I have never experienced customer service like this before! Not only in car maintenance and repair industry, but also compared to any other industry services. AMAZING! My car drives like new with 200K miles!
I am new to the area and brought my car here after it broke down, leaving me without a vehicle. I was very impressed with the facility. It was clean, well decorated and quite comfortable, not what you expect from a repair shop. Diane, at the front desk, is kind and genuine. She does a great job making you feel at ease through the process. She was very helpful with everything from start to finish. I was given a courtesy vehicle while car was being repaired which was very important for me. There was some miscommunication that happened when another employee had called to talk with me about additional repairs needed. They went above and beyond to reach out to me after realizing it and clear things up which I greatly appreciated. It is only from the stress that caused that I give 4 stars. Everything else was exemplary! Wonderful customer service!
AMAZING customer service. I kept hearing a strange noise when I pressed my brakes, I called automotive and Diane said I could bring my car right in. The same day I had my brakes replaced, I was also able to get an oil change which I was really in need of I just hadn’t had time to stop for one. Automotive Specialty Services gives world class service. Look no further for a good, quality, friendly, TRUSTWORTHY place to have your car serviced. I will definitely come here and I will refer all of my family and friends as well!
Ive been taking my car here for over a year and have had nothing but great experiences all around! They are the nicest people doing honest work and really know how to take care of their customers. I love their transparency and just how easy they make maintaining your vehicle. Give them a call!
I chose to visit Automotive Specialty Services for service to the back brakes on my 2011 Toyota Sienna based on positive reviews from satisfied customers. Even without an appointment, they were able to get to my car quickly and even provided a shuttle to transport me home while repairs were being made. Their attention to detail and the customer experience are top-notch. Everyone, from the front desk, to the shuttle driver, to the gentleman servicing my car, was friendly and knowledgeable.
I have driven by Automotive Specialty many times. When my car started making noises AS stood out in my head so I gave them a call and Im very happy I did. I had a great experience from the beginning to the end. The facility is clean, I was offered a loaner car which was a huge help to me, and the CS is awesome. So far, my experience has been wonderful. Very friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable staff. I took my 2008 Ford Explorer in last Friday for an oil change and inspection (since it was a new to me but used car recently bought) to find out any hidden issues. They let me use a loaner van so I could still get to work on time and called me a bit later in the day with their findings from what I had mentioned with my own concerns. Their quote was thorough and detailed when I spoke to their mechanic. He was extremely patient when I asked questions and answered them without hesitation, which set my mind at ease with his skill and knowledge. They let me keep their loaner for the weekend so I wouldnt be without transportation and I got my baby back today! They made amazing time with the work needed and helped out price wise with what coupons they were currently offering. Diana is a very lovely and classy lady and was extremely professional. Thank you for your hard work, everyone at Automotive Specialty Services! You guys have earned another long time customer!
Every experience is always welcoming, informative, and pleasant. Diane and Casey are always clear on the status of my vehicle, what repairs are needed, and what will require attention in the future. All while the awesome and knowledgable mechanics in the shop are getting my car back in tip top shape. If you want your vehicle serviced and not your wallet, this is definitely the place to go!
I am editing the review below because shortly after posting it, we decided to get a 3rd opinion on the problem originally diagnosed by Automotive Specialty Services. We had a friend complete the inspection and he confirmed that indeed the problem in question did exist and it turns out the dealership was misleading. Since that time, we have continued to use Automotive Specialty and greatly appreciate their services! I have kept the original review below to be transparent (and believe that second opinions are helpful) but it should be clear that Automotive Specialty Services has only given us truthful information and reason to trust their expertise.As part of the car care club, we were pleased with the ease of scheduling an oil change and paying a reasonable price for the services. The staff at large are extremely kind and accommodating. Also, I appreciated the results that were sent to me via text once my vehicle was checked over (then a staff member called me as I had questions about those results). Again-the employees are professional and efficient. However, I was disappointed with the recommendations given regarding two repairs that were needed for my vehicle. As my vehicle was only purchased a few months ago (in wonderful used condition), the issues communicated to me seemed impossible. I ended up taking my vehicle to the dealership where it was purchased and they checked it over. Only one of the issues that Automotive Specialty Services found was accurately diagnosed. The other issue was nonexistent (my husband looked with the mechanic at the dealership to see for himself). I am disappointed because if I wouldnt have investigated further (with a second opinion), I would have spent almost $400 on a problem that did not exist. I suggest getting a second opinion if major repairs are suggested.
I always dread taking my car in to get it fixed. I know it will be a lot of money, and I always feel pressured to spend more. This experience was completely different. I felt that they really tried their best to keep the cost low and fix only what was necessary. I was treated so kind and they even gave me a loaner car while mine was being fixed. I ended up spending a lot of money, but I felt it was worth it with the excellent customer service I received. My car now drives like new! I have already told all my friends about them and I am now a forever customer. Thank you!!
I have had many, many experiences with Diane and her crew. They are friendly and appreciative of their customers. We have had as many as 5 cars in rotation there. They are always flexible and complete. my last was simply an oil change and tire rotation. I called, was told to come right in and I was back at work in no time. The cookies arent bad either. I definitely trust Automotive Specialty with my car repairs and service issues which means I trust them to take care of my family.

