They left my sister who is sick with pancreatic cancer MS and diabetes in a urine soaked bed as she was allowed to go into insulin shock. Most times when I would arrive she was doubled over on the edge of the bed ready to fall off and pain .If we had not shown up at that moment she would have died suffering that day. we reported them to hospice also I heard a mans yelling down the hall for help as he was being ignored they never had ice on the floor they would not even give her nutritional drink to help her because she could not eat solid food the place has filthy floors and smells bad and they never answer the phone also the staff hangs out in the nursing station never around her new cell phone and charger turned up missing no security whatsoever she was on 2nd floor . The hospice nurse who came in told me and I quote the aids here suck and she encouraged us to report them to the administrator And ombudsman
It takes hours to receive any form of care wether it be medication, a simple glass of water, assistants with mobility. The staffing makes the residents feel like its an inconvenient to the very personnel who chose this profession. There is an extreme lack of compassion, an extreme lack of security. A resident can look forward to being left for 3 or more hours sitting/lying in there own waste before being cleaned and changed. The cleanliness of the facility is at the very lowest of the list of priorities. I could go on and on.
Accommodating. Pleasant for the most partAround the clock respiratory therapy (Coby,Jeff, Ms.Tonya and Feta) were all awesome. The nursing staff were great(Keisha,Sandusky, Adrian,Audrese Frances) with the exception of 1 or 2 bad apples. But with hands on management (ADON Viola)all issues had been aggressively addressed. They allowed me and my spouses family access to him 24hrs a day. If he was having a hard time and we needed to stay the night they allowed us to occasionally. All the while teaching and preparing us for the transition home. The nurses and respiratory staff who educated me were instrumental in his successful discharge, with services set up for respiratory/ventilator and feeding tube supplies and the skill to address those needs ourselves. The experience was not anywhere near the other horror stories. I have no REAL complaints. I was able to make his room homey, also he was very specific as to what meds he would and would not take each day....so as one SHOULD the nurses got in the habit of going over his med list with him so he was informed as to what he was being given. Hes alert and very much aware of EVERYTHING and for the most part was treated with respect. As a non verbal vent patient to have a nurse come into the room and position herself to speak directly to him and made an effort to engage , did my heart good. This was a pretty good group of nurses.
This place doesnt deserve one star. This facility was the worst facility that I have ever been in. My husbands life could have been saved if these lazy LPNs would pay more attention to the needs of my husband. I dont like anyone there. If it werent for their negligence, my husband would have been living. I blame Bambi, the head nurse, STNAs and LPNs for sitting on their lazy asses talking instead of doing their job. This is a rotten facility. Plus it smells so bad. I am angry and appalled by the ill treatment my husband received. I wont recommend this horrible place to my worst enemy.
I transferred to the facility per my request in July 2017 as ADON. The current staff is excellent, I could not ask for a better team. There has been many changes and we will continue to make improvements. I appreciate my staff so much for the hard work they do and the great care they provide to the residents and families.
Absolutely the worst care that I’ve ever seen-over an hour wait for pain meds for a hospice patient.-hospice also had complaints regarding staffing missing from the facility.Multiple resident la screaming in pain .. not getting medsDon’t take your loved one to this location.
My family had thier items stolen and damaged. The nurse management was notified about dizziness and possible falls . She didnt take my concerns serious enough to place him on fall precautions, bed alarm and rounding to check on him for safety. They never notified his guardian on medication administrated or visit, visitors or outtings. I had the meeting on Oct 17th on Oct 20th he had a fall witness by the staff and taking to emergency department. He was admitted for low blood pressure . After a few changes to medication was ready for discharge and admissions dept refused his return. They blamed his mental illness and banned him from returning without any supporting reports before, during or after fall and my complaint regarding their staff about any mental status change of any sort. Shame on them......
This is a horrible place to take your elderly loved ones.My mother has been here for about 5 months and they are always 1-2 hours late changing her or bathing her. Some of the nursing aids are very mean and rude to my mother and even sometimes refuse to give her minimal care when she asks.
Very unprofessional, understaffed all the time, unsafe for patients coming from a patient advocate, nurses to patient ratio his horrific, unorganized, call light ring for hours my grandfather was having a seizure and nobody new everybody was a nursingstation esting and no stna on the floor i took him right out of there if i could give this facility no stars i would been stat ohio health despatment and the ombudsman for pt advocate stays at that facility and the administrator team needs work

2022-06-20I wish I could give this place no stars. My father had a stork and was left disable afterwards. This place neglected him. He was rusted to the hospital after a seizure and the doctor informed me that he had bed sores and very low med levels. Which meant that he was getting his medication on time. I pulled him out of there immediately. Also the staff is terrible at answering the phones. And if they do they put you on hold for a long time and then hang up.

