Horrible parking situation. Although well placed for buslines and students, the location of this facility on High street on campus was not good. Parking costs 3 dollars in the garage, once you figure out your parking options. How could this be the best drop off facility to service the entire Columbus metro?
I run here to return pretty often. Theyre always prompt and friendly! They have no parking but if you go down the alley past the UDF there are tons of meters. You just have to walk a little.I do not recommend parking in the UDF lot, the tow trucks are constantly patrolling.
Very awesome that this Hub is here. It is very beneficial. Very helpful staff, and its easy and convenient to use. To get your items and do returns, are very simple. Just remember when you use this location, it is on campus, so parking might be tough. But I always walk, so its never a problem. Hope this helps.
Amazon is truly the best! The hub locker makes it ridiculously easy to pickup orders and return orders. The staff is very helpful, and the location seems to be pretty clean for the amount of traffic they get. Parking can be tough. I’d recommend parking in the garage that’s in the alley directly behind the amazon store and other storefronts. You Can park there easily for a quick trip to amazon and there’s a walkway that leads you right out to the front of the stores.
I love this Amazon locker. It’s in a convenient location, and I usually have my passcode/locker number within a minute. They provide the tools to open my packages, materials to ship my packages back, and have flexible hours. I usually have my amazon packages delivered to the locker and not my house because the stores are so awesome.
No Parking. Parking deck out back of this place is creepy and wants an entire hour paided just to grab my package. Nobody greeted me in the store even though it was obvious I was having problems. Called cust service 3 times. Got nothing accomplished. Almost twisted my ankle trying to run to & from my car so I wouldnt get towed by the greedy company that owns the lot.
I dont really have anything specifically negative to say about the service or the building. The employees arent especially friendly, but they are quick at least. My concerns center around the location. Parking is awful youre going to be walking so be in comfortable weather savvy clothes. Theres hecklers and pan handlers all over. Coming here pretty much guarantees youll have to walk through a sketchy area with a target on your back since youre carrying a package around.
This is the first time Ive used an Amazon hub for a return. A friend told me using the Hub would cause the money to refund immediately but it does not. Since it is also free to have UPS pick up the package from your house Im not sure why anyone would go out of their way to come here.
I love living in the future! You can get in, pick up your package, and be back at your car within seconds. The only problem is parking. It seems like everyone parks in the UDF lot a few doors down, but there are signs asking you not to park there. I have no idea where else you could park. So I always get in and out quickly so as not to get ticketed.
I love the idea of this but the execution needs some work. I thought there was going to be parking but there is not. Ive had some workers who are awesome, and some who want to explain to me why theyre doing away with the pickup sign in feature that is the only reason I go and keep explaining like Im dumb rather than angry. Ive also seen the wrong package get picked up. Sometimes there are free give aways which is nice, and I do love this location for returns and keeping things from getting potentially stolen off my porch.
Quick service, friendly and helping staff. Car parking is an issue so, you have to park on the street or in front of the store which is a few feets away from the Amazon location. I dropped 2 packages. They did not give any receipt or anything but within 10 minutes I got confirmation in the email.
Wonderful helpful and knowledgeable staff. Only four stars because Amazon has nowhere to park. Finding a parking space in that area, High Street - OSU campus, is almost impossible. Amazon required the return of my electronic device be made at this location only. Bottom line, great place, but consider using the bus to get there.
No parking available without having a campus parking pass, paying a meter or risking getting towed. My package was due yesterday, and has had shipping delays until late tomorrow evening. The staff was nice enough but had no tools to solve the delayed package issue. Moral of the story: if you urgently need something (in my case a dryer part) do not depend on the brick and mortar amazon pick up store or their promise of a quick turn-around time.
Love this place! Ive only used it a few time, but its worked out really well so far! I had not packaged delivered early and it was cheaper! I plan on using it again soon when I need something delivered! Im new to the city and need a trustworthy place to have my packages delivered! This place is great.
No Parking and many of the 1 day deliveries dont arrive until like 6pm. For reference the store closes at 9pm.If you park at the UDF their is a chance you will be towed. No street parking is available. Homeless people generally stand right outside the pickup location, very sketchy.Just be cautious when using this, go with a buddy and have your barcode ready.
