Azteca Mexican Restaurant in other cities:
What can I say? The waiter alone was friendly, courteous, prompt, and very cute. Top that with the food being beyond delicious and a strawberry margarita had me singing, Margaritaville lol...celebrated my daughters birthday and the waiter came out after dinner with a dessert singing happy birthday to her. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone when in the mood for great tasting Mexican food and friendly employees.
I have been coming here since I was a child with my family I absolutely love the food and try to place a pick up order at least once a week. They are really accommodating and friendly and they will happily substitute or add things if you just ask. They also over time of seeing you come in often get to know you by name and start to treat you like family I absolutely love going here, they have great customer service and the food is always delicious. You must try the cheese dip it’s AMAZING I will not place an order without it.
I had amazing time with my boyfriend. The server was very friendly and went beyond my expectations as I requested coffee and he politely went to make a cup for me. He could have said we are out of coffee but he immediately offered to make some. I do appreciate the little things. Food was delicious.
When I entered the building I thought to myself This is a nice little place The staff was friendly and responsive at first. The sweet tea is delicious! The chips were warm and the salsa was very mild not spicy at all like most competing Mexican restaurants. I thought it was very good. Now for the bad part.. I ordered the Super Rancheros (5 enchiladas) It came with almost no lettuce, sour cream was very thinly squirted on and their was only one thinly sliced tomato on top. *It was extremely messy* The pork is very fatty and tastes the way canned cat food smells. The waitresses were very nice at first but I was shocked to see how drastically their attitudes changed when I told them that I didnt think the food tasted good and wanted to order the steak burrito instead. ((((By the way our waitress never even told us her name!)))) So Waitress #6 told me that they could only refund half of the plate because I had eaten some of the pork enchilada and opened the cheese enchilada (due to the lack of cheese inside)When asked at the counter if everything was enjoyable I stated that I had actually had an issue and she sent over the same waitress (#6) then they spoke in Spanish for a minute and our waitress continuously refused to refund the plate.I am astounded by these workers lack of respect and integrity. I believe that when a customer complains about a dish tasting so bad and then orders a different dish they should then have the original charge taken off of their bill and be charged for the second item. This was only such a terrible experience because of the attitudes of the workers and the fact that they were simply money hungry.
I really think the food here is the best local mexican food. Entrees, salsa, margs, all top of the line for the area here. The people are very nice, the building is nice and updated on the inside. The drinks are good! Not too sweet, and compliments the meal nicely. I love their chips and salsa as well as their cheese dip. Their guak could be better, it actually isnt super fresh tasting.. but I make my own guak at home so nothing really compares to that. I love their burritos as they are a large portion. YOU MUST TRY THEIR CRANE ASADA - it is amazing! All in all, I highly recommend giving this place a try. We will be back, again, and again!
This is one of the best Mexican restaurants we have ever been to! I could go on and on about the salsa alone, fresh ingredients, not too watery or thick and tons of fresh cilantro! Our chips were warm, our drinks never empty, and our entrees were delicious! The service was great too, our waiter had a good timing and a sense of humor! Highly recommend!
Please was great, Lucas was our server and he was helpful and knew the menu! I stopped by before and it was busy so I thought it must be good but didn’t have time to wait. But, I came back and I understand why the crowd! Hot! Delicious! Mexican Food! You’ll enjoy it and I hope you do!
This place has disrespected me and my husband. We went to have lunch and everything was good. Until the waitress took our order and asked what did we want. My husband went first and ordered the spicy burrito the way it is. I ordered the spicy burrito with the exception of chicken and I wanted it to be replaced with shrimp. Well the waitress told me one sec. then she came back and said I can’t add shrimp. I asked the manager to come over and help me. I told him the same thing. He stated it isn’t possible because shrimp is expensive 🥴 so I tell him I will pay extra he tells me no. Great! I told him that’s ok just put my husband order in. Then He says what do you want, you don’t like chicken? I told him no. Then he says well if you don’t order nothing you have to pay for chips and salsa. I just can’t believe we had to go through this at all and I feel like it was racially motivated to attack us! Mean while he never put my husband order in! I will report this matter to better business bureau.