My experience has been wonderful. The staff are all super-friendly and do anything they can to accommodate my schedule and needs. I am able to drop my car off in the morning and get a ride from the driver Brian to my house or work. This is such a great perk and is so convenient. In regards to the work done on my vehicle, all of the recommendations have been valuable and thorough. The pricing has been fair and I receive an entire breakdown of the inspection upon pickup. Did I mention that Brian also picks me up and brings me back to pick up my vehicle? I will definitely continue to use Automotive Specialty Services!
Ive been coming to Automotive Specialty Services for a few years after moving to Avon and trying out a few local places. Diane, Casey, and crew have always taken care of me and my family. I bring both of my cars to them. They offer the best advice, guidance, and options that you can find for your vehicle along with the best warranty on parts that Ive seen. They also never pressure or make you feel like youre a terrible person if you dont take their recommendations immediately. I recently brought my wifes Traverse in for an oil change and mentioned a few things going on with it but wasnt sure what was going on. Come to find out the water pump was cracked and leaking coolant which wasnt ideal but they sent pictures and helped me understand my options and the situation. By the time I was done with work they had fixed everything and came and picked me up and work and had me out the door in less than 5 minutes. They provide all the conveniences of a dealership at a fraction of the cost and Ive always been very satisfied with the work theyve done. Although I wish our cars would run flawlessly forever, Im glad we have Automotive Specialty to go to when they need some attention.
Unbelievable an honest repair shop. I took my car for an oil change and was pleasantly surprised. Diane and Scott make me feel at home . Scott took the time to show me some things that would need attention and explained what the noise was when I went over a bump. No pressure just good information.Great Service and Great People
Scheduled my oil chamge and i told them when i scheduled i was to wait with my car. When i came they said my wait was going to be 2hrs. In the meantime my son fell in the parking lot and busted his forehead. So i went in explained what happened and the lady didnt bother to ask if he was ok or to offer any bandaide or anything. So i told them i have to reschedule my oil change and that i wanted to wait for my car and she told me they have nothing until the 2nd week of july. I said NEVERMIND! never again
I am pleased to have found Automotive Specialty Services when I moved here in 2008. They have taken great care of my Chevy pick up, Highlander, and now my daughters car. The service is and personal care is amazing from the entire staff. They will walk you through any problems or questions you may have. I recommend you give them a chance, they are far above any other auto shop out there.

One of the best, most professional automotive repair facilities in NE Ohio. Have had my cars serviced there over the years and was one of the services I truly missed when I had to move out-of-state for work. They are trust worthy and never try to upsell services, they diagnose the concern and recommend the service as well as the recommended time frame of repair. I recently took in my F150 in for service (brake inspection) and they did a thorough once over of the entire vehicle. They stated that at this time brake service was not needed, but recommended an alignment. The truck was serviced in a timely manner and the techs kept me informed during the entire process.Professional, caring staff, as well as a great value and they stand behind their work. .
By far the best auto repair facility we have been to. I appreciate the fact that they counsel me on the repairs, discuss prioritizing certain operations and provide pricing options. Casey is extremely fair and really good guy. Free loaners are provided, just make sure to give advanced notice. The waiting area is clean and comfortable and if you pick your car up in the afternoon, they give you fresh baked cookies! I am comfortable sending my kids there knowing they wont be taken advantage of. Finally, they offer financing so you dont get crushed with a major, unexpected expense. Get the Car Care Club, too. Definitely a great way to save money!
Wow, what a great experience. This is the second time I have been in for service and loved the experience. I dropped off my car and Brian took me to my work and picked me up when my car was done. I had an oil change and requested them to put wiper blades on my car. When they called to let me know my car was done, they informed me the wiper blades were free with the oil change. What a nice surprise. I know my car is getting older and I put a lot of miles on my car each year. They mentioned a couple of items that need to be done (which I knew about before going there) but they did not pressure me or scare me into getting them done immediately. They provided me quotes for each service and I now have time to budget for those expenses. Everyone was so nice and I loved the chocolate chip cookies they gave me when I left.

