FYI staff do not work on commission and the awesome staff member who helped me said they do it just because they love helping people and love what they do! Wish I could remember his name. From his service, I believe it! Had an excellent experience upgrading to the new Macbook Pro and felt zero pressure.
I got to be truthful I wish they had a told me that I needed certain things before I drove there but it was a problem that they didnt because I did waste my time and Im pretty sure they know all that you need before you drive to them they need to have a better location than the two that I know of Franklin Mall in Toledo and briarwood Mall in Ann arbor You need to have something more central Livonia Taylor South gate woodhaven Detroit Southfield think about it
Purchased an Apple Watch for wife, less than 30 days watch was defective, returned to apple store, great service, watch was replaced with new watch, 3 weeks later appears my wife got a lemon, no screen, returned to apple store, they would not replace, sent it out for repair? We have always been Apple customers, we have apple care plus, but the store says that does not mean you receive a replacement, buyers beware to have them explain this before you buy this plus package, manager was rude, different from previous manager on first replacement. We have always been Apple family and own several apple products, but were treated with disrespect for a product less than 30 days of ownership. Wife works in a office environment, no physical abuse to product. Did not receive a review from store after visit, selective reviews by manager. Signed disappointed in Ohio, Apple was the best. Watch was sent out for repair as mentioned above, Apple Support very cooperative, explained to us store reserves the right to send items out for repair rather than replace even with Apple Care Plus. They also stated very sorry my wife has experienced this with her watches and connected with Apple Repair to get a status on watch repair, found due to COVID watch was received but never checked in to get repaired. This was corrected and watch was logged in by Apple Repair and we were notified that they were going to replace the watch due to a software issue and would contact us when one was available for pick-up? 5 Days later no contact for a watch to be available calling Apple Support on Monday, it has been 2 weeks that a original gift was sent out for repair . Trying to understand why they just did not send us to the store to get a replacement? Received new watch from Apple Repair, from store. Long process thanks for a new watch.
According to this Apple store, its normal for laptop batteries to become swollen fire risks in less than 5 years, at which point you have to choose between keeping a time bomb in your home/car/backpack or paying Apple hundreds of dollars more to defuse it for you because they decided to glue it in so no one else can remove it.
This mall needs much of a face-lift! Paint in many areas and especially updates needed in parking garage too much cracking paint falling on vehicles!? Trash constantly in parking areas!? Why do people trash the only mall in toledo to really go to to? We need an indoor Amusement place there instead of having to go to Dave&Busters!
Yesterday, I woke up without my alarm going off at 4AM for the gym…or so I thought. It was definitely different. Very refreshed. That’s how I knew something wasn’t right. I picked up phone to find this apple logo staring at me. After I fumbled to find my glasses, the clock on my dresser said 5:35AM. Ugh! Not today!! It was packed with things to do and appointments. Long story, longer, got to the apple store by 12, phone fixed by 1:00 and I think I JUST got caught up at 7:45PM tonight. Technology is great when it’s working. Thank apple geniuses, you’re life savers!!! You’ve never failed me.
I went for a battery replacement (with an appointment) for my iPhone and was helped immediately. Everyone I had contact with was extremely kind and helpful. The person I had the most contact with was Ethan. He was extremely nice and personable and helped me without trying to push me to purchase another device. When I went to pick my phone up, there was about a 5 minute wait for it to be finished and Ethan remembered my face/name, walked out of the store to where I was waiting and took care of me. I definitely would come back to this location and I can’t thank Ethan/his coworkers enough!
They were super helpful and thorough at this location. I made an appointment so I was able to get immediate assistance. They were able to fix my phone screen within an hour and made me aware of all my options and answered all my questions. Would definitely use this location again.
When I went by I saw two lines for order pickup and device support appointments. I didn’t have either of those and the store was completely open with no signs saying not to go inside or anyone blocking the entrance so I went in. I was immediately stopped by a security guard who physically inserted himself in front of me (a 5’1” petite woman) to block me from walking any further and proceeded to stick a temperature gun to my forehead without my consent, all while making me back up using physical intimidation instead of words. I am all for precautions and staying safe during this time but this is by far the worst experience I’ve had in a store regarding safety precautions. It made no difference whether I was 2 ft in front of or beyond the threshold of the wide open store (it doesn’t have any doors) and would have responded fine to the man calling me back to go wait in a line and then asking to take my temperature when I got to the front. I was not given the chance to follow guidelines and instead was immediately treated like I had been told not to go in and had not listened to the rules. Very unfriendly and vaguely hostile environment.
