Aspen Dental in other cities:
Do not go to this dentist. My 21 year old son had a filling fall out on his front tooth. They said he needed a crown. They gave him a temporary that fell off was jagged - He cant eat or drink due to the exposed nerves and when I called their emergency line all they said was that they couldnt see him til monday! Please for your own safety do not use their service.
This was my first time here. The staff is all very friendly & theyre continuously working/informative & really do hit the mark on their customer service skills. The only issue with my appt was that I had waited almost an hour past my time which I don’t hold against them by any means because right now it is HARD to hold and retain a staff. But there was NOT a non busy worker in that establishment at all. Will definitely be coming here again for future appointments.
Was trying to find a local dentist and came here before doing my research. The dentist was SUPER kind, friendly and gentle. The recommended work was absurd. They were quoting me for $12,000~ worth of work and my treatment plan included work on almost every single tooth. In the moment I was stressed, concerned and anxious. I spent more time in the “payment plan” area than getting any type of cleaning and observation. They had me pay the out of pocket cost of the treatment that would be done at the next appointment that day and in the heat of the moment I did. When I went home and took time to look over the plan I noticed unneeded items like an electric tooth brush and oralB account. I decided to get a second opinion and brought my treatment plan from Aspen to this other dentist. They checked my teeth and confirmed that I need MUCH less work and much less extensive work. Aspen was quoting me for multiple crowns and tens of cavities. In reality I need no crowns and very few surface level fillings. Costing me 1/5th of what Aspen was wanting.I’ve also learned that Aspen has quotas to meet and multiple malpractice lawsuits. Do your research before coming here if you don’t want your teeth overworked and unneeded issues!
Horrendous experience.1. Walked in at 12:48pm for a 1pm appointment to a sign saying to have seat because the staff was at lunch. I waited until 1:05pm until someone even came out. The receptionist tried to get me to fill out paperwork I had already submitted online.2. The X Ray technician didnt have the proper bite guards for someone with torus palatinus (a condition which means I have very limited space in my mouth, due to extra bones on my mandible) and cannot use the large size as it is painful. I grimaced through the procedure and continued to get my teeth examined.3. The experience with the Hygienist and Dentist were pleasant but brief. Determined my teeth were in good condition but I need 7 cavities filled and a debridement/ scaling.4. I have very good, high end dental insurance... this is where the borderline criminality happened. They wanted to charge $1300, to have my teeth cleaned and 7 fillings. They are charging way above regular rates even after insurance. My deductible is on 60 a filling! They pay for cleaning and debridement but Aspen is saying that they charge extra, $202 for a topical antibiotic, minocycline and they renamed the procedure so my insurance wont cover it. This antibiotic can be bought on farmer websites for $30 for almost a year supply for horses!!! Price gouging at its finest. The kicker... they refuse to do my fillings until I pay for their made up procedure. They tried to even charge me for a $175.00 toothbrush!!!!!!!!!! My insurance company told me to find a regular dentist and they will pay for another exam.
They were very friendly from the moment I walked in they listen and wasn’t rude. I have very bad anxiety with dentist from the past and It’s been years cause my past experience was horrible and I told them. The teeth surgeon talk to me made me comfortable fast getting it out. Much love brothaAnd these guys made sure my experience was nice. Very quick at helping got me in ASAP. Much love to them!!Sincerely B. Allie
This team is amazing this past Friday I went in to get my wisdom teeth out by Dr Scott who did an amazing job when I told him I was a little nervous to be about being awake during the procedure he assured me that he has done this thousands of times and that mine where gonna be a breeze! He was very nice during the whole thing and kept checking in on me to make sure I was doing okay! This team is amazing and I’m so happy that I chose them for this procedure
I went in because I had a cavity in the back of my front tooth...the front desk receptionist was nice and helpful..the x-rays were very uncomfortable..the dentist came in started spewing different things I needed done to my teeth and it all happened so quick. I was told the office manager would talk to me about payment and plans for my dental work..she came in and quoted me $27,000 worth of work that I didnt ask for..I ònly wanted to take care of the cavity that I initially came In for...they made me feel like I had no other options than what they offered. I have never felt so defeated in my life!! The dentist was not personable at all, and did not make me feel comfortable 😕
I have not been to the dentist in a couple of years and finally started going in July. I was in no pain but knew there were issues. I had a lot of work done. Just a couple of months later, I had to go back for pain. Apparently, my crown was too high so they had to drill it down a bit. I went back again for more pain and there was an infection. They believed the root canal they already performed may have been deeper and referred me to an endodontist. I was assured by Dr. Chopra that the $225 consultation fee for this specialist would be reimbursed to me. I went the end of October, faxed them the receipt, called a few times about my reimbursement and never heard back. Just a few days ago, I was in pain AGAIN. I called multiple times and left voicemails, called the emergency line and still didnt hear back from the dentist on call. The only way I spoke to someone was by calling for an initial appointment. The scheduler in New York tried getting thru to the office and when she couldnt, she told me to just stop by the office. It was 3:15 p.m. the day before New Years Eve and they were closed but able to speak with me. I talked to Ben about the pain and the reimbursement I was awaiting. He told me I would be reimbursed for all of the fees once the work with the specialist was completed. That is not what I was told. At that point, I was in tears and told to have a good day before leaving. A bad day they could have prevented by simply thoroughly doing their job and communicating effectively. How you can do a whole root canal after all of the x rays and pictures and say, Whoops, I missed a spot is crazy. I ended up going to urgent care for antibiotics. Once the work with the specialist is completed, I will be switching offices. Dont waste your money!!
