Always a fun time at 2nd St. Market! Fresh local produce, large variety of food, crafts and gifts. Really shows some of the best of Daytons community
There is such a variety here. Different cultural food experiences, cool little shops, plants, food, meat, herbs and spices, pottery, jewelry, clothes, coffee, etc. Very enjoyable and free parking which is rare so close to downtown Dayton.
We set up yesterday for the first time in years . We used to be at another market across the streetWe had a great day yesterday. People we knew and were fans of our soaps showed up. We introduced our products to new folks as well.
Lovely place to visit on the weekend. There are amazing restaurants to grab some lunch. There is a shop there that has really good rum cake
Fun, clean, family-oriented, friendly market in downtown Dayton. Highly recommend checking this out if you want a fun and free family outing some weekend.

Nice place to try to get some local fares and products. We visited in a clear down time when some vendors werent here, but of the ones that were had good products and interesting variety.Think of this as a combination of a crafts market and a farmers one, both food and non-food items can be had inside, as well as freshly made food.
Great marketplace! Ran by the park department and hosts great local vendors. Amazing food booths from all different walks of life. Whatever you are in the mood for, youll find it there. Most of them do not take credit cards though, bring cask, but they do have an ATM in case you forget. Most of the craft vendors take credit cards though.
Honestly this is one of the coolest places that Ive found in dayton. It is filled with a ton of great little shops with local businesses. Everything seems to be either hand crafted, grown locally, or sourced locally. The prices arent bad at all and in the winter its a nice change from the outdoor farmers markets. Loved it.
Yesterday, I had my first visit to 2nd Street Market. I enjoyed myself greatly. I had a good time looking at all the vendors and food. I bought two beautiful glass pieces by Regina, a delicious pretzel, a wonderful crêpe, some raspberry chocolate from Ecuador alongside lime chocolate from Haiti, and some stones to add my collection. Although I live an hour away in Indiana, I look forward to coming back.
It can get busy and a bit crowded, but there are usually vendors inside and outside when the weather is nice, so you can take a breather outside.
I absolutely love the 2nd Street market! So many interesting and unique vendors and the food! Just walking through the door will make your mouth water. You can find something for the whole family. Its definitely a great place to go on beautiful Saturday.
Love this place and all the vendors. Too many young kids running around with no manners, walking through people and not saying excuse me.
Visit on Arbor day weekend. The park district gives out free trees and you and whom ever you invited can stay for some wonderful food.
I was very excited about going to second street until I walked in mandating a mask policy. I do not and have not ever wore a mask and was really rude to my husband requiring us to use their mask. I have COPD and I have never wore one nor have I ever tested positive. So thank you for your wonderful greeter. As I sit in my car watching people on the inside not wearing mask. South Carolina says BLESS YOUR HEART!
This was an absolutely awesome place. Many food vendors, home made and uniquely made recipes. Reasonably priced and so full of flavor. Many craft vendors with just as unique items. Not to mention how friendly and courteous everyone was. Will defiantly make this a regular weekly lunch stop!

More of a place to grab a variety of prepared foods rather than a true open-air market. Theres a few stands selling fresh produce, but most of the stands sell locally made goods or products youd expect to see at a craft fair. That being said theres a great variety of food vendors from many different ethnicities.
Great market. Wide variety of food. Best in the spring and summer.
We enjoyed exploring the various vendors wares. We saw quite a variety: flavored olive oils, bread, cookies, flowers, coffee, soaps, hand crafted candies, sandwiches, jewelry, cheeses, vegetables of all kinds, candles, ethnic foods, just to make a few. It can get very busy, so patience is often needed to navigate the space. We had no trouble parking on the day we visited. No fee to park or to enter to market.

