Recently purchased a refrigerator from the Maumee store.Instead of paying $50.00 for a delivery fee, I elected to pick up the refrigerator. Of note, Home Depot and Lowes do not assess a delivery fee. Installation is also included free of charge at Home Depot and Lowes.I stored the refrigerator indoors, in the box and it was never used. Within 30 days, I decided that the refrigerator was too small. I then took it back to appliance center. Appliance center had zero overhead regarding delivery or return.When I arrived, the refrigerator was taken out of my truck by staff. A manager then stopped them saying that the return was not scheduled. The manager also said that if I wanted, “I could leave it in the parking lot”. After some negotiation, the manager agreed to process the return after inspection. The refrigerator was taken out of the box, inspected for dents, marks and then plugged in to determine it worked.. Which seemed counter productive to take an item out of the box??? Also, the refrigerator offers a 5 year customer warranty. That process felt as if I was being treated as someone who was attempting to do something nefarious.LONG story short, the return was granted after argument but a 25% restocking fee would be applied. I argued and got it down to 10%.YOU are better off purchasing appliances from big box stores due to their friendly return policies, delivery and installation at no cost. Instead of having $170.00 stolen from you for a reasonable return of an unwanted, unused and not damaged item still in the box you purchased it in.
Bought a refrigerator and when it arrived it was alll scratched up and they insured me that someone would be out soon to paint it and you wont even see it. Well it is 3 weeks and after numerous calls they are blowing me off and refuse to give me a different one. Never would I recommend this place. Tried to buy local, but got worse service. Shame on this management for not taking care of their customers. $800 and have a junky looking refrigerator.

