Jeff was at first very helpful on the phone. When it came time to follow through on an actual service call, he stopped responding. I was prepared to shell out around $300-$400 for his services. After I gave Jeff a chance to make the actual service call, I instead called Mr. Appliance out for my issue. Their service tech gave me the same diagnosis, but the repair cost was about $550, and the other issues with my machine he discovered meant that the repair would be a bad investment on my part. Essentially, I have a feeling that with Affordable Appliance Service, you probably get what you pay for, if they ever even service your appliance at all.
I called Affordable Appliance after reading Google reviews when my 24-year-old fridge started having issues with keeping things cool. I wanted to see if it could be repaired or if I needed to buy a new fridge. I was able to set up a time within a couple of days for service. Dustin called to let me know when he was on his way within the time window promised. He wore a mask the whole time he was at my house (so did I- this is a mutual respect thing in the times of covid-19). After diagnosing the issue, he didnt have the part needed and said he would come back the next day to install it, and also gave me a price at that time. He called back a bit later, to see if I was home as he had been able to get the part to install it today. He got the part installed, walked me through everything he did, and cleaned some of the parts of my fridge he noticed needed cleaning while he was working. The service came with a 90-day parts & labor warranty as well. Dustin was very professional, gave me good information, the price was very reasonable, and no mess was left behind.
I contacted Jeff earlier this morning and he told me he could get someone out between 5-8. Tommy showed up an hour or so before the time frame. Which is great. Our fridge was not keeping anything cool or freezer. Tommy was able to get it up and running in about a half hour and hooked up our water line as a bonus. Really impressed with the speediness as well as the professionalism all the way around. Jeff tried to talk me through some steps over the phone unfortunately was unable to do so due to the part that needed replaced. Amazing price as well, way cheaper than what we were quoted by others as well as quick. Without Tommy and Jeff we would’ve waited atleast a week to get it fixed and all of our food would’ve ruined. Impressed all around, would recommend and will use in the future if needed. Thanks for everything guys!
These guys are AWESOME. I was given an appointment window same day between 3-6pm. They were running fairly behind but did call to keep me updated. They ended up arriving a little after 8pm but I was thankful they were still willing to come out so late rather than rescheduling. Jeff is knowledgeable and sooo funny. We had some laughs, good conversation, and he included me in with the repair. They worked quickly and had all the parts I needed on hand. He even gave me some helpful maintenance tips. Service was VERY affordable and I did not once feel like I was being worked over. Overall was a great experience and I would highly recommend. Already added to my contacts for any future repairs!!Thanks so much guys!!
I called Saturday afternoon to set up an appointment to get my dryer fixed. Jeff came out an hour or two later and had it fixed within about a half an hour. He was so nice and very professional. I would definitely recommend.
I would not recommend them as they were more than 3 hrs late! How long was I supposed to wait!?
Jeff & Dustin came out to our house because of an issue with my washing machine. They were both very professional, polite, and very knowledge. Turns out we had a wiring issue. It now works as good as new and I would not hesitate to utilize their services again!
Jeff fixed an older washer and dryer for my daughter. The dryer was making a loud screeching noise and the washer didnt have hot water. Not only did he make the repairs, he spent considerable time cleaning the mechanicals in the dryer. We are very happy with the repairs, communication, price and integrity of everyone we met. Was very happy that we could text photos of the brands and models.
!!!SUPERB SERVICE!!! From the initial call up until the service was completed, Mr. Jeff was awesome. My washer was leaking and I gave him a call. He was willing to come out immediately; however, that was inconvenient for my schedule. We scheduled for the next day. Mr. Jeff came out and diagnosed the problem, not only did he fixed the problem I called about, but he also fixed 2 other problems he found! He was very knowledgeable and got right to the repairs. And most importantly, Mr. Jeffs services were AFFORDABLE. I only spent half of what the other repair companies quoted.Mr. Jeff was nice and easy to work with. My dryer stopped working and I called to see if anyone could come out to diagnose it. Jeff came out the SAME DAY, at 8:30 PM no less, and fixed TWO problems with my dryer. It runs great now and dries clothes better than before! Jeff was in and out in no time, talked me through and showed me everything he was doing, and cracked some pretty funny jokes during the process. The price was amazingly affordable and Jeff was an all-around great guy!
Our 16 year old washer quit functioning over the weekend. I called Affordable Appliance Service late Saturday afternoon and they said they would be out late Monday afternoon. Dustin arrived within the time frame that was specified and in a short period of time accurately diagnosed the issue. We thought at first with the age of the washer that a new one would have to be purchased, but Dustin saved the day and at a very reasonable price as well. Do not hesitate to call Affordable Appliance Service, Professional, Personable, Reliable.
We had one of those situations where an upright freezer we were planning to use decided to quit working at a bad time; not that there’s a good time! Not having a regular appliance repair person (but we do now) I did the dreaded Google search to find out who would rip us off or not show up. We found both. Then we found Jeff at Affordable Appliance Service. After he had put in a full day he made time for us, was VERY affordable and could have told us we needed anything at any price. We needed nothing but his magic touch and experience and what could have cost us a fortune cost us a very reasonable service call. As I said, we now have an appliance serviceman and we give our highest recommendations to Jeff and Affordable!
When my refrigerator stopped cooling, Jeff was able to work me in the next day and this was less than a week after the Dayton tornado swarm. He was professional and his work was neat. He fixed the issue and told me how to prevent it from happening again. And he charge $30 less than his original estimate, which was reasonable to begin with. Great Job!
Stepped into water in my kitchen floor from the washer. Immediately called and talk to Jeff the owner who was out in 15 minutes and figured out that the cause was actually a blocked drain pipe. His service fee is quite reasonable. Highly recommend.
I called this company one hour prior to closing. They proceeded to text me instead of answering my call. They texted poor grammar and very unprofessional. I would not advise this company.