Great place to walk around and buy unique items and taste good foods. Only real complaint is that so much is closed on Sunday. With their limited hours of operation on Saturday and Sunday I would think they could ask vendors to be open the entire time. I’m willing to give some slack due to Covid but it was the same issue before the pandemic. Saturday is the better day to visit.
Indoor vendors are full, still have a few weekend outside spots open! Lots of fun!
Never disappointed going here! So much happening all around, but it still seems calming and even therapuetic to come here! Perfect for dates, quick lunch, or snack. Getting to look around at all the quirky and unique merchandise is a lot of fun, the cannolis from Azras Mediterranean are my absolute weakness, and definitely a favorite. The Thai place is excellent as well. Even if you dont want to spend any money, plenty of vendors do samples and theres lots to see anyways. Also, the library has a bookshelf set up with free books to share, we always enjoy going through that.
We love the industrial look, fresh bread, and food. Great atmosphere.
One of the best places in Dayton! You can find all kinds of local and unique things. We love to grab lunch from the Greek restaurant here.

With tons of organic farm vendors to get your produce from, apparel and accessory vendors who hand craft their pieces, and the countless vendors who work hard to make amazing food for us to enjoy, this is absolutely the place to take your whole family to enjoy a wonderful afternoon

2nd flea market is a dope Place I like to buy my buffalo meat there nothing has changed great honey from Jamestown .Love this place.
Im not sure what the hype about this place is, but I was not impressed. Its very crammed inside, a lot of the vendors were closed when I was there on a Saturday, most of the produce was very expensive, and a lot of things were picked over. I would rather make the hour drive to North Market in Columbus, which is bigger and has way more of a selection.
Loved going 2 years ago! They are slowly building their shops back. They need some food vendors to come back!!

Nice weekend walking area to buy fresh veg/fruits plus they have mini restaurants to buy food from to eat and have a nice conversation with friends and family. Plus is that if anyone is on ebt or snap food stamps you can use to purchase food from different vendors.
Just the right amount of variety and consistency. Theres good food available, and lots of seating. Most all of the vendors except cards as well, so thats nice

Wonderful rustic atmosphere with delicious food and beautiful handcrafted goods. Second Street Market makes supporting small local businesses easy and enjoyable by bringing together some of the best of the area. The facilities are clean and well stocked. There is room to sit in both the dining and entertainment areas. Vendors greet patrons with warmth. Highly recommend as a weekend outing. Great for couples or families with numerous dining options to suit any tastes.
Went to I Heart Ice Cream. Had to try the bubble waffle with the rolled ice cream. Love that they have a set place now.

Ive been coming to this market for over 10 years and am never disappointed. Would definitely reccomend stopping here if you are in Dayton!
Great place to find all sorts of goodies! Plan on going hungry and trying one of the many hot food vendors.

This was such a great experience! All the food was so good and the music was wonderful! There are so many local farmers that sell organic products, and small bakery shops. I really had a good time here, I would most definitely recommend this place for anyone. (It is family friendly too!)

A lovely market in downtown Dayton that houses wares from local artisans and features a handful of food stalls with unique and diverse offerings. During the harvest season, they have an outdoor farmer’s market that brings local and organic produce to the urban core. Highly recommend this spot for all of your produce and local artisan needs!
Stopped in with some coworkers for lunch, I ordered from the Thai place and was really impressed. The customer service was friendly and the food was amazing. I ordered the combination plate number 8 and added some of the spicy pepper sauce. Very hot, very tasty.
Great selections of fresh bread, fresh fruits and vegetables, local syrup and honey, fresh milk, cheese curds, dips and spices.
The food is real good. Visited in the fall so I cant fault the lesser amounts of fresh produce. The SOS popcorn seasoning is real good. Nice variety of vendors. The indoor option during cold weather is really nice.
Masks are optional. The isles are narrow and many people were there and very close to each other without social distancing. None of the vendors wore a mask. I wont be back until they implement masks
Great Farmers market year round. Fun place to get coffee and people-watch. Good selection of lunch items. Live music. Nice to meet local farmers. One I met was selling beautiful tomatoes that were a bit pricey. I asked if he had any less expensive canning tomatoes. We struck a deal and he brought me 20 pounds at a good price the next day. And the Flowerman is always there with good deals. Fun to visit once in a while.
They have so much to choose from for food. Mexican, Greek, Aussie meat pies, Korean, crepes, and on and on. Dont forget the amazing bakeries, pottery, vegetables, local meats and other products. We could spend all morning here and not be bored. Good amount of seating although it is a small space and always lively with a crowd.
Fun place, but some produce vendors dont grow their goods. Prices are a bit too high for most items.
The place is unique to say the least. It allows all forms of artist, chefs, and people that generally care about what ever craft they pursue, to express themselves. The food is always interesting and good. The meats and breads are all fresh, many of the crafts are made while you watch. The vendors are all incredibly friendly and the atmosphere is one of warmth and friendship.
Interesting place. Very different from a flee market. Better merchandise and better quality of foods and selection of vendors. Enjoyed going to this place. Would recommend it. Very odd hours and days. You need to stay informed. Also be very careful where you park. As you might know downtown is challenging as far as safety is concerned. Stay alert.

