We saw Aint to Proud the life and times of The Temptations, Motown records most popular singing group. We had box seats on the lower level. The over all experience was spectacular and quite memorable. Staff were friendly, kind, and very helpful in navigating us to the correct seating and so much more.I will definitely go again. Parking downtown can be cumbersome so my daughter hired a driver, I believe valet parking is available also. Definitely needed when walking in cute shoes. They asked for vaccine records, ID, and masks. However only mask was required. Bags/purses were checked after entering. Before show started all cell phones had to be turned off. No food/drinks were allowed, but there were drinks available to purchase and take inside the show. Intercession was 15min approx. The Ctr was quite beautiful and handicapped friendly for those in wheelchairs/walkers. If you are large or taller size best to arrange an end seat or let them know in advance, because regular seating appeared quite tight with very little leg room. A+👌🏾💕
Theater is beautiful and show was wonderful. Only complaint is the seats are not as comfortable as could be. Need to be a little wider and the row rise on the seats in the rear orchestra section needs to be steeper to give better view to all patrons of the stage. I have been in balcony seating also and view is better there. Recently went to Taft and their seating was much better even though its a much older theater.
A magnificent venue. Sitting near the stage and looking behind you at all the people and balconies is quite a sight. However, expect to miss a quarter of the show while you stand in line if you go for a drink at one of the 4 bars for literally thousands of people. Kinda sucks to stand in line for a drink for 30-40 minutes for a 2 hour show. If the venue wasnt as beautiful as it is, this would easily be a 3 star review
Saw To Kill A Mockingbird this time, it was amazing! Have seen many musicals here and it honestly is always a good time. There is a bar with pretty large alcoholic selection. Snacks and pop/water are available as well. Even from the balcony section the seats are very good. Everyone is always polite and helpful!
Love this place. This time we went to see WICKED. Its a great place to get lost in the music and the acting. Everyone of the staff was very courteous and grateful. Adult beverages as well as coffee and water served there. Drinks are prohibited in the seats bathrooms are very clean.
The theatre is very nice, and been kept well. Shows here are well organized and the space is great. The drinks/snacks are short lines usually. The audio in the main theatre desperately needs an upgrade, the sound for all plays we’ve seen here is muffled, poor separation, tinny, and needs some love.
I loved My Fair Lady. Great staff. Only comment when you go to a Broadway Show, Dress Accordingly. Refain from, shorts, ripped jeans, clothes you would wear to clean house, weed a garden, wash cars, etc.Look in your closet and pick something appropriate for a dress up occasion.
The show itself was great. Some of the staff however, were very rude. My mom requested a wheelchair prior to our arriving. The lady/usher, Vicki, put in charge of providing the wheelchair should not be allowed around other people. She immediately had an attitude with us because she was provided the wrong time of our arrival and bullied my mother into sitting in the chair. She then refused to push my mom through the center and instead said I had to. Now this wouldnt normally be a concern but Im almost 5 months pregnant and it was crowded. The box office people gave us the wrong tickets for the wrong show. We complained to the event supervisor and she was incredible. She made Vicki go exchange our ticket for the right show. As we were leaving, the same usher, Vicki, refused to let us walk outside with the wheelchair and didnt offer to go with us so my mom could make it outside. Overall, the only kind people we encountered were the event supervisor (didnt get her name 😞), another usher standing by when we complained, and the concession worker. It was disheartening. But the show was fantastic! Great work Sidra Bell!
Cant say enough good things about the Aronoff. My family and I have been going to events there for many years and weve always had a great time. However, this past experience was by far the most wonderful. My family had a health issue and after reaching out to Chandler Hull, we were treated with such accommodation. She went above and beyond what she needed to to help us see My Fair Lady and we are extremely appreciative. In every way they outdo themselves and Chandler and all the employees deserve a shoutout! Thank you!
