I used Bears Towing recently through AAA to tow our truck a short distance to be repaired. A lady from Bears called me to tell me when the truck would arrive and was very kind and friendly. The driver was fast, professional, and friendly. I appreciate the prompt service and recommend.
I was traveling 1300 miles with my camper in tow. I burned up a bearing just before thier exit, it was Sunday night everything was closed.I spoke w the owner that night on the phone. He recommended I come in and ask for Scott on Monday morning . I did, and within a few hours, I was back up and on my way. Thier pricing was more than fair. It is a family owned business.I wouldnt hesitate to use them again and if your in need of assistance they have the equipment to be able to help you out.
I had a flat on my recent 1300 mile move. They came out quick after being contacted. The gentleman didnt have the exact tool needed so he towed me to the shop right nearby. Cut my spare free, aired it up and sent me on my way. Kind and professional.
Had trouble with my truck today: brakes locked up. Dave came to where my truck was stuck. He came in 10 minutes. Though their website says Burbank, apparently they have a local service garage in Wooster as well. Dave was superb and we crawled under the truck and found a snapped emergency brake line. He show me how to unlock it and with a little hammering it was freed up. No tow necessary, nor a trip to the dealer. Dang that was great. You may not have gotten a tow fee, but you guys have my business forever. Thanks again!
Good place, good people. Family organization in business for decades, run by a guy who rather looks like a bear(!), hence the name Bears Towing. Trusted by police and EMS to work on their official vehicles. Quality work at a fair price. They can tow, maintain, and repair just about anything that has an engine. This is a large facility on a large property, well enough equipped to put even an entire 18- wheeler tractor trailer up on their lifts. 24-hour towing in all kinds of weather. Easy to locate at the intersection of I-71 and state route 83 (exit # 204, Lodi/Wooster exit -- you cant miss the big sign on their large facility :-).

I honestly dont know what I would have just now done The lady who answered the phone it reminds me of be a mom and pop type of business was so empathetic to my issues was here from Holmes county went to two different gas stations here wasted money three different times on air that didnt even work went to the next place only to figure out that it deflated my whole tire they had a slit in there tubing I called Bears towing there would be nobody there to fix a tire or to help me for at least 40 minutes because there was a bad accident at the light God bless this woman she said if I can make it over if they would fix my tire I needed three others pumped upAnd you guys did all of that for me thank you so much God bless you
An unexpected roadside emergency left us out- of -towners stranded...but not for long! From the moment we placed the call to be towed, until our truck was repaired, we received OUTSTANDING service! So thankful for everything they done for us today! We could not have had a better experience anywhere else! Highly recommended!
The staff is super nice and helpful- they helped my daughter and some friends who were coming home and had an accident on 71. They helped get everyone to a safe location and made them feel comfortable and the gentleman was very happy personable!! I appreciate them taking care of my daughter and friends and my vehicle with great care!!

I had the worst experience of my life at bear towing. They were disrespectful, rude, answered the phone on speaker while they were in the middle of talking to us at the window and lost my car key. Absolutely would not recommend ever returning!
Excellent customer service! I thought I was going to have to have a $125 new tire. Moments later, the service tech came out and told me it was a pinhole puncture, easily repairable. Ten (TEN!) dollars and 15 minutes later, I am on the road again. As a woman traveling alone, this sort of experience restores my faith in humanity a little. Two thumbs up!
I unfortunately hit a nail on the highway, more than 200 miles from home. I called these guys 10 minutes after closing and they pull and plug my tire and have me back on the road in 20 minutes. Fair price also. Jake and Scott deserve your business.
Just amazing service and speed! Not from the area and shredded my tire on the highway in the early morning on a Saturday. They were there within twenty minutes and replaced my tire with my spare way cheaper than I ever would have expected and gave a great local recommendation for where to go to get a new one. So so happy they came up first when I googled for a tow.