A great idea and service for those items you occasionally need faster than in a day or two. Learned the hard way that once you have your locker code on your phone, you dont do anything additional in the pickup location except scan your code on your locker. If you do, you create an error and the staff have to go around and get your item from the back. I know better for next time.
I like sending my packages here. Its really convenient and makes it so I dont have to worry about them being stolen from my door. They also give you some wiggle room for when to pick them up so I dont feel super rushed to pick up my things and I can pick them up whenever is best for my schedule.
I love that they now have drop off Locations. The closest one for me currently was still about 30 minute drive but the gentleman inside was great. There was a long line, I had my 93year old mom with me & package was packed, labeled and ready to go. I asked if I could just drop it in the dropbox and he scanned it right then and that was it, so we could go. I was thrilled and I dont think he really knew how much he helped me that day!
Good service and easy pick-up. This would be ideal if it had better access by car. For driving and parking the location couldnt be any worse. Especially with all the construction. Im having my stuff shipped to my house next time. Not really worth saving one day of delivery to have to deal with the parking and traffic.
I live near campus but Im not a student; I ship all my Amazon packages here since I travel a lot. It is a very convenient location and easy to use service. If you dont know what to do, the staff is very friendly and helpful. The only downside is there is no dedicated parking.
Love this place! Very easy and quick. Girl explain to me how this locker thing work. Then she ran to the back. I asked her why she did that. She said that ever since the conrovirus started, Amazon has been scheduling only one person after 3pm. So she was the only one in the store to help people with the return labels and run to the back to put packages in the lockers. She also said the scanners time them and that they have about 10 seconds to grab a package and put it in a locker before the scanners kick them out. After she explain that to me, I felt really bad for the workers at Amazon.
The parking here is impossible. I had a big sized suitcase I had to exchange. I finally found parking of a residential place. No short cuts, I carried this huge box to the Amazon center. It was terrible. The service inside was fast, no lines and I had used the return label. The store want clean. Overall fast service, impossible parking
Its a good place, bad location. Parking can be impossible to find at times. Do not park in No parking areas or you will get a ticket. Also do not park in UDF parking lot. They have now hired a tow company and you will be towed. I actually watch them tow two vehicles away in a matter of five minutes. Every time I have a pick-up, its no longer than five minutes to get my items.
Great to pick up packages and drop off returns. The staff will help if you need it but its fairly easy and great if your just popping in to grab your item. Check in while walking in, scan your barcode, door opens and your done. You can check it there and recycle your packaging before leaving. Or do a return right there if its incorrect.
The staff were efficient enough, but the location is a nightmare. If you are not fully able-bodied, pay the $8 ransom to get your return package picked up. The only available parking that is not a tow zone for another business is around the corner across a busted up sidewalk at a meter. You wont make it if you need a cane, wheelchair, or walker.
I appreciate having a physical location to pick up and return items. I recently did both. I want able to return a package free of charge and my account was credited the same day. Since I was already going to this location for a return, I had an order shipped there. Pickup was as easy as checking in on my phone, scanning a barcode on my screen and retrieving my items. The staff was friendly and helpful to those with questions. The only downside to this location is parking. There are metered spots on the street but they can be hard to get. Most nearby street parking is permit only.
The best idea EVER! No reason to buy a ring doorbell.. just have your packages delivered to the Amazon store..Quick in and out - if you have a large order pick it up at the front desk.. smaller ones are in the lockers.Only bad point.. no parking, which makes it inconvenient for package pick up..
On the plus side, everything is really straightforward once you enter. Took a minute, max, to get my package. On the minus side, there is no dedicated parking (10 min temp, loading or normal metered). So unless you live on campus, its more trouble than its worth. Took me a good 15 min to find a spot. If you absolutely must pick something up, try to get someone to drop you off and circle the block a couple times. Until they get a temp drop off / pick up zone, get your packages delivered.
I will never use an Amazon Locker Hub again. I went to pick up my packages that had been delivered to the Hub and could not pick them up because their electronic system was down and they couldnt find my package without it. I highly suggest implementing a manual backup system. I dont know, alphabetical might work...
