Nice place to walk and relax in local Kent! Check it out for a nice afternoon out.
I was there during Potterfest. It was very cool how they transformed Acorn Alley into Diagon Alley!

Very cool spot in Kent w small shoppes and places to eat.
It was closed, and we were just walking around to see whats available. Look forward to stopping back when the shops are open. The swings and kids play are is pretty slick. Looks well maintained and fun place for them to hang out. Date and I would have swung, but it was too chilly. Will be back.
It was an awesome experience. However was bit sad not seeing Queens there.

At the time of my visit it was a lot of students out sitting out enjoying Starbucks
We all remember the disastrous running of the bull in Acorn Alley, but cant they bring back the Acorn Alley Dash ™? It was a crowd pleaser during Kents Festivus in July celebration.The wing eating contest hosted by BW3, Rays, Paninis and Gyro was a hilarious mess to watch. My personal favorite was the full contact tug of war. Seeing teams pull side by side with the rope looped around a big pulley on the top of the parking deck while they interfere with each others efforts...priceless! Ambulances on standby was a great idea.
Youre likely to come across a few nuts on your journey, but this is no dark alley! No way! Acorn Alley has a quaint and truly enjoyable selection of businesses, shops, and restaurants. I truly enjoy patronizing the various establishments, and the feel of old downtown America lives on in Acorn Alley. Updated and modern, but retains a whimsical air of a few decades gone by. Worth the visit and the investment.
Its always nice to walk around downtown Kent. Now the DORA (designated outdoor refreshment area) and a good portion Franklin Street closed for outdoor dining is going to make for a summer of fun!

It is Always a pleasant atmosphere! Nice shops, stores and restaurants in a neighborhood community of students and families. Minors need to be chaperoned by an adult.

Great place to walk, all kinds of things to find around this area. Music, food, nerdy stuff, books, anything! Great area for a leisurely walk or for a shopping spree!

I love Acorn Alley. Whenever I come into Kent for dinner, I have to end the evening with a walk down the alley. I do miss the ice cream place. :(
I grew up in Kent and I love that they have updated the downtown area without taking away from its feel. There are many unique stores and restaurants all within a few blocks. Parking is free on the weekends and Friday evenings. I dont know about weekdays.

Its a nice little area. Plenty of little shops and places to grab a bite. There is a lot to see and do here. Walking distance to the park trail system if youre up for some scenery as well.

Acorn Alley is in downtown Kent with some great food and shopping. The shops can be pricey in this area but I still go all the time. They have benches, a small cornhole spot, and its very nice to just hang out.
So many awesome little shops popping up here and an amazing environment even if you decide shopping is not your thing. I actually chose to hang out here at the giant squirrel statue for the eclipse and a lot of the stores closed up and came outside to hang out with the bystanders—a truly awesome environment.
Very nice environment. There are lots of stores to shop at. Lots to chose from. Lots of historical things to see in Kent. Good place to sit and relax. Must see area to go too.

Quaint shopping alleyway through downtown Kent. Mix of food shops (a cheesemonger, a pita place, a grilled cheese place) and retail shops (a stationary/writing store, a toy/novelty store, a jewelry store) intermingled among Kents already eclectic downtown scene.Great for window shopping or meeting friends for lunch or socializing. Theres a small community park nearby, as well as a used book store, an organic foods co-op, and some small, upscale shops.EDIT 12/10: The pita place is a really delicious BBQ place now!

Great mix of eclectic shops, locally owned...fun place to spend some time. Food and shopping all in one place. Off the Wagon store is a must see....unique gifts, gags, toys, etc...super fun!
Acorn Alley has become a fantastic collection of shops. The little cheese place is great, and the new Red Letter Days (attached to the toy store) has the best gifts!
I mainly go here for a couple places. Off the Wagon and Twisted Melts. It is nice because of the variety of shops. It stinks that places have trouble staying there for more than a year or two though. I think it would do better with more places to park.
A nice little Discovery area, typical of college towns. Shops and interesting places in every nook and cranny.

Quaint, unique shops. Spend an entire day there and take your time. You will fall in love. Shop owners are all incredibly friendly and helpful. Super lunch and dinner choices.
They have a good variety. Great place for gifts for your chocolate lover.

Went to Twisted Meltz and it was great service, except they forgot to bring out my fries and I had to take them to go. Didnt reheat so great. But overall it was delicious!

These people want to redefine Kent. One way they do it is by trying to pretend they are the only game in town. The new development will think of Pro-Kent marketing ideas and then exclude all of their neighbors. Several of these stores have already, rightly, gone out of business.Maybe the developers will stop pretending to be something exclusive and start helping Kent revive its sense of community.
Awesome area! Tons of fun little shops and food places. Like their fb page to keep up with events. They have some really cool events throughout the summer.

The Diagon Alley of Kent, this place is always a good time. Off the wagon, Silver & Scents, and Twisted Meltz are a few stores/eatery that you can visit. Acorn Alley is unique and appears to be a popular destination during large city events such as Potterfest and Halloween. It adds a unique quality to Kent and is virtually a necessity when visiting.

Great collection of local shops. From a hot sauce store, to an extensive toy store, and even a delicious grilled cheese restaurant. You can find a lot of local treasures

The shops in acorn alley are uniquely charming. You can always find a satisfactory way to spend money here. A true institution in kent ohio.

Sushi, pad Thai and Teriyaki chicken from Pacific Malaysian restaurant then ice cream from Popped and caramel macchiato from coffee shop!! Parking was sparse but worth the walk!

2022-06-29Cute shops, all staff was friendly and helpful. Restrooms for the littles. Let me just say...the Fruit Bar...OMG! I wish we had one in our town!! Delicious! Cute little playground for the littles with a tree for shade I might add...impressed at whoever planned that! I love the swings instead of benches!

2022-02-07Fantastic place to walk around with family or friends, stop in all the little shops and look around, maybe buy some gifts. Some places could be a bit more affordable, but that doesnt take away from the fun.

2022-03-18This is a neat little area of Kent. Even if youre not shopping its fun to walk around. There is even a play area with Cornhole, a slide for kids, porch swings, and an area for eating.

2022-01-02This is a great area of Downtown Kent. Parking is free after 5pm. There are many great spots to shop, eat, and drink. Theres really something for everyone here.