I had such a great experience in the Springdale office. The front office staff was a fun group of ladies that made me feel welcome from the minute I walked in the door. The young ladies that worked with me in the back where extremely kind and helpful. I was having a broken tooth removed so I was very nervous. The assistant made me feel welcome and understood. Dr. Scott was very fast at removing the tooth. He has a fun attitude and great welcoming smile. It took longer to numb my mouth then to remove the tooth. We will definitely be back. TY again
Beware!! Don’t waste your time. This is not a normal dentist. Keep looking find a new dentist. I went in for a new patient visit. This is the first time I have ever gone to the dentist and not gotten my teeth cleaned. I was there for well over an hour with no cleaning, the dentist was in the room for less than 90 seconds with minimal discussion with me regarding his assessment. He literally looked in my mouth for less than 20 seconds. The whole time i was thinking this is weird, usually they clean the teeth before the dentist comes in. I was told they would now schedule my cleaning and discuss my treatment plan. I was told at this point that the hygienist had recommended a “special” cleaning plan that would cost over $600 out of pocket. (My gums are high from having braces when i was young. But nothing has changed in the last 20years.) I said I wanted to hold off on this and just have a traditional cleaning as covered by my insurance (what is normally done at every other dentist visit I have ever had in my life.) nope. Now that this plan had been “written up” (which I never agreed too) I was told they couldn’t change it and the dentist wouldn’t do anything else without me paying for this cleaning that I don’t want. So now I have to find a new dental practice. One that listens to the patient’s concerns, where the dentist actually talks to the patient. Do t waste your time going here.
Front desk was amazing . The lady who took my info was amazing and nice. The problem was in the back . I walked in a there was the problem the x rays were right there in front of everything and everyone. I have alway had a problem with my gag reflex and I was trying my best the x rays were uncomfortable and painful. Then they took me back for them to check my gums and teeth the lady’s were nice . The only problem I had was they were in and out so fast I didn’t feel like they were personable. The dentist came in a showed me I had a cavity. Ok I get it but then the dentist said the manger would come and talk to me about a plan.and the dentist walked right out of the room . Ummm I thought it was the dentist job to help me come up with the plan. The manger came in the room and said that my insurance werent open yet so he would have to call me to make sure everything was covered . It has been 5 hours and no one has called me. Not only did I not feel comfortable I was so upset. I have had brace in the past and teeth cleaning done my whole life and never have I felt like that before.
It was the worst experience I have ever had regarding ANY medical issue, any doctors appointment I have EVER had in my life.I will NEVER set foot in this dentists office, nor will my children. What a hack job. My jaw is still swollen and sore from the multitude of med shots he put in my gums trying to find the right spot to extract the tooth. One full week later, and my extracted tooth location is still so beat up. There were pieces of tooth left in my gum as well. I have gnawing constant pain. So unnecessary seeing as though Ive had teeth extracted before, and never experienced any pain at all.He couldnt find the right spot to extract the tooth on the other side,so he numbed up my entire face, tried to extract it, and I felt enormous pain in my tooth STILL. Absolutely HORRIBLE.(I only gave 1 star because you have to give 1 to post. It would be ZERO stars for me.)
Everyone was pretty friendly, I was just expecting a check up and my teeth cleaned, but I guess I needed a little more.My insurance didnt cover so they got me financed. I was glad. And my appointment for that paredantial cleaning was set up fast. So over all to this point I pleased with them.
The staff was really nice in the beginning, when I scheduled the appointment the girl who scheduled me was very nice. She knew I had not been there before so this was my first time so instead of assuming that I was going out of there with my teeth cleaned, I was wrong. The staff should make it clear that the FIRST VISIT is only to see the doctor and get xrays (which is pretty ridiculous). Working folks have to take time off work to come to these appointments since they dont have evenings or Saturdays. I was very upset because I had to leave work early for this appointment and not get my teeth cleaned. That was the reason I came there. So now you have to have 2 different appointments for just a teeth cleaning. So now I would have to leave work early again, go into work late or take a day off work just to get my teeth freaking cleaned. Ive been going to dentist for 30 years, never ever had I had to come back for a CLEANING. I understand when additional work is needed but not for a cleaning. Very disappointed in the Wilkes Barre office, I used Aspen before several times in Ohio and had a great experience so I was thrilled to know Aspen was in PA when I moved here. Very unhappy and then staff was rude when I tried to make an appointment for another day just to finish my root canal/ crown procedure. Very disappointed and will not be going back or referring anyone to this office!! If you use this office, make sure youre aware you need 2 appointments for a new patient to get your teeth cleaned!!!
Doctor Scott is great and he makes you feel safe. He knows what he is doing and therefore you are in good hands. At Aspen Dental you can pay as you go and not have to worry about where to go to get QUALITY help. It is important to know the person is your mouth is not practicing like at a free clinic. Good job guys.
This was my first time there. I was treated with kindness and everyone was professional. I had to get a tooth pulled and also knowing I needed the remaining 8 pulled Dr. Scott didnt try to give me the we can save them. He actually verified that they werent worth saving. I highly recommend Aspen Dental in Tri-county. I have to stop by in person tomorrow after work to set up appointments to get my remaining teeth pulled and get my bottom denture.
Everyone was super friendly - it was my first time there so I was super nervous! They took me back on time. Grace helped me in the beginning, she let me know she was new, but she did a great job! They let me know everything I needed and got me rescheduled very fast! I will be sticking with Aspen Dental for sure.
Great staff, filled with people that truly care! The office team broke down all my paper work, how insurance would play a factor into my total cost, and overall treated me great! Came in for a check up, and ended up getting all 4 of my wisdom teeth pulled within an hour and a half! Very professional. 10/10 would recommend, and they will be seeing me again for all my dental needs.