If I could post 0 stars I would. I got an iPhone 11 for my fiance and I and for apple Care on both of our phones, my screen broke and I needed it fixed. It took me 3 months and to talk to someone thats a bigwig at apple to make it happen because the people in the Apple store didnt believe I had apple Care they kept sending me to TMobile and TMobile wouldnt understand why they just wouldnt fix my phone so it took the bigwig to email me a number to show them to get me into my appointment to get my screen fixed and apple paid for it. They were VERY rude especially to people of color I noticed. I love Apple products but the people they have working for them at Franklin Park Mall is appalling..
I was little annoyed that you had to book appointment to shop for a watch. I understand covid rules but you have to jump through so many things to book appt. I dont have have a apple phone, but I was taking my mom who does have a apple phone to get a mothers day gift. Anywho we went up to a guard and they got us in. We got Davis as our rep. He was amazing and really took the time to help my mom find what she wanted and made her totally happy! THANK YOU Davis! She isnt easy to please but she left super happy! You rock!
I am having battery issues with my 5 month old iphone 12 pro. Battery is draining from 100 to 5% overnight when in idle. Battery literally dropped 5% in-front of apple technician and he is telling me he cant do anything because their minor diagnostic does not show any hardware issues. He told me that my battery health is 100% which i can already see on my phone but they are not willing to accept the fact that battery has literally dropped in front of his eyes.Feeling helpless!! Worst experience with ever!
Was in today getting my phone checked out, I can say today’s service is keeping me with Apple. I was truly going to switch to Samsung after today’s visit but everything went well and the gentleman kept me informed every step of the way. I like knowing what’s going on and he was very good with telling me what this diagnostic does compared to different things. Very tech savvy he was. Thank you and see you all soon, I’ll be purchasing another phone very soon when my tax refund hits. I gotta have that gold pro. Oh oh oh yeah one more thing. Omg they were totally on it with disinfecting areas that were recently visited. They had there own cleaners separate from the sales people. Very nice. Nothing worse then looking at a phone that was fingered with covid. You also can’t roam and have to stay put. I like that. I felt very safe from covid while at Apple today. Thanks guys, see ya soon. ##iphone12goldpro
I made an appt. to upgrade my iPad to the iPad Pro. I use my iPad mostly for just my artwork nowadays, and I was getting tired of the smaller screen. The employees were so friendly!!!! I have always had pleasant experiences at the Apple store, but this was the best experience I’ve had here by far. The girl who helped me with purchasing my new iPads name was Naj. She was seriously so nice and sweet. I feel like a lot of peoples moods have been dampened due to the pandemic and everything going on right now. But she seriously lifted my spirits so much! She asked me about my journey as an artist, as well as one other employee. We connected through both having Mac miller tattoos. I am currently looking for an apprenticeship, and they were giving me information of places that may be looking for one right now, and setting me up with apples business team. This felt like more than just a purchase and showed me that Apple is really doing so much to help businesses and artists.Thank you so much naj for the kindness! You guys really have some amazing people working for your company.
My daughter dropped her screen on the concrete and of course her screen cracked into many pieces. Went to sprint and we were directed to Apple store because we had Apple Care.We weren’t seen that day we were scheduled for the following day. We were helped by a Ben. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. Our phone was replaced for $100.However when it came to linking our phone back to Sprint there was a glitch and my password and user ID weren’t going in. This seemed to frustrate Ben and his tone and friendliness seemed to shift towards a bit rude. Overall it was a great outcome though.
From an unbiased person to another, Apple Stores are well known for their fast service and amazing customer support. Of course, there are a few exceptions but those are at the fault of the employees, not the business itself. With that said, it’s a normal Apple Store with excellent customer service. If you want proof, here is my experience. About a year ago, I brought in my 2016 MacBook Pro to get the battery replaced due to the battery expanding (which isn’t supposed to happen and is (if not, then it was) covered under the newly created battery program. They took it and offered to replace the battery for free as the battery fault was the manufacturers fault, not the customer.Anyway, after a full week they contacted me and I could pick it up. I went in early to pick it up and I brought it back home. It’s as simple as that.So as you can see from this example, I literally can’t complain.
All the amazing Apple products are available. The wait time is also not much on the launch day of the iPhones. Did not have to wait too long to get the help that was needed with my iPhone. If you are going for a repair it is always advised to have an appointment, this way to are served better and faster. Getting an appointment is easy too at this store. The staff is very helpful. The overall ambiance of the store, cleanliness is really great.
