I usually ALWAYS stay at this hotel when I’m in the city but now I’ll choose to stay elsewhere. Front desk staff is VERY rude and condescending with the exception of the 2 men that work in the evening. Housekeeping entered our room 3 times before check out even the housekeeping supervisor (Kia whose also extremely rude) entered our room.. I will NEVER stay here again.. I will be reaching out to corporate!
My family members always stay here when they come and visit. Ive been in many times. Its so nice inside! The staff is always so nice, areas are clean, and pet friendly. I love the bar and pool. The rooms are decorated so nice. Makes you feel like youre in a mini resort.
Ive previously stayed at Aloft hotels in Minneapolis and Milwaukee. My positive experience influenced me to book a stay at the Aloft in suburban Columbus, and Im glad I did. From the moment I drove up and entered the lobby, everything was perfect. Excellent decor, professional yet friendly front desk worker and the speed with which I was handed my room keycard. But the real star is the room itself. The king size bed was so very, very comfortable, and the pillows were nice an fluffy. (Quality linen!) The bathroom area was splendid, especially the walk-in shower (with built-in dispensers for shampoo and body wash --nice touch!).The view from the windows is unmatched by any hotel in which Ive ever stayed. Floor-to-ceiling windows, with room darkening shades. All this added up to the Aloft, once again, meeting my (already high) expectations. But Aloft exceeded them after I returned from having dinner, and a solo pianist/vocalist was performing in the lounge area.No matter what city my business or personal travel takes me, Ill ALWAYS stay at an Aloft Hotel if theres one in that town!
Stayed here for 6 nights on business. Super clean and modern looking. Staff was always friendly and helpful. During my stay, breakfast bowls cooked on demand, at a cost, Wednesday through Sunday. The food was tasty. There is also a small, but well stocked panty area for frozen/refrigerated/non-refrigerated items available any time. Microwave available in the pantry area. Complementary water, coffee, and tea also available in lobby. Indoor pool and small exercise room that is available 24 hrs daily.
This hotel was different than any others Ive stayed in, but Im so glad I picked this place! It seemed either very new, or very well kept. My room was clean, very comfortable beds, very friendly staff who could give directions and points of interest, and I also received great dinner recommendations! It was very well designed, and though it might have been a small room, you would not notice because of how well it was put together and thought out- there was no wasted space, but plenty of room for everything. Ive never had a room without a bathtub before, but loved the shower- nothing like a nice, long, hot hotel shower! I would certainly stay here again!
Front desk staff extremely rude ( in exception to the lady who was working she was very polite) I think if you’re gonna be in the hospitality business customer service should be of the upmost importance. Oh well I had high hopes for this place overall hotel is in good condition.
We are a family of four visiting for the weekend to see friends and the Columbus zoo. The hotel has clean and well-equipped rooms. Comfy beds/pillows, good water pressure in shower. The lobby and hotel grounds we also very clean and I loved the trendy decor and vibe of the hotel. My kiddos enjoyed the pool, which was clean and private. Friendly staff. Great location off the freeway with several stores and restaurants nearby. Perfect spot for our weekend in Columbus,
We have enjoyed 3 stays at this Westerville ALoft over the last couple of months. Why? Because the operators of this hotel care about the presentation, friendliness, & cleanliness. The pool area is very nice and there are outdoor common areas that are safe & comfortable.Rooms provide all that is needed.
Worst birthday ever....I should have went back to Aloft Easton.Toilet broke called front desk and all she said was thank you. We had to listen to the toilet run all night couldnt sleep. We went outside and the front desk worker locked the door. Why Im a paying customer. I want a REFUND
Loved staying here. Clean and inviting. Actually wished we stayed longer. If I ever visit this are again, this is where Ill be staying. The room actually smelled and looked new. The people working at the hotel were genuinely nice folks wanting to help and make sure everyones stays were enjoyable.
This was one of the best hotel experiences we have had. The staff was extremely polite and friendly! Any request for extra towels or pillows was met with a level of professionalism that made you feel they were happy for the opportunity to be of service. Pet-Friendly is not really the correct term for this location. It should be “Pet-Welcoming!” We did not have our dog with us, but we were very impressed by the bowls of water and treats ready to greet your furry friend as soon as the enter the location. Everything was very modern, convenient, and clean. We will definitely be back again!
This was such a nice place to stay I wish all of our nights could have been in a motel just like this! The bed was comfortable, the surroundings were clean, the view out the front windows of the sculpture of the horse was beautiful. Demar welcomed us and made every effort to facilitate a enjoyable stay. I dont usually like to get in a pool but this was a welcome treat, and we felt it was clean and safe. The music was nice and calming in the pool area. We even took a few minutes to shoot some pool. Certainly enjoyed the quiet calm there at the hotel. We did not have anything to eat but it looked like there was very tasty healthy food available. The coffee was delicious.
The hotel was beautiful and clean. The staff were absolutely perfect and so kind. The set-up throughout the hotel was filled with plenty of things the kids and adults could enjoy. The room were very comfortable and very practical. We were so pleased with our experience as a team with multiple rooms from booking through check out and everything in-between. Thank you and we will be back.
Great staff. Breakfast available. Indoor pool. Fluffy towels. The rooms are compact but comfortable. Cozy. The closet door sliding over the coffee service and safe area is clever. Only negative for me was the fairly small desk. Free parking and the location is in the middle of a large shopping area with tons of restaurants. Easy access off the freeway but far enough away there wasnt any highway noise. Overall very modern, friendly and comfortable.
We do like Aloft and many other Marriott properties that are pet-friendly. It was also nice to meet and chat with fellow pet owners who gladly talk about their canine family members. The staff was always ready to help with any issue. One concern was the loudness of the rooms A/C when it was running. We assume this happens in all rooms.