Weve been taking our vehicles to Automotive Specialty Services for at least 10 years and we are totally satisfied with the service. Diane and Casey are honest and dont try to sell you things you dont need. Their communication with you is great and they will answer any and all questions you have. The lifetime oil change package is great and they always have options for you when repairs are needed. They will drop you off and even pick you up if needed. There are monthly contests you can enjoy and their newsletter is both fun and informative. Warranty work is for the dealer, all else is for them. Their prices can match anyone out there.
My husband found this place about a year ago and we have been so glad to bring our cars here. Their loaner program is such a huge help when we are not able to stay and wait. I have an older VW beetle that requires repairs from time to time. This last time, Diane, at the front (she is awesome), sent me photos of what they found and what needed repair. I have never had a service place send photos so I could understand what is being done. I appreciate this part of their service - they are very honest. The entire staff is friendly and takes their time to explain the work being done.The waiting area is clean and stocked with coffee, water and cookies. The service here is excellent! They were able to get me in first thing the morning after Christmas without a problem. Their communication was wonderful. We were in from out of town and they were able to have us fixed and back on the road by noon. Not to mention they gave 10% off for AAA members! I would highly recommend Automotive Specialty Services!
Customer Service was excellent. I dropped my car off in the morning, and used their shuttle service to and from my job. I was able to get my car serviced without having to schedule time off work! They updated me of the progress during the day, and sent full reports via text, pictures included. I am very happy with the whole experience and would recommend them to anyone interested.
We recently had an issue with one of our vehicles and had to have it towed to Automotive Specialties. They were able to determine what was wrong and repair it same day which was important to us. They happened to email me a coupon that morning to offset the cost which they do frequently. They offer free rides to and from their shop and a loaner car if needed. Im impressed by how knowledgeable the front office staff is regarding vehicles. It makes it easier to make appointments and explain what is happening with our vehicles. They are always friendly and willing to work with you to get your vehicle repaired and offer lots of payment options. They try to make car repairs less painful to the car owner. Great job!
I have to admit I have avoiding going here. You know the saying “ something is too good to be true” ...that’s what I thought of Automotive Specialties. I needed an oil change and also had a slow leak in one of my tires. I had a coupon and didn’t need an appointment so I figured I’d try them as they couldn’t be any different than anywhere else. WOW! Was I surprised. The people were super friendly. The front was super clean. They didn’t overwhelm me with a thousand things I should fix because my car was “unsafe”. I paid what I expected to pay without any surprise added fees. I felt like I was valued as a customer and even more just as a person. And as a bonus, I even got warm cookies as I left. I’m only upset that I didn’t go there sooner.
I am very impressed with the service here! They helped me figure out what I needed for my car and did not try to up sale me on anything I did not need. What truly impressed me was when the mechanic took me out to the car and showed me in detail everything that was going on with my car. He also took the time to write me estimates on cost. (brakes, filters, tires) Literally everything I could have needed. The receptionist was also very pleasant and was very knowledgable in what the customers would need. The waiting area was the nicest I have ever seen. I will be doing all of our car business with Automotive Specialty Services from now on!
Diane and the gang have been caring for the entire familys cars for almost 15 years. Love being able to stop with a problem, get an answer and quick service. Not having to worry about having a vehicle while mine is being serviced is a Plus ! Sometimes you have to look past the difference in prices and compare service and benefits. Very affordable !!!

They offer the best advice, guidance, and options that you can find for your vehicle. They offer the best warranty on parts in the business. If they replace a part (say a power steering pump) on your vehicle and say like 5 years later you have an issue with the power steering pump again on that same car, they will replace the part free of charge (including labor). Diane and the gang have never steered me wrong. When Im in the market for a used vehicle, I bring it up to them and the go over the vehicle for me. They tell me everything they can about the vehicle and it, if they believe the vehicle is worth purchasing. I know they are not the lowest cost repair center out there, but they are still LESS expensive than taking the vehicle to the dealer, and all of their technicians have years of experience and are ASE certified. They work on all makes and models of vehicles, offer loaner cars while yours is getting serviced and 6 month same as cash payment options. I also had a issue with one of my vehicles. I dropped the vehicle off on Sunday, filled out a envelope and they were able to find out what was wrong with my car and fix it in less than one day. They are awesome and will always use them
Our sincere thanks to Automotive Specialty Services for making sure our sons had a safe car for a trip. Our engine light came on a few days before they were going to take our vehicle. I called them and they got us in right away and showed us the problem. I love the way they send you a video and clearly explain what repairs are needed. We fixed the car and we couldnt be happier with the service and genuine care for our sons welfare. We are forever grateful.
Weve been taking our cars to AS for many years and have always been taken care of well. If you schedule in advance, they offer cars to borrow so you dont have to go without while yours in getting service. They have staff that will call and explain what is needed if your cars needs repair or additional service based on their inspection. They usually wash your car before you come back to pick it up. Sometimes their prices are a little higher, but they typically have discounts available, and often if you have another shops quote, they will match or beat it. Diane is great, and the whole staff tries to get to know their customers. We feel we can trust them.

I have had my 98 Jeep worked on twice now by this shop. The first time was to replace the file pump and the a second was to replace the exhaust system, shocks, and check the breaks.The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Both times they called me, explained the issue, and my options for getting it repaired. They offered to send pictures and gave me quotes on recommend and cheaper parts. I am very satisfied with the repairs I have had done and highly recommend them.