Horrible customer service. Asked irrelevant questions and told me to go to my carrier for a new phone. He Wouldn’t let me buy an iPhone, but let my boyfriend no problem. I was buying my boyfriend a new phone and decided I wanted one too. He started asking a bunch of questions. “Where do you work? Why do you want to trade in?” I wasn’t going to make payments, I had cash in my hand. After I bought my boyfriends phone, he started acting real weird. Started saying uhh and um a LOT. Super unprofessional. He told me he doesn’t know why I’d go to the Apple store instead of my carrier. Because I’m already here buying a new phone, don’t I have the right to buy something for myself? I wanted to get an Apple TV and one of the laptops as well, but that really drove me off. It’s really annoying when people try to know your private business and you’re just trying to make a purchase.
Not very happy right now. I went to the apple store in Franklin Park Mall in Toledo, Ohio on October 14 and asked how to get my iPad pro repaired. I was told that I needed to make an appointment to come back to the store to trade my iPad for a new one (I pay a monthly fee for extended warranty). Appointment was made for October 22 at 3:30pm. When I showed up they said that the replacement needed to be ordered. What?! Why was an appointment even made? So, what could I do? Well, nothing, I guess. Now they say they will send an email when a replacement is in. Would have been nice to send me an email before I spent 40 minutes driving there for nothing.
First time at this store for a service appointment. Service was great as soon as we entered. Clean store and friendly greeters. Our Tech Kyle was fantastic. He explained everything to us and quickly resolved our problem. Kyle even explained a few things we didnt know about. If you need anything Apple related this is the place to go.
0 STARS NOT EVEN WORTH 1FRANKLIN PARK APPLE IS THE ABSOLUTE WORST! To start I love all of my Apple products however, the Franklin Park Apple store is terrible and by far the worst store I have ever been to! The staff is rude, disrespectful, and VERY unhelpful. They lie to you and try to convince you to purchase new products. One of the employees told me my $1,000 Apple phone had the value of a “paperweight” I went in to get a screen repair and they told me an hour and it took over 5! They could have been honest about the time frame. I have been on hold waiting to speak with a manager for 45 minutes today no one is picking up the phone. Originally they gave me one price to fix the screen (when I dropped the phone off) but then when I went to pick it back up they said a much higher price. Turned out this employee was “mistaken” and the original price was the correct price but that makes me wonder how many other people they scam using that same tactic. Apple products are great but with a service like this are they really even worth it? I was looking to purchase a new phone, computer and watch but I am now really reconsidering my decisions based on the fact that I’ve now been on hold for 50 minutes to speak with someone! This store does terrible business and I watch the way they treat people when they walk in, it is disgusting! One bad Apple really does ruin the bunch! Sorry Apple so disappointed in you!
Ghastly experience with Alex he. seemed to want to pick a fight. Full of attitude. You are at the store trying to spend lots of money; have spent lots in the past on Apple Products. This is how he treats you?Was truly snotty and disrespectful. He was the rudest clerk I have ever dealt with anywhere until he was in front of his manager. The manager was nice polite and helpful.
Went to the Apple store thinking I was going to have to spend time and money buying and installing a new keyboard for my IPAD. Security took my temp, service agent came out and went through my IPAD processes and figured out my keyboard only needed the batteries replaced - WHEW!!Thanks for the service instead of others always pushing for the sale!
My daughter and I went in to look around. A very nice man named Kurt asked us if we needed anything. My daughter had quite a few questions. Kurt was very patient with her and explained everything great. We will definitely be going back for one of their children’s classes!
Well, Im giving this 5-star not because of outcome, but because of the customer service. We came into the store today and were looking to get my wifes father a new macbook. Davis was helping us. Immediately, Davis was able to pull up the specific model with the right specs even though it wasnt a typical configuration. We didnt end of getting it, but the customer service was great! When my father in law changed his mind, Davis returned it in a matter of 60 seconds and we were on our way. Well done Davis, well done. We appreciate you working hard to explain things and take care of us.
Great experience. My phone had an issue that a Sprint Store employee tried to fix. They made it worse. Locked my phone up half way updated. Took it up here to see what Apple could do, hoping to just get a usable phone again, didnt think they would be able to recover my data. However they managed to get the update to go through and saved the phone data. Huge success. The technicians are phenomenal, cant say enough good things about the service I received here.
I went in a few days ago To the store to get two iPhones that my girlfriend wanted to get us. I was using her debit card for the purchase and I had my ID but it didn’t match card name bc it was my girlfriend’s . Basically I pulled out a grand to buy the phones with the card but when I got back they wouldn’t even sell them to me they tried selling me a lesser phone for the thousand cash I had. I didn’t want to go to Verizon and get the phones on contract but now I do. I can’t believe this is how Apple treats there customers.
