I wish I could say this restaurant provided a wonderful experience celebrating my graduation and my brothers birthday but I will never know. The restaurant canceled my dinner reservation for 8 people less than 4 hours before I was expected to arrive. I understand Covid and staffing has been an issue, but to cancel the day of was very disappointing and unprofessional. If staffing has been an issue at this establishment the restaurant was already aware and should have provided adequate notice or made arrangements to accommodate customers. I wasn’t even able to make alternate dinner arrangements due to lack of notice. I will not try to patronize this business again.
Fantastic food, only two chefs in the kitchen putting in crazy work with crazy good ingredients from local farmers. Favourite soot in chagrin falls! These were the staff meals and a few of the walleye and rissoto! Exceeded expectations by a long shot!
This was our first pandemic meal out since we headed up to Cleveland for a vacation and Id stumbled into it looking for something different than the normal high end chain restaurants near our hotel. My fiancee and I were delighted to find one of the best dining experiences wed had in years with wonderful food and atmosphere. While we wont likely return until the pandemic is over if it ever truly ends, Im grateful we got to experience this meal out.

Where is the best restaurant in Chagrin? Aurelias Restaurant in Chagrin Falls has the most attentive staff and service. I love the way the setting was designed, very beautiful and relaxing. Impeccable menu. Delicious food.Tiana was our server and she takes great pride in making certain that the experience is absolutely amazing
We had our anniversary diner at their patio. Food was delicious. Chiken was tender and organic wild rice was very flavorful. Hubby ordered tacos. I tasted some and it was pretty good. Finished up with peach icecream. Nice evening. Service was very prompt and professional. Little bit on the pricey side though.
Excellent little place. I loved the staff, very friendly. Decor was clean , modern and welcoming. The food menu is rather limited, so if you are a picky eater I would hesitate. but the brunch egg sandwich was delicious. I will definitely be returning
Our waiter was awkward with it, and seemed disappointed when we did not order alcohol even tho we are under 21. The food was extra salty which i assume is to compliment the wine, but, nonetheless, it was over-seasoned, while my sauce on my scallops was under-seasoned and bland! I liked the decor and vibe, but the chefs were not talented, cooking from a limited menu. This is a fancy bar with food that will dehydrate you more than the alcohol.

A true gem. This is something that Chagrin Falls really needed. I went the other night and it is safe to say that this is some of the best food I have tasted in my life (and I have traveled to many great restaurants all over the world). The quality of the food is outstanding, and the staff is so accommodating and welcoming. The hospitality is lovely. This restaurant feels like home, I will be coming back weekly to continue to try the new recipes the chef has up his sleeve. Very excited about the changing menu concept based on fresh local finds, as this is how I most enjoy eating. I would give this place 6 stars if I could. You can tell the hard work that was put into this place, and the owners could not be more sweet (they were making rounds to the tables all night long). Great food, great people. No complaints whatsoever.
Unfortunately my boyfriend and I chose to go to a nice restaurant for anniversary dinner. Google and personal recommendations told us this was fine dining. It’s really more of a dinner cafe with tight tables and just about 8 dinner choices; of which was spaghetti and meatballs that they ran out of at 7pm on a Friday. We were fantastically underwhelmed and disappointed. Though the staff was kind, the vibe was not.
First time going and we highly recommend. Amazing food. They have clear dividers between tables which look really classy and is great for social distancing. We ordered the brussel sprouts appetizer which was fantastic. The duck was spectacular and the mango cheesecake was delicious for dessert. We will be going back for sure.