Cant believe that this is the first time Ive been here, but Ill definitely be back. So many things to see. Its a nice little gathering place, with a great selection of food and other things to buy. Ill definitely check out the Mexican Street Food booth the next time I come, as well as the many varieties of Artesian Breads and Olive Oils. I also understand that during the summer season that there is also a Farmers Market.
I am so very happy to see this place thriving. Last time I had been was when my seven year old was only a few weeks old. This place has blossomed full of small businesses selling their arts and crafts, farms selling their goods, and small eateries with an open atmosphere with live music. I will be making visiting the market at least monthly part of our family shopping trips.
Good variety of local vendors, including locally grown produce, meats, etc. and handmade crafts such as pottery, jewelry, candles, and aromatherapy. Also an excellent variety of food options including Greek, Thai, Italian, Mexican, Crepes, Paninis, Coffee, and more. Mildly crowded, but not more than would be expected. Most places take both cash and card. The local music group was excellent and added a very fun, but not overbearing, ambience. Will definitely return in the future!

A real treasure for Dayton. Many shops selling jewelry food bread vegetables and meals. Saturday mornings usually have live entertainment. Best place to shop if you like farm to table produce and meat and like supporting small businesses. Bring your own shopping bags your sure to fill them!
We originally drove down for the Pencil Bison farm meat. We found so many great vedors here, we will definitely be coming back again. We bought some cool gemstone rocks from one of the stores there. We bought a big maple leaf glass bottle of maple syrup. We enjoyed getting to try some before buying. 1 thing to note, if you want to have a bigger selection of veggies, bison or flowers, get there early! They have a great selection of food vendors at the market. I look forward to trying some of the Thai food next time. Every vendor we encountered was friendly. The market was bustling and has a fun vibe.
A great option for lunch with coworkers on Thurs and Fri, and then you have a chance to hit a few vendors as well--my favorites are getting a medium pretzel (think the size of a dinner plate) and some flowers for the weekend. Weekends are pretty hectic but great for people-watching if thats something you enjoy. Live music in the back is a nice touch as well on the weekends.
Very nice awesome variety. Lots of local artists. Locally grown vegetables,fruits and flowers. Ate lunch had street tacos delicious. Hubby had peach crepes. Will go back when 8n town. Mostly in doors so the weather is not a factor.
Love this place! So much to choose from but the food at the Greek vendor is amazing (especially their fruit tart when they have it) as well as her cabbage rolls. The meat pies and soft pretzels are also great. Do yourself a favor and go there... now!

It brings a smile on my face whenever I visit this place. The people, food, ambience everything about this place is great and lovely. Its a must thing for me to start my weekend with breakfast or brunch at 2nd Street farmers market. I would say its the best farmers market in Dayton area.
This place rocks! The food is beyond stellar. The atmosphere is amazing. I suspect my family and I will be frequent attenders. I would recommend if you have a stroller to go after the peak lunch times, as it would be hard to navigate an infant in a stroller. But the experience is worth it.
Love to eat and shop down here. Cant wait until summer when the fresh fruit and vegetables are in and everything is in full swing again. The deli is awesome! We eat there 2 or 3 times a month and have told all of our friends, and bring people with us everytime we come.
I went in for lunch and love the selection! Cheeky Meat Pies is a sure bet for delicious, but the many options make it hard to decide! After lunch we had some amazing pastries and got some fresh bread to take home. I loved browsing the different booths. The Sunday hours are currently on trial, but I hope to see them continue!
My favorite place on the weekend. So many fun and delicious places to brunch. This is where I get my eggs and butter year round. I promise you the eggs taste better! And the butter is really good. I get carrots, mushrooms, greens and herbs from the same place I get my eggs and they ate all full of the flavor theyre supposed to have. I get my butter from the spice place. Theres also an absolutely fabulous bread place. Dont forget the maple place, the chocolates and so much more! Oh and try the omelette and soup places. And yes theres coffee.

