I was put on a very long hold to place a to-go order for quesadillas. Finally placed order and was told ready for pickup in 25 minutes. I arrived after 30 minutes to learn they had just given my order to the customer ahead of me. I watched her walk out of the restaurant with my food. Had to wait for remake. By this time it was about 12 minutes later (total 42 minutes). Manager sort of boasted that he gave me a 10% discount, which was equivalent to $1. I didnt fuss, but I was extremely disappointed by the service. Food was just okay. Definately wasnt worth going out. Nothing to brag about at all. Quesadillas are easy to make. Next time, Ill just stay home and make my own.
We were staying in a motel. Ordered salad and burger on Uber Eats. Called Applebees to make sure they put plastic ware and napkins. Was assured they would provide. So we get the order. No plastic silverware and even worse, no salad dressing o. The oriental chicken salad!! Nothing like eating a dry salad with my fingers!!!!
Really good cable service because of the busyness of the restaurant but the waitress was really good and Ill stop and think for the most part the bar where you get a drink they can work on that because they have one bartender and weekend to pick you up with the drinks so you cant even get your drink before you know that was kind of a letdown quality and the quantity of food was great my kids loves it there there was little things for the kids to do like doodling and stuff while waiting on meals I havent been to Applebees in a long time so I tried something new and it was delicious and I or definitely
My waitress Neva took 10 minutes to get our drinks and another 40 to get our food to us every other worker had come to our table because they could see that she was not doing her job that she signed up to do and take the responsibility of doing we saw our waitress 3 times the fastest she got to our table was to give us our check.
I just made an on-line order a few minutes ago. I receive it incredibly fast and perfectly done. This place rocks and the manager (John) even made sure that everything was ok . Thanks John, everything was awesome. Today February 14 Im here. As always John and his staff are taking all measures to keep us safe. The environment is great as always and the mixologist did a great job with our cocktails. Im live having a heck of a time. Come say Hello to John, promise you wont be sorry. I give this place a 10 out of 5.
The applebees in Springfield ohio isnt as good as it use to be. You cant even get baked potatoes there nomore and they didnt even cook my whole steak the right way. I dont know why they dont have baked potatoes nomore but people like to be able to have what they want with there steak
We were a party of 7 3 adults and 4 kids. Ordered our drinks and appetizers. Then we asked why it was so dark in our area,(by the table where employees did paper work and where dashers picked up deliveries)told light fixtures were broken. Was not even offered to be moved. Plus one kids meal was delayed by 15 mins after the other 6 meals were received. We paid for our meal. Asked to speak to manager Shianna(?) Who was very rude and said that there wasnt any other place to put us and we would have had to wait another 30 mins. If they knew that the lights were broken why was we put there? She argued with us. She called me a very unprofessional cuss word. We were not very happy when we left.
Where do I start? The service was slow are salad plates set all the edge of the table for probably 15 to 20 minutes while the waitress walked by three or four times. We got the spinach and artichoke dip appetizer and found the cheese be melted on top like its supposed to be but then upon stirring the artichoke dip found it to be ice cold below all that melted cheese. Leave waitress was told about it and we waited 10 more minutes for them to bring it back to us in the same container after they nuked it. Not a freshly-made one or anything like that. My girlfriend and I at 8 6 oz sirloin. While hurts was thick mine was in a pancake fashion and look like it weighed 3 oz. I ordered me four cheese mac and cheese with bacon bits as my side order and instead I got broccoli. The broccoli was Brown and looked very dated. So did my girlfriends broccoli. By this point we fetch the manager of the restaurant and advise him that we would pay for our appetizer and drinks and that we would not be needing any more service. The manager was nice enough 2 forgive the entire bill and we paid $0.00 and left. Not one person working there look like they wanted to be there. Do yourself a favor and Drive by the restaurant on your way through.
Salads were 15 minutes wait. When it did come out the lettuce was wilted and just looked sad. Main dish came out sizzling which is awesome but the underneath of the food was covered in thick char and made it have a burnt taste and it was extremely salty on top of it. I usually go here and have an excellent meal. Service wasnt any better this time that we went. Entrees came out before we ever got our appetizers. Then my salad finally came out it again had wilted lettuce. The waitress wouldnt bother with me and only responded to my husband.
Party of 17 people, they were notified earlier in the day that we were coming in. Food cold, took forever to get food, steaks cooked wrong, both sent back (one twice) finally said forget it didnt want it. Taken off of check but she got a free dessert. Ordered french fries got mashed potatoes, onion rings came AFTER done with cold steak. Had to ask multiple times for lemon for water. Waitress tried hard, no help. Manager finally came over. On a scale of 1-10 definitely a 2. Definitely cant take a big party here. Sad ☹️
We stopped on our way through the area. It was the worst experience my husband and I have ever had at a restaurant. The floors were so sticky and covered with food that my shoes stuck everywhere I walked. Even though we could see several waitresses standing around or sitting at the bar, none approached us to take our drink order until we had been sitting for 15 mins. Some waitresses were sitting with other guests for most of our time in the building while there were tables covered with dirty dishes right next to them. I saw a waitress who didnt wait the table next to us put the cash tip in her pocket. At one point someone put a song on very loud and the waitresses danced to it. We couldnt even have a conversation without shouting. The food took a long time to come out and it looked like it had just gotten thrown on the plates. Would definitely not recommend.
