I went it to the NORTH OLMSTED location and they was out of cars on a weekend and locked the doors so when I got there I said why are you’ll closed the answer was because we are out of cars really where a business do this at ?HERTZ on Detroit is no BETTER in Lakewood that review is next terrible 😞 experience playing with people bank accounts. 0 stars ⭐️ Google invest in it please these days thanking you’ll In advance 😊
Great experience .. satisfied with service.. Nadine is great..gave me a chance to upgrade.. very happy.. when we returned the car it was a great experience..the gentleman at the desk was very helpful..I will definitely use the service again!!I recommend this car rental agency!!
Dont even bother wasting your time. Booked a rental online the day before they gladly took my money, I called them 30 minutes before my designated pick-up time they said they had no cars available on their lot to call back and 30 minutes to see if the person had returned the car that they were going to give me. I called back he said he had something but I had to hurry because he had to give it to someone else if I wasnt there in enough time ( mind you I made the pickup time for 12 and already paid for) and I get there and there is no one at the front desk I waited a good 10 minutes then he was asking for my social security number and my credit card and my drivers license said you had to do a background check and a credit check what she said I didnt pass and that sometimes that happens and then I did not getting a car at all! Youre better off just going to an Enterprise, thats what I did and it literally only took 20 minutes and they were the most helpful and friendly people Im telling you stay away from Avis there are bunch of idiots!* I also called the customer service to get my $216 back that they were glad to take from me but then they couldnt find me in the system as ever even requesting a car*
Most of the customers at this location is African American, they talk to us like garbage and steal our money like slave days and try to confuse with chunoed up charges, invoices, and fake card issues! This place is a scam! Lahey can type up anything and expect you to agree with a piece a paper! This place needs to be shut down and investigated by the police!
After pre-booking a 7 seater SUV and arriving to the location to pick up my vehicle I was advised they did not have the correct vehicle available to rent. I was given a lesser vehicle and advised to take the vehicle to Avis at the airport and they will be able to swap out for the correct vehicle. Arrived at the airport waited in line for over an hour and was advised they too didnt have the correct booked vehicle available and that they overbooked. I was advised to keep the lesser vehicle given or return it to the rental place I picked it up from which was already closed. There were available 3rd row SUVs outside on the lot and I was advised they were already reserved, but they would not honor my reservation. Hoping to fix this situation in the morning by swapping out the vehicle at another location. This was the most time consuming worst experience I have ever had in renting a vehicle and will absolutely never book a rent from Avis again.
The service here is extremely horrible and the staff are very rude, unprofessional, and not helpful at all. I tried to rent a car and booked it in a week advance, the day of my pick up, not only was the car not there but the woman also ran my credit and denied me service. What rental place runs credit? Im not buying a car Im renting. This place needs to be shut down period. They will never get my service again and I will make sure that everyone i know, knows to never go there either. -0 stars
I wish I could leave 0 stars. I had a paid reservation, I pay for a Lyft to the pickup location. Then I find out the computers have been down for 4 days and they cant rent cars, even though they have cars to rent. I am told to call a 1 800 number. So I have to fix their mixup. I called the number and no cars are available in the area... So I get a car from Enterprise and pay for another Lyft there just to get my rental car faster. All around bad experience.
I typically get my oil changes and small service items done at the Sears Auto Center (maybe 4 or 5 times now)...... But I think Im heading elsewhere next time.The guys there always seem too busy to even acknowledge that Im waiting, and waiting, and waiting. Just say Hello, let me just finish this call and Ill be with you. OR, try multi-tasking, its not that hard to look something up online and take someones keys. If the Sears Auto Desk is going to be a waiting room, then put some chairs around there so that everyone knows they are about to wait for some period of time. Sorry guys! Im sure youre busy but I am too!
Where to start Im a uber driver and location never called me for my weekly payment and everytime I try just get reservations hotline they wont pickup the phone but send a cerified letter for repossessing the car I work third shift 7 to 7 I shouldnt have to stop in every week to pay the payment if only they would pick up the phone or call me!

2022-04-10Got a rental from this location yesterday,And they gave me a dirty filthy Car And when I went back inside the guy saidt thats all we have We do the best that we can do just take it. He was very rude. The car has alot of scratches on it and he didnt even want to mark it down but I complained about it so he said ok fine with an attitude then went outside and only marked a couple down, the car is still dirty and needs to be washed. If I could rate this a negative ten I definitely would. They need a customer service class review or something and corporate needs to come in there as well.