There’s better places in town. We’ve gone a couple of times now. First time there was a fight in the restaurant. Interesting. Next time, I paid $20ish for shrimp fajitas that were charred black. Then this time we got Postmates, paid almost $13 for a chicken fajita quesadilla. Showed up like the attached - didn’t even include the veggies and half the thing was filled. We won’t be returning again.
Seated & no one ever came to take our order. Waved at hostess & she came to take drink order & find someone to wait on our table of 2. We ordered a pitcher if raspberry daiquiris to which she said her brother would have to get it. Here returned with drinks. I did NOT like it & asked for more raspberry flavor. He added that & it was still just horrible. BF said hed drink it & not tp waste. Got iced tea instead- so strong had to add water. Ordered fajitas grande NO SHRIMP. ABSOLUTELY NO SHRIMP PLZ. Brought sides, then brought sizzling platter-WITH SHRIMP! He immediately returned it to the kitchen to remake. Returned a bit later with correct order. Sides were then cold. Never checked back. Meat was dry & needed seasoned. Again not wanting to waste we ate our meal. Cashier stored to all if all was ok. We nodded it was ok.Told cashier at check out about the experience & he didnt seem concerned. I wanted him to know of the experience NOT to discount our meal which i stated to him but he still took off 10%. As i was telling him that even if id been given a gift cert to eat there for free i would not return... all while i was signing & young the server- he blew me off & started to speak to the next person waiting to cash out. This was our first time here. My friends daughter was celebrating her 21st & loves this place. We were there to celebrate too but got our own table for more privacy. She highly recommend this place & Im sorry but i was completely disappointed especially after not being able to go out for so long due to Covid. This was our FIRST dine in experience in over a year!
Excellent food. Extremely fast service. Even when extremely busy our meal took less than 10 min. The prices are really affordable. $1.50 tacos on Tuesdays. Im a frequent customer. In my opinion this is the best authentic Mexican food in Akron. Been many times. Its excellent food and service every time.
Typical Mexican Restaurant (but we also had one 🎸 musician singing at our table! Originally booked for 7 pm but walked in at 5pm and Juan astonished us with his service. Spot on! Food was good not exceptional (we are used to true Mexican food in California and Mexico). A very pleasant experience
Love this place. The food was excellent. Service was even better. The guy who waited on us was wonderful. I had the shrimp tacos which are wrapped and fried. The shrimp were moist and plump. Delicious. My son had the mango pollo. Starts out sweet ends hot and spicy. Very good. We got there around noon and when we left the place was packed up. That tells you a lot right there. The waiters were hustling and getting the food out quickly. Cant go wrong with Azteca.
3 stars because while food is good, I have NEVER ONCE received all of my takeout order. Every time I check the bag, something is missing. Sometimes I remember to check in the parking lot, but Ive been screwed many times by not realizing I was missing half my meal until I got home.
I just waited with my 2 children for 20 minutes after being seated for someone to come to the table for drinks or anything because its a restaurant. No one came at all. Several employees walked past us and never stopped. Its not busy either. Finally I just got up and told someone we were leaving for that reason.
We love this place. They changed their chips and salsa and Id say best move they could have done. Food is always excellent and service is usually excellent except for one waitress. We are regulars that come here about once a week. And we will be eating here again tonight. Great job guys keep up the great service and restaurant
Ordered food for takeout and was told 10-15 minutes, I got there within that time frame and still had to wait another 15-20 minutes, they werent that busy. The food was good but this is the second time in a row it wasnt ready when they said and I had to wait, Im starting to think they dont make the food until you get there even though they tell you a time it will be ready and its not.
This is a fantastic restaurant! They have a pretty standard menu with good prices, and the atmosphere is great! They also have plenty of room to accommodate large groups, there was a birthday a few tables away from mine and they sung happy birthday and whatnot, so fun! The food is also phenomenal, and they have a pretty good vegetarian menu for those of us who dont eat meat. Try the spinach cheese dip, honestly, spinach is the only thing that could make that stuff better. This is a great place to eat!