This is THE BEST automotive services place I have ever been to! This was my first time going to Automotive Specialty Services and they treated me like I have been a valued customer for a decade. Everyone that comes through the door feels like they are an important and high-valued customer. They performed my oil change quickly, in addition to a tire rotation. Their website is super user-friendly to schedule appointments online. My car also needed some additional services done and they talked me through the different options without making me feel pressured to take action one way or another. I cannot wait to come back to Automotive Specialty Services in Avon to get automotive service on my vehicle, and the rest of the vehicles in my family.
I travel quite a bit for work and need to trust that my vehicle is well cared for on a regular basis. This facility is very clean and the waiting room is stocked with coffee, water, and tea. The staff is courteous and willing to explain the need for a repair as well as the priority of a recommended repair along with approximate cost. It is helpful that options exist for waiting for an oil change and tire rotation or having the ability to be taken home (Brian is great!) and picked up to retrieve my vehicle when repairs are needed. I have been offered a loaner vehicle as well. It is well noted that the individuals here are socially conscientious. They support many good causes and offer the opportunity for their customers to be a part their donations. Lastly, it is convenient to buy the vehicle discount package that includes oil changes and discounts on some of the services. Thank you for your good work.
I cant say enough good things about Automotive Specialty Services. I used to always stress about our cars and where to take them to get fixed, but I never do anymore. The whole team always takes great care of our cars and gets me where I need to be in the meantime. Everyone is kind, welcoming and understanding, and they always do a great job fixing our cars.
I had taken my 2009 Chevy Malibu into Automotive Specialty Services this past Monday (03/13/17) due to steam coming from under my hood, and a bad shaking while driving. They identified that the problem had to do with my braking system and they were able to perform the work the same day, also they were able to provide with me a ride to work that morning and offered to pick me up. My car is riding great now and I am very pleased with the service that they gave me, I will definitely be back in the future.
They were nice yes. Clean waiting with coffee room, welcoming and professional staff. The owners looks like she take care of her customers. No issues there at all. But honestly very overpriced. I ended up going somewhere else where the total bill for fixing the car was cheaper than what they asked for to diagnose the car. So they would be fantastic if you are willing to pay extra to get the car fixed.
I always go to Automotive Specialty Services for my oil changes! Theyre very accomodating from driving me back to work and picking me up at the end of the day. Their inspections are insightful and really cool to see, they come in email or text and allow you to see the problems rather than having to rely on the mechanics word. I fully trust this company with my car!
I am new to the area and received a welcome package in the mail. Just in time for an oil change & tire rotation. They are so nice here, gave me a loaner car to get to work, had my car done and washed before lunch time. Very cool shop that will send you emails with pictures of your car with notes explaining the problem, I love this. Everyone here Ive talked to seems competent and pleasant to talk to.Editing this review to be 5 stars. When I took my car in last time they recommended that I do some major work on the back brakes. I said no at the time in order to try and same money for the holiday. 5 days later I was out of town and the breaks were causing a lot of problems. I had to take the car to another shop where they charged me way more than what Automotive Specialty Services quoted me.
Best automotive shop I have ever worked with. So professional and nice. The free taxi service and free loaner vehicles make getting your car taken care of so fantastically convenient. All at a great price. And to top it off all the labor and parts they do are warrantied.

Very friendly staff and not pushy at all! Im easily overwhelmed with car problem and the staff here are very knowledgeable and nice! I had a service where I needed to wait about an hour with my full of energy 2 year old. Most garages are not somewhere you would feel comfortable waiting with a 2 year old but they had a spotless waiting area with clean toys.
I was referred to Automotive Specialty Services by a colleague, and I am so glad I found them! After a tire blowout on my Audi A3 at midnight on a weeknight, I needed a quick fix. I called my dealership for a quote (where I receive all other service) and felt like I was being overcharged for two tires and an alignment. I spoke to ASS who sells their tires at cost, and they beat my dealers pricing by over $250! However, customer service was not compromised. They worked around my schedule to perform the repair, and even provided a free loaner car! Theyre located 30 mins from my house, but I will definitely be back. Totally worth the drive. Thank you!
Excellent experience. Automotive Specialty Services same-as-cash program made my repair affordable, and their price for new tire installation and alignment was market competitive. The shop also offered several incentives for me as a new customer, including a discounted oil change and a $10 coupon for joining their text club. Will be bringing my car back when it comes time.
Absolutely the best place to take your car, people there are friendly and make you feel so welcome the minute you come in the door. They are honest and more than open about making sure you understand what needs done. They loan you a rental car to get your thru any repairs, or even for just an oil change. I cant say enough good things about them. I am on my own now taking care of my auto and I feel that I can trust them completely. On top of that, whenever I get in trouble and have a problem I can take my car right in there and they address it right away, who else would give you service like that, not many. UPDATE, last week took my car in for a check up and some issues and was taken care of right away, brought my granddaughter in and she did not want to leave. Automotive Specialty Services has been my mechanic for several years. I have never before received such wonderful service and care. They will send you a link to video to show you a problem they are looking at so you fully understand. They know all of their customers and make you feel welcome and important. So I contacted this company to get a quote to repair a leak in my rear axle seals. I was quoted the outrageous price of $1,400.00 plus tax. I was told due to a redesign done on this area of the vehicle this is why it was so expensive. After doing more research and speaking to a few speciality shops who do many of these types of repairs daily. I found it is only about a $400 job if your dealing with an honest company. If you use this company and they give you a price for a repair. I would call other places and compare it first as they are wayyyyy over priced. The price they gave me is more than what it should cost if the axles needed to be replaced!!!! Consumer beware on this company and their pricing! If I could give negative stars that is the rating they would get!