Our washing machine wouldnt let the water out. So I called to get an estimate. They came out the very next day. Super fast, and the guy who fixed it was really nice. Our pump needed replaced and he had it installed in no time. I would definitely recommend these guys for everything. Very professional, great prices, and fast service.
Called for an appointment to repair my washing machine which wasnt spinning. They gave me an appointment for a couple days later, Friday night between 5-8pm. Called me a couple of hours before the appointment that their techs had issues and wouldnt make it. They could try on Saturday afternoon and if not would be out Monday between 3-5pm. No call, no show on Saturday. No call, no show on Monday. So sat waiting on techs for three days with no follow up. Can not recommend as good business practice. Disappointed.
Our dryer was making an unbearable sound and Jeff came out to see what he could do. He was in and out in less than an hour, and charged us exactly what was quoted. He was very, very kind and efficient. There was a light inside of our dryer that we didn’t know existed, and he fixed that too! He also took the extra time to clean out any lint inside, which he did not have to do. The service was definitely worth the price and we will be calling again if we need any other repairs.

Called for a dryer repair 11/6/18. Was told up front about the estimated cost of the repair. Jeff and Brandon came out the very next day. They showed up within the estimated time. Diagnosed the problem quickly. Heating element was burnt-out. They replaced the heating element and cleaned the dryer of escaped lint. Though it looked like I could have done the repair. The peace of mind of a 220 electrically run appliance done professionally was worth the cost, which I thought was fair. Highly recommend using Affordable Appliance Service.
With all of the good reviews I had high hopes, but things didnt go well. Jeff charges $40 to come out and diagnose the problem, which he quickly did. The drain pump on our washing machine was jammed with some small pieces of metal one of my kids sent through the wash. Jeff said he could fix the pump for $129 (in hindsight I realize that during the diagnosis of the problem he removed the metal so it was actually already fixed), or replace it for $179. He recommended replacing the pump since it was already off the machine and probably starting to wear out anyway. I figured the part must be pretty expensive and the labor pretty intensive to justify that price (a brand new washer of the same make and model would only have been $400, but again, he had good reviews so I trusted him).Long story short, it took him about 5 minutes to swap in a new pump which I later discovered costs about $22 online. If I had been smart I would have said give me a minute while I look this part up online after he took it off the washer, and I would have known I was being had. At that point I would have only been out the $40 for the service call and could have put a new pump on myself for $22 more. Sadly I waited until he was writing up the invoice to check and it was too late. In the end I paid $179 for about 30 minutes of labor and a $22 part. I should have ordered the part and fixed it myself, but again, he made it sound a lot more complicated to fix and the part a lot more expensive than was really the case.As he was leaving I mentioned to Jeff that $179 was a lot to pay for a 30 minute service call and a $22 part, and he got really angry and said thats a $90 pump (which is patently false - $22 wasnt even the lowest price for the pump online, several were cheaper, and Im sure he doesnt pay retail for parts anyway), it costs a lot in gas to come over here, I have a ton of overhead, you dont know anything about running a business, blah blah blah. Hes correct that I dont know a ton about running a business, but Im pretty sure if I could get away with charging $300 per hour for labor and 300-400% markup on parts, Id be wealthy in a hurry, overhead or not.I told Jeff in parting that I would mention in my review that I felt I hadnt been treated fairly, and he said Big deal, I have so many good reviews that no ones going to care. Alrighty then - service with a smile!
Had a beyond amazing experience with this company. My washer stopped working and after calling GE and other repair companies, I was quoted between 100-200$ just to get someone to come out and diagnose the issue. Jeff came out at a fourth of the cost. He is extremely friendly, honest and timely. I would recommend this company to ANYONE looking to get an appliance repaired. Very pleased.
UNMATCHED SERVICE! Jeff was at my home within 30 minutes of my call, ON A SATURDAY! He quickly identified the issue with my refrigerator as the main board, had the part on his van and repairs were complete within another 30 minutes. Jeff involves you in the repair, shows you whats bad and how he determined the fault. FROM CALL TO JOB COMPLETE, ONLY 1 HOUR! Reasonably priced and a great guy. Very satisfied and I will send anyone in need of appliance service to this company!