I had a really great experience at Aspen dental for being there for my first time. Only waited in the waiting room for about 10 15 minutes. They were very polite and told me everything I needed to have done and they will get me taken care of. They were straight forward and very quick with everything. They knew I was in pain and are helping me in every way. I was very pleased with my visit. I would recommend Aspen dental to anyone such as friends and family. Thank you guys so much! Great team at Aspen dental!
Horrible experience. My husband has anxiety when it comes to the dentist and the Aspen Dental in KY did a great job making him feel comfortable and safe. We made the mistake of assuming we would receive similar care here and were sorely disappointed. The dentist was very unprofessional and treated him like a bill instead of a client. Then the crown that was put on broke two weeks later due to poor installation. Will not be returning here again.
My husbands appointment in Springdale went well....this will be the second visit at Aspen Dental. The Dentist is wonderful on a scale of 1-10....he would get a 10++++....but this 2nd visit the dental assistant had a really bad attitude and horrible respect/interaction with my husband who was the patient. Maybe ahe was having a bad day (we all do...especially these trying days)...but come on...be professional and be happy you have a job. Without patients...you have no job!
I went to Aspen dental because I had a broken tooth that needed to be removed. They did a exam and took e rays payed out the other work that needs to be done. They never pressured me to do anything else. I can do the work based on priority. Dr Scott was great he did a great job and I never had any pain after the appointment. If you are looking for a dentist I highly recommend Aspen. I will be going for some other work and for regular cleaning.
ITS been some time for me having a dentist that I feel comfortable with! The dentist there was Incredible and the assistants were Awesome and caring. Ill be making an appointment for my mom. Whos afraid of the dentist.. I Would consider them fit others and transfer word of mouth. This is the place!!!!!💛💚💜💙🧡❤
1) I had a dental emergency and received no reply and I waited for three months. I called this location directly and left messages. I called the hotline and got no assistance. I called the hospital and they told me if I came in they would turn me away, mainly because that was an issue a dentist should be looking at and not an emergency room physician. As a result the tooth (a broken wisdom tooth) fell out and now there is a hole where the tooth was.2) I never received a bill and the first bill I received is a collections notice for 62 dollars. I received no phone call, no message, no form of communication. I will NEVER recommend Aspen Dental to ANYONE, not even to a mortician. If there was a way to give this review negative stars I would. One star is one too many for my experience.
Front Desk person Michela lacked work ethics and was very unprofessional over phone and would not provide any info of an appointment never scheduled by Aspen even though I had email confirmation. And then Mr. Ben always had one answer to all queries I dont know - Great way to shut down customers for a mistake done by Apsen employees
I am having really bad tooth pain and they could not get me in. I went somewhere else. They dentist I went to needed the ex rays aspen took. I called and they informed me that I would need to come down sign some paperwork then there corporate office would have to send it to the dentist I am at. I know have to have another Wray done and I have to pay out of pocket.
I could not have more negative things to say about this office. The first appointment I scheduled with them, they required me to get a whole new set of very expensive x-rays even though my previous set had been less than a year prior. I also was seen for a total of 5 minutes by a dentist and did not receive a cleaning, which was the entire reason I had made the appointment; I had to create a separate appointment for that a week later and take more time off work.My next appointment, I waited an hour past my appointment time (as did the 3 patients before me at least) and received a cleaning, but never saw a dentist.I have currently called their office 3 times to set up an appointment for a current dental problem because their online scheduling system is a nightmare and you have to cancel any appointments youve previously set up in order to make a more immediate appointment. The first call was after business hours and I left a message asking to have an appointment set up. I did not receive a call back, so I called back a day later during business hours and did not receive an answer, so I tried again today during business hours and still did not receive an answer. I have left another voicemail, but am not hopeful and am considering finding a new office.
Waited over an hour to be seen - ended up there for 3 hours and unfortunately no work done. I thought they would at least have a cleaning done. The dentist, hygienist, and assistant were wonderful . They need better communication with the billing process. Its very costly .Was supposed to receive a call back to get next appt set up to have actual work done, but never received a call. If I didnt love Dr. Carolyn Cousins Bates as a dentist, I wouldnt go back. Shes amazing - recommend anyone to her no matter what practice shes at.
11 teeth pulled and denture put in. I thought it was going to be good, I cant them wear them because they make me bleed. I have to go to work without any teeth and the office wont help. I wish I had gone somewhere else. Im so embarrassed. I dont recommend this place. $3000 wasted.
Absolutely not good experience.Tons of x-rays taken .I had problem on left side and it was an emergency but they still took the whole x-rays .I was advised to remove all four wisdom teeth which I am not really sure thats required( I am not a doctor or expert but I got uncomfortable after knowing that recommendations is to remove all these teeth) . And a tons of other work on my teeth .I left the facility with a thousands of dollars of estimates, and the only answer to my pain in the teeth was over the counter pain reducer medicines.Facility was clean and nice. Assisting staffs was courteous. Appointment started on time. But I didnt get a satisfactory advise on my problems .
Dr. Barnes is very compassionate and caring, very thorough with all details, she even went as far to ask which pronoun I prefer so as someone transitioning that meant a lot to me, also it reflected just how detailed she was not only in her profession but the compassion for her patients. This Aspen place has always been good but now it is simply great! Some of the reviews here should fall off because this place has been taken over by a very magical and caring woman and her staff, and the care rates are more than competitive compared to all the other cost Ive been quoted. This is my dentist and its definitely 5 Star place!
I had 3 filling and a bridge done here, all have to be fixed. My bridge was set wrong so my teeth dont close all the way and the root of both adjoining teeth are exposed causing pain. All 3 filling have to be drilled out and done again. This is all recent work, within the year. I made numerous phone calls during business hours always got the voice message system and never a call back. Theyve done nothing to try to fix these issues or reach out to me although Ive left numerous messages. The doctor is more concerned with what music hes blaring rather than the work hes doing. Very dissatisfied.