Great place and easy to get in and out in a minute or less if picking up a package. As others have said though, parking is a pain unless you live nearby and can simply walk. There appears to be a small parking lot in back in addition to the UDF lot next door, with the building construction on the corner of Lane and High you cant get back there.
Inconvenient. I picked an order up here LAST Christmas. Processed a return this year but I am dreading taking the item, trying to find parking. The return instructions mention free parking in a garage at Pearl St. / E. Lane Avenue but provide no address for that garage. Wondering if I can return it at the Locker at Whole Foods (Granville) or at Polaris (Chuckle) or even the lockers at the Easton or Upper Arlington Whole Foods. Great location for students I am sure but I dont like driving or parking near campus if I can help it.
Awesome 1 day shipping option. Its like the future is here. Parking for this location stinks. Its not marked, always full, and in the awkward garage. Not ideal for a quick grab and go if you are not in walking distance. Its always clean and there is always a friendly employee to help you.
Sorry, but the parking situation is unacceptable. While I understand this is mainly a campus location there are those of us who live and work in the area who would like to have a more convenient way to pick up our stuff. As it is now you have to hunt and find an open parking meter pay more money to park at the meter and then go get your stuff. I often have to laugh as I see lines of people running to and from the store trying to rush to their meter before their time runs out. I bet the Amazon staff gets a good laugh at this too! As an Amazon Prime member Im really not cool with the idea of paying an Amazon Prime monthly subscription fee and then having to pay and park to get my stuff. What is the point in that?by the way, today is the first day of OSU football. Can you imagine my complete horror when I try to get there to pick up my packages and found all the parking meters will covered by police Orange No Parking bags. Oh what a lovely experience! Will Amazon reimburse me for the gas I used wasting my time trying to pick up the stuff I already paid for?
Very poor customer service. Had a cable delivered for same day pickup. The cable didn’t make it there same day which is acceptable and not this locations fault. That being said it did arrive the next day but was not updating to be available for pickup. After 2 days of it saying it had arrived but wasn’t available to pick up I went to the pickup location to see what’s going on.The girl working the desk checked the tracking on her device. It said it wasn’t available. She told me to call customer service. Customer service went on to tell me that it had for sure arrived and even went as far as to give me the name of the person working there that signed for it.At this point I asked her if she could go in the back and see if the package was there. Also asked if the guy customer service said signed for it was around. She then dished out a huge amount of attitude saying she “COULD go check but there’s just shelves and shelves of packages. I COULD but it will take a long time. I mean do you really want me to do that? It could have been mixed up in that truck over there (pointing to a truck outside) do you want me to check that?”I promptly left angrily. If your customer service person does not want to put in the effort to make something right then they should not have the job. At the very least if the job was impossible she could have handled it gracefully and without attitude.Keep in mind this is 3 days after a same day pickup and 2 days that tracking had said it had been sitting at the location. This was whoever was working October 26 around 5pm.
Great, great concept but somewhat poor execution. The location is absolutely horrible and terribly inconvenient for anyone except OSU students. Parking is non-existent. Once inside things are fairly easy and fast though Amazon could do a better job making clear how orders are packed in order to expedite checking to make sure nothing was forgotten. All in all I doubt Ill use this location again.
I am so glad Amazon has put these little pickup shops around Columbus. This one on N. High St. Is the one I always pick up at. Its not too far away from my house and I like the option to pick my items up the same day I order them. Its also great because they have an extensive list of items that you can add on to your pickup order while your there. Electronics and snacks and beauty products and much more. Its so easy to use these shops as well. There are lockers and the email you get when your items are ready will give you a barcode to scan and tell you which locker to go to. Then one of the lockers will pop open and your items are there. I have never had to interact with the employee working but it is nice that someone is there in case I did need assistance. Great idea Amazon!!
Amazon has made this simple. You walk in, scan the bar code on your phone (in your email), and a locker pops open with your package inside. It takes less than a minute.Dropping packages off has been just as fast and easy. The location is right next to OSU. Its a great option if you live somewhere that makes delivery questionable.
I found it difficult to find parking (although they list free parking in their information I ended up paying for parking anyway along the street). Although it is easy to mail back returns here (I had never returned anything this way until then and staff didnt seem very helpful). I think Ill stick to other ways of returning items.