Great place to go for fresh produce, organic meats and other such things. I go every week for the dairy store that sells milk in glass bottle instead of plastic. They have a bunch of great food stalls too so you can shop and grab a bite too.

2nd Street Market is a wonderful place to visit for breakfast and or lunch. The vendors are friendly and the items are unique. Stop in for fresh produce and bakery items or stop by the wine tasting vendor and purchase a bottle of local wine. All items are handmade and local. Its a great way to spend the day.
This is a great little downtown gem with lots of stuff. Want fresh flower? Have them. Hand made soap? Yes. Alpaca socks? Check. Fresh cheeses, milk or eggs? Yes to all the above. Veggies, fruit and herbs? Yup? New Zealand meat pies? YES PLEASE!Ther only real drawback is that the venue is too small for the activity. It gets so crowded and hot and its too hard to find an empty table to sit and eat. Otherwise, its totally worth your time. Go early, before it gets too hot and crowded.Great stop for playing Pokemon Go or Wizards United, too!
Saw some of their booths at a festival downtown and have been coming every weekend since i would recommend coming early in the morning it gets busy Fast
I always love coming here for the local foods and gifts. There is prepared food available, so its a great brunch or lunch spot, and in warmer months there are even more booths outside! Make sure you stop by the Chefs Case for a great panini. :)Small note of caution: Some of the inside vendors sell non-local produce in the off season, but its all clearly signed.
I love coming here. There is such a wide variety of places to eat. The little boutique stores are great to browse. Everyone is nice and helpful. They often sponsor local events, there are often local musicians playing on Saturdays. I wish there was a little more seating for lunch, but this is definitely one of my favorite places in Dayton.
I love 2nd Street Market. HydroGrowers has great produce, I love the giant peacock feather i just got at the pet store for my cat, i got seeds and info on community gardening at the seed swap. So many wonderful local vendors! Delicious food as well, just a wonderful place all around, highly recommend it.
A charming railroad freight depot built in 1911 is worth the visit. A casual, fun, interesting atmosphere with a eclectic style of shopping and dining from local vendors. Family friendly, lunch with friends, or a stroll with your sweetie, dont miss out on this little treasure.
Farmers’ markets usually focus on garden fresh vegetables, cheeses, eggs, poultry, and meats. In addition, this one has an abundance of the above, but also many food stalls. Everything is indoors, so weather is not a problem.
The place is always full of interesting shops and businesses. You can always find something new to look at. The food selection is great and you can find something for everyone.Be sure to carry some cash on you as not all places accept credit/debit cards. There is an ATM on site if you did forget to bring cash.
I love 2nd Street Market! This is my favorite spot to hit up on an early Saturday afternoon. The food options are all locally owned, friendly, and delicious. They have live music and great produce, bread, milk, and crafts. I like to go here whenever people are visiting to show them one of the best spots in Dayton!
Wish we had better weather throughout the year so to support local/regional farmers here. Good selection when in season. Only drawback is the place is way to crowded mid morning into noon hours so go early. Great selection of home cooked meals from local restaurateurs so again go for breakfast. Would like to see it be able to expand more outside and move the parking to across street to give it more of a street vibe or allow some gardening to take place downtown. Has a lot of potential.
A great place in the Gem City to support small business owners and get some really cool and unique items. Its great for gift shopping and great for foodies. Theres several food places to choose from and several local food suppliers if you looking to cook at home. Definitely a place to check out if youre ever close.
Fun place with lots of great food vendors, prepared & fresh ingrediants to take home for you to create meals. Lots of crafts as well as foods. We go for cheese curds, but I love the crepe place as it has GF. Bring cash as many vendors cant do small transactions by card.
The 2nd Street Market is awesome! Wish they had a bigger area, because I really think theyd have more vendors. There are great food vendors to choose from, not to mention tons of fresh veggies, fresh baked items, hand made jewelry, fresh flowers, live music and so much more. They have started opening on Sundays now, on a trial basis. i hope it lasts -- love this place!
Neat little market. Not as much produce as I was expecting at a Farmers market, but the produce they did have was great. Picked up some green beans, avacado, and squash to make baby food. Also picked up the most delicious cantaloupe today. Definitely check it out if youre in the area. Another interesting feature of this area is the beautiful graffiti on the walls in the parking area.
Its best in the summer when the fresh produce vendors are here but also very enjoyable year round. Amazing mexican breakfast! I recommend the gyros and specialty desserts sold here. Very crowded on the weekends.
Best bet go hungrySo much to sample and most place have breakfast till 1 on Saturdays.The Farmers Market outside is every good fresh Herbs and vegetables available as they are on the inside.If you Love Chocolate see the Bellbrook Chocolatiers it is excellent as is the White ChocolateThere is fresh coffee inside the market as is pottery, pet foods, clothing, baked goods, fresh breads, meats, and things I cant remember.Go and enjoy the foods and the atmosphere and take cash and credit/debit no checks.
Great place to grab breakfast or brunch on the weekend plus lots of local artisans and cool shops to buy gifts for someone you love including yourself! Always a great time always something new to see or find.
Great atmosphere and wide assortment of interesting foods. Lots of baked goods and other items for sale, though not a true farmers market (no veggies our fruits for sale). Even had live music and a guy giving samples of cricket-powder brownies.
It was good to be back at the Second Street Market. Fresh Produce. A variety of vendors. I went early in the morning, so the crowd had not gotten busy. I enjoy starting my day at Second Street Market.
There are many vendors here, everything from fresh produce, to fresh breads, homemade kettle corn, you name it. A more unique place to eat in this market is the crepe shop. They are made to order, and their selection of different types is fantastic. I have heard wonderful things about the mexican food shop here but I have not yet tried it myself.There are several vendors that even have items like pottery, flowers and crafts so not everything relates to food.I look forward to coming back soon.

