All of the workers follow different rules. One day they let me have a few paper plates and plastic silverware, the next day they’re locked up and there’s no way to get them. One day my card stops working cause of my phone being against it and I can get a new key, the next day I need a new key they say I’m not the one paying for the room so I need to be approved by the person paying so I’m locked out of the room until the named person on file comes to tell them it’s okay to let me have a key even though I’ve had a key and I’ve been staying there for days. Lastly, I heard some of the comments a worker made after getting off the phone with a customer and unprofessional is a generous word to use for the way she was talking. Microwave in room didn’t work and in 5 days they made no effort to replace or fix it and I had to microwave all my food in the front lobby area my whole stay
This hotel is terrible!! I was charged through the corporate lodging. They asked for a credit card for a damage waver. However, they charged the card for two nights at the hotel as well. Called to have it fixed as I can clearly see that charges and she said the card was NEVER charged. What a terrible way to do business. Be careful of extra charges when you stay there!
Very dirty rooms!!! Key card did not work until 3rd or 4th tryFyi you never asked how my stay was because i never came to the front desk! So i never told you it was great. Second i could of went on a lot more!!! Like tub would not drain, bugs in the bathroom we killed. Needed towels but they were all dirty you couldnt find any, sorry this review upset you!!!!! But it took a container of wipes to get the dirt off the tv, ALL hard surfaces, and the wipes were black
Our first room smelled of black and mills so strong we had to change rooms. The next room they gave us appeared to not of had the bathroom cleaned. The rooms are what you would expect at a red roof. We were disappointed to say the least. However the lady working the desk was very friendly.
The night manager was very polite and professional however the $100 deposit fee was never returned to me it’s been 4 days now also the room I was assigned to was filthy and the tub was disgusting I woke up with a bites on my shoulder and neck not sure if it was from a bed bug or spider please read reviews before staying at any hotel could save you time and money. I will not be staying here again.
Absolutely disgusting! There was crumbs and sauce on the bed upon arrival. Hair in the sink and crumbs all over the chair, tables and floor. Tried to offer another room which had makeup on the counter, nail clipping on the floor and stains all over the place. Unwilling to give refund despite only being there for less then an hour, long enough to find other arrangements. Would never recommend this hotel to anyone.
We will never EVER stay here again, we were charge $50 for pink and blue stained towels 2 hands towels and a bath towel? Lets not forget to mention that when I spoke to the desk on the previous call there were ZERO notes on my reservation but less than 12hrs after NOW there are notes?? The hotel smelled of animal urine which should have been the first sign that we should have turned and left. The man checking in, in front of us was offered the option to pay his mandatory deposit of $100 with cash and would be returned to him at check out but we use a card and are charged for something that didnt happen?? Dont both there are much nicer places in Canton to stay.
This could be the worst hotel Ive ever stayed in. Very dirty to the point of being gross. They gave our room away before we got there even though we called and then the room did not have three beds as was advertised. The staff was extremely rude when an issue arose and seems no one but the owner can make a decision about anything. Definitely staying at a Hilton based hotel from now on.
Positive: We were in a room that was cold and the heater didn¿t work right. Told the staff member and she moved us into a different room and it was not the cleanest room but worked for the night. Negative: That things need to be really updated and fixed before you sell out a room.
We where in room 426 the heater fan was so load every time it turned on it woke me up. the water did not shut off in the bathroom. And to top it off they charged my credit card 2 times and then denied it and said they didn’t go through even I showed them on my phone. and the owner said I don’t care about that. And threaten to call the sheriffs on me for arguing with him. Stay away if you go there your asking for trouble. Thank Sean
My husband and i stayed here and we won a stuffed bulldog from dave n busters, they are now trying to say that the stuffed dog from dave n busters is a pet trying to keep my deposit, the lady at the front desk was ridiculous rude when i tried to explain that it was a stuffed animal, i am also allergic to dogs so it makes even less sense that it was an actual pet. they say they have footage of a pet going into the room (which they refuse to show me) overall horrible experience.
I checked out a day early for personal reasons but their pool is nasty as well as jacuzzi. Left rashes and open wounds on my children maybe bc high chlorine idk but it doesnt seem to filter water in either. Also Im waiting on my refund for the day I paid for and didn stay. But congratulations for only being able to serve those of us working with a low budget bc they could never serve high class people. They are LOW CLASS.
Positive: Location to McKinley high school where many high schools across several states come to compete. Desk worker was polite and tried to make the stay pleasant considering the circumstances. Negative: Bedbugs in one room, heavy smell of cigarette smoke in another, heater didnt work, flickering lights, remote didnt work in third room. A couple of other families that were going to stay at Baymont found other places to stay due to similar issues.

The room was poorly cleaned and there was a huge black hand print on the wall of shower. It took over a hour for me to access the room Because the key.
They charged my credit card then told me they were booked. But not until I went in. Rude lady at the front desk told me she charged my card for the room and a $150 deposit, but they were booked. Why charge my card. Ive been to this place before. Not the cleanest and they want a $150 deposit to make sure you leave the room clean?! Never again!!!
I’m going to say my visit was okay ! The hot tub jet is broken , and the hot tub water was itchy , I told the front desk they need to drain it and clean it out they didn’t listen . My sister went this weekend and the hot tub was stuff up . And her and my nephews was itchy and stuff to . I feel like I should of got a discount, but it’s cool .
Positive: I enjoyed the breakfast. Negative: The location was industrial ; there was no scenery ; the only big chair in the room was filthy . I requested a blanket to place over the chair. The experience was deplorable. What disturbed me the most ; it was my birthday weekend .
The pool was closed ,they lied said it was gonna open up that they had to clean it they never opened it up!! they shut breakfast down before 9 oclock at 8:45 they shut it down . .. You are not allowed to bring your pets in but yet the people behind the desk had 2 pets sitting there as I checked out today...

