I found Used Auto Truck and fleet service on Google looking for a car mechanic. The stellar reviews lead me to his shop. The first time I met Dan I needed a written estimate. He didnt charge me as other shops had wanted. He told me what the issue was. How quickly he could fix it. Both answers included a fair price and work done quickly. Today I went back for a second time. Couldnt be happier with the service. Wont only recommend them here but to family and friends.
My daughter’s car would not start and I live across the state. We tried this place in the hopes to get her car back going. They ordered the part based on my daughter’s description of the problem before the car was towed to the shop. Verified the problem and had it fixed within the hour. Fair price with quick service.
The most honest shop that I have come across. I brought my car in for a second opinion on a part replacement. Another shop had quoted me $700 for the job. Within an hour fleet had cleaned the part and charged me nothing for the service. I am very appreciative and will be bringing my future business to this shop.
When my partner and I moved to Lakewood we did not have a mechanic. We searched around and got the usual creepy and untrustworthy mechanics you would expect to find at a Monroe Auto. Just after we moved into our apartment building, these guys opened shop right next door to us. We gave these guys a chance and boy was I pleasantly surprised! They have very fair pricing and are VERY good at what they do. We own a used car and it has about one majorish fix a year. They usually have it figured out in no time, and done within the day. Today it broke down on the way to my partners work in Akron. They had it fixed within the day, before his shift would have ended, actually. These are the best, most trustworthy, and pleasant mechanics I have encountered in my entire life (well, besides my father). When we move to Akron this coming fall, we have already decided we will be taking the car here for work. They are just that great. Thank you for 2 plus years of amazing service!
So this week, I was driving down I90 when I heard POP, and then a weird sweeping / grinding noise. Limped off the highway and called my regular mechanic and a tow truck. I was horrified to find my regular guy was out of town- for 3 weeks! When I asked him for a recommendation, he told me that these folks were very trustworthy. So, in I went.My regular guy had warned me about my U-joints and we pretty much figured they had finally given in. I let the folks at Auto Truck and Fleet know I needed U-joints, and to just let me know how much it would be.Imagine my shock when they called to tell me it was simply a loose heat-shield and they had already fixed it.I was prepared to pay for U-joints. I TOLD them to fix my U-joints. But instead of soaking me for hundreds of dollars (which I wouldnt have questioned), they fixed the problem for nothing.Im so thrilled to give these folks 5 stars and I hope everyone considers patronizing this shop. They are good people.
I am so happy to have found Dan and Derrick, they take excellent care of my car and give me such peace of mind, knowing that I trust them completely with my car. They always fix it very timely and never overcharge me. Thank you for being my mechanics!! You are the best
I brought my car here for new tires after receiving multiple recommendations and I was not let down. Their turnaround was quick! My car had also been making a strange noise, but Derek checked it a few times and didnt find anything. The noise seems to have been related to the old tires and I was so thankful for his honesty!
The guys at this shop are very kind and straight forward. I took my Ford Explorer in for repairs last fall, I had to spend a whopping $1700 to get a small plastic bit in the back of my engine replaced. As many people would feel, I felt that this was terrible luck, but I decided to have the work done anyway. after about a week I get my car back and it sounds good and back to normal. Unfortunately about a day later I started to notice a very obnoxious sound coming from my engine. I thought that the guys at the shop must have missed something or something in my engine was slipping. So I take my Ford Explorer in and let them know whats going on. The owner Dan then confirms the noise but isnt sure if theres anything he can do to help... He then tells me that he would try and find me a replacement part for the issue and see what he can do to solve this problem and that I should patiently wait. A few weeks go by and the problem hasnt gone away. I then call in to see if the offer would still be honored. They again tell me they would get back to me. I slightly give up hope that they would even consider helping me even though I felt I had been slightly neglected. About two months after that my car kicks the bucket. Not knowing what else to do I have my Ford towed back to the shop that I felt created the problem in the 1st place. Dan the owner was quick to understand my problem and understandably is a very busy man. He out of the kindness of his heart decided to replace my engine for free of charge in order to make right my unsatisfactory experience. In him doing this he really helped me get my life back on track cause I heavily rely on having a vehicle in my feild of work. I really can not thank the guys at AUTO Truck and Fleet enough for being so awesome and really taking pride and value in their work and all of their customers no matter the BS they may have to deal with. I can say I would recommend this place to anyone who likes a great Mechanic that really takes pride and care in their work. thanks again fellas! 5 stars.
If you are going to any other mechanic on the west side then you are making a mistake. I do not know much about cars but every time I have gone here for issues large or small they have been incredibly helpful, straightforward, and honest. When I bring my car to this shop I do not have to worry about any nonsense that can usually come with going to a mechanic. Anyone who lives within a 25 mile radius of their shop should use their services.
Ok....I You Tubed all the work these guys did...And Researched everything they told me about my brakes.....I saved about $200. Plus. Dollars...But mainly it was done right....Solid Guys....If there Ghosts flying around these guys would make a great modern day Ghost Busters....Thanks Guys...And my steering is better...I only came in for brakes...