12/10/19 I walked in because my display went out on my 2016 MacBook Pro and an employee named Ben helped me. I told him my troubles and that it was the week of my finals and I needed it. Ben said it could take 2-3 days but he would talk to his manager and try to front load me on maintenance and get it to me by Weds or Thurs. I received a call 3 hours later that I could come in and pick it up and my laptop works like new. Big thanks to Ben and his manager! Saved me big time!
Rating three stars because I came in to get my screen replaced (I dropped my phone). The employee scanned my phone and asked me did I have apple care. I told him I did have Apple care he said it wasn’t showing up and I need to go to my carrier and see if they could fix it. Never did he go to my settings and about to see if my Apple care showed up there. So I leave and call Apple they say yes you do have Apple care I’m not sure why he can’t see that. I go back in store explain that I called Apple show him In my settings that I have apple care. He scans my phone again and shockingly my Apple care pops up 🙃. I feel like all that could have been avoided if he Checked my setting or scanned my phone again.
I have only been to this location once and it was on the launch of the iPhone 6s event so they were VERY busy yet VERY well staffed. I ran into a couple snags as far as technical help went though and I left the store with a few of my issues unresolved. As far as a shopping experience goes, the store was stocked and clean, if not a little hectic given the circumstances. Overall it was a good experience. I also like how they have a kids table set up for your children to play on iPads and what not.
It has been since January of 2020, I have been trying to get one of my phones repaired. since so busy every time I went, finally arrived just as they opened, only for more disappointment. NO CUSTOMERS YET, BUT I WAS TOLD TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT, THIS WAS TO GET THE SCREEN REPAIRED???????Then Covid hit, now more delays. tried again to make appointment but over two weeks out and unable to make any appointment. Paying for a device not working now:(
Been there 2x in the last week to have my granddaughters phone that is only 5 months old check. Battery keeps dying after a couple hours, phone shuts down and wont restart. They have reset the phone twice and the only answer is to d ont put so much stuff on the phone. Really! Not sure I will buy from them again.
When I made an appointment to buy a phone last Sunday, the clerk told me that you can come directly on Friday. When I entered the store today, the clerk told me that the rules have changed. I can’t buy a phone without an appointment. I specifically asked for leave to buy a phone. I Very helpless!
I would be very skeptical about the advice given from the Apple geniuses at this location especially if their advice to remedy a broken product is to purchase a new one. I brought in my Apple Watch on 10/15/18 because it wasn’t charging and therefore not turning on. I had already read the Apple article on troubleshooting that issue and I’m glad I did because my knowledge saved me $250. Very long story short the genius said my only options were to send it off for repair for $199 or buy a new one at $279. I had to suggest to try a new power cord and when I walked away for 2 minutes to check on my child, I came back to my watch packed up and she said it didn’t work, but the Apple article said to charge for up to 30 minutes. After going back and forth with her, eventually she let me charge it and said “if it will give you peace of mind” and within 10 minutes it turned on. It costed me $29 for a new power cord vs $279 for a new one and now my watch works great. You have to be knowledgeable and be your own advocate in this store. I completed an evaluation and asked for someone to call, but they didn’t, so that’s why I’m reviewing on here just to warn customers. Beware.
I visit here all the time being that I own a lot of apple products. This store is very nice and appealing to the eyes. They have all of the phones,iPads, computers, and headphones on display so people can test the products out before purchase. The staff here are very helpful. The only downside is that when you want to purchase something you have to wait for them to get done talking to people.
I took my sons Apple watch in for service and the wait was close to an hour to have one of their service techs come out to look at it. Theyre staff was very friendly and approached us right away to let me know that it would be awhile. The greeter kept us informed the whole time and they ultimately replaced it free of charge. Im not an Apple user but I may tend to rethink my next phone purchase now and convert to ios.
Great service - typical atmosphere for Apple. We had issues with 2 ipad one a few years without use and the other brand new. Customer service individuals know their products well. They helped us resolve issues very quickly. As an older client (45+yrs, female) its a little off putting to have sloppy wrinkled attendants. Jeans ok, t-shirts ok, different hair styles n colours ok, piercings ok, even orientations of various kind ok - but unkempt, wrinkled, & looking like you need to be hit with a bar of soap is off putting to say the least. I do not think cleanliness and personal hygiene is a thing of the past, well at least this paying customer hopes not.
My consultant was trying to take care of 4 people at once. My battery in by iPhone 5 died and I just wanted to change out the battery. I spent 1 hour in the store waiting while she helped the other 3 people and I had a scheduled appointment. I ended up with a new phone that did not work and she blamed Verizon. After spending another hour and a half on the phone the next day with Apple it was finally fixed.
