I have no idea how many times Ive driven past this place and said to myself, Oh, I should try that sometime. I finally ordered a BLT today off of GrubHub, and now Im sad Ive never ordered from Barrys before. Probably one of the best sesame bagels Ive ever had, coming from a carb freak! It was absolutely PILED with bacon, and I was able to customize it to my liking - I added ranch and pickles.I ordered a garlic bagel for tomorrow, too - no one ever has garlic bagels anymore! Cant wait to make this place a regular for weekend breakfasts and work week lunches.
We love Barry Bagels! We used to live in Toledo and got it every weekend! It was an amazing surprise to find one 45 min from us! We live in Broadview Heights and it is definitely worth the drive! So many selections and toppings. They do not skimp or limit toppings like other bagel places!
Phenomenal bagel sandwiches! Their everything bagel seasoning is amazing, we bought like 3 jars of it. Its not super salty like most mixes. 10/10 all around!
We ordered through Uber eats and they were out of our bagel flavor. Jen wrote a sweet note and sent two extra bagels to make up for it. That’s amazing service and the food is delicious. It’s my sons go to for soup whenever he’s home sick. Thanks Jen!!
Never been to Barry Bagels before but always wanted to try it after passing by over the year. Finally made the stop and was pretty disappointed in my experience. The girls paid no attention to us while we were ordering our 2 simple sandwiches. We had to repeat out order 3 times since she was having conversations with the other employees. Received our order to go and it was wrong. After spending 10 minutes there already. We decided to leave with what we hadI get have fun at work but customer service should definitely be number 1.
Was always wondering why there werent more bagel shops. I am so happy Barry Bagels came about in the area and sure am happy I tried it. Fair price for my bagel and delicious too! Staff was friendly and managers were very kind and gave us some free samples of their delicious frozen treat.. with color changing spoons too! 😊 Most definitely will be back. If you like bagels as much as I do, you will love Barrys!

Rude to delivery drivers. As drivers we have no control on when we receive the order and depending on the delivery platform are not told when it is ready or how soon we get it compared to you. Dont take your frustration out on us because the system is too quick. We are just trying to work too.
If you are a fan of pesto, be sure to try the spinach and feta bagel. Also had the chicken noodle soup today. Great homemade flavor.
Absolutely my favorite bagel shop! Their bagel sandwiches are the best, always delicious and made with fresh ingredients. The workers are always friendly and get my order right. Definitely recommend checking this place out :)
There was an error with my order, but the owner went above and beyond to make it right. And, I have to say, the food was very, very good. I had a pastrami on garlic bagel with cheddar cheese, banana peppers, and hot mustard; my fiancee had a turkey pastrami on spinach feta with her usual bunch of vegetables.I highly recommend this place for the food and customer service.

I have been coming to Barrys Bagels for a few weeks now to study for an upcoming exam, and the staff is completely accommodating, friendly, and professional. With the added COVID restrictions, they are extremely diligent about cleaning and sanitizing the dining room as soon as they notice customers are finished all while staying efficient and welcoming to the incoming customers. The owner, Vance, has made an effort to get to know me and is always friendly, just like the entire staff. Besides the productive and comfortable environment, the food is delicious! I have tried different sandwiches, soups, and sides but I cannot pick a favorite. They also have a dairy free soft serve that I have yet to try (my husband tells me its delicious) and they even have bagels for your fur friends! I definitely recommend giving it a try and supporting a smaller business.
Not my favourite bagels, but pretty good
Really good bagels, can tell they are made fresh in the store (well you can actually see them being made thru the glass). Only complaint is that its a little unorganized these days, no real signs up or any easy way for someone with an online order to pickup unless they walk right past everyone else in the narrow entryway standing in line trying to maintain social distancing guidelines.
I got a DoorDash order today. I am impressed. Packaged so well. Neat. Perfect temperature. Reminded me of a bagel place I had in Manhattan! Thank you for making my Saturday great.
I visit this place everyday for sunny grain bagels with pb&j and coffee. A definate go to. Fast and friendly staff greet me every morning and remember my order. I love Barrys and am a member of Barrys Club.
I dunno...maybe 4 stars? Ordered a dozen onion bagels and grabbed some bagel chips labeled as garlic. Well...they werent garlic. Plain as a dried plain bagel could be. And stale. The onion bagels were okay but smallish. There were quite a few tempting items on their menu that I would consider but I doubt that Ill be back. Not that Id strongly object to that notion but under my own power I would gravitate somewhere else. So...there you go. Didnt hate it but didnt love it.
Not allergy friendly. My husband went there and asked about allergens in the bagels, specifically dairy. He was told none of their bagels except those with cheese contain dairy. I went there to order a dairy free bagel and was told ALL of their bagels contained dairy. Please figure it out guys, and train your employees. Better yet, put the allergy information out online and in the store where people can do their own research. Very disappointing.