This was my first time visiting Azteca and I was so excited because I LOVE authentic Mexican food! Sadly, I was tremendously disappointed on several levels. First, our server, although seemingly nice, (everyone greets guests as amigo/a), proved to be ineffective and somewhat distracted. The server failed to give a person in our party fries instead of refried beans, even though I helped clarify the request. Our server also failed to provide water after I asked for some, so I ate my meal without it. I was mostly disappointed because the food was commercialized and not truly authentic. The steak was sub-par, the refried beans tasted like commercial brand canned beans, not homemade. The worst part was the so-called guacamole. It was probably jar guacamole SPREAD, but definitely not guacamole. One thing I expect an authentic Mexican restaurant to provide is handmade guacamole. Extremely disappointed and probably will not return. Please improve your cuisine so that it is truly authentic, amigos!
What a wonderful restaurant! My friend and I were greeted by a warm and friendly face that face belong to a wonderful leader named Daniel. Daniel was happy to see. And even more eager to feed us! He brought us our menus, he brought us our drinks and he very kindly brought us our chips and salsa! Very patiently waited as my friend and I decided what out of the abundance on the menu we wanted to eat first. We each decided on something different and we were not disappointed with our selections. Our meals were very filling, but we made sure to save room for deep fried ice cream! My compliments to the chef and especially to Daniel to making our visit so enjoyable! I definitely recommend this place to everyone who enjoys Mexican food! Everything was fresh and delicious and I will most certainly be coming back!
I love this place! Much better than any other Mexican restaurant in Akron and surrounding areas. The margaritas are always perfect. The food is seasoned to perfection. Everything has suck great flavor when I go! The guacamole is to DIE for literally lol. Plus, the service staff is AWESOME. They treat you like family every time. Never a bad experience here ❤
Took them almost an hour to seat a party of 7. After being seated we never had a waiter. Had to get up and ask to be waited on. Waitress never came back. Drinks went empty, salsa bowls and chip disappeared still no waitress. Had to get up again and ask to be waited on. Food 40 minutes later showed up barely warm. Worst service experience we have ever had. My food was sent back and I just asked for them to keep it. Only reason for being here was to visit family we havent seen in years.
If youre looking for reasonably priced Mexican food, and nice staff, this is the place to go. Last time I went there I got vegetarian fajitas and the presentation was good, and it tasted amazing. The atmosphere to the place is a very chill Latin/Mexican vibe. Very nice, I would recommend going here.
Literally the BEST Mexican I have ever had! My boyfriend and I both got the steak fundido and it was grilled perfectly medium. We have ate at a lot of Mexican restaurants but this food tops them all!! On top of that our server Danny was very pleasant and got us everything we needed! 5 stars!
Food was good but we had to wait and wait and wait. We had to wait for our drinks, as well as ask 3 separate people for more salsa. Ended up having to go the the front desk for the salsa. Didnt get our utensils until 5 mins after we got our food. The waitress just seemed like she was ignoring us too.
I really like this place for lunch.. This time, I wanted a shrimp chimichanga, which I believe Ive had there before.. The waitress told me a shrimp enchilada would be the same thing. They were cold inside, and I didnt notice any cheese. They were not very good at all. The chip salsa was excellent though. Average, because I do usually like their good.
Great quality food with a nice menu to choose from. The place is pretty cool with their designs embroidered into the tables. They have a nice patio with a good drink selection, so its a great spot to chill outside and have a margarita on a nice day. The place has been packed every time I have been here which makes the parking lot a bit of a nightmare, which is the only reason Im not giving it a 5 star review. Its difficult to find a spot and its a little torn up, which makes it difficult if you have a smaller car.
Food was ok. Waitress couldnt understand anything we said. She brought the check we asked for more chips and a refill on our drinks waited 15 minutes nothing then asked the cashier who was walking around asked him for chips and water and got nothing. Watched a guy who worked there sit down with friends to eat and pulled a huge black hair out of his food. Absolutely terrible service I wasted about half a container of queso all because i couldnt get some chips
Went to walk in and my mother forgot her muzzle (I mean face mask... their server walked past the door with his mask under his chin then we were immediately and forcibly denied entrance for no masks... politely explained she forgot hers and asked if they had any cheap ones to give and waa cut off and told no (before the Spaniard could even hear our request) and were told they sell them across the street at the gas station. As we pointed out their staff not abiding and told them no, well pass, we were basically ran out of there being screamed at. Hes lucky I didnt knock his remaining teeth out. Support Akron owned and dont go here
Used to be good food, they have gotten more popular however their cooking has gotten worse. Last time I went there I confirmed the order at the counter and not only did they not give me my change back ( it was only a dollar or so so I didnt mind) i got home and my wife and I got nothing that we ordered. We paid for extra items and did not get those either.
