I would not recommend Alter to people. I attended for my freshman and sophomore year of high school and did not like it. First of all the guidance counselors offer nothing and basically exist to sit in an office and talk with their favorite students. Second not many AP classes are offered so students can’t push themselves to the fullest and lastly the lack of students created many cliches and social divides. Religion was not a big focus as the uniform was not enforced and people were not respectful. The leadership was strong and friendly. When I moved to a different state, the high school I attended was much different. We were able to go to the library at lunch and talk with teachers. We had much more freedom which is good for high schoolers finding out who they want to be. I was also but behind because of Alter as many of my peers had the opportunity to take AP classes as freshmen. Would not recommend!

Alter is a great place to be. Our principal and dedicated faculty really care about our students. My children both benefited from the excellence in the classroom and the nurturing of their faith. What a great community to be a part of- join us!

I was here for AlterFest and really enjoyed it. The volunteers were all very friendly and welcoming.

Alter is the strongest school in the area at developing future leaders. The young adults that graduate from Alter are poised to do amazing things. Consider this school as you plan for your children!