I was out biking with my Apple Watch 1st gen when the display begun to separate from the case. Knowing it was out of warranty I still took it to the Apple Store to see if there was anything they could do because I noticed the battery was bulging. Spoke with Michelle and she was extremely friendly! Looked at the watch for only a few seconds and upon seeing the swollen battery immediately submitted a replacement request. I had a new watch to my door in just a few days!
I love having an Apple store in Toledo. I hated having to drive all the way to Ann Arbor to have something repaired or attend a workshop. The employees are always so nice and very knowledgeable. I like going during the middle week when the store isnt super busy like it is on the weekends. The Geniuses at this store were also able to restore the photos from my phone that I thought were lost forever. You guys are the best!
Customer service is TERRIBLE! To get a battery replacement ( due to Apples deliberate slowdown), they asked me to visit the store 3 times. I could either wait in person for several hours each time, or else schedule an appointment for a week hence (and then repeat 2 more times). Reps are ARROGANT -- not answering direct questions, and instead spewing long harangues about store hours. Finally I ordered a battery from corporate; it was to be shipped directly to the store, and the store was to notify me by email of its arrival. They never did. I called back after 5 weeks, and they said, yes, they had it, but wouldnt tell me for how LONG they had it. Instead, they told me they would ship it back to corporate 7 days after they notified me (which they neglected to do). And the earliest appointment they could give me was 6 days hence. After more than 20 years as a consumer of their overpriced merchandise, I have purchased my last Apple product (except for the $29 battery, which I need to keep my iPhone running for the next 10 months, until it is paid off).
This review is on the basis of one event where I thought I would be screwed out of $150. I bought a mophie charger here and I had it for about a month and the watch charger on the base stopped working, the phone charger would sporadically work. I was in the mall anyway so I stopped in to ask what course of action I could take because the manufacture wouldnt warranty it. BEing well past Apples return policy I was pleasantly surprised that they took it back.
Came in with problems with my brand new Apple series 3 watch from At&t, where they sent me because they have the contract through Apple, and I had a terrible experience with them bad mouthing my wireless carrier and saying I needed to go back to them, basically telling me they couldn’t help me. Luckily my wireless provider has a retail store in the same mall as this apple store and they walked me down there and made sure a second time Apple would fix my watch. They are rude and through the entire process kept bad mouthing my wireless provider making it seem like the Apple reps didn’t want to simply do their job by helping me a brand new Apple customer. Absolutely terrible experience. Thank god for my wireless provider for being in the mall.
I have been in there a number of times for various problems with a new Iphone 6. That number of times is now 6 and regretfully I have to return yet again. The original issue occurred while using the device as a phone. My voice would cut out for several seconds or longer leaving me saying to the other party Can you hear me now? Which is very annoying. This led me back to the retailer where I bought it. My 14 day warranty had just expired so they sent me to the Apple Store for service, Who ran a diagnostic on the phone and couldnt find anything wrong with it. They refreshed some settings, changed my Sprint sim card and sent me on my way telling me the next step would be a brand new phone. When the problem reoccurred, I was back, I showed up at 7:45 they were too busy to fit me in before they close at 9 over an hour later. The greeter informed me with a condescending smile he would gladly make me an appointment for another day. So I went home with my $800 Phone that doesnt work as a phone and came back the next day. They did swap out my phone with a refurbished one wiping out all my data in the process. Before I had even left the mall the problem was back. I went back to the apple store to try to get my old phone back, less than fifteen minutes later. They refused to give me my Old (NEW) phone back claiming since it had been returned it had to go back to Apple for testing and refurbishment. So Still have the voice issue, no data, and a phone with an unknown history, Thanks Apple Store! Wouldnt you know this new phone has another hiccup, a screen with a mind of its own that refuses to accept user inputs. So I went back for the 6th time or so this time they replaced my screen. The voice issue has never gone away, and the screen issue is back. Ive had the phone for about 5 weeks, and about ready to break my contract, and get a new phone and carrier.