I took my daughter here for her graduation for dine-in. Last time I was here I enjoyed the food and service. This time wasnt good. They just opened, only three other couples in the place, we ordered immediately, after 40 minutes and two glasses of water I approached a waiter and asked for them to make this a to-go order. There was three people in my group, and for the price we paid I could have made a decent meal for six, that would have tasted far better. My mothers salad was bland, my fish was more breading than fish, and my daughters chicken fingers were very dry. I wouldnt recommend this place if you have a taste for quality service and food, I will not be coming back. 🤒
We realize that there is lack of help but we waited over an hour for our food. The poor waiter kept apologizing. Luckily they brought our granddaughters food out at least 45 minutes before ours. Not sure how that happened. The manager brought our food out . after all the wait the fries were cold and my wrap was burnt. Come on .
Stopped in for dinner and although being sat right away, we waited a bit until our server visited the table to take our drink order. The food, when it eventually arrived, looked rushed and fell apart in my hands. The Oriental Chicken Salad Wrap tasted great, though, and was hot and fresh. Just a few corners cut, but Id go back.
Applebees quality and service has not been great the last few times I have been there. In Springfield and in Huber Heights. They leave a lot to be desired. From the cleanliness to the food it was okay at best. Another customer accidentally dropped there ice water with lemons in it and it stayed there until we left at least an hour the manager saw it and every employee literally stepped over it. I dont recommend ever eating here. The food is definitely not what the pictures or commercials represent. The waitress was confused with our orders. We had 8 people and she commented like it was 20 people in our group. She messed our checks up multiple times and still didnt get it right.
A half full bowl of soup is what I got as n when asked if this was a bowl of soup I was told yes..... this was after waiting almost 10 minutes n then had to ask if we had a waitress finally got waited on n this is what I get.... Its sad that these places think they need to be that cheap!!! My last few experiences at any Applebees have not been good..... Went to the one in Olean N.Y. and my Chicken tortilla soup had beef in it, had a few bad experiences at the one in Brooklyn, Ohio from waiting to be seated in an empty restuarant for about 25 minutes ( stayed because Joe n Jason were starved n nothing else was open close to us) bad rude service from the wait staff to the manager on duty to being told they were out of all their soups or them stretching their soups by adding thing to them.or watering them down again Brooklyn, Oh..... needless to say we quit going to that one period but have tried a couple others over time just to continue being disappointed!!!!! Heck still have part of a gift card that I dont know when it will ever be used!! Applebees is diffinately going down hill!!!!
Brought my employees in for lunch. Waited over 40 minutes just for our soups. When the finally brought out our wings they were out of the sauce we ordered and instead of letting us know they coated them in buffalo sauce. We were unable to get any refills and one of my employees found hair in his food. Worst experience ever.
Had to wait over an hour for food which was over cooked and had hair in my shrimp. Our waitress was excellent though she handled herself very well considering all her customers complaints over the wait for food. The manager did make it right for us though by crediting our order after apologizing several times. Our waitress delicia was her name was an exceptional job and who by the way was pregnant. Couldnt have asked for a better waitress will def be asking for her if and when we go back
Ordered 2 new irresist-a-bowls. 1 southwest chicken bowl and 1 crispy orange chicken bowl. Great price! Great tasting and very delicious. Could use some improvement in their car side to go. It takes longer to get your food than they tell you. I had to go inside to get my order that was already made and setting on the shelf.

IT WAS AWFUL!!!! 45 minute wait wasnt even busy sat at the bar because all of the open tables didnt have staff to work so we couldnt get a table the food was terrible my ribs didnt even have any meat on them worst ribs ever never will be back there are plenty of restaurants in town with way better food and WAY better service
They always have great food but were out of advertised drink specials and manager would not substitute during the advertised time frame, for an advertised special. I felt scamed. I went another time and plenty of drink specials and food was decent under different management.
I use to fill like it was just random sites but after visiting more sites in different states Im convinced that it is the whole franchise that is bad. From service, to the kitchen needs a complete overhaul. To think that there was a time that this franchise was my go to place for food and fun. Oh how the mighty have fallen!.
These guys have sure gotten bad. 6 months ago this was a completely different experience. At this point, I will never be back. They dont even start prepaid orders until customers arrive for example. Prepaid was made so customers do not have to go through the entire process every other customer does go through when in the store in person. You should act as if I have officially paid for my order, and will be there when SCHEDULED to pick it up, not 23 minutes later. :From the customer I am placating while picking up her childs Doordash order. Thanks guys, I really needed this.
1 star was generous. I waited 25 minutes past the expected time my food was to be ready to go in carside to go. It was to be brought out and I had to go in twice to see if it was ready because the phone line either kept ringing or I was put on hold instantly when they would answer. When I asked for a manager a lady came out. I said that a refund was in order because of how long we waited. She said she couldnt do that but would give a free drink or dessert. I was so irritated because I dont want other things I have to wait for and those for free didnt come close to covering my $35 meal ticket. We will NEVER BE BACK. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE.