Should have trusted the reviews....upon checking in there was a 45 minute wait because they had one kid by himself checking everyone in...when u walk in u will be hit with the smell of wet mold in the hallway...the rooms was fairly clean but was very outdated...u can see the wallpaper peeling in the bathroom where the steam had ruined in...we stayed with a 3 and 1 year old(which can be messy)...we was told a $100 deposit was required which we paid but then $50 was only deposited...when asked the man said call back in the morning cuz he doesnt see no notes as to why...whe we called in the morning the lady said towels was ruined with blue and pink dye...one small hand towel was used to clean purple juice and even if it was stained which I dont believe so because strong bleach and cleaner should be used on a towel that is used by many...not to mention $50 for one towel...definitely will be contacting corporate
I love the fact they are pet friendly and have an indoor pool. The rooms are nice and comfortable and so far, no problem with the staff. They have been very courteous and enjoyable. Free parking, surveillance, and free breakfast are pretty awesome too. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it
VERY bad charged me over 500 for my daughters birthday party twitch 3 adults and 3 kids and also they put WAY to much clorine in the pool to where it gave 3 of my kids hives all over there body’s and they only gave us four towels and gave everyone else a bunch and also very bad service
Positive: Nothing Negative: There was bedbugs. Woke up on my 2nd night there with something crawling on me brushed it off an killed it found out it was a bedbug. Immediately checked out couldnt get a refund even tho I had video an picture proof of the dead bug in my bed.
Great staff very friendly and helpful. Room clean and comfortable beds. Would suggest closing pool at 7 for kids so adults can enjoy . Closing at 9 is a bit early. Also taking off breakfast photos on line would be nice as a bag with water a small cup of fruit and a granola bar is not breakfast. Also 1 bag per room. Really who does that. Some had 5 kids.and paid for those kids. Over all a good stay. Hopefully management will invest in the needed repairs and address the customers issues. Good value for the price. Seen no bed bugs hoping not to bring any home.

Positive: The girl working the front desk in the morning was helpful and friendly. Good location, close to where I needed to be. The night worker was not that friendly while I checked in. Negative: My room was not clean. The floor didn¿t look like it was vacuumed. There was hair in the shower from a previous guest all over the walls. Crumbs on the night stand and desk. Very outdated looking and the walls/ door looked dirty or could use paint.
This was the worst hotel I have ever experienced. READ THE REVIEWS before you book. Their poor star review says it all. The staff at the front desk (particularly the Indian)was unwilling to accommodate our arrangements. They battled us for absolutely no reason and billed us for the night even when we booked with FREE CANCELLATION! How they got our credit card number is unbeknownst to us. Shady customer service overall. They will also respond with a very unprofessional response which shows how terrible of a company this is. We will never book with Baymont ever again. You just lost impeccable customers and we will tell everyone we know.
Malfunctioning fire alarm went off twice last night. Fire department arrived both times. No working hot tub! No breakfast! The hallway smelled like drugs were being used on the 4th floor. Alarm clock was going off in the empty room next to us. Tried to called down to the front desk and the phone didnt work! The front desk attendant was in the back, and said he would go check out the alarm clock and turn it off. He never did. The fire department should shut this place down until their malfunctioning alarms are fixed. A refund should be given or people should have been sent to another hotel on Baymont
Was not clean, the halls were dirty the elevator was dirty the pool had foam or something similar footing in it my kids had to get out, we left after being there barely an hour and trying to get a refund for a room we could not stay in and did not stay in has been like pulling teeth. The manager does not return calls and we have yet to receive a refund for a room we couldn’t use. It was very disappointing and the staff makes claims of being professional and trying to run a business but the woman at the front desk was dressed in sweat pants and if it was a professional business it wouldn’t have been dirty or had things floating in the pool. And it would not be this difficult to reach someone or get our money back. Some staff I have spoken with in my attempts to reach the manger have been very polite and understand and professional but it’s been 2/10 . Also said online they had a hot tub and continental breakfast but had neither.
Staff wasn’t wearing mask was odd to me. Shower had hair in it that was not mine. The hallways were dirty. The woman that was taking care of the complimentary breakfast was very kind and helpful. Provided everything that I needed even though it was towards the end of breakfast
Positive: The location was very convenient for the places I was going to. Negative: I had to request a different room, because the toilet in the first room did not function properly. The hotel could use a good cleaning. I was also charged an additional $50 (supposed to be a hold).
Positive: Alot of shopping areas near by and gas station near too. Kids loved the pool and that area was nice to relax in due to not being busy. Negative: Pool opens late, the staff has an issues with giving extra towels like they think you are going to take them, counter/tables in the room were sticky, beds/pillows are extremely uncomfortable, need exhaust fan in bathroom to help against water damage.
This hotel has terrible customer service. The front desk was unwilling to help us out with issues that occurred on arrival. The ceiling above the TV in the lobby was falling out. We had so many issues that we cancelled our reservation and went to the Fairfield Inn next door which promptly got us a room.To make matters worse, Baymont then charged my room for two nights of stay even though I never checked in and cancelled the reservation. This was eventually resolved but should have never gotten to this point. Again terrible customer service.
This is the filthiest hotel i have ever stayed in. I told the management about the counter top being sticky and NO HOT WATER!. He said he was sorry, thats it. 3 out of five rooms, my guest woke with bed bugs. one was so bad he had hives through out his lower body. the two people that woke up without bed bus, slept in there cars. all 5 of us left in the morning and was told by the manager, SORRY!It should be illegal to operate a hotel in this condition. Protect your health and stay somewhere else.
Came just for the pool and told the girl we talked to that on the phone and she nver told us the heater in pool was broken and it was cold manager wouldnt approve refund was stuck staying heat in one of the rooms we got had no heat supposed to be adjoining rooms when booked they werent
Positive: The staff is very friendly and helpful. Hotel looks kind of out of date but was very clean. Negative: Oh boy. Lots of noise, hard to sleep. We saw the sheriffs office there twice and didnt feel entirely safe. The plumbing was messed up, so the bathroom toilet flooded and the sink/tub were slow to drain. Really bad experience.
