Review date: august 16, 2021website purchase date: july 31, 2021this review is for an online purchase for bbws website.i placed an order for 5 summer-themed hand foam soaps. i found it hard to believe that at the end of july, bbw had stores stocked with fall soaps.that said, the order was punched in july 31. the order was supposedly shipped out august 1, and reached my po box address on august 6th.throughout this entire time there was no tracking information made available; the website just said order processed.the only way i found out my order reached the post office was when canada post issued a final reminder to pick up package on august 11. i picked up my package the next day. i am overall happy with the soaps i ordered, as they were what i expected and were not damaged.i noticed many complaints about bbws online ordering and customer service, and i have now seen it for myself with the shipping. with this experience, it makes sense that landmark and bbw is an online marriage made in heaven. 🙃when i backchecked who was the shipping provider, it was landmark, who in my 23 years of online shopping experience with usa and canadian based retailers, ranks as the worst shipping provider. nobody answers the phone or replies to e-mails, and provide inaccurate/incomplete info with tracking both in transit and when delivering items.about bbw overall, the store i shop at (limeridge mall in hamilton, ontario, canada) is pretty good. my beef with bbw is their online website. bbw has been in canada since 2008, making it 13 years with no canadian website.meaning if i want to buy stuff online i have to buy it in USD, plus pay duty. these two things drive up the price, making it much more expensive than buying at the mall. at the time of writing this review, bbw is planning to have a canadian website coming in fall 2021.i have guarded optimism at best that bbw will have a good canadian website. while i like supporting the store at the mall, i am looking at other soap sources that are willing to provide better customer service.bottom line: i would not buy from bbws usa website and would not recommend canadian customers doing so.
I have been on the phone with customer care for over an hour trying to get the store credit /gift card information that they issued to me for cancelling part of my order. I still dont have the credit and I cannot find information or a number to contact corporate office. BBW has gone down - i have ordered from them for years but im done after this - they keep getting worse! i placed an order for 17 items - 6 were cancelled via an email 2 days later - i have received 9 items and 2 items supposedly were shipped over a week ago but still no tracking number. If corp. reads these comments - i hope someone reaches out to me.
I am giving 1 star only because I have to give a star in order to reviewYou say there is a limit on your candles for the sale on December 4th, but I am seeing on social media where people are buying mass quantities of candles.We cannot buy online because you ran out and the site crashed. The limits you advertised, were not being enforced in the stores. That leaves people who just want a few candles out of luck. The greediness of the customers and this company is astonishing. Where does that leave the regular people who actually work for a living? Where does that leave the people who cannot stand in line?In my opinion this was handled very poorly, but I am just an average person, who will not be buying from this company in the future.
IF I COULD GIVE IT A ZERO I WOULD! I place my order for the seasonal candle sale about 10 minutes into the sale, and they charged my card. A week and a half later I still don’t have it. I sent a message through fb and they tell me the are out of stock. Bull$hit! Why did you charge my card and provide me with a receipt? Then I had to contact you to find this out!?! And you offer me a 20% discount !?! Sorry that sucks. You are a horrible company and you don’t care about your customers
The reason I am leaving a one star review (I wish I could leave zero), is because of the lack of care that Bath and Body Works has shown its millions of Canadian customers. Its 2020, yet, we dont have the option to shop online. Instead, we are either forced to go in to a store (regardless if we feel safe or not) in order to take advantage of the sales. Store locations in Ontario are already limited. Instead, were forced to shop online and pay. In USD. How is this fair?! Whats the incentive for us to buy your products and pay much more for it? I would not be surprised one bit if and when this franchise goes bankrupt. Whenever is making these decisions is an imbecile. Open up an online store for Canadians and watch how much we spend! We deserve the experience and opportunity just as much as your American customers!!
I am only giving 2 stars based on my experience online TODAY and previous experiences whenever there is a sale online.I want to say that their customer service department has always helped me and been quite wonderful on the phone. HOWEVER, whoever is in charge of their technical department or budgeting should know by now that sales over run their website or server and cause issues checking out. