Wanted to edit my review (still 5 stars). This was my first apartment I lived in by myself and I’ve been here now for nearly 5 years. Management and leasing office employees have always been awesome, Ms. Betty is the BEST, always incredibly helpful and kind. I still love my apartment as much now as the day I moved in. Hoping to upgrade to a bigger version at the end of this year and I know they’ll make it a breeze.
Bayside is a well-managed and well-maintained complex, and Ive enjoyed living here so far. Heres a comprehensive list of pros and cons.Context: Ive lived here just over a month and live in a two-bedroom Gem layout, in one of their newer buildings.Pros:-By far the best perk of Bayside are the STELLAR leasing agents at the leasing office, Bev and Betty. They are both professional, kind, courteous, understanding, accommodating, helpful, and reliable. (Any reviews complaining about them are probably from people who are breaking the rules and getting in trouble with them.) They have been a delight to work with all through my process of touring, applying, signing, moving in, and getting settled-Location is very convenient. Just down the street is a Krogers, a Meijer, a Walmart, a Target, a Sams Club, a boatload of restaurants, and I-70. And just down the other street is I-270. Youre close to everything!-The Gem 2-bedroom garden layout is awesome: big open kitchen with tons of cabinets, large dining/family area, lots of closet and storage space, high ceilings, lush carpet, high-quality faux-wood linoleum flooring. My wife and I LOVE the layout and floorplan. Little details like trim on the tops of the walls and decorative light fixtures add a little pizzazz and classiness.-There are an abundance of power outlets, ethernet ports, and cable ports in every room. (At least, for the Gem layout in a newer building.)-So far, I havent seen any sign of crime in the area.-Residents are friendly and courteous.-On-site pool.-Appliances include dishwasher, laundry, central air-We havent had any problem with noise from our neighbors-No sign of pests or rodents (except for a very persistent spider that keeps building a web in the corner of our front door frame, no matter how many times we knock it down . . .)Cons:-There are a lot of geese and a lot of geese poop in the complex (although thats common in a lot of places in the area).-Some units in the complex are newer and nicer than others. Im in a newer unit, but Ive heard other units are not as nice of a layout or not in as good condition because theyre older.-The maintenance team is currently very busy. My experience so far is that they DO eventually get around to work orders, but it could take 2-3 weeks. (They do take care of emergency issues very promptly, though.)-Parking lots are all cracked and pockmarked and could use a resurfacing.-There are very few quiet grassy places to let kids run around. There is only one playground in the complex, and its not suitable for younger kids.-The only exit from the complex is onto a very busy street (Hilliard Rome Road), which can be convenient (see above) but also can make you feel a little trapped if you prefer small, quiet roads.-There is no recycling available on-site. If you want to recycle, you have to drive it to a row of community bins behind the nearby Kroger.Despites its imperfections, Bayside is a safe, responsible location with a great management team and plenty of perks. 2022-03-05I have lived here for 8 years. First, I have problems constantly with my water bill. When I speak with management they do next to nothing to help me. I have had bills of more than $149.00 in a month. This is crazy, because I live alone with my cat. There is simply no way I use that much water. When I talk with the office they come to my unit and inspect for leaks, and they tell me that I have none. I called the separate company they use for the water, and after bugging them they realized that the meter was bad. The office did refund the difference that time. For a couple of months my water bill was fairly reasonable, but then it went back up. In January I was charged $149.00 Now this month it was about $100.00 So the problem persists. In the winter there is a draft which comes through both my windows, and my front door too. To add insult to injury they raise my rent from 30 to 50 dollars per year. Most of the office staff are not so friendly either.I do like the fact that my apartment has a loft, and I feel pretty safe living here. They also come into each unit every 3 months for quarterly inspections. I have lived in many apartments in my 64 years, and rent doesnt keep going up.