This place is great. Not only do they treat you like an actual human being instead of a walking wallet, they genuinely care about your car too. The readout paper that they give you after oil changes, inspections or repairs is very informative in gauging the health of your vehicle. Their waiting area is very nice with free coffee & snacks, but the best part is that they give you freshly baked cookies after every visit.Definitely enroll in their car care club if you have the extra $$$. The oil changes, rotations, loaner vehicles, and car rides pay for themselves without factoring in the discounts you get on repairs.

Their prices are reasonable and I can usually get an appointment within a week which is great. I would highly recommend being a part of their club or just going there for an oil change. Im a customer for life.
First and foremost all the staff are extremely friendly and very personable.So I came in for an alignment on my car and was quoted a reasonable price. It didnt take long at all before my car was in the shop and their team was inspecting everything. Within 10 minutes a guy named David came out and greeted me and walked me back to explain what they found in the inspection process. He showed me in detail that my ball joints were going and what it looked like when Ball joints were failing. Now I already knew what it looked like when ball joints are going but for someone who doesnt know that sort of thing I can see it being very very helpful. Because most places will just come out and tell you that your ball joints need to be replaced instead of actually showing you and explaining.A lot of people tend to think of auto mechanics as them trying to get one over on people, because lets face it, some of them do. This is not the case here. I would very much recommend anyone who doesnt do auto repair themselves to come check this place out and enjoy the friendly experience this place has to offer.
The only place I will take my car for repairs or maintenance. The technicians are very thorough and knowledgeable, the repairs are done properly and in a timely fashion. In these tough financial times, Diane and Kerri go above and beyond to help me get the best service possible at the best price possible. The time and effort they put in to help is amazing ! We needed to find a place to do my rear brakes so I called yesterday after hours and left a message about getting my rear brakes done on my Jeep Patriot. Surprisingly, they called back within 15 minutes since they were still there working late! Set up an appointment for the very next morning(today) at 10am. Wow- what a nice, clean, welcoming facility with free Keurig coffee station, cooler with water bottles, clean restrooms and free WIFI. There were were a number of senior citizens waiting for their cars as well and the kindness and patience the staff/technicians had with them was impressive(yes, I eavesdropped having never been here before!). You can see the shop floor thorough the big windows/doors and it looked pretty spotless to me. Cost was exactly what I was told on the phone by Diane, no surprises or extra shop fees. I think we found our new repair shop for our vehicles. :-)

First off the staff is very friendly.That being said, I had my truck repaired there in Sep 2013, amongst some routine maintenance my blower for my heater wasnt working. I had a new baby at the time, so I didnt have spare time to replace it myself. The price they charged was $550.89, they didnt charge me labor and took off $25. They seemed as shocked as I was at the price for this blower, but they seemed honest and I took their word for it.Now fast forward to today. I just replaced that Chinese blower and the resistor myself for $68.69 in the same truck. On top of that the new blower was made in Canada, so I have a little more confidence in it.I recommend researching parts on RockAuto and YouTube the job. You would be surprised at how easy some jobs are.Ive added a photo of the receipt.
Ive been going here for about 5 years now and Diane, Brian, Casey, and all the other staff members do a great job! I usually take advantage of the loaner cars since I drive a lot during the workday and their shuttle service is a nice perk as well. Im a big fan of the Car Care Club Membership and all the discounts it provides. The Same As Cash 0% Financing Car Care One Credit Card plan that is offered thru Synchrony Bank has come in handy several times for me as my vehicle has needed more expensive repairs as it gets older.

These guys made my Christmas holiday. 2 days before I was set to drive back to PA, my alternator decided to stop charging the battery. Diane and team went out of their way to make sure I had a loaner car for my last 2 work days and were able to finish my care by the time I was done with work on the before I drove back.I wouldnt have been able to get back safely to celebrate with family without their help and cant thank them enough for taking the time to fit me in and get the car ready in time.A++ service and quality!

I recently moved here from out of state and found Automotive Specialty Services to have excellent and reliable service. I took my car in for scheduled oil change service and the took the time to examine it and found another problem that needed repair saving me future problems that could have become quite costly if it was not addressed. Their prices are fair and they have given me peace -of-mind that my car should be reliable untl my next scheduled maintenance.