Absolutely amazing place to eat. I cant imagine anyone going here and not likeing the food or theor drink. We went for brunch and are meal did not disappoint! We got mimosas with our meal and they were the best mimosas ever! The cherries in the bottom were great! We also got hamburgers and the flavor YUM! I grew up on a beef cattle farm only knowing what grass-fed beef tasted like. I now live in a suburban area and rarely get grass-fed beef you can really taste the difference! Farm to table is the best. Quality here wont disappoint!
Incredible new restaurant in Chagrin Falls! The environment is truly one of a kind, and the decor is very stylish. There is also a good, personable staff that will make you feel at home. I also love the idea of a changing menu that revolves around what Chef James can get fresh from local farms! Chef James meals are truly works of art. If you are searching for a terrific restaurant with breathtaking flavor, Aurelia is the place for you!
Now that the reviews are over on google, I want to post another one. The food here is just plain delicious! When I was there I got to try some of the brisket and chicken which was fabulous! I also had some of the best mac and cheese Ive ever had! The Walleye (I think thats what theyre called, the fish one) cakes were FABULOUS!!! Everything I ate there was absolutely delicious! I wish I lived closer and I hope I find myself in Chagrin falls again soon because the food is just great! The staff and the owner are very friendly and seem to genuinely care about your experience! 10/10 would recommend!
The best brisket dish I have ever had. I complimented the chef and he complimented the cow. Thats the kind of place this is. If you want top quality fresh food crafted in a thoughtful way this is a great choice.
Great food and great service. Had the steak sandwich during brunch along with the soup of the day which was a squash soup and it did not disappoint. Great portions and the French press coffee was fantastic. Would highly recommend if you are in Chagrin Falls looking for some modern American and other various dishes.

My wife and I had our rehearsal dinner here, both the service and food were excellent. The brisket was the best I have ever had. I was surprised to learn that the BBQ and mustard sauces were made in house, they were delicious. Thank you so much to the team at Aurelia for making it a dinner I will never forget!
Aurelia is our new favorite restaurant! When you walk in youll notice a clean, well designed space filled with a mixture of white + wood and shiny materials. There is a variety of seating between booths, 2-4 tops, and the bar. They can easily accommodate a larger group if needed too. The food was AMAZING!! Chef James has a true talent of taking local + seasonal food items and creating delicious options. We started our meal with sharing a brussel sprout appetizer- We loved it! My husband ordered the char siu pork belly with fried rice; he finished every bite! I ordered the beef pot roast dish with mac & cheese plus snow peas- it was so good! I also finished every bite. The food was very fresh + flavorable. Portions are the perfect size too, and the pricing is reasonable. Our waitress was Cheryll- She was lovely and her service was on point! Chef James personally delivered our entrees. We finished our meal later in the evening so we opted not to order dessert yet the menu options for that day were quite tempting- blueberry apple pie, cheesecake, or chocolate ganache. On the way out we walked past the bartender, Mick, and he thanked us for coming in to dine. Very personable! We complimented him on making our drinks just right- sezerac and compass rose. Our dining experience at Aurelia was everything we had hoped for and more- Were excited to go back again soon!!!
I always enjoy Aurelia, although I can never remember how to say it. In the crowded restaurant scene in the village, it stands out for great food with authentic ingredients. The cuts of meat, both beef and pork, are always perfect and prepared expertly. The staff is incredibly friendly as they really have a family feel.Although not the most crowded Chagrin Falls establishment, it is one of the best.
I really nice and quiet place for lunch. It had a very limited menu but it was quite sufficient with choices for all no matter whether you prefer meat, seafood, or vegetarian. The French press coffee was a nice surprise and outstanding. So was the service!
Aurelias menu is limited but offers something for everyone. The chefs attention to flavor and plating is top notch. I enjoyed the scallops served on a bed of corn risotto and my husband enjoyed the flat bread. Both meals were flavorful. The service was attentive and the serving pace was just right making Aurelias a perfect night out.
Aurelia has been open for only 2 weeks and its already difficult to get in. The menu is very limited, which means the quality is very high. Our fish dishes were cooked to perfection. The specialty drinks are made to order with fresh ingredients. Since the menu changes daily, Chagrin Falls now has an affordable place for locals to visit a few nights a week. This will now be my go-to restaurant!
Came for our 25th anniversary and was greeted with a smile and sat right away! Food was wonderful had the flat bread for an app and entrees were chicken, and rib eye for the hubby. French press coffee is just the ticket after dinner. Will definitely return!!! Best food Ive had in a long time.
Kitchen has a rotating menu based on available ingredients and the version I had was great! Cocktail list is good too. Inside is a bit loud for conversation but manageable - - depends on dinner mates. Very nice interior too
Very diapointing meal at Aurelia’s tonight. I informed wait staff 3 times re: food allergies and was assured food was dairy free. Food came out with dairy. After checking with chef again, waitress said the dish indeed had some dairy. Be advised, do not eat here if you have food allergies. The restaurant is unwilling to accommodate food allergies or preferences.
Been there twice and I really don’t understand why this place has good reviews unless it’s all just family and friends leaving feedback. Let’s be honest this is your typical pretentious Chagrin Falls restaurant that probably won’t last long. Food was bland and overpriced, who cares if your in Chagrin Falls, if Grove Hill couldn’t survive I really don’t see how this place could. When there is so many better options in the area I have to say I won’t be back, and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. Small pricey menu that just doesn’t meet expectations. I went back the second time just thinking maybe they didn’t have it together because they just opened but it still was a disappointment... I guess if I had to leave one positive mention I’d say my cocktail was very tasty.