This place is awesome. My girlfriend and I take our cars here all the time. Whenever I call them up they tell me to bring my car down same day. They are quick at finding what is wrong with it and getting it fixed (always get our cars back same day), to my knowledge they have always been honest, and they are reasonably priced. The people that work there are always friendly too.I recently had my motor mount replaced by a guy that runs a shop out of his garage because it was cheap. I was still having the vibration noises in the front of my car so I took it here. About an hour after dropping it off they called to tell me that the person had put an aftermarket motor mount on it that doesnt fit it at all. They replaced it with an OEM motor mount and it runs smooth now! Lesson learned: saving a few bucks to have someone fix your car in their garage will only cost more in the long run.
Technicians were nice, but host was very uninviting. My husband came in at 1pm on a a Tuesday and was given an appointment time, for following day. I cant say they arent experts but like I said, the host didnt even speak to me. Great work was done but I didnt feel welcome.
HONEST AUTO REPAIR IN NORTHEAST OHIO!Unbelievable experience. This place was recommended to me by a friend who owns a Ford dealership. I needed to get a timing belt replaced on a 2009 Acura TL that was pushing 220,000 miles. I was quoted a reasonable price and the car was ready when promised. Overall, a very good experience. But that was only the beginning.Three months later, the car stops running while in Toledo. Had AAA tow it to a local repair shop. Mechanic in Toledo says the timing belt broke. I call Dan at Auto, Truck & Fleet who reviews the work done back in January and assumes something must have seized in the engine to cause the belt to break, but agrees to send a trailer to Toledo to bring the car back on his dime so he can look at it.After they pull things apart, the seized pully was never found. Everything was in order. At this point, Dan could have told me a chipmunk climbed into the engine and caused the belt to break, but he tells me the truth. No rhyme or reason to the failure. No unusual signs of wear on the pulleys. Only explanation is a defective belt.In the meantime, we dont know if the broken belt did any damage to the engine. So he puts a new belt on, gets the car running, but not running well. One cylinder doesnt fire at all and 2 others are missing. The 230,000 mile engine needs a valve job. May be more cost effective to replace the engine.Dan calls his supplier and makes a case that their defective belt caused this problem and they should be responsible for the repair. After a couple of days of corporate red tape and a bureaucracy as thick as used motor oil, he gives up on waiting for their decision and arranges for a new engine to be delivered from North Carolina. He tells me one way or another, you are getting a new engine and if the supplier doesnt pay for it, he will. You came to me to prevent this from happening, you shouldnt have to pay for another repair. There was nothing you did that caused this to happen.A week later my TL is back on the road and running better than ever, with a motor that has half the miles on it as the original. He is still fighting with the supplier over the cost of the repair, but It didnt cost me a penny. As a result, Dan will be getting all of my business in the future.I just took my Infiniti Q70 in for new brakes, an oil change, and four new tires. I have never been so happy to drop $1600 on preventive maintenance than I was today! Honesty like this not only gets you a customer for life, but Im telling anyone that will listen this story. Truly, a pleasure to do business with Auto, Truck & Fleet.
Auto Truck and Fleet Services has always provided me with quick (but quality!) service, honest estimates of work needed, and more than fair pricing. They go above and beyond to show their customers that they are appreciated. I fully recommend Auto Truck and Fleet Services to anyone- A+!
I used to like this place until I was charged too much for service. I asked ( the heavy set guy with the beard, why so much). I asked very nicely and quietly, he said it costs what it costs. He said this in a rude and sarcastic way. I am paying you for service, there are hundreds of other places I can go to and I now will. Even my family says they are overcharging people now. They used to be honest but now I dont think they are. You should not have to be reprimanded or talked down too because you ask about the service done, very unprofessional. At least stick the heavy set guy with the beard in the back, he will drive away business. Its one thing to over charge some one but to not explain it and be rude about it, that is the ultimate insult
I had recently taken my Suzuki Samurai to a competitor of Lakewood Auto Truck and Fleet. As a matter of fact right down the road on Madison. Not only did they mis-diagnose the issue, they made me think that I would have to scrap my beloved off-roading Sammi. This other shop even turned me away…charged me 70 bucks for diagnosis and said we cant do it. I later got my money back…anyway...I took it to Lakewood Auto Truck and Fleet. Those guys are good honest mechanics. They appreciate the business and I really feel that they are a rare breed. It is incredibly hard to find such a shop now a days. They did not have a NO in there vocabulary. They fixed it. They charged me fairly.Im buying them donuts…love these guys!Mike

2021-12-22For the most part it is a awesome company all my mechanical work gets done pretty smoothly and they are always nice and professional most of the time , the only reason I rated 4 stars instead of 5 stars is every time they do have my car I never get any updates on what’s going on I always have to reach out myself and ask questions . Their “receptionist” has her days some days she is nice and other days she is very rude she does not even let you get your concern out and throws down your throat all the delays in the world going on which I am well aware of because I work for a company that has to wait months to get any pieces in BUT instead of catching a attitude when asked how long or what’s the current process maybe just explain what’s actually going on . In the past they had my car for atleast 30 days and I had to contact them for updates luckily I did because I ended up finding out I was going to be without a vehicle for who knows how long, I can say the owner Dan is an awesome guy though very nice !!

2021-11-14I just took my car in due to a noise it was making, unfortunately they couldnt replicate the noise, but were able to find a couple of small issues that may be causing it. They didnt charge me, and so far so good in terms of not hearing the noise yet after driving it around for a few days.Would definitely recommend as your go to mechanics, I know Ill be going back!