Excellent front desk staff. Location at the junction of I-270 and US-3 with access to shopping and restaurants. Was always easy to get into and out of the parking area. Offers live music, pool table, and bar. Has a pool but not a hot tub. Aromatherapy was so strong you could taste it! Rooms are laid out in more European style. Halls were very dark blue like walking down a hall in an old spy movie. Free coffee and tea offered in lobby as well as in room.
This was a great 3 night stay!! First time and we werent sure what to expect. Super friendly and accommodating staff, very clean and cute rooms. Super comfortable beds! Whole place is very inviting. I will say the room is just a tad small but the designers did a phenomenal job of making great use and functionality out of the space! I would stay here again in a heart beat!
The customer svc was great. At check in and check out. The room was spotless! The shower was awesome! The bed was super comfortable, and so were the pillows! I also loved that you guys had a bag of treats for my dog at check in. I do a lot of traveling, and stay at many different hotels. I have not been impressed with any as much as this place!
They charge me $155.16 for king and also took $233.32 cent and they not stop there and took out $199.82 cents out of my account and Elizabeth told me that she can check the camera and because of that she want me to called the police and death me not to file for dispute and if I do she’ll take me to court and I said so be it

Front desk staff were great and were able to give me a new room after discovering my bathroom door did not close. Cleaning staff…interesting. Please do not bang on my door before check out to ask when I’m leaving. They were extremely loud in the wee hours of the morning to the point that I could not even go back to sleep. Will not stay again.
Arrived at the hotel and got my room. Except the first room they provided me was clearly not cleaned before they sent me in. The bed was stripped and never re-made and The bathroom was filthy. So I went back down to get a new assignment. No big deal right? Wrong. My second room was just as filthy. Moldy and mildewed shower. Rust on multiple fixtures. No soap, shampoo, etc. And an absolute 0% chance I’d stay in there. But hey…no big deal right? Just go get a third room assignment and take it from there. Ohhhhh boy was I mistaken. The third and final room once again had a filthy bathroom with moldy showers and at this point I’m livid. I took my keys back and had them refund my entire visit so I could find a new hotel altogether. This was highly unacceptable as far as cleanliness goes and easily the worst aloft location I’ve ever stepped foot in. They have a lot of work to do in this spot.
Wonderful staff and theming, great style and accommodating of the staff. Only complaint was the thermostat and a/c in the room was a little noisy and inconsistent as far as regulating the temp overall- but not enough to change my mind on how great the stay was. The beds were amazingly comfortable.
First stay at aloft hotel. Had a wonderful greeting by the staff and was very helpful. Could not find a luggage cart anywhere and had to take several loads which didnt start our stay off right. The rooms were nice and we really enjoyed the layout of the room. The lighting was a little strange and there were only a couple of switches that controlled a lot of lights. So if you had to wake up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom you switch the one switch and half the lights in the room turn on. It was quite jarring.
I love staying at aloft. It’s a very sleek hotel with friendly staff. It’s a great value. I do wish they’d pay closer attention when cleaning. My room door and wall next to it had pop spilled down it and was never cleaned. It was easily visible in a frequently used area so that was disappointing.
The hotel was prime location for all of our outings while visiting Columbus. Everything at the hotel was excellent during our stay. The staff 10 🌟. Demar, Nicole and Tony made us feel as we were home. The rooms immaculate. Pool and outdoors beautiful maintained. I would definitely stay here again.
This hotel is consistently well maintained and the staff courteous, respectful, kind, thoughtful and friendly. Ive stayed here about 4-5 times and each time, Im impressed with this hotel. Love the gym that has all the equipment that youd want and they just added a punching bag! Yay. Also, I chose it this most recent trip because the windows open a little to allow fresh air in to the room. I value that always, but during COVID even more so.
I just got checked into my room after 30 minutes of arguing with the front desk lady that would not take my payment because she has never seen an apple credit card. The apple card has my name on it too that matches my license and other cards. I HAVE SURGERY IN THE MORNING. She refused to call anyone to ask about the Mastercard apple credit card. She treated me terribly. Made me cry. I drove 3 hours to Columbus for my surgery tomorrow and already had a hotel rip me off that I previously booked and already paid for. She made me pay with my personal debit card. This has caused me a lot of stress. I hope my bank account doesnt over draw. I really needed to use my apple card to use the 3% cash back to help me with this entire trip.
It is an expensive stay, however, the price matches the area. We travel a lot, and this isn’t abnormal. The air freshener in the lobby is a touch overwhelming. Night guy was super, we had more interactions with him than day shift, but they seemed nice also. The shower could have been cleaner, and appear larger in the ad pictures, and it’s a bit odd that the trash cans don’t have trash bags, but they were clean none the less. Beds are comfy. Large TV.
70s decor meets industrial design. Jarring colors, weird room layout, fan rattled all night... FYI There is no breakfast - unless you want to pay $3 for a prepackaged muffin. Also MORE pillows please! Only 4 on the bed and none in the closet. In the plus column the bed was super comfortable.
I had a wonderful stay with my 9 year old son. Very clean, comfortable, classy yet relaxed atmosphere. The swimming pool was smaller, but very clean, warm and offered great design so I could comfortably sit by the pool sipping a drink while he swam. The pool shower water was warm and a nice touch. The pool table, board game area was a BIG hit with my son and I. The room was great and clean, the beds super comfortable, TV nice sized, and I loved the shower! We also enjoyed the pet friendly status of the hotel. We didn’t have a pet with us, but it was lovely seeing other ppls pets. The food menus were limited, but delicious and well prepared. Staff was friendly and helpful! Also, the free and up close parking was also a great amenity!
Front desk service was great and clean, the associate even cleaned the pen before handing it to me to sign. But when we got to our room we found an empty beer bottle on the side bed shelf, making me question how well these rooms are cleaned currently. I was thankful I brought my own wipes to wipe the room down with at least.
This was one of the best hotel experiences my husband and I have had. Clean, nicely designed, perfect location. Staff was AWESOMELY accommodating and friendly at every encounter!! Beds were like sleeping on clouds. Front desk staff Tony 2nd shift and Elizabeth 1st were Great!! Bartender (sorry forgot her name) had great conversation and friendly!! They deserve a raise!!
