Nice library, they got a lot of activities for young children, and we could also borrow their bike. However, for me, as an Asia lady, I could not find the right bike. Some are too tall and some are too tiny.
Amazing library! A nice spot to go and study or just chill. I love the ambience and decor. The staff are also very friendly!
Be sure to check out the monthly book sale on the second Saturday of every month from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. Most books are thirty cents each. Great bargains, and a huge selection.

The building is clean and comfortable; the staff are extremely helpful and friendly. The library is one of my favorite places in Athens.
The librarians are incredibly nice. I miss the library while it was closed during the pandemic.
Everyones been nice and the board games are fun. Wish the place had free sign in computers, though

Sits in a very quiet and beautiful location. Close to the river and the bike path. They have activities for kids throughout the year. I love renting bikes with baby and attaching the piece for my toddler.They have a new play area behind that engages kids for long.

2022-05-13Its a good library. Books selection is probably the weakest part, but you can see what is there online before going in. Plants and playground are a great touch. Furniture is comfy and space is beautiful and inviting. Good library

2020-03-17I love this library system. I was afraid when I moved to the area 4 years ago I had left behind a great library system for a mediocre one but not so. The more I explored the Athens County Public Libraries the more unique opportunities I discovered. I love the book sales, free concerts, free classes, how helpful and friendly the staff is. If they dont have something you want, they work very hard to either find it for you from another library system or they purchase it for the library system. When I talk to people who live in other states and even other countries about what I am able to attain at our local library they are jealous. The libraries they have access to dont compare to this one. Thank you Athens County for your great library system.

2018-09-12I would LOVE to give this library 5 stars because I love the space and location and would if the staff and patrons were polite! As I sit and listen to another rude patron on their cell phone pretending that the beloved public library is their own PERSONAL office I felt compelled to write a review. Even though I have complained to the library staff, nothing can be done for the rude people in the area. When I did say something about the disruptive phone conversations, I was told by library staff that technically this library is NOT a quiet library. I have come to this library on many occasions experiencing the same noisy atmosphere. I split my time between Alden and here and wont be coming back to this library.
