AAA Bob Sumerel Tire & Service - Colerain in other cities:
Excellent service, very professional and an establishment you can trust. They accept AAA discounts and are very reasonably priced. They did a great job helping me figure out which tires best fit my needs, and completed the job quickly. Will definitely be a return customer for any future needs that I cant handle myself. Very honest staff!
I dropped my truck off for a brake problem at 9:00. The salesperson J. Fischer told me that it would be no problem taking a look at it due to the fact that there where only two car in the shop and they were slow. At 3:00 I called them and the told me that they had just pulled it in to look at it and would call me back. I left from work at 4:00 and drove there. My truck was in the shop with the hood up but the front tires were still on it. The manager told me that the customers in the waiting room were bugging him to get their cars done so thats the reason he had not looked at my truck. A half an hour later he informs me that I blew a brake line on the drivers front and his mechanics could not loosen the bleeder valves on either calipers. He informed me that both brake lines, calipers and pads would need to be replaced for about 900.00. Its hard to believe that they could see all those problems with no taking off the front wheels and only lifting up the hood. It seems to me that this is a racket to not take of a problem but to gouge a customer who doesnt know anything about their vehicle and blindly pay the money. The salesperson needs to be retrained on how to run the counter and run the shop.
Been taking both of our cars here for years. Convenient hours, including weekends. They do a great job of explaining what needs to be done and providing an estimate up front. I have had both routine maintenance and unexpected car repairs worked on at this location. Ive never had a negative experience.
Up until today I would go to Valvoline to get my oil changed, a little pricey yes but with a coupon manageable, its fast and I dont have to get out of my car. HOWEVER, today is my last visit at Valvoline. After breaking my valve stem and replacing it with the wrong Vehicles valve stem I went to Bob Sumerel and spoke with Jason. This guy is awesome. He got me in straight away told me of the error and had me fixed in no time while apologizing for Valvolines mistake. Jason is awesomesauce and now has my business. Bob Sumerel give Jason a raise! Kind respectful fast and most importantly put the right part on my car! Thanks!
I dropped my car off on 8/12/2016 at 8:00 AM to have the air conditioner serviced. My car had 159,930 miles, and the fuel tank was 7/8 full. My trip odometer had 94 miles on it.Bob Sumerel had my car for 8.5 hours. When I picked it up at 4:30 PM my car had 160,000 miles on it, the fuel tank was slightly over 1/2 full, and my trip odometer was reset to zero.Bob Sumerel put 70 MILES on my car, and then reset the trip odometer to try to cover their tracks.NEVER GO THERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I took my van there because of a strange noise in the bottom of the engine. They couldnt figure it out. I asked Do you think its my oil pump? They said no because your gauge indicates that oil pressure is fine.My oil gauge is broken. (Yes its obvious that it doesnt work plus I told them it doesnt work). They obviously dont care or are inept
No one at this store can communicate - with fellow employees or customers. I spoke with Chris Friday, and asked if I could drop my truck off Saturday morning for new tires. He said that was fine - he didnt ask me about my vehicle or what type of tires I needed, and he didnt give me an appointment time. I didnt think much of it until I took the truck in at 8:30am Saturday and was told by Arthur youre late. Chris never gave me a time, but apparently told his staff of a 7:30am appointment! So of course they dont have tires for my truck - theyll need to order them in. Arthur was helpful in helping me select tires and was friendly, and thats the ONLY reason this is a 2* review not a 1*. I said I needed the truck back by Wednesday, because I needed to haul horses to a show on Friday, and Arthur said it would be ready by Tuesday afternoon. I say thats great, Ill pick it up Tuesday evening.By 3:30pm Tuesday, I hadnt heard from them, so I called to inquire. Chris informed me that Darrel said I didnt need to pick the truck up until Friday, so they pushed the appointment back. Why does Chris, who is supposedly a manager, think its acceptable to push a vehicle pick up time back without consulting the customer? I dont know how you run a business that way. Both Saturday and Tuesday when I talked to these people, they were complaining to me that they were short staffed. This is unprofessional - as I customer I dont need to hear you whine about your job. Ive been at work short staffed before too. Its not an excuse. As someone with a background in management, and who runs their own business, I found this experience disappointing and unprofessional. Especially when Im bringing them more than $1000 in business! I will not be returning to this establishment.
DO NOT go to Bob Sumerel. The service reps might as well just rob you at gun point when you show up and get it out of the way. Overinflated prices on parts. Overinflated prices on labor. Charges after the fact that werent agreed to upfront. Save yourself the headaches and go elsewhere.
My first time ever going to a bob sumerel and it will be my last. Took my car in for a clicking/ grinding sound coming from the rear end and all they did was overcharged me for a motor mount for the car to be doing the same thing when i got it back. So $700 later, still have same problem. I wont ever go back
Favorite bob sumerel. Staff here makes all the difference always pleasant, friendly, and try to get you in no matter how busy. They work hard and fast. Can be overpriced, but their honest about what services you do and dont need and they accept AAA discounts and towing.