This is very easy to access and very convenient. However, dont expect the employees to care about what you have to say or have answers to any questions you may have (unless, it pertains to the locker itself). They are completely clueless (even about truck arrival times). If your product isnt there, you might have to call Amazon.
Mixed feelings on this, if it was located pretty much anywhere else it would be absolutely great. After Amazon established their presence in this building, the parking lot on the corner was demolished to build a Starbucks and the parking lot behind the building was demolished to build a private parking garage where all the spots are owned and reserved by other businesses in the area. The UDF on the south corner has 7 non-handicap spots everyone fights over. Beyond the insane business plan for the only walk in location in the city to have absolutely no parking, the UPS driver had to just park in the street with hazards, its a great idea. You walk in, and after youve acquired your check in code their system will tell you your package is ready and which kiosk to use, scan your phone and a locket door pops open with your stuff inside. Love the idea, hate the execution.
The legendary and notorious Amazon locker is just across from campus and could not be in a more convenient spot. Super easy to drop off returns and have packages safely shipped to. This is a great alternative if you live in an area where your packages wouldnt survive on your doorstep.
EDIT 04/07/19 - CHANGED TO 4 STARS FROM 3.A few days ago, I received the eyeshadow palette and tote bag that had been reported as missing last month. Still dont know what happened to the apricot scrub, but because I finally got my palette and tote, and have been receiving all of the items Ive ordered since my last review in a timely manner, I raised the review to 4 stars. If I continue getting my stuff with no issues, eventually Ill put it back to 5 stars. I do like the option of buying online to schlepping from store to store (but brick and mortar buildings ARE still useful, even in this digital age), so Im glad I can order from Amazon again. As long as I receive my orders, theyll keep me as a customer.EDIT 03/09/19 - LOWERED STARS FROM 5 TO 3.I initially sang the praises of Amazon@Columbus in the review below this one. But today, after NOT RECEIVING a package (2 packages, actually - 2 different items that were supposed to be in the same locker) for the SECOND time in ONE week, Im hesitant to continue ordering from Amazon. There was an item I ordered the previous week that showed on my account as having been picked up, but while I got an email saying it was ready for pickup, I never actually picked up the package. The only explanation I can come up with is that it was placed in the wrong locker, and someone else picked it up, and never bothered to return it to the pickup center after opening it. I called customer service and the person I spoke to said to wait another day for it to show up, and if it didnt, they would ship a replacement. I checked the next day and it didnt arrive, so Im waiting on my replacement. This past Thursday, I checked the Amazon shopping app and it said my 2 items were delivered that day - and the delivery date was a day or 2 later after when they were supposed to arrive. Anyway, I wait for the pickup email and it never shows up. Today, I went there to pick up an item I ordered the other night and inquired about the 2 items. The employee entered the tracking number and nothing popped up as far as which locker they were in. She advised me to call customer service, which I did, and in the end, the items were determined to be lost and a refund was issued.Im not happy about being disappointed a second time in the same week. I am leery of continuing to order from Amazon, since I cant rely on my stuff being delivered to either my home address OR the pickup center. If someone from Amazon is reading this, consider coming up with better quality assurance measures to ensure that the items are scanned as delivered AFTER they arrive INSIDE the pickup center, and the employees place the packages in the correct locker, and think of how to better determine what exactly happened if a package isnt received. No, you arent psychic and mistakes happen, but I dont like feeling as though I have to go to the actual warehouse and pick out and take my own stuff, because Amazon is beginning to become as unreliable as the postal workers who would screw up my mail delivery.TLDR version - This service isnt as awesome as it was at first. Use caution. Try not to order anything you really, really want, or that cant be found in a brick and mortar store.OLD 5-STAR REVIEW BELOWI LOVE having this as an option whenever I order something from Amazon. I have Prime, so I get free shipping on eligible items. The reason I like this so much is because 2 or 3 years ago, the people delivering mail to my address would either leave my stuff sitting out, even if it could fit inside my mailbox, or they would deliver it to the wrong address. So I stopped ordering online, mainly from Amazon, because I got tired of worrying about where my stuff would end up. But now that Amazon has a pick up center thats easy to get to, Ive been ordering more frequently from Amazon again.