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.So, tech should be aware they need more server space to handle the load of people coming in and the budgeting department needs to probably stop being cheap (as most multi-billion dollar companies are) and expand their server or website capabilities.I tried checking out Im guessing over 50 times today with multiple error codes. Then, the inventory ran out so I lost what I was trying to get all because of technical issues. I tried having customer service call me back through the automated system and never had a return call. So I called them back and stayed on hold for an hour only to have my call drop after speaking to a lovely lady named bonnie but not having enough time to fix my issue. Now all subsequent calls Ive made, before even reaching a representative, have now been disconnected.Your sales have quadrupled in the last few years...you know your sales are going to bring people in and thats great but all this money youre getting why dont you bite the bullet and make everyone who works for yous job easier by improving the online experience to support the increased volume? And give your cs agents raises since they obviously have to pick up the slack for the mismanagement you all clearly have.It is absolutely ridiculous. Its the holidays, youre having a sale and in store sales are lessened due to covid...you have people making plenty of money, Im sure, in positions that can make the decision to fix the issues you have and its ridiculous how this happens every sale and has been fixed.
Horrible customer service!!!!! Placed order on December 11th and was told that it would be delivered on December 24th. However, today is December 30th and no package!!! Called the Customer Service number after I got disconnected on the customer chat! Spoke to one customer service person who was horrible and when asked for a supervisor the person kept asking me what was wrong with him! Really!? I hung up and called back! Got another person who also did not want me to speak to a supervisor! I have placed 3 orders since November and will not do it again! They actually told me that they could send out another order and if the other one comes then i need to take back into the store! Really?!!!! This was a Christmas gift and that person did not get anything from me!!!! Never again!!!!!
If I could give zero stars i would I ordered on November 26th and my items shipped the 30th or so they say there has not been any tracking info and everytime I call all they say is its been shipped but nor can they tell me where my package is. I was told today when I said it shipped on the 30th oh wow thats a long time but give it some more time. So as Im waiting my items are selling out and you wont replace the original items with different items its yalls fault I dont have my stuff or any idea of where it could be. I bought this stuff for a reason when it was on sale I dont a refund for missing items cause the items are no longer on sale so I cant turn around and by more. Just replace them with different items yall use to have great customer service and Ive had items replaced in orders that have sold out so obviously you can do it yall just dont want to take the time. I spent over 200$ customer service sucks
I have been a loyal customer for years. On October 15th , I had placed a large order online. By October 27th, I had received only one of the items, so I called and was told the rest were on the way. November 2nd and I still didnt receive my order so I called again. They told me that the shipment was lost and half the items were no longer available, so I told them to cancel the rest of the order. Was told it would take 24 hours before I would receive the email of cancellation. I never received an email or a refund, so I called back on November 7th, the lady I spoke with told the refund was submitted that day and I will see the email in 24 hours. November 11th, I still have not see and email or a refund, so I called again. The lady I spoke with there was misunderstanding and she would fix it and send me an email about the refund (and you guess it) in 24 hours. It is now November 13th and I have not seen an email or a refund. Im done with this company. I want my money refunded and you will never hear from again.Sincerely,Maria Ferguson
With this pandemic at the Avenues Mall it’s nothing more than a ghost town. Quiet and empty lacking low of inventory with lots of empty space. Although there are lines to get into some stores with the managers allowing only six people in at a time. A little extreme for an empty store. There was no line at Bath and Body Works today Aug 13th. There were more employees than customers. Associates walking around dumb founded and lost. Pretending to straighten or clean. Some just standing around observing people. They used to welcome you and ask if you need any assistance. I stood behind two associates waiting just to get a carry bag. They were too busy talking with each other to pay any attention. And they just pointed where they were. I just went in for a couple of refill plug-ins. Was very difficult to pick out and decide when there are no candles or fragrances available to smell. I tried to ask an associate but the only response I got was they must of been sold. Not very helpful. I wouldn’t imagine this facility being blamed on the incompetence of the employees. It takes a leader or manager to direct them on their job and fulfilling their obligations are duties. And there was absolutely none here.
An fortunately is not to give a great review, I have been a customer for year since they open and spend hundreds of dollars a year buying products for my self and family bringing also my family as customers, since they change there there method of promotions with there “rewards program app” is been a disappointment, every time I go to the store to buy never been able to get in to my account to add the points and in top of that when they have promotions on line like today after an hour of trying to use the code Harvest and been in hold in the phone and also I the chat, well they said sorry we are out off it. But the promotion still on !! As advertising. I’m so frustrated with this app rewards I just spend last week more the 50.00 in the store and no points because the app does not work properly and I know I’m not the only one many people at the store I Eastlake Chula Vista has complained as well, no coupons ! before 20 percent off or gift with purchase The company needs to know that if you want customer to come back you need to give them a reason coupons!!!! Im so dissatisfy, I will probably buy less since there is no point rewards or coupons. It is a shame because there products are great! Services and customer satisfaction services not so great. ☹️
