Its small, but has a good selection of groceries
Havent shopped at this company in a year. Refuse to shop anywhere that tries to tell me what to do and limits my liberty, especially when I shop local for a reason. The manager drives a foreign car and tries to tell his faithful customers what to do and for that I will never shop at another bassets again. It would take a miracle. I suggest you do the same if you value your freedoms. It takes a special person to confidently tell free people what to do. A lot of people like this guy. I did until he tried to tell me what to do. Give respect to get respect. This guy is out of his mind. Close your doors if this affects my freedom communist losers.
I just ran in for a few things todayIts on my route to the Fremont area. They have good produce, nice meat selection and also a good selection of wines. The store is always clean and neat and everyone helpful and friendly.

Its a very nice local store
I was able to find everything that I needed. Aisles are well marked. There is a nice selection of product. The staff is friendly. My check out was speedy. The parking lot is large and has plenty of handicapped and Veteran spots. Building is also handicapped accessible.

Way too overpriced. I only go here when I forgot something and I need it like now. Staff is super friendly but unless your willing to pay way more than you should I suggest going somewhere else.
This is the best grocery store we’ve ever been to. It has a liquor store and hardware store attached, so we were literally able to find everything that we needed all in one place. The staff was exceptionally friendly and professional - didn’t catch the name of the kid in the wine section, but thank you for not letting us buy Parrot Bay and sending us to the proper liquor store. I suspect that these employees actually like working here. I wish that there were more grocery stores like this in America - the quality was astronomical when compared to a Walmart or a giant eagle.
Nice selection, very nice people. A bit pricey, though. Not unusual for a small supermarket. For instance, a quart of half and half was twice what I pay in walmart.
Only found half of what I needed to get for a party. The quality of the couple items I did find was questionable. The prices were outrageous. One of the employees stocking shelves was clue about availability of what I was looking for. The cashiers were very kind and polite, a tiny bright spot in an otherwise dreadful visit.
Very friendly people and full service carry out. Can usually find some good markdowns but full price goods are expensive. Homemade food case, salad bar and soup for a ready to eat meal. The food is always good.
My experiences shopping at bassetts market have always been good their produce is always fresh, the deli is fantastic (the people behind the deli are always delightful!) The beer and wine selection is out of this world! They always have nice fresh cuts of meat in all varieties. The employees are always so polite and helpful with everything you need. The only negative thing I could possibly say is that I spend far too much money there! Lol Over all a wonderful place to shop. I give this place a solid 4 out of 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐

I was from out of town and some time to kill so I walked around the store and picked up a few things. It didnt seem like much walking in, but the sandwich I got was amazing. The meat all looked great. I ended up leaving really impressed with this store.
My son who is 8 yrs. old and I went on a day when they were making sushi. The lady that was giving the samples was rude to my son all because he wanted to try some sushi. She acted like he was crazy that he wanted sushi at his age. He loves it and has been eating it since he was 5 yrs. old.I dont go in there too often but I certainty hope that their attitudes change.

I went there for a change of pace from my usual grocery store, not sure if it was a bad day or something but the mold on the selection of berries, the cloud of gnats that flew from the peach I picked up, or the staff person that yelled at another member of the staff (DONT CALL ME JOSHUA, and this Joshua kid refused to move out of my way or even say excuse me), but my times of visiting this store is over. Usually a great place to visit, nice staff, clean store, I dont know what happened. Maybe a new owner. Dont care! Not going back.
Bassetts is better version of a small town grocery store. Prices are a bit higher and they have less selection than a supermarket but youll always find someone that will go above and beyond to help you. They have an excellent beer and wine selection and they will look into new products if you ask.
I ordered a dinner from the deli for 20, my first visit to the store. I found the deli to be very nice, and the dinner was great!I am retuning for another order, they have a great variety to choose from.
This is the only business that has forced me to leave for not wearing a mask. I do not wear them for health reasons. The cdc just issued a statement also saying that most of the people who do wear a mask end up contracting the virus. I will never shop at any bassets store ever again.
The store is always neat and clean. Cashiers are friendly and helpful. For a small town grocery store, prices are ok. Get the sale items and hit Walmart for the Staples

For a small town store it seemed a little high priced. As I live in Clyde and our stores here are the same. I hoped for a break but didnt find it. I wiuld have done more shopping but I didnt see any sale papers when I walked In the door . I looked for them. I even cut my visit short to avoid spending more then I needed to.
Love the store. Will always try and shop locally.But it seems to be a game on how many items they can jam into one bag before it breaks open and falls out into the parking lot.

Bassett is a great place to shop for your grocery needs. They carry a lot of local hometown items, too. Plus, they are always contributing back to our community in many ways.

They have really good broccoli cheddar soup! Free samples of popcorn! Pizza burgers in frozen section. They also have sushi! Yum
Its a smaller store so its a little pricey but they always have deals and markdowns! Stop there every time I go in the area!
Great Super Market, 2 blocks from my house. Very kind and helpful, and if you need something and they dont have it, they make sure to get it soon enough.

I love Bassetts, go to any other local grocery and youd be hard pressed to find this kind of selection. Maybe they dont have Wal-Marts low prices but Id rather come here any day over Wal-Mart.

This store was a bit pricey and didnt have much selection, but it seemed like a smaller local chain and I dont mind paying a little more not to have to goto a Wal-Mart.

2021-10-10I really enjoy their meat department, as all the meat is fairly priced and great quality. The employees are generally friendly and helpful.. The rest of the store is way over priced. I try to do most of my shopping at Aldi, Walmart, and Kroger. But living in a small town, its convenient if I need a couple of things. I refuse to do a big shopping trip there, as I can do one for half the price elsewhere, even including having to drive out of town.

2018-11-02Most items are way too expensive. It would be pretty decent if they were even close to competitive on their pricing. If you are going to fill half a cart or more Id recommend driving the 20 minutes to go to kroger/aldi/meijer/etc.