It was a great experience, overall which started from the very first call which I made and after I spoke to Naomi, the Receptionist at Aspen Dental. She was so nice, very accommodating, had a great attitude, very cheerful and went above and beyond her means to help me out. This was also the first time that I was calling this location. This was a great and welcome change from my previous experiences, the services rendered and cancellation of my fixed appointment at my local Aspen Dental branch.I went to this new location recently straight from work for my set appointment and was greeted by Naomi, the same Receptionist who had fixed my appointment, couple of months back, with a great smile. She was very cheerful, very patient and helpful, caring, understanding, courteous and had the same great attitude which she had over the phone!Later Brianna, the Hygienist came, greeted me and took me for the process. Brianna was very patient, caring, understanding and resourceful. She was very knowledgeable and answered any of my questions and also set up my next appointment. She did a great job as well!I was really impressed with this Springdale location and especially with Naomi and Brianna! I would give them both, five stars for their excellent customer service skills, their attitude and ease of approachability. I will definitely make yet another visit and many more! I really felt welcomed at Aspen Dentals Springdale branch. Thank you.
The staff is friendly and welcoming. I was having trouble with a crown that broke. I also decided to get invisiline. They explained the process thoroughly. Aspen offers financing which allows me to make low monthly payments. I would definitely recommend Dr. Scott and staff.
The staff was kind but in spite of my severe pain, they were not able to help me. They took x-rays, told me what care I needed, but the dentist was not comfortable with performing an extraction. They offered the services of their only oral surgeon who would not be available for 3 weeks. When asked what I should do about my pain (being I couldnt sleep and could barely eat) I was told to take over the counter Tylenol, which I had already been doing for days with no relief. It would be nice if dental doctors were still trained to pull wisdom teeth vs sending patients away in agony.
Dr. Patel & his staff at Aspen Dental are fantastic! From my very first visit, I felt comfortable & was treated great. I had dentures that were 44 yrs old and were beginning to show the wear of their age. From my very first visit, I was treated by a staff that seemed knowledgeable & willing to help. Got my new dentures in 2 wks & I am totally satisfied with appearance & function. Been back for 1 adjustment & may need 1 more.Kudos to Doc Patel & Staff!!
The most inefficient office with the nicest people. Dentist and hygienist seem knowledgeable with great bedside manner. We haven’t begun any treatment though because, although I was there for 2 hours (waiting for 50 mins), I was unable to meet with the office manager to review my treatment plan and pricing. If I return, I will update my review if necessary.
First appointment time was 330 got there as directed by 315. Didnt see dentist until 440. Dentist was very nice. Time to go over plans and cost. The paperwork is not itemized and everything lumped together. I questioned why so high and she stated insurance not covering anything on bridge. I asked why since existing bridge was over 10 years so she re-entered and cost came down by 950.00. Cost still seemed too high and called insurance and they said Im being charged out of network so I called and they stated that I was being charged in network. Asked for them to send itemized list along with codes so I could go over with my insurance prior to work and Im waiting on an email with this information.
A tooth in my upper denture cracked and part of the tooth fell out. The young lady on the phone at Aspen Dental gave me an appointment for the very next morning and was extremely polite and friendly. At my appointment the entire office staff was equally warm and caring. Person Skills are obviously important to them. My denture was expertly repaired and I was able to pick it up the same day. I am pleased with the repair and the cost was quite reasonable. I would highly recommend Aspen Dental to anyone needing dental care.
Very unprofessional. I just read the review from others and they have also experienced exactly what I just did. My appointment was at 3pm. There was 1 person ahead of me. 6 people came after me with 3:30 and 4:00 appointments. They all got called while I sat there in the lobby. I am very upset with this service. My advice is to choose another dental office because this one is not professional
If I could give this place a negative review I would. The wait times are AWFUL. Clear your entire day if you plan on coming here. You will NEVER be seen on time. Been here 4 times over the last 2 weeks and every time its the same.. a minimum of 45 minutes to an hour before they even take you back. Then more waiting in the chair. If you have dentures or plan to get them, RUN. You will be left in pain, no care instructions, and confused about whats next. And trying to get in for adjustments is impossible. After they get your money, they dont care about you, your teeth, or the pain youre in. Cant even call with questions or concerns because they never answer the phone.Whats more annoying and unprofessional is that you can HEAR the females in the office from the waiting room.. gossiping and laughing likes its social hour.Just do yourself and your loved ones a favor and DONT COME HERE.
Staff was helpful and polite and made things easy to understand . The dentist ( Ishanga T Ugbzizi ) was easy to understand and she explained everything to me in a way I understood . She was easy on my teeth and seemed to care about the patients . I would highly recommend her. Abby was awesome. She explained things perfectly. She was very helpful and always had a smile on her face. My experience was welcoming and that made me feel special. I give all the staff atAspen Dental in Spingdale the best review I possibly can they are the best.
I just got an evaluation done, so there wasnt really a procedure performed. I have dentures and need a new set and my remaining teeth removed. The whole staff was very friendly and caring. I would recommend the tri - county location to anyone near this area and suggest Aspen Dental to anyone. Keep up the good work.