I went here to see Shen Yun, which was a fantastic show! However, when I first walked in to find my seat, a lady that was part of staff started yelling at me, saying Cellphones are not allowed! Cellphones are not allowed! Keep in mind that this was BEFORE the show even started. I told her that I had my phone out to find my row and seat number on my mobile ticket...I get that the show strictly prohibits photography (which wasnt why I had my phone out...) but the show wasnt starting for another 10 minutes and I looked around and literally EVERYONE was on their phones. Exactly why was I yelled at for having my phone out but it was fine for everyone else? It didnt make me feel very welcomed, to be honest. Also, during intermission, I overheard the same lady tell another lady in a wheelchair sitting next to me that she was blocking the view of other guests behind her...which was a bit rude, in my opinion. Overall, excellent show...but I would definitely work on providing better quality customer service.
Clean. However the seats are VERY uncomfortable. In need of desperate makeover, especially post covid. Seats are small for the big hips, no leg room for anyone of height and VERY VERY close together. These facts gives my experience a 2 star. Wont be back anytime soon for these reasons as well.
Absolutely beautiful venue! I was fortunate enough to be able to see Dear Evan Hansen the other night and the performance was incredible! The staff was very helpful and efficiently got everyone into their seats. They had a nice selection of drinks, I was able to enjoy some of the wine during the intermission and everything was priced reasonably. Overall, this is one of the best theaters that I have visited and I look forward to having the opportunity to return!
Am trying to get help with mobile tickets, sent e-mail and no response. Mobile ticket directions are vague and hard to understand unless you are a computer geek. I googled Aranoff tickets and was directed to a ticket re seller, thinking I was buying directly from the Aranoff Center. I spent four hours looking for help to find the reseller did they did not offer any assistance, but did charge a $20..00 processing fee. Buyer beware! If you are not computer savvy, this is a mere scam. These venues sell large volumes of tickets to re sellers and really do not inform the public. After four hours of attempting to resolve the problem, a rep helped me finally download the tickets. The re seller did not do a damn thing except steal money. Very disappointed in the method of reselling tickets and have notified the Attorney General of the State of Ohio about resellers, and expressed my disappointment to the Aranoff Center to which they respond with no support. The $20.00 is not the issue as much as the consumer fraud involved in ticket re sellers. Needless to say, I will no longer attend any events here unless I can go up and buy a ticket at the box office and that will not happen, so my one time visit with my overpriced tickets will be my last! All communication must be online, and not enough reps due to low pay or staffing shortages. Waited over an hur on the phone and no response,. Either shut it down, or run it right!
Saw the Aladdin ballet at the Aronoff and really liked it! It didnt really follow the Disney version (probably bc of copyright) but the sets were nice and the dancing was really beautiful! It was great for people of all ages. Here are some pictures from my seat. I was sitting in the loge rear, row g, in seat 215. Hope you enjoy your show!
We go to see the Elvis tribute show most every year. This year is the first time I consider being my last. The Elvis that passes out scarves ignores the generation of original Elvis fans. Ladies in their 70s and 80s patiently wait on the side to not interrupt the performance but to get a scarf that he passes out. The performer ignores the senior ladies in preference of the ones seated in the front row that just stand up when he gets near. From my seat, I watched senior women stand there for every bit of 20 minutes and walk away empty-handed while teenage and twenty somethings were quickly addressed. I really thought Elvis should have read the room a little better. It even seemed like the scarf guy on the side was encouraging him to get to the line of committed true generation Elvis fans. I take my parents here every year for a Christmas gift but tired of seeing the base fans ignored, they arent getting younger, Elvis!
I took my daughter here to see My Fair Lady. As usual it was an enjoyable afternoon. The only downsides were that I had i show my ID, show my vaccine card, wear a mask the entire time, go through a metal detector and all the women had their purses rummaged through. That was just to get in the building. It felt like the pandemic scare tactics were alive and well. I dont mind wearing a mask but theres no point in requiring vaccine cards or negative tests if they are forcing you to wear a mask. I definitely wont be back until those requirements go away. If you like carrying around registration cards, and having your personal belongings searched just to see a musical, youll enjoy it.
The Aronoff is a great venue to watch plays. Weve only been there twice which happened to be September 2021 and November 2021. Had the opportunity to see Pretty Woman and Wicked. Both shows were fantastic, but wicked was better. The seats are comfortable and I really enjoyed the venue. They do require masks and vaccination/negative test status which is good. During Pretty Woman they didnt allow drinking or eating during the show but they did open that back up for wicked which was nice. Because prior everyone was just drinking in the lobby with masks down. Now you can at your seat but must put mask up during sips which is aligned with NY and other places. Really appreciated that.We bought season tickets and Ill definitely continuing buying in the future.