In and out. Right to the point walk in drop off your return or pick up your purchase. They have all the supplies you might need and its mostly self service. If I had to give a quick suggestion it would be to incorporate touchless sign in with a QRC/barcode so guest dont have to interact though touch screens when printing labels but thats just me being picky. The location was clean, accessible and speedy when assistance was needed. This review was written in July 2020, Covid protocols were being implemented and enforced for the record.Thank you
I have problems about half the time I visit the store. I either have problems with the app/website, have to wait a long time to get my package, cant find an employee to help me, or cant do something basic such as a return. How does an Amazon store on a college campus not allow textbook rental returns? On the bright side, the free 1-2 day shippinhis convenient and the store looks nice.
The store is awesome, and its great having a brick and mortar Amazon location in Columbus, but the location is terrible. I get that they want to be centrally located, but in the middle of a college campus where parking is at a premium is difficult. I frequently work in the area, but they really alienate their customers who cant walk or roll up on a rent-by-the-minute electric scooter.
Clean & simple setup.I order a lot through Amazon. I also run a small business though, so being able to pick up packages in my off hours is great. However the hours are inconvenient! I dont understand why the lockers are not available 24 hours similar to a P.O. Box. Also worth noting that parking is a real challenge during the day due to high traffic.I will update if Amazon works on the current issues with this location. For now it simply does not deserve a higher star rating.
Great concept, terrible location and hours. First, I generally send packages to work because the carrier for my home has had a bad habit of giving my packages to the wrong address or otherwise fail to deliver. So I thought that a retail pickup for Amazon would be great for when I needed it on the weekend, but I was wrong. No parking anywhere near the store, and opens at noon on the weekend? Guys, come on, there are more than useless college students that would like to pick things up from you. Try adding a location in a useful part of Columbus with more reasonable hours and I might try again.
While its awesome that this place exists to pick up packages from Amazon that I wouldnt want sitting on my porch, it does have one huge downside, parking. Unless you want a long walk with the items youre picking up, I would suggest having someone drop you off and pick you up.
Definitely aimed at those living on campus. NO dedicated parking. Unless youre willing to carry your package to your car up or down High St., keep getting deliveries to your home.I can see this being beneficial, however, if youre going out of town for an extended period and want your package to stay safe.
Convenient if youre in the area and you want to do an instant purchase, but dont trust Amazons hype about one-day shipping to this location for other items. We ordered some items and had them shipped here instead of our house because Amazon promised one-day shipping, and, well, we needed this stuff fast. One day turned into 3 days, with Amazon pushing out the scheduled delivery date at the end of each day, meaning it would have been faster to have it shipped to our house. What a waste of time.
I absolutely love having a local Amazon pickup store here in Columbus. The conveniences of next day delivery even though I have to come pick it up is totally worth the trade-off of home delivery. Unfortunately accessibility to this store is hampered severely by being downtown with almost no parking to speak of. Amazon should rethink their plans for this type of store and try putting one in a shopping complex in the suburbs instead of downtown.
It is okay place, it will be helpful if Amazon provides a cart or trolley for bigger items to move around...as there is no close parking or reserved parking for Amazon...we have to have to park in the roadside for any pick-up or return....so we need 2 people so that one can stay in the car...other on to goto store for pick-up or drop-off....please consider this.
Great concept but the location and parking is the worst! If you think your going to pull up to the store and think your going to return something or pick something, up! Your in for a rude awakening! I recommend just paying for shipping and handling and return items to nearest UPS store! Parking is a B!#$%
Inconvenient location - street parking only, lots of High st construction. Then I received the wrong package - I scanned my package code straight from the app. Guys at the counter didnt know what to do. Ended up having to call customer service, to which they refunded me and requested I place my order again. Kind of defeats the purpose of One-Day Pickup. If you have a problem with packages getting swiped from your porch, I can see this being a great alternative (just make sure to check your package before you leave). Otherwise, just do shipping option so you dont have to deal with the hassle.
This location is only beneficial if you live within walking distance. Otherwise save yourself the hassle of parking and dealing with the traffic on N. High Street near OSU and just head up to the Amazon Locker location at Polaris. The location up there is hidden but at least you arent waiting 45 minutes just to park to run in and then run out...