I didnt shop Appliance Center at all for the Kitchen Aid appliances I purchased from them because they seemed (from their commercials) to be a turnkey white glove supplier of premium appliances. I could not have been more wrong as they are the worst company, I have ever purchased products from. I purchased a 4 ft cook top, Industrial Range Hood, 2 convections ovens, and a warming drawer. I also purchased premium Kitchen cabinets from them too. Its been a comedy of errors from this company (Too many to list here) culminating in the damage of my 2-day old floors during the delivery of my appliances 1.5 years go. Yes, you read that right its been 1.5 years since they damaged and agreed to repair the flooring. Its been delay after delay without any real explanation as to why. The employee managing the process doesnt return texts messages or phone calls and If I want to get a status update, I must go to the location. He was supposed to be senior contact at the company, but his only function is sales and sales only. The company has made promise after promise and not honored them. I have left several messages for the local owners and not received one phone call from them either. All companies and people make mistakes--myself included. It’s not that you make mistakes it’s how you fix it afterwards. This company is horrendous in its service delivery, and I am truly sorry I purchased anything from them. I purchased extremely expensive appliances and cabinets from them. Imagine the service you will receive from them if its just a single appliance. No one should buy anything from this company they only care about new sales and not serving existing clients.
I bought a Dryer in December 2021 and it was defective from Day 1.They have pushed me to ElectroLux Warranty and they have been at my house five times in seven months. We still have a non-working unit and no one will help us. We usually purchase from ABC Warehouse and made he mistake of going here.
We had a great experience from start to finish! Starting with Sherry our sales rep! We arrived at the store just 15 minutes before they were closing, and she never once made us feel rushed! She was great about telling us all the details of all the appliances we were looking at and she made sure we knew if we had any questions once we left we could call or email her at anytime! The day the appliances arrived (10/4/21), I was kept updated on approximate times and they arrived right as scheduled! The men (I believe ones name was Ned) who delivered our appliances were so professional, hard working, and respectful!!! We will be back to appliance center for any future purchases for sure!
I love the Appliance Center. Came in today with my parents to purchase a microwave and the sales rep was wonderful. Dont remember her name, but she was very knowledgeable about the microwaves and assisted us into choosing the right criteria. As I was wondering around after looking at microwaves, at stoves, this very nice guy named Ryan who is also a service rep greeted me, and asked me if I needed any help. Ryan goes above and beyond to help people and make people feel very welcomed. Ryan has a heart of gold and is an asset sale rep. I think of Ryan as a good friend. Thank You to both the female sales rep and Ryan.
We loved working with Living Appliance Center in Sylvania, OH for our kitchen remodel! Recommended by our awesome contractor, Jeff Turi, who coordinated the remodel, Appliance Center was the perfect choice for designing our kitchen. Kitchen designer, Daryl Redway took all of our ideas and wishes and planned a beautiful, affordable kitchen transformation. His knowledge of the process is amazing and all of his recommendations were perfect! Daryl listens, understands and has breath of knowledge of materials and design that enhance his ability to create a kitchen that suits your dreams. Anthony Seadin helped us select all of our kitchen and laundry appliances at Living AC as well as, a beautiful counter height dining table. He was so helpful and patient as we made our decisions. Great prices, reliable delivery and very personable service from the entire Living AC team!! It is now our go to place for all of our furniture and appliance needs.
We visited the well-stocked electronics.. furniture... laundry... cooking materials store to see if we could replace our aging Cooking utensils..Honestly we were very impressed with what we saw in this locally assembled store.Great day with an efficient Customer Service Representative..who explained everything to us.The exciting news about the store was that the technicians come from the same town in the Greater Toledo area.We ended up buying a new cooking appliance.. which was delivered three days later.
If I could give this store 0 stars I would! I am all about shopping local especially since the pandemic. But I have had enough with this store and the customer service. Purchased a $6,000 couch that has broken in 2 months of having it. Leather wearing off, the whole foot rest and reclining mechanism on both sides is all messed up. Had a tech out middle of December to look at it and said it needs fixed and and I am still waiting til this day 04/14/2021 for the repair to happen. Was told on 03/12/2021 my replacement parts were on a truck coming from NC. Was told it would be in the following week. Never happened. Then was told it would be at the store 04/08 or 04/09 and still hasnt happened. I am getting the complete run around on the repair of my couch. The manufacture said the parts were scanned out back in March. So where are they at? No one can give me an answer. The furniture manager rarely responds to emails or calls. Gavin has been helpful as he is just the middle man, but enough is enough. They have contacted the GM to see what to do now about the repair but they wont give me his email or contact info to speak with him directly? I believe getting the run around for months is enough especially when I have been told 2 different times when my parts would arrive in Appliance Centers hands. At this point I will be taking any and all business elsewhere. Do not shop this store. There customer service is horrible!
I bought a washer from Appliance Center in April 2021. It is not working and reached out to them. I was informed that this was a manufacturer problem and I needed to contact Whirlpool. What? I bought it from them and never have heard of warranties not being handled by the store you bought it at. Ok, I reached out to Whirlpool and after close to one hour and speaking with 3 people, providing each the same information I was informed Perrysburg is a rural area and only one company provides repairs. Their next availability is October 13. They will review the situation and order any parts. Then what? So basically I am to go without a washer for a month at the least. I reached back out to Appliance Center. They were not surprised by what had happened at Whirlpool, it was like they expected me to get jerked around. They told me know that I have a file number the will talk to their service manager and see what they can do and get back with me later in the day. Imagine this no call. So basically I have a new washer sold to me by Appliance Center that I cannot use and Appliance Centers attitude is I have nothing to do with this. So buyer beware, they are simply in it for the money and have no concerns with caring for the customer.
We decided that we wanted to replace our Greatroom furniture. We had heard horror stories from family and friends about their inability to get furniture before December so we werent really expecting to be able to find anything. We had purchased furniture from Appliance Center a couple of years ago so we stopped by to see if we might find something that we could get before Thanksgiving. Samirra (our saleswoman) was perfect. She didnt hound us or follow us around while we shopped, but was available when we needed her. She informed us that the set that we were interested in was in stock and available, she arranged for a quick delivery and we couldnt be happier. Our family is questioning how we found ours so fast and they are a little miffed but...all I could say was that they should have gone to Appliance Center to shop for theirs. They are one of a few shops that sell Flexsteel and its worth paying a little more for the quality.
Bought a new washer and dryer. Salesman told me lifespan of appliances these days last only 7-10 years. Looked at washer in 500.00 range and was told that the warranty was for only one year. He suggested a commercial model for 900.00 with a five year warranty. I bought that washer and dryer to match. After paperwork was completed he said that the washer would be delivered in two days. It was. He then said that the dryer would be in the next Saturday so I figured I could wait a few more days. Washer was delivered on July 17 as promised but the delivery guys dropped it and it bounced down 7 basement steps. I phoned store and was told to report any problems if they occurred. Nothing else could be done. After a few days I phoned to get delivery date of dryer and was told that there’s nothing scheduled. Dryer not there yet the salesman lied and told me that I would have it in a few days. I wouldn’t have purchased that model if he was truthful. When I phoned to complain the manager insulted me and told me that I only PERCEIVED that I was told it would be in soon. I didn’t perceive anything. The salesman lied. I canceled the 999.00 dryer. I’ll never shop there again
We purchased furniture in December, we were told it would be delivered in 4-6 weeks. Its going on 6 months and still dont have al all the pieces. If we would have known this, we would have gotten in stock, or gone somewhere else. We did get some items about 4 weeks ago, however, one of the motorized recliners is already broken ! I personally went to the store to set up repairs, I waited all day, rearranging my schedule , no one showed up, no one called! So when I called the store, I was told there was nothing scheduled, but that they would call me right back, that didnt happen either ! I will never shop this place ever again!!
We ordered a new sofa from here in February and got a notice that it was in so we went in to pay the balance. Sofa is made in Indiana but fabric is made in India which caused a delay due to Covid. They did offer a discount for being a veteran which was a nice surprise.
This is a wonderland of purchase choices, and for us, that was a bit over-whelming. We perused the store and were met by very friendly staff who were helpful but not intrusive. We could have furnished our entire home from this store alone so if you are in need of something new, check it out, you wont be disappointed!
Terrible experience. Took over an hour to get a salesperson over to help us. Then gave us the run around for over an hour as she way pulled in different directions from other staff and other customers needing help. You would think that the process of spending your money would be simple easy and fun. This was none of that. After the 2 hour run around to find this and look up that our salesperson disappeared with other customers and left us sitting. After another 20 minutes we walked out.. terrible experience. Would expect more from such a reputable company who spends so much money on advertisement and marketing to get customers in the door...we spent our money elsewhere where we had great customer service, a fast and convenient experience and we will actually have our furniture in a few weeks rather than a few months...
I bought a mattress in a box and had an issue with it not coming out straight it was lope sided. I contacted the service department and sent pictures of it to them and they said that would get back with me. With the pandemic going on I was in a big huge hurry now 3 months later I’ve never received a response back so now I’m living with a lope sided mattress. So being considered a top rated service department I beg to differ , what kind of company would just not respond back, I am really disappointed and will never shop there again. I also have another Mattress in a box that came out just fine. Lope Sided Mattress 😳
The staff and sales people are very attentive.our sales man huntter gets a five star rating,he was so knowledgeable and connected us to our best appliance for our needs. The delivery gentlemen were professional and concerned about the merchandise and our property. I will use this company for further needs. Highly recommended.
We walked into the store around 7:20pm on a Monday. This was the third day in a row we visited this particular store and wanted to take one last look at the furniture we were going to purchase. A very rude gentleman that was mid age with glasses and dark hair informed us they close in 5 minutes. We said the sign said 8pm and apologized. As I walked he stated we are closing soon and I want to go homeI was taken back. Every visit this weekend we have been in this particular store we have had the most amazing customer service. A very nice woman gave us her card the first day and helped us so much which is why I added a second star.....this woman actually should get 5 plus stars. The employees tonight.....the male in particular.....ruined our experience. I plan on being in touch with the extremely helpful woman tomorrow to order our furniture (with using her business card she graciously provided us)Furniture shopping should be a stress-free and exciting experience. This gentleman sure did ruin that for us.
