Good gym with nice equipment. Clean and enough space for about 10 people
Had a great time working out with Justin. Thought I signed up for a one year contract, as my contract had a very clearly stated end date. It automatically renewed, including a personal training contract(after Id left the area). I cancelled my contract, per the Certified Letter to processor method. Only then did I find out my training isnt through the club, but rather a separate company entirely Ive NEVER HEARD THE NAME OF, and I have to cancel with them directly, with a separate 30 day notice.There are better options available.
Got my membership here in 7/2018 and in 1/2019 I got a promotion at work that required me to move to an area where there was no anytime fitness so I could not transfer my membership. I had a personal training contract and was able to pay off 20% of my remaking contract so I could leave. I told them I was moving and they said they would cancel my monthly gym membership. Here I am a month after leaving and my card is charged for my monthly membership. Called them and waited for three hours with no response (I first called at 11am, that is during their staffed hours) called back at 3pm and someone answered and said I couldn’t cancel my membership without calling a number they were supposed to provide me. Long story short they will not cancel my membership or refund me the month I WAS NOT there for as I now live three hours away!!!! Horrible customer service and I now have to drive three hours to go talk to them in person to 1 cancel my membership and 2 get a refund!!! The only good staff here is Adam, he was my personal trainer before he got promoted and couldn’t work with people anymore. Wonderful person and trainer! He doesn’t deal with the memberships though. DO NOT GET A MEMBERSHIP HERE!!!!
In 2017 I lost 60lbs working out at Anytime Fitness! When I first joined I wasn’t so sure of myself and the staff was very welcoming, answering any question I had. The staff greets you by name, it’s like a gym family they are very supportive of your goals n give great advice. There was a couple months that my payday didn’t align with my payment date, but Jake was very helpful with post pining it a couple days, so I was able to avoid the overdraft fee all it took was a little communication. This is a great gym with very caring and supportive staff! Plus the tanning beds are amazing!
Clean, friendly and kind people.....as a michigander I find that the atmosphere is much more easy going.

I’m not sure what all the negative reviews are about....I’ve had nothing but a good relationship and membership with my gym and manager. I too, was about to be cancelled (because of negligence of my own).... the manager and I spoke and he quickly and calmly reinstated my membership with no hassles.Jake, the manager, is very knowledgeable about what machines to use for certain body issues. The gym is spotless, and I feel very comfortable working out at Anytime Fitness in BG! Keep up the good work!
I was told I was being signed up for a 1 year plan, it turns out I was signed up for a two year plan without my knowledge. The staff will not return my calls. I have called three times, i was told i would get a call back once the manager talked to his boss but it has been almost a month. I called again today to leave a message and still haven’t heard anything back. The gym is small and unclean and the staff is very unprofessional.
Nice nice sized gym with great energy. Excellent choice of equipment and cardio. Complete with turf area and studio with plenty of space to stretch out!
This is the worst gym I have ever joined. Easy to sign up for gym and personal trainer but hard to end either contract. The manager cannot help with ANYTHING and does no financial stuff as they out source everything. I was injured while working out (my fault) and the trainer that saw did not even come and help while I was sitting on the floor bleeding. worst gym ever!
Dirty facility with potential. The staff was very nice but doesnt seem to be much help with issues. Everytime something is brought to their attention it seems to be over there abilities with even the simple things. The members also seem to not care about other experiences here, while I write this review there is someone listening to their own music out loud drowning out the gym music and another member who came in with a staff member is talking on the phone so loud I can hear her conversation across the gym.
First, I will say that Jake and Katie at Anytime fitness are absolutely awesome, and have inspired me greatly, but like other reviews Ive read..they are way overpriced and stick you with contracts you didnt sign up for! My husband and I both signed up last year around the end of November, I took advantage of the cyber Monday deal, so was only locked into a 1 year contract. A few days later my husband signed up and was told he was on the same plan as mine..now they keep saying that he signed up for 3 years! Oh and my husband was told that my membership would be cancelled out..well, lo and behold I checked our bank account today and they have taken money from our account!! Thats it! I hate to do it but my husband and I will be closing out our checking account so this doesnt happen anymore...Anytime Fitness, you have crossed the line!
Terrible place. I signed up for the “get the summer for free” deal, which lets you sign up in June and not pay until September. Was not told whatsoever that I was entering a binding contract for any length of time, let alone THREE YEARS. I wouldn’t commit to anything for that long, I don’t even know if I’ll have the same job 2 years from now. I never would’ve signed up if they had said anything about three years, but I was the first customer this guy signed up since he was hired. The staff is terrible and there’s borderline harassment... they won’t stop calling and texting you, if you bring a guest, they won’t stop calling and texting your guest. The only way you can get money off your monthly fee is if you refer a friend, but who would refer someone knowing that they’re going to get harassed? You can’t cancel through the gym, you have to talk to ABC financial, who is absolutely zero help. Cant say anything about the other locations, but I’d stay far away from this one.
Worst gym membership experience hands down. This place has very few machines, terrible tanning beds, and when I moved and tried to get out of my contract A YEAR AGO, it has been absolute hell. They have zero respect for their customers and keep trying to get more and more money out of me in order to cancel my subscription. I already paid out what I owed with ABC financial and they neglected to tell me I had to pay a separate charge of $30 that month and refused to cancel my account now unless I pay another $95. It’s corrupt and a total fraud, this place just sucks up your money. I have subscribed to a new Gym and it is 10000x’s better. Do not waste your time with ANY anytime fitness gyms, because ABC financial is garbage too.
This gym is awesome as is the staff. The facility is clean and up-to-date. I highly recommend Anytime Fitness in BG and I have recommended it to friends who love it as well.

