Beerhead Bar & Eatery in other cities:
Sat for 20 minutes without service or even acknowledgement that our table was there. Such a shame because we’ve been here many times over the past few years and have always enjoyed it. I know places are short-staffed but even an acknowledgement would go a long way with customers.
First food review I have ever written...First Time, last time. Stopped in for lunch on 2-18-22. Looked interesting since I enjoy good crafts. Ordered a Brisket Sando. Brisket was inedible. i took it off the sando to see if I could salvage any meat off it. Fatty and what little meat there was...I couldnt even get my teeth thru it . So I essentially had myself a $15.00 small grilled cheese with a couple jalepenos. The J-peppers werent event good. All 6 slices of them. The pinch of flacid fries that were given also boring and tasteless ( I ate them... it was my first meal of the day). The Nugget Nectar seasonal from Troegs Brewery didnt live up to what I remember either. Very Flat mouth-feel with little discernable taste/flavor. To top it off...I had to wait forever to pay my tab. Picked up a half sub from Jersey Mikes on the way home. solid as usual. Sorry to be a bummer, but couldnt hold back on this one.
This place is great. Got the Chicagoland pizza. It was so good. Perfect crispy crust, tasty sweet sauce thats not overbearing, real mozzarella thats so flavorful, and delicious real pepperoni. The staff are friendly and it has an amazing atmosphere. This is a place that I will always be down to go back too. Highly recommend.
Walked in, sat at bar, waited 10 minutes and no one came to see if we wanted a drink. She ( the waitress) looked right at me and walked away...three times!!! We walked out and went elsewhere to eat. Will never go back. Just so its noted ..there was only 1 table and 1 couple at bar when this happened and three staff standing around doing absolutely nothing at all.
Everything was great here, including the service. We had some great food and beer flights. Their happy hour is pretty nice, and they have an AMAZING selection of beers to try! Absolutely recommend. All the staff were wearing masks and friendly! Will definitely be back!
The restaurant is really cute, the patio is very nice and the pizza is okay; however, everything else about the experience lacked knowledge, leadership and flavor.I ordered a dirty martini, then was told that the bar did not have the ingredients to make a martini several minutes later. I then asked for Titos and Soda Water and got a Smirnoff Raspberry and soda water. I asked for it to be remade and overheard the bartender tell our server to leave it rang in as a martini because theyre basically the same thing, except that theyre not, especially when it comes to price. When we received the bill I was charged $10 for a standard Titos and Soda.We asked the server to correct it and she said she would just take 50% off since there is no way for them to correct it. (We never saw anyone in a leadership position or were asked by anyone how our food/drinks were)The Nashville Hot Chicken Sliders were terrible. The southern style chicken is frozen/fried chicken patties, buns cold, and the pimento cheese was cold and had no flavor. The fries that came with the meal werent cooked through and were cold. Im not sure what about the meal was Nashville style, there was no flavor, let alone kick.I wanted to check the reviews before I decided to write one as I didnt want an off night to be used against a brand; however, based on the reviews, the food and the service are both a bit stale.
This one is so tough for me to write because it’s sincerely one of my favorite places to go. It’s got great food and drinks! But truly the staff is increasingly rude. It’s hard to even get served sometimes - maybe that would be solved if they hired a host? Music is good when live acts come, but avoid trivia night. The host plays super loud low quality music and it’s sooo annoying.
They have a great selection of beer and the service is fantastic! If you go for drinks you will not be disappointed but if you order food beyond the appetizers you will be disappointed. The giant pretzel was great! The rest of the meal, well justgo for great service, drinks and snacks.
We’ve been here a couple times and have enjoyed it. Great beer selection and atmosphere. We’ve always ordered a pizza and have been happy with it. Yesterday I decided to try something different and ordered the Nashville chicken sliders. Big mistake! They tasted like processed frozen chicken that had been microwaved. I could’ve made better sliders straight out of my freezer at home! Big disappointment!
Had a great experience. The bartender Hope was attentive, helpful, and great conversation. I noticed management was present and supportive to both the servers and bartenders. The restaurant was busy but I always had a full drink, felt welcomed, and the pizza was hot and delicious. Another special thanks to Hope for making our experience so great.
Staff was nice, beer selection was great. Food is just not good. Garlic Parm fries were soggy and cold, very small portion, and $11. Everything else we ordered was just bland and cheap tasting. Maybe we just ordered all the wrong things but I wouldnt recommend eating there. Id go back for the beer though.
The business was closed for a week+ for training. When we went there finally, they only have one bartender, a server, and a cook, and some random guy walking around cleaning the windows. The server was extremely friendly, but upon already deciding dinner, they were out of wings. There was no sign saying it was 86d anywhere. She only had 5 tables, no one was helping her clean off the tables that left... Again, some random guy was washing windows... And as the reply shows from the business, apparently was a window washer, which is so weird because he was also seen behind the bar, in the kitchen with the cook, and giving advice to the server.Their patio was closed on a beautiful day, 70 degrees and overcast because of short staffing.Look, I get it... Staffing is hard...It doesnt take much to have a better understanding of service. When we asked if we could eat outside she told us we could order a beer and go outside, but the fire wasnt even running and it just felt unwelcoming anyways.Being bummed about the wings was one thing.Dont get the barbarian pretzel due to the dips being crusty and cold by the time they get to you (who serves hot beer cheese dips in a plastic cup these days). The Nashville sliders were dry and burnt as if they use a ninja foodi to air fry the chicken. No spice, and sweet pickles unlike Nashville dill.Fries werent fried, again... Baked. The pork belly Mac was awesome, but... Again, beer cheese was cold.I want to love this place, but overall I was so highly disappointed.
My daughter and i went there for dinner this evening and sat at a table. Noone came to our table for at least 10 minutes. 3 waitresses there, guy looked like a manager, and they were NOT busy at all, probably 5 tables top. 1 lady finally stopped and dropped off menus said our server Amber would be with us. Never did see Amber. Then about 5 minutes later another girl stopped at our table and tried to drop off the same menus. Never got water, waa never asked if we would like aomething to drink. I told the lady we knew what we wanted to order, she said again Amber will be with us. They had no interest in getring us any kind of service so after aout 25 minutes we walked out. It was the worst experience i ever had at a restaurant. What a shame!
This place has an excellent selection of craft beers, and during happy hour, local beers are half off. We had pizza and it was also good. They have some creative combinations. In my mind, good pizza is made with good crust and good sauce. They did both well. Its a nice option with good patio seating.