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. No phone orders is the absolute most ridiculous policy Ive ever heard of. Nobody wants to place an online order for an hour from now. 🙄
Great tasting bagels! They have always had a good assortment of bagel options when Ive visited. Most recently I had a bagel with cream cheese.I have enjoyed a bagel sandwich in the past. Sadly, dietary restrictions probably wont allow me to enjoy them too often anymore. They do also have salads--I havent tried those yet, but plan to.I did notice a small meeting room in the back near the restrooms and want to check in to using that for a networking group meeting in the future--but they were busy by the time I noticed it and I didnt want to take away from them serving customers--so I need to stop in again to ask about it.
Theres a good portion of salmon on the Lox and Cream Cheese bagel. The everything bagels have a good amount of salt, too. Tasty. Their bagels are crunchy on the outside, but light and airy, not dense like Ive had at some other places. Ive been here many times since theyve opened and have not been disappointed even once. Nice addition to Avon.
You would think they would put some cream cheese on the bagel. Just ordered a lox and cream cheese about a teaspoon of cream cheese on it. Asked for a toasted it was not. For the price not worth it. I’ll make my own next time. Not enough care taken on the making process.
I took a chance and tried this place again. The Biggby coffee is an enormous improvement over the original offering. The bagels are good. UPDATE 2-16-2020.: coffee is now served from behind the counter and refills are 50 cents.

I went here to pick up a group order and my expectations were high because a couple of people I ordered with recommended it highly. I was disappointed. My bagel BLT was dry and the bacon was rubbery. The place itself was a bit of a mess when I got there. Maybe they were understaffed and slammed, but I unfortunately was not impressed at all.
Though I only spent one year in Toledo (back in 2000!) that was enough to get me hooked on Barry Bagel for life and to get me squealing like a crazy fool when I saw that they were coming to Avon. Their bagels are chewy, and their deli meats are delicious. Its hard to live up to a memory, but they definitely pulled it off!! Haha, Ill just have to amp up my workout routine now that theyre in the area.......I have a feeling that theres going to be a lot more bagels in my diet from now on! :)

Im from Sylvania (by Toledo) where the original Barry Bagels is, and Im SO excited to have found one close by. They are the best bagels, Ive never had better (even when I lived in NYC.) Very friendly staff and very nice interior as well.

Good selection and fairly priced1-27-18Went here for breakfast today. Not all bagels were fresh. A few were really hard to bite and chew. Requested a side of butter and was told they no longer have that available that if we wanted butter we would have to pay extra and they have to put it on. I was then giving these frozen unspreadable butter packets. I dont mind spending alittle extra for butter but it would have been almost a dollar a bagel extra. I always order a dozen and get 4/6 toasted for the family and I to eat there then we take the rest home so it was going to cost $5 extra. Dont know why the change but dont think Ill be stopping in as often. The cookies are still delicious
Service has always been on the slow side. With the recent addition of a few menu items that require more prep, service is even slower. Good bagels still though.

This was our first time here. When we walked in there were 3 employees behind the counter and not one of them looked up or greeted us. It was a very unwelcoming atmosphere. The garlic bagel was more of a sesame bagel. We were very disappointed in this place!

We went to Barrys bagels we ordered 6 bagels she asked if we wanted them sliced I clearly said no she cut them I said I asked you not to cut them I said never mind Ill take them then ordered 2 sandwiches she said toasted I said no she started toasting them I said no dont toast them she went in back finally came out finished the sandwiches went to pay the owner says the girl was in tears PLEASE because I expected her to make our sandwiches correctly. Then we get home she had put the wrong sandwich on the wrong bagels we have gone in several times we wont be going back the owner seemed to be blaming us

Great place for morning breakfast and a coffee, or soup and sandwich for lunch. The staff is eager to help. The owners, Vance and Jenny, always provide a presence in the store and are very approachable. The private meeting room in the back is a great location for get-togethers. And of course catering services are a great solution for a weekend at home or a business lunch.