Very nice staff, however, the heat did not work, thus our stay was uncomfortable to say the least. Water appeared all over the floor for no apparent reason at 3AM. The soap dispenser in the shower was broken; the only way to extract soap was to dip your hand in, which begs the question, how many hands have been dipped in the dispenser lately? Lastly; the exit door down the hall was a very busy door. Every time someone went through the door, it slammed and violently shook the entire room; this happened at least a dozen times after midnight throughout the night. Sleep was impossible for any length of time. The pungent smell of cannabis, and the vomit that greeted me on and around my car in the morning was enough. There is no maid service for short stays. For these reasons, we could never stay at a Marriott Aloft again. On a bright note, the staff were very kind and accommodating.
I have to say staying in hotels is always a weary experience that I’ve always avoided on past experience! Aloft has definitely changed my mind and will be on my list of places that are ideal to stay when away from home. It’s VERY clean, the atmosphere is awesome and the staff is top notch! Thank you for an awesome experience we can’t thank you enough!
We brought our twins here for their birthday and they had a great time! They have an indoor pool thats just the right size for parents who rant to keep an eye on their kids without worrying about missing a beat. The rooms have a great layout with a mini fridge and coffee maker, and the beds are so comfortable! The staff is friendly and accommodating. Theres a pool table and lounge area with a fireplace that looks through to the outdoor courtyard. The kitchen and bar are closed as a result of Covid, but there are a lot of restaurants in the area and Marriott Bonvoy members can link their accounts to Uber to get points for Uber eats orders..Overall a great place to get away! Well definitely be going back.
New hotel not ready to open. Listed as a premium hotel with all the expected amenities. Several of these amenities were unavailable. Door to bathroom would not shut. AC unit was noisy and temperature was unstable. Hotel has great potential but currently is not worth the premium room charge
Onboarding with a new company is stressful enough, let alone having no car available, but the staff here was always friendly and helpful especially in resolving a couple of issues with the open-endedness of my stay length. My only issues with the stay, which are mainly caused by the pandemic employment shortage, were no kitchen service and the bar being open only five days a week.
I booked through hotwire so the room was payed for. When I show up Im ready to pay for incidentals it turns out the hotel has been open 4 years but bought 15 year old card readers without tap pay or manual input.I tend to lose things so all my cards are on my phone and google pay. So Im told basically figure it out. I go out to my vehicle and find my PayPal card. It has more than enough for the incident coverage. swipe it approved on reader. Front desk worker looks bewildered and says we need to swipe again. Ok swipe 2 approved. Doesnt register on his computer we wait I say to him reader said approved.. sorry sir it isnt approving.I leave to try and figure something out banks are all closed. Call in and ask for manager. Im told assistant manager will be in at 11pm.Show up 11:10pm sign on front desk says someone will be back soon. 20 minutes later he shows up. Starts looking into what happened. Trying to make me feel ignorant for not having a physical card. Im persistent. He then starts digging into my previous approved swipes. Says it looks like we only need 50 instead of 100. A previous 50 had been taken off card. So I dont know what the first guy did. I know my card wont pay half of a payment then decline the rest. So I then need to pay other 50. Takes a few minutes but gets figured out.Mind you In ts midnight my check in was at 3pm. This assistant manager says here ya go checkouts at eleven have a good night. Not even a Im sorry 9 hours of your stay were voided because we dont know how to use our 15 year old card readers. As the the hotel its self.place was amazingly cool looking. And had a good vibe and atmosphere. Slept great.
One of the best hotels my family and I have stayed at in a while. Upon checking in and asking about local information bam these folks were on top of it. Our first stay at this chain, we recommend this chain and look forward to staying at another location. Than you very much for your services.
The staff is nice and the atmosphere is cool with a nice lounge area and some free games like pool, but the the rooms are a challenge. A friends room had a smell and he had to be moved, but they took care of him. Both times Ive stayed the floors in my room looked washed with a dirty mop. Its not a big deal, but the TV operation is the least favorite Ive tried. To end on a good note I love the bench seating in the room. Its great for getting ready and for friends to sit down and hang out.
Check in experience was ridiculously and unnecessarily slow. Hours prior to arrival, I checked in and paid on the mobile app- made no difference- still took 20 min. Front desk attendant was rude. He had to shout and practically get within inches of my face due to the lounge entertainment. Do not recommend.
Everything about my stay was good, except the woman working the front desk Saturday evening. She was very rude to myself and the guest I brought with me. As a black woman, do you have another woman of color treat me and I guess this way was a bit disheartening. She made assumptions about us, with no evidence. All in all she was very rude, especially since everyone else I have encountered working was so pleasant, and helpful. One bad apple, one evening did not spoil my stay though. But I thought it was important that she be called out for the rude customer service she displayed. Especially when there was no legitimate reason.
The Aloft Columbus Westerville is a gem of a place to stay. Impeccable in every way—cleanliness, service, and the rooms are great fun. The shower is stocked with amazing products and the shower itself is great! The bed is so comfortable and the layout of the room is perfect for working, sleeping or just watching some TV from the swivel chair.
I dont know why this is rated as a 2 star hotel. It is more like 4 or 5 stars. Its beautiful, clean and queit. There is always coffee and ice cold water avalaible in the lobby even during the pandemic however their kitchen is closed. There is a First Watch across the street for breakfast or lunch. Employees are friendly and helpful. Parking and neighborhood feel very safe. The prices of rooms here too are very affordable. Nice outdoor patio area and indoor pool. Even a bar here for guests that serves till 2 a.m. I was happy the last time I stayed here and thats why I came back. Very happy with my stay.