Was really excited to try this place. Sat outside on the patio for dinner with 3 others. Cool looking spot with tons of draft options. Unfortunately, it looks way better than it is. The beer was warm, the food was less than subpar. The French fries were old and cold, the pork belly mac and cheese was plain, overcooked, dry pasta with a sprinkle of shredded cheese and what looked like bacon bits and green onions. The chicken wrap and potato salad both were flavorless. Overpriced for the value and quantity as well. Probably wont be back.
Great beers, we had some good appetizers. Wanted to try the pizza but we got full ( we werent that hungry going in though). The singer was really good and a lot of fun tonight and the service was great too! I hope that singer comes back. Id like to know of hes a regular and where else he sings.
Excellent draft & bottle selection of craft beer. Nice Belgian selection. Lots of locals too. Huge rotating taps. The layout was comfortable but not packed because of distancing. We had good service with fast wait time. The pizza was excellent. Fresh, seasonal & interesting toppings with healthier options. The crust was a good mix of chewy & crunchy without being heavy. The Barbarian Pretzel was big but fresh and chewy as well. My dinner mates really enjoyed the bison and the brisket.
This place absolutely wowed us with their eats! Queso and pico appetizer was fantastic. My husband LOVED the chicken salad sandwich and he is picky about his chicken salad and the turkey club and pasta salad was phenomenal. Topped it off with their root beer float! Outstanding!
Great atmosphere and beer selection. My kids pizza looked great and they enjoyed it! Also a huge plus that they allow dogs on the patio. The pretzel was incredible. My only miss was the chicken added to the salad seemed like the frozen kind that was prepared in advanced and comes in a frozen meal.
Good tap and bottle selection. Food is so-so. Dont expect a 5 star meal or 5 star service here. Youll be waiting awhile to put your order in and even longer to get your drinks. After two visits, I decided to increase by 3 rating to a 4 due to convenience of location but no change in food or service.
We just tried this place for the first time and we absolutely loved it.The beer menu is just massive! They have so many great selections. They even mixed together two beers to make one fantastic drink for one of us.The food is incredible. The tatchos were an excellent starter. We ordered the blazin dogs, the brisket grilled cheese and the brisket burger and Im telling you, everything was delicious. That bourbon glaze 👌👌 I had to take some home..Our server, Derrick, was a really great server too. Professional, attentive and very polite. We will most definitely be coming back.Five stars, recommended this place to anyone.
Decided to try this place out. Ordered 2 appetizers for dine in along with a beer and 2 sandwiches to take home. Beer was great and a good selection. Appetizers were terrible. Bison was only a few pieces over a bed of lettuce I guess to make it look plentiful. The chicken bites breading was horrendous, soggy and the chicken was still frozen. They also put them on another huge bed of lettuce.. why??. See pics. Had to remove breading.. the 2 sandwiches I took home were great. Im guessing there pizza is good too from the way it looked on other peoples table even though I didnt order it. Staff was friendly and atmosphere. Take away, stay away from the appetizers!! Everything else is good. Oh, and fries that came with sandwiches were uncooked and the worst.. sorry guys but Im sharing my experience to help hopefully get it corrected
We absolutely love the menu options, beer selection, and outdoor patio. We live close and have frequented Beer Head quite often. There have been a few weekends we have come and enjoyed the live accoustic music. Unfortunatley, on Friday 1/22, whomever was live music playing was so unbelievable loud and the feedback from the guitar was so piercing that those at my own table were unable to have a conversation without yelling. He tried playing Hey Jude and was actually yelling the portions of the song. Yelling is not singing. We indicated to our waitress that the music was way too loud and that the feedback was so drastic that we were really struggling to enjoy ourselves let alone have a conversation. She explained that two other tables made that same comment and she had said something but that no one listened to her. Sad to hear that..as I watched two tables get up and leave due the volume. Then, it was our turn. One beer and a pretzle later, we refrained from ordering any more food or drinks and said to our waitress, we were leaving because of how loud it was. We went to another restaurant for dinner and drinks at this point. Maybe this was a one off, but its unfortunate the volime level cost Beer Head more money from 3 tables during our time there, sorry that this ultimatley can affect the wait staff trying to make money from guests, and really sorry to hear that no one was listening to the wait staff whom were relaying the customers issue. Again, not mad, maybe a one off...but still a very poor experience. One of the folks at our table was a first time person at Beer Head per our reccomendation, and I had to ensure him on our way out that it typically is not like this and had to appologize on behalf of the experience I brought him to. We will be back I am sure, but probably not during the live performances if this is the result during those times. I would love to chat with the owner if he would like to discuss. Again, no foul, just trying to provide feedback. I hate to see one live performer stopping customers bringing business in. My 5 star rating dropped to 4 because of the experience last night.
Beerhead in New Albany is THE BEST!If you like craft beer, this is the spot for you.Even if you don’t like craft beer, the atmosphere is great, with a large patio partly shaded from the evening sun and other ample seating options. All the employees are great about wearing their masks and cleanliness, so I always feel safe when I come here. The food is on point and perfectly compliments the vast selection of craft beers. They also have a couple of seltzers, meads and gluten free drink options for those who prefer it.If you’re new to craft beer, all the employees go through training to help you select the best option based on your individual tastes. And samples are free! With 50 draft lines and at least 200 bottles/cans, there’s no way you won’t find something you like.I, personally, think it’s so fun to check in all the beers that I try on the Untappd Beer App and see my name up on the big tv screen. As far as food goes, you really can’t go wrong with the pizza, the boneless wings, the queso, or the salads. I have yet to try anything I wasn’t satisfied with. All the bartenders are super nice and personable and I definitely foresee this being a frequently visited spot for my boyfriend and I.Did I mention they have an app to get rewards for your purchases!?!??What’s not to love?
Don’t waste your time! Having lived in NA my whole life, we’re always excited when new restaurants open. I called and placed an order at 4:41 to be picked up at 5:40. I arrived a few minutes early (5:37) and was told it would be a few minutes. (Completely understandable since I was early) The hostess took my number and said she would text me when my food was ready (Salad, chips, wrap and nuggets). When I got the text I went inside and the order wasn’t mine. Ok, fine. Mistakes happen. So I stood inside for another 36 minutes waiting for my order. Not ONCE did anyone come talk to me (while standing in the doorway, wearing a mask, holding a 4 year old). After nothing more than a ‘1 minute’ finger gesture from the back kitchen area for more than 36 minutes I left. No food. No explanation.UPDATE: (8/15/20) I emailed the address provided per your request on 7/20 and still haven’t received a response?
Toxic management moved in here. The GM here is the kind of person that constantly wants to tell you about the Ben Shapiro podcast that she just listened to, and she legitimately markets her OnlyFans account to the tables that she serves. And youre probably thinking Why is the GM serving tables? See first sentence of this paragraph.