When I go to the shop its like a visit to family.I like that I can get a loaner car if needed no extra charge for a loaner. I can also get a ride home and back to the shop.When I took my car for a oil change, they found something else that needed to taken care. I am very satisfied with the service I received. My tires were so bald they were spinning so bad I couldnt get on the on ramp of the highway and the roads were pretty bad, pretty scary driving on the turnpike. I have used Automotive Specialty Services for 3 different cars so far, for tune ups and various services including new tires. They have always been easy to work with. They will drive you home & pick you up when your auto is ready. Or they give you a loaner if need be. When your auto is done it is washed and cleaned. They are AAA certified and are involved in the Ohio e-check program. It has always been a pleasure dealing with them. If they find something unexpected they let you know what they think of it and of its urgency, or if you can let it be for a while. They are impressive.

Ive been a loyal customer for about 5 years. My loyalty was earned when they saved me about $1700 by sending me to the dealer for a repair that they discovered was under warranty. When I have a car care emergency, they help me right away. Several times, I walked away without owing anything for a repair. Recently, I paid a whole lot for rear calipers and felt ripped off. But, they worked hard to explain everything and earned my business back. Car repair is the least pleasurable part of owning a car, especially when the repair costs a lot. I know how important word of mouth is, and now days there are 3 repair shops in every mile. So I would to share my experience. i was very pleased. The staff are all amazing and so helpful. I stopped in by chance one day for air im my tire. they took my keys right away and checked all 4. I ended up making an appointment to have a free inspection bc I have some major issues w my vehicle. After checking out my car Dave took me in and physically showed me everything they found. He then wrote up an est ranking the repairs by importance. There were no high pressure sales. While in waiting room i heard some of the staff speaking w other customers and they to were very satisfied w the services there. waiting soon is clean and they provide. the waiting room had ipads or tv for entertainment. condiments and transportation via shuttle or loaner cars. I cant say enough about this business. Thank you!

My car had a bent rim from hitting a large pot hole. They were very friendly and instead of recommending a new rim, they were able to bend it back. This saved me time and money. Very impressed with their service and I will take my car back to them again.
Friendly and accommodating. I have just recently begun to take my car to Specialty to be fixed. I loved getting a cookie one time and popcorn the next. They call me by name and their follow-up is something I have never experienced before. Awesome people, very helpful, fast service. Recently I had an issue where my Kia Sportage lost all its oil, after just having it replaced last week at another place. I called these guys up, they recommended not driving it since it was so low on oil and they offered a tow. They called me not long after receiving the vehicle to let me know it was a failed oil pressure switch and that Kia should cover it under warranty. After calling Kia to find out it was completely on me to get the car to them, I called back Automotive Specialty and they offered to have the vehicle towed to Kia. To be clear, they did both tows at their own expense and havent made a dime off of me. They are great, honest people, the kind that are hard to find when other companies will nickel and dime you to get your broken car fixed. I will definitely be taking my cars there in the future. I took my Ford Explorer to Automotive Specialty Services in Avon Ohio yesterday. I was having problems with a window stuck in the down position on a rainy day. They looked at the car immediately and had it repaired in just a few hours. I cant say enough about how great their service is. They did a good job with my oil change. However, the salesman was pushing me hard to pay to have my air filters changed. The engine filter alone costs $69 to change, which is incredibly overpriced based on my research. When I said no to him, he resorted to using scare tactics, even asking if I had small children (alluding that, if I had children and did not change my air filter, Id be a bad mother). I will not be going back... not one for the hard sells.
This is the best place to get your car worked on! I left here feeling like I got a deal instead of screwed (as I do going into most shops)! I cringe getting my car worked on, except when I came here! This is my first experience and I will be back 100%! Highly recommend! And even left with two cookies :)