2021-11-29Terrible place. They treat your family like trash. From the secretary to the nurses. The nurses have no skills the inside of the facility looks like old and out dated. The stna are lazy and don’t give patients baths. Food is disgusting. Please don’t send your family here.

2017-07-18My Mom has been there for almost 3 months now. The facility is older, but it is clean. We have found that the staff is friendly and willing to help. You are greeted by a smiling face(s) when you walk through the doors and throughout the facility. I hear happy conversation from the patients as I walk through the hallways which makes me feel good. The staff seem to genuinely care and I feel that they have the best interests of their patients at heart. We recently moved my Mom here from a nursing home that was a true nightmare. I know it is hard to find good care because the demand is currently so high especially for memory patients but I do sleep well at night since she arrived at Beachwood Pointe. The meals look appetizing and they are varied. They do have activity time for the residents. My only complaint could be that there are a couple of facility maintenance issues and some things like chairs and tables could be upgraded with some newer models. I guess if more money could be raised in taxes or something for nursing facilities that could ease some of this.

2020-10-05Beachwood Pointe has amazing leaders! The Administrator of Beachwood will address any concern you have. He has heart and amazing energy! The Director of Nursing is very experienced and is highly involved with every patient’s care. She has many wonderful unit managers that support her.Our Respiratory team is compromised of many years of highly trained therapists with years of experience.Beachwood Pointe’s memory care unit has many consistent nurses and consistent staff with patient’s care. A crucial element to patients and residents experiencing cognitive deficits or dementia.

2020-10-01This is a wonderful place to work. The building is definitely a little older but still very clean and functional. The staff cares about the residents here and the residents enjoy it here. Working in this activities department is the most fun abd fulfilling job Ive ever had.

2019-08-06Beachwood pointe has very caring and compassionate staff. Upon entering the facility I was greeted by a friendly receptionist who helped me find my location. The staff was very educated and supportive to all my questions. I feel confident in the team at Beachwood Pointe- Also I want to point out my wife is the DON and I know how much time and effort she puts in. She may not be perfect but I’m very proud of her and of the team she is creating. Go Beachwood you all rock!!

2019-08-06The Human resources guy flirted with my family then, when she didnt acknowledge his flirt he tried blocking her from helping our family member. This place is Horrible Andre from human resource is Horrible and not helpful. The Administrator and Director of Nurses go along with all the Mis behaviour that the staff does. They dont answer call lights. The staff talks rudely and human resources flirts inappropriately. Dont go to this facility. Also the Nurses say its a very bad place to work. 2018-03-04It was clean. Thats all I can say really. When I came here several months ago, it was clearly super understaffed because I only saw one respiratory therapist and nurse for that whole floor and that is dangerous. I dodged a bullet by choosing not to work here. I knew immediately the management was trash especially the administrator who interviewed me because when residents were complaining to him in front of me about how they felt they werent getting the care they needed, he goes and brushes it off like it doesnt matter and even goes on to talk badly about the residents who complained. It was one ear and out the other. Very unprofessional and said a lot. He told me I better be near dying if I end up working here and need to call off. Um what?!Even after that terrible red flag, you hire me on the spot, I accept it, but you NEVER call me back even when I kept calling you to figure out why HR has not contacted me and its been a month. The receptionist kept lying to me about when they were going to call me back instead of being honest and saying they dont have the resources or time to train anybody. HR was rude as well. If the higher ups dont care, then the apple doesnt fall far from the tree for those nurses and STNAs because its understaffed there and they are probably overworked. Dont bother coming here. Pay more money and take your loved one to a better facility.

2020-11-21I wish I could negative stars. Never answers phone. Neglectful to residents. Makes me hate nursing homes. Should call them non-nursing, terrible homes. Sent my mom out septic but apparently she had beennnn septic. And mostly septic due to their neglectful practices. Wish I could sue