2022-02-06Beerhead Bar & Eatery ended up being a nice little surprise. My husband lives for pizza, so I thought I was throwing him a solid by choosing Beerhead for date night. Their craft beer draft list and spirits menu were pretty impressive, and they carried four (!) choices of his favorite beer (Masthead, Cleveland, Ohio). We started with the Barbarian Pretzel, which was delicious! It was also so big that we had to stop eating it or we’d never make it past the appetizer. Accompanied by honey mustard, another mustard, and our favorite, draft beer cheese, it was definitely a great choice. For the main course, we ordered two different pizzas to try - Goodfella (tomato sauce, shredded mozzarella, pepperoni, mild sausage, bacon, and oregano), and Chicagoland (tomato sauce, fresh mozzarella, giardiniera, and pepperoni). Both were wonderfully prepared and more along the lines of a New York style, albeit not exactly. The giardiniara is house made and perfectly spicy. The service was good - a little slow at first, but ended up great!

2021-12-12This was my first time here. Very friendly people/staff. Relaxed atmosphere and live music on Saturday night. No wait unlike many other places. There are lots of beer on tap, but I prefer mixed drinks. I got the Lavender Lemon French 75, see screenshot. Beautiful looking drink, very nice. We ordered a pizza, but the sauce tasted kind of like tomato soup so it wasnt awesome, but the meatballs and queso apps were fantastic. Will definitely return and try a different pizza.

