They don’t actually care about these animals just the money they make from it. There vet is also terrible they spade my dog and did some handy work on her stomach. The stitching job was terrible and is still partially open. When we asked to use the vet they use AWL ‘s response was not our problem it’s past the two week mark. Smh what a joke!
Just got a little guy named Spot although we changed it to Zeke since he was a puppy. Superb caring and knowledgeable staff. Animals were well taken care of. Got extras including bed, treats, and a few other things plus neutered, micro chipped, and up to date with vaccinations, dewormer, and flea and tick. All for $200!! Older dogs are $150.Go and check it out you wont be disappointed.Zeke (white and brown) with his new buddy Cooper!
This place is pretty good!! We fostered Torte the kitten (Her original name was Winnie) until we could adopt her. Probably getting in a cat fight, Torte had a wire in her bottom jaw. We started fostering her on December 11th, and We adopted her fully about 3 weeks ago. They left the wire in her jaw for a little longer but it is okay because she is a very healthy kitten now!! We took her to our vet the other day and she is doing great!! We didn’t pay a cent for the wire to be removed either! Thanks AWL!
The people who help with the adoptions are wonderful, however whomever the woman is who works the front desk and answers the phone talks right over top of you and doesn’t allow you to actually speak. Definitely recommend going here for the animals and other staff though, even if the woman on the phone is extremely off-putting.
Does this face pull your heartstrings? All the dogs, cats, bunnies, small pocket species are available for adoption. Special packages are available depending on their breed category. They are well taken care of here waiting on YOU to adopt. They have special caretakers and volunteers assisting their forever family to bring them home. Will you be the next fur-parent?
I was actually here working as a contractor but I love their mission, the dogs were well cared for and the facility was very clean, I wanted to bring home every dog that I saw and show them what its like to be loved. If you are thinking about getting a dog, check here first and when you look into their eyes youll see why it was a great thing to come here.
Ive adopted a cat Ive had from several years from here, and she was well taken care of before we got her, and has remained healthy over the years, no issues have cropped up that were hidden from me. The staff is friendly, and they even do events were kids can go and read to the dogs.
Very disappointed when I was there looking at the dogs. Noticed a dog growling and showing his teeth, but the card about him said friendly, good with other dogs, and playdates. Which makes me question bringing one home. How accurate are there cards. I was not the only one he did this to.
Amazing experience adopting our cat 1.5yrs ago. The facility is so clean and well managed. The cats are living amazing lives while they wait for their forever homes. The staff is kind, friendly and professional. It’s obvious they care so much. Everything you can ask for in an animal rehabilitation and adoption center.
Oh my goodness, if I could give them ten stars I would! Theyre so great to their animals, toys and comfortable beds in their kennels. They have a play place for the dogs, their staff is super friendly and very informative, its refreshing to find a place that really puts 120% into their efforts. Worth donating and volunteering, as well as adopting.
Couldve given this place 100 stars!! If only all shelters were like this one. Large green spaces for the animals outdoors. Surprisingly large kennels. Open, airy, well informed pleasant staff that were familiar with every individual animal. I didnt find a match while there but will keep checking their site.
Its very evident how devoted AWL is to the animals here. The huge facility is outstanding! Im always amazed at how clean the enclosures always are! There are separate meet and greet rooms to make it easier for animal and potential adopters to interact. Its nice that AWL has room to house small dogs in a separate section of the building and the bigger dogs in their own area. The cats in the center. Its easy to see the loving and caring attitude in the staff and volunteers every time I visit. God bless them! Dont shop, Adopt! Im always surprised at the pure breeds that show up here. If thats what youre interested in. If I lived closer I would love to volunteer here. You can be confident your next companion animal will be well evaluated for a good adoption.
Friendly staff. The animals seemed to be well taken care of and in nice, clean kennels. I really wish more people would volunteer for them. They could really use some more people in the adoption areas. It felt a little isolated as a walked through. Overall, I think that they are doing a great service for this community.
I needed some assistance with food for my dog and they went way and beyond helping me to make sure my baby had food. Very friendly I never even knew that place was there thank you so much for helpingThere are great people in the world at first I was kind of embarrassed to ask for help again thanks and god bless 🙏🙏😉
This place never ceases to amaze me when I am there. Staff and volunteers are always, always super nice, friendly, and accommodating. My wife and I dropped off some canned dog food as a donation and decided to walk around and look at the dogs available for adoption. As a dog lover it was heartbreaking for me to see all of the dogs that were surrendered by their former owners. Then I noticed that a lot of them had signs that either said they were adopted or had pending applications for adoption. The staff here do their job!! We also notice how well taken care of the dogs and cats are. There is no secrecy here as there are windows allowing you viewing opportunities throughout the building. Great Job guys!!
From the second we pulled up I noticed the old put put course was turned into a very cool dog park. The baseball field is a frisbee park for dogs. And the staff is very well trained and friendly. The cats and dogs are all very happy and always have clean cages and they also have a variety of other adoptable pets that are taken just as good of care for. And the prices are so low youll want to adopt more than one. But just know ahead of time if you are not well equipped to care for a pet then dont bother because background checks are required and they are thorough.
Very clean place, the animals are well cared for. The staff are carrying and helpful. We got our furbaby there. He is a mixed breed , I call him a newfodore ( Newfoundland/ Labrador) his name is smokey. Dont know what I would do without him. I highly recommend this place
Love this place took my very nervous German Shepard took the vaccine clinic and it was so easy and everyone was so nice and sweet and did an amazing job with my boy Hercules I would highly recommend them and btw i got his distemper and 3 yrs rabies shot all for $16.00 which is unheard of next vaccine drive i totally recommend 👌
Looking for a kitten! They have lots of kittens right now, its kittie season. Very clean, well-attended by technicians (animal specialists) and able to answer any questions. The only drawback is they treat prospective fur parents like children by calling your landlord and evaluating your current pets. The guidelines should be suggested not legal enforced, these are kittens born feral and are lucky to find a forever home, imho, thats all.
I went there to look for another one that i could give a hone after having to say goodbye to my Angel cat. I went looking and they had a litter of pups name sparkle a through e. I fell in love with this little pup that waa so scared. His Kennel name was Sparkle D renamed Lucky. Iam so glad i was able to give him a home staff is very helpful and friendly
They are doing a good job but need to be open better hours and help people know more about their animals and the healthy choices that are available for them opening the walk in the summer for more hours would be a great draw for people getting events on how to care for your kritter with children would be great more information and involvement with the community as a whole would definitely benefit everyone
DO NOT ADOPT A DOG FROM HERE!!!!! Thanks to them, I know have a kitten that has broken ribs and internal bleeding from a dog the told me was cat friendly ! They gave me attitude when I called them and said he has to come back because a dog nearly killed my kitten and they seriously said “so you’re returning him”? With absolute disgust in their voice. Never going back there again and I hope nobody else does!!!
Called about a dog I found who had an injured toe. I figured I would call and ask how to get the dog some help while i look for owner. The lady who answered wasnt very nice, she had kind of a bad attitude and she offered no help whatsoever other than We arent a vet, take him to a vet.