My appointment was at 415 got there at 340 to do paper work. I sat in the lobby until 445, i then had xrays done and sat and waited on the doctor for a hour and a half. The assistant put my blood pressure cuff on and never came back to get my vitals or take the cuff off. The next time i seen her she was saying goodbye to the staff as she left. When the doctor came in he didn’t even give me his name, just looked at my xrays and my teeth. Then walked out without saying anything. I would never recommend this place to anyone. Horrible service
Was treated previously and my experience was equally as wonderful. The Staff is very accommodating, understanding, compassionate and some even possess the Gift of Music! 🎶 🎵Imagine that! 🎶 Therapy that Inadvertently allows the Patient to be Comforted by Melody. Here Are My S.T.A.R.S.S. SERVICE IS #1T. TEAM PLAYERSA. DR. Cagney Scott (The Dentist and The ARTIST)R. REASONABLE PRICES. SIMPLY THE BEST!
Went for root canal last tuesday. By thanksgiving my face neck were swollen it absessed. Called their after hours emergency service NOT one dentist nor their practice admin answered the page the service tried for 4 hours. I ended up going to the ER. Since they are only drs all they could do was administer an antibiotic. I lost $150.00 in pay over the weekend $400.00 for ER visit copays for antibiotic advil n tylenol never worked so extreme pain no sleep. Off again today. They open at 10am but never answer the phone until 10:45 or later. And the staff can all be heard partying n laughing it up while u wait sometimes past ur appt times. Very unprofessional. Very disapointed they can fix this and crown it later but i will not allow them to do further work. Ill go back for my regular dentist.
I had an emergency dental incident where my molar had a large piece chipped off. I called (Im am already a patient) at 10am they told me to cone in at 12noon. I couldnt drive the pain had me in convulsions and tears. When I got there I had to wait 2 hours, I watched in throbbing pain as they walk routine patients to the back for Xrays all the while I was riving in pain. I kept asking to get immediate assistance but was told I had to wait....I just went to a different detal company and was brought straight to the back. Ignorance.
Performed a procedure on me without alerting me that my insurance wouldnt cover it. To top it off, they have yet to change my address, so fun surprise to find out from my parents that theyve been trying to reach out to me for payment. Ive told them 3 times my address has changed and each time theyve assured me it would be fixed. Will not be using their services in the future.
Paid for best dentures 4 years ago. Top plate split in half front to back. Took in and paid 61 out of pocket plus insurance. Later found out they should have been under warranty. Then the repair that still had a split line cracked again 1 day later. Now this gets even better, the manager of the store called me, apologized and said they would refund my account. They did not and they stole from MetLife insurance. The place is a 100% scam.I took the exact same pair to affordable dentures same day service. They fixex it, removed the seam to where its not visible and still to this day in excellent shape.... guess how much out of pocket, 61.oo..... Aspen is a farce avoid at all cost. Lo
Made an appointment for a teeth cleaning and went to only have X-Rays taken and was told I needed to make another appointment to come back for a teeth cleaning. Also, they had said I had 3 cavities that I needed to get filled and when I came back it would be $30 for the cleaning and additional for the cavities. I was very confused because my wife had just went to another Dentist and had everything done (x-days and cleaning) same day and it was no cost (we have the same insurance). Long story short, I went to her Dentist who said I did not need to get my cavities filled because the 2 were very tiny and the 3rd had not penetrated the tooth yet and with some special toothpaste could eventually go away. So not only did this office try to recommend 3 cavities be filled that didnt really need to be filled, they also make a separate appointment for the cleaning as to bill you/your insurance company again.
As we come to the end of 2013, many of us reflect on the blessings we have received during this year. How grateful I am that I can cite my experience with Dr. Patel and his staff at Aspen Dental, Springdale office. From my very first visit at the office, I was made to feel welcome and comfortable both by the friendly competence of the staff and the pleasant environment of the office itself.I had no problem with my teeth until I met with an accident this year when I lost my two lower incisors. Doctor not only took care of emergency but also replaced with a new temporary bridge the same day. I was so fortunate that I could see Doc the same day of my accident, he identified and fixed this problem - got my permanent bridge just recently. Till today, I had no hint of any issues with the bridge, its working awesome.Doctor inspires the utmost confidence by his smile which is so wide that it seems apt to describe it as extending from sea to shining sea and by his wealth of knowledge, skill, and professionalism. Kudos and the highest recommendation to Doctor and everyone at this office, Finally I found my Dentist!, Five stars!
Went in 3 years prior and was told work would cost about $5,000. Couldnt afford it or get the payment help thing so opted to not get treatment. I was a new patient. They charged me for xrays and stuff even though there was promo for free x-rays for new patients. Then went back recently as I had insurance. They never checked me in or took my new patient forms even though I told the front desk I had new papers. They took me to a back room and I waited about 30-40 minutes for the doctor to come in. He then confused me with another patient and then was taken away again.Another 10-15 minutes passed and the doctor returned and he seemed confused about what was going on and why I was there. I told him Id been there 3 years prior but now I had insurance and wanted to get work done. He then ordered X-Rays.I waited again for the x-ray machine to be free and working (it went down or something, not their fault but I probably should have been taken right to the X-Rays as I came in). They took the X-Rays and then I waited another 15-20 for the doctor to come back and explain all the work that needed to be done.As I have great insurance I had no problem with what they were saying. though the Hygenist said I should get certain tooth brush and then added it to my bill (I didnt realize til the end I thought she was just saying for me to get it. Also, I wont get that fancy brush for 5 months because the hygenist gives it to you at your appt and shes booked 5 months out). After that I had to wait a little while for the finance lady who seemed nice but disorganized. She was mad at me for not telling the front desk that I had insurance, only to find out they never checked me in or set in the system that I was taken back to see the doctor. Then after all that was cleared up she booked ALL my appointments without consulting me if they were OK times, she just threw time cards at me.The staff there seems nice enough but rather abrupt and little bedside manner. I hate the dentist, I have tattoos, I ride a motorcycle, Ive broken bones but the dentist scares me. This place does nothing to make you feel better or alleviate any fears. My insurance chooses my dentist so I have to go to these people. Also if you call during business hours often they will have the call back during regular business hours message up. Not sure if thats because they are understaffed orwaht but they should change the message. I almost thought they had closed early one day that I had an appointment when trying to confirm something. In closing, they are fast, but dont expect any kindness or empathy. Especially if its before they start to get money from you.
