eventually came out and called my husband an a**hole! Aside from the front desk staff this was one of the absolute worst places we have stayed!!! And we travel/ stay roughly 2 twice a month on weekends so we have a lot of experience.
I’ve never posted a review before but my experience here was so wild, this is my first and hopefully last oneI am shocked that this has 4.3 starsI arrived at 5:30 pm at akron canton airport. As they advertise a shuttle. I called the front desk and they said they’d send one.An hour later I arrive in an uber. The shuttle is sitting in the parking lot unused.I check in. Get keys and go up to room. They don’t work. No big deal. Go back down and keys get coded. Go back up to the room and enter. Room already occupied. Luckily no one was in room when I opened the door.Go back down get a different room. At midnight I get two calls from the front desk asking if room is occupied and who I am. At midnight....because their records are messed up.Room was fine. Halls were loud. Doors Banging.
Clean and comfy rooms and super friendly staff made our stay very enjoyable while we were visiting our son, who attends Walsh University. This is the fourth year that we have returned to this Best Western. Thank you for making us feel so welcome. keep up the wonderful work and give yourselves a pat on the shoulders on a JOB WELL DONE.Sue
Seemed like a nice hotel. Though I didnt get to stay the night because you need to be 21 to check in, and I didnt find out until I got there. I had to drive 5 and a half hours to get here so I booked in advance for a reason, just in case that there was an age requirement. I guess that doesnt matter though.I would suggest that the hotel makes sure you either cant book a room or lets you know you cant check in unless you are 21. It would save a headache for someone like me.
Stole my deposit on numerous occasions. Then, after the issue was brought to management they altered our invoices from out stays and made fraudulent statements against my husband and I to keep our last refundable deposit. Management was turned into the corporate office with proof of the fraudulent activity that occurred and the issue seems to be overlooked. I have no received a response from Best Western Plus nor The Best Western Plus Corporate Office since I turned in the documentation over a week ago. Isnt this against the law???
Over all the stay was great. It was just messed up when it was time to check out. He manager called me and said that my room was not paid for. I was wondering how was I able to get the room if my card didnt go through at check in. The manager could not explain. So can someone over management get in touch with me.
Its the best hotel to stay in Canton. Great location. The room was amazing until we found some trash under the bed. Housekeeping should pay attention to detail. The breakfast was great. Glad I stayed in Best Western the other local hotels look rundown. Overall it was a great stay
My family or I have stayed at this particular Best Western for at least two decades! The grandchildren look forward to it because of the pool and McDonalds next door. Adults like the quiet even though its near the freeway. Shopping right across the main street, and at least seven restaurants nearby, though the main drag is busy, so maybe you wouldnt want to walk. For safety, the road right in front of the motel [Sunset] has been no-left-turned, so it can be tricky getting in or out, but once you find the easy access side street [circles behind the motel from the traffic light], its a breeze.
Didnt actually stay here, but while fixing my broke down vehicle the staff were friendly, patient and helped in anyway possible. For them to do this for a nonpaying customer, I can only imagine the great service they would give to a paying customer. Shout out to Jasmine.
Reserved a king bed with sofa sleeper for two adults & two kids, ages 11 & 12. Even though the website says this type of room will accommodate 4 people, this is not the case. The sofa sleeper (think love seat) is made for 1 child, not 2 and definately not for adult over 5 feet.
I very much enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The location is great, close to shopping and restaurants. The staff greeted every request with a smile and were always willing to help in any way they could. The cleanliness of the room and grounds surpassed my expectations and I would strongly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great stay in North Canton!
The baseball families let their kids do whatever while the parents were no where to be found. The kids took over the pool, the halls (even caused a fire due to cooking macaroni without water), and breakfast are acting like they owned everything. The parents were no where to be found...even when their kids swam at 10:30pm and tracked so much water all over getting in and out of the pool and running all over the lobby that the hotel had to put signs up for the dangers of wet tiled floors. Inconsiderate by these baseball teams families to say the least...
WOULD DEFINITELY STAY AGAIN!My husband had to oversee a job up here so i came with him. Stephan was most helpful with whatever we needed. He helped us with resturant suggestions and also at my request gave me some xtra blankets to help pad the mattress (the mattress is why i didnt rate it a 5). We had the king executive suite and it was good. The AC had the continous fan option, room was clean (and im picky about that!) it had a BIG bathroom, not one of those teeny tiny ones where 2 people cant hardly be in there at the same time! It also had a Keurig coffee maker, a microwave and a fridge. I want to mention Lana, the very nice lady that brought us towels & coffee; ask to get on her floor, she was so very sweet. They have a good breakfast, sausage patties & links, OATMEAL (can you believe it) they had oatmeal! and toppings for it also. They had 2 kinds of eggs to choose from, biscuits & gravy, pastries, they even had yogurt you could dip out and put fruit, granola, nuts or raisins as a topping. Michelle who was working there was so very nice, they make the waffles for you and she made me 1/2 one because i didnt want a whole one, so nice. They also provide free shuttle service within 5 miles. This is a great place to stay folks.
Only have one star because I had to pick one. This was the worst experience we have had, and will not be back! It was awful.... wake up calls when we didn’t request them, breakfast attendant was rude and refuse to refill food, couldn’t get towels - cause every towel was in the wash, tv was broken - after being upgraded to a suite for all the inconveniences, we packed all of our stuff only to have them give that room away. ALL AROUND TERRIBLE!!!!
This is a wonderful place to stay but never again. The pool area was unsupervised and the entire time was filled with young children who were constantly screaming, pushing, running, splashing, diving and jumping into the hot tub. We did say something to them but it intensified so we told someone and nothing was done. I saw lawsuit written all over this one.
Arrived at the hotel with my family after a long drive into town for a family reunion and to my suprise the staff was excellent, the rooms were clean and ameneties were well kept. I had no problem being cheking into my room upon our arrival and checkout was super fast and easy. The manager whos name i cannot recall now was very professional yet friendly. The next time i visit canton oh i will stay at this hotel!! It has the approval of the WHOLE family!
This organization was bad from the bottom up. I lost my drivers license and brought a photo copy along in case I got pulled over while driving (supplied by my company who had it on file) I was traveling for business and drove 369 miles. I had prepaid the room through Priceline. (Priceline explains I would need to present a credit card, which I did but they say nothing about a photo ID) I got there and no one was at the front desk. I called three times. Hello? And then I heard. Be there in a minute and out comes (I wont say his name) with rubber gloves on. Creepy. He didnt smile. I felt like I intruded upon him. I told him I would like to check in and he asked my name and then he asked for my drivers license. I provided my photo copy and explained my situation and he just handed it back to me and said sorry, we cant accept this. And unless I was willing to pay a cash deposit of $250 I couldnt stay there. I called the manager. I even called the corporate office. THEN my client called them. They still wouldnt allow me to stay there. THEN they wouldnt give me my money back! THE ROOM WAS PREPAID. Thing is; I had called the night before for a room and everything was booked so I told them I couldnt get a room anywhere else because they were all booked. They STILL didnt care. They were more worried about the fact I might damage a room. Than the fact that I had just driven 368 miles and was traveling by myself. They did not care and just kept saying to me Its our policy Well, I know how customer service works. And sure there are rules. And yes, I should have had my ID. But it was either stolen or I lost it. And Best Western has a policy. That policy has no human element to it at all. I wouldnt go there for anything ever again! Especially since the Corporate office wouldnt even help. I travel all the time and have never been treated like a non-person like this guy and his manager treated me. He needs to take lessons from Andrew at La Quinta Suites. After the Best Western kicked me out in the street. Not caring or offering me any help at all. I tried LaQuinta And Andrew answered. I asked him what would he do in this same situation. I ended up with a better room, closer to my meeting tomorrow and much friendlier people. If you ever visit Canton, as long as the guy with the rubber gloves is working the front desk, dont go there. Dont go there at all because the manager is very cold hearted. If you would like the royal treatment, go see Andrew at La Quinta. Andrew understands what customer service is all about. Sorry so long but I am still in disbelief.
It has been 12 years since I last stayed at this Best Western hotel and it is just as clean and the staff is just as friendly as it had been in the past the pool is nice that your Koozie use the fitness room in the morning and the breakfast was good I would stay there again if I were in the area