Only Been twice in the last month because I heard they microwave the food which wouldn’t be surprising considering the quality of the food the last few times I’ve been. Against my better judgment I still ended up going twice this month as previously stated, I ordered the same items both occasions and both times the food was cold. This really bothers me because if I would have rather dined in instead of curbside pickup they could have replaced my order.
The sever was very nice but the food part was not great. First of all there were very few people in the dinning area but it took almost 1.5hrs to get our food. Most of the food was not done correctly. When my 3 cheese mac and cheese and honey pepper chicken came out they had the sauce on the side. I had ordered it with extra honey sauce. When I pointed it out to the person who brought it out (not our server) she looked at another table who got my order and said well she Accidently got it but is eating it so Ill just get you more sauce. Then left before I could say anything and never came back. No one came back until it was check time. The pasta was dry and gritty. Was not amused nor satisfied with this level of food service.
Terrible!!! We will not be going back. Service was okay. Not the best by far but okay. Waited forever to get our food. I ordered a Grilled chicken ceaser salad, $11.49 and it was the worst salad I’ve ever had. Looked no bigger than a side salad, no cheese wilted lettuce and hard breadstick! Yet the lady across from me had a salad and hers was 3 x bigger. She even had to take some hone. I would have enjoyed a Wendy’s salad much more. At least they are always fresh. I didn’t complain while in the restaurant since my sister was buying my meal. I didn’t want to seem ungrateful but I did call when I got home and the manager offer a gift. I told definitely don’t want it because we will never go back! Worst dining experience in a long time!!!
Ordered lunch for office using GrubHub. 2 salads came without salad dressing, no dipping sauce provided for the tenders, and no utensils which were expressly requested. Called the manager to complain, he stated sorry, he would speak to his staff. He didnt offer a discount so I asked about one since literally 2 people would not be eating their ordered lunch and I was told sorry, we cant help you when you use a food delivery servicer! Well then perhaps Applebees shouldnt be available on the delivery services. This mistake was the Applebees staff, not the food delivery service. We will not order from them again, nor will we patronize the establishment. Horrible customer service!
Was not happy had to wait for waiter to come back when food was hot one was my family got their meal and I didnt get mine and had to wait more than 8 minutes when everyone eating one no sauces, needed salt, no mayonnaise on sandwiches, stated fries not done when supposed to be with my sandwich and had to wait for everything should not have to wait for mayonnaise for my sandwich stated Ill get it with my fries ok so I am not aloud to eat and had many dishes dirty and cups should have been taken before we got our meal had no place to put anything we used one gift card and got charge for using it and she got mad use wanting to use it and rest was cash it was our money and time spend in restaurant was To long service should have been better
The foods ok the servers are friendly. The assistant manager should be fired! Ive been in there several times and it is great if the General Manager is there. But when the assistant manager all you hear is her yelling and cussing at employees. Its so bad from now on if we plan to dine there I am calling to see who us working because I dont want the kids hearing foul mouth talk like that. Shes deplorable those poor employees I feel so bad for them.
Had a bourbon chicken and shrimp meal and for $27 you should definitely get two sides and an appetizer mashed potatoes for great shrimp was okay the bourbon chicken did it really tastes like bourbon chicken Ive had bourbon chicken in different places before never have I had bourbon chicken that didnt taste like bourbon chicken it just tasted like a grilled chicken. Servers were very nice
Manager was nice enough in getting us a good table but after that, one star is being generous. Sat for 30 minutes without getting a drink order or a passing glance from the waitresses who all seemed to be chatting amongst themselves, or messing around on their phones. Waited 20 more minutes with the call server button flashing, and still no drink/app order, no hello well be right with you or sorry for the wait, itll be just a minute nothing while others were being served. Would not recommend, go elsewhere
Regular spot for me and the family. Love it here except for new gm she is not nice at all. Shouldnt be working with public with her attitude. The last night we was there our waitress quit due to the manager being rude. It happend in front of us. But the service is great and servers are always nice. Bartender knows the drinks and does great.
The bartender/ server Tiffany was a scatterbrain. 4 people at the bar one table with 2 people. Stopped in the middle of taking our order to say goodbye to friends that were leaving. To me unacceptable. Food was good except the coleslaw that had no flavor. Always asking another servers to grab things for her. I could see asking for help if she had been busy. My refill went to 2 other people before reaching me. Not that am afraid of covid-19 or I would of stayed home had she gotten my refill herself she might of remember where it went. My husband had asked for extra tartar all she had to do was go get it once again she wasnt busy but we had to hear how the kitchen doesnt do anything right. Well our food was good it was everything she had to do that was unacceptable. This was at 230 in the afternoon I hate to see how she makes it thru a lunch or supper rush.
Food is not good at all. You get better food from a fast food restaurant. Ordered hamburger well done, it was medium at best. Fries are like cardboard. Ordered DoorDash and they shorted us one entree. Been since Pre-covid since we had Applebees. Wish we would not have tried it.