The food/price was great but the service was horrible. Waited way too long to place our order for the amount of staff that was just standing around. Then she served our appetizer with our entrees...... the point of an appetizer is to hold you over until your meal arrives. I had to ask several times for a single drink/chip refill and the waitress never once checked on us during the meal. If the place was packed to the wall and understaffed I would understand but she seemed more interested at glancing at her cellphone and chatting with co workers than earning a better tip. Im on the fence on if I would eat there again or not.
Good Mexican food reasonably priced men waiters are on point! I eat in with friends and carry out as well. Quick service no longer than a 10-15 minute wait ever. I love their yum yum sauce!I usually order the enchilada dinner and fried ice cream for dessert if I have any room left, it’s a great treat not too sweet. All these years I’ve been going to Azteca, I thought it was Carmel topping on the fried ice cream till one unfriendly waitress tried to argue her point that it was honey topping. That has been the only negative experience I’ve ever had at Azteca. Atmosphere good, Quick seevice, Reasonable price!Thee Best Mexican Restaurant in Akron. 😊
Service was slow today and they werent that busy. It was blamed on the fact that there were patrons on the patio and the server was having to do both the patio and the dining room. There were only 4 people on the patio. Got our chips and salsa quickly. Had to wait a long time for server to take our soda order and then we didnt get them. Placed our order at the same time as our drinks. A 2nd person who was not a server asked if we had placed our drink order and we said yes. He went to get them. A 3rd person who might have been the Mgr asked if we had placed our drink order just as person #2 brought them to us. Then our food arrived. I had chicken enchiladas which I thought were a little dry as was the rice. Tasted fine otherwise. Was supposed to get guacamole salad and ended up with sour cream salad without guacamole. Due to our long wait, we got our sodas free. Have been there before with better service and better food.
Do not order to go from this place. I have had my order messed up 3 times now and they charge you for stuff you didnt even get or ask for. I even called to talk to the manager and she hung up on me and when I call back to ask why she would hang up. She said sorry we are busy and I do not have time to talk and hung up again. This is not the kind of business I will ever spend my money at ever again. She should be fired for treating a customer that way.
I walked in and placed an order for Doordash, the food was ready in about 7 minutes. I cant believe how fast the service was when I showed up. I would highly recommend this place for dine in and carry out. Also, I commend the mariachi music player, he was playing solo and I loved it!
Im from Cleveland not necessarily from general area here. So usually when Im in the Akron area I am clueless as to where to grab something to eat. Now, remember I stopped in here figuring that if looks like most other Mexican restaurants and was blown away by the reception courtesy service throughout the night and the food was beyond belief. We could not have done anything better than they did. Wish I could be more often.
This is only my second time coming here, but it will probably be my last. The service could have been a bit better if we received a courtesy check up (asking for refills, if the food tasted okay, etc.) The food was on point! The taste was definitely not lacking. I give my rating of 3 due to the combination of horrible drinks (Michelada) and service. I would recommend for a good local Mexican restaurant.
This place is better than I expected. I was in Akron for one night and my colleague and I decided to go here. The service is very friendly, the food is palatable. The menu follows the usual path for American Mexican restaurants, which sidesteps a lot of the nicest aspects of Mexican cooking, but one must play to ones audience. I had the Chile Colorado which was reasonably tasty.
Best Mexican restaurant in the area. Their prices are unbelievably low for authentic Mexican food. And the MARGARITAS. You seriously can not find margaritas this good/strong for the price anywhere else in Ohio. Staff is always extremely friendly, every single time. Food comes out within 4 minutes sometimes, its ridiculously fast. I honestly can no say one bad thing about this place, I go here at least 3 times a month.
I was born and raised in Arizona. This restaurant would not cut in in the southwest. For the NE Ohio area, Azteca is one of the better Mexican places. The service is quick. The salsa is good. Great value and selection of lunch menu. Easy to get a lunch under 9 dollars. The inside is always clean.