Went to get new washer and dryer. I had already done my research. Andrew D. Was very nice and showed us all the features how to set them up. He wasnt pushy and answered all our questions. They had them in stock abd we could picked them up that day. We also looked at bed frames another guy checked if the one we were interested in as in stock we werent ready to buy but he put everything in the system and they hold that price for 30 days which is pretty cool so we can shop around before we buy. In and out in 30 minutes.
I would never buy from Appliance Center. They way they treat their employees is shameful. After 37 years of faithful service, they let go a very hard working man named Jeff Podgorski without warning and would not provide a reason. My family has purchased tens of thousands of dollars from AC and we will never do business with them again. Disgusting. Do better, Appliance Center.
We have dealt with Appliance Center for over 50 years and have never had a bad experience. The recent purchase of an LG dishwasher was no exception. Selection and purchase went smoothly and Cameron’s delivery and installation was seamless. He did his job quickly and professionally and explained the appliance fully.
Very impressed with the service department. I brought in what I thought was a bad heating element from my dryer, prepared to buy the $90 replacement. Instead of selling me what I asked for, they tested the fuse and thermostat on my part and told me that was all that needed to be replaced. I don’t know of another store that still provides that kind of service. I’ll be spending my money there the next time I need to make a big purchase.
We have Beko appliances from AC that we purchased with our house. As the house was newly remodeled, the previous owner gave us all the warranty documentation, etc.A little while after moving in, we realized that are hardwood floors were warping in front of the dish washer and upon further inspection, it was because the ice maker assembly was leaking.I called AC (the local Toledo company) and I was told that I need to contact the manufacturer and get a service order number. Despite being rather frustrated, I did so and provided it. The tech came out, looked at it and said that a new assembly would be needed. That was last October.After about 6 weeks, and several calls to AC service (without calls back) one one of my follow up calls I was told that the part had just come in and they schedule a tech to come out. The tech replaced the part and left.A couple days later we opened our freezer to see one huge block of ice in our ice bin. We dumped the ice, and put it back in case it was a fluke from the service. The next day, sure enough, one gigantic ice block.So after calling back to AC and scheduling another service call, the tech came out and after some inspection, found that there was still tape on some of the water outlets that were not removed after testing at the factory. While he was inspecting our freezer, I noticed that the ice cube tray assembly in the ice maker was cracked. The tech agreed that in addition to the tape, that was the reason why the ice bin filled with ice as the water simply poured right through. This was Dec 30th.So, the tech said that the assembly would have to be ordered. (he also said that Beko was really slow and it would be several weeks)So today (2/22/2021) I called back to check the status as I never heard any follow up only to be told that the service dept had our case marked as closed so nothing had been done. I asked to speak with a manager, but there wasnt one available. They are supposed to call me back, but I doubt they will because they havent the other two times I have requested that a manager call me.I honestly have no idea what has happened to Appliance Center, but they have seriously fallen off the deep end with customer service at an all time low.Being a Toledo native, it is disappointing to see a local company that has completely lost their way.....Regretfully, I recommend that the next time you need any sort of appliance or other equipment that AC sells, you try anywhere else. I know that me, my family, and my extended family all will be.
My sales man Chuck failed at doing his job on many levels....Except one...collecting his commission!!I Would never spend another dime thereIn response....I bought fridge 4 months ago...its now being resolved by upper management due to salesman not following through on his promise to order new one. No new one, but at least its being repaired. The stove on other hand was a very dangerous oversight of salesman and could of had a much worse outcome!
Checked the Appliance Center website for product availability and saw that they had a grill in stock. Visited the Monroe Street store only to find that they didnt have any grills at all and we needed to visit the Maumee store. It would have been nice for the online store to say where the item was in stock.
It was my first time buying some from The Appliance Center. It went great. However I want to state the Ned and Travis the delivery team did a great job as I was concerned about getting the washer and dryer on the second floor. They did it seamlessly and would request them by name next time. They did great work!
Bought an 800 dollar washer with the understanding that it would be delivered in 2 days. No, they dropped the ball. Somehow incorrect date entered. Salesman made it sound like it was my fault. Spoke with a manager and it was stated that he would make an exception and have it delivered in a few days. Then they called the warehouse and checked for delivery to do me a favor and get it delivered on the date it was promised. No, they were all busy. We live a around 40 miles away. The manager offered 5% ( which is the delivery price) off if i gave up my Saturday to drive down and get it from the warehouse. I explained we had plans today after the washer came. He then stated well we can just cancel the order. So we did. Tried to make it sound like they were doing me a favor. Ill do you a favor and never step foot in your store again. Bought the same one from the new appliance store in Wauseon. They were happy to get our business. Delivered no charge, same price for machine. However, this one came with good service. Maybe they should look down the road at the Andersons and see the writing on the wall. Sad. Bought quite a few appliances from the Appliance center. No more.If you had made every effort to correct YOUR error, you would have delivered the washer, as promised on the date you said you would. Not, hey, Ill do you a favor and bend our rules and deliver it sometime next week. If you dont want to hear profanity and get yelled at, dont screw up Drew. Do you job well, serve the customer, and dont bite the hand that feeds you. It may bite back. Nice post. Almost made me sad. Sorry I hurt your feeling princess.
This review is about their repair service, or lack thereof.Over the years we have bought several things from Appliance Center from a freezer to laundry appliances to a recliner. Salesmen have been great. Products have been great. That is not the problem. I will NEVER use their repair services again. I called them because our washer had overflowed several times, but not every time. I called on a Monday and it took five days for someone to come out which meant no clean laundry for awhile. The repairman came out on a Friday afternoon, filled the washer half full of water and determined we were using too much soap and/or filling the washer too full. Okay. So we used less soap and half loads and it still overflowed. He had said we could call him back at no additional charge if it didn’t work but why would I want more of that kind of service? Frustrated, the following Monday I called Ace Appliance Repair. They came out the same day. He spent time on it and in less than 10 minutes, determined a hose was almost completely blocked. I now know that if I ever buy anything from AC again I definitely do not need an extended warranty. If there’s a problem, I’ll just call Ace. AC- you need more proficient repairmen. This was more than two months ago and the washer has worked great since then. As I said before, never again.
My wife and I bought a sectional couch and dishwasher a month and a half ago, when the couch was delivered it didn’t fit together properly. We had a service tech come out and try to explain how it could be fixed, but a new couch was recommended by the tech.Three weeks of messages to management went unreturned, and we still don’t have our new couch delivered to us, though we received a message three weeks ago that it was in the store.Once I mentioned that this had gone on long enough and I was going to leave a google review, the delivery was scheduled within ten minutes.Amazing that some companies only follow through when forced too. My wife and I will take our business (and her corporate business) elsewhere in the future and encourage you to do the same.
We had 4 appliances all develop issues at the same time this year. We dealt with Appliance Center for Repair Service, Sales, and Installation Service. All 3 departments were absolutely excellent. Peter from repair did an awesome, professional job to repair a Dryer and a Refrigerator/Freezer. We replaced both a Washing Machine (an Electrolux which we love!) and a Dishwasher (Whirlpool made in USA). Both were purchased at a very reasonable price and installed by the service department perfectly. Highly recommend Appliance Center. All their employees are very knowledgeable and professional!
Dora was my sales person and from start to finish was AMAZING! She helped me pick the perfect accessories to go with my room without ever seeing it. I told her my colors and we went from there. Micki in kitchen design was fantastic and helped us figure out how to get our microwave mounted above our weird stove! The delivery guys just left and went above and beyond to get the furniture through our narrow doorways. I could not be happier with my experience with Appliance Center!!
Morgan took my order over the phone and was extremely helpful. Then I needed to change the delivery date, and the person I spoke with was courteous and helpful. The delivery was on time and the delivery people were also courteous and helpful. It was an entirely positive experience and I will shop at Appliance Center again!
Found both the salesperson and installer were very professional, friendly and knowledgeable. Both helped us to navigate through problems which could have been significant, but with their assistance they became minor. Appliance Centers extended warranty becomes a store rebate when or if not used by end of warranty period. For us, this made our decision to purchase from Appliance Center much easier and more economical.
The only reason I gave them one star is because you cant give 0. We purchased a new house and was going shopping for furniture, a lot may I add and I received the WORST service. If you go there do NOT work with Hollis or the manager there. We were in the need of a couch, mattress, bed, dressor, night stands, and more. Hollis was very rude, unprofessional and not personable at all. She stated there were no deals or discounts she could give us and was only worried about her commission on the sale of the many items we were looking at purchasing. She never guided us to any other deals nor tried to help us in any way, it was her way or the highway and she definitely showed that. We were about to leave the store when I saw Mary who sold me my last sectional and had the best interaction with. We started talking to her to see what she could do for us and Hollis saw this and hid behind a plant to see what we were doing and saying. Then when we were showing Mary what we were looking at and both Hollis and the heavy set male manager were watching our every move and staring at us the entire time. We then went around the corner to get away from them, they proceeded to call Mary and let her know that Hollis was previously working with us if thats what you call it while we were standing right there. Mary was so embarrassed at their motives and the way they handled things and I dont blame her one bit. This was the worst customer service Ive experienced and the way Hollis and the manager was acting was so ridiculous that I will NEVER step foot in that store and I will warn every person I know NOT to go there. PLEASE DO NOT GO TO THIS STORE especially if you have to work with either Hollis or the manager as they are so unprofessional and rude.**update: management stated they back their employees, well maybe most of them but I wouldnt be backing employees hiding behind things to hear what we were saying to another employee or calling an employee while the customer was standing there. It was very unprofessional and if I were you would be embarrassed by the way they acted. I wouldnt be backing that type of behavior