Pricing at Aurelia is slightly below other Chagrin restaurants, except YT and Bell & Flower (theyre not the same quality menu as Aurelia, but good). The now closed Grove Hill food quality had deteriorated in the last year WELL below other Chagrin restaurants, and cannot be compared to Aurelia. Read Erics review on one restaurant that STARTS w gorgeous hostess. Really, for a restaurant review? Why does the hostess appearance matter to your food? I lost all respect for your opinion with that comment. Note to Eric your in CF should be youre in CF in your review.
Love this place! Delicious food! Prompt service!! Great atmosphere and friendly staff!! Loved having Chef and owner come and take with us!! My son loved the french toast for brunch so much he ordered a second one!

Visited here for a beer dinner with Great Lakes Brewery for the first time. I was really impressed with the food, staff, and ownership. Friendly and approachable. Food was outstanding and perfectly paired with each beer. Really an enjoyable evening and Ill be sure to return.

Ok food, terrible portions. Were going out to eat when we leave. Dinner after we left was wonderful. All in all I ordered a salad (only 1 choice), it arrived in a dessert bowl not a salad bowl. My main course was a meat & cheese plate for TWO. For TWO was an understatement. TWO what? Obviously not people. There was 1oz or less of shaved boar & 1oz or less of a salami. The 1st cheese was sml rectangles of a soft white cheese (4 or 5 slices), next sml cubes of parmesan cheese (8 or 10 cubes). Nothing tastes worse then cubed cheese that is normally served shredded. There were other sml servings of pickled items. The only item that was for TWO people were the crackers (about 10). My dinner group gobbled them up. Remember, no bread. The menu is also a secret until you show up. 2 people, 1 wine $13, 2 soft drinks $2.50 or .95. Total bill was over $74 before tip. I dont think thats very honest food.
We ate here the other night and the food was absolutely delicious. The concept of serving what is local and fresh rather than having a fixed menu is brilliant. I expect great things from this place!

Issue #1it had a very bad odor throughout the restaurant that made me feel sickissue #2when i walked in, the chef was wearing a maskissue #3they didn’t take our temperature after telling us to wait for them to do soissue #4when i looked over to the kitchen area, i noticed the chef not wearing a hair net or mask while cooking, and at one point he even wiped the sweat off of his forehead with his bare hand and than went back to preparing our food.

2022-05-01Tasty and healthy food. Excellent wait staff. 2 top seating is very tight. We asked to sit a seat over from the only table in the restaurant and were told no. The table next to us left because the host refused to give spacing in between tables when many tables were available (more than half the restaurant was open). I completely understand reservations but better planning would allow for alternate seating upon opening.