Ive visited a lot of city markets and although Id love to give 2nd Street a 5, its just a 4 in comparison. I might be a little bitter because the recent turnover of shops have taken some of my favorite vendors and replaced them with shops Im just not personally interested in. The only thing I really come to the market for anymore is eggs and produce. Whereas I used to leave with yogurt, milk, fresh sprouts, wine, and salsa. I do love the food. I wish they could somehow make more seating, its frustrating waiting in line for food and then walking up and down the place stalking people for their table, especially with children in tow. I do love the busy atmosphere. It feels warm and friendly - like Dayton - there.
Lots of choices. Although there are seasonal produce along with meat, some dairy and baked goods available; for the most part it is a non-food commercial market. Even the food vendors have the fill of a fast food joint rather than neighborhood market. Nevertheless, a good place to spend a summer afternoon.

Hip little market that is ideal for finding local goods. Mostly small eateries but also many hand-crafted and unique items from local maple syrup and honey to pottery made in front of your eyes. Really enjoy this place. Worth a walk through if to Be never been.
This place is an amalgamation of unique small and local businesses. You can get fresh produce at fair prices and i havent had a negative experience yet (knock on wood). I always enjoy the crepes and pastries I eat here. If youre a caffeine addict, also get some top notch coffee!
Love this market! My favorite place to get small gifts for friends and family. Perfect for a Saturday morning brunch downtown although I wish it was a bit bigger. Happy they have Sunday hours now too!
I love the crepe place called Crepe Boheme. My favorite item there is the “Elliott special”: three-cheese crepe with smoked salmon. I love the coffee shop. I go with friends almost every Saturday. They have live music. And don’t forget to say hey to John the Potter: he’s extremely nice.Oh... definitely get a cupcake from Desserts by Ann K. So yummy. With milk, of course