2022-02-25I had my car tow there by AAA, since Im a Plus member. I had been taking my car to that location for several years. I originally had the AAA driver put my name in the queue then on Sunday I got online to make an appointment .I had to call them for a several days to find out when they would look at my car. They never called me first & then employees were short on the phone. They finally, on day 5, look at my car. They lied to me by saying they did an routine evaluation on my car as well as isolated the problem ( from my description of why my car suddenly would not start in a store parking lot.). They said I needed new brakes pads ( that was an recommendation written on last oil change). At time of car tow, my car needed an oil change & tires pumped up. If car was evaluated they would have noticed that..neither were done when I picked up my car after brake pads & problem repart.I looked over car at home when I noticed they did not do an oil change. Car had puncture holes on interior lining and grease fingerprints and smears on the interior which my car is kept in almost perfect condition interior wise even as it is 9 yrs old. I am going to a different garage now.

2022-02-07Purchased 4 tires here. About 3 months later a slow leak was identified so made an appoint to fix the tire. Two weeks later the same tire was flat again. Made yet another appointment to fix the flat and they worked on the alignment and ignored the tire repair so had have them keep the car to fix the flat. Now they are charging me to pay for the alignment I did not ask for or need. They clearly dont know how to work on tires nor do they have any credibility in my book. Avoid this place at all costs

2022-07-21They barely looked at my car and said it was starter, but I literally just installed the starter, so they claimed my engine was locked up. I tried to have it towed to another shop. They didn’t have my key back in my car, after I asked. So tow driver couldn’t take it to different shop. That happened two days in a row. My car got to the new shop finally, they called me and said there isn’t a starter at all. So I called Bob Sumerel again, they were rude and said my starter was burned up and they didn’t know where it was. Called the next day to talk to manager, someone who actually seemed to care. He called back a while later and told me the mechanic said it was in my back seat. With the exception of the manager, the employees are rude, unprofessional, and seemingly incompetent. I highly do not recommend this place.

2021-10-28Would not recommend Colerain location and no plans of going back. (Bought my tires at Harrison Ave location this summer) and a AAA member. Colerain puts the air in, do not allow customers to. Worker put air in and lingered on rear pass tire. Went down road not even 2 miles, turned off car got back in and tire pressure 12 pounds low! Saw there was a screw in pass rear tire. Went back, they were surprised when I came back -- $34.99 to plug a tire is extreme! ($3.00 off for AAA member). I left and see tire pressure 4 pounds higher than the other 3, so he didnt even check it!

Then my dad found a lower price and i called this place back and told them we found a better deal. The guy then said hed match it and when we got there turned out i knew the guy! Quite the surprise but he took care of me. I was shocked. Id go back again cause i trust him with my car no matter what.

2021-07-02Doug is the gentleman that I dealt with making the appointment. Nick is the technician that did the service on my vehicle. Doug was very personable and knowledgeable. Definitely has excellent customer skills. I needed to have friction stabilizer put in my rear differential and Nick did that for me at no charge. Nick is an excellent technician. I will definitely bring my vehicle back to have it serviced, here. Thank you for the great job and service