I literally wasted over 3 hours dealing with customer care. I waited for over an hour and 40 minutes the first time just to get an agent who couldnt even locate me in the system then I was disconnected. I called again for a second try and waited another hour and 10 minutes and after roughly 30 minutes I was transferred to a supervisor just to be hung up on again. Im done no more BBW for me.Sincerely,No longer a loyal customer
They’ve changed their product. I’ve bought the body wash, body spray and lotion for years and recently I bought some body wash because I ran out. It does not smell at all like the old one. I went to the store to return it to ask them if they had changed the formula and the girl was really rude and said no but I know it is different because it doesn’t smell as strong as it used to. I used to be able to use the body wash and I could smell it all day long on me now I can’t even smell it when I’m right out of the shower. I’m very disappointed! I wish you would change back because it was great and now it sucks!
Very poor cumstomer service. Had to speak with supervisor to resolve the issue. They send my products that was opened and it was not sealed. Call to complaint and the customer service wouldnt take my complaint seriously. Items should not be sold unseal this is a heath hazzard issue. Try to explain to the first customer service and all he kept saying is Im sorry will replace your items. Fail to understand that this is a health issue and should have taking down the complaint seriously.
I love bath and body but I wish they would limit the number of seasonal items someone can buy. Its only August and they are already out of many of their Halloween items. People are selling wall plugs that normally run $15 for $60 and $70. They show 3, 10, 12 available. Its disgusting how greedy people can be.
I accidentally placed my order twice. I contacted customer care for what seemed like an hour. The could not cancel my order, the told me to bring it back to the store to return it. How am I supposed to return it while stores are closed due to covid?? So disappointed with this company. Going to review them with the BBB.
Do not order online from BBW!! Placed an order on 04/25 and order still has not shipped. I contacted customer service to cancel my order because it was taking too long. They said no, cant cancel but I can return when I receive it. What? The only reason I want to canc6is because you havent shipped my order. I will never shop online or in store from them again. L Brands is going down the toilet!
Don’t order online with this company. They ship through laser ship. And laser ship is a very bad shipping company. They were supposed to deliver a package the other day and tracking shows delivered. But nothing was ever delivered I was home all day. I believe the driver kept the package. Beware.
Customer service is Horrible!!! Lots of issues with on line orders and pending authorizations. My order was cancelled, however, my bank shows a pending authorization and it is almost a month now.I spoke with 5 different people at the 800 number and they are clueless !!!
Shame on you Bath & Body Works!! Price gouging is illegal and you have almost doubled the price of your shipping and raised the price of the pocket pack hand sanitizers to almost double also. Everyone should report you to their attorney general. This is a disgusting move on your part!
The took good care of me each time I went. The young lady .Ade me aware of when my load will be ready .which was a day 1 1/2 later. She gave me sound information on where I could find the type of food and hotel to stay in while waiting.that was so nice of her. People like that is hard to find now a days.
Preloaded trailer. Make sure you get a map as this place is a large complex and its easy to go to the wrong location to pick up or drop off your trailer. Multiple drop and pick up locations for trailers. Lady at the shipping desk was very friendly and sent me home with a handful of samples for the wife and myself. Never knew Bath and Body Works had such a massive selection of product. Some is sold only in certain regions of the U.S. so bring a pen and paper if you find something you like so you can write down what you like for future reference.
People in charge are liers , especialy in the victoria secret division . I worked and shopped there and the management did nothing but lie to the employies . Every single person who works there are always late coming back from breaks and lunches . Especially in the receiving department . But if your grandma works up in their VAS department were they change the prices on their all ready over priced products you can get away with whatever you want ..and the lady supervisor of the receiving department lets it go on all the time . Untill you get singled out then they are cowards and dont tell you they just FIRE you over the phone on a message. Never in my 51 years of working have ive been treated so wrong . This company is a terrible place to work for .!!!! I cant find anything nice to say about that company . Never will any one i no ever spend another dollar there .. Have a blessed day ......
Shoppers beware you cant use different colored coupons when shopping at bath and body works. After waiting 40 minutes inline and shopping, who wants to be told you cant use different colored coupons. The coupons have to be dated for that exact dates as well.Who knew? Another scheme to getting you to buy or pay more. No more shopping their, prices have skyrocketed for the same size products.