This is my favorite place to get tacos in Akron! On busy nights, it can be a bit of a wait to get a table, but its worth it. Everything Ive gotten there has been delicious and the servers are very friendly. The restaurant was recently remodeled and the interior is very nice! I would definitely recommend going on an off night so that its not as busy.
AMAZING FOOD!!!! If you are looking for amazing Mexican food, heres the place to go! Great service and great food!! The server we had was awesome!!! He was the sweetest and made my 4 yr old bro laugh!!! His name was Mollo and if you have had him, you know how great he is. We also had many other waiters come check on us while we were eating, asking how the food was.Good job, Azteca!!!
Have been going to Azteca for many years and, since their great interior remodeling it has become the go-to Mexican restaurant for my wife and I. HOWEVER, several recent visits have resulted in frustration, mostly regarding drink orders. 1) We ALWAYS order medium size gold margaritas but have received different sized glasses on more than one occasion. 2) On our last visit we ordered our usual medium gold that came in a smaller glass (no way it was 16 ounces as advertised) and also didnt taste right. We questioned the waiter about drink size. We had had much larger glasses on our previous visit. Also, did the recipe for gold margaritas change or were we served flavored drinks by mistake? On one occasion we were told that they had to use different style glasses than the normal medium because they were busy. 3) Although our most recent visit was on a Friday, it was early (5 p.m.), and the restaurant was only one-third full, but our waiter seemed to be in a hurry for us to order and leave (It was way too early for him to worry about table turnover). We usually like to enjoy our drinks, chips, and salsa for a while before we order our entree, but always order a second round of drinks with our entree. Maybe the waiter thought because we are in our 60s and have gray hair we wouldnt spend money or leave a decent tip.Next time I come in, I guess we will have to order our drinks at the bar ourselves, and question the bartender and/or management as to any inconsistency regarding glass size. If I have to do that a second time we will not be coming back.
We had a really big party, so it may be hard to judge, but Ill do my best. The service was ok.The server made a rude comment about me being on my phone. I was putting something in my calendar. Sorry. The food was ok.We had twenty people, and they tried to split us up. After ten minutes of uncomfortable debate, they took us to the back room and sat us all together. After all that, Im not sure why they kept telling us we couldnt all sit together. Weird. I have no desire to got back.
Plenty of parking for both cars and 18-wheelers. I was seated immediately. Chips and Salsa provided free within 30 seconds of sitting down. Food was delivered very quick. I got an enchilada plate with 5 different enchiladas and an appetizer of bean dip topped with cheese. Both were beyond reproach. My waitress made me feel welcome and I will eat here every time I am in town.
Service was marginal at best even though we called ahead and told them we were doing a dinner party for 22. My food was AWFUL! Cheese enchiladas were swimming in sauce, the sauce was super salty and the enchiladas were chewy. Needless to say I sent them back and told them I wanted nothing else. Two of our girls ordered dinners that they never brought out. We had to ask about them and have them made again. Wont go back.
Am slightly disappointed honestly, I had high hopes and have been wanting to try Azteca ever since I first passed their restaurant years ago.I feel like I couldve gotten better quality, as well as quantity, from Taco Bell.I got the pork carnitas, which is usually my favorite. Their carnitas arrived (had to use door dash, thanks Covid) lukewarm even though the restaurant is less than a mile from me. They were gristly and tough and a lot of fatty pieces. I got a small amount of rice and beans, and three crusty soft flour tortillas. My eight year old got a cheese quesadilla, which was also cold and paper thin, with cold rice. She is now complaining of a stomach ache and cant stop pooping. My husband has yet to come home to eat his enchiladas rancheros, but I will update when he does.Overall, I feel like I wasted $40 and an hour waiting for a disappointing meal that wasnt very enjoyable.
This is a nice restaurant frequented usually by local employees (read: mostly Goodyear) and is great place to grab lunch real quick. Their service is incredibly fast, filling portions, very reasonably priced and of course bottomless free chips and salsa. They can handle small to big groups and have always found the staff friendly.Restaurant is pretty tasty but be reminded that this is American Mexican. So there is no short supply of cheese in your food. Not that I am complaining.