Just venting... Ordered in-stock items as gifts on Sunday with paid one day delivery to the local Amazon store at OSU for convenience (and supposed delivery speed). Its now 7pm Tuesday and no packages, no email, no update, no tracking information. Amazon customer service said the items were shipping from the Columbus facility but they have no way to track. Why? How is it possible that Amazon does not know where the packages are and does it really take 2 days to ship across town? At least if you ship UPS or USPS they provide tracking information. I should have just shipped to my house and delivered them myself. Live and learn.Ordered on September 17, 2017Shipping speed: One-Day PickupDelivery estimate: Tuesday, September 19, 2017 by 8 PMUpdate Sep 22, 2017 - The status now says it will be delivered today by 8pm with a UPS tracking number. Amazon (Lockers) admitted that they were having issues, apologized and offered some compensation which was a nice gesture. He said that my items were still in stock at our local Amazon distribution hub but did not know when they would arrive due to apparent technical issues. Shipping to a local Amazon store sounds like a wonderful idea if and when they can make it actually work but for now I would avoid it if you really need your items delivered according to your shipping option. As of now I still do not have the in-stock item that I order with 1-day delivery last Sunday and its now Friday!Update Sep 22,2017 - Item arrived Friday afternoon.
Great offering from Amazon. Just walk up, scan the code and the door with you package in it pops open. Bing, bang, boom. My only real critique is access. This will be great for the OSU student or those living around the campus. For the rest of us who have to drive down parking sucks...its campus... That said. I park in the UDF go in, buy a soda and walk over to Amazon. I consider it the convenience fee...
While an employee finally helped me print a return label, she was reluctant at first because as she said the store is supposed to be self serve, even though at the time I was the only person in the place. But she had time to bop out the front door to look at the colorful lights on the ambulance that had just arrived. Well Amazon, put barcode scanners on your returns kiosks. Its real cumbersome to have to put in login info into everytime I get a return label printed. If I can scan to pick up packages why not do it for returns? The fact that this is not possible is quite incredible considering Amazon is all about efficiency. Please make this change. Especially at this store being one of the most popular in the nation Im sure. Thanks. The woman who helped me finally was nice btw. Dont throw her into the Amazon dungeon.
Itd be 5 stars easy IF there was parking!!(Considering all the $$$ Amazon rakes in, one might think they could spring for a location w a small lot.)Be prepared to drive around looking for a meter in the crowded campus district, then finding one put a quarter in it, and walk a bit.Other than that...service fast, curteous, and friendly.
This is a tough one. The idea is brilliant and so easy to use. To the same day pickup rocks as does their updates they send. The best. My problem is that it is located directly on high Street in the middle if the OSU campus. Perfect for students. However if you need to drive there, its one of the worst places in Columbus for parking.
I have had many delivery problems since amazon started delivering. They never deliver to the correct address. The delivery drivers (for Galloway, Ohio) are not careful with the merchandise. This last order is going back. I am about to stop ordering from amazon since UPS stopped delivering. Worst adventure they ever thought of. Leave delivery service to the professionals!
Parking is a nightmare. Parked at UDF two-doors down from Amazon for literally TWO minutes; tow-truck driver waiting around the corner and about to hook-up my car the minute I came back. Tow truck driver also said that even if you buy something in UDF, the minute you leave the UDF parking lot, they will tow your car.
Amazon Prime has instantly become a hassle for returning merchandise. Congested street with no parking can be difficult to visit via motor vehicle. The place was obviously created for college patrons. Amazon should open an easily accessible central location without delay OR start allowing free Prime returns at UPS again. Current situation is sad for working adults.
This is quite possibly the coolest thing Amazon has ever done since Prime 2-Day shipping. It is easy to find and has a HUGE Amazon logo outside on the building. It was extremely easy to use. Granted there was no parking, but I just parked at UDF and went next door to Amazon. I also went to UDF and Id bet Amazon brings them a ton of business. Anyway all you need is the barcode. Head to the correct locker section. Scan it, and a locker pops open. Take your package and leave. You dont need to check in with anyone or do anything else. If you need assistance, they do have actual people working at a counter to help. Plus you cant beat 1 day pickup. Holy cow this is an awesome concept that I wish I discovered sooner!