2022-04-20I like this company and their products. I have purchased online consistently for a few years. For some reason, they have changed shipping carriers to LaserShip on the east coast. Im not sure about others, but in the Charlotte area, this company is crooks. You will never receive your package. I had an order marked as damaged/undeliverable 4 days after it was suppose to be delivered. I called Bath and Body customer service, who was fantastic as always, and they reshiped the order. Guess what, same thing happened. I canceled the order. I looked up lasership reviews...a flurry of 1 star with the same issues. Are you trying to save on shipping costs while charging customers the same shipping fees only to keep replacing orders? Id rather pay more for reliable shipping. Who ever made the decision to use LaserShip needs to be fired because they are clueless.

2022-06-19I love Bath & Body Works products! However, I noticed that many of our local stores are selling body care products that are used/returned/testers to their customers when they are on sale, as pick-up orders. Also, some stores cancel certain products from pick-up orders because they are “out of stock”. This happened at the International Mall location and then they were 30+ of the same items on display. I will not be placing any more pick-up orders.

2022-04-19This place is huge so drive slow and follow road signs. They do have bobtail overnight parking, was able to drop trailer in empty lot. Appt time is at 4am, arrived 9:20pm since the pilot up the street had no parking. Guessed it worked out! Door 22 is the shipping office after dropping trailer

2020-12-04Placed an order on Nov 1st and after waiting 16 days for my order and no update on shipping I was told it must have never made it out of the warehouse. I explained that two of the candles I had ordered were now out of the stock. Customer service informed me not to worry that the online stock is not the same as the warehouse stock and if my shipping did not update by the next day to call them back. Second call: I was told the only thing they can do is send me a replacement for the items that were in stock and they would refund me for the items that went out of stock. Call number 3: after waiting a week and a half and not seeing a refund customer service said they say that a refund was pending but it was not the correct amount. Customer service then told me she would refund the difference of the pending refund. I saw that email the same day and received my refund two days later but have yet to see my original refund. So far I have only received $10 of the $35 dollars I was supposed to be refunded.... Call number 4: once again customer service informed me they would process my refund and you guessed it no email and no refund!! Call number 5: after waiting to talk to a representative they said they could not see anything about my refund and attempted to transfer me to someone else but no one ever came to the line!!! Call number 6: talked with customer service for over an hour only to be told they will try to reprocess the return and then the call was dropped!!! Call number 7: this representative said they say where the error was made and that customer service did not follow all the steps to process the return but she has done that for me. Also informed me she would send a $25 gift card by email. Finally it sounded as if some knew what they were doing!! But alas no email as of yet... now it has not been 24 hours but the one refund I did receive I got an email that same day. I am in the process of trying to find out how to contact corporates direct number!! It has been over a month and several hours of phone calls!!! I have been a customer since they first opened and have NEVER had this many problems.... I do not see this company staying open for much longer with terrible customer service as well as the lack of scent longevity the products once had...I am also planning on fighting this with my credit card since I just do not know what to do anymore....this has literally been a nightmare!!!!!