When our washing machine stopped working, we were slightly panicked because we have a one-year-old who makes lots of dirty laundry and we worried wed have to wait days for a repair. Jeff from Affordable Appliance was able to come out the day I called (other places were booking two to three days out) and was very obliging when we needed to change the appointment from afternoon to evening at the last minute. When he arrived, he diagnosed the problem in about two minutes and had the part he needed to fix the machine on the spot. He was done in about 45 minutes, including the time he spent waiting for the machine to run a test cycle after he did the repair. The machine has been working fine ever since and the cost was lower than I expected (plus he applied the service fee for coming out toward the final bill). Recommended!
My 3 month old Frigidaire freezer stopped cooling. Frigidaire was not helpful at all.Jeff came out and fixed it in no time. Very nice people and very fair. Would definitely recommend them. I know if I have a problem with another appliance I will call them first!
Jeff came down the first time and tried to fix my ice maker on just a $50 service charge. When this didnt work, he came back and credited my service charge and replaced the part.While here, my wife mentioned that she could constantly here water running. He then indicated it was the old reverse osmosis unit and helped us remove it -- no charge. Simply stated -- he is terrific, wish I could give him six stars!
I called for an appointment first thing in the morning and spoke with someone who sounded like they had just woken up but was told Dustin would be out the next day between 3-6. Well, Dustin never showed up. When I called to find out why, I was told I did not have an appointment and I was not on the schedule. Not professional or reliable.
I highly recommend! Same day appointment ON A SATURDAY to repair my dryer. Less expensive than the others, 90 day warranty on work and parts, determined the problem and finished the job in less than 30 minutes. Professional, pleasant, service-oriented.
Great service! We were in a tough bind with a broken washing machine. I called one place who couldnt come out for 8 days. So I called Affordable Appliance Service at 5 pm on a Thursday, he was at my house by 6 pm that same day, and did a great job. Quickly identified the problem (broken motor due to water leakage), and even had a replacement part on hand which he promptly installed. Service visit was VERY fair priced, and he basically just charged for the replacement part. Highly recommended!
Amazingly affordable and unmatched customer service! Our full-sized upright freezer and fridge/freezer combo both went out in the same week. We assumed our fridge would need to be completely replaced due to age. He arrived within 30 minutes of our call and returned both to perfect working order within 1-2 hours. He also told us how we could fix it ourselves if it ever happened again. He saved us at least $800 (by not having to by a new fridge). Great service, highly recommend!
Amazing service and price! Jeff came out at 9:30pm on a Friday night with New Years Day on Sunday. He fixed the waterline to my refrigerator and saved me from having my water shut off until after the holiday!
Had an appointment set for November 15th at 10am, and 50 minutes later we have not been contacted by this party. I’m sure prices are affordable and the work is great, just not on the weekends. Will not be using this service provider ever again.
My washer died Saturday on me and we called this place. The gentleman that answered was very nice and polite and was able to get me in the same day. Said he was going to send his son out to look at my washer. I believe his name was dustin. He showed up, smelt like weed, it was god awful. He didn’t know what he was doing he was on the phone the whole time getting directions on what to do, and over charged me what i was told would be the service call fee.. do not recommend
I did not use this business for a repair. I called and discussed my broken washing machine. He listened and offered some great information. The person I talked with was super helpful but, in the end, it made sense for me to replace my very old machine. I am very appreciative of his time and expertise so I felt like a review was warranted.
Honest, and dependable. Jeff and his assistant showed up on time, when they said they would be there. Jeff worked hard to diagnose and deal with a stubborn broken washer, with rusted bolts and multiple problems. Ultimately we had to declare defeat, but Jeff was fair in charging for his time and effort, even though they had invested a lot of time in the job. Since I had to buy a new washer, I really appreciated his fairness! I would definitely call him again, and recommend him to friends.