Came with electric stove and mentioned that would not work for me, so he quickly found a gas stove to match the rest of the appliances. He was quite generous with changing the stove. the delivery crew were awesome and the installation. just a little debacle with delivery plan due to 2 delivery times 2 appliances at a time.
The delivery techs, Mike W. and Andrew did a wonderful job removing an old refrigerator and installing a new one. They were very careful and respectful not to harm any of the surroundings. They arrived on time, cleaned up nicely, explained refrigerator/freezer features to me. I was very pleased with their professionalism.
We were in the process of moving into our new home, which had every appliance needed except a washer and dryer. We were assisted by Dennis, one of the Appliance Center sales associates, nick named Dennis the Menace, but he was everything but a menace for us. Dennis showed us a number of different models, and was able to provide the details on every one, including the pros and cons of each model. We are very happy with the matching bright red LG models we selected. The entire purchase experience was a very positive one, and I would recommend the Appliance Center to anyone looking for great products, at fair prices, demonstrated by experienced and educated sales staff.
Good selection and attentive staff, though they are a bit too eager for my taste. Each staff member wants to help and they tend to linger while you try to concentrate on your browsing and talking with who you went to the store with. You will find appliances, TVs, furniture and more throughout a sprawling building. Discounted items are available next door if you are willing to buy less than pristine items.
I have shopped at Appliance center several times. The staff there are very nice people. They take the time to take great care of you and answer any questions you may have. They are not pushy when it comes to sales and are there for you but not walking right behind you every step. They give you all the time and space thats needed. The furniture and accessories are wonderful pieces. Ive bought several pieces. If you were to ever have a problem they stand behind their furniture and accessories 100 percent!! I will not shop anywhere else. I dont believe the satisfaction is out there today. Especially what you recieved from Appliance Center!!
Chuck N. was a pleasure to deal with. He asked what we were looking for and was able to suggest quality products that would meet our needs. I was also very impressed with Appliance Centers extremely reasonable prices. We were able to get an entire house (fridge, convection oven, micro, dishwasher, and washer/gas dryer) for $1,000 under what we originally budgeted. Extremely impressed with the customer service and I know my husband and I will be long time shoppers at Appliance Center.
We have had some mixed success with Appliance Center in the past, so the truth is we groaned when learning they were the servicers of our refrigerators service plan. However, this experience was so positive that we will not hesitate to go back to them whenever we need something they can do in the future. Our technician (Brian R.) was on time, knowledgeable, had an excellent ability to explain both the problem and the solution, and was extremely professional. The problem is now solved, and our confidence in Appliance Center restored.
Appliance Center has been my GO TO store for anything appliance-related. The best value, most knowledgeable staff and awesome finance options. I dont even bother shopping around - Ive bought my last 2 washer/dryer sets here and Ive been completely satisfied with both. The Appliance Center is an easy recommendation.
I bought a Tempur-pedic. bed here. The sales girl was evasive to my questions about the return policy. When I called Tempur-pedic they said there was a 90 day return window but I missed it. They also said they do not guarantee comfort. The mattress has to be broken. For $7k I expected to be able to not wake up with pain
Ordered stove over 2 months ago (11/9), was told would be in first part of December. No call whatsoever in all that time, had to call myself, only to find out its STILL not in. Customer svc rep could care less, like oh well, its not in, no apology, just shut up and wait. Could have saved myself aggravation by buying from HD, and wouldnt have had to pay for delivery (50$)either, no good deed goes unpunished for trying to buy local.
My wife and I just purchased ALL new kitchen appliances at the Appliance Center. We had an awful experience there before our most recent visit and had said we would never shop there again. It had been a long time since and thought we would give them one last shot. We were very pleased with our saleswoman, Morgan. When we told her what we were looking for, she knew exactly what to show us and made sure that we got the best prices in town. She made our experience one of best, very easy. We will soon be needing new living room furniture and thanks to Morgan, we will be taking our business back to AC. We look forward to shopping local again!
Never again! Made purchase 11/18/2018. Within 30 minutes after signing it was noticed on receipt an overcharge of $50. Notified sales clerk immediately and she stated she corrected it on their end and I was given amount to be returned due to clerk entering incorrect amount. The money was deducted from account the next 19th. Daily checks on the account as of today 11/26 still shows no refund of overcharge. Called 11/25 and rep advised me it takes 7-10 business days and since had holiday would take longer. A call today to store and the rep advises me that the money owed from overcharge does NOT get processed until taking possession! You overcharge me and you keep my money. I clarified with rep that if it took a month to have actual possession it still is not processed to be returned to the account until actual possession- she stated that is correct.There is no option for zero ratingUpdate- finally received my money from this store on day 10- make sure your salesperson hits the right keys or you wait til time of possession to get that correction money back and from other reviews I see on here it takes some orders 2 months to receive. This is the first store I have ever had to wait more than 1 or 2 days to see money returned to my account when it was a clerical error on the stores part.