A delightful theater in the heart of downtown Cincinnati. Plenty of parking all around the venue, and some great places for pre- and post- show eats. The Broadway seasons here are always well planned with high- level performances. Seating is comfortable, even in the cheap seats. Temperature and climate control are much better than comparable venues in Indianapolis. Concessions are limited, but sufficient for the type of venue it is. Do not hesitate to buy tickets to the programs here. I dont believe there is an obstructed view anywhere in the place. The balcony is high, and elevators are limited, so either arrive early enough to use them or bring your stair climbing shoes. Ive caught 2 shows here in the last 9 months. Another coming in 2 weeks. Love this venue!
The theater is beautiful and well appointed. Its all first class. As someone with a hearing difficulty, the sound system was absolutely excellent. I could actually hear all the dialog in Wicked, which is never a given for me. Location and parking was not a problem. However, I really feel compelled to point out a huge negative for me. The seating is incredibly small. I am a very average male as far as size. 6 foot, 195 pounds, and I was squished all around. No way could I cross my legs or move. The people on my sides were overlapping our arms and legs. After the end of the show, I was a cramped ball of muscle. I cant even imagine how an overweight person could fit or negotiate comfort in those seats designed for very small people. It really was a deal breaker for me - I will not go back to that venue.
Got to see Les Mis and WOW is all i can say! The venue is stunning and gorgeous. There was not a bad seat in there. The acoustics were superb, I never felt like I couldnt hear something. Venue was easy to find right in the heart of Cincinnati. The staff and ushers were super nice. It was the valentine day showing so it was a packed house but the venue handled the large crowds excellently. Highly recommend seeing any show that travels through here.
Lovely venue. The production quality in terms of acting, sets, costumes are top notch. Only compliant is the seating. No break in the rows so if you are in the center you have to pass by literally 30-40 seats. Aside from being a huge pain I cant imagine its very safe.
Missy takes me here to make a worldly man of me. If y’all are into artsy, a good place for you. If you’re into low impact karate or Netflix binging, this will not hit your spot. It would be a 4 star if they hike the wine price. Lucky for them, them Gallo are still seven bucks, to make the artsy stuff more palatable. It gets into you, them artsy places... “palatable” ... how hip my review is!
I went to see Brain Candy and it was amazing. A little long but very entertaining. Adam Savage has been a big star in my life from Myth Busters now to new shows of interest. Have never really seen Michle Stevens as a star but more as a person who was made into a meme for others entertainment. Well all and all I had a wonderful time and would definitely go again.
The Magic Show had better be good. Because the Aronoff isnt prepared. They want you here 30 to 45 minutes before the show, then you wait in the lobby without anywhere to sit. While you wait to sit in theater. We ended up being rousted from the steps. Then grabbed a kiddie cushion and sat on the floor for 20 minutes. If you cant stand long its really bad.
Saw Wicked. Great production. The singing voices were unbelievable. If you go make sure you have your mask, covid card and drivers license. Cant get in without them. Metal detector too The house was packed but only took a few minutes to get in and find our seats. They differently are a well oil setup.
Sad, I usually attend 5x per year. Not willing to add experimental trash to my body to see a performance. And youd have to be dumb and blind to not see the game. They require all of these lovely measures up front, but in their own Q and A they say no social distancing will happen in seating, we sell at full capacity.Of course you do when its all about the money and not really about health :)
Everyone was masked keeping us safer. The ushers were helpful. The bartenders were helpful. And Johnny Mathis knocked it out of the park as he is still so great a single. Hard to believe he is really 85 years old, never needing a cane, stool, or any other aid. His voice just kept getting stronger with each song. Marvelous!!!! And he introduced us to a great band/orchestra that was amazing as well. To top it all off, Johnny introduced us to a new comedian to me, Brad Upton, that had us laughing until we cried. Great evening. Wonderful, wonderful.