My MacBook Pro would only type certain letters. I took it in to get serviced and was told that the keyboard needed replace and it could be completed in an hour. They created an appointment for me to bring it in to be serviced. About 3 days later, I received a phone call that they would have to send it out to be serviced because they were unable to remove a certain screw, there was no discussion about anything else needing to be replaced or serviced. I received a call about 5 days later stating that it was back in and ready for pick up from the store. I went in and picked up my laptop, but was asked for more money than originally quoted. I looked at the service receipt that was completed and it stated that they removed and changed my hard drive that had years of photos (baby pictures of my 2 and 1 year old), music, movies, tax documents, and other important documents. No one ever informed me that it might be necessary to replace my hard drive. Not a single employee contacted me to inform me when it was decided that more work needed to be completed to sufficiently fix my laptop. I contacted corporate and they tried to find my old hard drive to no avail. Corporate said the store would be contacting me, but they never did. I was not offered anything besides an apology at the store and was told I should have backed up everything. Never would I think that an hour repair of just switching out a keyboard would have resulted in a hard drive replacement, let alone not being told about something that extensive. If I would have been consulted, I would have not gotten it fixed and used a portable keyboard I had. I will never again purchase an apple product.
Long wait for something simple. Found out the lady waiting after me couldnt turn her ipad on. It just needed a reboot, as we waited for help. I got it fixed for her, checked software and verified everything was working correctly. They made her wait over an hour for a 2 minute fix. Thats insane.
Kent was the genius that helped me retrieve files on my computer and get it to log-in again! He was easy to talk to, calming, reassuring, and all around very knowledgeable and a pleasure to have help me overcome my technology pitfalls. FAR superior to any apple robot they make you talk to on the phone!
Horrible customer service made a walk in appointment and was told it was about an hour wait. We waited an hour and half got our text to come in, we went in and waited another 30 minutes only for the representative to run a quick diagnostic and send me home for my phone to act up the next day. Finally they order a replacement for a 5s that I just bought a few months ago and its going to take a week to get it.
Not impressed with the apple service. my beat headphones stop charging and when i called the 800 number they recommended to go to your nearest apple store for them to tell me it’s going to be way over 100 dollars to repair. it’s your product apple and you should repair or replace.
Apple stores will always have that nice welcoming feeling everytime you walk into one, and this place is no different. Friendly faces will greet you and help you to find whatever it is that you are looking for. I cant give 5 stars though because apple being apple has way too overpriced items.
You have people working there standing around while Im told to stand around and wait for someone to help me. How about that person. Nope he cant help you. How about her. Nope she cant help you. How the hell does this place get returning customers? According to their reviews I guess they dont. People standing around looking at each other. Do you want my business? Apparently not.
This store is so user UN-friendly it isnt funny. The employees might spend a few minutes with you and then theyll be right back. My wife & I were in the store 3 hours Saturday night and she was there 3 hours today, with an appointment. She never got the information she wanted even though she bundled up our desk top and hauled it into the store. Apple has great products but their staff, at least in this store, need some serious retraining. It is so poorly run, I wonder if there is any management present. (This was written by my husband)
If I could give zero stars I would. I’ve been having trouble with my iPhone s7 for 3+ weeks where it randomly shuts off and a message appears saying “no service.” When this message appears I am unable to do ANYTHING on my phone, this includes making/receiving calls and texts. I took it to Apple, after spending an hour and a half on the phone, trying to trouble shoot the problem. Basically this is a known problem with the iPhone s7 however they are unable to do anything about the issue until my phone completely shuts down and I am no longer able to receive ANY service at all! (Hopefully I’m never in a crisis when this happens!) What really upsets me is I pay for data however when this message appears I am unable to USE this data. Apple has terrible customer service and I will never purchase another Apple device.
Took my iphone 7 here because it didn’t have service for weeks (a known issue for first issued iphone 7 models). the associate reset my phone, after i had already told him that wouldn’t work because i had already tried it, and sent me home. he said if it lost service again my phone would be replaced. when my phone lost service again, i made another 50 minute drive to the apple store. a different associate tried the same thing (apple takes records of everything they do, so he knew it was tried already). my dad informed him of what we were told last time, and he began the replacement process. the store took my phone and sent me on my way. a few days later i checked my email to see about the status of my phone, and i found that apple had “repaired” my phone. i got the phone back yesterday, the service issue is fixed, but now i can’t send group messages to non-iphone users. i do not recommend this apple store to anyone.
I tried them three times with simple technical issues that any store can solve them easily, but everytime they disappoint me with non professional excuses. If “apple” can not manage the technical issues in their devices, I think they should hire somebody to do it for them!
I purchased a Series 2 Apple Watch in January 2017. Last week I noticed that the color on the side of the watch was fading. I went to the Apple Store today and was told that there was absolutely nothing they could do and that it was a cosmetic issue. The manager Leslie was very condescending and told me to call Apple Care and that they might be able to do something but that she doubt it. I left very irritated and called Apple Care. The representative informed me that they would absolutely send me a new watch and that he didnt know why the Manager told me that. I immediately went back to the store and informed them that I was getting a new replacement watch and that I will never step foot in that store again.