The primary reasons I decided to purchase from AC long ago was price, product availability and customer service. Over the years, AC has grown in size and expanded their product offerings. I love how helpful their sales staff has been over the years — and they just seem to be getting better! It is a great feeling to patronize a local NW Ohio business. To be perfectly honest, I cannot say enough good things about all aspects of purchasing at Appliance Center. In fact, I just bought a new refrigerator, dishwasher, speed oven, and cook-top for my kitchen remodel. “Design Queen” Julie at the Maumee location was fantastic. I always do price comparisons and the AC pricing meets or beats the Big Box stores. To anyone looking for appliances and furniture, I wholeheartedly recommend Appliance Center. I shall continue to patronize them.
Great place! I cant believe the variety of products these people sell and the ultra-low prices they sell for. They also sell everything! I went in to get a washer and dryer, then saw the floor tile for a lower price then I had already paid at a flooring shop. On the way out, I also noticed a grill I was looking at (also lower priced). Luckily, I had not purchased that yet!Sales process is super easy too. Highly recommend!
UNPROFESSIONAL and a joke.We came in in February looking for furniture because we’re redoing our entire first floor. Rose helped us on our multiple trips to the store and she was decent.. We ended up placing an order and was told that it would be anywhere from 6-10 weeks. Although it seemed like a large window of time, it wasn’t a big deal because we were still choosing other pieces and waiting on carpet. So, now it’s April. Two, almost three, months have gone by, and no furniture. We went into the store to check on the location of our order and conveniently, Rose wasn’t there. We talked to other employees who could not even find our order in the system and was told Rose would look into it and call us back as soon as she could. A week later, she calls us back to say that the item we ordered can’t be ordered through Appliance Center. Really? We ordered it almost three months ago, have been making payments on it. We even called the store multiple times in those three months asking for Rose and she NEVER got back to us. Finally after going in we get her to talk. How could this place place an order and take a customers money and all of a sudden, can’t supply the product? How long did they know before calling us? Doesn’t add up. I seriously wonder if I would have ever been told that the order couldn’t be placed if I never went in. Seriously disgusted with the customer service and way they do business here. Will not ever buy from or recommend again.
If I could rate it a 0 I would. We had a service guy come out and look at our dishwasher he was here 4 mins and told us that it was the control panel. So I went out and bought one and it was not the problem. I call the store and tell them the guy that came out was wrong. So I told them that they need to come out and look at it again. They told me that I would have to pay for another service call again and I told them no. And wanted to talk to a manger. Here we are 2 weeks later and no manger called me back. So I called again and she said we will send another guy out. Why cant I talk to a manger of this place. The guy that was here never pulled out any tools my wife told him that her husband replaced the drain pump and thats when he said it was the control panel. I will never use them again. They need new management that will return a call.
Although we got a decent price on the products we purchased, I was told I could have delivery early today. I got a call last evening saying that it would be between 3 and 6 PM. When I told the receptionist on the phone that I was promised an early delivery, she got the salesman who was rather abrasive. I did not get my delivery early as I was promised and had to cancel my plans for the afternoon. I guess they will promise you anything to get your money and then break the promises. I wonder what other things they lied to me about. Appliance center has gotten $8K from me in the last month. I wanted to buy local. I will explore other options for future purchases.
Appliance Center isnt living up to their name. Neither is Speed Queen. I called Saturday because my top load washer would not unlock with soiled clothes in there. I spoke to Gavin and he was polite. He told me a service man isnt available until Tuesday from 11-2. After I hung up I realized I cant take off of work and sit here for 3 hours. So I called back yesterday and asked for a manager to talk about the service coming Tuesday and about my washer not properly washing anything. The woman said John would be calling back. Its been two days and no call back. 📵 Where is the customer service?? Not too mention, being on hold for several minutes before getting a human.
We LOVE appliance center.. We have purchased living room furniture, a freezer, stove and refrigerator even a new mattress! We had issues with the mattress but our issue was taken care of immediately and a new mattress was brought out. The delivery guys have always been great too. We recommend appliance center to everyone. 😘
I visited the appliance center on Black Friday in order to shop for a new dishwasher. Given that it was Black Friday, I understood that there might be delays. I was acknowledged and assured that someone would be available to assist me after about ten minutes. No issues there, I did my research beforehand and appreciate a little independence after I walk into a store to browse. After another ten minutes, I was told that someone would be around to help shortly, but that never happened. The representative who told me this was wrapped up with other customers, who seemed to have quite a few questions. This was fine, but the store didnt seem particularly busy and it seems that someone else couldve been asked to help. Im pretty understanding and flexible, particularly given the fact that it was black friday, but it wasnt that busy, and after 40 minutes without assistance, I decided to leave. Appliance center seems to have generally positive reviews and this was likely a situational thing, but given that this was my first experience there, I probably wont be going back.
Our freezer died & Appliance Center service came to check it out. It was going to cost approximately $400 for parts & labor so we decided to purchase a new one as ours was 10 years old. We went the same night to the store on Monroe St in Sylvania & purchased a new one for $497. This was a Thursday night & it was delivered on Saturday morning & they took the old one away. We’re very happy with the service we received.
DO NOT USE! Bought a washer and dryer - was told it would be ready for delivery in 7-9 days. On day 10, still nothing - called and given run around. On day 12 at 2:30pm was called and said it was in. Said great, I am here when will the truck be out today with it? Was told they dont do same day delivery unless it is a refrigerator..... even after being told 7-9 days and it was only 2:30pm on day 12. They came on day 13 to deliver, the delivery man took the protective plastic off before moving appliances off the truck and installing and the dryer now has a huge scratch. After asking about why the plastic was removed and pointing out the scratch was told nothing could be done. The washer was supposed to include the lines and be hooked up during installation: at first delivery man said it didnt come with any. After calling, they said it was supposed to and magically he found them and installed them. We checked after he installed them - he put cold to hot and hot to cold.... Completely incompetent installation, very poor customer service via phone, scratched appliance, poor communication, and does not uphold promised delivery dates! Will never use again!
My husband and I have been dealing with Appliance center for Months. We had spoke personally on the phone with some douche named BK who sent out several service men who clearly had no idea what they were doing, then Finally they sent a guy named Matt out. He was knowledgeable, smart, and had great customer service. And finally our fridge was fixed!!! We were soooooooo happy! Now we need help with our microwave and they tell us Matt has left the company! We will not be using there service. We will find you Matt!! Where ever you went, we will follow!!
I have pretty much been very satisfied with Appliance Center but it took them over 3 months to get me my table and chairs this last order. They did me right by offering me free delivery and knocked 50.00 off the price so that was fine with me. They have nice stuff and I will return for more items in the near future.