We flew in from CA for a tour of Otterbein University. The hotel is new and wasnt listed yet on the schools website of places to stay, but I found it with an internet search. We had a great stay! My request for a quiet room was noted and we received a quiet room. All the staff are friendly and helpful (it snowed overnight and I didnt have anything except my hands to scrape it off the rental car. The gentleman at the reception desk loaned me a scraper brush - I suspect it belonged to him).Very clean, stylish, and fun! Pet friendly - water and doggie treats at the entrance. Inviting lounge with nice places to sit, read, relax, play games (several to choose from). The lobby and lounge fragrance is a bit over powering - kind of like shopping at Abercrombie & Fitch! It would be nice if they had room service, but the grab and go food items worked for us because we wanted to dine out while exploring the area.Agree with the other reviewer that they should offer Netflix and other video access options.Be sure to check out promotions being offered before booking your reservation!
This is the second time weve held our quarterly meeting here and had a large group stay overnight as well. The staff was incredible -- very accommodating and always making sure we had everything we needed for both our stay and our meeting. Hotel overall was very clean and modern. Rooms were great and will be back again!
I always stay at aloft hotels when I travel. I booked this room and checked in with no problem. I was getting ready for bed so I closed the blinds. They wouldn’t go down all the way but I didn’t think anything about it. I laid down in the bed and there was this blue light that was outside the building from the sign that was shining directly into my face. I couldn’t go to sleep. It was so distracting. I was awake all night.
We could not say more about the cleanliness of the Westerville location, the staff are so accommodating, so helpful and so friendly. Close to everything.. The area is so sweet too.. Its just great. We have referred others there and are so glad to have such a wonderful, pet friendly, clean place to enjoy when away from home.
Excellent staff, definitely there to provide a positive experience. The bar area was very nice. We were there for our grandson’s soccer tournament. Everyone from age 2 to 65 thought it was awesome. We swam in the pool, played pool and board games, enjoyed the bar area after a long day. It was nice to have a quick meal there. We highly recommend.
We have stayed here before and had a wonderful experience. This past trip was not as good. It wasnt awful by any means but not as good as the prior trip. The staff was not as friendly this trip, they werent rude just not aware of things going on around them. We were greeted or acknowledged each time we entered or exited the building if they were not busy with customers last year. That didnt really happen this time. When they cleaned are room, they didnt refill the toilet paper. My husband had to go to the front desk to retrieve some, which took a good 8-10 minutes at least. Unfortunately while I was in disposed patiently awaiting his return. (check your security footage). Then cleaning staff removed our bath mat and did not replace it. I dont know what your standard room cleaning is but the coffee was replaced but not neatly or in the burlap bag as if we had just arrived. Although we were slightly disappointed this trip, it wont stop us from coming back to give it another go. See you next trip.
We had to make a quick trip to Ohio with our two dogs; and we found Aloft! What a lovely hotel with a very friendly staff. First, location was perfect...in and off the freeway with ease; very lovely room; plenty of room for my husband and two medium size dogs; no FREE continental breakfast though, but plenty of coffee:) they do offer a breakfast though; and there is a bar in the lobby...interesting! We didnt take advantage of any of the perks they offered. But it was nice to see all the fun things...pool table, games, etc. We would definitely stay there again.
I can definitely say I would never stay in another one of these hotels if they have the same motion controlled air conditioner. During the day when you come back to your room your room is warm and is soon as it recognizes the door opening or you walking in front of the sensor, the air-conditioner clicks on. That’s not really a big deal because the room cools down very quickly because of the size. The problem is when you go to bed at night and you have the air-conditioning set cool and you wake up in the middle of the night sweating because the air conditioning has shut off. then when you stand up and walk in front of the unit, it clicks back on. Call the front desk and they sent someone up and he said that it’s not connected to the motion sensors so that shouldn’t be the problem, but that was obviously not true. At one time we had opened the door and I guess it assumed we had left because the air-conditioning clicked off. So I walked over to the door opened it and is soon as I did, the AC click done. Terrible sleep for three nights. They manage to keep the hallways in the lobby is very cold 24 hours a day. You would think they would keep the hallways warmer and allow all the customers to control the temperature in the room that they’ve paid for. I don’t mind the sensor clicking on in the middle of the day, but during the night those sensors should be deactivated so guests can control the temperature in their room. Extremely frustrating and enough to make me not stay in any hotel that has these.
We highly recommend this property! We had a great experience there! The young lady who checked us in Friday night was friendly, helpful and efficient! Saturday night’s desk clerk was also wonderful to us. She was friendly, had a great smile, and was easy to talk to. The young lady who checked us out Sunday was also super nice! The room was clean, but the staff was outstanding!
There’s never a problem with our stay. Tony and Liz make sure we’re good Every Trip by letting us know they’re there for us if a need should ever arise! This Particular A’loft is never dingy dirty stinky trifling overly loud - swim area is always perfectly clean, down to the Rooms. It’s our Home away From Home, and Liz & Tony make us feel like family when there! My Family and I Love love Love Coming here to just simply Relax. .... but can y’all please Hurry & find an Bartender?!?We sooooo Miss Cocktail Hour / Drinks!
Our room was excellent, quite spacious. A great bed and a really great shower. I would give five stars but the pool was cold, both the water and the pool room. My 4 yr old couldnt stay warm. Im talking teeth chattering, shivering cold after 5 minutes in the water. Everything else about this place is top notch!
Relatively newer hotel. Fun design, modern, clean and fresh. Rooms are spacious, clean and have a good layout. Only downfall of the room is the fact that it didnt have a microwave. Staff are very helpful and friendly. The hotel has a trendy designed pool and outdoor pool with bar, during summer months (usually weekends) they have local talented musicians playing for entertainment. The hotel sits at the edge of uptown Westerville, while you absolutely could walk it, it would be safer and easier just to hop in the car and turn left onto State St (heading north). There are a number of restaurants and shopping in the immediate area, get onto Rt. 270 East and go to Easton (about a 5-10 min) drive, or head north on 270 and get to Polaris for shopping. Downtown Columbus is a 15-20min drive. Utilize Uber or Lyft to get around town or Grubhub/Doordash for food delivery to the hotel. I would definitely recommend Aloft Westerville. Plenty of free parking and great location.