We went to see Something Rotten, the Musical. TheArnoff Cemter for the Arts building is magnificent. Even though , we were in the balcony we had an excellent view and great acoustics. Employees/volunteers made it easy to find our seats. Several exits allow the theatre to empty without any bottlenecks. There are bathrooms are every level eliminating the long bathroom line. Finally, if you go during the week, prices are reasonable.
Went to see Bob Dylan perform last night and while the act was fine (though he played almost exclusively from his 2020 album and didnt play ANY of the songs that made him famous) the event staff at the theatre was disrespectful of paying customers.Constantly shining flashlights in front of us and on other patrons who either had phones out or didnt have masks over their nose, unsure. It didnt make much sense for masks since vaccination was required upon entry. This constant disruption of staff and flashlights made for an uncomfortable evening. We will not return to the Aronoff and will patronize the other venues in the area.
Great theatre! Weve sat in many locations from orchestra center (rows FF and P), the balcony and upper balcony and all seats are good - both for viewing and sound. In fact, when I take my 9yo daughter I like to get either M or higher Orchestra Center or Balcony so she can see well. Ofc, they do offer seat cushions to gives kids a boost to be tall enough - depending on event they either pass them out when they scan your ticket or you may need to request from an usher.Parking is terrible though. Theres no dedicated garage or even one very close but there are many little lots nearby. (The kind of lot with no attendant, ticket machine, tight spaces and even tighter rows.)Although this theater is good, if you live North of downtown Cincy, you may want to see whats offered at Schuster Center (newer, big and beautiful, parking garage). Of course, theres many performances only available at Aronoff.Overall Aronoff is nice. Ive seen many awesome performances there and Ive never had any serious complaint.
I have been here for an event pre-Covid and again just this past week. The second time I saw a Bob Dylan and it was wonderful. There are people on here complaining about the masks and security. They should be ignored. We would all be better off if more places had policies like this place. The Aronoff center did a great job setting expectations when you bought the tickets, when you walked in the door, before the concert, and if you missed any of those, then I don’t know I made it that far in life. Besides, Bob Dylan has had a no photography policy at his concerts for some time now (since he tripped a couple years ago). At any rate, the venue is lovely and the staff are saints for putting up with the miscreants who can’t leave their phones in their pockets for two hours.
An absolutely beautiful modern theatre. It seems like every seat has a great few. The building itself has a well thought out design. The staff was friendly and efficient. They were very helpful getting us to our seats. I thought the theatre had some great acoustics as well. I cant wait to visit again for the next show. It you havent been here you should probably check it out.
Got a last minute ticket to The Book of Mormon the day of the performance. Still, just as easy to get the ticket. My seat was in the very last row of the uppermost balcony of Proctor & Gamble Hall. The show was still amazing and I did not have a problem with the seat! I also saw The Hunchback of Notre Dame in the other theatre and it was amazing! There isnt a bad seat in either theatre. I see a ton of Broadway shows there and Ive never had any problems. Staff is always amazing a nice!
Excellent performance venue. I love the Broadway shows to which we actually now get a large selection of. The staff are friendly and helpful. Refreshments are affordable and reviving during intermission. The place is always clean and spiffy. I have seen three shows in the last year and a half to which I raved about. Look forward to seeing more in the future. Highly recommend catching a show here!
Friendly, helpful, professional staff. We saw the Lion King musical; which was amazing definitely recommend! The ushers were awesome. We had our 4year-old with us and they brought him a booster seat without us even asking; which we didnt even know that was an option so we were definitely impressed. Also, parking garages nearby were only $10. In my opinion, fairly cheap and very close walking distance to the Aronoff. We cant wait to go back again.
If I could give zero stars then I would! My wife and I are frequent attendees at the Aronoff. That will no longer be happening thanks to their extremely discriminatory policy of vaccinated or no entry! This vaccine does not keep a person from getting the virus NOR does it stop the vaccinated person from spreading the virus (CDC words not mine). How then does it make any sense to then require people to get this vaccine? You have lost my business forever at this point regardless if you change the policy now. I can only hope that the rest of the 50% of the population that is not fully vaccinated will cause your enterprise to shut down. That is what any business deserves who discriminates against 50% of the population.
The Ballet was amazing! We got not one but three very different shows that each had their own spice and feel.I will highly recommend the ballet to anyone who enjoys live entertainment and arts. Also loved the live orchestra! It had almost a silent film feel with very impressive timing and great music talent.Simply put, I can not wait to come back.