The place was dirty, there was chips on the floor under our table, our waitress was rude and short with us , didnt even have a pen and paper to take our order when she finally returned with our drinks, waited to get drinks, then sat almost an hour , threatened to leave before we got our appetizers and then our food came out 5 minutes after the appetizer, then waitress was still short and rude with us. Not happy at all
Nice staff... OK, the bartender was really good to me (when you eating alone, it is where you sit). Food was quick, clean, and very good.Update: went back the next night and I agree with most posts. Slow. Poorer service. Staff spent too much time talking to each other on the floor.
Had to wait 20 minutes for seating, though the restaurant was not full. It took us another 20 minutes for a server to take our drink orders. Then another 10 to get the drinks. The food was pretty good, just took forever. We rarely go there, the not so great service is why. Seems like it depends on management, for a couple of months here and there the service is good, then back downhill.
I love the chicken with macaroni and cheese and decent priced drinks. The waitresses do a good job. However, the hostesses never seem to know what is going on. The past few times Ive been there we stood there for over 5 minutes before anyone took our name and that was because I had to ask for them to take it. The time before that I was told it would be a 40 minute wait and it ended up being 10 minutes or less. So the estimated time given out should be reviewed because youre going to lose business that way. Also, there were about 5-6 tables empty that just needed cleaned off that set for about 10 minutes before any of them were touched. I will return, just giving helpful feedback.
I placed an online curbside to go order, got a text confirmation that said to respond here when I got there. I got there a few mins before my time and texted here and it responded my order would be out soon. I waited and waited. Someone elses order was brought out. And I still waited. Until about 15 mins after my time slot. So I called in and they said that since I had a large order (2 bags) that I would need to come in and get it. I guess my 70 dollar order wasnt worth their time bringing out or at least letting me know that they wouldnt bring it out. So I go in and get my bags and leave, then we realize that the dessert was all over the outside of the container and made a mess. Get home and realize that 3 of the 4 burgers had the wrong toppings, all had pink even though we requested no pink. And 2 meals didnt even have the whole meal. Normally love Applebees but I will not be back to this location.
Happy hour appetizers were good. Me and my friend ordered nachos,cheese sticks, and buffalo wings. The wings werent supposed to be boneless as we didnt request that kind. We both ordered mango berry margaritas and took a very long time to get. We both really liked the flavor. The margaritas were very weak especially considering the 7.99 price tag.This coming from someone who drinks maybe 3 times a year. We were told the reason the margaritas were taking so long was because of there only being one blender in the bar which seems ridiculous.
Sarah was a great serverOur food order was well beyond on time. We wound up taking it as a to-go order. We waited well over an hour and the fault was with the chef and cooking staff. Our server apologized many times over and even asked if we would like to speak with the manager. We thought it should be him to come to us and offer us a drink or some sort of compensation for the unnecessary waiting time. However, he never did. The food, once reheated at home was very good.
Got a table pretty fast so that was good. Problems began when the waitress didnt listen to what my son wanted to drink and brought him out the wrong one. Next problem and the biggest issue I have is that my son got his food, 10min later my wife got hers, then about 10min after that I got my food. Ive never been out to anywhere with my family and been served our food separately. The point of going out for a family dinner is to eat together. It might be understandable if we ordered some off the wall meals but we didnt.
Service was ridiculously slow. Never got our salads. Ordered Fiesta Lime Chicken. Came out with burnt edges, no salsa or cheese topping, rice was dried out. Bartender was very kind took care of our bill and offered to remake but after that long a wait we opted to pick through what was edible. Very disappointing.
Just the bestUpdating my review above from 2 years ago because weve had 3 visits that werent great. The most recent being last night. Mozz sticks were so greasy they left a puddle and just fell apart.About a week ago we took our daughter in law for her birthday and were told by the waitress that nobody wanted to come out and sing.A couple weeks before that both mine and my husbands dinners were so bad the manager didnt charge us.With that being said, weve went 3 other times in that timeline with no complaints. I just wish it was more consistent. The food is becoming hit or miss.
We eat at Applebees often and have no issues so far with the food and most of the service. However, I would like a server who knows how to speak up when talking. On our last visit the waitress was extremely soft spoken, we could barely hear her. When I asked her to speak because we couldnt hear her, she responded with, I dont want to yell.Seriously?Why would a manager hire a soft spoken person in a environment where there is Music playing, chatter from other customers and the noise of the restaurant comings and goings?
Seniors::: you have to be careful here as THEY DONT FAIRLY HONOR THEIR ADVERTISED SENIOR DISCOUNT.They only apply it to your dinner plate but not to anything else that you order for yourself like drink, desert ect. Prices are higher than a lot of the best restaurants around. Food was OK, but not great. Had to return some of it and pick another side due to quality.
Absolutely love this place and how far its come over the years. The food is always great and the wait staff is phenomenal. Only had one bad time with one of the waiters. The waiter added a full price appetizer when it was supposed to be part of the 3 for 12 deal. When I mentioned it the waiter got rude. Other than that one occasion I have had a great experience.