The only thing good about this hotel was the staff they were great especially the young woman that works the front desk she was actually very nice. I got zero sleep they other guests were like wild animals once it got dark. Constant knocks on doors, yelling, kids running up and down halls late into the nights..... It was quite literally unbelievable that grown people have zero consideration for other guests. I stay in a lot of hotels and honestly never have had a night that was as horrible that I had to pay for...... Think of it like this were you ever in a class in high school where you genuinely knew that the kids in class with you were deficient and or delinquent in some type of mental capacity that was this experience summed up from my perspective. I completely understand you cant pick your customers but they should in the case of this place.
Went to check in after attending a wedding. Got in around 11pm on a Saturday night. Got up to the room and found it had either not been cleaned or that someone had broken into the room. Half-empty liquor bottle on the dresser, bed not made, open bags of chips on the bedside table, who knows what else. The hotel had no other open rooms that night, so we were forced to leave. Every other hotel in the area was fully booked by 11pm on a Saturday night, forcing us to drive all the way home instead. Asked to have a manager give us a call, to which I am still waiting on. Unacceptable. Will never stay at a Baymont again, have told many others of our experience so that they also look elsewhere. Disgrace of a hotel, terrible management.
Room had a clogged toilet we didn’t stay was told to call get our money back didn’t get nothing but offered to stay again however I will never step foot in there again the place need updated the many told me when she left wasn’t nothing on the toilet we checked in at five the beds look like they had them 50 years very old fashioned 132 dw the drain
Room smelled wierd, blanket and cover at foot of bed were dirty. wiped down remote and door handles, they were dirty. Most of the doors in the place were dirty, no one ever came to my room to change towels, empty garbage,, or do anything! My room key was deactivated my first night,, no reason given.Went to front desk, no one there, everyones out front smoking. No hot breakfast as advertised, breakfast bags with all kinds of sugary stuff. The one good thing was the woman that checked me in, she was very kind. It needs more thorough cleaning! I cant recommend this place.
Very friendly attendant. But we found a dead cockroach in our bed and in the bathroom. And we thought we got like eggs and bacon for breakfast nooo it’s a whole bag of sugar food. And also there was a bunch of drug parties and they were super loud that we couldn’t sleep cause they were yelling in the hallway. I was excepting a better experience but nope
This place is definitely not as advertised. We pulled up and people were in front of the hotel arguing. I called the front desk concerned about our safety to see if we could cancel. She advised because we did not book directly with the hotel she could not help but we could cancel with the 3rd party. We were still charged even though we did not stay. I would recommend that you check this place out before booking we had to go to another hotel across the street. This location is run down.
Positive: Nothing. The price was even too high for what it was. Negative: Pictures lie. It was gross. Smelled like cigarettes no matter what floor you were on. Our room was dusty, the shower was clogged, and the towels were rough and hard. It served its purpose for a place to sleep, but I will never stay there again.
Totally fraud… charged 100 dollar from credit card as a security deposit and posted it … still not been refunded the money back on card after my check out… I have to file a dispute with the credit card company… in my life I stayed with lot of hotels who charged security deposit but that transaction remains pending, and when u check out it goes back to your account, no transaction been posted in 1 day time frame… I don’t know it’s a shady business policy , I would recommend avoid this hotel at any cost
The stay was great, the staff treated me and my 2 year old daughter great as if we was family for the most of my stay. I had no problems at all. I also want to thank your staff for the support, hospitality, kindness and for making my daughters Easter a great one. Ill definitely stay and return just because of the way I was treated. Thanks
My New Bride and I reserved our King Bed room a month in advance for our pre honeymoon, we get to the hotel after our party and they tell us its unavailable. Then proceed to stick us in a poor quality twin bed room, we were not able to get our king room till 2:00 the next day. Upon return from dinner that night we have a stranger follow us to our room and say he was booked in our room on his arrival and given a key to our room. Upon return from our day trip to a nearby pool we find that our room key is inactive and that we had been checked out while our belongings were still in our room. we had to keep our door deadbolted and latched in worry someone will enter. I am highly dissatisfied with this hotel and do not recommend staying here to anyone.
Positive: I suppose you get what you pay for, the hotel was old, it has a stale smell, it appeared to be clean but the floor and furniture felt sticky, it needs to be totally updated if it¿s gonna carry the Wyndham Baymont name. Negative: The smell, the tv remote, it was a continental breakfast but ad said full breakfast, telephone did not work.
Positive: The staff was friendly and the beds were comfortable Negative: A full hot breakfast was advertised, but all we got was a bag with 2 granola bars, a fruit cup, and a small bottle of water, the fire alarm on the 2nd floor went on and off between 2:30am and 3:30am, the wood furniture was sticky, the shower was slippery.
Me and my family came down to visit from the time we came into the building there was great customer service, the staff made us feel very welcomed, I must say the hospitality was on point. The room was clean and had everything that we needed as far as refrigerator and a microwave. We had fresh towels and everything was restocked and our room was cleaned for the 3 days that we stayed there housekeeping did there thing. When visiting again I would definitely come back. Shout out to all the staff for providing great customer service.
Positive: Location and the staff were friendly. The room was dark. Negative: Very thin walls so very loud. Listened to the people¿s music down the hall all night. Also, the hotel allowed for a dump truck to be worked on out in the parking lot all night which was loud and the alarm on the elevator went off constantly all night.
Positive: Nothing. Negative: This hotel has gang activity. I had to sleep with a gun. There was blood and cigarettes burn holes in my covers. There¿s roaches. The police are here every day. The breakfast was a brown bag with 1 fruit cup, a granola bar and mini bottle of water.piti
Room was absolutely disgusting. Upon arrival noticed the bedding needed changed because food was on sheets. No covers on the bed, only a sheet, holes in the bathroom and room walls, also plaster from ceiling missing, very dirty, stained, damp carpet , recliner filthy, refrigerator nasty. Each time I left the room had to go have front desk reprogram key. Room shoukd never have been made available to customers in that shape.