WARNING: PLEASE DO NOT GO THERE. they told me I had serious periodontal disease and almost THREATENED me to go for the intense treatment every 4 months which cost ME TONS of MONEY. After that I went to three different dentists to get tested again, and it turns out I DONT ACTUALLY HAVE THE DISEASE! They would overtreat you to get your money. PLEASE DONT USE THIS DENTIST, BECAUSE THEY WILL TAKE GOOD ADVANTAGE OF YOU!
I would not recommend Aspen dental. I dont know why service were so bad the day of my appointment but I feel no one paying for a service should tolerate such.I arrived on time. My appointment was 1:15 pm. I waited one entire hour to be taken back for x-rays. It was my first visit so I expected some wait time..I completed my x-rays which took another 30 - minutes or so.. Ive had x-rays done at other dental offices which took minutes to complete. Im not sure what this was all about. I had x-rays done the week before at another well known dental office in the WestChester area. This appointment at Aspen was for a second opinion. The x-ray equipment used seemed very out-dated to say the least..After X-rays were done I was taken back to another room for what I thought would be to see the dentist. Well this didnt happen. At 3:00 pm I was still waiting. The office manager did come to say after Id already been waiting for more than 30 minutes or more that the Dr. was tied up in a surgery. By 4:00 pm still no Dr. .A dental hygienist and whom I thought was her assistant finally came to do a pre- examination of my teeth a little before 4:00pm. I actually thought ,certainly this was the doctor. No.No doctor yet. Finally I decided this is not a good situation. Maybe a dentist or two were out ill. I couldnt even guess. Maybe staffing more dentists would be good or not booking so many appointments per day. I will say. Office staff were polite and kind. The wait time is what did me end.
This place is absolutely horrible. The office manager Danielle lacks the basic principles of customer service let alone sales. The dentist advice me I am in good condition except a couple of cavities and in need of two crowns. In the time I waited to see the office manager Danielle I had somehow developed gum disease and needed 2,000 to fix because according to her my insurance only covered 10%When I called and asked how we came up to the conclusion she shared, because I was rushed out the door since they were a about to close so any questions I had I needed to wait.So when she called me she yelled and told me I was rude and told me not to call back.I was simply wanting an explanation I work hard for my money and I felt like this place was just wanting to make a sale and take my moneySo if you dont have any moral fibers and like to be treated like garbage this place is for you
Made an appointment over 3 weeks ago to come in today. After driving twenty minutes to get to the office, I was told they did not have an appointment for me today which means I have to come back in another 2 weeks. They wont let returning patients make appointments online, unlike the new patients. Clearly, they cant set up appointments by phone correctly so the only way to get an appointment as an existing patient is to drive down to the office and get a card with the time and date so they cant call you a liar.
I have had one issue after another at this office Now, I have had a partial that I purchased here break.... twice and Ive only had it for 2 weeks and 3 days. I cant afford to take anymore time off work to have them fix something that should have never broken. I have requested a full refund on the partial. Although they say they care, the tone in their voice really says, they dont. There denture work seems rushed and unprofessional. Get the $3000 and get them out the door.
My father has dentures and he was having a problem eating. I called Aspen Dental to see what they could do to help him. Being on Medicare and worrying what the cost was going to be Aspen immediately took him in and evaluated him and didnt charge for the first visit. Turns out that he needed new bottom dentures. This practice is by far the friendliest and genuinely caring dental office I had ever been to and their cost for the elderly on fixed income is affordable. I will continue to bring my father to Aspen for daily checkups. Thank you!
First off, the staff is wonderful and very helpful. The people who took care of me initially were very good. However the rest of the visit was not.I went to Aspen per my wifes suggestion due to their fear of dentistry ads. Unfortunately, the dentist I had the misfortune of visiting was far from comforting. Sure he called me buddy, pal, ect. But, Dr. Patel was far from comforting. He was very short, acted annoyed when I showed fear of a root canal, then asked well, how did you have the first one very pointedly. Then I explained, while crying, held down and 12 years old. He then asked if I even had insurance, and that they would not even schedule without payment secured. I am well insured and own my own business, but I was in my work clothes and dirty. He then walked out of the room without saying anything. No thank you, no goodbye, no advise, nothing.Im sure there are plenty of fine DRs in the vast Aspen franchise, but Im not about to risk letting someone like Dr. Patel put his hands in my mouth...If you have true fear and real need for help, please try them, but ask for another Doctor...Needless to say I will NOT be returning.
PLEASE dont go here!!!!! They will constantly rob you of your money and say you need horribly expensive treatment in which is unnecessary. Find a good independent dentist. Thats exactly what I had to do. AWFULLY managed. They didnt submit the right documentation to insurance they just didnt submit anything to insurance and stiffed me with the bill. I have great insurance, but were too lazy to submit the xrays.
The dentist seemed friendly I guess. I had the luxury of being their last appt of the day and when the girl was prepping to do my x-ray she had struggled to open a package that held sterilized pieces inside. One of these pieces fell on the floor and instead of opening another package she wipes it off with a sanitizing wipe. I was kind of shocked but I have a tendency to overreact so I wanted to make sure I wasnt tripping but I still cannot believe she really did that. Other than that the guy at the front desk wasnt your typical friendly and engaging face and the dentist again seemed ok.