The hotel is beautiful and modern but everything is too close together.. When you walk in the front door you encounter the bar, lounging area, pool table and bar... Its a fairy small area...The pool room has a shower and restroom but this hotel does not have a hot tub... That was very disappointing. On the other hand, the front desk clerk Kia was amazing... Her friendliness and personality was great! She made sure our stay was the best experience for us..
And when I booked my reservation, I requested additional towels prior to check in. When I checked in, the person that checked me in was so friendly, pleasant, and inviting. When I get up to my room to realize that there was only one and I mean one towel in my room, I called down in the purse that checked me in was no longer there, the next person in the new shift came on and not only didnt get my towel order correct, she made me come down to get it after I was already settled in for the evening. Not that great of service if you ask me for a mistake that they need. The bathroom was not dirty, but it was not clean either.
We were mostly happy with our stay. The front lobby is very loud at night, but the sound doesnt carry into the rooms. There is also a distinct perfumy smell in the lobby that doesnt carry into the rooms either. I liked the scent, but I imagine to some, it would be unpleasant. Our room was large and modern and the beds quite comfortable. Our only issue is that the people in the room by ours were having a party. The manager asked them to be quiet several times and offered to move us. Unfortunately there were no rooms available with two queen beds, and since I was traveling with two pre-teens, I needed two beds. Instead the manager gave us breakfast coupons (breakfast is not included in the price of the room), which was very nice, and eventually the people had to leave. The food offered was limited but there were healthy options, which I appreciated. The hotel is located near shopping and restaurants (drive left out of the parking lot, not right). The pool was warm enough for my kids and they really enjoyed swimming.
Great value. However when I showed up to check in there was no concierge. Just a man mopping the floors that saw me coming it with a suitcase and also saw me standing in front of the front desk waiting to be help. That man kept mopping the floors. After several minutes of not Ben helped, I decided to call the hotel and same man came out from a back room and picked up the phone and asked me if I was the person calling? He ended been the concierge. I don’t get it. Saw me with the bags waiting to be helped and decided to ignore me and continued mopping??
Base on the person who checked us in. They were very rude and instead on giving us a handicap room when I told him we are not in need of a handicap room and we had not reserved one they went on and told us that’s the only room ready,we arrived at the hotel at 5:38 and had booked 3weeks agoWe always enjoy staying at the aloft but not this time
What a clean, efficient, entertaining, modern and comfortable hotel! We were greeted with friendly staff everywhere, had zero issues, and were even able to check in early with a noon check out time. Entertainment was local and very good! Just a few minutes from downtown Westerville which offers many amazing restaurants and local attractions, and can jump on the outerbelt in seconds and get pretty much anywhere around Columbus easily. Everyone is very friendly and courteous. Even pet friendly. Highly recommended! If you have long hair, bring your own conditioner, they only have the shampoo/conditioner combination (not separate).
The room was quite comfortable especially the bed. Good layout of space with a nice shower. Enjoyed the large screen HD TV while watching sporting events. Customer service was polite and did not stick around for breakfast which seemed a bit limited in choices. Overall would recommend and I will return when back in Westerville.
A great place to stay. Loved the dog bowl with treats (despite I didnt bring my pups) and the overall ambiance of the hotel. Great location for food and easy access to the highway. One of the best hotels Ive stayed at this year based on price, location, cleanliness, and uniqueness. The only downfall was no breakfast (free). Would recommend. This was a business trip for me.
The night staff( 2 ladies at the check in ) I cant remember their names were very friendly and professional! The smile on their faces made me feel like we were at the right place !my husband and I stayed one night .our room was neat , no noise in the night . but the noise actually started early in the morning . housekeepers talking very loud in the hallway . there is a nice bar , decoration is stunning . we were very pleased . we will definitely come back ❤❤❤
Aloft is a much needed replacements the hotel that was there. It is clean, quiet, and cool! (Posting when it is a warm Ohio day) It has a modern look that is pleasing to the eye! I knocked a star for a couple of reasons. While it has a modern look, something that I did not enjoy was the bathroom. The bathroom was an open concept and was just around the corner from the sleeping area. The actual toilet and shower was behind a sliding mirror door which was cool but the lights were on one switch and when I got up in the night to use the restroom, I woke up the other people in the room. There were not many drawers to put our things in the room. The room came complete with a mini fridge and a safe (which we thought was a microwave.) At the price we paid for the room, we thought that breakfast would be included but you could get breakfast... for a price. In all, nice place. We would be back!
I liked the atmosphere of the hotel! But for $350 for 2 nights there was some short comings. Especially when my 11 month old son found pistachio shells on the ground in the room and had them in his mouth. Also 2 of the trash cans still had trash from the last people who stayed. The manager emailed me to follow up on this and never contacted me again. I am pretty disappointed.
Theyve done a lot of things right here. A lot! So first off, its fresh. Besides the fact that this particular hotel was just built, everything looks great. All the amenities, and none of the stuffiness. The employees seemed really happy and they were especially friendly. The rooms were well done with killer beds! Architecturally, its a fantastic design.
At the price we paid, we should have at a minimum, both been able to sit down in reasonably comfortable chairs in the room. the only chair was not uncomfortable, but it was a rolling office chair without arms. Food in the lobby was not up to expectations. The yogurt/granola combinations didnt appear to have been updated over the few days we were there. The lobby is very attractive in a contemporary way, probably has great appeal for the younger, party crowds. Dont think this is a hotel for traveling seniors.
Hotel looks great on the outside and lobby looks awesome, but rooms arent great. Room looked really nice when we walked in, but then noticed it was dirty. We got in from a lot of travel and were too tired to go through trying to change rooms. Scotch tape falling from the ceiling above the sink, hair in the shower, smudges/fingerprints on the closet doors, rooms not vacuumed, main lights only worked the night we got there (didnt work that next morning)
I really like this hotel. The lobby music can be loud. The desk clerks vary from frosty to friendly. Not the most amazing location. Some unsavory characters hanging in the parking lot. Pet friendly but the guests who don’t know that don’t like it. Beds are comfortable and it’s great to work in!