Literally the worst experience I’ve ever had in a restaurant. Fairly certain the waitress, “Reanna,” was on drugs with her spacey behavior and horrible customer service. She rarely checked on us, but when she did, she mainly was asking what we were waiting for. Um... drinks, for the past 25 minutes. Appetizers.. until after our food came (and even then, waited 10 mins after our meal for our final appetizer which we never did receive). 2 hours after our arrival we asked the manager “Angel” for our bill. Our waitress had no idea if we had ordered or not. Kept telling us the mozzarella sticks would be up in a “minute”. Took 25 mins after she first told us that. Our appetizers were not half price like they should have been, so had to track her down to fix that. All in all, we had to beg for drinks, beg for lemons, beg for food and appetizers, beg for refills, our food came out on hot plates with hard bread and fries, clearly having been under the heat lamp far too long. My burger had to be sent back because it wasn’t correct. It was clear they removed the tomato lettuce and other unwanted ingredients and brought the same burger back after sitting it under the lamp for approximately 15 minutes. This establishment is worse every single time we go there. Please, save your time and money and find a better restaurant to patronize.
We waited 20 minutes at the table and not one waiter came near us. We didnt even get offered drink. I walked up to the service counter and complained & asked could we please get some service. We waited another 5 minutes & watched another table of 4 get seated and their waiter get them their drinks. I then went back to the service counter and asked for the manager. The manager came out and I said to her what had happened & we would leave. This has been the poorest service Ive ever seen, we were not even offered an apology. The manager was too busy talking to guests that were clearly her friends, staff too busy counting their tips and one even too busy checking her phone.
I had something I dont usually get at Applebees which was there a chicken stir fry. It was wonderful, and when I asked the server about it she said she was very surprised and expected not to like it but it was really good. She was attentive she was fun, wasnt very pleasant experience. There was a glitch from the kitchen my server took care of it immediately. I will return
The service was super mega slow. They also messed up most of the orders. I did give them a second star because whomever laminated the menus knew what they were doing. I mean I know my way around a laminator machine but dam that was some next level laminating. Also the restaurant was pretty clean.
Holy moly where do I even start. I actually deleted a previous 5 star review to write this.Forbackground i have been in the restaurant industry and even managed a few years as well so I do not normally harp on workers but this is the exception.We had a table of 17. Yes I completley understand that there will be a longer wait time on a table of that size. However. We waited THREE HOURS before we got our food. No I am not exaggerating. We walked in the door at 4:30pm and received our food a little after 7:30pm. This is hands down the worst service I have ever received at a restaurant. And you can bet money on the fact I will never return and I will make sure no one else comes here either. We saw the manager once. Got a couple appetizers for free but we did not receive a discount on our food or even an apology from our server.
Where do I start? First off Applebees USED to be one of my favorite chain restaurants, sadly I had a better meal from Wendys last night. I get that In order to be covid compliant changes must be made however any change that causes a problem in service is not a good change. Limited menu due to having to run a skeleton crew,sub par food,even had to ask for ketchup and salt ketchup came in a small ramikan ,salt in packets,at no time was me or my wife asked if we wanted or needed a drink refill.poor wait staff running ragged to make sure patrons inside were taken care of but at same time having curbside pickup to take care of as well. Truth be told as a chain the decision to run all curbside in this pandemic would be the smartest decision you could make maybe then you could focus on one thing
Very short-staffed and disorganized. The waitress did her best to keep us happy while the kitchen struggled to keep up with orders. After waiting 45 minutes for our food, my brother was informed they were out of strawberries (for his strawberry chicken salad). They offered for him to order something else, but he didnt feel like waiting another 45 minutes. I had the all-you-can-eat riblets, chicken fingers, and shrimp (45 minute wait for the first plate, and another 45 minute wait for the 2nd and 3rd plate, which came out at the same time.) In jest, Ive always joked that Applebees is food from the frozen section in the grocery store that you pay obscene amounts of money for someone else to cook when youre feeling really lazy (even though my frozen food never tastes quite as good as theirs), but honestly I could have done better at home tonight. I really hope they were just having an off-night, but we probably wont be back to this one anytime soon to find out (we were running errands and happened to be in the area, but theres another one closer to home).
My nachos were fine but 3 in my party ordered French onion soup. All 3 came out with the crock a little more than half full. When we asked about it the server even said she thought they didnt look right???.She took the worst one back to the kitchen but it came out and looked inedible. The manager said serving size was 6ozs so thats what we get.!!! Pretty disappointing.
Very unpleasant experience at Applebees in Springfield, Ohio. The staff was rude and inattentive. Silverware was dirty and waitress disappeared for quite a while, finally I got the silverware myself as it was stacked at a table across from me. The waitress came back and chastised me and said they would have to rewash all the silverware and next time have one of the staff get the silverware! She was extremely rude. I called later to complain to the Manager who apologized, but you could tell she couldnt have cared less. I as well as my colleagues who were with me will not be returning to this poorly run establishment.
