A B Tire & Repair in other cities:
I have been going to AB tire for several years for my families automotive needs. Recently, a problem came up with my sons car that I thought should be addressed by the dealer. Big mistake. Wound up getting a huge quote for the issue plus additional things they found. Not all had to be addressed but I immediately called AB tire for their advice. I decided to have the dealer button up the car and I took it to AB tire to get most of the important issues resolved. Even after paying a diagnostic fee at the dealer, I came out way ahead because of AB tires fair pricing. Thanks!!!!
These guys are the best. They try hard to keep your repair costs down. They always give you options and will let you know up front what has to be done and what can wait until later. Ive been taking my cars there for 10 years. Try them once and you will become a regular too.
My family and I have been bringing our vehicles to A B Tire for years. They take care of us in a timely , at a fair price.Loaner cars when available, or a ride home. Old school throw back shop, this is the kind of shop that will try and repair, instead of replace. In this economy, our cars , and most peoples cars have high miles, and are older. They also take care of our newer car, we recommend them to everyone, no matter what year their car is.
Dropped my Jeep Wrangler JK off for a blown tire that happened leaving work on Saturday morning. I called and left a voicemail as it was after hours. By the time I could call back on Monday morning to make they got my message they had already found the issue and were working to fix the issue. Excellent customer service.
We have been taking our vehicles here for several years, and had been very happy. We even referred many other people. No more. Something has changed. We recently purchased a used convertible, which we completely cleaned and waxed. We then brought it in for some work on the exhaust. When we got it back, there were three MAJOR dings that were not there before, all different places along the left driver side. In addition, the car was filthy, inside and out, with grease, mud and even dog prints on the seat! We were told perhaps we shouldnt clean it before we take it in!There were also other problems that did not exist when we dropped the car off, but because car components can fail at any time, even when in the possession of a mechanic, it would not be fair to assume they are responsible for these other items. There is, however, no excuse for the filth and the external damage.
Stumbled into A B Tire Repair on a Sunday with two cars that had tire problems. Ed happened to be there even though they were closed and he took great care of me. Saved money for us by cleaning up our wheels which were corroding and causing the tires to lose air instead of repalcing them. Very happy.
Revised 6/18/20165/5, Liked, and loved this shop. was 4/5, updated to 5 stars upon return visit.Short review above dotted linePro: Fair/great pricePro: Friendly, conversational owner/mgrPro: To the pointPro: I never encountered a sales pitch.Pro: Quick response to ordering and receiving parts needed for unexpected problems.Con: Messy/grungy office and dirty lawn chairs to wait inCon: Need to get more in writing before work beginsCon: Bills likely will run significantly higher than verbally quoted for misc reasons. But the amount may still be fair and/or below average.Con: Generally messy shop. Average for any independent shop----------------------------Detailed:Ed (owner? manager?) is great to talk to, to the point, and collected. Albeit scatterbrained a bit.I walked in on my day off with ridiculous tiedye pants torn up, my long hair messed up, and while I got a couple of glances and maybe raised an eyebrow, nobody judged, and I was treated with respect.I drove in, mid day, asked if they had time to slap 4 new tires on my truck, and they did. They didnt have an exact tire size for what I had, but they had a suitable Kenda KLEVER H/P KR15 265/75R16 that is a little wider than what was on it. While it might hurt my gas mileage a bit, Im happy with them. Some ebay listings showed a set of 4 of the same tire at $542, but when Ed was digging around for the original size I already had, he dug these up and got them, with tire stems, mounted, balanced, and had the rim sanded down for less than the $542 listing price on ebay from some online tire dealer.Ultimately, nobody haggled anyone in our exchange. And we had great dialogue about the truck and misc stuff. I drove in without notice, got 4 tires slapped on in a timely manner, and was treated with respect by professionals. Ive been to some very nice shops for things that ought not take too long, only to walk out extremely unsatisfied in spite just doing nothing more than an inspection. So, Ill take ATBs dirty old lawn chairs over plush leather couches of the nicer places because I want them to get the job done, and they do just that (and sometimes more!)I just wish (and will make a point to in the future) that I got a chance to inspect the new tires inside and out before they were installed. While they look flawless, I wish Ed had offered me the chance to check them out. Some tires look new, but may be patched from the inside.I have a 2002 Dakota Sport, tons of rust, and do most the work myself. When I get frustrated and give up, these are the guys I call when I throw in the towel and need help. It would be wise to call around to other shops and get their quotes, but the risks to benefits to costs to savings may or may not make a difference either way.Update one year laterNot noted earlier, last June I had them swap out the radiator, I was greatly satisfied with that. They had no complaints that I brought my own parts. Same thing with the shocks and leaf spring shackles this year. They replaced all at a higher than expected cost, but still reasonable and didnt break my budget. I think they gave me a free brake fluid bleed because my brakes were soft from the truck sitting for so long, but they did forget a license plate they screwed underneath my truck. oops!I will update this more in the future going forward, but Google has a character limit, so I cant include all the details.------------------------------(in response)In regard to Pats and Teds 1 star review, and specifically they get crappy with you when asked to put on parts that werent ordered by them (because they cant make extra money off you). I have my truck full of brand new parts ready to be installed (none were stolen, FYI). Any conversation I had with Ed regarding to him doing any work, including my radiator which I already purchased to install myself, at no point did he ever put up a fuss about doing the work. He just asked how much I spent, nodded his head, and responded: yeah, a 3 hour job we can do that. Nor did he give me attitude about appointments.
A B Tire & Repair turned my super bad double plus ungood day back into happy happy fun day! I was hauling my horse to a show, and the trailer tire blew out and shredded. I pulled in to A B Tire, and they fixed it in 20 minutes! Thank you so much for the prompt and courteous service.
Took care of my flat when others wouldnt. No issues at all!In the waiting room now waiting for a sneaky heat shield rattle to get fixed. Billy, Ed, and Steve are always respectful and dont talk OVER YOUR HEAD. Im driving here for any service even though I live 40min away.
This place Sucks!!! They cant fix anything. You have to keep brining it back and it still is not right the owner and his staff drink and smoke on the job. There are wild animals running around in the shop that is a pigsty to Begin with. The owner (Ed) has a bad attitude when you try to schedule an appointment he yells at you and says what do you want and why are you here and goes on to say he is to busy for you and you should call back in a day or two to see if he can fit you in. They seem to blame other people when things brake around there and take no blame for there wrong doings.i advise anyone to think twice before going here to have any work done on your car!!!

