The drivers were professional and their communication about delivery times was perfect.
They were fast and efficient but also super careful with all my belongings.

Im concerned my containers have been lost or stolen in transit. All I know is that they left Oregon and never made it to Cincinnati. All attempts to inquire with the call center and local contact have been unproductive. Currently they are 5 days late. 1800PACKRAT, if youre listening please contact me because if I dont receive an update soon, I will have no choice but to file a police report and an insurance claim. Thank you.

Absolutely the best experience when temporary storage needs arise.
I had the worst moving experience with 1-800-PACK-RAT with our move from California to Ohio. Our POD was 7 days delayed but they could not give me an ETA on arrival until they were 5 days delayed. We literally went 5 days not knowing were our belongings were. After all that waiting it turns out they were STILL in California. They offered to help compensate with the additional costs of not having our belongings but when I submitted the receipts, they only compensated us for 25% of the costs. There customer service team is worthless and mislead us the entire time. I originally chose pack-rat because they could deliver on a specific day, now I think they just told me that to get my business. DO NOT USE 1-800-PACK-RAT unless you want to wait longer and spend additional money.
Moving sucks - but moving with P Rat made it suck a LOT less.

The delivery driver was a fun guy to chat with. Made the entire experience that much better. Hope we get the same guy the next time we move (in like 10 years).
Moving is stressful! 1-800-Pack-Rat made it a little easier with their portable storage containers. They dropped off the container for us to fill up, then they took it away and stored for us until we were ready for it again. Each time the driver, Andy, was friendly and professional. He really gave the personal touch to this whole new experience.

They will delay delay delay. their phone lines are ALWAYS busy and itll take 4+ hours to receive a call back from their queue if at all, and the anytime window is exploited to your inconvenience. Dont bother; youre not saving any money or time. For long distance moves, find a competitor. My experience started with a decent drop off, a super sketchy pick up, and a more-than-10-business-day nightmare where we still dont have our stuff. 16 days now. Too many contractors to have it be remotely professional and zero peace of mind in the interim. Unless they miraculously show up and unload the trailer out of the goodness of their hearts at this point ;less than one star if it were possible.
NEVER do business with this company. I could not provide them with a one star due to incompetence on every level from quote to billing to delivery of service. Again, never do business with these schiesters. Begins with quote vs. first months billing of $50 difference per month to monthly rate increase in 4 months (1 year quote) to ruining contents based on error in their contracted employees misinformation picking up unit mistakenly. What a nightmare.
I called ahead of time to let them know what time I was picking up the load, came in 20mint earlier than my appointment it’s been 40 minutes and I’m still waiting and no one has answered the door either

2022-07-21So, we ran into a minor complication during the moving process, which usually would bump my rating down a star or two, however they handled those difficulties with such expertise that I cannot in good faith take off any stars. If anything, they proved their excellence by resolving a difficult situation instead of crumbling down and deflecting the blame.

2022-03-31We recently used PACKRAT for our cross country move from Cincinnati to Los Angeles. The customer service was wonderful, and our pod arrived in California a day early. We were able to save quite a bit of money and not have to deal with driving a U-haul. We will definitely be recommending PACKRAT to our friends and family in the future!

2022-02-03Hard working, competent people who communicated with me every step of the way so I didn’t need to sit around worrying whether or not I’d ever see my stuff again. Couldn’t believe how quickly my container arrived. I was sincerely ready for a 2-3 day delay, but they showed up right on time. That should tell you enough.