The front desk staff was wonderful. Melinda Glenn was very accommodating and is the only reason I would ever even consider staying here again! The first room I was given had a broken chair and phone. They gave me another room that had a broken phone and a huge hole in the seat plus smelled like the sewer! Third room was ok but had broken wall treatments. I was awakened at 2:30am with loud music that made the entire room shake. The music continued until around 10am! There was a snake found in the building and apparently this is something that has happened often because I overheard the staff talking about the other few times the snakes were found in the building. Later that day my child went to the other room we had and apparently made too much noise talking and they had the nerve to call and complain lol really?!! You call to complain about my child talking too loudly but can’t stop blazing music from 2am until 10am lolNever will I ever stay here again and I wouldn’t recommend anyone stays here unless they are homeless and can’t go anywhere else and even then I would advice to try somewhere better! Worst hotel experience of my entire life!!
There was a dirty wash cloth on top of the shower curtain when I pulled it to close it to take my shower I didnt take a picture. I should of but I didnt. But other than that the front desk lady was very nice explained everything. Told where to go an how to get to my room. An that they serve breakfast from 6am to 9am.
I am so pleased with this hotel. They have staff that are actually sweet as can be extremely helpful. The room was gr8 and clean the bed is so comfortable n no there were Apsolutly NO BUGS thank goodness seeing the last place (ehmm red roof inn)Thx you guys thx Molly🥰
I dont know about this experience. When I checked in. The smell of my room was questionable. No one ever knock on our door to see if we needed anything (ever). We had to basically hunt down housekeeping for towels, fresh linen, and trash bags everyday. The girl at the front desk seem like she had attitude if asked for something.Also it said full breakfast online and there was no breakfast at all. Would we go back there again. I really dont think so.
Furniture was sticky on tops of night stands, desk, and TV stand. Towels were clean but very thin and worn. Tub and show need to be replaced dingy and worn. Continental breakfast was a packaged fruit cup, 2 small granola bars given out at the front desk.I would not recommend this to anyone.
Positive: free parking and leaving it. Negative: The toilet we could not flush and management never did bring us a plunger. My wife had to go down to 1st floor to use restroom. The phone had dust, I guess they never wipe the phone down, and the phone did not work. They could not hear me when I called.
This hotel ONLY gives one breakfast bag per room. There are signs in the hallway that says this. Why??? We had 3 people in our room. We ONLY got one small bottle of water, one small cup of fruit, one small bag of fruit snacks, and one nutri grain bar for 3 people! Not even enough! It’s ridiculous! There is dirt stains on the ceiling in the room, the air conditioner in the room is dirty and gross, there is stains on the chair in the room. The hotel pool is not clear and not clean. The hotel hallways are loud and noisy during the day and all night! People were yelling in the halls including the workers. We did not get a good night sleep! The front desk workers are not friendly. It is a run down hotel that needs work and needs remodeled. We will not stay here again!
Positive: At least the sheets were white and somewhat clean. Negative: The hotel carry a Wyndham name, which did not live up to the standard. They dont make the room everyday and the room condition was very bad. The AC was so loud that I couldnt sleep and at least the sheets were somewhat clean. This was a bad stay.
While I was in my room some dude used his key and just walked right in. he was told he was in 108. The woman at the front desk said she told him 105, and I was like well then how did his key work for 108??? They also couldnt see how this was a HUGE security issue. Did she make the wrong key? Or do the keys open multiple doors? In my room the phone and hairdryer both did not work. So I had to go talk to the staff in person which is how I noticed no one wears a mask. The hotel itself is ok, rooms are for the most part clean but lots of dust on a few surfaces. Housekeeping definitely is not very thorough. Although the housekeepers themselves were very friendly which is nice lol but all in all I probably wont be staying here again when I come back to canton.
Hotel front looks like prison control room,lots of camera and screen which didnt give any good vibes. The staff with tattoos arent any reassuring. The shower in the room are outdated and rusty. And they dont change out sheets if you stay for a few days.the front lobby had a shipment of something laying at the lobby for few days and looks like Walmart. Not Worth the Wyndham name
I got to the hotel at about 7:15 or 7:30. The room smelled bad. My kids swam for about 30 mins because the water had way too much bleach and more than 10 people swimming at a time. I didn’t even swim and my eyes were burning. We went back to our room ate and did cake. I put two of the kids in the bath and seen dog hair in the bathroom on the floor towel. I left the hotel to the store, when I came back I showered and there was dog hair in the bathroom every time I looked around. I left again at 10:48 and returned around 11:30. My kids later down but would get up playing and I sat on the bed and there was dog hair all over the beds there was dust everywhere on the dresser and lamp and flying around I couldn’t even breathe, and my eyes kept itching and my nose; and I’m not even allergic to anything. The carpet was soaked and dirty we couldn’t even walk on it without shoes on. It was disgusting! We left late midnight. The lady said I should be refunded because I didn’t stay a full day and she left her manager a note. The manager never returned my call and no one ever got back to me. She was left a note and she received a message. I would never stay at this hotel again and I don’t know how anyone else does. I’m looking forward to going higher up to speak with someone else; if I can even get in contact with them!
5* front desk and housekeeping! Hotel is safe, follows guidelines, and everyone was extremely helpful! The only thing not available was the breakfast (due to covid) but the room service food is very nicely priced and quite tasty. If youre not sure what to do locally, theres a local brewery in walking distance that has really good food and drinks. Dont forget to let the front desk know youre heading over there, they might just have a coupon for ya if youre lucky 😉🙂
A disaster of an experience. After long check in wait, the room we were sent to wasn’t made up. No bedding of any sort and the maid staff went home the day. After waiting at front desk again, moved us to a floor under construction. Reeked of paint in the room and gave us headaches. Wanted to switch to another room but they didn’t have any. Finally got them to put us up at a neighboring hotel. When the bill comes due at the other hotel, the Baymont refuses to pay. So we get stuck with a bill over double of what we were planning to pay. Awful management, overworked front desk, poor maid service. Stay away.