Awesome experience. Had a flat tire in the late evening, within 45 minutes had a new tire for about 100 bucks. Staff was very friendly and honest, even placed my spare and parts back in the trunk after I made a mess of it all. All of this during a snow storm nonetheless, very impressed!-A very grateful customer
Jake charged us fairly to repair a camper tire even though they were closed for repairs and the holiday weekend. They were only open for towing but repaired it anyway for us. Jake was very helpful and knowledgeable. Definitely a 5 star place.
We are so thankful to these guys! Our alternator went and we were left stranded 100 miles from home. These guys fixed our car even though it was 30 min from closing time! Really friendly and just all around good people! Thanks guys😊
The day after Christmas I was heading to St. Louis from Rochester Ny to visit my grandchildren. I pulled off the interstate to get gas at 0830. When I started up the car, the exhaust pipe broke in two and the catalytic converter was dragging. I was so upset and frustrated. I could see the sign for BEARS Towing across the interstate and limped by vehicle over to them. I was almost in tears as I entered the office and explained my situation. The women behind the counter was so very welcoming and pleasant. She said that no matter what work they already had, they would at least fit me in and try to get me back on the road. The mechanic arrived 15 minutes later and took my car into the shop. It took 2 hours to locate the parts but they fixed up my car, repaired the pipe and I was on my way for an amazing $85.00. I was so very impressed with all of their staff working on the day after Christmas. Every member of their staff treated me with kindness and concern. I Left them $20 to buy pizza for the shop. I would highly recommend them for towing or repair service. I can never ever repay the kindness they show me that day, but they help me to see my 3 grandchildren that day and I am forever thankful...God Bless the family and crew of BEARS Towing
Ive been a customer there for years. I brought my car into day with a headlight out -- something easy I should have been able to fix myself, except this is a Jetta. Apparently, to replace the bulb you have to partially disassembly the front end: light fixture, grill, and bumper. It came down to a missing clip that held the bulb in.They couldnt complete the job because of the missing part, but they didnt charge me a dime. I didnt expect that and wouldnt expect that next time. But they were quick and efficient.Good job guys.
FOB stopped working for our vehicle, and of course it was running. We didnt have the key code (lesson learned 😒) as it was sitting in the glove box. No tools ourselves to get it open. Mind you this was at 3 a.m. (work), and the man had just been on another call. He was very polite and said he tried to get here as quickly as he could. It literally only took him five seconds to unlock it.I gave 4 stars because their customer service needs some work. When I called and asked for a price range, the woman on the phone gave me a price. I gave her the information she needed. I still had questions, but as soon as she got our payment information she said goodbye and quickly hung up. Sure theyre probably busy, but at least make sure the customer doesnt have questions/concerns?
Fantastic service. Hit an object on the road and did damage to the car and had to be towed. Took car to their garage and they went to work repairing it giving us priority as we were from out of town. The mechanics were busy but fit us in. I thought that because we were a captive customer that the price was going to be high for the repair. Nope, it was fair and reasonable. The car worked perfectly and their work did not have to be re-worked by my BMW garage. Wish they were in my neighborhood. TOM
Car lost serpentine belt on 71 due to a failed water pump (I was to find out). I just happened to be at the off ramp where Bears is at. With the car quickly approaching redline temps, I didnt have many options so I entrusted the repair to them. So glad I did. They were very helpful, customer focused, and great communicators. Prices were very reasonable and even though they found other things wrong, they did not perform any repairs without my okay.I dont understand the previous posters 1-star review... did they go to the same place I did? The pits? As quickly as they helped it was more like a pit stop. Thanks guys!
Fraudulent. Stay away! I showed up at 845 to pick up a 9am Uhaul appointment. They get distracted and focus on stuff that doesnt matter with other customers. I was then rudely told to not pick up a uhaul before 9am. We are too busy. Then they wouldnt give me my rental because I had an out of state DL. I told them it has never been an issue before. The lady got indignant. So i had my wife drive 30 minutes to come rent it for me. I also called uhaul. And while on the phone with uhaul, they heard the employee give me incorrect information that would have cost me $250. This place is fraudulent, incompetent, and rude. Stay away!
Fast, Friendly, Reliable. I called this guy at 4:45 a.m. I had a flat tire that I couldnt get the lug nuts off of it. The last guy working on the tire put them on too tight. I did not have to wait long for the truck to show up and the guy had a good attitude. Especially for someone who woke up at 4:45 a.m. Highly recommended.