2022-04-30Rude staff that doesnt know their companys debit card policy. They both were talking down to us the entire time. Had to be the worst customer service Ive ever had. Cant believe Avis & Budget would let such rude staff represent them..

2022-06-12Rented a Ford Explorer, the car was very nice and clean. Staff was nice and efficient. Returning the car was no problem. I would rent here again.

2021-12-05Rented from this location this morning. Great service. Fast and friendly. Was told they had an altima. When I arrived I was offered an upgrade for renting for long term. I had a choice of a couple suvs. Took a nice Mitsubishi SUV. Great to have a choice. Will be renting again from this location again in January and February.

2021-07-24Came to town on a short notice leisure trip and needed a car. Booked an Intermediate size car (Toyota Corolla or similar) directly through the main AVIS site for this location about three days out. Arrived and was told that the only vehicle they had was a minivan. The clerk blamed it on other renters not returning their cars. Since our plans involved going to Cedar Point, we needed a vehicle so after a quick back and forth about my reservation, I was basically told, its this or nothing so I took it. Besides not being a fan of the vehicle, it was also extremely dirty. A quick 5 minute vacuum and wipe down of the inside would have made a huge difference. It also had a very strong chemical odor that was so strong you could actually taste it in the back of your through. It made for a very unpleasant ride. At least the van drove fine and we had no issues on that front.Judging by the other reviews, the practice of not having the vehicle type that customers reserve seems to be their norm. With the scarcity of available short notice rentals in this area, customers have little choice but to put up with it since there arent many other options. If I come back to Cleveland, I am staying far away from this rental location. In the event theres nothing else available anywhere else, Id find something through TURO instead. I should have probably gone that route from the start.

2019-07-31If i could give them a negative star I would. Dont rent here** didnt have vehicle we rented made us go to the air port to get a vehicle. Dropped vehicle off then 10 days later started getting charges for gas that we returned FULL. kept charging more on credit card ended uo cancelling credit card and disputing charges still trying to fix month later. Be AWARE! Car from airport dirty had to clean before I would let my family in the car.

2021-06-17Husband prepaid for a car rental, in his name, with his information. When he arrived the rude, unprofessional person behind the counter would not allow him to take a car because he paid with my card and was not present. Instead of asking for a second card with my husbands name, or trying to work with him, or having any level of customer service at all he cancelled the reservation saying we didnt show up and without refund. Had to spend 40 minutes on hold with their corporate line to get the issue resolved and it took all of 5 minutes.I will never recommend this company to any one, especially not this location. Dude was not happy to be at work and could not even pretend to care.

2021-09-20If it was possible to give a Zero I would, the service needs personal development in customer service, just from reading previous reviews, I will say it is safe to assume this is a regular occurrence and it continues to happen. I rented a vehicle that had bad brakes, I would have returned it the very same day but due to the time of renting it was late in the day and they were closed. I asked since I wasnt able to use the vehicle for the purpose of renting it. Could I return it a day later (NO WAS THE ANSWER). Please understand that this was my second trip here because my original pick up date, when I arrived they had no cars available. I had a slow leak requested assistance was told my type of rental required for me to talk with the above location. I could continue with this but I will digress and say one thing. I know everyone has different experiences and I get that but it was how I was treated when I needed the assistance, thats what determined that I will never rent a car from the above location ever again. 2021-03-11Negative 5 stars for Avis. I have rented cars from here for years until recently. I traveled to Indiana & AVIS subsequently billed me for nearly 2 months on my credit card for tolls in New York City!? on the same dates I was in Indiana. that totaled over $100. 12 emails to corporate & finally a call back. Avis cannot stop these charges & attempts at stealing. There is nothing Avis can or will do. Watch YOUR CREDIT card for 2 months & call them and you credit card .dont expect an apology or incentive to rent again.

2021-09-23Ive had this car for 6 weeks and for some reason they have not attempted to take money from my account, the money is still in my account. This gentleman had me call my bank, my bank verified that no transaction was attempted from avis, he had me call cooperate they said not to charge me late fees, hes attempting to charge me fees and a new rental agreement, basically 4 weeks for an error on their end. Cooperate and my bank both said he did not attempt any charges. He tried calling me one time and said he doesnt need to call me in reference to this, this is how I make my living he could care less! He is stealing money from people for his awful book keeping