2022-02-20I have been here at countryview for 3 years now and I love it. Im not going to say its all been peaches and cream, but for the most part if I have any maintenance issues they come right away. Ms. Cathy and Ms. Betty are angels they work in the office. They are really nice and always so warm towards me. Cant beat the price that I pay for my loft and I love the school system. Every one on my side seems to stay to themselves and its very quiet out here. The only complaint I really have is the pot holes I have called about on Puma place that still have not been plugged up so its like playing dodge ball to park. I love opening my door and seeing all the nature. Ducks, Geese, Rabbits, and sometimes even deer. Overall the community I live in is one of the reasons I have renewed my lease so many times.

2022-05-21Bayside apartments is the BEST PLACE TO LIVE IN !!! We been living here for 10 Years. And we LOVE IT SO MUCH !!!❤️ The staff is always so nice. The maintenance is always on time. In 10 Years we never had problems with nobody. Thank you very much to the management !!! God bless you all !!!🙏

2022-07-135 months ago I moved here and it was great but since then, I have had multiple issues and I will say a lot of people on maintenance are extremely nice and helpful. On the other hand, management is an absolute joke and overall not a great place. I would never recommend living here for the prices they charge with the amount of issues I have had. Since March 2022, my AC unit has went out 3 times and management knew I needed a new unit but just did small fixes. Lisa specifically is extremely rude and disrespectful and they just do not understand. 0/5 honestly. The pool is also very disgusting and never cleaned.

2022-07-15The folks at Bayside have been very helpful with both the large projects that affect all of the tenants - repaving, maintenance issues, safety tips - but also any small problems that may crop up, like a burner that didnt work properly on our stove. The staffs prompt responses to questions that we have is very reassuring.

2022-06-16That’s the worst apartment I’ve lived in. The service is terrible if something breakdown at your apartment it would take so much time to be fixed from them. The air conditioning is not working for like 3 days and they’re saying use fans instead. One of the people who work at the office is so mean and was saying racist things to me. They keep adding fees from nowhere to the rent. I would never recommend this apartment to anyone. It’s more than terrible.

2022-04-05If I could give ZERO stars I would, however, Google says at least one. So, lets start with how this entire CountryView West side belongs in the projects. Sure they look acceptable to the naked eye, far away that doesnt know any differently. However, once that lease is signed everything goes down hill. 1st, PAY ATTENTION to what youre signing. Habitat for Humanity donation? CANCEL THAT! Habitat DOESNT provide equal housing to ALL & they dont provide equal employment to ALL, GO check a few of their stores out. You do NOT have to agree to that!!! 2nd, Community Fee, WHY when you have main lights NOT working, grounds covered in Goose droppings, trash EVERYWHERE (dumpster areas as well) & OH lets not get onto the potholes EVERYWHERE! 3rd, GET YOUR OWN RENTERS INSURANCE!!! If anything happens, their OVERPRICED renters doesnt cover YOUR stuff even IF its THEIR fault. Therefore, cancel that and get your own, its cheaper. 4th, the properties themselves arent handled properly by maintenance, so you WILL have issues and expect slum lord fixes if anything gets done. 5th, Bev is condescending and obviously racist, she definitely needs FIRED! Jennifer Regional, doesnt even try to rectify anything and she also acts too good for this place, IF she even acknowledges you. I couldnt stand how everyone needs to speak to Jenny 1st. WHY? Does she seriously have you all on that short of leashes? Finally, JUST DONT! If you can go ANYWHERE else, DONT go here, especially if you have pre-existing health issues. These are supposed to be smoke free, yet a few of my neighbors smoked inside & NOTHING was ever done about it. BEST thing I did was move from this place! GOOD LUCK to the few employees that actually DID try to properly do their job here. Im sorry for the tenants that are STUCK dealing with that mess. Not me anymore!!!!

2021-07-27I wouldn’t recommend anyone moving here. They opened the pool for less than a month just to look good because they’re going under new management soon. My fiancé called the office to complain about the pool being green/brown over the weekend and they called back on Saturday. On Monday, they took all the water out of the pool and said they closed it down because it was a pool pump was vandalized. Sounds pretty fishy to me!Now they are putting down that we violated our lease agreement due to the complaint! My room is has mold because they refuse to fix the drains in the bathtub. I have young children that live here and I have asthma. It can hurt us to breathe in a lot of mold.Don’t move here! It will save you the headache!
