My husband was at Aulman a year ago, before there was a vaccine for Covid 19. He had Covid and spent 47 days on a ventilator and 80 days at Aultman facilities from the MICU, to LTAC to Woodlawn. Dr. Boutros and his amazing team in the MICU provided the most compassionate and excellent care. After he was finally released to go home we have continued with care from the many gifted doctors from Aultman and he is making a full recovery thanks to them. Today, I am at here again with my sister who is having hernia surgery. The wonderful care continues! Every person is kind, friendly and compassionate even during these difficult times. The surgery staff is wonderful and when I visited the Shoppes to buy some flowers, the sweet florist helped me pick out a beautiful arrangement and I even found a few Christmas gifts. We are so blessed to have this hospital in our community and I am thankful for all those working there!❤️

I just spent 6 days here and was highly impressed with the whole staff. Every nurse was so kind and attentive, as were the doctors. I never felt ignored or dismissed and felt like all my concerns were addressed. Even the after care has been amazing. I have had at least 2 people check in on me so far, even the very busy doctors. When you are going through something scary, it certainly helps to have a good team behind you. Thank you !

Disrespectful for the deaf.Have not written up the boardNurse name, doctor name, dates, labs, x ray, ultrasound and CT scan, notes, pain rating -fall risk - hearing impaired and many more on the wall.I called the nurse and no one come and nurse finally came and told them my issues and she said she will get it for me and she focus on the man nurse out there. Why leave the patient out when come to patient seriously need them? They need to write on that board so they dont get to be rude at the patient when they nurse or doctor do not know person is deaf or visually blind n deaf.

I took someone here for same-day surgery recently. We were told to be there by 5:30am. Upon arrival, there was not another human in sight as we registered at the kiosks. The function of which is to presumably produce a sticker that you attach to your clothing so anyone who sees you knows you are there for a reason. As we left the kiosks to go down the same-day surgery hallway, a woman way down the hallway from where we were walking in the opposite direction began screeching DO YOU HAVE A MASK? DO YOU HAVE A MAAAAAAASK?? No, maam, I dont. And Im not taking one from you either. Go panic on your own time. Im not here to share spittle or breath with anyone at your facility. Calm the f down.No one else bothered me to wear one and the rest of our time there was unremarkable.

Ive never left a bad review before but my birthing experience and after care was terrible I had my baby 10/21 from the moment I walked in the lady was rude wouldnt give me directions to labor and delivery another patient helped me find it. Then when I get there they have me sitting in a waiting area forever they then put me in triage my contractions were 4 mins apart and were progressing fast and getting stronger In triage the student or medical assistant whatever he was tells me to go home and take Tylenol I flat out refused to leave I live 45 minutes away from the hospital I wouldnt of made it home before the baby came fast forward a little not only does he refuse to help progress my labor because Im 3 days away from being considered full term he also refused to let me have the epidural fast forward more they finally put me in a delivery room I ask again for epidural and get told I have to wait for blood results and the iv bag to be done I was already at 8 cm and in a lot of pain I came In at 4cm little bit later he comes to see how far I was and I was at a 10 he kept pushing me to do it naturally and I kept saying I wanted the epidural and he kept refusing it took my husband getting in his face for the nurses to remove him and get me someone else I finally got my epidural and had the baby it was all good but the rest of the time they kept forgetting I existed. I beg you ladies to please choose a different hospital to give birth....

My grandma has had horrible health issues since i was kid and aultman has always been her go to. Her and i’s minds have changed in the last few years. I’m currently parked in the Ear parking lot while my grandma who was diagnosed with Congested Heart Failure has been sitting in the waiting room for over 4 hours after being brought in by ambulance. I called the front desk to check if she had gotten a room after i left to go home and feed her animals and come back thinking she might be in one, when i was connected with the front desk nurse she told me that my grandma had gotten her vitals done but still did not have a room. Mind you, i know Covid is still happening and is scary but my grandma is still sitting in the waiting room. When i asked if there was any time amount she could give m, the nurse replied back “no i do not have a time amount but who’s to say 26 traumas don’t come through door in the next minute”. Now i know working here is probably super stressful, it being super busy, lots of patients to see but my grandma who again has CONGESTED HEART FAILURE and fluid around her lungs has been put on the back burner and I’m absolutely disgusted with how this place runs things. Get better staff or learn how to be human

I respect the medical community and what it has done for my husband, who broke two legs within one year and can now walk and run again. That said, I have never experienced such judgemental treatment in a hospital. I live an organic, simple life and had hoped to have a home birth with a professional midwife. On extreme caution during the final hour we decided to come to this hospital in the event my son may need resuscitation. I gave birth in a room of 25 people standing over me shouting how I should push, pressuring me to use the vaccum even though his heart rate only dipped occasionally to 80 bpm, which is acceptable so long as it rises again as it did. I refused vaccum, and gave birth without intervention 15 minutes after arrival, to a pink and crying son.The two OBs refused us delayed cord clamping on request, and proceeded to pull out my placenta and push pitocin because of hospital policy. They didnt even ask if I wanted to let my body push it out, they pulled my cord before even asking. No consent is needed to remove my organs, I suppose. This IS NOT EVIDENCE BASED CARE nor the practice of many other area hospitals. The rest of our stay, every doctor and nurse that attended us cast quiet opinions for our choosing a home birth, and assumed I was in an abusive situation while my husband sat and supported me like an absolute champion. They claimed they havent seen anyone come in with a midwife before, and I have a difficult time believing this due to location near conservative communities. They went so far as to report to a social worker that Id recieved scant prenatal care because I had declined an invasive test during my care. The pediatrician entered the room with an attitude because we had decided not to vaccinate our infant son for Hep B, and tried to scare us about his completely healthy bilirubin levels.Im grateful my son is healthy, but the events taxed my postpartum mind for days, as you took my feeling of control and security from me in that labor room, and Ill not forget it. I cant imagine how other women feel, as my experience is so minor to what could have been. Even conservative women deserve options for transparent, science based care, which are not found here.

If you can stay with your loved one while theyre there, do it. Dont leave them alone the incompetence of the staff will kill them.My loved one was just discharged after staying a week and the person next door to him fell three times in their room was 3 Doors Down from the nurses station.

Nurses were FANTASTIC in the SICU and regular floor. What I didnt like is my son was there after a gunshot wound and was released with no discharge orders or contacts in case he had problems. Well, guess what? He has an infection around the wound and has no idea who to contact.

My experience giving birth at this hospital was one of the best. Now giving birth is one hell of a experience within itself but with most of the staff in labor and delivery it was made a little smoother. I want to especially thank three nurses ( Jillian) for being on top of everything and keeping me super comfortable before giving birth. (Joy) for being just like her name Joyful and even though she had a lot going on she still made sure I was in great hands. This last one I want to thank is ( Jody)!!!! Now Jody was super awesome!!!!! Mother of 8 she just knows what it’s like to make sure your patient is in good hands. All these women names start with a J which amazes me because my daughters does as well.Thank you Aultman Hospital for helping me deliver my beautiful baby girl Jasmine