Great, new hotel that was accommodating for a wedding. Facilities were great and we were able to enjoy the bar post-wedding. Missing the final star due to paid breakfast items and problems communicating with staff about reservations, including people losing their reservation. Fortunately it all worked out and staff tried to help, but not without some frustrating conversations.
We were impressed with the accommodations and the look in general of the hotel. Guest-room was clean, efficient and had a European feel to it. The front-desk staff and house-keeping staff were friendly helpful and courteous. All requests were taken care of quickly and efficiently. Well definitely look for the Aloft Hotels when we travel to other locations.
This was a quick overnight with my grandchildren. I love aLoft hotels and this one was new and very close to where my grandchildren live. It provides a nice, fun getaway with lots to do even for a short stay. We played tic-tac-toe, learned to shoot pool and swim. The beds were comfy and the indoor pool had a shower and restroom right inside so I didn’t have to leave with all the grandchildren if they needed to “go”. Remarkably clean and well equipped for a fun get away!
Edit the general manager has got in contact apologized for the situation and offered and completed a parcel refund. while this doesnt fix the issue or make up for problems. its great to see they care about you after they stay as well and tried to make it right.cold water in shower tv didnt work floor of bathroom was dirty stuff floating in sink drain
Cant beat the quality of this hotel for the price. The lobby has a really cool vibe to it. The gym was nice, new and clean. The staff is awesome. Rooms are comfortable. And the location has places to eat that are in walking distance. Also a very short drive to the mall.
I cant begin to tell you how much electricity this place has. Very welcoming and inviting as soon as you walk in. Decor and music pumping through the lobby creates a great first impression. Good crowd for a Saturday night. Nice rooms (could use a few more drawers to put clothes in), Excellent lobby bar, pool and fitness facility. May want to include breakfast rather than charging however. My one beef (and one that would keep me from ever supporting them again) is that I asked for a late check-out and was told that it is only available for SPG Premium members. Had nothing to do with their occupancy (they had plenty of open rooms), but the clerk said he was unable to authorize an extra 30 minutes/hour since I had not reached Premium status.30 minutes vs. losing future revenue. Big Mistake.
My husband and I were on the way to Buffalo, NY. We stayed at a loft hotel for one night because it was on our way. After a day driving and a day of another 8 hours driving a head of us, we thought we can get a good rest at this hotel. We went to bed at 9:00 pm, but our next door neighbor were too loud. It was a suit and I think more than 5 people were in it.They were playing ball in the room, talking super loud, laughing and jumping up and down. We wait until 12, because we thought it will stop. Unfortunately they got louder. We complined to the front desk and after 20 minutes he came up and told them to keep their voice down. Unfortunately nothing happened. They turned on the hair blow dryer at 1:30, spoke super loud, jumping and... . They constantly went out and in to the room and slammed the door super loud. I travel a lot and definitely wont stay in a loft anymore.
I loved everything about this hotel. The price was great. The food/beverage selection is fantastic for a traveler/business stay. There are plenty of restaurants etc. nearby, but you could honestly survive on what the hotel offers. The bar was nice with some hot appetizer options too. I love that they have bowls of water and dog food/treats in the lobby, even though my dog was at home! The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The pool and exercise room are nice, and the outdoor bar was closed for weather but looked like it would be fun. Close to the highway. I recommend staying here even if your business event is downtown. For the savings and free parking, its so worth driving a few minutes to get to your convention.
This place is very nice and clean. Staff is extremely friendly and professional. Location is convenient to the highway and restaurants. Beds are comfortable and you can tell the bedding is washed. The live entertainment and bar area is a bonus. I’ll be staying here again.
As always, the Aloft offers very modern looking rooms, from the bathroom to the TV set up. The lobby gives you a cool tech industry feeling. Theres a nice pool and a decent workout facility. The food menu can be expanded as the current options are extremely limited, especially for breakfast and dinner. I will definitely be staying at an Aloft hotel again.
The hotel is fairly new and nice; however we were not allowed to enjoy our late check out, because housekeeping was knocking on door after 1100am, then she called to confirm we were leaving and then about 1240pm we were interrupted again to verify our late check out by front desk. Plan on leaving early, otherwise you will be asked to leave one way or another.
Aloft is a superb place to stay - not far from the airport, right off the Interstate and close to the wonderful downtown of Westerville. Layout of the hotel is as functional as it is cool. Same with the layout of the room - bench areas to do computer work, separate galley style area with frig, safe, coffee bar, sink and shower. Staff is knowledgeable about the area and super friendly.
Being from out of town I relied upon internet searching for hotels/motels within the Westerville Ohio area. After scouring throughout the description and online images of many, as well as reading literally hundreds of reviews, I found myself being drawn over and over to the Aloft. I booked our 2-night stay and it was the best decision I could have made! The environment and aura of the exterior and interior swept us up into a feeling of modern meets homey. The room was extremely clean, the food and drinks were delicious, my husband enjoyed the gym area, and the staff could not have been more genuine in kindness and helpfulness. Staying at the Aloft was an amazing experience and we will return soon!
Awesome staff make a grade A hotel. Each member will go out of their way to make sure you are happy and you have everything you need. They made special eggs for my 2 year old. Gave me extra water for my 3 girls. It is the Disney of hotels! Everything is clean, modern and comfortable . I live in Westerville and stay here any chance I get! Best hotel ever. You will not be disappointed!