2022-04-02Hidden gem. After 2 failed attempts trying to dinner at two other restaurants, we found Beerhead. And I am so grateful we did!!My first fear was they would not have any low top tables for those in my party who could not access a high top. They do have low top tables, but not very many. It is a small area, so someone using a walker or wheelchair to get around may have difficulties navigating the restaurant. Not impossible, even less difficult once the patio opens and during non-peak hours.I ordered the Buffalo pizza. I have enjoyed the same type of pizza from other establishments, but this was the best one, by far!Everyone in my party (4 of us) loved what they ordered! Large portions for reasonable prices. I can definitely see this becoming my go to spot to take friends and family.I cant speak for the taste or quality of the beer, but they did have (guessing) 8½x11, 12pt font, 2-sided menu listing their beer options. I also caught that they serve flights.Go and enjoy some food!

2022-06-20My husband and I went for lunch on Sunday. The service was great and the beer selection was impressive! We ordered the soft preztle which had delicious dipping sauces. My husband is usually particularly about beer cheese and he thought it was great. The pizza was also great too. Overall recommend and would go back (especially for their Hoppy Hour).

2022-05-07Nate was fantastic. He was the only one bartending and waiting on the entire restaurant. He stayed calm, composed and in good spirits. There was also only one person cooking in the kitchen. They both did an outstanding job despite being severely short staffed. The pretzel and pizza are a must! Awesome people and awesome food!

2022-03-27Service was great. They need to ditch the menu & stick to beer. The brisket grilled cheese had so very little cheese, maybe 2 pieces of jalapeno & a slab if brisket that was more fat than meat for $15. The brisket should be sliced thinner & actually cover the bread. Cheese needs to be added to actually make it a grilled cheese. Unfortunately we ordered 2 if them & were hungry so ate we what we could..$30 error.

2022-01-30The place is cool, foods good etc but a few things I would change. Being that it’s almost February get rid of the Christmas beers because…gross. Also the bartender has no idea what a flat beer looks like. The Yuengling was absolutely terrible. Water has more bubbles.

2020-12-27Had a great time here. Had live music and a great selection of beers. The Barbarian pretzel was awesome but it really is huge! Staff was amazing and the prices were more than reasonable. Covid protocols were great and had plenty of parking. Really enjoyed a few hours out at this place. Well be back again.

2022-03-27We have gone to Beerhead in the past and loved the food and environment but tonight was an extremely disappointing experience for my wife and I. We sat ourselves and waited for about 10 minutes before leaving while our server was too busy socializing with the cooks and chatting with What appeared to be her boyfriend at a nearby table. I can understand if the restaurant was busy however there were only a handful of tables taken.

2022-05-16The pretzel we ordered came with all of one kind of sauce - 3 of the same kind of sauce (the server indicated that this was a mistake and someone must have grabbed the wrong one).We received the other 2 sauces around 15 minutes later when the pizzas arrived. My first pizza was extremely under cooked and doughyAfter asking the pizza to be remade, about 20 minutes later I received another under cooked doughy pizza.I cut 2 pizza slices in half to show how under cooked the pizza was (my friends pizza was cooked fine initially and we knew what a cooked pizza should look like based on this example). After sitting at the table for around 10 minutes, we were able to flag the server down to ask for our checks (I did not want to chance a 3rd pizza at this point).I asked the server to speak to a manager and there was not any manager available to speak to and the server dropped off your card with the check.I emailed the manager from the business card the server dropped off and there was one reply without any follow up regarding food comps.