2021-12-19Wonderful facility - brand new, spacious, clean building. Caring employees. I saw a picture of an adorable little Chihuahua mix and drove all the way there from Cleveland to get him. Monty (AKA Buddy) is the perfect match for our family. Hes a sweet little dog who loves everyone. So glad we found him!

2022-02-22They were pretty busy when we were there on a Saturday. The adoption worker who went in the room with me and a cat seemed to know the cat pretty well, which was nice. The cat was listed as having a high likelihood of being good with kids, and that was accurate. He is good with my toddler, which is such a relief. She calls him her best friend 🙂

2022-02-22I wish I didn’t even have to give them a star but I have to for me to write a review. They came and took two cats off someone I know. The cats were well taken care of I know this for a fact. The person they took the cats from has been taking care of animals all her life. These two cats have been together since they were born and now will probably be separated. I think you all are terrible.. I’m sorry. We all know that cats are not likely to get adopted out like dogs are. It’s just sad. How about you worry about animals that are really abused by people instead.

2022-02-10I had got a cat from AWL in 2016 and I still have her. Just love the cat!! I recommend AWL they are wonderful. The animals are well taken care of, immunized, clean, spayed or neutered and my cat was microchipped. She stays indoors. You cant go wrong with AWL😁🐱🐾🐕

2022-06-07Theyre going to help me with the stray cat I took in. I believe shes from the Early Rd house that had up to 100 cats. 😧I named her Bingo because shes a Calico with Bengal tiger colors. Going to get her fixed along with her 4 kittens. Hopefully some nice families will take the kittens and love them as I do their mother Bingo.