You wont be disappointed in the food. They do business lunches and groups (6 to 10) very well. Service always fast and helpful. This is one of my top 4 Mexican restaurants in Akron area, the only detractor is the age of the building and the environment. Again not back, nothing to stay away from, but their business is serving Mexican food to their customers and they do that well. Lunch is the majority of times I have been there.
Azteca used to be my favorite restaurant now I would never even step foot in there this is the third owner now and whoever the cook is is just not good at all I always get the Mexican stew used to be one of their top sellers it has no flavor at all now used to be one of my favorites but cannot go there anymore the cook is no good at all
This is my favorite Mexican place in the city but then again doesnt everyone say that about the restaurant by their house? Service is top notch they keep upgrading the decor and it is very attractive inside and out now. The food is delicious. Their queso dip is the best one around.
Everyone that likes Mexican food always has their own favorite restaurant they like to go to. Despite the fact that most Mexican restaurants offer the same menu choices, each restaurant has their own unique twist to how they prepare their food. When I visit friends in Akron, Azteca is my favorite place to go for Mexican. The place has a huge menu with good food at decent prices. I really like their chicken tortilla soup. Thanks to the recommendation from a dear friend of mine, I order up a side of the bean and cheese dip along with some of their delicious salsa and add it to the soup. Dont get me wrong, the soup is great by itself but becomes even more delicious with the add-ins. Fresh tortilla chips and salsa while you wait for your food is standard here. The restaurant went through a makeover around the end of the year 2017 beginning of 2018 that gives the place of fresh new look inside along with a beautiful bar and TVs. Outdoor patio seating is also available. The restaurant also features a back room if you happen to have a desire to hold an event there.
A little over a year ago I had a great experience here and gave a 5 star review. Today Im changing my review due to inconsistency. I frequent this restaurant, 10 or more times a year I come here and this may be my last due to inconsistency.I order the burrito Michoacan which has always come with six shrimp on the top, today on my first fathers day as a father I got 5 shrimp. May seem petty but in my mind consistency is what makes a good restaurant.I also got served a glass with a broken rim for my margaritas....like cmon how do you not notice that the glass you gave me is dangerously broken and could cut your patrons wide open? If the dishwasher didnt catch it the server should have or whomever dips the glass in the salt should have noticed.Service wasnt God awful but certainly not as good as I had in my first few experiences here. Ive noticed when they seat you in the back room rather than the main room in front you kind of get slept on. We closed our menus and set them in a pile waiting patiently for our orders to be taken. To top it all off, I was sent an email stating that for fathers day I could get money knocked off my bill, however I needed to print the coupon and I dont own a printer so I did not receive a discount for fathers day. Last time youll see me in there dropping fifty dollars.
I enjoy going to Mexican restaurants, and this was no exception. From the start the service was very good, with smiles and warm charm.Everything was prompt, and they frequently checked on me to make sure I was accommodated. As a vegetarian I am always looking at the Vegetarian and Vegan options, with Vegan my first choice followed by vegetarian if theres better options.Due to having a workflow happening (this was a work lunch for me) I ordered the Huevos Rancheros, since this is normally a safe option at most Mexican restaurants for guys on the go like myself.I did notice that there were not a great many vegan options, however there were a decent number of vegetarian options, and the vegetarian serving was good, I certainly did not leave hungry. The decor was also quite nice and pleasing to the eyes, feeling like a combination of modern and classic Hispanic.I would certainly come back and can recommend it to anyone interested.
The semi parking was free which was great for me. The salsa and queso I got were extremely spicy and difficult to enjoy. The nachos I had order were extremely overpriced for what little shrimp, streak, and chicken I did get in there. Hopefully next time will be a better experience
The food was great ! But when me and my fiance went last week ,we saw some nets was flying in the air !! But anyhow, we did not make a big deal.. That food was served very quickly, was great and we enjoyed it..hour before closing, they decide to clean up a bar with chlorine.. I have asthma, my breathing was going off and my fiance eyes was start burning.. When my fiance went and address this too Azteca owner he rudely say I dont smell anything and walk away. 😣😖 When we confront on front of him two waitress they said, YES they are cleaning with chlorine and other chemicals bar.. The Owner say oh well.. I was completely shocked the way we was treated..All I can say Oh well dude, you just lost regular costumers who been coming all the time, see ya later alligator !! you will not gonna see our face again in your place for being treated like POS they could have wait when few of us was finished eating and then start cleaning with the harsh chemicals.. BYE BYE ✌

2022-06-12Great place with reasonable prices. The staff has always been polite & accomidating. The food is fresh and full of flavor. I am very picky with rating any place with 5 stars. This rating is my reassurance to you that you 100% will not be disappointed here.