Food is excellent and would normally give it a five but the line and ordering is very awkward. This place would be awesome if it had online ordering like Panera

Best place to get a bagel in Avon. Happy with the product, and i spent 10 years on NJ/NY bagels, so there is a little bagel snobbery in me. These seem much more authentic. Definitely scratches the itch.

Good bagel sandwiches, expect it to be in the 7 to 9 dollar range if you get cheese and drink. We go here twice a month or so, workers are friendly and its never been crowded.
I have always loved Barrys Bagels from the original Toledo days. I am so happy that they have come to Avon. My favorite is Jr. Corned beef on an everything bagel.

Unique place. Not often you come across a place doing things a little different. Been here a couple times now. The food is excellent and surprising to have so many choices. Service has always been on point as well. Will be back again.
The bagels are great! I love the selection. My only issue is that 50% of the time I order Lox and Cream Cheese I end up with cream cheese only, or lots of cream cheese. Lol.

This place is legit. Great breakfast and lunch and way better prices than Bruegger s or Einsteins.DO NOT LEAVE WITHOUT EATING A SUGAR COOKIE!!!. Itll ruin your life because youll never want to eat anything else ever again.
The assortment of bagels is good. The types of cream cheese is good too. I bought a dozen bagels and tub of cream cheese. They were good even after being frozen.
Now thats a good bagel. And you can have it made anyway you want. So if you are lazy and did not goto the store stop in and have it your way! That might be a slogan already?!

Price point is high bagels are excellent service is okay too many young girlsThey do not understand speed they charge extra for cream cheese and put too much on would be better to put just a light spread and no charge would not alienate so many people so many first-timers coffee refills are also charged

2022-06-19The employees are friendly. The food is really good. They have good sandwhiches. I got a bacon , egg and cheese on a bagel. The owner is really nice. I usually get my food door dashed. Love to go to this place for a simple quick bite for.breakfast or lunch.

2019-12-02Barry Bagels was a pleasant surprise in the bagel chain. The bagels we nicely cooked and they definitely dont scrimp on the cream cheese. The honey brown sugar was particularly unique and paired nicely with cinnoman swirl bagel. They serve a variety of savory bagels as well. I look forward to sampling their sandwich menu for lunch.

2021-12-21Great bagels. I have been getting bagels at Barrys for a long time. Very disappointed today that I was the only person in the store masked, including the young people serving. This is the first food service place that Ive visited since covid where servers are not masked. This is the reasoon for the low rating. I will not be back for a while. The bagels are the best. Its unfortunate that theyre not taking reasonable precautions.

2021-11-23I love this place and it is my #1 stress lunch when I need it on a bad day! I have witnessed the owner Jenny struggle through bad days too with all of the uncertainty and shortages of just about anything you can think of and still keep her cool. I appreciate all that they do and they always seem to make my own bad day better. I only hope that I can do that for them during my visits. The Chicken Salad on an Asiago bagel with veggies and thousand island dressing is the best around!

2021-11-06Today I stopped in on a whim. It was my 1st time. A sign was posted about having patience due to short staffing. The young man that helped me was AMAZING. I am so impressed by how so many young men and women have stepped up to try and ease the staffing shortage. It was great to see him learning and having great attention to detail. I don’t care if my order takes a little longer. The service was great and the atmosphere was pleasant in such a trying time.

2021-11-14I would love to give this establishment 5 stars because their bagels truly are amazing! They only get 2 stars from me because of the atrocious way my daughter and I were treated when we visited Sat morning. We were in-line, waiting patiently to place our order (for well over 5 mins) when a gentleman walked in behind us and immediately, whom I presume to be either the owner or the manager, walked right passed us, greeted him by his name, and proceeded to take his order!! I then looked in disbelief at the two younger workers behind the counter and stated we have not been helped yet“ the manager continued to ignore me and proceeded to help the gentleman behind us! The younger employee apologized and began to take our order! I have NEVER been this blatantly disrespected and ignored in a local establishment before! I guess Barry Bagels cares more its regular customers than earning new ones!!