I accidentally delivered a USPS package to this facility and I hoped I could still pick it up. Went there two days after the package was delivered and after they signed off in my name to accept the package, they returned it to Amazon instead of eBay where it was originally from. Now I have to go through the hassle of finding my package.
Helpful staff at the desk. Of youre picking up get your pickup code from the app not more than 15 minutes ahead. Then make sure you only go to the touch screen at the locker bay number indicated in the app. Their usps deliveries have been getting there late in the day as of writing this.
Great alternative to packages sitting on your doorstep. Allows for same day shipping of Amazon goods from the Columbus distribution centers. When you arrive, scan the barcode Amazon sends you at the appropriate locker. The door opens, and you take your package. Thats it.Parking can be problematic, but thats to be expected given that this is a campus location. You may need to park at a meter and walk a block.
No near by parking. I went three times to try to drop off a large package and never could get a spot within a distance that I could carry the package. I called the number associated with the store and was connected with Customer Service for all of Amazon. They were unable to connect me with the store to figure out a game plan for dropping off this package. Very disappointing. Whats the point of having a location thats inaccessible for people that dont live within walking distance?
People there are very helpful. This was my first time using the facility and I was very pleased. Unfortunately, construction in front of the building makes access inconvenient right now. I just hope limited parking is made available for patrons in front of the building.
No access from parking garage. You need 2 people, one in car idling at UDF and other to run inside for you. LIMITED spots on street in front. You best have Amazon App to locate/release package.AMAZON JERKS: DESIGN FOR OTHER THAN COLLEGE STUDENTS (Parking/LOCATION/HOURS) Jerks!
For being Amazon, I’m VERY DISAPPOINTING (regardless if storefront is new or not)!!!!We ordered something and had it delivered to the amazon pick up location for one day shipping. NUMBER ONE PROBLEM- when I ordered it, it said pick it up anytime today until 9pm so we went after work around 3:30. We got there and it wasn’t delivered yet so they said to wait until the app said it was delivered. Well let me tell ya.... We just went back to the store hours later because the app and email confirmed it was delivered and scanned. They told him it was still in route and wasn’t even there yet and they didn’t seem to care🙃🙃NUMBER TWO- The location is on Campus and with construction going on, you can’t find parking anywhere!!
Overall Im a big fan of Amazon there for Film It Center is downtown so parking is difficult but you know what comes with the territory Downtown Columbus is a freaking nightmare for parking just like any other major city Amazon has excellent customer service Ive actually been having a lot of trouble with my Amazon Fire TV attachment and Ive called twice or actually Ive called 3 times but two times they credited me with digital copies of brand new movies each one was $16 a piece so I got both of them free they had they had Hulu contact me they had a customer service contact me they actually called me back and now they are processing a refund for $70 for my device so you know thats really good so Im very happy with them overall
I park at cvs and shop at CVS while getting my amazon locker code then put my cvs stuff in car walk across street get my amazon order and go home. This amazon store isn’t parking friendly but support the local business with parking around there and then walk and get your stuff.
Pleased with the service, but parking on High St on OSU campus..4get it, u have 2 park illegally & u better make it quick so your not ticketed or towed. NO PARKING for Amazon customer vehicles. This location is strictly 4 students of OSU campus that r walking or riding bikes.
Terrible! This is quite possibly the most inconvenient place in the city to locate this store. There is zero available parking, and traffic + construction issues make it even worse to get to.To make things worse, Amazon is forcing Prime customers to drop off returns here instead of at a UPS store THAT HAS PARKING.
It is really unfortunate that this is the only amazon drop off center in Columbus so far. I gave the same feedback in the review that Amazon sent me as well, but heading anywhere on campus for a simple errand is a pain. Plus the lady who staffed this was rather rude.
This place is of the chain. Everything is so in order just as you would expect Amazon to be. There is staff onsite to assist you in any pickup or drop off complications. I wish it was a little more roomier, it can get crowded at times. Overall an awesome place to come in and take care of some business.