LOVE this market. My pets love the handcrafted toys and homemade treats at the humane societys booth. The cheeky meat pies are delicious and vegetarian-friendly. There are two bread companies: one serves tasty creations like blueberry lemon bread & the other offers croissants that are the best Ive had outside of France.
Excellent city market; its pretty well split between produce, kiosk-restaurants, and local craft bazaar. My wife and I go weekly year around for milk, eggs, and produce (most local produce obviously gets pretty slim come winter). Pro-tip: Go on Thursday or Friday for smaller crowds. There are not as many produce vendors, but the small crowds make it nice
Typically really love this market but attempting to enjoy the market during covid was awful. Accidentally went the wrong way into an exit and was screamed at by metroparks employees. They were very, very rude. Although it was outside it was still very congested, it would have been helpful if they utilized the whole lot instead of one side.
Totally worth a try! Its so much better than it was the last time I visited, maybe 5 years ago. Its better organized, better selections, the crepe place, taco place, and fresh bread vendor I can verify to be really good, and thats just scratching the surface

Just average for me. Half the vendors sell the same things. Not a lot of variety. Didnt actually feel like a true farmers market, more like a hobby shop.
One of my favorite places in Dayton! I come here almost every Saturday for brunch and there is so much good food to choose from. Ive never had a bad meal here!
We lived walking distance from this market for 4.5 years, and were regulars the whole time. Theres a little bit of everything. We especially loved Rahns Artisan Breads (Im from the East Coast, and theirs were the only bagels I would eat in the area), Caffeine Carl, the grocer across from Caffeine Carl (I wish I could remember their name), Crepe Boheme, and Dayton Urban Green. The live music on Saturdays was really nice. I also loved that they had battery recycling bins there. Ill miss it a lot!
Great place Friday through Sunday for lunch , farmers market items, as well as local artisans and crafts people.
I go on the weekend and enjoy the people watching and food. The park district wont limit the hoarding of the tables by several groups that show up push the tables together and sit and drink coffee all day thus alit of people have to stand and eat. The vendors are complaining in secret but are prohibited from any negative comment outright as part of the lease agreement. So your forced to go to the far end of the building to the long tables to sit and eat. So with that said Saturday 9-1pm is the busiest time of service so you might pick elsewhere to eat and just shop a bit here.
Eclectic group of vendors. Most of the food is very good. Great place to buy produce and meat straight from the farmer. If you are planning to eat for lunch, try to beat the rush so you can get a seat.
There are lots of nice and interesting food stalls here, and most of theme are pretty inexpensive. As far as produce, the choices are not quite as extensive as Id have liked, but you can certainly find a lot of what youd want. It can get pretty crowded on Saturday mornings.

LOVE the flower guy and chicken guy...the chicken guy has the most delicious chicken burgers, Greek is our favorite! Amazing crepes and Mediterranean food in the little restaurants. We always hit up the flavored oil/balsamic kiosk and the MRDD kiosk...I like over that everything there is made with love.

I love 2nd street market so much! I can grab someof the best fruits and vegetables here, a bite to eat from one of the many AMAZING food vendors and some flowers for the week. One of my favorite places to visit on the weekend.

You have to try Second Street Market for lunch. The variety of choices is amazing and amazingly delicious!The booths are great too with everything from handicrafts to farm fresh meats, fruits and veggies.Youll be glad you went! I promise.
Second Street Market is a great place to find delicious lunches, beautiful fresh cut flowers, and farm fresh veggies and fruits. Make sure to check thier website before you go. During certain times of the year they are only open Thursday to Saturday at other times they are open Thursday to Sunday.
Worth a stop if youre in the area Thursday - Sunday. Delicious prepared food vendors and tons of local meat, veg, eggs, etc. Rahns Artisan Bread is amazing. Come out and support the local guys!!
Great atmosphere, healthy food choices, friendly vendors
Pretty typical market. A lot of junk you dont need. Nothing over exciting. Talked to a vendor who sold produce that was from California? I get the same junk at Kroger and at least that is labeled organic. If you are into bread or bakery style items you are probably in luck. If not you can skip this market.
This place is awesome. You have vendors that fix foods to eat and places to sit and enjoy it. They also gave fresh foods such as veggies, dairy, and meats. There are also little gift shops. Fun place to visit.
Great place to score local and regional fresh produce. We love the honey man and Spice Rack. Have some Thai for lunch, great couple and wonderful food. I do wish the market were open on Sundays.
What a phenomenal way to spend some time on a beautiful Saturday! Local vendors, music, the sights, the smells! It was amazing. Do yourself a favor and get there! Time and money well spent!!!!!