Awful, smelly hotel. On top of that, I stripped the bed put the towels/sheets at the foot and left a $10 tip for housekeeping. The ridiculous amount of $100 that was put as a hold on my account in case of damages was then charged in full. Now they wont answer the phone!!! Disgraceful. Will never sleep at this chain again.
The rooms are great, honestly. The hotel is good, the breakfast is good, everything is clean. We didnt get to the pool, and the spa was closed.. but the people staying at this place were terrible.We stayed for a few days, and every night was a different group of strange people and their children, smoking just outside the front door. These same people were doing the same thing every morning as well, during breakfast. They were in the halls, they were stoned riding the elevator hitting on my wife, they were everywhere. I sound like a terrible person, but I was legitimately concerned for our safety a few times because this hotel appears to be a crack house.Its not the hotels fault, really, so I didnt deduct too many stars, be be aware.
Ive been trying to get my $50 incidental fee reimbursed for 6 weeks now. Veronica has been very polite and helpful trying to assist me, but the manager Melinda is not returning voicemails, Ive left SEVERAL messages directly with Veronica to relay to Melinda. She even wrote a note to give to Melinda right in front of me after I finally drove there in person to get it resolved. I lost my credit card 3 days after my stay, so I was issued a new card number and because of that they are not able to reimburse my $50 because apparently it wont let them change the credit card number in their system. A check or cash reimbursement would be just fine!! I already paid the credit card bill now since its been 6 weeks. The lack of communication has been extremely unprofessional. Im in customer service / sales for a living, never in a million years would I just ignore messages from a customer like this place has. Its unfortunate as Im in Canton 2-3 times per month and I stay at a hotel each time, but I havent stayed at this hotel since. Melinda even has my phone number, and new credit card information.....and still nothing. No returned calls. Nothing. I will be sending an email to Wyndham corporate office now, its a shame because I would normally give this place 5 stars, but the managements lack of communication to get this resolved is just unacceptable on every level possible. Maybe Veronica should be considered for a promotion? If she was able to resolve this herself, I believe she would have done it long ago. Its been 6 weeks!! I opened up a case with my credit card company, but now they are asking for additional information which will require me to get in contact with.....guess who? Melinda. Now Im back at square one, and at my whits end. Its not even about the $50 anymore, its the principal of just being ignored. I wont give up until my $50 is reimbursed. I gave Melinda every opportunity to get this resolved, and Ive been beyond patient!!
I stayed December 31st-January 1st and was incorrectly charged by the woman working the front desk. I called multiple times for weeks, trying to get it rectified. I was never able to get my money returned to me or even speak to a manager ever. I currently stay regularly in the area a few times a week, but I would never recommend anyone to stay here unless if they enjoy being stolen from. Obviously the manager here does not care about fixing mess ups on their end.
Staff was friendly the minute we arrived. We booked 2 rooms. One room refrigerator was not working and the manager said she would change our room if we wanted to. We choose to stay in the original room. The sink water in the bathroom took 10 + minutes to heat up. We brought that up to staff the next morning and they immediately changed our room. Rooms clean and comfy. Staff also had plastic silverware and plates when needed.
Super disappointed. Front desk worker had her normal clothing on No Mask. Was rude like I was a bother bc she had to put her cigarette out and check me in. Had an attitude. Hotel was empty I was put on the 3rd floor. Got to my room there was hair all over the bathroom floor. And I found BEDBUGS IN MY ROOM. I went down to the desk asked for a refund that I wouldn’t be staying the evening. The worker looked at me like I was lying. She wouldn’t refund me. I had to put a deposit down 4 days later and I still have not received any of my money back. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to ANYONE the staff I interacted with was not professional at all.
I was looking for a peaceful getaway so I booked for 3days. 1st night went well until I woke up bitten by bedbug. I went to front dest with evidence. They changed my room and I was told room shouldnt have been checked out. So I move down the hall to another room now feeling a little uncomfortable but stayed again . This time to be bitten on now my other arm and was able to retrieve bedbug found hiding in spread. I placed it in a cup and took it to them. I was told Id recieve a refund from GM. I have pictures and videos of live bedbugs and housekeeper was aware as well. She had flipped up a mattress in my room and just told me not to use that bed.(I rented double bed room) I sent emails and made several calls inquiring of my refund and No one has returned my calls, emails, and No refund has been made to my account. I feel cheated because they were aware of bedbugs according to staff they just exterminated for bedbugs. Also both rooms werent thoroughly clean as one had cobbwebs all around and airvent top was covered in misc.debris. Also the remotes didnt work for the TVs which sucked because I planned to relax ,chill, watch tv, and enjoy the shopping center area. I have since not slept good @home due to the uncomfort I went thru with bedbugs@this hotel and my belongings I still have in my zipped duffel bags in my trunk. I now have bedbug bruises up and down both arms and the itch and burning was terrible. No one still hasnt reached out. (My stay dates 9/19,9/20and9/21/20)
Its great for pets but not for human comfort what so ever. When i The pictures look really nice but the actually room itself is a generic version. I mean for the price of 60 to 70 bucks u get what u pay for. But I mean Red Roof offers more comfort than this place. Dont dare pay more unless u r desperate. It seems like a good place for junkies thats all I seen coming and going. It smelt like mildew really bad the furniture was like something from a thrief shop and just had an over all out of date feel and look the linens were so thin. The remote had no back the light bulbs were so dull dungeon like feel. There was no comfort here just walking in the room you get the eww I can not and will not stay here feel.The chlorine in the pool was so strong my kids didnt want to stay in long. The place has potential but Im sure thats pricey and it doesnt seem like anyone wants to put the needed money and renovations into the place. So if u like cheap dingy pet friendly this is a good place.