We stayed in aloft for one night, it was incredibly average. The staff was very polite, the room was clean, it has a very “hip” vibe, I believe it was a more “eco” friendly hotel. PROS: Hip vibe, clean, friendly staff, close to shopping and events.CONS: There was more noise than I would have expected, especially in the halls, the AC/Heater unit was loud and kept us awake all night, the shower would GUSH water each time someone else in an neighboring room used the water, the furniture is very modern and pleasant to look at, but very uncomfortable, the padding on the seat bench was literally like a prison mattress on a metal frame, thin and vinyl. Basically the hotel that IKEA built.I would stay here again, but only because it’s 7 minutes from my in-laws, and I wouldn’t stay here for more than one night. My experience was just average, I’ve felt the same about cheaper hotels so I was a little disappointed that I’d spent more money thinking it would be a little nicer, and could have stayed somewhere else for less for similar quality. I basically checked out and felt like “eh it’s a hotel”.
I checked into Aloft after traveling for almost 10 hours. I wanted to clean up so I jumped in the shower. When I got in, I found long black hair all over the shower walls. It was nasty but I had been traveling so long, I just wanted to get clean and settle in. I washed the hair down the drain and cleaned up. After the shower, I was standing at the bathroom sink and when I looked in the mirror I seen something on the shelves behind me. When I turned around and looked, it was someone’s leftover bra and panties. I ignored the hair but this was too much. I called the front desk and asked for a manager to come up and told them what to expect. The manager and housekeeping came up and seen what I had described. I then told them about the hair. The manager placed the undergarments in a bag and then said he was sorry again. While I appreciate the “sorry” there was no customer service of “let’s change you rooms” or “let us clean this room again for you”. It was just “sorry”. I dont know but just the doubt of uncleanliness leaves a big red flag about the stuff that isn’t found.
I really love this hotel and stay here everytime I travel to Columbus for work. They have literally thought of everything. Everything is modern, fresh, and well planned out. The fragrance in the lobby could be toned down a little...its extremely strong and hard to handle. I love that they often have live bands and activities going on. My last stay was a hit disappointing. I got a room with a door that wouldnt latch and a view of the back of their sign. So they moved me to another room which was handicapped and the shower was made for someone in a wheelchair with an extremely low shower head. The room wasnt the cleanest either. I thought maybe they just must be short on rooms, but after staying there two days it was clear there werent many people there. But Im hoping it was just an off stay and they will improve on the next visit. I will definitely be returning either way.
Management missing in action at the a loft hotel in Columbus. Management leaves running the hotel on Fourth of July weekend over to an experienced immature staff member. Management was unavailable when Cook did not show up for breakfast and when the junior staff member was trying to get in touch with management. This hotel is poorly run and left to an experienced young team members that are trying to do their best in serving Too many hotel guests on their own. This hotel needs a new management. Overall the hotel rooms were nice and the lobby area is fun for kids to hang out. The outside area is nice however it feels deserted if the outside bar is not being used. Again lack of staff to attend to hotel guests.
Had a great stay and everything from start to finish was executed perfectly. The staff is all on point, and well-trained even considering theyve only been open for three weeks. The only suggestion I would make, is to allow the TVs to receive Internet access for Netflix, youTube, etc. A lot of the newer hotels have this feature and it is very much welcomed.
Hands down the best Aloft I have ever stayed at and I seek Aloft out every place I travel. You can tell how much the management and staff really care about this brand and the hotel. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. Extremely clean rooms and lobby. Great Music, food and cocktails. The bar inside and outside are absolutely gorgeous, this place does everything right!!! Thank you for my best Aloft visit yet!!
The accommodations at ALoft were nice. The double queen room was a little small for three people. Missed a restaurant style food option for breakfast. Also, the live music in the lobby/bar area on the weekend was was too loud for holding a conversation. Amplification was not necessary.
My bathroom was dirty! Hair on the floors and in the shower. A crumbs on the floor near the bed. Rooms should be spotless for the price im paying. Also they over book at this hotel. I reserved a room with 2 queens, and when I arrived they told me all the had left was 1 king room. They only offered me a 10 dollar off breakfast, so not worth it. They dont even have free breakfast.Stay at the Holiday Inn much better!
What a gorgeous hotel! My room was so clean and its very modern, I love it!! I love the staff at this hotel, they are very polite and engaging, they really made my stay a memorable one. The Wxyz bar is amazing as well!! Thank you for such a great experience Aloft Westerville!!! I will be back!
I had the pleasure of hosting a surprise party for my mothers 70th birthday at the Aloft Westerville in May. The staff are beyond AMAZING! Be it Sales, the front desk staff, maintenance/set up staff, to the bartender, everyone handled my needs in a friendly, professional, and genuine manner on each shift. I reserved a room, and I was pleased with the comfort, the amenities, and the amenities given to my pet. The meeting room was perfect for my event, and Jason and Kabo were very helpful answering my questions and going above and beyond regarding set up. I felt that the staff valued me as a customer, as well as the guests attending the party. Great drinks at the bar with plenty of chill out options inside and out. LOVE this hotel, and I will definitely return in the future!
This review has really nothing to do with the staff at the hotel they were pleasant and responsive to any needs that we had, this is more a review of the Aloft brand itself. I get the new trend in lodging is trendy and modern and all that stuff, but if you were born before 1990 skip this brand, i knew i was in trouble when the kitchen was stocked with Kind bars and organic gummy bears. I am not knocking that if that is your thing but it was just too trendy for my taste. I would just rather stay with a known quantity in the hotel game
If you like hard surfaces and sharp edges on everything (except for a bed with a mattress so soft it swallow you), dark foreboding hallways, carrying your luggage without a cart, having to get breakfast out twice because the chef is unexpectedly off, helping an infirm person around because there is no wheelchair, and paying a lot for the experience . . . this is the place for you.
This is a great Aloft property, and so well-located. Craig at the front desk was very helpful as needed and the pool area was the cleanest I have seen, possibly anywhere I have ever stayed. Lets hope this new property continues to stay top-notch! Oh, and ask for J.P. at the bar - hes great!