2021-11-24I would really like to thank Doug at Bob Sumeral Northgate for excellence on 11/24/21. I had a terrible time overnight arguing with AAA re: mobile installing a battery. As a premium AAA member, my policy states that I may receive one free battery per year installed as a mobile service wherever my car may be. Last night I requested this service as my truck battery continued to lose charge. I requested service on 11/23/21 at 9 pm. And I was broke down at my parent’s home in Indiana. I even followed up with a call to make sure the driver would have a battery for Ford F-150. I was told they contacted the driver and everything was good. At 1000 when they were to arrive; the dispatcher Mark informed me that they could not install a battery and it would be 1:17 am to help me. I asked to speak to supervisor and I was transferred to no one.At 1:45 the driver reached me and jump started my truck. His name is Don. At first he was pleasant. I inquired about the battery service. He said “ we don’t do battery service onweekends”. I said this is NOT the weekend- it’s Tuesday. He said I mean we don’t have battery service on holidays. I said TODAY is not a holiday. Then he said well we don’t deliver batteries to Indiana- you are out in the country. I said my policy does not state any exceptions. I live in Ohio. Oxford is literally 2 miles from here. Then he said I was just being DIFFICULT (. Very unprofessional). I said I’m being DIFFICULT because AAA is not standing by their membership which I’ve paid for ( and rarely use). Plus I’m going to have to drive to Bob Sumerals tomorrow and wait 2-3 hours for a battery install when you could have me ready in 10 min ( instead of arguing with me! He said “ you do not know that”. And He stormed off….Back to Doug ********. He is the ONLY person that helped me today get my battery installed at Bob Sumeral’s Northgate so that I can safely get to work tonight. THANK YOUI will be cancelling my premium membership though— so not worth it

2021-11-12I WOULD GIVE 0 STARS IF IT WOULD LET ME!!!! THIS PLACE ABSOLUTE GARBAGE!!!!! I needed to get an oil change, tire rotation, drivers side window repaired, and fuel line replaced. The part for the fuel line is on back order, ok that happens, especially these days. But I just called for an update ( NO ONE HAS BOTHERED TO CALL ME AT ALL - ALL INFO I HAVE IS FROM ME CALLING THEM ASKING FOR UPDATES) and asked if all the other work was completed while we wait for the other part. THEY HAVE NOT TOUCHED IT!!! ITS BEEN SITTING ON THEIR LOT FOR 16 DAYS NOW. Havent lifted a finger to get the work done!!!! Im beyond mad. This is ridiculous!!!! We were loyal customers. My entire family goes here. Grandma, aunts and uncles, my parents, damn near my whole entire family!! WELL NOT ANYMORE!!! WE WILL NEVER BRING A CAR TO THIS PLACE AGAIN!!!! ABSOLUTELY UNBELIEVABLE!!!!

2019-07-29After doing business for many years (multiple vehicles) at the Colerain location, my job changed and I went to the Bob Sumerel location on Rt 4 in Fairfield. Ownership, managers, personnel and poor quality changes caused my dissatisfaction to grow. So I moved my car care elsewhere. On July 3rd, 2019 I had a tire blow out in Ross, I waited until Friday and with being off work decided to reach out to BS Colerain location, Jason manager. He told me they could get my car in on Saturday at 1:00 pm. By 2:30 pm still not in the garage. At 3:15 he called and stated that the Cooper All Weather tires on my vehicle had not been manufactured for over 3 years, tread was less than 3/8 and recommended all new tires (all made sense to me as I was trusting his advice). AND they were having a buy 3 tires and get fourth tire free. Sounding great - I love a sale! Read off everything included .... I agreed go ahead along with High Miles Oil change. They close at 4:00 pm on Saturday. When I arrive they were finishing my car and closing for the day. I signed the paperwork, paid the monies due only to get home and see a charge for alignment and road hazard policy. Back in the day alignment was included when purchasing 4 new tires AND ROAD HAZARD POLICY. We never talked about this, so I called him - he (said that if I get a nail in the tire) I would not get a new tire. I understood, never a question or expectation and I have roadside assistance. I asked for a refund - he said come back to the store and he would give credit to my card. Had to make two trips, first time he was out for a few days and Doug said he could not help (understood). Then went back and presented my paperwork and card to Jason - he said if he gave me the refund HE WOULD HAVE TO CHARGE ME FOR THE FOURTH TIRE! WHAT KIND OF SALE IS THAT? My trust in Bob Sumerel is gone and I will never take my car back there to be serviced AND I want my $70.56 refund. VickiH