Very friendly, helpful service! From the greeter at the door, to the sales person and woman behind the desk. Great experience. Delivery men were very helpful, although would be nice if they new more about the electronics. Bought a smart tv and had some questions, and were unable to answer them. That would be my ONLY complaint of an otherwise wonderful experience. Great prices and quality for the price.
DO NOT and I repeat DO NOT purchase anything from the Appliance Center. They treat their customers horribly. My husband and I are in the process of totally remodeling our kitchen. We purposely sought out local companies to build and buy our cabinets, flooring, and appliances from. We had no issues with the cabinet and flooring companies. However, we ordered a Whirlpool refrigerator, range, microwave, and dishwasher from Appliance Center on April 26, 2017. It is now June 20, 2017 and we are still waiting on the refrigerator. The manager just called my husband and told him the refrigerator would not be delivered until after July 4, 2017 when it has been promised to us several times already. We have been without a refrigerator for almost 3 months. We have been eating out 3 meals a day. What I had hoped to save on the cost of appliances, I have far exceeded in eating out. I could have purchased a SubZero refrigerator for all the money we have spent. The next time I will forget about shopping locally and buying American made. I will shop at the Big Box stores and buy Chinese or Korean products. I would never recommend Appliance Center to anyone.
Horrible customer service. Mary-Ann doesn’t call her customers back and Jeff needs some more training with customer service over the phone (lesson 1. Don’t hang up on a customer). This is the first time we’ve shopped and bought furniture here and we’ll never be back. “Over promise and under deliver... if it ever gets delivered” should be their slogan. I would recommend you shop elsewhere if you value the service and integrity of a business because they’re both lacking from this place.
I was looking for a kids chair for my daughter so I checked out the site. I loved what they had and found out they had an even bigger selection in the store. We ended up buying my daughter a bright green recliner chair and she absolutely loves it. She does everything in this chair. The staff was great in showing us the available models available. So glad for the service and products from appliance center.

We did a lot of shopping around and chose to get our new kitchen appliances from Appliance Center because of their large selection and price.After physically viewing various brands and styles, all of which were at Appliance Center, we decided on a suite of LG appliances. We then compared prices both locally and on line and found that Appliance Center had the best combined prices available.While we found prices on 2 items of $25 less, the costs to ship were more than that difference.We also loved the service, whether in person or on the phone, and that we could support a local company.We definitely recommend Appliance Center.
Dont be mislead by the name... the Appliance Center offers so much more than appliances. Ive purchased a mattress set and beautiful luxury tile from them so far. Nice furniture, appliances, electronics, flooring, cabinets, etc... all to see in one location... so much variety, if I owned the store, Id consider a name change! Check them out.
Walked into the store and was greeted immediately. Two ladies helped me with mattress products and pillows. I was checked out quickly and my mattress was delivered on scheduled date! I am happy with our mattress and pillows and will look to shop with them again.Thank you Appliance Center Staff
We were checking on replacing the appliances for our kitchen. After shopping around, we have always ended up at Appliance Center........actually since they were first in business !! Always, very helpful, with good pricing and taking time to answer any questions. Today, Josh W. brought and installed some of our appliances. What a kind and respectful young man.......sure took care of everything he did to make the experience easy for us !! This employee certainly is an asset to Appliance Center and all and all........from beginning to end.....5 stars !!
Complete Viking kitchen, service was horrendous. Just as stated by others here no return calls, the customer must pursue appliance center. Management doesnt manage however they sure talk in a patronizing manner to the customer!They stress in every conversation we have been in business 50 years who cares when now in 2017 they treat customers poorly! They sent our appliances out on a dolly not big enough to handle the fridge. Well they dropped it and scratched the top piece. Declined to put the legs on a 350 lb range until I called the store. No replacement part yet even though we were told it would be delivered promptly. Delivery came out again for pieces on another appliance and no fridge part! The manager left one vmail havent heard anything back yet!! We have been at this for over a month now. Called Viking directly not sure it does any good. Would never buy another thing from appliance center. Since they are the only ones in the area selling Viking they obviously take that as a license to be rude and disrespectful. Their new manager? BK is not a manager rude and nasty. Stay away from this store!!!
I spent a great amount of money for washer & dryer, dining room set and theater lounge sofa. My dining room set came in boxes. The drivers were gonna leave them because no one told me there would be an additional cost to set up. They called the store and was given permission to set it up at no additional fee. So I did appreciate that I didnt have to worry about how to set it up.
Be careful when you shop here. I made a purchase and used my BrandSource card (the Appliance Center credit card). I found what I bought cheaper at Home Depot, with free delivery and cancelled the purchase the same day. I am still being billed by BrandSource. When I called Appliance Center I was told I am responsible for disputing my bill with BrandSource since they have paid off my account with BrandSource. I was told Heather would call me, but she hasnt. I have never heard of such a practice. You would think Appliance Center would notify BrandSource that I shouldnt have a balance.UPDATE - not sure how it happened, but my BrandSource account is now $0.00. Maybe the woman I spoke with at AC was wrong, and they do notify BrandSource if a purchase is returned or cancelled. Not sure I will use that card again.
I shopped online and picked a sleeper sofa out and ordered it. I received a call from Melissa who told me the price online was wrong and they would not honor that price and wanted me to pay almost double the price. I have a screenshot of the price and an order confirmation with the price that is lower. She asked a manager and he told her he would not honor the price. False advertisement.

We recently needed a new microwave. We went to our usual place, Appliance Center on Illinois in Maumee, OH. They NEVER LET US DOWN!!!! The sales lady was very knowledgeable on the microwaves. She was able to zero in on exactly what we needed and wanted. We had it delivered, installed and the old one taken away!!!!! I highly recommend them!!!! We will go there again when we need a new appliance.
We initially bought a refrigerator that was too small and ask them to pick it up. They agreed to that and in the meantime we bought a larger refrigerator to fill the space. When we got it at the house it was just a little too large and the drawers would not pull all the way out. And then they willingly agreed to take that refrigerator back also and give us credit for both refrigerators. They were very accommodating to our situation.
Brian and Frank were friendly as they installed my dishwasher. They introduced themselves immediately. They were knowledgeable and efficient. However, after they left, I noticed a very tiny knick on the top of the handle. I called Appliance Center, expecting them to send someone out to look at it. Instead Jules said she would order a new door. Not sure how long it will take, since it is white. It has been a week, so hopefully it will be soon.
All was fine except for my delivery time and those delivery guys need to be better supplied. They dont have enough tools to do their job. Good thing I was in the trades and have all the tools. They were nice boys though and getting down my stairway isnt the easiest thing to do.Still would have given five stars if they could work out their delivery window a little better
I most definitely would recommend Appliance Center to all of my friends, family and clients. And already have!We built a new home and purchased all of our appliances from Appliance Center. All of them were LG appliances; a washer & dryer set, refrigerator, slide in oven, dishwasher and a small Haier chest freezer.The entire staff from sales to purchasing to general manager interaction to delivery to customer service and repair were all friendly and helpful. Appliance Center went so far as to replacing my washer because it was damaged by our security system company within two weeks of delivery. The damage was not even the problem of Appliance Center, but they took the extra steps to talk to LG and LG said to just exchange the damaged washer for a brand new one!Appliance Center is amazing and we will never purchase appliances any place else!! We are planning on purchasing all of our new furniture and electronics there as soon as our home is complete!!!Thank You Appliance Center!!!