I have never had a bad experience here unlike other mechanic shops. They wash your car after every service you have done and also provide a complimentary ride to and from your work so you arent stuck waiting at the shop or have to use a friend. Everyone is very professional and the shop is exceptionally clean.
We have an older car and we needed brakes and other repairs. We are completely satisfied and very happy with the service. The service personnel took the time to explain and even showed us the issues. There service personnel are very nice and the folks at the front desk always have a smile.
I have used this place for about 10 years. I find them honest and very helpful. They encouraged me to contact the manufacturer because my car just reached the end of my warranty. They explain why the repair needs to be done.They also run “specials” throughout the year.
My go-to place for repairs. Diane at the front runs it shipshape, & the guys explain (with diagrams) what is wrong. Free loaner car so you are not marooned there; but I usually wait & watch tv. Found them to be honest as well as accurate. They also seem to be active in the area, as many thank you notes are posted on the board, if this is a component that matters to you. Prices are reasonable, & they usually scare up a special or two to ease the wallet pain.
Have had mixed reviews with this place. I recently got a coupon for a free/lube/oil filter and vehicle inspection, so I figured Id give them another chance and dropped off our 05 Ford minivan. It had several problems which I was aware of through our normal mechanic. Automotive Specialty got the oil change done in a timely fashion, and provided an accurate assessment of the additional maintenance needed at a reasonable estimated cost.I had the work they quoted done by my regular mechanic, because Im stilll a bit gun-shy about Automotive Specialty from a prior bad experience.I last dealt with them about six or seven years ago, approximately. I had taken them a 97 VW Jetta that would die as soon as the underbody would get wet. Go through a car wash? Drive through a big puddle? The engine instantly quit. I have family who raved about Automotive Specialty, so naturally I took it to them specifically to diagnose and resolve that issue.I spoke with the technician doing the work on the car, and he insisted that he could not replicate the problem no matter what he tried. I asked him if he simply ran the car through a car wash with an undercarriage spray wash, and he evaded the question. He suggested that he knew what the only thing was that could cause that problem and I trusted him at his word.A bill for a cap and rotor and about $1000 later I drove the car out of the lot straight to the car wash down the street. The engine quit as soon as the wash started. I took the car back. I got an assurance from them that they could not replicate the problem in the shop, a new quote for another approx $500 for (if memory serves me correctly) a set of wires. And (memory definitely serves me correctly here) a very poor attitude from the tech when I suggested that after he made the second set of repairs, simply drive the car through the corner car wash to confirm the problem was resolved. After picking up the car from this second stint I, of course, drove it through the car wash. Car - you guessed it - dies immediately.So the tech at Automotive Specialty wants me to bring car back, and charge me more money to start tearing the car apart to diagnose the problem. He is insitent that no one there could not replicate the stalling problem, and they never saw any value in trying to, as they were fixing the only things that could cause what I was experiencing. He could never provide a satisfactory answer to my question as to why I still had the problem occurring if they had fixed it. Nor was any attempt made at the time to acknowledge my frustration that the money I kept shelling out was going towards repairs that never relieved my cars specific problem.So I found my current guy. Upon his inspection he seemed shocked to learn that I had just a matter of weeks prior had the cap/rotor assembly and related wires changed out, because to him they appeared to be in the condition he would expect of the original parts. He took the time to show me what he was seeing, and the condition of the parts he pulled out, that I was told had been replaced, was quite poor, to say the least. So I paid a second time to replace the cap and rotor assembly + related wires. I never had the problem reoccur for as long as I owned the car.To be fair, I was so fed up with the situation that I never pursued it with Automotive Specialty. The family member who recommended them still loves them, has had significant repair work done by them, and has never had any experiences similar to mine. Others speak well of them also.So it seems like my issue a few years ago was hopefully a fluke. (Albeit one of considerable frustration and expense) As for now, Ill continue to get my oil changed there, and get second opinions on any work they quote me. If they continue to be on the nose with their estimates, I may give them another shot to do more significant work.

More importantly, I was given a detailed explanation for how the oil change business works, and how an aftermarket shop like Automotive Specialty Services is forced to contend with various OE prices and market forces. This kind of follow-up and attention to customer service is rare anymore, and was much appreciated. Thank you!$100 for an oil change and tire rotation! Thats more than itd cost at the dealership, which is where Ill go next time. Really disappointing after I was quoted substantially less than that over the phone.
Went to Automotive Specialty Services a week ago. Took my truck in for repair. Staff was very friendly and explained repairs well. Price was fair and felt very confident with the mechanics there. Will go back again..
Nothing was leaking ( no drops or stains on my driveway). I brought my car in to look into a separate issue. When they got it on the lift, it started leaking power steering. I was then put into awkward situation.. Try to drive it somewhere else, or pay $1400 to have it fixed. I made a panic decision and got it fixed here. Waaaaaay over charged on parts and labor. They sent a review card in the mail... Not worth the stamp to send it back
Consistently incredible service (customer and automotive) from beginning to end, as usual... I brought in my 2010 VW Passat at 10am Monday to fix a misfire and get an inspection on the brakes--drove it away later the same day with an engine that felt fully restored, and with the confidence that my brakes were already in good shape.On top of that, there was an ample supply of bottled water while I did some work via their complimentary WiFi, and I was promptly alerted when the free loaner vehicle became available. Couldnt really ask for more than that...Thanks again!Tim

They are crooked liars. They are always more expensive then other companies and act like there giving you a discount but just raise there price. Since I did not let them perform the service they recommended they purposely broke a piece of my new radiator that was just replaced a month prior. Nobody else looked at the vehicle so I know they did it. Dont trust your vehicle with them!!!!!
Let me first start by saying they are very friendly and polite.Having said that - if you want to pay at least double for your car to be fixed and you like their free cookie then get your vehicles worked on at Automotive Specialty.If you like to save money. Go to Dunkin Donuts and by a coffee and donut. Then use your cellphone and call a few other places.Get a second estimate and you will save hundreds. The service manager must make a commission on all services.You pay top dollar for the free cookie at the end.