2022-01-15This beautiful restaurant has quickly become a favorite. My partner and I have been twice and both times have provided us with exceptional service, libations, and a culinary experience that can only be described as art. Not only has the food been phenomenally delicious, the portions have been able to satisfy, which is a rarity in a fine dining atmosphere. Food arrives quickly and disappears as fast. The love and attention to detail and staff diligence to ensuring a beautiful experience is remarkable and something that will not be soon forgotten. 10/10, would recommend. Very grateful for this gem to be just around the corner.

Every time I have dined at Aurelia with my partner it has set the bar higher for all the other restaurants I have reviewed.The atmosphere is cozy and accommodating, with professional, smart, familial and warm service, and the food arrives surprisingly quickly.But its the food that sets it galaxies apart from any other restaurant i have ever dined in. The quality of the ingredients and their source, the artistry of their composition, and the palpable love that is put into every dish is unmatched.Bravo

2022-03-28Dinner at Aurelia on Saturday was fun and delicious as always. I post today, at lunch, after eating my dinner partners left over Mahi-Mahi. Saturday, my scallops on a bed of rice with duck was delicious!The Mahi-Mahi was a step above delicious. Even, reheated at work, in the microwave, the fish is moist and flakey, the couscous over spinach served alongside was in the sauce with the fish. The buttery, lemony taste was superb! Thank you James Balchak, for a good time and a great meal.

2018-07-08Outstanding food, incredible service! This place is truly special. Chef James and the rest of the staff are amazing and made me feel at home. I truly have not tried one item that wasn’t excellent. The fresh, original cocktails and extensive wine list is the cherry on top of the incredible cuisine! The sangria is to die for, and uses a ton of fresh fruit as the sweetness so it’s not too sugary. I also love the Oolong Sweet Tea cocktail that has fresh brewed tea, homemade lemonade, and Tito’s. Last night I had the Lake Erie Walleye cakes and the salmon salad with strawberries, both incredible. The freshness of the ingredients really shines through; I don’t think I have ever had sweeter strawberries in my life! The berries on the salad were balanced so nicely with the thick, perfectly seared salmon and creamy, delicious goat cheese atop a bed of tender, flavorful local lettuce- Yum!! And the walleye cakes were crisp on the outside, and super flavorful and well seasoned. I loved the house made remoulade on top! I also tried my friend’s chicken fricasse with Ohio raised chicken and local mushroom gravy; it was so incredibly juicy and the sauce was outrageous!!! So well seasoned! The ever changing menu makes me want to try everything before it goes away, and makes me so excited to come back the next week for the freshest ingredients Chef James has found at the local farms! So happy to have a locally sourced restaurant in Chagrin! Also excited to finally have a Sunday brunch spot in downtown Chagrin Falls😊 definitely feels upscale with the atmosphere and the food, while also being reasonably priced and casual

2022-04-24Disappointed! The tables were so close together it was uncomfortable. The girl at the next table took a hair off her sweater and attempting to drop on the floor it ended up on our table. My fish had bones in it and the skin was on. Lazy move on the chef. One waitress in the whole place. She did an amazing job!!

2019-03-10Popped in for brunch. Ordered the Brisket Hash. Had a nice combination of egg ,potatoes, and meat. So savory. Coffee is great, you can tell they care about the coffee they serve.. I found a new brunch spot.Service is attentive and friendly.

2018-07-21Loved the food and the staff. We were seated quickly, and the simple menu resulted in a wonderful meal. I had the salmon salad (pictured) and my wife the chicken. Im a salmon aficionado and declare this the best salmon around. Outstanding.

2021-11-30AMAZING!! If I could give 100 stars I would in an instant! Amazing cocktails, appetizers, and meals. We were very impressed. Attentive staff and perfect service. The owner, James came over and we spoke with him for a little while. What a wonderful person and passion for what he loves. My favorite restaurant, hands down. Will be back very very soon.