I am unhappy with the service department and the service I have received so far. I had my washer break down on me on March 24. I contacted the manufacture of the company myself before I even contacted appliance center after I figured out what the error code was I contacted appliance center which was on the same day to start a claim, at that time I let them know it was a e-32 code and that was the water pressure sensor. I was then contacted on Monday by the warrantee company and then on Tuesday March 26 by appliance center service dept. to schedule a service appointment.I was told the soonest I could get a service person was a full week later. I asked if they had anything sooner and was told no that was the best that could be done. So I made sure to remind the service department that it was a e 32 error code and that was a water pressure sensor code. By doing this and having a appointment a week later I figured the service man should of been able to bring a water pressure sensor with him and the problem could of been taken care of... Well the service man just left my house and he did not have a water pressure sensor with him nor did he have anything to actually fix the problem. He stated he would order the sensor and it would be another 3-5 days to get the sensor and then I would be called to get it fixed at that time. Your service man was VERY Professional and did his job in a timely manner. I find it unacceptable for my washer to still be broken when the part could of been ordered in the initial waiting week, Not only am I down a washer still but I think it is a complete waste of money on your part to have to make two service calls to someones house that gave you the problem on the phone!!! This is unacceptable in my opinion...
I went in to Appliance Center knowing that I needed to purchase a washing machine. I was greeted by a sales person who showed me three machines available in my price range. She explained the unique features of each machine and NEVER tried to sell me a more expensive model. They delivered my washing machine the very next day, hooked it up and hauled the old machine away. You cant beat the service!
Lyn was absolutely AMAZING in helping us buy new furniture as we are heading into adult matching furniture! 😬 She thought of every single detail and asked so many questions so we could get exactly what we wanted. We have gotten ALL of our appliances now ALL of our furniture here. Love supporting local businesses, so this was a win/win!
We love to support local businesses. We have purchased most of our major appliances from Appliance Center. The staff is friendly and very helpful. They arent pushy and allow you to shop without constantly nagging you. The price is great and the delivery is fast! Definitiely recommend to anyone looking for appliances, household goods, electronics and furniture!
Writing this as my delivery takes place....1/2 hour late to start. One crew member must have been having a bad day or something. Heard the F-bomb drop a few times in the house. Not very professional in that aspect. Finally got my fridge after 3 weeks from order date. Hooked up and tested new washer. Hope these appliances dont have issues. The wife says never Appliance Center again.
Recently bought a Refrigerator from Appliance Center. The sales group were courteous and helpful and found exactly what I wanted. The delivery boys were efficient, and left my house with all the packing material. Ive bought all my appliances from Appliance Center and intend to shop for furniture the next time I need some. I highly recommend this place.
No salesperson..someone finally saw us and went and got a saleslady who was less than enthusiastic to wait on us .. mostly high end appliances and charge for delivery even 5 miles away...left... went home ordered same fridge on line from Lowes $ 40 bucks less & no delivery charge will have in 3 days..
We bought a mattress from here at the beginning of July, and it was to be delivered today, July 23rd. We called to see what time and was told they wouldnt bring it to us until August 13th. I asked why and was told they scheduled it that way. After complaints to multiple people I was told 2 times by 2 different people that it would be today. They just called and told me now it wont be till next week sometime. They cant even tell me a damn day. Horrible service!!!! I wouldnt suggest this place to my worst enemy. Offer absolutely nothing but the worst service possible. We are in the looking for all new basement, living room and kitchen sets. Also wanting all new for 3 kids bedrooms. Guess what store lost that sale!!!!! Notice by what is here that #1 this type of service seems normal, wish we wouldve checked first and #2, no response from anyone at the store. That makes it evident that they could care less about anything but the money coming in and nothing else.
We have purchased every appliance, as well as furniture now, from Appliance Center. We always get a great price, a wonderful product and good service. We have tried other places in the past like ABC and Highland, but we have never had genuine service like we do at AC.
My wife and I came in this past Saturday to look at Washers, Dryers, and Recliners. When we walked in 1 person said hi, then we proceeded to walk around and look. Our entire time there not one salesperson asked us if we needed help or even attemped to.Toward the end of the visit I even walked past the desk where there was probably 6-8 employees talking to each other, but not one offered help us.We had questions about washers and dryers and wanted to check out recliners that had massage and heat but the half hour ride from Point Place and the 30 minutes we shopped there was a waste of our time.We also wanted to look at the Outlet Store but they were closed already, the website says closes at 8.We did just purchase a Microwave from your Monroe street store and we have purchased a lot of other appliances at your store in the past for the Houses we Flip but after yesterdays visit I will not be wasting my time to visit your business when I can travel 10 minutes to a Lowes or Home Depot and have someone ask to help me.And my wife doesnt want to shop at Monroe street anymore because your sales manager said how good the Eye Candy was at that store in front of her and she said that was very inappropriate and disrespectful.
Saw the signs 2 recliners for 1 price And asked the sales lady if the recliners in the back were 2 for 1 and she told us yes they were. We spent to long finding the right recliner went and got they sales lady and surprise only this one ugly chair is 2 for 1. I dont have time for this nonsense if we would of been told right off I could of got my husband to another store!
We bought a new washing machine. The salesman and purchasing aspect went fine. However, the delivery team broke the cover on a floor drain, and didnt correctly attach the line that drains water out of the washing machine, so the first time we used the washing machine, the drain line came loose and we had water all over the basement floor.
Purchased appliances on the 21st of the month. Fridg not in stock. Scheduled delivery for the fridg and stove on the 31st. They were also suppose to have service bring the microwave and dishwasher on the 31st and install them. I got a robo call on he 30th saying the fridge and stove were being delivered the next day. No call about the service install. I called he morning of the 31St to ask about the service install that was supposed to take place that day. They told me there was some confusion between sales and service and it did not get scheduled. Really, after 10 days our can not coordinate he install. This is why I am only giving them 3 stars
We purchased a new Bosch dishwasher from Appliance Center and had it installed on March 14. This morning I called for service due to an error code for a clogged filter (3 1/2 months into owning this model.) I was told all the techs were in a meeting and they would call me to schedule. 3 hours later no call back so I called them. I was scheduled for a service call by the same girl who answered the phone at 930 for the next day between 3-6. Highly unsatisfied with this dishwasher and the service at appliance center. Never again will I shop here, local or not.
We have been dealing with Appliance Center for eight weekd now on a problem with a purchaseb of over $6700 and still have no resolution.We met with the supposed store manager on June 2 and were promised a call back with a possible solution on June 4. As of this date there has been no call back, even though we have called numerous times leaving our name and number when unable to speak to the manager. It most definitely seems that customer service and problem resolution are not concerns of the Appliance Center.After nine weeks, three with no response at all, we finally received a reply about our problem with a purshase, one of many, from Appliance Center. This reply contained an entirely new description of the events precipitating our problem. We were told that they ( Appliance Center )bear no responsibility for the company they ( Appliance Center ) brought in to produce the product they ( Appliance Center ) sold us. Apparently their ( Appliance Center ) only responsibility was to take our money and then abandon us. When I questioned them (Appliance Center ) on the new version of what happened, the owner, Julie, I was speaking to disconnected me.
Bought a GE gas dryer about a year ago and Appliance Center has been out 6 times to repair it under warranty because it wouldnt heat. Obviously the dryer was defective from GE but Appliance Center saw no reason to just replace it. After the 6th repair visit proved unsuccessful, I pulled it out and replaced it with an LG I bought at Lowes - enough is enough. The Appliance Center fails to realize the only thing that separates them from the big box and online retailers is customer service. Myself and my family feel betrayed after 20 years of being a loyal customer. A $600 dryer has ruined the relationship and I will no longer buy a GE product or anything else from the Appliance Center.
I absolutely love the variety that Appliance Center offers. Between the quality furniture and the appliances, I have been more than happy with all of my purchases. The people who work there are amazing and fair. We are always telling people to shop at Appliance Center!!!
I bought an LG washer and dryer at this store on May 1. I was told it would be delivered May 7. I called the store on May 6 to check to make sure it was going to be delivered on the 7th. I was told it wouldnt be in until Wednesday, May 11. I asked that the person who takes care of the orders call me. The person I talked to said she would. NO CALL. On May 10 I got a call that the washer would be delivered the afternoon of May 11 between 1 and 5. I asked to be called when the delivery was on the way. AGAIN, NO CALL. The delivery just showed up before the scheduled time. It took the guy a long time to get the old appliances out and the new ones in. Then as he left he said, that I had been given an extra set of hoses. I thought that was very unlikely,, and it was. The hoses were for the steam dryer--guy too lazy to install it??? Not a good experience.
Never, ever, buy an Electrolux washer and dryer! My husband and I purchased an Electrolux washer (Model EFLS617SIW) and dryer (EFMG617SIW) from Appliance Center in September of 2016. We have had nothing but problems with them. They didnt work right from the start, and after much frustration, we first had them looked at in April, through Household, a place recommended by Electrolux. The repairman ordered parts for the dryer (new board and switch) but did nothing for the washer. We continued to have problems with both machines and then found out Appliance Center could service Electrolux. After looking at the machines, the repairman made a few adjustments on the dryer and found that the washer also needed new parts! We went to the store and spoke with a manager. We were told to go ahead and have it fixed, and then we could take it to the next level. Well, we had the washer “fixed”, and it’s still not working right!The dryer design is so poor. When drying, clothes come out over the lint trap. The dryer senses that the trap is full, and the machine stops and says “clean lint”. We understand the concept of saving energy, and that the dryer will stop before the set time if the clothes are dry, but the clothes aren’t dry when this happens. It’s very annoying to have it stop every few minutes and have to restart. Also, clothes don’t dry evenly. For example, if I wash a load of towels, some of them will be dry and some still very damp. It doesn’t matter if I do a large load or small, I have the same problem.The washer still shakes and is loud even after being “fixed”. When it spins, it sounds like it’s going to take off. It doesn’t matter if it’s on low, medium or high spin. It all sounds the same. We again contacted the store manager. Apparently taking it to the next level means having them “fixed” yet again. We don’t want to keep having them “fixed”! What happens when the warranty is up? Electrolux denied the claim that we need new machines. We don’t want new Electrolux machines anyway! We want our money back! Electrolux Customer Service is a joke. They just say they are sorry about the problems and understand our frustration. No they don’t.We are so disappointed in these machines. They aren’t even a year old! Our old washer and dryer lasted about 16 years and never needed serviced. We consider these machines to be lemons. We’re tired of dealing with this, and feel that no matter how many times they are fixed, they will never be right.Update 8/16/2017:The washer and dryer were serviced AGAIN by Household because they still don’t work right. I believe this was the 5th repair call. The washer is still loud and shakes, even though the repairman said it was operating normally at the time of service! Normally on what planet??? Now the dryer has started shaking more. It needed yet another new part. The lint trap was missing a seal, so lint was apparently building up underneath. It has been this way all along, but this was the first time anyone noticed it.We spent almost $2000.00 for these useless machines. Yesterday the washer started leaking from the door. I was told this was probably because or a hair. Seriously? A hair? During my last call to Electrolux customer service, the representative had the nerve to suggest we purchase an extended warranty! I told her we wouldn’t spend anymore money on this.If Appliance Center had any integrity at all, they would give us our money back so we can purchase a washer and dryer that actually work like they should.
My family and I have been coming to the Appliance Center since they were located over by the Parkway Plaza and have been a loyal customer since that time. Unfortunately, the small town customer service Chuck Oswald dedicated himself to achieve for many years has fallen by the wayside.My husband and I went to the store last night to order carpet and we were greeted at the door and was told Amy Jo who we had spoken to about the carpet previously was not working. I explained that we know what we want and would like to just place the order. We were told the only person working in that department was Jane and she was with someone and didnt know how long it would be but it could be a while. This was 6:45pm. I said no problem, we will go have dinner and we will be back between 8:00-8:30. We were then told we would need to be back sooner because Jane was only working until 8:00. I said youre opened until 9:00 yet nobody will be here to help us from 8:00-9:00? She said thats right so make sure youre back before 8:00.At this point we walked out and needless to say did not go back before the 8:00 deadline and wont be back.
Have purchased various appliances, TVs, furniture, audio / video products and more for over 30 years and have always been satisfied with their help in selecting the best product, their service of their products, and just over all how friendly they have always been to me and my family. I always recommend The Appliance Center to my friends.
Our appliance purchases were right on schedule. However, we are due a refund of $100 for a dent in our new washer and have not received same as of this date. The only problem we experienced was with the Shaw rep. He mis-measured the square footage so the job was left in an incomplete state until new material was in. He also had down that we were doing a hall which is totally incorrect. We did a kitchen and two bath floors. Finally he told me that the small trim molding on the baseboards had to be removed and I hired someone to do that for us. When the installers arrived they said that all the baseboards needed to be removed. And I heard someone say this guy from Shaw was supposed to be the best! I would hate to see the worst if that is the case.
Once again was lied to about availability.Paid for one half with order and was given a delivery date of yesterday. Called today and was told mid Dec. now. Tried to buy local but they got no pull with suppliers obviously.Why do they alway take deposit and not keep up delivery date?Go to Lowes they dont mess with your delivery scheduals.
Morgan at the Maumee Store and Amanda and Clint at the Monroe Street location all amazing sales reps and people to work with couldnt had asked for a better experience. I purchased some things from the outlet store on Monroe it was all packaged up and loaded very nice and in a timely manner! Casey one of the loaders ensured everything was loaded properly and he I thank you for your business and hope to see you again. As most know this is by no means the greatest job, the fact that Casey took the time at 6:00 pm on a Sunday and had those great words tells me that not only do they have Awesome customer service, but they also have great employees relations and people who truly love what they are doing ! If you in Maumee Stop in and see Morgan, if you go to the Monroe street Appliance Center Living Make sure to ask for Clint or Amanda as you will not be disappointed!
For service, they charge $80 just to drive out to the house and something like $94 minimum for labor charge. Never told us about fees when I set up the appointment. Wrote a letter to president John Oswald, never heard back. Edit - they only respond back to me after I give them a negative review.
We purchased family room furniture at the warehouse sale. The price was great! Delivery was prompt with updates as to their arrival. The men were professional and friendly. The only negative in the experience is that the tags from the manufacturer were removed when it was wrapped and we did not receive them.
We ALWAYS head to appliance Center whenever we need an appliance. We depend on them having the best selection and best prices. But over the years, weve also come to appreciate the very helpful and knowledgeable sales staff and the excellent delivery service. Appliance Center does business right.
By far the worst customer service and technicians we have ever dealt with. The technician who came to our home was rude, unqualified, and had to return more than once and still did not fix our dryer issue. And of course they wanted to charge us for all of the misdiagnosis, headaches, and wasted time. The receptionist was also extremely rude over the phone. Instead of truly listening to our complaints, she tried to speak over us and interrupt us, thus furthering our frustration. Additionally we caught her in several lies that she continued to try to lie her way out of instead of taking ownership of her false accounts. I would never recommend this company and would actually go out of my way to make sure no one else uses them. I hope the owner of the company gets the message.
Salesman was condecending, pushy and rude. He kept trying to talk me into a lesser refrigerator than the one I wanted information on and when I made it clear I wasnt interested in the one he was trying to push he started acting like I was stupid. Even after telling him multiple times that I was only interested in the one I asked about he continued to quote me information for the one I had already told him I did not want. I finally just left. I took pics of the fridge and the model number and will be having it ordered through Home Depot instead.
Purchased major appliance and was told they would price match if lower price was found. Found lower price and they refused to do the match they proceeded to tell me tat if I purchased the item from the other store that no one in the area would service the appliance. Not very professional.
We bought many items from there after we had our house fire. Staff was helpful while we were picking things out and their delivery staff was helpful and careful while they delivered things to our home. They did a wonderful job setting our items in place thanks for all they did for us. We had a great experience Amy and Kerry C.
I love this store, especially the service and delivery. Its been a little while since I have needed anything from them, but still like to look around. Good place to keep up on whats new. I have been coming here for maybe 20 yrs, and still keep coming back. Especially love it since they changed their format and began selling everything else.
Very poor and rude customer service from someone named Heather. Was trying to follow up on month long issue about a broken spring so went in person finally and she has deplorable customer service skills. I finally spoke to Jeff, a Manger and he was so helpful. At that point it wasnt not about the spring being delivered , but about an extremely discourteous employee
My 86 yr. old aunt received a refrigerator from Appliance Center through the Pathway Program.The refrigerator was defective. A repairman came out, looked at it and determined that she needed a replacement.She has been two weeks without a refrigerator!!!!She is 86!!!! Someone should get a new refrigerator to her, ASAP!!!What kind of customer service is that!!!!!
The sales person I had was totally uneducated on the product of the freezer , misinformed me I just had a very bad experience I had to call back cuz she forgot to ask me if I wanted an extended warranty I never thought of it until I came home. the whole experience was bad but Ive been there before and it was great and Im sure it still would be. it was just her and her inexperience and lack of enthusiasm to help and answer my questions..She acted like she just wanted to you left alone and go home
Treat women the same as car dealers. Wife called to ask them about an appointment LG had set up. They told her she didnt know what she was talking about and told her to call lg. Eventually LG was able to get a hold of them and they said they were booked and to look elsewhere for service unless i wanted to wait a month. Thought it was a joke, but no, they were serious. Disappointed to say the least.
I was so glad i came to this store! the salesman were so helpful and the prices are so affordable. i never realized how big the store had gotten. there is no need to go anywhere else! anything you need for your home at one place and at affordable prices. the people there are so nice and polite. i will be a loyal customer from now on....just go there, you will be very glad you did...priss cothran
Dont buy a bed from here. A service rep at the store told me I had 30 days to return a mattress from here if I was not satisfied. I called about 26 days in to see if maybe I had a 90 day return period based on Tempurpedic policy. In reality, the return policy for mattresses is only 7 days which is not enough time to determine whether or not a bed is the right one for your back.I was experiencing lower back pain the first few days using this firm Simmons bed but maybe Id my back would adjust to it. Low and behold Im still having issues and now Im having a neck problem too.Apparently Appliance Center needs a license to sell used beds that havent even been broken in for 30 days. Now Im stuck with an uncomfortable $500 mattress.
I have been in this store for about 20 minutes now walking around. Employees are so busy Ha haing and hee heeing with each other that no one has even asked me if I needed any help. I guess I don’t fit the description of a Woman who is buying! I will take my business somewhere else!!!Akeshia Saxton
After searching online at in stock products and driving to the store we were disappointed to find the things that the website claimed to be in stock were in fact out of stock until mid December. It was also difficult to get help from the staff and they were not very friendly.