I did the express phone pick up process online before I went to the store to pick up my new Apple iPhone 8. There was an error on their end and they would not release the phone to me. I ended up waiting in the store for 3.5 hours!!! I had to talk to several ppl on the phone, several store associates. It was a nightmare. The process is still not complete and they said they would call me today to complete it. I am done with the Apple care program.
Were older, 60s plus and are not technofiles. Every time we have been there be it for phones, iPads, classes on iCloud or just simply to ask questions, we always have been treated with respect and who ever we talked to spent what ever time that was needed. We purchased an iPad Air and got it and an existing iPad all connected up. It took awhile to get our phones tied in and accounts properly configured. As with anything electronic there were issues but we were never abandoned and the reps (and there were three of them) never gave up.It is a busy place but we got attention as soon as we came thru the door. Any issue that we might have had was due to rude customers, not the staff. I think some people think this is some sort of public playground where they can drop their children and go off somewhere.
I believe that this location is apparently racists when it comes to employment. I attended a group interview here and upon my arrival, I noticed 1 black individual and no other races besides caucasians. I was told to wait 48 hours to recieve an email. I recieved an email the following day telling me that they didnt need me. I felt that the only reason i didnt even make it to the second interview was due to my skin. They didnt say why as usual, but when you are black you need no explanation. Ive been to plenty of apple stores and they always have a diverse employee population. But not here. Sad to say: apple of franklin hills is racist.
Seems like no one really wants to help out. I didnt have an appointment which i understand is preferred, but my computer completely stopped working one night so i brought it in the next day hoping they could work me in, even if i had to wait, (ive been able to do this at another store before but its a further distance to travel). I had to wait in line and the person in front of me had the same issue. They would not take either one of us as a walk in, only told us they would do walk ins tomorrow or they would schedule us appointments on Wednesday ,neither days i could come back due to work. Neither one of us could get into our computer and we received zero help for that day. I understand that they have to accommodate the customers who made appointments, but the store wasnt very busy at all, and im not sure why they dont have built in walk in appointments to accommodate daily, for those who have emergencies.Thankfully there is a Mac Cafe across the street from the mall, and they were super accommodating and saw me as soon as i walked through the door and helped me with my computer. Since they were so friendly i will keep my business with them and will not return to the toledo location at franklin park.
If you try to phone, you will NOT speak to the store. You are put on the endless belt of automated, robot-managed re-directs. This can go on for an hour, if youre either extraordinarily patient or extremely foolish. Pointless either way. The only thing worse is the traffic in the area around the mall.
Very poor service , I have dropped IMAC for repair few days ago , called the store over multiple days to get an update , no one ever picked the phone , have to go to the store to get status update and the only thing I was told I need to wait longer. No update . Horrible customer service
Absolutely shocked by the ignorance of this Apple Store. They have removed all of their display information. They have removed all of their prices. So basically, unless the customer is a mind reader, they have to ask one of the arrogant employees what theyre looking at. This is where they really lost my business. So what do you want to know? The employee asked. What kind of computer is it? was my response. Well, its a laptop he said with an arrogant response, who then just stared at me without offering any information of the device with this youre an idiot gaze at me as if he thought I didnt know the difference between a Macbook, Macbook Pro, or an iMac. -That was all it took for us to walk out. We are purchasing a Macbook pro and an iMac for our business, but NOT AT THE APPLE STORE.Hiding the prices, hiding the computer information, and forcing the customers to put up with arrogant responses to your questions has to be the biggest FAIL Apple Store has come up with in their sales tactics.
One of the worst customer service experiences ever. It is impossible to get out of the automated recording loop to actually talk to a real person. I have a two minute question that has had me on hold for 30 minutes. Can’t understand how the people who revelutionized the phone don’t understand how to answer it. After thousands of dollars spent on apple products, I think it is time to try Samsung.
Would leave 0 stars but can’t took my phone in to get repaired and was told it needed to be sent out to get fixed and was under warranty so the lady told me multiple times it was going to be free no charge and waiting for a week to find out that my phone is still sent out and I need to pay to get it fixed or their just going to send it back after I drove 2 hrs there and back to drop it off had I known it was going to cost to fix I wouldn’t have made the trip but she told me multiple times it would be free
Signed up for an appointment earlier that day and when I went in they made me wait for over 40 minutes while 5 other groups went a head of me that just walked in. Totally forgot about me, employees would make conversation with everyone at the waiting table except me, it was a really bizarre situation.

