The service was above and beyond what we could have hoped for! My family were traveling through last night on their way home from seeing family and being in the hospital which my Mom was only released 2 days ago. and needs medical care when They needed a safe and healthy place to stay to rest for the night. The room was clean but even more, the service was fantastic. The woman was compassionate, and even helped freeze Moms ice packs for her medicine that she needs for travel. Thank you so much for being a safe, caring, and clean place to stay!
Positive: Rooms that I had were great, very convenient having an outside door, beds were comfortable and rooms were clean and big free, staff was friendly Negative: Tv could have been bigger, 32¿ is rarely seen with how cheap TVs are now, parking with a pickup and trailer was a little tight but manageable
Rm 121 bed is broken and we could barely sleep on it. Smells of cigarettes and weed. We needed to remove the top blankets due to cigarette burns and age. Bathroom was nicly redone, and I can tell that they are working to upgrade the hotel. But, It is a motel and a last result for people on the road. Rooms should be $60 and not $140 in late August.Keep working on it.
Front desk employee was not the nicest and or experienced person. Like they absolutely hated their job. And only had one beverage vending machine. But what I liked was there was a huge gas station right across the street that you could walk to that had everything you would need.
Positive: Convenient location, easy access, pleasant staff Negative: room cleanliness, poorly functioning air conditioner, housekeeping not permitted by management to enter room during stay; advertised breakfast consisted of plastic wrapped sugary items, prepackaged fruit(e.g. fruit pieces in sugar syrup) and cereal.
Godawful experience. People in next room screwing all night screaming...yelling...moaning...crying. Laying here trying to sleep at 5 30 in the morning. Front desk did nothing to quiet these disrespectful heathens. Burned our lightbulb...run down...no elevator and metal things sticking out of the beds. Dangerous tripping hazard. Already scraped my foot on it. STAY AT ANOTHER HOTEL.
Affordable rates. Safe location. Clean rooms. Friendly and accommodating staff. As a traveling tradesman that stays in hotels often, Id have no problem returning to this location. Its perfect for my companys needs. The only complaint is that the laundry facility has been out of order.Even during this current period of social distancing, they manage to keep their guests stocked with clean towels, garbage bags, and always have fresh coffee available from behind the counter.
We paid $296.06 for a jacuzzi room for just 2 nights. the place needs an upgrade. the jacuzzi was ok besides top part of the spiket being busted off, the room was just outdated, there was a hole in the bathroom door. checking in was horrible. they charged my card twice and tried telling me that i didnt pay when i clearly did and showed proof on my banks app. the lady had to call someone to get it fixed. she was nice, just an annoying situation to be in. ive never had that happen, took a while. after all that, come to find out the wifi has been down. and they gave me a hotspot password that didnt work at all. no hot breakfast. the only thing i liked was the nice firm king bed. i dont know if its just me but for that price i expected better. Even tho we had a nice time enjoying Ashtabula, we probably wont be back to this place. And no i did not make any complaints. i just simply wont be back. theres just for sure better service and better places to stay.
Receptionist was very nice, we had to sign a paper saying we wouldn’t smoke In the room and got to our room and it reeked of cigarette smoke with smoother awful smell. TV did not work. We complained to receptionist and she very kindly moved us to a new room, we got to our new room and it smelled very clean, our tv however had a white line down the left side of tv screen, because we traveled all day and were exhausted we stayed in second room, I guess you get what you pay for, I would not recommend this hotel but the staff are very accommodating,
Non smoking rooms severly smell of cigarette smoke. Hair dryer didnt work. Blood stain on my bed comforter. Poor craftsman throughout building. Dont believe me? Check out the tile baseboard while your checking in. How embarrassing. Tell the front desk your room smells like smoke and they will give you another one that smells like smoke. The front desk person was obviously sick. And of course I had to stand there WAY to long to get checked in. I wanted to walk out but my card was already ran while I waited. Stop acting like you have non smoking rooms when you dont. Your rooms are worth $35 tops you just leach off travelers.
The outside quality is deceiving as the inside is not nearly as nice. Very dated rooms with minimum effort. Would not have stayed after got in room except for an incredibly long travel day with little ones who were ready to sleep. Shower and bathroom were not kept up and things like dirty shower heads that need to be replaced and old tiled shower walls that have had no signs of upkeep. There were no blinds on the window and the curtains did not keep the light out. Noise from traffic was very noticeable even with air in room running and a white noise machine.Glad for fridge and microwave in room. Not happy about one of the bed frames being off and the metal frame sticking out in the aisle about 4-6”.Check-in was quick and straightforward as was parking, but would not say this was worth the $102 price tag at ALL for a low budget place to stay. Would expect more like $50-$60. Disappointed and wished we had stayed elsewhere for a more comfortable and restful night. This is not America’s best value Inn in our opinion with 20+ years of traveling the US.
The hotel room was more than I was explaining. I ended up with a suite. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. I would definitely stay here again and the price was great. We had a family event and compared to what my other family members paid at the other near by hotel I definitely hot a steal. Loved everything about the stay.