2022-02-21From start to finish, this was one of the best customer service experiences I’ve ever had! I needed a new refrigerator, so I stopped in on Friday. They were friendly, helpful, and attentive. They answered all my questions and knew their products well. The prices were also fantastic, especially getting to support local. Subsequent communications over the weekend were professional, polite, and friendly. And then delivery on Monday was quick, courteous, and thoughtful. They let me know in a timely manner when they were on their way; they took out my old refrigerator and put in the new one all in under 30 minutes while keeping their work area clean and protecting my floors. I cannot rave enough about appliance center, and this will be my go-to location for all my future home needs.

2022-04-15Two wonderful experiences here. The first we went to 5 different furniture stores to buy a couch and Appliance Center was the only place with availability. We purchased our couch and it came delivered shortly after. Second, purchased a very nice rocking recliner that perfectly fits our needs! Picked it up from the warehouse that day. Very high quality items with wonderful staff. Made in America furniture is a plus.

2022-05-24We purchased a Speed Queen Washer with a Warranty. Service Department has visited my wife 11 times with a 3 hour window each time, 33+ hours of waiting. Specifically Brian (BK) from service has been very unwilling to acknowledge the challenges that my wife is faced with and after a conversation with him is unwilling to meet with me to resolve the issues face to face outside of his 8:30 - 5:00 PM hours. Very disappointing!Great place to by appliances but hopefully they work great and you never have to deal with the Service Manager

2022-07-02ImpressedBought a new dishwasher from them 6/27/22. Sales staff was friendly, knew about the product I was buying and there was no high pressure sales pitch to get me to by something I did not want. Delivery was that same Friday. Installer was friendly and courteous. He had the old one out and the new on installed in less than an hour. Next year I will be back for some new furniture.

2022-01-23If I could of gave zero stars. I would of the store manager there chuck North is absolutely worthless I paid almost 2500 for a washer dryer set plus delivery. They said they would be there Saturday between 1 to 3. They never showed and they never called to let my daughter know they weren’t coming. She lost a whole days work waiting for her appliances. She is a single mom with 3 kids and needs her money. Then to make matters worse. It been over 24hrs since and still no answer on why my appliances were not delivered like they were supposed to be. Text calls and emails have went unanswered. I would not recommend this store to my worst enemy. Nor will I ever buy anything from here again. It could be the last appliance store around and I would do without before buying from this store ever again

2022-04-10Bad customer experience. I get COVID caused delays in deliveries and manufacturing, however the fact I have to call every month or so to figure out where the recliner I spent ~$1,500 on (including the warranty) is in the process is ridiculous. I cannot count the number of times over the last 13 months (yes, I bought it in March 2021) I have been told next month, well, its been a lot of next months and I never receive call with an update...Highly doubtful I will ever purchase another appliance or product from this company, which is a shame, because I get the delay, I just dont get the lack of customer service, especially when I have asked for it every single time I have called.My washer and dryer, as well as freezer are great, although I still havent received my gift card back for the washer and dryer after the warranty expired.

2022-06-10I recently bought a stove from appliance center Maumee. Once I received the stove the “Hot surface” light would not turn off. I was told by the driver it would turn off. 24 hours later and it’s still on. So I requested service for it, seeing that is was brand new I shouldn’t have any issue. Tech comes out 2 days later & of course doesn’t have what he needs to fix the problem. He orders the part and I am told I should receive it in a week. I actually did receive it so I called Appliance Center back to schedule the repair. The only available day they had was a working day for me, so I called off from work & wait all day for my technician to come out and repair my stove just for no one to show up that day. Appliance center call the next day (after wasting my personal day from work) and tells me I’m waiting on another part to come in. It’s been over a month and my stove still hasn’t been serviced. Now they claim they don’t have any technicians who can look at it unless it’s early in the morning.

2022-02-10I like the people at the store , they will do what the can to get you what ya need . Delivery was ok . I didnt buy a new plug from them so the wouldnt hook up my washer and dryer. Now washer makes noise very loud noise. Called out service tech. He didnt fix the problem . Had no clue how to level a washer . Still making noise . Call my salesman told him to come get it I dont want this noisy machine . Said theyd be out in a few days to get it. That was Wednesday still haven heard when they are coming.. very upsetting 😡