Amazing local vendors with lots of variety. Check it out. Its a really fun place to go on the weekends and one of my personal favorites. If you go later you can get a ton of pretty flowers for lower price.

A happening place for fun and quick unusual food. More young adults are frequenting the place. Love the variety of shops and food stands and that vegetarians can find food as easy as carnivores. My wife and I love going there.
A fun place for lunch with an incredible diversity of food selections. Fresh breads and pastries available as well. Take home a bottle of the gourmet olive oil infused with lime.
Our whole family loves going to the 2nd Street Market! Its the only place everyone always agrees on. There is literally something here for everyone. Delicious ethnic cuisine for meat lovers and vegetarians alike, frozen treats, coffee, gourmet chocolates, baked goods. We always stock up on the fresh eggs, bread and milk from the dairy. Plus you can pick up a free book compliments of the Dayton Metro library while youre there. It is super crowded on Saturdays so we try to always go on other days.
We went for Santa, but will be going back for the wonderful assortment of food from all over. Hungarian, Thai, Mexican, Italian, you name it. The bread and crepes were amazing and we cant wait to go back.
I love coming here on a Saturday morning! Ive made friends with a few of the shop owners and I enjoy the atmosphere. The only annoying thing about this place is the combination of very slow-walking people who stop dead in their tracks and the narrow alley... baaaaad combination.

They are forcing masks and did not have much set up on the outside. Wasnt really worth going to at all. I feel bad for the vendors that have to put up with the ridiculous mandates.
So many vendors selling ready to eat food (seating inside but it does fill up ) , homemade crafts and local produce , open Thursday - Saturday but dont go on Saturday if you are claustrophobic since they are long narrow buildings , free parking , stroller and wheelchair friendly but not comfortable on Saturdays
Very neat, lots of self sustainable products which I support, lots of different products, need something to do or feel like blowing a little cash on a neat little trinket or some home grown food, come here. Kind of a drive for me but its worth it
Nice collection of local shops and their products and produce. Limited hours, sometimes tough parking, but the food is delicious and many vendors have nice gift ideas.
Best indoor market in Dayton. Diverse restaurant-quality food offerings, fresh produce, meats, breads, and desserts. Must try = Purely Sweet Bakery for the best tasting gluten-free cupcakes, cookies, brownies and paleo granola.

The item i was interested in was at the west end of the venue and the only entrance was at the east end. Ive got a really bad hip and had to walk from one end to the other, back to the entrance and then back to my vehicle that I parked near the item i wanted. Sucks being me I guess.........

We do about 80% of our household shopping here. The vendors are friendly, the prepared food is great, and its a nice rustic atmosphere. Worth making the time to visit!
2nd Street Market is one of the best things going on in the downtown Dayton area.There is a wide variety of food prepared by local business owners for sale in the market. In addition to prepared foods, there are many vendors offering produce, meats, cheeses, coffees & teas, and even artisan bread.In addition to food offerings, there are many craft offerings at the market. You can buy clothing, artwork, candlework, carvings, and other hand crafts. Often there is live music being played in the market. This is a great place to drop by early in the morning, have a great cup of coffee, a light breakfast, and then enjoy your morning of shopping.
Really neat place to check out. A different side of Dayton you dont always get to see. Highly recommended to visit it at some point. Also a great place to bring people visiting Dayton, in my opinion.
Great place to shop unique finds in a quant downtown space. Artisan crafts,baked goods, spices,plants and yarns every weekend from Thursday to Sunday. Come early for breakfast.stay for lunch.