Found a bedbug crawling on my shirt in the morning while laying on the bed. I contracted scabies probably from the bedding. I had no idea what the bumps where on both shoulders until a couple days later once it started itching really bad and spreading. Called front desk spoke to rude manager Melinda. Instead of being trying to understand or apologize for the situation she wanted to blame me for the bed bug and tell me it’s a couple days later they never had anyone say they had scabies. Well clearly the hotel is dirty the couple of people I saw Outside staying there looked unclean. The reviews I saw just explains it all. I really hope I find a number to call to complain on Melinda she definitely does not have good customer service skills.
I think this hotel is the best value Ive ever seen. Rooms are nice, staff is very friendly, and the price is low. Ive been staying there every Thursday for a year and only had one problem. The problem was a remote that didnt work and they gave me one that did. Ive stayed in 15 different rooms and they have all been very clean and orderly.
We are locals... we stayed for a night while having some work done. The plan was to stay at a place with a pool for the kids and breakfast. We check in and we’re a little taken back as the hotel seemed a little dirty and under construction. No big deal, it wasn’t filthy and the we just changing over to a La Quinta. The lady behind the desk was super friendly and nice. Get our room and head up.. open the door and the room was never cleaned from the night before. Again no big deal. Head back down and get a different room. This room was clean except for the broken lamp in the corner. Room is a little warm so I turn on the AC. Unit would not blow anything slightly less than warm air. The next morning the breakfast was good. We have a couple hour to kill before heading home so we tell the kids they can swim. We checked the sign the night before. Pool open at 8am. Head down to the pool. Locked. I nicely go to the front desk and ask to be let into the pool. This time a different lady, not nearly as nice as the lady the day before. Tells me that the pool doesn’t open until 11. I explain that there’s a sign on the door that says 8am. She tells me that there is not. I tell her to take a look. She does and says oh, that’s wrong, that needs to be taken down. So now to explain to the kids that they in fact cannot swim. This was just not a good experience. The only reason I gave this 2 stars was the friendliness of the lady the first day.
Positive: Convenient location Negative: Police presence, gang activity, staff lived on site, breakfast was a brown paper bag filled with an oatmeal cream pie, fruit snacks, granola bar and 1 day there was a pop tart. Says hot breakfast. Front desk guy was rude and condescending towards me.
We had a nice stay. Beds were comfy, slept great. Breakfast was over the top, the little old man went over and beyond the call of duty to insure everything was fresh and your belly was full. Only thing is, I wish I would have known it was under construction when I made my reservations. Will be a beautiful hotel when they are done. Would stay here again no question about it. 😊
We came up to Canton to take our kids to the Football Hall of Fame and stayed at Baymont. This hotel has some construction going on because it looks to be switching from a LaQuinta to Baymont. Upon arriving at 15 minutes until 3:00p we really had to wait until 3:00p to check in. We booked a Deluxe King Suite and were given a standard King suite (Pictures online didnt match). Because there was enough space for my wife and I and our kids to sleep, we didnt complain. We found a band aid on the top blanket thats folded at the end of the bed and we found a spider in the bed at bedtime. We killed the spider and did not use the top folded blanket and again did not complain as we were just sleeping in the room and spent the rest of our time out and about. The hot tub was out of service the first night and cold the second night, but the kids had a great time in the pool. The breakfast was terrible; however, I feel bad talking bad about breakfast because the older gentleman who serves breakfast takes A LOT of pride in his job and is very friendly. I even saw him scrubbing the front lobby floor on his hands and knees. Overall all of the staff was friendly. The location was great and easy access to the interstate and a lot of food locations around. Not a horrible experience but I think its because we really dont look to stress ourselves out by sweating the small stuff. Perhaps the renovations will serve this hotel better moving forward.
The only reason it doesnt get a 5 is because of a very strange snafu. They assign the hotel rooms before the staff turns them from the night before occupants.I was warned by the concierge that it might not be prepped and it wasnt. On a good note, they immediately sent me to another room that was. Pool and weight room facilities were clean. The breakfast, was good.Id recommend yes, but Ive always spoken to the manager about my experience so I wont go further as to whats needed.
Room was nice. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. We had actually booked room under La Quinta Inn & Suites before the name change to Baymont. They had a nice continental breakfast. The pool/spa was not open due to mechanical issues, but the Fitness Center was nice. It had all your basic workout machines and a weight bench.
Staff was extremely nice and accommodating. The building is a bit stripped down due to current renovations, but it didnt bother us. Nice pool and spa. My only complaints are that the faucets were old and stuck a bit and it took a really long time to get hot water for a shower. I could hear my kids down the hall through our closed door, so I know other guests probably could as well, lol. But all around a pleasant stay. I can tell it will be really nice when all of the reno is done.
There were COCKROACHES in the “upgraded” room we were given. The first room already had people in the room! What a surprise for all of us when we opened the door and found them in their pjs. Front desk didn’t want to believe us that someone was in the room either. We will NEVER stay in a Baymont again
Let me try to start off with a positive - the shower pressure was awesome! You could probably strip paint off wood with this shower head. Was nice.Unfortunately that’s the only positive I could find. Room was not very clean, walls dirty and chipped, all furniture surfaces were sticky and worn, bathroom door would not close all the way, the drains in both the sink and shower drained very slowly. There were mystery stains in the bedding and hair in the bathroom and the room smelled like it had been smoked in for the last 20 years. The room door did not close tightly and light came in around the edges, not a very secure feeling. Definitely would not stay here again.
When pulling into hotel The signs are actually La Quinta eith a plastic baymont sign hung over it. As we checked in we were told there is NO pool available. The one thing my family was looking forward to, was swimming. We opted to stay anyways since all other hotels are booked and it is now late in the day. Upon entering the hotel it is musty and old smelling. The doors to the rooms look like they are not even closed or locked Very wiggly, loose and unsafe feeling. Stains all over the furniture in our room (we got a suite) and all the tables / Dressers have rings from cups. Clearly not wiped from previous visitors. The showers are disgusting with visible black mold in the cracks and cracked walls around the tub. Rooms are very dark inside. I am completely and utterly disappointed and disgusted .