2022-06-21This may be one of the best hotel experiences I have had in a long while. Check was smooth and easy. The front desk workers were amazing and nice. When I got to the room the air conditioner wasn’t really cold. I turned it down and when got back from country fest it still wasn’t cold. I said something the next morning. Had breakfast which was amazing everyday I was here. I wish they did waffles everyday, that’s my only complaint. The pool is a little small but was nice to get into after long nights. Back to air conditioning after country fest that might I was not looking to come into a hot room and to my delighted surprise they installed a brand new unit. This hotel was booked and sold out. I wasn’t thinking they were goin be able to get to it. That encompasses the stay here. Really awesome people great service and perfect rest stop.

2022-03-30Rooms were stinky... the building was over crowded.... they rented out the lounge and pool area to a spring break group and half didnt stay at the hotel. There were some interesting characters that kept going in and out of the hotel meeting with people all hours of the night. We had a front room so we watched it all go down. U can hear everything in your room and other rooms, plus one room was smoking pot and made our room horrible. I wouldnt care but we have young children. Overall, the area has better hotel options. The staff the works the lounge for breakfast, was the best thing about our stay, they helped the kids make waffles and were extremely friendly.

2022-04-17Overall our experience was pretty good. Hotel and room were clean, breakfast was good for a continental breakfast. Check In/Out was seamless… But our room (Jacuzzi Suite) smelled pretty bad.

2022-06-14Staff was spectacular - Errol, Ryan, Sheriden, Joseph and the rest. So helpful and informative even when understaffed or limited resources. And I was picked up at the airport.Room was decent, clean, large, comfortable bed.Alarm clock didnt work and no outlets for charging next to bed.TV, phone, wifi instructions missing (though it turned out that wifi was open).AC is old but functional and our window faced the indoor pool so some noise and little light. The roads in the area are crazy, not passable on foot, meant to funnel car traffic and serve shopping areas.Overall, a good price for the market.

2022-02-22Positive: The staff was amazing. Very friendly and accommodating. Negative: I would have given 5 stars. However, the room must not have been as there was a vacuumed as there was a metal hanger on the floor and the bathroom must not have been swept as there was a piece of jewelry on the floor.

2022-06-26Nice mid level hotel. Have stayed in many in the area and would say this is as good if not better than the Hamptons or Fairfield’s. Clean, spacious room, and breakfast was actually better than most.

2022-06-21Positive: N/A Negative: There were bugs and the staff was not helpful. We were not advised about the room getting cleaned for 3 days we spent there. No clean towels and there were roaches.