Paid for a jacuzzi room when I arrived i got a basic room no jacuzzi a stand up shower the TV remote didnt work smelled like Marijuana. Was told that they dont reserve jacuzzi room online evan though I paid for it. Wouldnt give a refund. I left and went to holiday in didnt get what I wanted but atleast they had a clean room. Thank you for your reply to try to make yourself look better i did not order the wrong room i evan showed the screens hot of what I ordered to the staff and he did nothing didnt care was told that. The room i ordered isnt available online then he walked away to go back outside and smoke a cigarette while on his cell phone like he was when I originally arrived
Greta was a god send !!! Me and my sister came to the area for a night from WV .. literally everywhere was booked for the night .. not that this hotel was our last choice or anything we just didnt know about it ... but Greta took amazing care of us making sure we was comfortable and had everything we needed !!
We needed a place to sleep for a few hours on a long road trip. The hotel is located right off the highway and booking was really easy through trip advisor and check in didnt take long. The rooms were simple but clean! We were on the first floor end room and we were nervous about noise but had no issues. The breakfast is very basic... overall Americas Best Value Inn Austinburg served our needs and met expectations.
The room was dated but clean. I expect that with this chain. No problems there. I asked for an outside room, but didnt receive it. Instead I was put in a corner behind the front desk. It was all tile so the front desk clerk and her friends voices carried. No problem, Ill just turn on the fan to cover up the noise, but the fan didnt work properly. No problem, Ill just sleep in, but the maids were loud in the morning. That is one of my biggest pet peeves. I pay 50+ dollars to sleep and not be bothered. I shouldnt have to deal with your inconsiderate staff.
Im not giving 5 stars because it was the most plush and luxurious hotel Ive ever stayed at, but because it so exceeded every expectation I had for one of the cheapest hotel rooms along my route. Everything was simple and exactly what I needed. The staff was incredibly friendly. The room was clean and large and even had a small fridge. I was delighted to find a basic breakfast waiting for us on our way out, saving me a $12 visit to McDs. I will definitely stop at this hotel in the future and will not hesitate to stay at other Americas Best Value Inns as well.
The rooms were a good size and clean. The beds were comfortable and the air conditioning worked. They could definitely charge more if they updated the bathrooms and fixed the vinyl wallpaper. They include a quick breakfast without a sitting area. We got here on a a Saturday and paid $119 (before taxes). Compared to other places it should be $70 to $80 in my opinion.
Just needed a bed so dont expect much. Woman working the front desk was super nice. Got checked in to a room with an adjoining door around 10pm and the people in the adjoining room didnt sound like they were going to bed anytime soon. Could hear everything. Thankfully the front desk gave us another room without question although the TV remote only turned the TV on and off and nothing else. Oh well, its cheap and has a bed.
Our room was clean but did not smell good. The hotel clerk did not have any air freshener but gave us another room instead. The stuffy room smell was only slightly better in the 2nd room even after using my own air freshener. I believe the air conditioning system needs cleaning or is not easily cleaned. The clerk said many times to let him know if there are any problems. He truly wanted to address any issues we had. Breakfast was ok and we were told that if we wanted a hot breakfast then we could get a discount at Dennys across the street. The morning clerk said that they will put an ionizer in the rooms (for a day) that people have told them are smelly.
The beds are so hard very uncomfortable,,,I slept on the floor Fr Fr I will never stay at this place again I would rather sleep in the car or the ground, even a park bench is more comfortable than the beds that was in my room.... And the remote for the TV was ghetto missing the back where the batteries go and it only worked if you was right up on the TV it was joke.... Never will I ever stay there again I would much rather stay at a homeless shelter no LIE!!!! REAL Talk!!!
Just one bed in the room. Only needed one! How nice not to have unused bed just sitting there. Appropriate furniture included writing desk. Good Wifi. Quiet. Good A/C. Easy control. Truck stop grocery and take-out across Route 45. Traffic, but stoplight permits safe pedestrian crossing. Great place for a good nights sleep.
This is a VALUE inn. The beds were comfortable and room was clean. Place is older but still has a refrigerator and television. Very inexpensive. If you are looking for a inexpensive place to stay this is the place. You get what you paid for though so do not compare it to some of the extravagant hotel chains.
Staff was very helpful and friendly. Place is needs updated. Beds were hard. Our biggest reason for our low review is when we came back to the room to go to bed, we pulled back the covers only to find blood on the sheets. BLOOD!!! We called the front desk and they took care of it immediately and was very apologetic. Next day we went to check out...they apologized again and only offered a 15% discount after we asked, ON OUR NEXT STAY at that facility only. We doubt we will ever be in that area again and for the same money we paid, we will stay in a place that we know is worth it. This should have been a $50 room not $120 :-/
This isnt a bad place to stay, but its also not a great place. If youre looking for somewhere to have fun with the family then keep on moving and to the neighboring hotels and spend the $130 a night. But, of you just need somewhere to lay your head for the night then Americas Best Value will do. The building, rooms, and contents are a little dated but I didnt see any creepy crawler which is good. The one nice thing is the balcony on the second floor, which allows you to stand outside and enjoy a beer with out the fear of legal repercussion.