Im not going to waste too much energy on this particular hotel but I will say that the customer service service sucks and the pool area seemed as if it was on the verge of starting black mold on the roof top. I have pictures but Im not sure if I am able to post. However, I will say the room were fine.
It was a good place to stay. But the breakfast sucked big time there was nothing stocked and the lady that was taking care of the breakfast area was very rude and not professional at all she got mad when she was asked to get something for the guest had the area been stocked like it should have been it would had been a great experience. I dont think i will ever stay there again.
The building is older--it was previously a La Quinta but is now a Baymont. A suite is basically two single rooms made into one. Not the cleanest either. There was mold in one room. The extra hideaway bed mattress was old and stained. Wouldnt recommend staying here. Staff was friendly which is the only positive thing I can say about it.
You will be staying in a UNDER RENOVATION old LaQuinta hotel that needs repair. This is the reason for By Wyndham and not just Baymont hotel.2nd and last one for my family & I. Apparently to receive what is expected of the hotels amenities one must pay the higher prices at one of the other hotels that share the same street. Disappointing since we work for our money just the same as everyone else.No heat in the hot tub, friends shower had no hot water in her room, thin blankets and very empty food receptacles for the Free Continental Breakfast.Staff at front desk did the best they could with the staff and resources they had in their control. Seems like upper management, hotel standards, uniforms, maintenance & budget issues are in need of repair most urgently.
My first experience was all bad...I booked online and went to the hotel to check in and never even made it to my room. The assistant manager barged in from the front doors at a full sprint and demanded that we leave. Ummmm...what? She said just leave the owner called and said and I quote we dont want your kind here. No reason, no explanation...just leave. I was speachless. She was the rudest person i have ever delt with from a hotel. What is my kind? Did i do something to offend? Why? Maybe call in advance to find out the criteria of what kinds are welcome and what are not. If i could give it negative stars i would. Rude rude rude.
We stay at Baymont by Wyndham when we can. They are very nice rooms, comfortable and affordable. Breakfast is usually not very good because they dont keep it stocked well. Pool is always a plus. This particular one was incredibly hard to find. The exit ramp was closed and GPS kept taking us around in circles!!!🤬. NOT FUN YALL!!!!!!!
Our stay was absolutely horrible. We checked in about 4pm . We ordered door dash for dinner and then went swimming in the pool . We settled in to bed at 10 pm at 12:30 am I woke to itching and welts on my legs I obviously had bug bites ! We went down stairs to find the front desk guy outside smoking weed when he came in we calmly explained the situation and showed photos proving the bites etc . I was told he could not refund us we had to speak with the manager in the morning. We checked out at 1:24 am and came in the next morning to speak with the manager . The manager was very rude she said she had to investigate and that she could not and would not refund the money . I then called Wyndham customer service and spoke with someone about the ordeal they too said they had to investigate and that it would take about a week to get back to us ! I offered to go to the doctor etc and bring them back reports I had been bit etc . We didn’t even stay a full night and then given the run around and was told it could take over a week to get a refund IF we even get one . WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! RUDE EMPLOYEES and BUGS steer clear !
Folks, We come to Canton, Ohio every 4th of July and have stayed in many motels and hotels over the years! We decided to try Baymont and it is the Best of the Best Places we have ever stayed! The staff were Excellent and the room was Excellent! The morning breakfast gets you moving and the location is Perfect! Hats Off to This Hotel and Thank you for a wonderful experience!
We stayed at Baymont Wyndham Canton, former LaQuita hotel for the Footbal Classic weekend. The worst hotel experience ever. The first night our sink was clogged and a stench was in the room. They moved us to a suite that wasnt clean, urine on the toilet and a ring around the inside of the toilet, stained chairs, we found crack pipe paraphernalia in the corner and a bed bug IN THE BED. They moved us to another room and expected us to pay for it. We paid for our first night upon arrival but it was all down hill from Friday until Sunday. We left the hotel with ALL of our luggage and belongings in large trash bags so that we make sure we didnt take anything home with us.

So first off let me tell you this is a great hotel. I stayed there with a buddy and let me tell you my one complaint is the bathroom walls a just a little to thin. He said he needed to use the restroom right after we had just got there like I cared. Well if your going to use the bathroom and you got a backup either turn the tv up or run the water in the sick because as I lay there on the bed ready to take a nap out of no where it sounded like a b52 bomber had landed in our room and thats no joke. And pointing out you can clearly hear it does not make it better only adds to the noise. I believe thats how they got the idea for jake brake noise on a peterbilt. And not only were the walls thin but there is no exhaust fan and I dont care if you wait 20 minutes the nausea will still be there I almost left my sonic on the floor. So in the end great hotel but should definitely beef up the sound proofing on the old comode
Where do I start.The woman at the front desk was EXTREMELY disrespectful, to the point where while me and my family were in the car, she sent her FAMILY out to flock our car, we had an INFANT and a CHILD in our car. We left because of the drama, and when we called for our reservation to confirm it was still there they played games with us on the phone. everytime we stated our reservation they hung up the phone, and at one point for 30 minutes let the phone ring out, we called from 4 different numbers. We even had a representative at Booking.com call them twice. This place is pathetic, the cops will be notified, names and descriptions will be given. $245 WASTED, because your staff decided to play games with us and send their family to attack us. RIDICULOUS.
Worst place ever. Employees were so rude. Breakfast I would not even feed toast wild animal. Thats if there was breakfast pans were empty had to keep asking if they had food coffee was empty. Waffles stuck to griddle after you scrapped them off it looked somebody else chewed them up for you. It was a waste of money dont stay ther
Terrible place got woke up by ppls kids the ppl at the desk said to deal with it...than the next daywoke up sweating there was no power.....cant even leave the room and lock it cant shower to go anywhere either....and thr staff wont even speak to u to get answers.....should have went camping for all this
Had a very good stay spent 3 nights & 3 days there didnt have any problems at all room was very clean & cozy beds were very comfortable staff was very nice breakfast was very good this is a really nice kid friendly place in a nice quiet area would definitely stay here again
Let me get started umm someone in laundry stoled my dirty clothes,They charged me 28.95 for a dog charge,and fifty dollar deposit which my little dog peed in hallway which he wouldnt of if it was cleaned before so he put his mark there was there almost three weeks,they have the nerve...