2021-12-13Freaking the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. Says corp office is in Ohio but I have no clue what country i was talking to. Spoke English, told her I had a problem and my order was wrong. Put me on hold then when I though she came back all I heard was her a some other ladies speaking in some language and just ignored me. I kept saying hello over and over and all I heard was gibberish in another language. I can see why they say they have corp offices and don’t supply real phone numbers to the office itself. Just gave me another phone that sent to me Bangladesh. Absolutely horrible

2021-12-22Waited for almost a month to have my items delivered before Christmas. Every day for three weeks it said I would have the order it was on the truck etc. the worse customer service ever. I never received my order they said they cancelled due to no stock. They wait for two days before Christmas to let me know. I will never order on line from this company again!!!

2020-12-15Spend your money and time elsewhere!! The customer service department of Bath & Body Works is absolutely terrible!! I have spent over $500 online and in store over the last three weeks and spoke to a supervisor this morning who did not care about my issue. I have been a customer for years. I placed an order and my items were not in the package when it arrived. She stated that my items were canceled and stated that no notification was sent to me. My issue was not corrected. I have not wasted time and money. After being on the line for over a hour with idle time throughout the conversation I did not feel valued and I will no longer shop with the company.

2020-12-30Placed an order today which contained 4 items. I received an email an hour and a half after placing my order saying that BABW has cancelled 3 of the 4 items that were in my order. I immediately call customer service because at this point the shipping cost is more than the one order I will be receiving so I wanted to cancel the order. They tell me there is nothing they can do! I will have to wait until the order ships to me and then return the product in store for a refund! It’s 2020, there’s a pandemic going on and you’re telling me I can’t cancel an order an hour and a half after I placed it even tho your company already canceled 3 of the 4 products I ordered? I have to make a special trip to the store to get my money back for 1 product but what about my shipping cost that costs more than the item itself? The most absurd thing I’ve ever heard. Wont waste my time ordering again.

2020-11-29I have been a customer for more years than I can count. I went online to submit an order taking advantage of some of the Black Friday deals. I had added a few items on Friday and decided to go in store to make the purchases instead. I received an email Sunday morning about some great deals on aromatherapy items, so I added a few items to my cart and was going to delete the items I had place in there on Friday when I noticed there was a buy 2 get 1 free deal I could get. I placed my order and immediately received a message that one of the lotions in my basket was unavailable and it asked me to remove the item. OK, not big deal. I was going to remove the item and then add another one of the items already in my basket to take advantage of the buy 2 get one free offer. As soon as I removed the item, my order went through. I was unable to add another item (which would have been free) to my order. A couple of hours later, I chatted with a woman through the chat option on the BBW website. She told me that no changes or additions could be made at this time. Now, Im pretty sure that orders arent completed that quickly and I could have been sent an item free of charge this early in the game. I got all kinds of explanations that no items show up at no cost and that she could have changed or added items to allow me to take advantage of the deal, but that was not what I was asking for. She also said that the deal I mentioned was only for the travel sized items, which I did not have in my basket. I know what I see when I go online and order, as I have ordered online numerous times. I was getting very frustrated with the worthless explanations I was getting. Really, how hard can it be to add an item to an order just a couple of hours after the order was placed, send me a coupon or gift card for a free item, or just send me the free item.There are way too many other options for lotions for me to have to waste my time trying to get this fixed. Once the order is received, I will reject it or take it to the local store for a refund. I have also unsubscribed from BBW and will no longer be doing business with this company. Such a simple fix but you choose to lose a customer instead. Not a good way to do business. There are way too many other options to have to deal with this kind of horrible customer service.