Top notch professionals. My hot shot f350 broke down at the rest area. Within 20 minutes they sent a rollback and another truck to tow my truck and trailer down to the closest dealership. Driver even brought me to the hotel I ended up staying at for the night. Highly recommend and they wont rip you a new one! Thanks again guys

My car wouldnt start, so they towed it to their shop. I was in a hurry, and they worked quickly to diagnose and fix the problem. They went the extra mile to fix my hood latch issue for me as well. Great customer service and extremely friendly and professional staff.
I just had my car towed from Burbank to Cleveland after the axle went out. Matt was very professional and was very kind. AAA gave some of the wrong info like the telephone number and the exact location. But Matt kept driving until he found me!! Got me and my car home safe! Would definitely recommend this company!
On 7/15/2014 I picked up my vehicle which was in the repair shop to stop it from overheating. After driving it for only 40 minutes after leaving the shop, the vehicle began to overheat exactly as it had prior to me paying for it to be repaired.I immediately called and spoke with the mechanic (Kevin) about the issue. He simply told me to take it to another shop and let him know what happens. He started telling me about a dozen possible reasons it could be overheating.On 7/18/14 I called again and spoke with the owner Stephanie Kufner. She told me that the parts that were installed were under warranty, so if I had a problem with the parts then she could help me, but, the fact that the car is overheating is due to another issue and I need to take it to a local mechanic so they can fix it.I did not take my car to their shop to simply have arbitrary parts installed that would not fix the problem. I took it there for it to stop overheating and it was still overheating in less than an hour of leaving their shop.In addition to their incompetence for actually solving the issue that my vehicle was in their shop for in the first place, they were extremely unprofessional and took an incredibly long time to return my vehicle to me.I say unprofessional, because they never called me about my vehicle, I had to keep calling them to find out the status. I would then be told that the vehicle would be ready that day & I should expect a call, which would never actually happen. It took about a full week for me to get me vehicle back for a job that was supposed to take 4-5 hours.I say rude, because when I went to get my vehicle, I politely asked if I could see it prior to signing the paper work that was being pushed on me to sign. The person, who I later found out is actually an owner, literally rolled her eyes & yelled for someone to “come take this guy to see his car”, then she yelled, “he has not paid yet”.This place is the pits.
I almost had to call a tow truck myself after your driver merged into my lane without looking. Luckily I have good brakes and was able to get out of the way with mere inches to spare. I guess if he didnt have a load already the response time would have been excellent.

Matthew turner helped me out for around four hours from 1am to 5am and was very helpful with his experience. Definitely one of the best tow truck drivers that I’ve ever had or seen.
Literally being hooked up to the winch as we speak! Super friendly and definitely worked with a sense of urgency. I am from cincinnati stranded up here i call them and 10 minutes later i have a guy here taking care of us!!! If you ever need a tow bears towing is where you need to be!!!! Thank you guys for all your help so i can get my family back home. Definitely a great ending to a horrible day!!
Had to call them at 3am when my uhaul broke down at the top of an exit ramp in Lodi. They couldnt have been nicer. Got us back on the road in less than 3 hours with a recommendation for a great place to get breakfast. Highly recommend!
Very helpful, got stuck at the previous exit with a flat tire, luckily there was an emergency service vehicle to fill the tire up at the rest stop, made it to this exit, searched on Google for used tire places and found nothing. Went in to the Loves across the street and they passed word of mouth. This place needs more coverage, theyre really awesome and reasonably priced.
Bear’sTowing was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and fair when I needed a loaded quad axle dump truck pulled out of a sink hole. They assessed the situation, came up with a good plan and executed it well.
On March 24, 2015 I was travelling from CT to IN. My 2014 vehicle broke down in Burbank, OH. AAA dispatched Bears Towing. Both father and son were extremely friendly, helpful and kind. I would not hesitate to recommend them. They were terrific!

