Anthony was an amazing technician! He truly cared about me as a customer and took the time to explain everything he was doing. He was patient with me when I asked questions and made sure to answer them thoroughly. I learned a lot from his service visit. I highly recommend Anderson Automatic Heating and Cooling for all of your heating and cooling needs.

Price gouging was an issue with this company. They bid $1,100 for a job that the next company bid $350 to do. Keep reading for more details. With the warmer weather coming in I went to turn on my AC and found that my AC unit would not run. I found Anderson via a Google Maps search and their 4.4 star rating at the time provided enough credibility for me to give them a call to come take a look. When their technician arrived he quickly found that the unit was leaking Freon and was able to repair the leak with a quick valve replacement. The next step was to replace the missing Freon (Freon 410 in my case). However, before he informed me of this, he called his office and discussed some things. When he came back from his phone call, he told me that his coworker suggested trying to sell me a new unit, but he talked her down in order to save me money since he could see it was just the leak that was causing the units issue. He told me that the front desk people at his company prioritize selling new units to make more money (I would have had to shell out $3,000-5,000 for a new unit). I appreciated him letting me know this and sticking up for me at the time. However, maybe those of you reading this review are less naive than I was. I would allege now that he was never recommended to sell me a new one, but rather fabricated that in order to build a false sense a trust between us. I would argue that this was just a clever tactic to butter up a customer in order to increase the odds of them accepting a wildly overpriced quote.Anyway, on to the next step. We scheduled a time for him to come back out and add the Freon. Thats when he gave me the quote. He said it would be $1,100, and although I dont recall the full breakdown, one of the charges was $450 just to bring the truck out with the Freon. For those of you who dont know, Freon comes in a gas tank about the size you might find on your standard home grill. I allege now that this charge was fictitious. Additionally, the quoted price for the Freon was strange. He quoted about $90 per pound, with the first pound costing an additional amount. Do a quick Google search for the price of Freon 410 and you will understand what a farce this quote was. Not knowing what the proper cost of this work was at the time, I scheduled Anderson to come back the next day and finish the job. Once the technician left, however, I jumped online to confirm averages prices of comparable work. I found that the price range was expansive, and his quote did fall within it, but at the highest end. However, the lower end of the range was much more desirable so I called another company and asked what they charge per pound for Freon. They quoted roughly $25-$35 per pound. The only other costs were the standard service call cost this particular company charged of $69 plus labor. I scheduled them for the job and cancelled with Anderson. This other company ultimately came out and fixed the issue for a total cost to me of $350.I am very disappointed in Anderson for their business tactics that I experienced. I hope anyone who decides to use Anderson will check and double check that the quotes they get from this company are fair, and I recommend, no matter which company you deal with, to always get additional quotes.

We had Anderson replace our entire heating and air conditioning system. They came out within hours of our call and inspected our system and gave us our options and an estimate on the spot. They set up a time to install and had their crew there in a timely manner. They were very efficient with their work and were very clean and considerate. We bought the upgraded system and couldnt be happier. The temperature never changes in the house, is spread out evenly and is so quiet that you cannot hear it. We highly recommend Anderson Automatic!!!

I cannot say enough nice things about my experience with Anderson Automatic. They did an extensive project with us. They do great work, they come when they say they will, the dont shy away from follow-up questions and are just really, really nice people. I consider myself extremely lucky to have had them recommended to us!

These guys are terrific. They installed two systems in spring 2017 that were relatively complicated to do in a very old house. AC units/blowers/heat pumps etc. Had some issues dialing everything in because of the complicated home dynamic and they were very responsive and patient in helping us find the best solutions. We continue to use them for maintenance twice per year and their service techs are timely, efficient, courteous, clean and just generally good dudes. A true family business that does what they say they’re going to do, and they do it well. Thanks.

Previous owners of the house used Anderson so for the past 1.5 years we continued with them. They’ve been in our house numerous times performing maintenance and we’ve asked on numerous occasions about why the system doesn’t work well. They recommended we reinstall a second floor return and seal the ducts. The work was completed and I immediately informed them it did nothing because the return for the second floor wasn’t correctly finished. They’ve been back multiple times to assess and the Tech always agrees they need to finish the work but nothing happens. This week I had 4 other companies come look at the system to replace it because it doesn’t work well and it started to condensate. We’ve found glaring issues including a major flaw with the 2nd floor return they should have seen and fixed. The last tech who came to my house to do maintenance also messed up our fan on the outdoor unit. He told me it was bent and “fixed” it. The entire unit shakes violently now, which I showed to another Anderson tech, and nothing is being done. I have to constantly call them to do anything. Never using them again.

The previous owners of our home graciously agreed to replace the furnace before we moved in to our home in January. They selected Anderson Automatic. The heat worked well through out the winter. We were told that a technician would come to the house to make sure everything was installed correctly and that the A/C was ready for the warmer weather. We called and left several messages. When we finally reached them they said we could use the A/C, but they they were so backed up with work that they would have to “call us” when they could set up a time to book a technician. That was over a week ago. They still haven’t contacted us. The A/C is not working. We had it on for about 4 hours and there was not one degree change on the thermostat.

In 2016 my heat pump stopped working and Anderson came out the next day which is convenient, but i feel like i got robbed. Around $70 for a service call which is fine, then it was another $110 for them to fix the problem. Which was him unplugging something and plugging it back in. Then is was another $100 for him to replace the part. All this took like 25minutes and the bill was almost $300.Im sure Anderson does great work but there are cheaper places in the area for basic fixes to your A/C.This year, 2017, I just called Geiler down the road and Im happy with the service and price they gave me.

Always professional. They never try to sell you more than you need like most hvac companies. Thats why they are the only company to get my business for my personal home and rental properties.