The hostess was horrible didnt speak to you or smile the only thing good was our waitress she was very outstanding she been there since 6 a.m. working a double shift the food no good at all mistakes didnt even taste like they were even on the grillmy son-in-law had a salad didnt taste good at all my daughter had soup couldnt even eat it overall experience was horrible will not go back
We were there for an hour before our food got to the table and half of it was cold. Then we were overcharged!!! Dont bother going this place has severally gone done Hill. The manager never even came out the server just gave Cash out of her pocket to correct the overcharge on the credit card.
The food was good and all but I came at 7:00 and didnt even get my food until 8:30. Then other people had came in after us, got their food before us, and still left before us. And then they tried to kill my mother luckily she saw the piece of shrimp in her food or she would be in the hospital right now. But I appreciate how they gave her another steak that had NO shrimp in it for no extra cost
I am rarely disappointed with my visits to Applebees. I usually get good service and good food at reasonable prices. However, its sometimes better than that. On this trip, I got the grilled chicken breast with steamed broccoli and garlic mashed potatoes, it was quite good. This was my first visit to this particular Applebees and it was just as good as the one I go to regularly.
Everything was top notch! Our waitress was very friendly and stayed on top of drinks and anything else we wanted! The food was excellent and i would recommend the dollar drinks that Applebees has during each Month. Couldnt beat the value of the food an service for the price!
We didnt even finish our meal,before leaving because the wife didnt want onions and tomatoes on her hamburger, and they didnt even get that right, then the meat was pink, like pink pink, then people in booth behind us was pushing booth I was sitting and getting smashed into the table to point my chest was touching the table. So thats a location I will never go back to
Great service, no wait, food was great. Wish I wouldve taken a picture of my husbands chicken parmesan meal. It was HUGE. It was a large plate of spaghetti and two chicken breasts! We had onion rings, as an appetizer which were delicious. I had the cedar grilled chicken and rice meal, but cant recall the exact name of the meal.
The sevice was horrible. The waiter a young kud acted as uf he wasnt really there. No suggestions, never refilled drinks, dinner rolls, notgi g got rhevoder wrong. I ordered steak and shrimp they brought steak baked potato and chicken they tried to take my entire play I said Im not eating the rest of it cold get a plate check the check guns 25 minutes later they brought my shrimp out because I asked for it and this is what I got not very Tastefully looking the presentation was horrible this is what you put applesauce in then the manager came up and tried to pacify me it was very prevalent that she wasnt sincere she was trying to appease me not satisfy me at the end when I ask for a receipt I told her to stop sugar coating that I could not feel her sincerity and she asked me to leave very rude she said this in front of a crowd of people and I told her to keep on talkin that everyone was listening to how rude she was being to me this was so uncalled for I will never go back
Thank you Applebee’s for having amazing and honest staff! Last night my hubby and I went for dinner and our server was Toby. Very attentive and took great care of us. We left and that was it. Today I remembered I had left my AirPods at the dinner table. Mind you I remember them at almost 2:00pm today. I called Applebee’s and the manager asked me a few questions and said that the AirPods where there to feel free pick them up at anytime. I thanked him from the bottom of my heart! Thank you again for having such great staff!
Its alright.UPDATE! Went and tried it again. Not any better. Had a 20 minute wait for a table. Althought 8 tables where empty. Ordered a med/rare steak come out med/well. Had complimentary chip, they were stale. Walked in the restaurant at 5:30 got to the car at 7:35.
Went to the First St location, HORRIBLE service and all around bad experience. all of the soups had something wrong wether they were cold or just not right. My nana’s food took FOREVER it was at least another 15 minutes of waiting after everyone else had their food. We ended up getting charged for extra drinks and had to get it fixed TWICE. we will not be eating here for a while.
Sat at the bar for over 5 minutes before even being acknowledged by the bartender. He kept working and walked by me several times. It was not that busy but he was clearing plates, wiping counter, making drinks. I almost got up and walked out. At least say hi and ask what Im having to drink..Other than that everything else was good.
I ordered soup for to go curb service, I sat outside for 25 minutes and finally went in, to wait another 10 minutes before anyone acknowledged my existence. The soup was phenomenal but cold, when we do eat at Applebees we go out of town, because the one in Springfield Ohio doesnt have very good service!
Was sat at a table for my anniversary by a host with a bunch if trash sitting in front of the table like it was swept into a huge pile and not yet cleaned up and I said something about it and he laughed and walked away....I thought it was okay because he was leaving to get a broom..but he didnt then he did not bring straws for our drinks...then he did not bring silverware with our food then we had to wait awhile for him to come back with the silverware after we told him...then we ordered steak and waited 45 minutes they did not have any steak sauce in the store at all...so weeft and ended up getting McDonalds $3 bundles for our anniversary.
The food was was cold, undercooked, came out in bits at a time just plain terrible! A martini was ordered when it came, the glass wasnt even half full. The service was bad. The manager did not seem to have control of her staff. All out HORRIBLE experience! I do not reccomend dining here as I was sick for 4 days after having some of the spinach dip. I wouldnt even give one star, but had to to leave review.
Got seated quickly then waited forever to order. Servers kept passing us off to each other. Ordered a strawberry margarita. Got a freeze with NO alcohol in it. Servers excuse was it was her first time as a server where they served alcohol and she was unfamiliar with the drinks! If youre not sure what your serving ASK someone for help!!! Very disappointed!!!