I want it even faster than a drone. You can get thousands of items in just 2 minutes.A drive for me, but saved on shipping. Free returns if you drop it right here. Free Packing supplies available(see pic).Pick up was very cool. Wave your barcode on your phone under the scanner and a locker door pops open. Grab and go.Not sure if they are participating in the Amazon Pantry items. I saw an employee come out of the back room and scan her phone. A locker door popped open(see pic). She grabbed a Gatorade, and went back to work. I looked it up. If Prime or Prime Student(6mo free, then $49) you can use Prime Instant Pickup(see pic). Apparently they are going after the impulse buy students in the area. Thousands of items under the menu of PIP are stocked right here. Need a snack or beverage? Order, walk inside, scan, BOOM! You just received something about as fast as a vending machine. Thats not all. School and dorm supplies. Device chargers, cords, and accessories. What about large things that wont fit in a locker you ask? Thats what the live attendant is for. Scan at the kiosk, and your name pops up on a display screen. They bring that must have PS4 right out to the counter for you. This can be a dangerous concept. I see that you can even buy PIP buttons now for refill items.I know a friend of mine gets cases of beer through Amazon delivered to his porch, sometimes next day. I wonder if this is similar for pantry items.I am so curious for a family member attending OSU next year. This will be a safe way for her to get all her packages safely, and quickly. I assume now all students want Amazon gift cards.XP#UpCloseSavor
Columbus is one of the fastest growing cities in the nation. Why is there only one of these sites? There is absolutely NO parking available. Such a deterrent if you are not an OSU student.Amazon was considering Columbus as one of their locations to place their additional headquarters. Why is the only one site in the entire city, in THEE MOST inconvenient location?!?!?!? Absolutely ridiculous!
Amazon@Columbus is a lifesaver for me. Theres been a problem in my neighborhood with packages getting stolen off of peoples porches while they are at work during the day and its nice to be able to have my shipment set somewhere where I know that theyll be safe until Im able to get them. Best of all, I can get things more quickly (usually) when theyre sent to Amazon@Columbus. Park on Frambes Avenue if you can find a space.
Prime member. Ordered a bike lock Thursday night. I need the lock for Monday morning to lock my bike at work. Amazon promised delivery by Saturday. No email and no notification on Saturday, but per tracking the package has been in Columbus since early Saturday morning. Checked Amazon account on Sunday and now indicating delivery on August 29. Called Amazon and Alex in the Philippines said he would check with USPS and get back to me today about the status. He also promised to extend my Prime membership a month.Anyone else notice a steady decline in Amazons service?
Pretty easy. Make sure your smart phone is turned on and ready to run the Amazon app. Once that is done, make sure it shows a barcode. Go to the locker number indicated on the app , scan barcode. It will then open the door that has your order. They do have staff on site. The number for the Columbus Ohio store leads to Amazon corporate I believe. In addition future reference I think it also replaced a store called universtees that was around that area.Great to know, unlike other locker locations that only give you and extra 72 hours, the store allows for an extension total of 15 days before the shippment is returned to Amazon and you get a refund for your order.
Amazon pulled down my linnies and delivered nothing but an undercooked sausage link between my hams.1-Day Pickup is 100% bloody bullocks.Unsure when Ill get my order of materials needed for an interview tomorrow, but I know Im going to look like a retarded potato during it thanks to them.
Had similar issue as Previous review with 1 day pickup at same location, shows delivered but not ready for pickup. Called customer support they attempted to call the store and the support rep came back on the line and even said he was sorry the store rep would not help him and he was very mad, the guy on the phone was trying to help but could not do much. sounds like amazon has some logistics to work out on this. they were using local courier and they are closed today so not sure what the tracking is talking about most likely is just delivered to couriers office. should have just used normal prime and got it delivered to my door today.

2022-06-07Do not return here! I returned something on May 30th and was originally told I would see my return in 7 days, called in to check and they said it would probably be 30 days before I get my refund and that I shouldve sent it UPS!

2022-01-23Maybe good for students, but otherwise impossible parking so return drop-offs arent really possible. Ive also had 2 out of 3 returns not make it to Amazon when returned there.

2022-02-01I had to return a larger box with a dolly thinking it would be a pain, but the parking is conveniently behind it. You do have to pay but it was .75¢ for 30 min.