We walked into our room with spilled milk in the fridge. Went to the pool and had no towels even after I asked for some. Went back to the room to shower and no hot water. Was told that it would be 30 minutes but took an 1.5 to get any. Then wanted to take a shower later that night and no hot water again. Also had my CC charged for the processing fee 2 times. I would only stay again if it was a free room to make up for this time. I won’t spend my money here again.
Very disappointed and Im sure that Mr. J. W. Marriott would be too with the unprofessional customer service that Aloft Marrott Westerville displayed to one of its guests.Live music played directly below the room keeping us from much needed rest (which was the reason for staying). I called the front desk to inquire of the time the music would end and to inform them of how it is disturbing. Rather than try to accommodate, I was told that everyone knows music is played on the weekend and its stated on the website. When I explained that seeing it on the website does not translate into the sounds of loud music that will be heard inside of your room throughout the entire evening. When I asked to relocate to another room if the noise continued past 11PM, I was told very matter of factly the hotel was full and it was not possible to move. The staff member promptly hung up without the slightest Im sorry for any inconvenience or anything. She was very unprofessional and very uncharacteristic of the usual excellent service of the Marriott. Again, very disappointed.
The first room we couldnt get the door open. The next room was a handicap room didnt feel Comfortable there. They moved us to third room it was like I went back in time. The carpet was like indoor outdoor carpet, no alarm clock, phone was across the room. It was not what we expected. The good point they had live music and fireplace was burning. Ill past on the room.
Nice but negative quirks. Otherwise it would have been 5 *. NO clocks in rooms. WTHeck? Cannot access stairs to go UP, only down! No access to side doors, only main door? Beautiful, modern, upbeat decor, really cool! Full indoor bar, outdoor, unattended bar just for sitting and socializing. indoor pool, NO hot tub. Nice fitness room. 2 quick elevators. FUNKY luggage carts! Nice towels and T.P., good wifi. Very convenient to shopping and many restaurants. Wonderful staff! Front desk personnel and bartender were fabulous! Great cable, and big TV, but it does not articulate, so is only viewable from beds, cannot see from desk.

2022-02-21This is a great property. The hotel is new and very modern. The bed is very nice and comfortable. The hotel room is very spacious and modern. Nicole at the front desk is amazing. She took the time to get to know me. I would come back to this property and time. And you probably need to give Nicole a raise. She is going to be instrumental in the success of your hotel. They dont have a free breakfast but I guess no one is perfect.

2021-12-05We love this Aloft. The staff is absolutely wonderful! The modern aesthetic makes for a very enjoyable stay. The rooms are a good size and the walk in shower is fantastic. You can also enjoy the fire place in the lobby or play a game of pool. The patio looks great, but we were not able to experience it due to the season. I would highly recommend a stay here!

2022-04-28I love how the hotel is design and decorated. Its so cozy and reception was very friendly. The room was neat, also like the fact that theres a reminder behind the door to bar it with the lock once you are inside for your added security. The lobby area is a great place to just relax and unwind.

2022-05-13OMG! PROBABLY THE BEST BED in the northern parts of Columbus. Aloft is a modern boutique hotel great for stays in the area, and certainly the only place I’ll return to this side of 270. Room was open plan, tiled shower, whole room blackout shades for that sleeping in action… No hot breakfast but your within sniffing distance of a double-double from Tim Horton’s. Highly recommended! And perfect pillows!

2022-06-28They charged me $200for my room when their price is listed at 115$ online. The desk staff was very rude and a guest tried even tried to clue her in that she was being rude and she said told him that I didn’t mind. I did. I was checking in after a long and arduous journey and she stopped in the middle of that process to care for another guest that came to the counter after I did. So yes, I did mind. The room was dirty, there was even a dusty M and M under the bed as if it hadn’t been cleaned in a long while. There were stains on the blinds, and I don’t mean permanent stains, these were like some unknown dried up material that could have been cleaned off if any sort of attention to detail had been paid to the issue. The blinds don’t close all the way so much light leaks through making it very hard to fall asleep. They moved my room but the next room had the same issue of the blind not closing properly over the window with the AC unit. The rooms are very noisy and were built with no thought given to the acoustical properties of the construction materials. Every door slam in the hallway can be heard in the room all of the activities can be heard in the next room, room across the hall and upstairs. Altogether an awful experience and since every conversation can be heard I know for sure there was a couple trying to buy some percocet from some guy they saw in the hallway. This place deserves negative stars. I travel extensively for work, and stay in many hotels so I know very well this room was not worth the $200they decided to charge when they saw me walk in, exhausted from my travels. I hope this review helps others, stay elsewhere.

2022-01-05Check in was a little bit of a process, seemed like they couldnt find our reservation though. The parking lot is nice and big and the hotel is easy enough to get to.Big, clean rooms connected by a door,, we all fit in it, including the animals. However our TV wasnt working, but it was no big deal. Restroom was a bit small though, but the kitchen area was cute and had decent counter space. Living area and bedroom were big.Breakfast bowls were subpar, except maybe the French toast, definitely recommend eating elsewhere but the staff made everything lovely. They were all so nice and answered all my questions.Amazing room, amazing staff, a little slow on communication but overall we enjoyed our stay.

2022-06-26Front desk staff was super friendly, room was clean, bed was soft, and all at a great price. Located right down the road from Easton shopping so it was convenient for our weekend trip from Cleveland. Will definitely stay again. Thanks!

2022-03-28We splurged on the king suite on the top floor.Absolutely Worth it.I dont care if I wont be able to pay for gas to get home the next day, because tonight we live like royalty!!Snacks are stocked in the lobby, and there are 2 different types of pool at this place.... one of the swimming variety, and the other of the reminder that you were terrible in high school geometry, but hey, youre going to slam the billiard balls so hard, you dont need no stinking angles to win!

2022-03-13This place is great. Great staff that make it very accommodating for guests and pets. Really nice area and really maintained and modern rooms. Only recommendations would be to have a free breakfast in the morning and multi ply TP. With how nice the rooms and place is, single ply TP is on the cheap side