2021-08-07I had a nail in my tire after I came back from vacation. I didn’t Google before I showed up to see hours, they were closed. The men there were more than helpful and even though they had closed, they still patched my tire for me! Would definitely recommend this auto shop for all your auto needs! Thank you so much, legit life savers!!

2021-05-22A&b tire is the best repair shop Ive ever been to. They went out of their way to get me back on the road as soon as possible after a major repair. From the front desk, to the mechanics, to the owner - all were very pleasant people to deal with. From diagnosing the problem, to performing repair, the whole process was done very professionally. I highly recommend that everyone go to this shop.

2021-05-26I have taken my cars here for years and will continue to do so. They are usually able to get you in quickly and often services are done the same day. I never worry that they will try to up sell me on repairs or that they will overcharge me. Everyone there is great.

2019-09-11We have taken two of our cars there for tires a couple of time and the experience was exceptional. They were responsive, gave great quotes and followed through in the time they anticipated even when one of the our older vehicles had some unexpected problems during the service. I have recommended the shop for service before but what makes this place extraordinary is their willingness to help when things really go wrong. I recently had a car that we are restoring stuck on a home lift. In order to fix the lift, the car really had to come off the lift. I had called a few recovery/towing places and no one offered much in the way of help, most of the responses were that they had nothing that could get the car off and that was that. When I called AB Tire, initially I thought about renting a trailer to slip under the car to pull it out, Ed picked up the line and talked through the problem some of his ideas. He went so far as to loan me some stands to secure the vehicle while I waited for a new part to arrive for the lift, and he did that before he even realized that I had used his services before. I cant say enough good things about this place, they really are willing to go above and beyond.

2019-10-31So far so good. The people who work there are super nice. They checked the car and found the issue. I was able to take my car with me until the part comes in and they will put it on when i bring it back up. No hassles whatsoever. Even the mechanic was nice to deal with and most places thats not so true. Thank you Ed

2015-08-08Weve taken our vehicles to A&B Tire for several years. They are professional, affordable and fast. I once had an issue with my Nissan Sentra that three other shops (including the dealership) could not figure out. The guys at A&B had it solved within a few days. They spent many hours trying to determine the root cause but did not charge me for all of that time. These guys know what they are doing and wont overcharge you. I highly recommend them.

2020-08-14AB Tire is the only place I take my cars for repairs & tires. They are fair & honest. I have compared prices for tires & other repair services. They have the best prices. Always willing to work with my schedule as well.