A truly bad experience. They were confused by their own recommendations, and were not knowledgeable about treatment options. It took four inconvenient visits BEFORE beginning work on an EMERGENCY I had with my tooth because they couldnt decide what treatment to recommend, and then they said their equipment was having difficulty drilling on my tooth. Imagine my horror at hearing that. Then they tried to rip off my credit card for $1800, which they promised would be refunded. After four months the credit card company had to give me a credit for the unrecoverable funds. These good reviews had to have been written by the business owner. Be very wary; I highly recommend avoiding this place.
Waited over an hour and a half after scheduled appointment for my boyfriend to get in to see the surgeon. Originally told the surgeon was half an hour behind when turning in paperwork. Nobody bothered to even come out and update on the extra wait time. Complete lack of respect for patients time.
Dentist and Hygentist, very professional. Front staff is awful. Waited 35 minutes to reschedule and pay, finally walked out without doing either. Was suppose to call in antibiotics, and here it is Friday afternoon, office is closed, and not done. Worse office ever! Needs to hire front office staff - with professionalism.
I have been twice to the Springdale Ohio location and have been seen by Rahim Abdul both times. I was there both times for an extraction and when I went on Jan 7th 2016, that was my first time in a dentist office in 14 years. In January I was extremely nervous and uncomfortable leading up to the procedure as it had been so long since I had been in a dentist office (also had never had a tooth extracted). The numbing was the worst part of the procedure but was virtually painless. The tooth took minimal work to remove (wisdom tooth) and I immediately felt like a child for getting so worked up. One tooth down and one to go at this point. The second tooth came out yesterday 2/23/16 and it was a bit different. This time upon arrival, I was stoked to be getting this last painful tooth removed. No nerves, no worries. I arrived half an hour early and was seated immediately. Doc came in and got the numbing started within 3 minutes of being seated. This time I was getting a premolar removed. The numbing this time involved a lot of pressure but again, was virtually painless and very successful. I was numb from my lips to my ear. This extraction of course was not so easy. Go figure. Much more accessible tooth with plenty to work with and takes 10x longer to extract. The tooth broke upon trying to remove it and after a few minutes of trying, my nerves caught up to me. I sat up instantly (still no pain but a ton of pressure) and felt sick and light headed. I broke out into an amazing amount of sweat and my whole body began to tingle. I almost passed out. Luckily Abdul was very professional and outgoing and he immediately started to comfort me. He removed my socks and shoes, opened the back door and told someone to call the paramedics. Having been through this before, I told him not to do that and that after a few minutes I would be fine and we should resume the extraction. The doc and the awesome staff kept my mind off of the procedure as we awaited my color to return. After about 15 min the doc came back in, checked to see if I needed more numbing and resumed the procedure. Keeping a drum beat going with my hands and feet as I rocked out to 5fdp, we flew through the rest which included drilling into the bone and minutes later, I was being tapped on the shoulder to be told we were done. Again, absolutely no pain what so ever. 2 visits, 2 extractions, no pain and Im so happy it is done.I would highly recommend this dentist office to anybody in the tri-state area. The professionalism and care they provide at this location is beyond any other experience I had in the past. They were amazing.
There were too many calls, text, reminders, about the appointment as if i were a child. also i assumed i was going in for a 6 month cleaning and found they had no hygienist to do the cleaning. had to re schedule for the following month. this was not a good experience for my first time using aspen dental.
Absolutely rude staff from the dentist down to the receptionist. Nurse handled my head and teeth like she was dribbling a basketball during the X-ray. Dentist was condescending, pretentious and the worst of the bunch. I came for a tooth extraction not for my morale to be murdered! 1 star only because zero stars arent allowed
Shame on health insurance companies HMO dental plans for limiting their customers to this level of care. I cant speak for the positive reviews here, but I can tell you the negative reviews hold true to my experience with Aspen in Springdale. My experience was actually worse than any of the negative reviews Ive read here. My dentist was not Patel, if that helps. But i would not recommend any of Aspens locations or services to anyone who can help it. More importantly, stay away from HMO dental health plans that limit you to these type of providers. Its cheaper for a reason. It may seem cheaper, but it will cost you more in the long run in being limited to a small selection of dental providers. You will pay; not just out of pocket from having to go outside your network for better care, but also in time and most importantly in your mouth. Your mouth is not something to take the cheaper most limited route with. I learned the hard way and am paying dearly for it. Being able to write this review and possibly help someone else avoid what ive been through with this provider and other providers in Cignas HMO network (Cincinnati Dental Services, for example) that Cigna limits their customers to is the only positive that has come from it. Youve been warned.
Rip Off. I went there after my tooth broke. I wanted to save my tooth they started talking about pulling my teeth and giving expensive bridges that are not necessary. Go somewhere else this is a Scam. I never discuss finance obligations at a dentist office, I have great insurance. But they sent me in to talk money before they would fix the problem and they want not to fix but make money by extraction and bridge work. I got the tooth fix at a local dentist paid nothing out of pocket. They wanted to charge me $7,000.
Unorganized office, cluttered space (wish I had taken a picture), dispassionate associates who gossip in hallways outside of patient rooms instead of working. Didnt even have someone available to clean my teeth. At a dentists office. Go figure. One star may be too many.
Run away. Run far. Run fast. This is the fly-by-night, sketchy version of dental care. Poorly run. Poor care. Insisted that expensive work needed to be done when in fact it was completely unnecessary. Thankfully, I knew enough to get a second opinion...I couldn’t get out of the chair and office quickly enough. Don’t go here. Run away.