Jake was the contract manager around open, I tried to cancel the membership within 24 hours however he kept dodging my calls now Im stuck in a 3 year b.s. contract. I was told that I had a week of trial before the contract would begin to test the facilitys and make sure it was what I wanted. With the horrible customer service, false promises and truly no way to cancel the membership I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!!!
Money Hungry! They trick you into a 3 year contract, offer group sessions and trainers but dont tell you thats an extra $100 dollars! Awful place! They have half as much equipment as PLANET FITNESS and charge $30 dollars more! This place is bad bad news. Stay away, dont waste your money, dont get trapped! Planet fitness all the way!
Do not sign a contract with these people. They do not care about you or your life. They care about their bottom line, money. They will take the money from your account even if you have no money they will overdraw your account. Also its supposed to be Anytime a 24/7 fitness center that offers specials like tanning. Except they dont tell you that a worker has to be there for things like tanning and that a worker is only there during regular businesses hours so if you work 2ed or 3ed shift youre screwed out of that despite the pact that you still pay for it. Planet Fitness is so much better, has more machines, ALWAYS has a worker there to help you and is $30-$50 a month cheaper. Save your money- dont come here.
I really enjoyed working out at Anytime. Ill be at the BGSU rec now, because I want to workout with my friends in college. Regardless, Anytime had great equipment and the 24 hour aspect really seals the deal. I worked out there for almost 14 days straight. I went various times (morning, noonish, evening, night) and it never seemed to be crowded, which was nice. However, working out with my friends outweighs the perks of Anytime. Goodbye Anytime, I will miss you.I do take issue with the picture that comes up when you search Anytime Fitness. The people in the picture are smiling when they workout...people shouldnt smile while they work out. People should be showing signs of exertion and suffering, telling themselves one more rep.
I’m super happy that this gym opened near my place. Jake was helpful my first day and the equipment is exactly what I need.
Do not sign up here! My wife tried to cancel her membership and they told her that she had to wait until the end of her contract. Once the year was up they automatically renewed it without her consent and have not been helpful with cancelling it at all! Extremely unprofessional!
Its clean and nice equipment, but no one answers the phone at all! As well as theres never a staff member there the hours that are shown.. no one is there if i need help learning a machine, or simple question. I complained once and i was told theres been a staffing emergency. You offer free tanning, but I cant tan bc no staff are there at all to start the bed for me. Im extremely close to cancelling. What kind of business runs with no staff, DAYS ON END at times.
Signed an 18-month contract with a special grand opening deal. Now I’m apparently in a 24-month one and my husband is in a 36 month one.I personally suggest finding another gym. Do not sign any contracts with this place
I am a Military Veteran, and I was told that I was signing up for the Anytime Fitness “Military Appreciation Program”. I was told that I was getting a discount, and that I would be able to cancel my membership at anytime. I was told that is a “company policy” of Anytime for Veterans, Retired, etc... I did get a small discount, but when I tried to cancel because I was dissatisfied with the facility, I was told that I had to pay the full balance of the 2-year contract. The person that signed me up had been fired for an unrelated issue, and everybody that I spoke to at Anytime told me that ‘I would not have been told that, because there is no such exemption’. The person that signed me up flat out lied to sell a contract, and then nobody at Anytime, all the way up to the Regional Office level, would stand behind their brand. They all basically told me that I am out of luck. This place is bad news. I have never had a worse experience with the lack of integrity at a business, of any kind.

Way overpriced for bad service. They only care about their money, not about you. Id give them NO stars if that was an option. They work on Contracts so once you sign that thing youre stuck with it forever. They also want married couples to pay separately at $50-$60 a month for their base membership.
After my 1 year contract ended they were still charging my bank for 2 years after. Then when i called them i had to go through a different company to cancel everything just for them to say i need to email another person to cancel. This place is a scam. Do not join! Im out over a thousand dollars! And still being charged!

Poor local management. Watch your contract. They changed days and hours my workout classes were AFTER being in it for only 2 weeks. I joined based on my schedule and the hours of those classes. What a waste.

Overpriced, patrons are often rude and don’t clean equipment after use.
We cant afford it and they wont let us out of the contract.Which they didnt tell us it was a contract when we signed up or we wouldnt have done it.

2021-11-19Used to belong to this gym about 5 yrs ago until planet fitness came to Bowling Green. When the manager didnt like my review on Facebook they made it so I couldnt comment. The membership was more here and any extras like a trainer or the tanning were extra. If my husband wanted to go to the gym with me it cost him $5 every time. Whereas with planet fitness we are both black members so we get used to the gym, a trainer if we want one, Tanning which by the way they have booths or beds,plus other privileges as well as being able to take a guest at no extra cost. I did like the trainers at Anytime just not the manager at that time. I was not mean about my thoughts but I did not think it was fair to be basically silenced because I was not happy.

2021-11-08Their element training company straight up stole $420 from me after I have been saying for months I was going to be done when my one year was up and I was tricked into another month which, as a single mom with no income, is a lot, and they cant reimburse me. Thats ok, me and my baby dont need that money, they need it more than I do. Im talking to my daughters lawyer I have about it next time Im there.

2021-05-18One of the worst experiences with a business in my life. Not professional and the manager will take days to get back to you. DO NOT SIGN UP FOR THIS GYM. You will end up paying more than you can even think of. I informed them to cancel my account and they continued to charge me because my cancellation letter (which was delayed because of COVID-19) arrived so late. They rarely answer the phone and will not return messages. This is an unprofessional gym and I cannot stress enough that THEY WILL SCREW YOU OVER IN SOME WAY. Whether its fees or just not being available to talk to. I hope they comment “sorry about this but its our policy or you didnt cancel” but sorry won’t give me my money back and the lack of customer support is astounding during a NATIONAL PANDEMIC. 1/10 staff led by a 0/10 regional manager. I wish I could give it 0 stars.