2022-05-07I wanted to say that when my hubby and I went the other day they were very busy. Ive never seen waitstaff (and I imagine the cooks also) hustle like that. They even had our entree ready before we anticipated it would be ready. Delicious combination fajitas for 2. Yummy! Even if the food hadnt been excellent I would still give them 5 stars for service.

2021-05-04Main Entree was delish! Salsa was great, but chips lacked any sort of taste. Friendly and efficient staff. It was 80 degrees the day we went and they had no A/C on so it was less than desirable dining inside. We made it work with their pitcher of margaritas.

2022-07-20Good when compared to its peers. Food is delicious, service has consistently been good, and the prices are fair. Location is convenient but isnt exactly welcoming (main road, area lacks character).I go here about 8 times a year and will continue to do so.

2022-06-05Very friendly atmosphere. Food was excellent. I was surprised to see you had to pay for chips and salsa, only because Ive seen it as a complementary appetizer at other restaurants. Did not affect the rating. Will be back.

2022-05-21Our server was speedy and attentive, so they get two stars. Our seat had crumbs from the previous guests.. no biggie.. but the table was sticky. Asked for a booster seat for our child, it was covered in crumbs. I wiped it with a wipe from our stash and the wipe was black. Finally got to open the menu and the menu had food spilled in it that hadnt been wiped off. Our food was super quick! But I have to say I was afraid to eat it. Naturally, like any sketched out northeast Ohioan at a restaurant, I ate it anyway as to not be rude, haha. Unfortunately, its now later in the day and maybe its coincidence but now were having some stomach problems. This place needs a solid scrubbing from top to bottom. I definitely dont recommended this restaurant.

2022-05-21Ive been here at least 5 different times, and anything I tried was DELICIOUS! I never have to worry about adding any spices as it tastes amazing everything I go. Prices are very reasonable too. Best salsa and chips Ive had at any mexican restaurant too!

2022-04-19I was considering leaving only two stars, but the food was so good I must bump up to three. However - and this is important - there are very good reasons the experience cannot be rated higher. One: The tortilla chips/salsa, which can and will be used as an easy first impression because you will have them at every Mexican or Tex/Mex restaurant you will dine at. The tortilla chips here are dry and unsalted, making them simply a delivery mechanism for the salsa. The salsa was surprisingly spicy with a good flavor, but very watery. We had to ask a few times for a second bowl for our party as some of us wanted to add salt. Two: We were dying for strong drinks after a hard day, so I asked specifically if the margaritas were strong. Our server indicated that hed make them strong. I ordered a pitcher, and when asked Gold? replied YES PLEASE. I would be shocked if there was more than one shot of tequila in the entire pitcher. Not one of us felt even a slight buzz, which is completely unacceptable for a $22 pitcher. The menu price for a pitcher said $21.75, so the Gold may have resulted in an even higher cost. For basically fruit juice. :(Three: It took 20 mins for our server to come back to take our order, we were actively looking around wondering if hed gone on break or something. Asked again for a second bowl of salsa, and napkins.Four: We were seated in a booth by a bumped-out bay window, which featured some dead-looking plants, dust, and cobwebs. Not what youd consider an appealing atmosphere. In closing - when our food came, it was outstanding. One of the best chicken fajita quesadillas Ive ever had. The rice served with it was flavorful, and a generous helping of sour cream was also provided.Im still stung from paying $22 for a pitcher of iced fruit juice though.

2022-05-11Convenience or quality? I chose convenience tonight when I decided to stop at Azteca. Seems like the food comes out on a hot plate full of cheese. Disappointing at best and at least tasteless food. Salsa bland, taco was thrown together and so was the enchilada. Good beer, cold and tasty. I just remembered why I stopped coming here.