My car broke down i called asked about a tow truck they had one sent very very fast and thoroughly checked my vehicle and it was fixed the very next day loved the service everyone showed me there and will definitely come back if when needed ty to everyone there
I left a message 20 days ago for the owner to call me because they tried to charge me for an unnecessary tow, never fixed the AC they were supposed to and a hole bunch of other stuff including inappropriate text messages from the receptionist. And here 20 days later (just shy of 3 weeks) no call back and no resolution. I even messaged him. Nothing. Very disappointed

Today was my first time and last going to this repair shop. The final cost was astronomical. If money isnt too much of a factor for you then I will say, yes, they are friendly, clean and you get a free cookie and refreshments.
I will never go anywhere else for car services. I have always taken my brand new cars to Automotive Specialty to be serviced for oil changes/tire rotations.Great customer service, very nice facility
They have super friendly staff and I have always been able to get appointments on short notice. I wish they were open on weekends but they make up for that by providing me a ride to and from work. They have also given me cookies as a thank you and they were delicious.
Great customer service and did exactly what they said they were going to do! Kept you informed during the whole process. Plus there is cookies and they were so sweet to our puppy:)

Very friendly customer service people, but the service charges are little bit on the higher side. The quote I received to replace the brakes are much higher than another nearby service center.

2022-07-11Diane and her entire team are spectacular! The most honest and fair auto repair business I’ve used. Each time I needed help, they are there! Easy, fair and extremely helpful! I had to share my last visit. We just purchased a new van for the family… only has 3000 miles on it. I had a very noticeable issue with the front wheel… the vehicle was basically “undrivable”. After calling the dealership I purchased it from that was no help and unable to help for a week. I called two other Toyota dealers with the same result “we’re too busy” . My last resort was to call Diane in hopes they would help, KNOWING they most likely wouldn’t/can’t deal with manufactures warranty. Without hesitation they said “don’t worry about it”… let us take a look. Within 15 minutes of the call, the van was on the lift and they realized the front right tire WAS NOT installed correctly on the vehicle and could have detached at any moment. They were more concerned with our families safety then “generating an invoice”. What was going to cost me a week with no vehicle at the dealership, only cost me 30 minutes of time and they refused to charge me. The piece of mind you get from them is priceless.Needless to say, I HIGHLY recommend them for any auto services needed.Thank you for keeping my family safe!

Starting with he super clean waiting room, to the rental cars and complimentary car wash. For the first time in my life I left feeling good about the repair, myself and work. 2021-11-09Went to Automotive Specialty Services today for an oil change. I was very impressed with them from the start. Finally a auto service company that understands the meaning of customer service. The staff was as nice on the phone as they were in person. The shop waiting area was clean and welcoming. My vehicle was taken in right away to start the work. Shortly after, Casey came out and walked me back to the shop bays to show me some things that they found. I did not feel pressured at all to pay for additional repairs. I felt that they really cared about their customers and wanted to make sure I was educated on the issues. I will definitely use them again in the near future. I also enjoyed the cookie they provided as a thank you at check out; it was a nice touch.

2022-05-21I thought long and hard about this review. It’s not a knee jerk reaction. I took my car there because of an oil leak, and other check engine light warning signs. I explained thoroughly what was happening. However, I very much got the sense there was more interest in selling flushes etc than there was actually listening. Well I went ahead and got my car repaired. For $1800. Only for them to not even change the oil. Went back for an oil change and as soon as that was done the lights were flashing again. Towed back to them again. Only to be told the next day the engine needed replaced. So perhaps fine for oil changes, brakes and the basic wear and tear items. But I highly question their diagnostic skills or listening skills. Lesson learned for me, albeit very expensive.

2022-02-09As soon as my vehicles warranty expired, the check engine light appeared... Literally as we were trying to sell it! The dealer (where we were purchasing my new vehicle) tried to say that we didnt change the oil and that it needed a new engine (its 3 years old with 28k miles)?! After their suggested $200 oil change didnt fix the problem we took it to Automotive Specialty Services. They diagnosed a faulty oil control solenoid and oil temp sensor (the car already had other sensor recalls). Thanks to them, we got top dollar for my car!

2021-10-08I was visiting the area and had my oil pressure light come on. Turns out my oil pressure switch had failed, and the leaking had caused further damage to the system. My girlfriend and I were worried that we may miss a wedding that she was to be a bridesmaid in. We let the team at Automotive Specialty Services know that we had a time restraint and they went above and beyond to make sure we got everything fixed in time for our departure. They kept me in the loop the whole time, expedited the parts shipping, and even picked the part up from the dealer instead of waiting for them to deliver it at the end of the day. They definitely care about their customers here. Would recommend this shop to anyone.

2021-08-25Replaced my neutral safety switch/range sensor which a lot of shops wouldnt touch. Only billed me for a half hour...most shops will bill you automatically for a hour even if they only have your vehicle for 20 minutes. I respect that honesty. They also gave me the lowest quote of all the shops I called. Also got a $25 off coupon off my next service. They have a great program you can purchase like 8 oil changes. I will be back again.