I am a employee at apple bees. AndWe are a great team yes sometimes you have to wait on your food especially when we are really busy. But i tell you The kitchen , works there butts off back there. They are non stop getting slammed in the kitchen which thats ok we love to do what we do as a team. No work place is perfect but apple bees is the best place. Ive ever worked at. We care about one another and we get the job done.
I havent been to Applebees for a long time, but I was pleasantly surprised a couple months ago in Michigan so decided to try this one. I had the Asian salad and half wrap for $8.99. The salad was flavorful and so was the wrap with melted cheese dropping out. We almost fought over the spinach dip. They werent very busy right at noon. I found it a little odd that some of the serving staff were hard to pick out since they were wearing random jackets. All in all, Id go there with someone who isnt very experimental with food, so it gets the job done without hurting the pallet.
Very slow, ordered three things and we didnt get one until I told them I didnt get it and had to just take it to go. My fiances was wrong and charged us 2 times for the meal I didnt even get till we were leaving. Manager made it right and did make our bill about half price but still cant give it more than 2 stars. Food was good tho... just mostly service issues.
Worst server experience at an Applebee’s I have ever had. Ordered 4 food items. 2 came out about 15 minutes after ordering and then 1 came out about 20 minutes later. Asked for plates and she didn’t bring them, the napkins, or refills on drinks (that was all asked for) for almost 20 minutes. Then, I told her we still needed those items she returned within a few minutes and tossed the plates on the table and STILL didn’t bring my drink refill. Finally a manager/assistant manager car around and asked about our service. We explained our frustration and she apologized saying “I think she was just a little overwhelmed tonight”. Anyway, thank goodness this Applebee’s is not close to my home because I will never return to this one again!
I love Applebees. My first choice no matter what State I visit. Applebees or Olive Garden. Last night though, admittedly it was a Saturday was over filled. Our very kind and awesome waitress apologetically told us there was an hour wait in the kitchen, even offered to pay for my wine. She was just about in tears. We stayed and paid for the meal, wine included.
Went here for New Years we got the 2 for $20 (it really is a good deal) and I will tell you the steak was really good. They are fast and friendly. When it comes to drinks the bartender named Taylor is really good with a Margarita. I highly recommend this place. I will be returning.
I ordered the 3 tier combo meal online to come home and realize that one of the orders weren’t in my bag. I called them back to let them know and they say it’ll be 10-15 mins and it’ll be ready. As I wait I open my salad to eat and the first thing I see is a strand of hair. Then I try my chips and artichoke dip and my chips were covered in salt. I come back to pick up what was missing only to find out that my order wasnt even placed... I return the salad and the only response I got was “ok”. No apologies for any of the mistakes made. I don’t ever complain about my food but for the number of times they messed up I felt the need to address it. This was horrible customer service at its finest. Thanks Springfield Applebees for Enlightening me to never eat at your restaurant again! If it gave me the option to put 0-5 I would this place doesn’t even deserve 1 star.P.S. As I walked in through the to-go door it smelled foul and that wasn’t the first time I smelled that from back there. I don’t know if that’s some kind of smell from cleaning products or what but it smelled like straight throw up.
The 1st warning sign was when the hostess wouldnt seat us in an area because the server on duty with someone she didnt like.The 2nd warning sign was when our server didnt really talk to us.The 3rd warning was when our drinks all came out at separate times even though we all ordered waters and two of our party members ordered Margaritas.4th warning was when our food came out all separately with 10 and 20 minutes in between each dish.5th warning was when It took half an hour to bring out 2 small platesThe 6th warning was when we finally got refills on our drinks and our plates the server made no eye contact haphazardly tossed the plates down set the drinks down ignored us and moved on to another table where she chatted for good 15 minutes.The final warning was when the manager gave us and a separate table different excuses on why the experience was so bad she told one table that shes new and she must need more training and then she told us that the server just got overwhelmed.
I was very happy with the entire experience at the Applebees next to the Fairfield Inn in Springfield. The place was fairly crowded on the Sunday night before Labor Day. My server was very friendly and efficient. My order was taken and my food served in a timely manner. However, I did not feel rushed. The food was very good and the steak cooked just the way I like it. I had driven 600 miles that day and it was very pleasant relaxing over a nice dinner at Applebees. All this and 10% off with my room key from the Fairfield Inn. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
Its Oct 30 2019.. This repriev experience is super bad.. Had to send my granddaughter steak back twice.. It was bleeding.. How is well done steak have pink raw meat with blood all around the steak.. Im confused. My ranch dressing was watery and the lettuce was wilted.. Wow.. Never Will return her again..
I just left there. There were only 3 people at the bar. Obviously the bartenders friends. No hello how are you or any greeting. Just what do I want. She got my drink and I had to ask for a menu. Never acknowledged me for 10 minutes. Mind you, she wasnt busy. When she finally came back all I did was ask how much the drink was,paid and told her I would never be back. And I wont. Needless to say, no tip. What a shame. Someone really needs to teach her what customer service is. Also how to smile. Its no wonder that the rest of the restaurant was busy but not the bar.Sorry Springfield Applebees, but Im done.