2022-01-21This was my first time shopping in the Apple store and I loved it! Granted, I did go right when it opened, so I didnt have to wait in a line. But the costumer service was great! Quick yet knowledgable. Anytime people take the time to remember my name is nice. We talked about what phone would be best for my specific needs so I didnt end up with something over the top. Maurice specifically was really nice and professional! I ended up getting exactly what I needed.

2021-12-31Called day before New Year’s Eve and the call line said Apple Store was open normal hours 11:00am -6:00pm and upon arrival they were not open. After driving 47 miles, it was very upsetting. Would not recommend Toledo Apple Store.

2022-02-26I make no secret of my disdain for Apple products. They are a tremendous scam, constantly downgrading and slowing down old technology to force you to upgrade to the latest overpriced gadget that doesnt work well within a year or has tremendously overpriced accessories.HOWEVERThe woman that helped me when I was here getting my workplaces IPad wiped, cleared and ready to operate was very nice and pleasant to interact with. She made the process as painless as it could have been, and apple is quite good at making the process painful. I thank her, Sheridan, for her help and commend her customer service skills.

2022-02-15The young lady who helped me was fantastic. Not only did she need my needs and expectations, but she went above and beyond to help make sure everything was taken care of properly for me. She was fast, friendly, and very pleasant to work with.

2022-05-28Drove 45 minutes for them to tell me that even though I pay for insurance on the phone it wasn’t broken so I wasn’t getting a new one, must be a carrier problem after we had already been to the carrier the previous day and they said it isn’t an issue on their end. Worst apple store I’ve been too. Will absolutely be going to Ann Arbor from now one.

2022-06-07Always buy my phone directly from the apple store. Don’t go anywhere else. Bought my case from them, they didn’t have a screensaver had Verizon put one on. Had a issue with my phone, took it in to the Apple store. They claimed it was tampered with by third party. Which, tried to explain to them I come here no where else, they said they can send out phone to prove me wrong. No loaner phone, just only option to buy refurbished phone, they don’t call it that, and I had no other option. Because unfortunately needed phone for work. So to the unknowing, inspect phone right out of box and put in case. Put in a secure case. Document condition of phone before leaving the store. Because whatever you say you’re wrong and they are right. But, they will give you the option to send it out to prove you wrong.

2022-01-30Always let me pick of my orders with ease and doesnt take too long. This last order, I did curbside and I really enjoyed not having to endure the mall during peak COVID. Sorry to the employee who had to battle the cold.

2021-12-20I’m only giving 5 star review to the person who helped me in store . His name was either Jarrett or Jared . Wore glasses and had the best energy. Joked the whole time with him helped both me and my mom . 10/10 for him !! But apple customer service on the phone are the worst . Very frustrating and aggressive people that took almost 40 minutes for fix a order they messed up for me . The last lady I spoke to was yelling through the phone and it really made me not want to even buy the phones I was getting . She could barely let me talk . I was sure gonna head over to a different store for me and my moms new phones . I didn’t understand why she was so aggressive when I was talking nicely. Apple I was very frustrated with your customer service and hope you guys fix that .

2022-02-12My phone 11 pro started acting up this morning. It wouldn’t turn on, the Apple sign was blinking, and it got to the point where it was telling me to plug it into my computer to either update the software or restore it. After the software failed to update I decided to go to the Apple store to see if they could fix it, because I didn’t have much of my data saved on iCloud. Today I learned how unknowledgeable the techs there are. After the girl tried to do the same thing on her computer that we did at home, she told me my only option at this point would be to restore the phone and lose the data. Another girl came to “help” and told us it’s a hardware issue, and, when my boyfriend asked if we could just get the motherboard replaced, she told us that the hard drive was built into the motherboard, and if we remove that, we will lose the hard drive and data anyway. She suggested rather than doing that, it would make more sense to just spend that money we would spend on a new motherboard on a new phone. After that, the first girl said that she will just try and restore it to at least get the phone working again, trying to convince me that it was the only option. I told her that I would not like to give up and lose all of my data, and I would rather keep trying and if needed, restore the phone on my own as I am capable of doing that at home. Anyway, we drove away and decided to try uBreakiFix in Perrysburg. We went in and told the employee what happened and he took my phone to the back. Within the matter of 2 minutes he came back to the front and set my phone in front of me with my lock screen on and everything back to normal, without charging me anything. He also confirmed that the second girl was incorrect when she stated that the hard drive was built into the motherboard. I would highly recommended not attempting to get your devices fixed from this store because they don’t know what they’re doing, they clearly have not had the appropriate training for their job, and they’ll let you lose years of memory on your phone just to make a sale.