Jeff was prompt, efficient, extremely honest and fair when he came to repair my washing machine. When I explained my problem on the phone, he said sounded like I needed some new parts, and quoted me a price estimate. When he got here and looked the situation over, he said, nope, dont need any parts, just some adjustment. My cost was much less than quoted and my machine is working like new!

Lived up to their name. Very affordable! Less than 1/2 of what Best Buy wanted for the service call and 3 times as fast to schedule me in (next day - called in the evening). Quick to respond to our urgent call for help on a high-end front load Samsung dryer after returning from vacation. They had me up and running in minutes and explained in detail the issue and resolution. Recommend them for sure.

Affordable Appliance was fair, and communicated regularly when they had to come later than expected. They showed up when they said, let me know they were almost here, did the work promptly, and then charged a very reasonable, low price. If I would have opted not to have the service, the charge for the service call is only $35. You cannot beat that. I called at one with a broken washing machine. It is fixed and running by 7:30 the same day in the evening. Excellent company. I will use them again.
The delivery driver was rude and unprofessional my washing machine is making lound noises and they not answering the phone

Called in the afternoon and they were here later in the day. They did the job quickly & it was very affordable. I was quoted way more $$ by numerous other companies who werent able to come out for 4 days or more. They also have a 90-day warranty which is great! Definitely recommend them.

They came out on a Sunday to fix my dishwasher. There was no extra charge for weekend service. The problem was fixed in ten minutes. I only paid a service charge, which was half what another company quoted me.

Tried to talk me through changing a belt on my dryer. Once I realized I couldnt figure it out they came over and fixed me right up. Didnt even charge me full price since it was so quick! Super nice!

2022-03-02Our Samsung dryer had been acting up for months. Finally in January it would not heat at all, no matter what we did. It is only 4 years old so I figured wed give repairing it a try. Dustin came out the evening of 1/27/22 and spent about 2 hours testing, replacing a part, testing, etc. During that process, he checked it was OK to do so (as every new part adds to the repair cost). It turned out the brains/motherboard of the system was toast and he needed to order that part. Luckily he was able to find a supplier who had the part the next day & he came back the evening of 1/28/22 to finish the work.He was super nice and knowledgeable. And, he didnt charge us until the job was completed (the END of day 2). The price was AMAZING - less than half the cost of a new dryer but with all new parts, it feels like we have a new one!! I think we did 6 loads of laundry the next day just because we could get it all dry so fast. We were delighted to have a proper functional dryer again!I hope my washing machine doesnt ever need repair -- but if it does, I will be calling Affordable Appliance Service for sure!

2021-12-09We needed our dryer fixed same/next day and no other company around was able to schedule that soon, except for Affordable Appliance Service. Dustin arrived at the time scheduled and knew exactly what needed to be replaced to get the dryer running again. He was extremely knowledgeable, quick and courteous, and also shop-vac’d the dryer of excess lint for us, which was extremely helpful and nice of him to do. The price for repair was fair and he was in and out within around 20-30 minutes. I will definitely use/recommend their services in the future! 😁

2020-08-05Jeff from Affordable Appliance Service came out today and within a 1/2 hour fixed our 10 yr old refrigerator for a more than reasonable price. I had not heard of them before but they were able to schedule a repair visit quicker than any of the other places I called. So quick, on-time service, reasonable price and Jeff has a great sense of humor! If I need any other appliance repairs I will definitely call them again.

He educated me on the workings of my dryer suggested how to keep it free of lint and operating well he goes above and beyond. I called him after i had a horrible time with a previous repair. Jeff said he was booked up the day I called ,but still made time for me at the end of his day (such a kind man)He is smart, professional and funny. He showed me everything he was doing and kept me entertained with his witty jokes and positivity. My dryer is working better than ever!!!!!!!!!