The owner was more worried about watching the cameras than making sure his guest are happy the hottub was out of order room smell of musky order when it was laquinta it was good will never stay there again a cardboard box is cleaner owner need to go back where he is from and learn basic people skill

2022-02-20I was going to arrive much earlier than expected and the General Manager was able to get me into a room much earlier than check-in even though they were short-staffed. The facility was very clean. Considering all of the events that were going on this weekend it was still a nice stay and very quiet. I would like to point out that as I was making my way to my room after checking in and getting settled both the cleaning folks were so attentive even though they were clearly so busy. I needed nothing and they made sure to ask anyway and offer assistance if needed in the future. I really appreciated that and in these times when its hard to find really hard workers, these folks were doing a great job under pressure! Keep it up!

2022-04-04Staff was alright at check in. Motels.com did not tell us that they would charge an additional $100 security for in case of damages made during our stay. On that note the room wasnt the cleanest in the first. For the first night we had a neighbor who liked to slam the door what seemed like every five minutes all night which we made a complaint about. The second night I guess there were a few drunks that had a fights in between rooms on the same floor as ours. To find out later the staff had called the local sheriff to handle it. Needless to say it wasnt a pleasant place to rest at. All of you might say go to another hotel, but we werent going to go through that hassle, and tried to deal with it. The trip was a last minute decision. At the end at check out talking to the attendant about the weekend noise and the way the room was. Her statement was there was nothing they can do. Because they are in the works for a remodel, and the previous owner did not care. Below are pics of what we had for a room. We learned our lesson.... Spend a little more and get better quality rooms and service.

2022-04-10Our stay was booked through hotels.com. I selected the option to pay at the hotel. This hotel ran my credit card before I even checked in. They stated it was because theres a lot of fraud. Then they informed us that there is $100 deposit for the room. If you pay with your card it will take 3 to 5 business days, so we paid with cash so we would get it. When we checked out the next day to make sure you dont steal anything. I gave it two stars because the service was good and the location was good for what we needed. The building looked good on the outside, but the hallways smelt like a musty old cabin that had been closed up for the winter and just opened back up. We entered the room and there were stains on the floor and the sitting chair. All of the surfaces were sticky, and I heard that from a friend who stayed in another room. The inside of the heater/Ac unit had dust or something. Take a look at the pictures to know what the bathroom looked like. We asked for a plunger because the toilet plugged up after the first use, then never unplugged the entire time. Our friends who stayed in another room said their plumbing was also bad. To be in the stream of the shower, you had to basically press yourself against the wall and it wasnt adjustable. Breakfast was sub-par. Not going to recommend. Which sucks because the people working their were great.

2022-04-24Our booked room was changed to a long from 2 doubles without notifying us before arrival. Desk clerk couldnt accommodate the right room due to sold out status. No management on site so he was deferring all of our questions to the next day. He wasnt able to accommodate our late checkout request our anything else for that matter. He was doing his best but the management should have been at least on site. He was working as every position and couldnt help people with room issues. The following morning, the new clerk wouldnt help us with anything. Wouldnt recommend this hotel.

2022-05-09Everything was dirty. Before you even open the door, every door to each room is covered in something dripping down them. There are stains on the walls, carpets, and furniture. The bathroom sink had old soap leftover from the previous guest. My blanket for my bed was the definition of threadbare including holes bigger than the size of my hand. Even with all of this, my room was the best out of the group that stayed there with us. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone.

2022-01-30Hotel was ok...not very clean! Two room suite was very small. It served its purpose for our overnight stay but I will not be returning to this hotel. And the indoor pool is currently closed for renovations, which was one of the main reasons for booking with this hotel (we have 2 kids). I wish we knew that prior to booking...it does say on the site that the hotel was under renovation but no mention that they were referring to the pool.

2022-02-04Stayed for a work trip for a few days, the staff was great. We had a winter storm that was expected to come, 12 inches of snow and not one plow truck came to clear their lots and no one cleared ANYTHING! Front desk advised me that she had contacted the owner many times and he does not have a contract with a snow plow and does not care to fix the situation. Every single person has been stuck and unable to get out. Every single other hotel around Baymont has been completely cleared and shoveled by a plow because they made sure they were prepared. They have one shovel that we are all personally trying to shovel our way out of 18 inch drifts. I think it is absolutely ridiculous that the owner does not think it is important and crucial to clear the lot, especially when we were advised several days before that we would have this storm. I would highly recommend not staying here in the winter months.The staff was otherwise great handling the situation that was out of their control.

2022-06-24I will never return to this hotel, and it has always been the one i get whenever Im in town visiting my parents. The bath tub was busted, wouldnt allow it to switch from the shower, the bathroom sink handle came off as soon as I grabbed it. And then this morning, I hear a knock on the door. As I finished and went to answer the door, the room service woman started letting herself in, saying that she always comes in whenever no one answers. That is completely unacceptable. My 11 year old brother was sleeping in the bed, and i was preoccupied in the bathroom when a stranger just walked right into the room. I have another night in this room that I already paid for, there is no reason for anyone on the hotel staff to let themselves into my room just because no one answers the door. I wont be returning here

2022-02-06Run down, overpriced. Not advertised that the pool was closed, and they wanted $100 deposit for incidentals. Breakfast sucked. Paint peeling off the ceiling and it smelled. Our toilet clogged and they told us to come get a plunger to fix it ourselves. Room was either too hot or cold and the top blanket was rough and uncomfortable so we were left with a sheet and a thin blanket that had stains.