I just needed a place to sleep for the night. I am a truck driver that is usually home most nights but occasionally take a longer run that makes it impossible to get home within my legal driving time. So this is close to when I made a delivery. Had room for truck parking and has a travel plaza across the street. It did take a while for the air conditioning to cool down the room even on a cool night. No microwave or coffee in the room but both are in the lobby. No frills but I only needed a 10 hour break. Bed seemed firm and sheets clean. Good for what I needed it for but not exceptional.
Place used to be better. Booked 4 day stay with late check out at noon Extended stay 1 more day. 11 am front desk and housekeeping start calling. No one put in our late check out request. Its Its only 1 hour difference come on really? What happened to the customer is always right?
The only reason I give it 5 stars is so it can be seen . First when we got there we went into the room and autimatically smelled smoke so someone had been smoking in that room. Me and my mom looked past it and just opened the window to air out(they wouldnt of been able to give us another room till next day) The rest of the stay was great (we stayed 3 nights) the beds were very comfortable, breakfast was good. Over all it was great for the price and faculty was very nice !!! Well on our last night my mom wakes up and a bed bug was on her she killed it this is room 210.Now we checked the beds the first night but we checked again and there were TONS of black stains within the creases of the bed which is from the bed bugs. It was in one bed not the other I will say but the black spots were convered well. We check out early and even after telling them and showing them the issue we didnt get anything in return , free night nothing. We were planning on returning until this morning :/
Booked on priceline w/a pet...stayed 3 days. They waited til after we checked out and left to bill my Credit Card $20 extra. We called to find out why??...They told us it was because I had a dog and the room I was in was not a dog room and had to be cleaned????....I thought ALL rooms were cleaned ANYWAY..... WILL NOT BE BACK THERE...
My Fiancee, Laura, and I were exhausted, and anxious to get to Niagara, so hotel accommodations for that night werent priority on the gotta have list. HOWEVER a room was important and 2 other hotels we tried were sold out. There were not many cars in the lot, and we shrugged that off, and asked for a room and price. I was surprised by 1) the pleasant and accommodating attitude of the clerk!2) price was low!3) she upgraded us to jacuzzi suite, just because it was late, close, and empty4) super clean! (Even the comforter!! ) LolAnd5) breakfast until 11!Look, if I could I would clone- not try to copy-editing itd failBut clone that visit. EveryTIME- EVERYTRIP
Negative:I highly doubt these guys clean the bed sheets after each customer. There was hair on the sheets and the pillowcase. The carpet needs to be replaced because it looks nasty. I refused to walk barefoot on that carpet.Positive: it is affordable, they have cable and wifi. Its a place to sleep.
After leaving in the middle of the night from a nasty hotel in Geneva on the lake and throwing away $100.00 all we wanted was something clean comfortable and cheap .. we found this Gem the price was right the room as clean and simple besides we were only staying overnight :) slept like a baby ! Also the lady working at the front desk was very nice and had patiences with me lol I was very tired and Im sure sounded like a moron at check in . will def go back if we are ever in that area again..
I had stayed at the Ramada next store the previous night for a ridiculous amount of money for what you got. I called Americas Best Value Inn first thing in the morning to see if they had any rooms and the woman was able to help me out for a fraction of the cost of the Ramada and I must say the room at Americas Best Value was much better and cleaner.
Nice place. Says its handicapp accsessable. I on the other hand disagree. Nice rooms. If your traveling i believe its a cheap and comfertable place to stay. They are pet friendly to! There is dennys across the street at flying j. Where you can enjoy a nice breakfast but if you dont want to leave they offer free breakfast in the morning. Right off 90
Besides the fact there was without a doubt BED BUGS eating away at my flesh while i was asleep and when mentioned to staff she became extremely defensive and made every excuse in the world up.... It was ok. The complimentary breakfast consists of either a pre-packaged bowl of cereal or a package of oatmeal...(only one) and a styrofoam bowl of hot water and a small styrofoam cup of orange juice. Honestly... I wouldnt even give it 1 star but this form isnt giving me the option to not give it a star.
After booking the room they emailed me to inform me that there would not be any amenities available to us .reason I booked room was for that reason only , to have them say no an not adjust the price with a NO REFUNDS. DIDNT WANT TO WORK WITH ME ON THE $ .STILL MY MONEY AND I GET NOTHING.
Only reason i even gave 2 stars was for the friendkt front desk women this morning. Stopped last night was priced online for 71 total .got to hotel they charge me 103 total. Told me i had to fo thru them. The room was tidyish but the beds in room 205 in austinburg OH is busted and broken and bows in the middle my husband and i sank to the middle all night had to start early at 6am stopping at 11pm was just needing a clean room and c9mco bed got neither. Ol boy from night before said hot breakfast yah bagels. Cause i said hell 100 buck 30 difference we could go to hilton w food. Very disappointed hopefully this experience will be made correct..
It was okay...I was born and raised in the area and we had family from out of town so some of us stayed at Americas Best. I knew I wasnt staying in a 5 star hotel we just needed somewhere to rest our head and it fit our need.I would stay here again if I need somewhere to rest my eyes.
I was told that this was only $50 a night and then upcoming to $89 a night for one adultwas about $30 in tax in night tonight even have a refrigerator microwave in your room and have a stand up shower thats falling in and sliding into the drain that you cant even stand up straight and then they need to fix this place up