The place is busy. Staff appears to be struggling to keep up, and the floor is not bring attended to.. lots of stuff on the floor.Wifes food came out cold. Told waitress, food came back and it had been microwaved.. fries and chicken were rubbery.Took to long for manager to come to table. Just not a good experience tonight.
We went to Applebees Springfield Ohio on 6/21/16 for Happy Hour, we have been many times before. We arrived about 6:30 Pm for Happy hour, however they changed from 7pm to 6pm as an end time. All the restaurants around have a later happy hour than here. Are they trying to turn away people? There were probably less than 50 people in the place.. Nicki the bar tender was not very personable, never has been. Not the type of person you would have a good conversation with. We have had her before, and prefer the young man who bar tends. Last time we were there, I ordered a premium Margarita and asked for the olive that is supposed to be in them, and Nicki handed me 1 and told me they are no longer giving out olives, once they are gone, they are gone! Anyway, since the Happy hour menu was not available. we decided to leave and try someplace else. We usually only eat appetizers and didnt want to spend $40 or more on marginal appetizers. We probably wont go back to this Applebees again. next time we will head to Roosters, or Chilis or Abuelos in Beavercreek, all have great happy hours and Happy Hour menus
We ordered mozzarella sticks but didnt get them until we were nearly finished with our lunch. They still charged for it. My husband ordered the brisket wonton tacos...they sucked. I ordered a house salad...it sucked and the dressing didnt set right.Our daughter got the chicken tenders and fries...ok. For all that plus drinks it came to $41.44!For a meal that eventually made us all sick. Not ever again!!!!

2021-07-25Got take out appetizers from Applebees. I have to say it was disappointing this time. Got the double crunch wings with sauce on the side. They were not crunchy one bit. The sauce had a good flavor. Got the tomato soup. Pretty good flavor. They forgot our salad. Lucky we caught it before we left so we called and they ran one out to us in the parking lot. The salad was good overall but lacking croutons. The nachos were ok. Pretty salty. Overall I would give them one more chance.

2021-07-29We went there a couple of weeks ago.The service was great. Our server (Aleisha?)was so sweet.The food was hot and delicious.We were happy with our visit that day.The worst experience by far was that SOMEONE (an employee) decided to put a song on the jukebox that THEY thought was cool. A few of the employees thought it was just the best and most dynamic song ever.It was a horrible mixture of country and rap. That whole concept is ridiculous, and that song was one of the worst musical experiences of my life.After that ordeal, they changed the music to some nice classic rock. This was a much more acceptable (and less nauseating) choice.We will definitely go back. We just hope we arent subjected to that insult to human ears again.

2022-03-12Food came out pretty fast after we ordered and it was good but it took 5 minutes for someone to actually come over and ask how many in our party of 3 we were the only ones at the door they told us it would be about a 10-15 minute wait. They had numerous open tables and we watched some of the employees just standing around. The whole time we were there we only saw maybe 2 tables get cleaned there were about 8 dirty tables the whole time and multiple people waiting to be seated. Our server David Young did a great job and seemed serious about his job.

2022-04-24Horrible! Drove through on a road trip and got to go food. My daughters grilled cheese wasnt even melted, the wings werent even cooked all the way and we found a huge piece of plastic in the mashed potatoes! Stay away, or eat at your own risk. Paid over $50 for trash.

2022-05-08We ate at Applebee’s in Springfield Ohio on Mother’s Day 2022. Our server Brandy was amazing and the food was good. However, the spinach artichoke dip was filled BELOW HALFWAY in the bowl and the bowl of soup was filled about halfway. The manager delivered it to the table and when we asked him about it his reply was we have to cut back on portions because of the cost of everything. I get it… Everything is expensive now. However, I would rather have an honest price for an honest serving them to be charged full price for a half serving. I think that’s very disappointing

2022-04-26I was getting the orange chicken bowl and it was absolutely delicious. I go to order it today and theres only 2 bowls the southwest chicken bowl and the tex bowl. What is going on? I thought the bowls were the big advertised menu items right now there was like 6 of them yesterday now today 2? I dont know dont make a lot of sense to me but definitely changed my dinner plans whether I liked it or not smh

2022-02-26Terrible service within the 2 times Ive been there in the last month. This last experience was worse than the first time. Our waitress didnt seem to care, we waited so long for anything we asked for and when we got our food an order was messed up an she argued when we announced our order was wrong. I dont expect the best considering the lack of of employees but this was bad. Hopefully they can step up their game.

2022-06-08I can’t even really give one star! The last several times we have tried to go in to eat we are told it’s 25 minutes, and there is no one in there! Okay I get the Covid thing, but I can go down the street and be seated at Texas Roadhouse and it’s packed! I even called from the parking lot and told we could be seated at the bar with no wait, went in and told there was no seating available! Come on Applebee’s get it together, because your people are robbing you blind, without customers= no income! Sooner than later you’ll have to close all locations!! Because you allowing people to not work and be paid!
