I came up to visit my family. I went to the hospital to visit a family member that was there. While I was visiting, i met the admitting team of Misty and Stevie. I have to say, they were awesome! They went above and beyond with explaining the admission process, talking about the Cincinnati and Silverton locations. I wasn’t the ones making the decision where they would be placed while they were explaining this, but they did an outstanding job in the room and talking with the family.I’m posting this to both sites since both were discussed.
This place is old and needs some repairs. Staff only change bed linens if asked. In my dads room the window does not even have a window sill. The heat cant be controlled in the room and it is 80 degrees in there. Also, I did not see anything about this online but needs to be noted somewhere. This facility allows smoking outside the back doors. This smoke carries into the building. My dad is trying to rehab from open heart surgery and has never been a smoker. He now has to contend with second hand smoke. The staff at this facility is nice but can also be very loud in the hallways. I should have not just relied on online reviews when picking a place for my dad to rehab. I would not have chosen this place.
Short on staff, no M.O.D present when short,no answer when you call Morning or mid day most cases, the good is not out weighing the bad at this point.
This place is amazing the staff is great and go out their way too make sure your stay is wonderful.This place is amazing it made me not want to leave. I recommend this place to everyone who needs extra care to get well. I loved my stay there..
This has to be the WORST place you can leave your family at. Do not look at the fake reviews, they made them themselves. They don’t care about the people there, they only care about the money. Their facility is run down and very old , they feed them horrible food and treat them like animals. They have no emotion and don’t care about the families when the resident passes. DO NOT SEND YOUR FAMILIES HERE!
Recently visited this facility as a consultant. The building is inviting and clean. The staff are professional and a pleasure to work with. Most importantly, the residents look happy and well taken care of .
I absolutely love this facility! The staff made my loved ones stay amazing and comfortable as it was a hard transition from home for him! I highly recommend!!
I picked up my brother for his birthday today to take him out to dinner. It was easy to get him out and back today.
This place is garbage .. I wish I could post a picture of of the meal they just served my mother for Christmas dinner .. Two COLD meatballs on a hot dog bun .. a scoop of cold broccoli .. and a cup of ice cream .. I knew the switch was coming at first I thought this place was wonderful .. but they sure fooled me .. Wow what a disappointment ..
Place that cares about wellbeing of patients. Well trained health care professionals provide quality care of patients.

They didnt do my treatments for two weeks gave me a bone infection Im dying BECAUSE of this place

2022-08-22I have the best experience with the aide Stephanie. She always goes above and beyond not only for my mom but all the residents. Shes kind, soft spoken, she sings and dances for them and she gives head to toe bed baths. I can always tell when shes had my mom when I enter her room.And shes a team player.

2021-08-02I loved the quality of care for my brother. They kept me informed of certain facts, plus they seemed down to earth on certain matters even while covid was going on. I would recommend this nursing home to families on the care of their loved one.

2020-07-01I am the sister of a recent resident of Astoria Place of Silverton. I cannot begin to thank the staff for the care given to my brother while he was a patient at the facility. His health improved dramatically from August of last year until the end of May, 2020.My brothers progression allowed him to move on to an assisted living facility. Trust me, this would not have been possible had it not been for prayers and the professional staff at Astoria. They were knowledgeable, empathetic, loving , and patient. These attributes were passed on to me as well.I never felt like I was bothering them when I had questions or just needed a friendly ear to voice my frustrations. They were awesome!During the current covid crisis, I received frequent updates from Andre or LeAnn, the social worker. There were also monthly care conferences to keep me informed of my brothers condition.I formed a bond with so many members of the Astoria staff. My sincere thank you to: Andre, Leeann, Deanna, Angie, Jennifer, Jackie, Krystal, Robin and the entire Astoria staff.God bless all of you!

2019-09-18My Mom was there for about two years. I think the employees that took care of her did an outstanding job. Not just one or two but all of them from top to bottom. My Mom was not doing well on her final day. Everyone that was there said if we need anything to let them know. Some even came in on their day off to say goodbye to my Mother. I cant thank them all enough for caring for her even when she wasnt easy to get along with. Outstanding job to all. I highly recommend Astoria Place...Thanks to all,Tom

2019-09-13My brother was a temporary resident of Astoria place of Silverton. All of the staff there that we came in contact with are such exceptional human beings. if you are looking for a place to have your loved one treated like family this is the place for that family member. My family and I are forever grateful for the love and care they showered on my brother. May all of them and their families be so blessed if they have need in a nursing facility.

2019-03-06Visited this facility recently. The new operators have definitely worked hard on making this place warm and inviting. The residents all looked happy and well attended to. The facility staff were courteous and professional.I would choose this facility for a family member should they need a caring and beautiful nursing home to recover.

2019-03-14The NEW team at Astoria of Silverton are changing the way care is given in this facility. The residents are happy and well taken care of, the staff is knowledgeable and pleasant. The facility has a new look. The staff is very co- operative and attentive. The rooms are clean and bright. I wouldn’t hesitate to refer Astoria of Cincinnati to friends and family.Big Turn around 👍