They had me come on for 10:45 am ,I went in at 10:38am, every one who came in after me went in before me , without none of the staff members even tried to reach out to me to see what was the issue , whilst at this time they were at the front desk laughing and chatting up a storm, very unprofessional
I was scared to walk in i am afraid from dentists but as soon as i did the girls at the front desk are amazing and have smiles and made me feel comfyDr Scott is amazing i will go back and let him work my teeth i literally didnt feel any pain he talked to me like he isnt doing anything and less than a minute my wisdom tooth was out no pain no worries i highly recommend dr Scott thank you aspen dental
I had a very bad experience with them ,I had a root canal appointment and wait for almost a month to come do the treatment ,at the appointment day I went there the office was closed without even call or send a message to let me know ,and when I call them no answer I left a message and they didn’t even bother them self to call me back to apologise, that’s unprofessional how to treat your customers that way.
I thought it was very non customer oriented, but profit oriented, reminds me of ordering medical supplies unde r the Medicare mail system that werent really needed, just told by the pharmacy that they were needed. That is why they shut down CVS, Walgreens, etc. from mail ordering diabetic testing supplies.

2022-04-15I hate to write negative reviews, but I was very frustrated by this branch. I made an appointment a month ago for Friday, April 15. On Wednesday I got a text saying they needed to reschedule my appointment and to call them. No problem. I called and was put on hold after there seemed to be some confusion. The receptionist told me they would need to call me back. I waited till the next day but did not get a call. So I called again and found out they had canceled my appointment. This isn’t really as big deal, but the fact that no one called me and I had to hunt down the information was really frustrating. I understand the need to reschedule but please call and let me know so I don’t waste my time and I can get help elsewhere.

2022-07-22If I could give Aspen Dental zero or negative stars, I would. I had the most frustrating, and time-wasting experience here, not to mention the worst dental care Ive ever received. I first came in to have an exam and cleaning, which for some reason had to happen in two different appointments. Ive never heard of a practice having you come in just to look at your teeth (for all of 5 minutes), then come back again for a cleaning. Thats just the beginning. The exam revealed that one of my teeth needed a crown, so I made an appointment to come back (again, why couldnt they have just done it the same day I was already there?) to have my tooth prepped and receive a temporary crown. What happened next was TWO failed attempts to make and secure an adequate permanent crown, resulting in me having to come back for SIX more appointments before they finally gave me a permanent crown on the THIRD TRY. Let me also mention that this location was not the closest to me, but one of the few places I found that accepted my dental insurance. Had they not roped me into a payment plan after my first appointment, I would have NEVER continued to keep coming back after the clearly amateur service that was being provided. Having finally gotten a permanent crown as of today (my first appointment was over THREE MONTHS AGO), I still am not even confident that I have a satisfactory crown that will hold up over time, or not cause future problems. During this whole ordeal, I would often wait for the doctor to see me for almost an hour (while sitting in an examination room) on several occasions. Also, I saw three different doctors throughout this experience, so I never felt confident that they understood this ongoing situation I was being put through. Someone in my immediate family has also gone to this location, and told me of having a similar experience. I am frankly shocked at how poor of service I received, especially considering Im being charged a high market price for my crown. I would warn ANY person considering going to Aspen Dental to stay away and find a competent, small practice that isnt a chain. Aspen Dental is the Great Clips of dentistry.

2022-05-11This location was awesome! The staff were kind and understanding of my son’s situation. They did his check up and cleaning the same day. I was literally in and out. His teeth look awesome!!!! No wait either.

2022-05-12This was my worst dental experience ever! The staff kept interrupting the hygienist while attending my care which caused her to pierce my lip with the sharpest dental tool ever and the lady who puts on the dental bib hit me in the face, it was just too many “I’m sorry “. After a two hour wait I was informed that the system was not working to discuss my dental plan and payment options. I was just in for a non painful chipped tooth. 😡😡😡😡 #unsatisfied customer #no service

2022-08-02Every time I make an appointment the get canceled and need to be rescheduled. How do the office have hours of operations but never fulfill them. Ive changed my work schedule several times to find out that my appointment need to be rescheduled. Good thing my job knows that Im not making this up or asking for proof. They do not deserve 1 star but Google would not allow me to score them lower. Its like they do not care about their customers. Ive been waiting over 5 months for a cleaning that keep getting rescheduled. I recommend NO one goes here until they can get there act together. I also noticed every time I go into the office they have a new staff. Thats says a lot for their practice.Still waiting on a call back from this request. Spoke to the office manager and they still havent called me back.

2022-07-06Wow experience that I never had before in my life. This place offers free x ray and examination for self payers but never actually does it. My first appointment was scheduled more than a month ahead and I drove there 40 minutes early in the morning to find out that it was canceled. They rescheduled my appointment in another one month and this time before going there I decided to call them first and OF COURSE they canceled it without even texting or calling me. What kind of people working there? Why offering free stuff if you will never do it? Why wasting someone’s time? This is such a huge disrespect. If you don’t want to serve people for free then DON’T offer anything!I was hoping to get this examination and wasted more than 2 months with this horrible place.

2022-08-29The DA kassie is wonderful to work with. You know just by the way that she preforms her job. Very passionate, professional and outgoing. She definitely takes the stress out of going to the dentist. 😊

And Im told everything from its my fault my gums are made that way or that it cant be helped that the final product will be good. Losing faith. Upset so much money spent and Im still struggling.

2022-07-19I had lower partial made they didn’t fit .Bought them back on July 11 a doctor lab technician and a lab tech tried to get them in my mouth we’re unable to. Another cast was made i was asked to come back in the afternoon they would call me that never happened. Call today spoke with T and employee she told me she had spoken to 3 people and was told that I had picked up the partial Monday afternoon that didn’t happened. She was very rude and told me I did pick them up she was going to call me back today that didn’t happen now you have my money the insurance payment and I have no partial. Now I have to seek legal advice and contact the insurance coto find out what I have to do. Never expected this to happen .