I would give zero stars if possible. I slid off the road and was stuck in the snow. There tow came to pull me out and damaged my exhaust doing over $100 in damage. I was in the car and heard it happen but yet they lied and of course said it was my fault. And i have a cop as a witness. They Said The impact of the loose snow must have bent my flex pipe and busted steel welds. We had to go as far as filing a lawsuit, waiting for the court date now.
Despite the fact that they were extremely busy with a tractor trailer accident, they found a way to come help us with a flat on our 4-horse trailer. They got us and our horses back on the road in no time! We had a long journey still ahead of us so we were grateful! Thank you Bears Towing!
On 2-28-20 I was Tboned by another car on my passenger side of my pickup truck on my home from my last job for the day. Bears came and was nice and picked up my tools and supplies that night and the next day. Thankyou Bears
I called looking for a hookup with a bear and they were so unprofessional. I was looking to go the full distance and willing to pay top dollar for their services, yet they didnt want anything to do with me. I couldnt believe no one was cumming. So much for roadside service. I ended up spending the night alone in a rest stop bathroom until someone could pick me up the next morning. Think hard before you bother calling this clown show.
Have my car towed almost a month ago call in every day and get told they will call me back with a price to get it out and never call I know its going up daily I called three to four times a day with nothing poor customer service
Had my car towed by this company. Even though the car was being towed to another shop, the tow guy me exactly what the problem was with my car and took the time to show me. He was very nice and their service was prompt.

I would never recommend them anyone. They don’t know their job, and they are robbers.I told them what was wrong on my car they just looked for the parts in computer, how long does delivery needed, they didn’t do anything and charged me for 186$ for nothing. I would never go back!!! Robbers!!!
Had a flat tire. Tow truck came and had no tools with him. So we had to wait longer. Then driver didnt know about the lug nuts being on so now they are strip, about to leave without unjacking car back.

Live 2 1/2 hrs away had a family emergency in Cleveland... Well on are way home are passenger side tire started to show the wire on outside wall... Well having 2 of are 7 kids with us didnt want to chance it so we tryd the chevy dealership they said they had to cut are spare out and it would ruin are tire.... We took are vehicle to bears towing and cut are spare down took it of the rim and put it on the actual rim $42 latter (great deal) we were safe on the road...

Outrageous on there tow charges for 1. They really over charge for police calls give you the run around for what reason who nos ..Im opening up a tow company right next door just to charge less this just makes me sick how do these people sleep at night bums

2022-03-19Rick from Bears Towing rescued us from a dangerous spot on the highway. We didnt know where we were, he found us and pulled up like a Boss! Rick was willing to change the tire but I decided to get towed to a safer place. He even recommended a tire place for us. Thank you Rick! We made a friend for life.

2022-04-10The drivers have always been friendly and very helpful. However my last experience I dealt with the office for the first time regarding my 16 yo son’s truck. I called for information as the parent and the lady I spoke with wasn’t very friendly and I was told she didn’t have any info or know anything about the situation and when my son’s dad called in soon after she was able to read the entire report to him which caused some issues.

2022-07-06If I could give them less than one star I would. I had what could be considered a minor emergency. After much back and forth with the woman who answered the phone, she agreed to send someone out roughly 3 hours after I called. Never showed up. On top of that, the tow was quoted around $100. Then she tells me its another $7 per tow mile. Ive been towed a few times before and have never had that charge. 100% would not recommend

2022-06-16Long waits. If you need to get your car towed do not come here. I recently requested a roadside tow and had to wait over an hour just to get a phone call saying they could not tow me. Very unprofessional. No respect for customers whatsoever.

2021-12-13My opinion, they did a great job. They told us 15 minutes, driver showed up in 12 minutes.We where getting our limo which we own ,towed home it threw a belt.Tow truck driver went out of his way to be extra careful, what a great job. I hope I dont every need a tow. However if I do ,I will call them first. Price was very fair. Thank you guys.

2021-12-22Driver was kind and helpful, lady who answered phone, same thing. They were patient with getting authorization from my insurance. Easy to talk to and with which is important. Made a tough situation feel not so tough. Hard to do in these days. Id like to Thank them for a job well done on Every level! I would recommend them to anyone.