2022-03-15Positive: Staff was polite and helpful! Negative: Room 219 was tidy but carpets were dirty. We had to keep our shoes on. TV broken. Were moved to a bigger room free of charge as they had none like ours available. Clean and tidy! Smaller/less expensive rooms should be cleaned as thoroughly as others!

2022-01-25Positive: that there was no disappointments. What I really wanted was a clean nicely equipped room in a great location to I-90. Staff was very friendly. Negative: The breakfast was really nothing to brag about just some cereal and drinks but that was not what I was relying on.

2022-06-27Boss /manager Cathy is the worst. Stayed 3 days was told to stop back for same rate she was totally rude and did not get offered same rate but $50.00 and told to go to the red roof inn. Which I did and the best choice was excellent. Jammie was great at the Americas best but her boss Cathy is horrible. Red roof is great.

2022-06-26People were nice. We booked with Expedia. No issues checking in. But it took 30 minutes because the people ahead of us used Travelocity. Apparently it’s an issue.Rooms were quiet. Beds are super soft.

2022-04-30Bed was tiny and hard for 2 people, no coffee pot in room or tea bags. Had to go else where. Was clean just to small of a bed and not so comfy pillows.

2022-01-06Staff was very friendly and helpful. I appreciated the location of the room and it was very clean. Upon checking out, was told to call them next time I would like to book a room and they would match online pricing.

2021-12-26Positive: I have been to The Best Value in many times and regret that when I make my final move back to New York from Indiana I may not be returning for quite some time. Always clean, friendly and reasonably priced...I have always enjoyed my stay here.

2021-11-10My daughter and I have been driving cross country from California and staying in chain hotels along the way, by and far this one was the best along our way, especially considering the bargain pricing. They provide a hair drier, mini fridge and microwave as well as breakfast the next day. Between the chain motels and best value youll never do wrong choosing best value.

2022-01-11Only reason I’m giving a two is cause the check in was so simple and the front desk lady was very sweet. However there were BED BUGS and ROACHES and the blankets had cigarette burns all over them.