I visit 2nd Street market on a weekly basis. In the summer, when local farmers have stalls set up along the front of the building, its a great spot for local produce. Year round, it has several excellent bakeries, a vendor who sells high quality milk, some produce selection, and several vendors who sell high quality meat. It also features a fairly diverse array of dining options, which range from okay to very good. Finding an open table can be a bit of a challenge, though. At noon on a Saturday youre more likely to win a Powerball jackpot than you are to score a table.
Such a great place to spend my Saturday. Very family friendly. Plenty of local vendors selling everything from jewelry to food. You will not be disappointed.
Great place for lunch on Thursday and Friday. And I love weekends great place to shop for vegetables and gifts. I wish they were open daily for lunch and dinner and they could use more seating areas and parking.
I enjoyed every second. The meat pies were delicious. The frappes were good. The brownie was okay. The gyro was delicious as well. Bought some kettle corn, but Ill try it later.

Local food and fare, delicious restaurants, handmade crafts, and natural items like food and beauty items available for sale. Its a little crowded but I love the vibe. If you want a warm bite try Cheeky Meat Pies or Arepas. (I freakin love Arepas, been to three of their locations so far!) There is also a coffee and smoothie place... everything you need for a perfect Saturday morning!

It have unusual and interesting shops! From crepes both sweet and savory to unique items, but make sure you arrive before 3 PM as thats closing time.
Local vendors selling fresh produce, flowers, hot and cold food, fresh bread, pet treats, honey, garden items, and much more. Lots of free parking and places to sit and eat, people watch, or meet friends. Lots to see. Vendors are friendly and helpful.

Awesome place! My friends brought me there for crepes when i was in town. They had gluten free crepes that are actually really good. Would definitely recommend.
Always something going on. Four stars because due to the way booths are laid out, the hall gets very congested very fast, and its hard to get around on a busy day. Some very good food, meet, and stables vendors here. Bring cash.
Always love visiting. The unique finds and delicious food vendors are worth the trip. The fresh fruit and vegetables in the summer are awesome.

2022-03-182nd Street Market is an Oasis in Dayton. Today, they had the rolling doors open, and a very nice breeze was moving through the market. The smell of fresh food was all over the place. Today, I eat at Azars! The reuden sandwich came with a small salad. The taste of the reuden was GREAT, the bread tasted was Phenomenal, the Postitcio ( Lasagna) was alright really chessey, which is great, something was just a little different. Overall, it wasnt bad. The Belgium waffle covered in fresh fruit was FREAKING AWESOME!!!!!! LOVED IT.Not only will I return to the market, but I will eat at this restaurant in the market again. There were a few other places to eat inside the market, which I will try later.

2022-03-26Unique vendors, smelled amazing from all the food vendors that were open and doing a brisk business. Any of the vendors that I interacted with were friendly and very knowledgeable about their wares and happy to answer questions. Very narrow walkways, so happy it wasnt crowded like it can become on the weekends.

2022-05-28Perhaps I have been spoiled from living in other states that had awesome markets, but I was not impressed with this place. I was expecting more vendors selling vegetables, fruits, and eggs. I only saw two vendors that sold produce and was not impressed with the options. No vendors that sold eggs. A lot of vendors selling jewelry, bath products, plants/flowers, bread, oil, butter, and jam. Everyone was really nice. They had some restaurants selling food… the crepe place was good. I went through the market pretty quickly. I love going to markets, but this is one of the lower quality ones I’ve been to.

2022-05-01We went back Saturday morning for the first time in over 2 years and were very excited to see that almost all the vendor stalls were occupied and most of them were the pre-pandemic vendors. Food vendors were up and running and just as tasty as before. We love going there and have really missed it.

2022-03-06Loved 2nd Street Market. Day trip from Columbus, and ended up at the Market, and lucky for it. Indoors but very airy. So many creative, interesting vendors. Many choices for freshly made food as well. Come early for best choices for baked products and flowers. Bring a bag. Support your local merchants!

2022-03-02I used 2 love this place but found out they are letting some folks who are well known drug dealers/users, buy all the stuff they make & sell from stolen homes/stores.the people are also known felons! *please research the folks you allow to set up shop here better! I wouldnt feel safe with my children/family consuming food thats around hard core narcotics!

2022-04-25An enjoyable space for a cup of coffee or some fantastic food choices with multiple vendors...We picked up some vegetables and browsed the various shops...was hard to choose where to eat between all the great options.. we will be back to try more!