I love this space and have been coming here regularly since the 90s. Sight-lines are fantastic throughout the theater and they bring in great entertainment, especially their Broadway series shows. Its starting to show its age, though, and I feel like its time for a massive upgrade. The seats are pretty worn out and the water pressure barely (if at all) allowing for toilets to flush at intermission has become increasingly problematic over the past two seasons.
The Aronoff is a beautifully decorated theater. Ive only been a few times, seeing The Lion King, 12 Angry Men, and Motown the Musical but each visit was highly enjoyable. There really isnt a bad seat in the house and the seats are comfortable enough but if you are short or need a little more cushion, they have seat cushions you can borrow for free.During our recent visit to see The Lion King, I purchased coffee (delicious!), Chocolate covered peanuts, and cheese crackers. Ive purchased acoholic mixed drinks in the past and the service was quick and the servers are very friendly. Im sure that I will be attending more shows here during 2020.
Such a beautiful theater and the staff is always so helpful! I love coming here and seeing the new shows. The chocolate they sell is amazingly delicious! The theater is very large and some of the seats require stairs. If you have difficulty walking, this can be a taxing visit but depending on the show youre seeing, could be worth it. The Weston Gallery has some very unique exhibits that are nice to see before your show.
Great staff. Great show! Horrible seats. Seats are so uncomfortable and small that it would distract you from the musical and when you paid a lot of money for those seats you expect a little bit more of comfort. Also bathroom lines are way way to long. When you are pregnant and have to really go or you have a young child who cant hold it for 15 minutes its not ideal.
So everything is wonderful and the seasons are great, but the theater is too big. Like if you sit anywhere behind the lower balcony front section you might as well just stream it illegally online. You will feel closer and more connected to whatever you are seeing. Pre-order drinks are fire and they have a good system set up for it.
I dont have a lot of experience going to shows, but we had a lovely time. Acoustics and lighting were great. Bartender was super funny and staff were all helpful. We had box seats (and definitely didnt look the part haha) so we had a good laugh after an usher followed us down to double check our tickets. It was a really enjoyable date night.
The seating is excellent. There is not really a bad seat in the house. You are places out well enough that no one in front of you would be blocking your view. I have had the opportunity to sit in many different areas. The sound quality is excellent and even from the very back, there is much to see.
Could use an upgrade to its concession offerings I think. Lines too long and too limited of offerings. I think some kind of cool stylish vending machines could be a fabulous addition. However, the Stage, stage lights, performance and seating are all Top Notch in my opinion. Had a great time at Lion King!

2022-02-18So many shows, but my favorite was most definitely Wicked!! Ive sat in a few different locations here and every seat is a good seat. I did enjoy the private balcony here and like that distance from other, but sitting close to the stage is also an unforgettable experience! Would most definitely recommend the Aronoff!! Contemporary Art Museum and Prime! Excellent full evening experience for sure!

2021-11-20The Aronoff Center is a true Cincinnati treasure! After watching a production of Wicked I am so proud of this cities dedication to providing the Tri State with first rate entertainment. The venue doesnt have a bad seat in the house. It has a beautiful architectural design that allows everyone there ease of movement, access to libations, bathrooms and less crowding whether you are coming or going. The staff is both friendly and eager to help any patron. What a wonderful experience! Well done Cincinnati! As Always, Enjoy!

2021-11-21I went with my girlfriend to see the play Wicked and we had a nice time. We did arrive a bit late but we were helped to our seats by the kind workers. The workers were nice and also took our photo after it was over. Also exiting the parking garage was easy and the traffic moved out quickly. Overall it was a good experience and Id definitely watch another show at the Aronoff Center for the Arts.

2021-12-14This event was in the smaller theater. There is no bad seat in the house. Excellent service and ushers even helped us get booster seats for the kids.

2022-06-02I went here to see Tom segura. We were at the very top in the back. Every floor has a bar. The ushers were incredibly helpful and nice. I like that the show ensured no one pulled out their cell phone.

2022-03-29My first time at the Arnoff and it was amazing. Was with my niece and family for the Disney Princess concert
